I got in from Japan this morning at 1 and after 10 hrs sleep had to get caught up on what I've missed. Your story is first on my list of reads! Peter and John are so much better behaved then when they lived with Claire. Peter is especially attached to Justin and watches his back. Nice to see he wasn't intemidated by the mean nasty intern at the gallery. I'm sure that the gallery's owner's wife is going to get a earful after this. LOL. Love how you got Greg to get severence pay from the hospital. Wish something would happen with the software that would cause trouble for Hal and his friend and have the hospital begging Greg to come back, not that he would. Now I'm off to see that next chapter.

I finally managed to get all the chapters that had yet to read this wonderful story.
I love to see Brian and Justin together and having a family. It's actually quite ironic and a slap in the face of Joan and Claire see the boys being family to Peter and John, giving them the love and stability that the two both need.
I think Kevin lovely and Gus in its history is fantastic!
I loved the attitude of Justin of this chapter. And Nora is really a hateful person.

I'm enjoying your latest chapter, pretty sad that Peter had to see a homophobic young woman in San Fransisco. I would be really pissed of I were Peter.
also wondering how Justin's art stint in San Fransisco, I wish we could see the bonding between John and Brian at their home, considering they had not so good history in the past ahaha, it seemed like Justin and Peter make a great team together in SF.

Justin is so good at being a 'parent' to the boys and Brian is getting a lot better about it, those boys are very lucky to have them.
Very glad that Greg is taking the job working 'with' Brian. Nice to see him having his say when they fired him.
OMG I can't believe the shit that Nora pulled.
Maybe you could have a spinoff with Michael, Lindsay and Nora and call it Clueless. I wonder if Justin will now have to explain to Peter what Nora meant with her stupid comments.
I am still loving this story and check every day hoping for new chapters.
Author's Response: To be fair, Claire did not set the parenting bar too high. I think J&P know how lucky they are to have the uncles in their lives and I like that the boys are often amused by B&J's interactions. How great would it be to have a new job lined up when your butthead bosses fire you.
I think Peter is a little confused about Nora so there will be some explaination from Justin. I do try and post a new chapter once a week but do not always hit that mark. Thanks for all your nice comments!!! Bill

Sorry, I forgot to ask if you'll show Kevin's "date" with Grandmom Jen, he is such a sweet child, I'm glad Jen has so much love for Kevin. Her love for all "her" boys is normal of a mother and grandmother, she could teach Joan a lot.
Author's Response: Grandparents Day is a couple weeks away - school hasn't started yet. We will be "on site" for that visit. I think Jennifer is delighted to have all these outlets for maternal love. Great chapter,Hal's an ass and the people who hired him will find that out soon enough. Can't wait for more info on Nina, Ted and Blake will make great daddies for the girl. I wonder what Claire wrote to Brian! Lindsey is still a bitch no surprise there, I guess the owner of the gallery won't be hiring family any more. I didn't understand the intern's agenda, she showed no respect for Peter, Justin, and even her uncle. Don't know why Patrick was so upset that Greg is going to be working with Brian. Your work is always a gift, I hope we have many more chapters coming our way, Thanks.
Author's Response: Wow, really nice comments, thanks a lot! Nina is coming to stay for cookie making this weekend and for sure we will hear how that goes. The letter reveal is coming in the next chapter. I think the intern comes from narrow minded, bigoted parents and because of her ingrained homophobia she ASSUMED horrible things without any basis in fact. I think Patrick was afraid that his father being in a boss/employee relationship with Brian would chnage his friendship. There are bosses out there that like to keep a distance from their employees - I bet Hal doesn't socialize much with people who report to him at work. I do still have lots of ideas for new story lines so as long as people read and review I don't see a quick ending. Thanks for all you very nice comments and your continuing support. Bill

I'm in SoCal, and was thinking what you post is immediately loaded, but I see the time on my review is later than when I wrote, so guess it's a factor of the computer/server.
As for the conflict between yard and writing, may I suggest a headphone set up to dictate while you garden? But only if you want to!
I hope you get as much joy out of writing this story as we do out of reading it, so we have years ahead of us to enjoy it in!
Author's Response: From my observations I think the server that houses Midnight Whispers is on Central Time. So there is a two hour time difference between us and MW. I am an old fashioned writer. I like to type it myself on the PC, then review & edit it (not always completely sucessfully) and read the final version again right before posting. This will sound pretty conceited but I enjoy this story - sometimes I go back and read past chapters - which is when I discover my edit failures. As long as readership stay up and people keep giving me positive feedback in reviews I will keep writing. I have ideas for storylines well into the future. Thanks as always for being so loyal about reviewing. Bill

Two people got fired in one chapter - well that´s american business life! In Nora´s case I so appreciate the way to remove her immediately from a place where she didn´t belong. Poor Peter didn´t quite get what happened, I hope he will recover quickly and enjoy beeing in SF. I like a strong Justin!
Happy moments: Brian and John playing pool; Greg has a new job while Hal gave a poor performance in firing him. Greg working WITH Brian - very clever! I hope everything will work out for Patrick and Kevin soon. Peter and Justin holding hands.
Whatever you´ll have in the next chapter - I can´t wait ! Perhaps something about Nina with Blake&Ted...? ;;;)))))

I think Peter will be fine and it would be hard not to enjoy San Francisco - it is a beautiful, interesting city. I don't think any friendships will be disrupted due to Greg's new job. Wow that Nora sure was a piece of work. I can’t believe she had the nerve to peg Justin as some kind of perverted pedophile. When Brian hears this story, he'll be none too happy. It just disgusts me how some automatically equate homosexuality with pedophilia like it's every gay man's mission to screw every little boy he sees. Nora really should have checked out ALL the facts before making such an accusation...luckily Rick and peter were there to set things right

Wow Justin in attack mode look out. I think this goes back to that blonde thing where everyone expects dumb and Justin walks in as the smartest person in the room. Ok the Nora thing was a little weird although why did younger Lindsay keep flashing through my mind.... I think Patrick and John will be fine once Patrick gets over the fact his Dad works for Brian but it may take some reassurance from John. Gus and Kevin won't even notice. Lots of interesting stuff for what felt like a really short chapter. I hope the next chapter is longer and takes less then 11 days to write and yes that was a HUGE hint. Still loving this even when it takes forever to get more LOL.......
Author's Response: Justin always stands up for himself. Nors is lucky Brian wasn't there, he might have killed her. We'll find out a little more about Nora in the next chapter. I don't belive any friendships will be disrupted by Greg's new job. This was a longer than average chapter based on number of words but I agree that 11 days was too long between updates. I was able to get your subtle hint! Wearher here has been beautiful so more time spent working the yard than writing. I know you don;t want excuses just results so I promise to try harder. I like the part where you said Justin and Peter got their money's worth out of the buffet.
And the niece of the gallery owner was just too much, glad he fired her on the spot.
Interesting chapter, and I was glad to see it, as this is my favorite WIP on the site.
