Summary: Feature

***Featured Story for July 2016***

Brian Kinney: CEO of Kinnetik Advertising Agency, but now a recluse and making a living writing screenplays: romantic thrillers. But these are stories that never have happy endings  ~~  Following circumstances that leave him scarred and guilt-ridden, Brian has retreated to his house and buried himself in his work  ~~  Justin Taylor: A struggling artist who is commissioned to paint a portrait of Brian's son, Gus  ~~  What happens when they meet?  ~~  Can Justin persuade Brian he's still as beautiful and desirable as he ever was and that there is such a thing as a happy ending and that they can live happily ever after?  ~~  Feedback welcome  ~~  Julia  ~~  (Note: For the purposes of this story, Vic Grassi is alive and well and working for Brian. I always liked Vic and see no reason why in this fic he can't still be around!)

Rating: NC-18

Summary:

I always thought how sad it was that Justin couldn't remember dancing with Brian at the prom. When Brian tries to re-waken Justin's memories and recreate it for him, in order for him to face the bashing and move on and Justin says, “You kissed me? In front of everybody?” and Brian replies, “Yeah … you should have been there,” with so much pain, my heart breaks every time I watch it. So here, Justin gets to see how they danced together.

Running on Empty by Julia Rated: GENERAL [Reviews - 1]
Summary:

Living in the UK, we've only had S1 here, so I've had to keep up by buying the DVD's and reading as much as I can! Well, S3 arrived yesterday! I managed to watch the first two episodes last night and cried throughout 301 and a good part of 302! And seeing how Brian (looking more beautiful than ever, if that's possible) is so lost without Justin, still refusing to admit how he feels and yet his every action screams otherwise. The same actions that should have told Justin how much Brian loved him, even if he couldn't say those pretty words. Everyone's bad-mouthing him, but woe-betide anyone bad-mouthing Justin! Even leading to Brian hitting his best friend; the first time they've ever fought. And the end of 302; seeing Brian dancing by himself in the middle of the crowded dance floor, lost in the music, or whatever chemical substance he's taken in order to get through, is heartbreaking. Subsequently, I got up at 00.45am this morning in order to put this down on paper. It's not very long (not as long as this preamble!), but I hope you like it.

Feedback welcome ~ Julia

Family Ties by Julia Rated: NC-18 [Reviews - 4]
Summary:

Brian tries to deal with his feelings after he was cleared of molesting his nephew. Note: I’ve read on a few sites that people are wondering why Brian doesn’t wear his bracelet any more. At the end of 304 when we see Brian going back into the loft after Justin has given him back the bracelet he took from Brian’s nephew, Brian appears as if he may be taking it back off again and discarding it. This is my take on what was going through his mind at the time.

I hope you enjoy it - feedback welcome.  Julia

A Crusade for the Heart by Julia Rated: NC-18 [Reviews - 6]
Summary:

It is the 12th Century. Sir Brian, Earl of Huntingdon, returns from the Crusades to aid the young Lord Justin and protect him from the evil Sheriff. In return, can Justin heal the wounds Brian carries with him after his experiences in battle?

~

Note: This story turned out a little more difficult to do than I thought it was going to be! Having set it in the 12th century, I found it wasn't possible to use modern language. Therefore, it's not going to be as quite as explicit as many of as would like, but perhaps more a tale of romance and chivalry. I hope you enjoy it all the same.  Feedback welcome.
