Hello everyone.  I am the 72 year old Mother of one girl and Grandmother of two girls.  The eldest is 25 and the youngest is 24.  All 3 of us moved to Pennsylvania five years ago for a fresh start after my living in Texas for the past 48 years.  My youngest and I eventually moved into a place of our own once my Daughter remarried after being single for 21 years, and I couldn't be happier.  I am wildly in love with Queer as Folk and Brian/Justin in particular.  I'm a native Californian, although I've lived all over the Country during the first 19 years of my life.  I've been writing since August, 2007, and it has made my retirement pure Heaven.  I love it more than anything.  I hope my readers will enjoy my work.  I truly appreciate all feedback and always respond to everything as quickly as possible.  Thank you for checking me out.  Hugs, Grammy

P.S.  I'm a die-hard hopeless romantic, so if that is the kind of story you are looking for...with a large sprinkling of spice to go with the sweet (and don't be fooled by the grey hair) then you've come to the right place for your stories.

P.P.S.  After 14 years of singular devotion to only one couple...Brian and Justin...my heart was finally captured by another (but I will never give up my first love, you can be assured of that).  I am now writing fanfic for Agron and Nasir (Nagron) from the Starz TV series, 'Spartacus'.  Believe me, their love is just as powerful as Britin's so I hope you'll give their stories a chance even if you don't know the show.

Well now, I don't know about the rest of you wonderful QAFers, but the ending for Brian and Justin wasn't the only one that irritated me.  I was extremely fond of Emmett, as I know so many of you folks were too.  I wanted a happy ending for him, but we all know how it ended with his footballer, Drew Boyd.  I got to thinking that it was time for them to have their closure too, and who better than master schemer, Brian to get the ball rolling (who can forget the way Brian set up Michael at his birthday...or even better, the way he set up Ethan and Justin at the diner when they were still secret lovers).

So here you go...Brian Kinney becomes matchmaker for Emmett and Drew.  Will his plans succeed or fail miserably?  Let's find out.  A huge thank you to my sounding board, Lori...my beta, Judy...and my dear Amy for the banner.  Enjoy!

Happy Halloween, everyone! It is time for me to offer your annual 'treat' for the holiday. This year I decided to give you another adult 'fairy' tale. This is my version of the 'Little Red Riding Hood' story. I hope you will enjoy it. I promise there are no mean 'tricks' waiting for you.

I want to thank Lori, for her invaluable help. She was a great sounding board. Huge thank you's also go out to the wonderful Judy for her terrific beta skills and my darling, Amy for the banner. I am a lucky lady.

I was watching 'So You Think You Can Dance' when a performance was given to the song 'Somebody That I Used to Know'.  Bingo!!!  Another inspiration for a Brian/Justin love story.  Amazing how it keeps happening.  LOL!  Anyway, this is not a songfic.  Only the title inspired me.  This is a What If? story.  It begins with...What if Brian got the job in New York City that was offered just before the end of Season One and left Pittsburgh behind.  The story moves forward to five years later.  Justin has moved to NYC after graduating from PIFA and after a year in the City, he runs into Brian at a fine restaurant.  What happens then?

I want to thank my dear Granddaughter, Marika, for the evocative banner and my dear friend, Judy for her wonderful beta skills.  I hope you will enjoy their reunion as much as I enjoyed envisioning it.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

Where Do I Begin? by mandagrammy Rated: PARENTAL GUIDANCE -13 [Reviews - 21]
Summary:

I have a new story for your weekend reading.  My beta, Judy is still on a whirlwind trip after enjoying her time at the glorious QAF Rise 'n Shine Convention so this is unbeta'd temporarily.  I'll post corrections asap when she is able to get some extra time in her super busy 28 hours a day.  LOL!

This is my newest version of what comes after Brian and Justin part at the loft, and Justin heads off to the airport for his flight to New York City.  As we all know it was Winter time.  Who could forget the unforgettable scene as snow fell outside their window when they made such beautiful love together?  Well, what if the snow fell so heavily that night that all flights were delayed?  And what if Justin, who we all know loves to make conversation with interesting people, finds himself sharing the waiting hours with a kindly old lady (yes, I'm putting myself into this story) who also enjoys a good conversation?  Where does it all lead?  Read on to find out.  Many thanks to my Granddaughter, Marika, for taking time out of her 4th of July celebrations with friends to provide the lovely banner.

Surprise! I know I've been away from writing for quite a while, but I have a new short story that I hope you will find somewhat worth the wait. The setting is post Season 5 by several months. Brian has developed a unique problem that he has only faced one other time. He turns to the psychologist who helped him with Justin's problem after the bashing in hopes of finding a solution. Will the good Doctor figure out the puzzle that is confronting Brian and help him solve it? I dedicate this to Lori, who had been a blessing in my present chaotic life and given me much needed incentive to get back to my writing. As always, I owe a great debt of gratitude to Judy, my beta, and Marika, my banner maker. Thanks to both of them.

Summary:

One day I began wondering, what if Brian and Justin led the life of Gale and Randy.  Now I had already decided not to write any RPS stories but that didn't mean I couldn't go totally AU on our beloved couple, Brian & Justin, and give them a similar (although most definitely not identical) life of their talented portrayers.  Because I will borrow on occasion from Gale and Randy, I must make note that this is entirely fiction (obviously) and has nothing to do with the reality of either of these wonderful men.

Our story begins the day that actors, Brian and Justin, try out for parts in a brand new cable television series called 'Queer Folk & Family'.  I hope you will enjoy suspending reality and find it fun to see what happens when these two talented actors meet and become lovers onscreen.  I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my beta, Judy, who is always there for me and my wonderfully talented banner maker, Nikki.

Summary:

This is a holiday story that was written for a True Queer Love fanfic challenge. I had to wait until the voting was over and winners announced before I could post on other sites. Finally I can present it to my friends and readers here. I hope you will enjoy it.

This is a what if version of that period of time at the end of Season 3 and beginning of Season 4 when Justin has gone to Hollywood to help in the making of the movie, "Rage" . What if Brian couldn't take the separation from his lover any longer, especially with a New Year about to start? What would Brian do about it? I owe a great debt of gratitude to my friend, Judy for her beta help and my Granddaughter, Marika for the banner. Hugs, Grammy

The Ghosts of Babylon by mandagrammy Rated: PARENTAL GUIDANCE -13 [Reviews - 14]
Summary:

Happy Halloween everyone!  I have a gift for you that I hope you will find to be a 'Treat' and not a 'Trick'.  For this year's Halloween, I thought I would skip a few generations and see what happens to Brian's Great-Grandson when he decides to buy the old building that once housed the Babylon Club and revive it, bringing it back to its once magnificent Dance Club Glory!  But Wait!!!  Could the place really be haunted?  And if so, what spirits are lingering there and what do they want?  Shall we find out?  Many thanks to my terrific beta, Judy for her last minute help with my story, and also to my Granddaughter for the very cool banner.  Enjoy!

I have a new short story for my wonderful readers.  My inspiration comes from the fact that we never got to see Justin joining Brian on that famous charity bike ride.  There were so many possibilities for such an adventure for the two of them.  This story is set Post Season 5, a few years later.  I hope you will enjoy the vacation as much as our boys have.  My deepest gratitude to my wonderful beta, Judy and my darling banner maker, Marika for their help with the story.

Summary:

I heard a new song called 'Black Out the Sun' by Darren Hayes on an LJ QAF fan site and immediately got the image of this all important night when Brian finally said 'I Love You' to Justin for the first time.  I was so inspired I had to re-visit that scene and give my version of Brian's thoughts that fateful evening.  I have filled in a couple of gaps from the show, such as the time between Brian's hearing the radio announcement of the bombing and his arrival at Babylon, and the short period of time when Brian was with Debbie at the hospital chapel and before he came back for Justin.  I hope you will enjoy my interpretation.  I've included the lyrics to the song (which do not belong to me, of course) so that you can understand why it affected me the way it did.  A huge debt of gratitude goes to my beloved Granddaughter for the remarkable banner she made for this story and my wonderful beta, Judy.

It is after midnight here so it is now August 19th.  Today is the 4th Anniversary of the day I posted my very first Brian/Justin fanfic, 'All Aboard the Love Train'.  As is my custom on this day, I have a brand new short story for all the wonderful folks who have supported me ever since I took that leap of faith and started writing.  This time I'm going back to my beginning and giving you a sequel to the original story.  This time I'm sending our boys to Europe instead of Chicago.  I hope you'll enjoy the mischief this wonderful couple get into.  I must offer my deepest thanks to a group of ladies who have made this journey for me the greatest adventure of my life.  I dedicate this story to Judy who became my beta as well as good friend...to Lori who provided the means for me to continue writing and become a dear personal friend...to Becky and Gerri for their support even before I began...and to dear sweet Sunny who also went from reader to wonderful friend.  There are so many more I could name for their cherished support, but I don't want to turn this dedication into a short story too.  LOL!  Let's just say that I truly appreciate each and every one of you.  A special thank you to my darling Granddaughter, Marika, for again providing such a great banner for my story.  I hope you will enjoy!  Much love, Grammy

This is a What If story.  What If Justin did not meet Brian during his Senior year.  What if he was bashed for a different reason.  Do you remember that one moment in the show when Justin wished he had died from the bashing...when he lost it and pushed his mother down?  What if those suicidal thoughts went further, but a guardian angel steps in to give him a glimpse of what he will miss if he dies?  Will it be enough for our young man to fight for his life?  Or is it too late to change his destiny?  This story is unbeta'd at the moment because my beta is off to see Randy in the Berkshires.  That is more important.  LOL!  Corrections will be made when she has more time.  The banner is again by my talented Granddaughter, Marika.  Enjoy!

The Scars of Your Love by mandagrammy Rated: PARENTAL GUIDANCE -13 [Reviews - 6]
Summary:

I spent my weekend listening to songs, and one in particular...Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' inspired this story.  A line from the song mentions the scars of your love and ends with 'We could have had it all'.  Like with so many other songs, I ended up thinking of Brian and Justin.  In this story, Justin has been in NYC for a year and become a great success in the artistic community.  The only problem is, he misses Brian too much to enjoy all the accolades.  He decides to send Brian a message and hopes to get the response he is praying for.  Will he?  I must thank Judy for her Beta skills and my darling Granddaughter, Marika, for providing the perfect banner to tell the story.  I love you guys dearly.

Folks, those of you who know me know that I am an incurable romantic.  Can't help it, and the royal wedding of William and Catherine filled my entire day today.  The end result, being the obsessed QAFer that I am, is that it has inspired a short story for our beloved Brian and Justin.  I just dashed this off and didn't even bother to send it to my beta, Judy, but I will and then will correct any errors there may be.  I simply couldn't wait to post it so please forgive any mistakes.  There isn't even a banner, but I hope to have one later.  I hope you will enjoy this little bit of fluff and fantasy as much as I enjoyed imagining it.

The other day I was watching an ad for a new animated film called 'Tangled'.  It was another version of the very old fairy tale, Rapunzel.  For some inexplicable reason I had this sudden vision of Justin locked in a tower and his own Prince Charming (Brian) coming to his rescue.  I couldn't get the image out of my head so, my friends, I simply had to write my own 'fairy' tale for our beloved boys.  I sincerely hope you will enjoy it.  I must thank my beloved Judy for her skilled beta work.

Hello everyone. Today is my Third Anniversary. Yes, today is the day that I posted my very first fanfic story. I can't believe how fast time has flown. This is the 72nd story or poem I've posted and I've loved writing them all. I hope you will enjoy this new short story. I've decided to make it a post-Season 5 event that takes it forward a couple of decades to see what ended up happening to our beloved Brian and Justin. I have no banner right now since my favorite banner makers are far too busy preparing for the new school year and enjoying their last days of Summer vacation. I may have one in future. I do still have my beloved beta, Judy, and I thank her from the bottom of my heart for all her help. As always I welcome any comments you may have. Thank you one and all for all your support these past delicious three years. I hope to give you more entertainment in the future during my fourth year. So now, on with our story.

Summary: Feature

" alt="" />

Hello again, my friends. Today I give you Chapter One of a brand new story. I promise you lots of sparkle, chills, thrills, sequins, and tights...not to mention romance...in this story set in post Stonewall, pre AIDS America where a small independent circus struggles to stay alive in a changing world. Their lead attraction is Trapeze star Brian Kinney and there are plenty of changes in store for him too when he meets the young man who is in desperate need of changes in his own life. What happens when these two souls meet and discover more than a love for the circus in common between them? I hope you will enjoy the journey.

I want to thank 3 special people for this story. One is Sunny, a dear friend who suggested the premise for this story. Another is Judy who will serve beautifully as my beta. Last but not least is my Granddaughter Amy who tried valiantly to get our boys into tights for the banner, but still created a beautiful one anyway. Thank you to them all. This story is dedicated to all of you. So on with the show.

Hello folks. Well, this time around I had an inspiration late on a Saturday night. By Sunday night it was written. I don't know where the thought came from, although I usually do. I guess my Muse was feeling frisky.

In this short story, we pick up the scene in the final episode of QAF where Brian is laying in his lonely bed after Justin has left for the airport. This is my version of what happened from that moment on. Warning...about 2/3 of the way in you are going to be jolted. Don't give up. Remember who is writing this and how I like my stories to end. LOL! Now, how about taking a long trip down memory lane with me. Hope you enjoy the journey.

Whoops!  I forgot to thank my dear friend, Judy for her beta skills and my beloved Granddaughter, Marika for the inspiring banner.  You girls are a blessing to me.
