Hi - I am an 53 year old mother of 5, blessed with 10 grandchildren.

I love the way Brian and Justin love each other, and cause each other to grow.

Whether reading about them, or writing about them, the boys capture my heart.

Another excellent story! I just love the soft side you give to our Brian, without taking away his quirks and insecurities, that make him not always act the way the rest of the world would expect.

There were a couple of drama points that I wish had been explored  a little more - like Justin finding out that Brian has parental right for Eric - finding out during a medical crisis where Justin couldn't be reached because he couldn't hear the phone when the hospital called, for instance. Also, he moment he first heard his sons voice. But, all in all, the story was such a terrific read that these missing opportunities couldn't mar how much fun it was to read.

I love how you write for our boys. Thanks - I will continue to read through some of your other stories.

loving life,

Charle

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

This is a sequel to Before There Was You, There Was You.   We left our boys in the last story together, happy with seven, yes SEVEN, children!  (Peter and Johnny, his late sisters’ Claire’s children whom he and Justin adopted. Jagger and Lizzy, Brian’s orphaned cousins who they also adopted.  Gus of course, and the twins, Maria and Andy that he and Justin fathered through a surrogate.)   This story picks up five years from the end of BTWYTWY. Our boys are about to have an unexpected adventure.  When life throws them a curveball will they be able to bounce back? Or will it take Divine intervention to bring our boys back together. There are many supporting characters from BTWYTWY that will be making appearances in this story. And some new one’s I’ll be introducing.  I hope you all enjoy!

...and this is exactly what I mean - here in this beginning - you weave a story of such depth of love that one can't help but be drawn into it - even with characters that we do not already have such a glowing history with - it makes one feel like that type of love might be possible here in the real world as well - and now, of course, I wait for more of the same with our boys, comfortably at home with what we know and love - and yet sure to be surprised as you tell your story - onward.....

Charle

Well, Gina Marie, where do I begin?

This story brought every imaginable emotion - I don't know if I have ever read a story with more to offer.

 - we had humor...Fran Fine - what a hoot!

 - we had redemption - who didn't want to see Joan admit she loved Brian?

and watching her learn to love Justin as well - what a bonus!

 - we had the probably my favorite secondary story ever! - and more - not

only Andy's story - but Alexander's story - and of course - the curse!

 - we had not only new characters who quickly became beloved - but also

the best break-out of a tragically under-used character with the full

bodied story line for Emmett - a place in the family and a partner we

love - who loves him heart and soul

 - we had amazing storyline dictated use of each and every character

introduced (except for the guy a Babylon in the BTWY-TWU series -

what as his name - jordan maybe?)  - love how you do that

 - we have good vs evil - Heaven vs - Hell - faith in God's will - leaving us

with even Brian believing - what a joy

 - and we have probably the longest review I've ever written - if I don't stop

I'll rival the length of the story - lol

so - I'll close with a thank you from the bottom of my heart - (although my family will not thank you - they haven't seen me in days - and I got nothing done on this vacation that I wanted to except read this story - lol)

hope your daughter is thriving and healthy - and that you continue to write long into the future - while I try to find time to move on to A Stitch in Time without being disowned and unemployed

as always - loving life,

Charle

the hope - the trust - the need - and of course the 'depth of love' that drives this story is what sets our boys apart - and you wrote it beautifully

thanks

Charle

Author's Response:

Thanks Charle! I'm so thrilled that you enjoyed this story :-) Eating disorders, particularly in men, tend to be misunderstood and/or underestimated in our society. In reality, they are often more about control than body image and they can be absolutely devastating. The recovery is long and often painful, but it's made much easier with the dedicated support of loved ones. Brian, being a perfectionist with hyper body image awareness, seemed to me a good candidate for an eating disorder, and that it would have to be Justin who helped him out of it...

Thanks so much for reading and for your wonderful comment. It means a lot and I appreciate it so much :-)

This is a really nice story - sure hope I'm not sorry I started it - the updates seem to be very spread out - and I hate having to read an entire story to remember it before moving on to the next chapter.

I love the pacing here - not rushing in to fix things with Justin and Brian - but giving them...and us...the little glimpses of hope that things will work out just the way we know is the only acceptable.

Brian making that last admission so easily - even though he couched it with a concern for the nurses' professionalism and not the fact that he can't stand anyone coming on to HIS Justin...let's us know that he might be more willing to open up his heart to Justin in a way he never could on the show at this stae of the game - we can only hope.

great writing - hoping to hear more very soon

This story was the first I read here on MW, and it's still going strong, leaving me on the edge of my seat (it's not nice to leave a fluffy old grandmother on the edge of her seat for this long - lol - not nice at all)

there is still so much to tell in this story - and I just love every minute of it

"Him that I love, I wish to be free - even from me."

Words not capable of being expressed out of selfishness, and words not capable of being expressed without pain. Words that Brian lives by, and that until this beautiful epilogue, Justin had absolutely no ability to understand...or live out.

These two characters are so much more than the overly simplistic story of the innocent and the arrogant that so many seem to think it is. It is the story of the damaged boy who has become a man, and along the way was so broken, that he can't imagine, can't conceive on any level, that he would be able to survive should that now change.

Right or wrong...and we all know it was not right, he pieced together the Brian Kinney he thought made him worth existence. If he didn't provide, far beyond all reason, for those he loved, then their relationships had no merit. And he couldn't allow that, because then HE had no merit, and no true right to live. Sure they all treated him terribly, making him out to be the bad guy each and every time, but he wouldn't have it any other way.

And if, in order for those he came to love to find all the promise that life offered them, he needed to make them hate him, well then so be it. It was worth the price. They deserved all the things in live that he never would, and he desperately needed to be the one to provide it. Besides, they were all better off without him anyway.

If only he could have realized sooner that the extremes he needed to go to in order to force them to want to live their lives without him negated everything he held true. He IS worth loving after all.

I love that you made Justin come to this realization before they could be reunited as well. He hurt Brian time and time again with blows more cruel and more devastating than any Jack could ever have delivered. No, there was no malice, and through most of it no conscious awareness, but it was real none the same, and Justin himself had nothing but continued pain to offer Brian until he realized that fact.

Now, they have both grown, both matured, and both learned the one thing that will carry them through the years...

...love isn't commitment, it isn't rules, it isn't obligation, and it almost never comes without pain and agony. It is a desire felt so deeply within the soul that without it life will simply never be as sweet...and it is a choice we must be compelled to make day after day, for the rest of our lives, not because we should...but because we want nothing more...for depth of love.

thank you for this labor of love - and for not stopping before the epilogue...it made me smile!

loving life,

Charle

So glad you are continuing with this story. I had almost given up hope - lol. I am a sucker for Brian vulnerable and needy - and this about face with Justin being able to offer what Brian gave him after the bashing is heart wrenching and enticing! I have no doubt that as Brian continues to make progress, the passion will build to a mindblowing completion! Please don't make us wait too long!

Author's Response:

LOL! I wouldn't blame anyone for giving up on this fic. It's been such slow going; I know the key moments in the story, but because of all the rigid timelines of treatment days, and symptom development and homework, it's hard to get to the moments that are most clear in my mind. :D

You're quite right about the buildup of the story --- the longer it is, the more heartwrenching, the more meaningful it will be... that's why I don't want to skip steps... Though I will keep them coming as quickly as I can.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Hi Charle,

I can't thank you enough for reading and reviewing.  I agree with you, I think our boys were/are in it for the long run.  I think that the family did a lot of harm to them both, though some meant well.  At least in this AU, I gave them a little more control of their lives, I hope it played well.

I really appreciate that you took the time to read and comment, sincerely.

All the best,

ok - so - I read this story again, and I do love the vows - and I really love this story - it may be one of my all time favorites - and I've been waiting for so long for the rest of it...

Maddie has a past with Brian...and Brian and Justin are planning to put the condoms aside...and that has to be written...and read...please don't leave us hanging any more with this one - give us the rest...and don't skimp on the wedding night scene - please!

BTW - the video at the end of chapter one may be my  all time favorite, or at least the top 5  - thanks for that as well

loving  life,

Charle

Author's Response: First I have to say that it is also one of my favorite videos as well, and I'm not just saying it because she made it to go with my story... Blushes... Reading your comment makes me realize how much I miss writing this story, I only stopped because of the challenge I joined for "Metamorphosis" I never thought it would get so long... he,he, he... I do love this story and maybe I'll spend today reading it again and continuing it, I have great plans for the boys and this won't be a short story either... Now don't skip on the wedding night scene... Have I ever skimped on the porn??? ha, ha, ha... So glad you're enjoying all my stories and thanks for all your support... Later Darling ~ Kathleen

Well, I like a little angst as much as you do, but Brian and Justin so in love, committed to each other, leaning on each other and trusting each other - well - there's just nothing better! Although, who knows what that little sketchbook of Justin's might bring to the picture. I have a guess as to what he might have up his sleeve. Can't wait to see what that little secret, as well as the continuing saga between Fin and Brian will unfold. This story has so much yet in the telling, and I for one could not be more thrilled.

Now, I notice that you have yet another new story started, so...I am on my way.

Charle

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle - I always look forward to your thoughtful reviews - thanks for taking the time to do that!  The other story is just a brief one-shot that was previously posted on fanfic.net - I know the readers would probably shoot me if I started yet another WIP - LOL!  I promise to go right to the next one in order now, which is Parent Trap.  Of course, that one is just beginning - I will be moving them forward eight years, though, while filling in some of the gaps in the past.  Thanks as always, my friend, for all the reviews and your insightful feedback!:)

You know, given the fact that this is a sequel. and to a rather lengthy original story, it is amazing to me that there is still so much story to be told here. In addition to the known plot, we also have the promise of these little hints we have been getting - surely a baby is on the way (hmmmm - another sequel?). The characters as written here have become new 'old friends' - so familiar from all this time spent with them, and yet enveloped within a storyline so different from Canon that we are getting to know them anew with each chapter, so different are they from the couple we last saw in 513.

still anxiously awaiting each new chapter - thanks for that

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle!  Thanks for the very insightful comments.:)  Yes, as I just mentioned in another review, I also see a lot to be written here (hope everyone doesn't get bored to death before I get done - LOL!)  There's a lot of hopes and dreams being bandied about in this story (hence the title) - Fin's campaign, Tony's wish to one day be married to him, Brian's business and his new position as campaign manager, his relationship with his father (will this draw them closer or push them farther apart?), Justin's wish to have another child with his husband, Stockwell, and Justin's father's possible involvement....whew!  I think that might be enough for a while.:)  Everything may not turn out the way everyone hopes, though...if it did, what good would THAT do? LOL! Thanks, my friend, for the comments and for reading!:)

wow - thanks for all the hard work - I love long chapters! Especially when they are as awesome as this one.

I am having a blast with Brian and Fin - I find this pairing especially interesting and hope we get to see more of the inner workings as they develop their relationship. Hate to think of introducing any more hardship to my beloved brunette, but I think it would be captivating to see Brian reach a point where he reached out and admitted that he needed his 'dad'.

And...I absolutely love the homeless boy angle - another brilliant way to get inside Brian's mind at the same time telling yet another fascinating story we haven't heard before. You never cease to amaze me!

Now we just have to hope that Brian won't be stretched too thin when Justin needs him to pick up the pieces once he learns of Craig's ultimate betrayal.

This story never gets old - I said so long ago that there is so much more to tell, and here we are many chapters later and that has not changed - there are so many facets to it - and I can't wait to see it all play out.

so glad you are back - you were missed!

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Aww....thanks, Charle, for the welcome back!  With so many authors posting such wonderful stories lately, mine got pushed down to the end of the page soond after I posted it - ack!  So I'm glad you found it and read the latest chapter.:)  Yes, there is a lot going on here; sometimes I feel like I'm writing a soap opera to replace all the ones being cancelled on the tube!  Hm....I just thought of another plot bunny - how about a QAF version of "Dallas" with Brian as JR and Justin as Bobby? - ha!

Okay, I digress....where was I?  Oh, yeah - the story.:)  Craig's duplcity will be discovered and it will hurt Justin all over again.  But I think that's part of this story - how Justin has learned to rely on his REAL family - Brian, Gus, his mother, and all his friends, and not just somewhere who he heppens to share his genes with.  And I do love not only comparing Justin and Tony and seeing them as friends, but I am enjoying writing about the burgeoning relationship between Fin and Brian.  So much to tell here!!  I am so glad that you are still following along with it, my friend.  And I thank you for the ongoing support.  I'm sending a big hug back your way.  ~Kim

knew it was coming and yet still wasn't truly prepared - poor Justin - how awful for him - so glad Brian is there to help him through this -

...and BTW - lol  - I agree with Jen - keeping things from Brian doesn't end well!

good chapter

Charle

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review, Charle.  I'm sure that Brian would just love to 'rip Craig a new one' after this, but something tells me that Justin would like that honor instead.  I definitely see a showdown coming up very soon.:)  And yes, I do think it would be best for Justin to just come clean, but I can also see why he might hesitate right now with everything else going on.  Thanks again for all the support, Charle, I appreciate that very much.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

brilliant - this take down of Craig is long overdue - and the hurt for Justin, not to mention Brian - well it breaks my heart - yet the love between them is still so poignant and breathtaking -

the little moment between Jsutin and Gus was especially endearing - and I bet will set the tone when the 'let's be dads' talk begins - Brian is learning so much about fatherhood from those on either side of his generation - and watching Justin love his son warms his heart more and more as he forges his relationship with his son...and his dad

great story telling - thanks Kim

Charle

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle!  Thank you for your kind words and for reading, Sweetheart.:)  You said that very well about how Brian is not only learning what it means to be a son but a father as well.  Poor Justin's father is worse, I think, than Jack Kinney was, and that's saying a lot!  Obviously there is still a lot more of this story to tell - so many angles; what was I thinking??? Ha!  I'm so glad you enjoyed this chapter.  I'm just sorry it took me so long to update it!  Thank you for all you support, Charle; that means the word to me!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I so wish I could even think about coming to the reunion - I would so love that - but there is no way I can break away for it - I really would have loved to be able to meet face to face and chat for a bit - but I will be counting on you to tell me all about it

looking forward to the next chapter here - I wonder if Fin will realize and react to Brian having called him his father - that could be a rather tender moment... and...of course, both couples are in desperate need of a little...coupling...wink wink.

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle!  I wish you could be at the con, too!  Elke's arranging a fan meet and greet for that Thursday, and I would have loved to have seen you there.   I hope one day we can meet.  In the meantime, rest assured I will be loaded with two or three cameras and my netbook just like Lois Lane when I get there - ha!

Thank you for reading this latest chapter and for the kind words, Charle; even after all these stories I've written, my rather fragile soul still needs the reassurance that my stories are still enjoyable.

I agree with you about the story; I think that's why I dispatched Stewart rather handily in this chapter.  I want to concentrate more on the human aspect of this story, and the two couples' deepening feelings toward each other and their bond to each other.  And, of course, there's the situation regarding Alex, as well as Justin's hope for a child, Tony's wish to be married to Fin, and the election itself. So going forward I will probably be devoting more time to that and not so much to all the political drama, although that will obviously have to be a part of it.

Thank you again for all the support, Charle!  And I'm still holding out hope that we can meet face-to-face one day.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

so glad to be able to visits with all the great characters in this story - and of course with our boys

while the election campaign gave great story - and of course got everyone where they need to be for the plot to move forward - we know its all about the love - and there are so many relationships to drive the next chapters that I truly can't wait until the results are in and we can look at each of them more closely...

Brian and Justin...of course...family planning...still learning more about each other as they grow...what's not to love? And if they do decide to have a baby...who will be the momma - and what part will she play in their lives?

Brian and Fin...their story is not done...they still have things to work through and feelings to share and memories to make...

Justin and Tony...other than Daphne - all of 'their' friends have been Brian's friends...I love that Justin's actions brought this man into their family...and it has been great to watch their friendship develop

Alex and...everyone! There are so many layers to this story - Justin seeing through her anger is just the beginning. And her relationship with Debbie will allow us to look at her through totally new eyes as well.

ok...I'll stop...lol...for now! rotfl - This story could go on for a long long time...and so I must stop myself from doing the same. ha ha

So looking forward to more...and congrats on the apparent win in the challenge - you deserve it!

Charle

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle - I am always so flattered by how much time and care you take with your comments; thank you sincerely for that, my friend.;)  And yes, there ARE a lot of layers to this story.  Just when I think I can wind it down with the election coming up, I realize how much more I want to cover here.  There IS a lot more to it after the election.  In a way, the election was never really the point of the story, athough it did serve a purpose.  I always thought the human aspect of the story - how each of the characters continue to evolve and grow, especially the four men - was really where the emphasis lay.

Even Fin and Tony will have a lot to discuss after this election is over, even though they have been together for so long.  In a way, his son is a lot more comfortable in his shell this his father is.

I will get the election coverage up soon before moving onto "Parent Trap." Thank you so much for all the support, Charle, and for the well wishes. I am very honored by that.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Date: January 07, 2014 Title: Chapter 39: Yearning

wow Kim=  you really have me all kerflummoxed with this chapter - my emotions are all over the place

let me clarify - this is probably the most heartwarming scene I have read here on MW - I am just a puddle - Brian opening up to her, her opening up to him, ending with him holding her...and then his line...'everything will be okay, it's all right now, no one's going to hurt you again' - so unexpected and poignant - I can see the look between Brian and Justin at the end in my mind's eye - and its overwhelming and sweet

then it occurs to me that this means that Justin does not get the chance to hold his own flesh and blood and the indescribable  joy that brings - and my heart hurts for him

then I go back to what a difference they will make for this little girl - and all they have to offer her - and how she and Justin will bond with the art - and how perfect this is - and how pieces of Brian that no one could touch can be healed because she knows - and he can offer the same to her

oh my friend -  when you write you make us feel right along with the characters - what a gift - I can't wait to read what you have in store for us next

Happy New Year - hope the coming months offer you all you could hope for

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Aww...Charle, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your comments.  It feels kind of lonely on here at times, and then someone such as yourself takes the time to comment in depth, and it makes me feel so much better.  (Not to minimize Marny's comments, of course, nor anyone else's).  I totally understand your dilemma, too, regarding Alex and a baby.  I think I have a solution that will work coming up, but I know some people won't like them fostering Alex.  Ultimately I felt, though, that this was the way to go.  If THEY can't provide the compassion and understanding to her, then who can?  I think as Debbie stated it's important that someone step up to the plate and help this girl, and I do think that Brian can understand how she might feel.  After all, he had a similiar experience growing up, and so did Justin to a lesser degree when he was older.  They should be able to understand that she is not as tough as she appears.

The next chapter is actually going to move them forward in time, and I think will wrap up some loose ends.  Not sure if it will be the last chapter - knowing my wordiness, probably not! - but it's heading toward a conclusion now. Thank you again for your very heartfelt comments and for all the support you give me; it means more to me than you probably know.  I wish nothing but the best for you in the coming year, too, my friend.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle! You're so sweet; thank you for your kind words, my friend.;)  Yes, with my father's passing, helping three authors to  beta, and some other RL issues, it has been hard to keep writing. I feel awful about how long I have to go in between updates. But at least I just have the two WIPs going, so that helps.  I actually have quite a bit of "Stallion" already written, so that will help, too, and the next part to this is almost finished.

I'm glad someone hasn't forgotten me.;)  It's exciting to see so many new stories on here, though! I still have quite a bit to tell about this story, so I hope readers will bear with me while I continue to work on it. My two WIPs WILL be finished, just like all the others before them.;)  Thanks for all the support, Charle! I appreciate that so much, dear.;)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Wow! - Talk about a cliff hanger! I am kind of glad that I read through some of the other reviews right after reading this chapter. Knowing that Gus will not be harmed at all let's me know that Brian is about to become  more open minded about Justin's abilities. Of course, with his own son as the one in danger, we all know that he will move heaven and earth - and do whatever it takes to keep him safe. Brian in his protective mode, open and vulnerable, is probably when he is his sexiest - even though the passion and heat will obviously need to wait until after the crisis is over, much like in TLC. Please don't keep us waiting - things are about to get really edge-of-our-seats riveting - my heart is pounding!

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and for leaving your thought-provoking comments!:)  I may go ahead and update this one before the others - I normally keep them all in the same order, but I may make an exception here due to the circumstances.:)  I agree with you about Brian - for someone who appeared to be so one-sided on the outside, he was anything but when you got to see how complex he actually was, especially when those he cared about the most were involved.  Thanks for reading - I promise to get this updated ASAP.

Oh, my goodness! I am sitting here reading this, literally on the edge of my seat, and my family is hysterical. They are used to me yelling at the TV and getting emotionally involved when something is this exciting, but rarely do I have this reaction when reading on the compy. I was jumping, clapping my hands on the desk, and nervously calling out to Brian and Justin as they approached the farmhouse, and then Brian as he entered in.

Outstanding writing! (we expected nothing less)

So, now that my heart is pounding, my pulse is racing, and my blood pressure is up - how long do we have to wait until there is something much more 'life affirming' to read to elicit these strange symptoms I am having! lol

I know the other stories come first, and truth be told I am almost as anxiously awaiting the next installment of those as well. Hurray for summer breaks for teachers. It couldn't have come at a better time.

Updates on all soon, right?

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle!  You're very kind - thank you for the lengthy feedback - it's great!  I had to laugh when you mentioned your family's reaction to the story.:)  I'm glad I had that effect on you - it's very flattering but I imagine you were getting some strange looks from your family all the same.:)  Not to fear - as I mentioned in a couple of review comments previously, as soon as Brian knows his son is going to be okay, he can start expressing his 'appreciation' the Brian Kinney way (yum....)!  And I will definitely be updating all the stories regularly as usual; it should actually be a little faster, too!  I'm even taking a netbook with me in July when I see Randy in Tommy so I can keep writing at night during the week (I know, I'm crazy, but I'm also hoping for  a photo or two to download...).  Thanks so much for your continuing readership and support of my story!  And now I believe it's onto some "Tender Loving Care."  Thanks again, my friend.:)

Hi, Charle - thanks for plowing through that humongous chapter - LOL!  It just grew and grew to be a monster....:)  Yes, I see all sorts of interesting things happening in the next chapter - some cuteness with Gus at the ballgame while they 'bond' (can anyone say "play ball?" - ha!), some comforting on Brian's part over Justin's anxiety about having to testify, as well as some suspicion regarding the police's diligence - or lack thereof - in investigating the killer more thoroughly until a cop's son was involved, and quite possibly a kiss or two thrown in during the next chapter - hmmm.....All sorts of thoughts swirling around in my head here...And there's the matter of what to do with Carothers - the killer you feel sorry for but can't condone.  Not sure yet what I'll do with him, but I'm leaning toward one option right now that I won't divulge yet.....Thanks so much for leaving me your thoughts, my friend.  And now I'm off to a little "TLC!":)

ummm - I think I may need a  cold shower before making dinner - that was sooo worth the wait - and I have a feeling  there is more to come...do we get to experience rimming for the very first time with Justin - that will be incredible - and hot!!!

I usually have a hard time separating our boys from AU characters - 'cause I know and love them so well, and they will always be my boys. But here I am seeing them as totally new friends, the cop and the psychic, a whole new Brian and a whole new Justin, which makes it even more amazing to experience their first time like this.

thanks for this update - loved it and as always, I am anxiously waiting for more...greedy...aren't I?

lovinglife,

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle!  You can be greedy any time, as long as I get such a thought-provoking, positive review as yours!  Thanks as always for reading and for the encouraging words.:)  To be honest, speaking of 'greedy,' I was kind of hoping for a few more reviews after Bob's post, but (sigh)....not to be I suppose.  But I DO appreciate everyone who has read and especially reviewed up until now and as always I will work on this steadfastedly until I get this one - and all my other stories - completed.  It's weird - sometimes it seems like the authors who take months to post the next part of their story get more reviews than the ones who work so diligently at posting regularly (?)....So maybe I'm going about this wrong - ha!  BTW, I'm toying with a short story right now.  I've written about 1,700 words of it but I'm not ready to post it just yet. I may wait until it's finished before I do, since I see it as a rather short one (yes, I CAN do that on rare occasions - LOL!).

Thanks again, my friend, for taking the time to leave me your thoughts - that is very motivating for me.:)  Oh and one more thing...I think I can maybe squeeze in a rimming scene in the next chapter, along with a few 'other' moments (wink, wink)....!

this chapter is sweet, and passionate, and I love the way they are together - so much in love - its addicting - so keep it coming - you write it so well

I have to tell you I was more than a little sad that we didn't get the vows or the feelings for both of them as Brian walked down the aisle/ It is so much different hearing about it aafter the fact than it is being part of it as we read and are made to feel we are right there with them

I have a feeling that some of the dynamics might be changing with the baby coming soon - and I sure hope these nightmares are discomforts of Justin's don't do anything to affect the closeness these two have worked so hard and long for

looking forward as this story continues - thanks for writing

Hmmm. I am not usually a fan of stories based on existing movies, they can go so wrong. And I am so anxiously waiting for some of your other writings to reach the next level - each so different - yet each intriguing.and each leaving me on the edge of my seat waiting for more. I know you always have a few going at a time, but I sure hope that adding another story again does not mean more time between each new chapter for the stories I've already gotten hooked on.

That said, I can look down the road and see where this story might go - and knowing the movie storyline, anticipate some really fun moments along the way - along with the possibility of the kind of passion only our boys can bring, I am so excited. This story has so much potential - and now you've got me hooked again you rascal.

I have to admit though, that I am most intrigued here by the fact that, in your flashback, both men seem to be reluctant to part. While that increases the promise of what may be to come, it makes it harder t explain why they would break up a family rather than persevere. Can't wait to see how you explain that.

Always enjoy your work - thanks for all your work. It is appreciated.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for the thought-provoking and insightful comments.  If it's any consolation, I think I am seeing the eventual end of "Tender Loving Care," so that should free up more writing time. AND I am about to have 2 1/2 months off since I teach during the year, so that should help considerably.:)  I will explain later how they came to a parting of the ways here, but you are correct; my stories always end up with the two together so you can figure out pretty readily where it will wind up eventually.  However, that being said, they will need to do some maneuvering to get to that point.  And if you know the movie, you also know there's that sticky little problem of a fiance hanging around.  I could make one up for Brian, but I so adore making the lad jealous, so in all likelihood it will be a beau for Justin.  And you know the girls will be doing everything in their power to get their two dads together, including causing some mischief for the poor fiance.  I think I will be having fun with this one - ha!  Hope you'll stay tuned.  And I promise to keep updating regularly - don't worry; I'm very conscientious about that.  Thanks for having faith in me - and for reading my stories.  I am very honored as well as grateful.:P)

Ok, I am really excited to get to camp! This is just too much fun. And I love that I was right from the beginning, and Jen is the catalyst that will bring them back together.

As for the break-up...Brian Kinney in his usual vain quest for reaffirmation makes me almost as angry as Justin once more walking away rather than sticking around to fight for his man. Sure Brian bringing up Ethan wasn't nice, but just the fact that Justin had betrayed Brian with the fiddler in the first place should have made him more willing to forgive Brian's indescretion.

I will be anxiously waiting for more...if I remember correctly, the original story has an evil fiance - don't know who is going to have moved on - but you know I'm going to hate him...right?

great writing as always Kimberly - thanks for keeping the updates coming so regularly - it is always a joy to read

Charle

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle!  Thanks for the feedback!  Yes, there will be an evil fiance - I'm leaning toward Justin but haven't quite made up my mind yet.:)  And just a hint - they will NOT meet at the camp - the girls have to have too much fun conniving to get them together and I can't pass that up.:)

love the chapter - don't like Alex one bit (but then I'm not supposed to, am I?)

the interaction between each daughter and the father who raised her is so sweet - and I couldn't be more thrilled that they are still so in love after all these years - it will just make for the most amazing reunion...these two couldn't keep their hands off each other for more than a few hours, so after all these years - it will just explode (in more ways than one!)

I'm guessing that in the next chapter, that charcoal drawing will reveal the truth to very shocked and uncertain girls - as they try to fill in the pieces of the puzzle - this is going to be so much fun!!!!!

I am loving this story!

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Now, Charle, we don't even know poor Alex yet - LOL!  But not to worry, he's not going down without a fight but he'll be no match for the entire Kinney-Taylor clan, especially the twins!  You're right - the drawing will definitely play a part in the girls meeting each other at camp, which should be in the next chapter.  Thanks so much as always for the review, my friend!:)

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle...thank you for reading and reviewing.  Rest assured I would never abandon any story - never have, never will; I'm trying to update as quickly as possible, but I just started teaching again about a week ago and have triple the students, so that will slow me down somewhat.  I HAVE reduced the number of WIPs I have going right now to four, so that will help speed it up a little.  I may try to reduce the number of words somewhat in each chapter, too  (from 10,000+ to maybe half that) in hopes of possibly updating each one faster.  I'm glad you like this story - it's getting, shall we say, mixed reviews at the moment (sigh), so I am very grateful for your support.  And yes, Paper Hearts is up next - I will be starting on that one either tonight or tomorrow; I see a doubleheader coming up for the boys as promised.:)  Thank you so much for your kindness, Charle, I am very appreciative.:)

how fun, this chapter really is a clever way to get the girls sent to the 'wrong' dad, and my only disappointment is that we don't get to see that little brat get what's coming to her -

I am of course looking forward most of all to the dad's reunion, although I know it is a while off - and it will be very interesting to 'watch' each of the girls get to know her other parent

sure have missed your story updates, it was great to see this one posted

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Aw...thanks, Charle, you're always so sweet.:)  (Sigh...) I know - my teaching job is really slowing me down my regular writing a little more - have three times as many students this year, and it seems like all I do is grade papers!  It's an adult full-time class, but you would think the women were two-year-olds with their constant dramas every day - ack!!  Anyway, rest assured I'm still writing - it's about the only thing that keeps me sane right now!

I may actually go ahead and write the next chapter of this to at least get the girls switched with the fathers, since I know that's part of what everyone is waiting for.  Thanks again for all the kind words. *Hug* to you.:)

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle, my friend!  Thanks for reading and commenting.  Someone else pointed out, too, that it will be interesting to see whether Debbie can keep her emotions under control when she sees Kaylee  again for the first time in so long; can she keep herself in check enough not to give the game away to Brian?  Hmmm.... And just which father will figure it out first?  I know but I'm not saying - Pffftt!!  LOL!  I'm going to enjoy stretching this out just a bit as the boys continue to grow suspicious as to what exactly is going on.  I hope you'll continue to follow along.  Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, Charle - I really appreciate that!:)

Well, I am not surprised, but I love absolutely everything about this chapter. The descriptions are like snapshots of everything that is happening, and the emotions for all four of them show clearly. I have been anxiously waiting for a new chapter here for days now, and this one certainly did not disappoint! I think by the time these two find their way back to each other I will be just a blubbering pool of tears, so strong is the anticipation! I don't know how I will bear the wait, but I have a feeling that wait is exactly what I will have to do - as it seems more there may be alot more to tell before we reach that point.

Excellent writing - thank you so much for this story.

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Aww...thanks, Charle!  I always love to hear your thoughts.:)  I'm glad you liked this extremely long chapter!  It was long even by MY typical standards.:)  I don't think the girls realized just how difficult it might be to impersonate each other.  Despite being twins, they still have some differences that will eventually be their undoing.  As you mentioned, though, as much as I would LOVE to just move straight to the boys' reunion with each other, it's going to take me a little more time before I get there.  I want to show Kaylee's reactions, for example, to Emmett and Debbie among the 'gang,' as well as Katie's battle against Alex.  She is going to continue to make it very hard for the man to make any headway regarding his plan to get Justin to marry him.

Rest assured, though, that I will do my best to make the boys' reunion an explosive one eventually (in more ways than one!).  Thanks again for the comments, Charle.:)

Perfect! Watching the two girls get (re)-acquainted with their dads and learn more about them and each other - what a hoot - yet so very sweet at the same time! This chapter gave us everything we could want...and then some! I couldn't be more thrilled that Alex is gone - out of the picture more quickly than I expected, but then I always love when you send us  little surprises, especially lovely ones like this! Now, there is nothing but time and distance - and of course the pesky issue of a broken promise and potentially stubborn men short on trust - to keep these soul mates from a reunification to beat all! Please don't make us wait too long - you are the master at cliffhangers!

I am drooling over what will come next, with Brian and Kaylee now able to truly reunite - I feel a need for tissues coming in the next chapter.

I also want to thank you for your encouragement and support. I have recently returned to work on my last unfinished story, after renewed but unexpected interest and reviews - imagine that! It is because I know first hand how vital responses from others can be in keeping me motivated and inspired that I do my best to respond to any chapter/story that moves or touches me in any way! For me, it's what feeds the muse - and I can only guess that this is true for others who put so much of themselves into their work and need to know that it is not in vain.

...any chance we can get more of this story...out of rotation? I really can't wait! (you know I am so bad at that delayed gratification stuff - some things never change - lol) - although there is unfinished business that I am anxious to read about elsewhere as well...such anticipation!

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle - How can I express what YOUR support means to me, too?  You are absolutely correct; I LIVE for positive reinforcement and yes, I am crushed when I get just the opposite.  Perhaps those with tender, easily bruised hearts shouldn't be writers, then.  But I like to think that maybe it translates into a little more emotion in my stories.  Some may not like my style of writing, but it is what it is....

I try hard and I think I do a good job of responding to every review I get, and not just with a 'cookie cutter' response, although I don't begrudge any that DO; I know only too well how time-consuming writing as well as responding to reviews can be.  I have noticed you are so exceptional about always taking the time to provide a thoughtful review not only to me but to others; I can't speak for them, but as for me that means more than you will ever realize, my friend.

As for changing up the story rotation, it's hard to do (sigh) because there are (hopefully at least!) other readers who are anxious for updates on the other stories.  Recently the only exception I've been making is to the two shorter stories I have going right now ("Hunka" and "Framed"), since finishing up those two will free me to catch up quicker on the longer ones such as this one.

But it wouldn't be the FIRST time I went against the norm.:)  If I got enough readers to twist my arm, I might just be convinced to at least write the next chapter where the boys finally see each other again after so long.  It might make up for the less-than-glowing response I received for this chapter as well...

Thank you, Charle, for being such a devoted supporter of my stories and for going the extra mile to write such thoughtful reviews.  You are very kind.:)~Kimberly

ok - so as much as I really really  want to 'Debbie slap' Justin right up side his head and say 'just get over it...will you? - Brian being Brian is his own worst enemy as usual...and in true BJ style is keeping himelf from getting the one thing he wants...no needs...more than anything else in the world - all because he is not willing to step back and give Justin the one thing he needs at this moment to move on...validation

now that Brian is finally open and willing to ponder and address the real issue at hand, and get past his signature "I'll do anything for love...but I won't do that' walls, excuses and avoidance tactics - I'm guessing it won't be long before he is able to regain Justin's trust...and his hot little bubble butt won't be far behind...

in fact, knowing our boys as we do...would we be surprised if the boys give in to their passion long before all the emotional baggage is resolved completely?

chin up girls...you're hot daddy twosome is about to turn your little frowns upside down...in a most life affirming way!

so happy for this update Kim - great writing as usual

Charle

Author's Response:

Hi, Charle - thank you as always for reading and taking the time to review, dear friend; I really appreciate that.:)  I think a lot of people are getting impatient over Justin's stubbornness; if it's any consolation, I see that changing pretty soon, especially once some other elements come into play in the story.  It IS amazing how pride and hurt can factor into decisions we make and how it can fester for so long.

I think we all know eventually that their passion will not be able to be contained (wink, wink), but I may just surprise you and let them sort through their issues first before we get to that point.  Thanks again for all your support, Charle - I'll be updating this one again very soon.:)  *Hugs* ~Kim

P.S.  Your comment about the 'Debbie slap' reminded me of a moment at the con on Sunday (the closing day) when the actors were up on the stage for photo shoots with fans.  At one point Sharon Gless and Hal Sparks were up there and she gave him this fake slap just like in the show - it was HILARIOUS!

I am really anxious for the next part - you know I can't wait to see how Brian will explain his faux pas - I have no doubt that is the only obstacle to Justin putting it all on the line one more time - the lve between them is not in doubt

I can't wait to 'hear' the conversation between Michael and Brian -  with all they've been through - together and apart - those two will definitely have a unique perspective - one that will hopefully cause Brian to stop and really look at things

then...the reunion - hot!

and the girls finding out and reacting - fun!

and the gang - oh my, what a hoot!

I am loving this story - that is to say...I hate when our boys are apart, and I really hate when Lindsey manipulates Brian - it really makes me bristle - but your writing is enthralling, and always leaves me wanting more. I also love that it is updated so regularly - I read so very many stories at one time that it is difficult to keep the storyline in mind for stories that are updated infrequently.

Can't wait for the next chapter...

loving life,

Charle

I really like Boot. It's often hard to accept a new character in such an established circle of friends - but once in a while a new friend really clicks with me, and this is one of those times. Plus, I have a feeling that this guy is going to help to bring Justin's unfortunate coke behavior to am much needed close! And I love the tie-in to Daphne. Well done!

uh-oh - that's not good - except maybe it will serve as the catalyst for Brian to come to the rescue - sure hope Justin is not hurt too badly - but just enough maybe to stop his free fall!

very interesting story - anxious for more

Even though Justin is hurt in this story, like Brian, I am just so relieved that nothing is life threatening. I am also thrilled that my boys are together, an Brian is realizing what he's done. Now, to see how Justin will react. With his history of cliff pushing with Brian, he probably won't have any trouble believing that's what happened, but forgiving might be a bit harder this time...we'll see.

I really loved this chapter, I could actually feel Brian's emotions - excellent!

love it - everything I've always wanted someone to say to Lindsey - all here in one read! while some of it is driven only by this particular story - there is so much that hits the mark with her actions on the show - I could not be more thrilled that Brian finally sees her for who she is!

can't wait to see what comes next - it's great seeing Brian and Mel working together for Gus' best interest!

Charle

Summary:

(In this story of a different era the (1970’s), Brian and Justin are in the closet.  Brian’s the ambitious and hotshot Governor of Pennsylvania, with intentions of running for President; while Justin’s a renowned Movie Star struggling to make the transition from Child-Star into adult roles.   And, Brian’s (teenage) son, Gus Kinney, has some serious relationship problems of his own.

This story is about people in-love and the difficult time they have coping in a world that has little tolerance for their type of love.

Note:

In this story a straight couple is used as a sub-plot to help better define Brian and Justin’s relationship.  To spell it out:  Brian and his straight-son, Gus, are so much alike; only major difference is that Gus flows freely with his emotions, whereas Brian consistently attempts to suppress his.  So, Gus’s relationship is used as a catalyst that would eventually persuade Brian to embrace his love for Justin.

Warning:  Lots of Condom Free Sex (however, was appropriate for the times)

Adorable! This one is so cute! I have to admit, though, that at times like this, Justin has so much more patience than I have ever had, or ever will, for that matter. I think Brian may have found himself with cranberry relish dripping over his head, much like the water he poured the first time he brought Justin home. lol - He really does just accept Brian as he is, doesn't he?

Author's Response:

Ha!  Good thing you weren't around to instill some discipline in the boy instead of Justin - good idea about the relish, although I suspect Brian would have found some kinky way to use it later - LOL!  He DID come in handy with the turkey, though, at least temporarily!  Thanks so much for reading and especially reviewing - I really appreciate that my friend!:P

Nicely done. Very well written, and quite a unigue perspective. I can't wait to find out more. - - - and...I never thought anything could make me think less of Craig! How can be so calloused towards his son at a time like this...but even more - how can you not have feelings for a child - any child - but especially your grandson. Yes, I think Craig has hit a new all time low.

looking forward to the next chapter

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Thank you! It's definitely a unique perspective for me, because I usually despise writing in first person. With vehemence. But this story just kind of demanded it.

Craig... does not like things that don't fit in his vision of ideal household. He's been pissed about the Luke situation from the start (as we learn in this chapter), and while he doesn't hate the child, he hates what he stands for. He's also, in his own way, putting the wellbeing of Luke first, because in his mind children should of course be raised by two loving parents who are of proper age.

Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to leave a review. I'll be posting chapters every Wednesday, so keep an eye out for a new one around that time!

Reviewer: 4depthoflove Signed

I am really enjoying this story, and am anxious to see what happens when the gang finds out about Luke. Justin has to know that it's not good for the baby to keep him cooped up in one room - and that will hopefully be what brings them out.

I am so glad that he got some time with Brian, especially after the school scene. I can't for the life of me understand why a thoroughly horny guy would give a hand job to the man of his dreams, knowing there was no chance for payback. That could only leave him hornier than ever.

Hope he gets away from the parents soon - neither of them has been loving, supportive or compassionate. I would expect that from craig, but Jen's detached coolness is  a surprise.

Can't wait to see what next week's installment brings

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Justin does know it's not good for Luke to be cooped up all the time. If I could group the first couple of chapters of this story and give them a name, it would definitely be "Something's Gotta Give", because it's evident from chapter one that this is not a stable situation. What happens when something "gives", though, remains to be seen. As for Jennifer--I promise we'll get a bit of rationalizing from Justin later on about why she's so detached.

Also, I think that Justin gave Brian that handjob because (a) he knew that it would keep Brian interested in him and (b) he wanted to express some kind of relief/happiness that Brian had come looking for him, but knew that Brian wouldn't like to hear it in words. Not that Justin consciously thought all that, mind you, but... Those would be his motives.

Next week's installment brings... a tightening of the noose. You'll see. *g*

Thanks for reviewing! It was a lovely, thoughtful review--my favorite kind!

absolutely love this story - and although I certainly understand how RL get in the ay, I hope it's nor really months until we see them again - especially at this point they have reached - I am a sucker for head over heels in love and ridiculously romantic Brian - nothing is hotter - and his new 'let Justin take charge' attitude is just delicious! There is so much that can be explored here - how about once they have established that they want only each other - forever - Justin sweeps him off for a wedding of his dreams - Ibitha or The White Party or something else totally hot - but still they only want each other - awesome vows f rom the heart - lots of heat when they are alone later...and that's just while they are away - then there are tons of possibilities after they get home --- anxiously waiting...

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for the wonderful and lengthy review (as reviews are concerned)... it always makes me deliriously happy! I love reviews. I love a ridiculously romantic Brian and take charge Justin, too. Although I think possessive, jealous Brian is pretty friggin' hot as well, but I knew Brian had it in him where his blond is concerned. I've written weddings before and I usually don't write any vows (cause it takes a while and my muse wants to skip the ceremony and head to the wedding night - :) )... however with this one, maybe I will... and I have to say, I like your thinking with a wedding in Ibiza or White Party... a few other things come to mind... oh the possibilities! ;) Thanks again for the support and the ideas. Cheers, Laura :) xoxo

RUNNING by Nightvision55 Rated: NC-18 [Reviews - 222]
Summary: Feature

This story started off as a ‘what if’ ... what if Brian hadn’t met Justin until sometime in Season Three?  Which things would be different and which would be the same ... or brought about in a different way?  How would Brian be different?  Would he be better, or would he be worse?  Would he still react to Justin in the same way if they were both a couple of years older?

Anyway, that was how it started; but then I had to supply a background for Justin that was canon to begin with, but ended up being quite different ... and then the whole thing turned into a kind of thriller.  Well, I hope it did.

So I guess this is part what-if, part AU, part thriller ... but most of all, of course, a love story.

There was just enough of the sarcastic wit to make Brian Kinney and the walls around his heart recognizable and familiar, with glimpses of warmth and affection that just have to make 'ya smile! Sitting on the sofa with Justin, watching a movie and laughing heartily - now that's hot! There is very little quite as sexy as Brian allowing life to bring him joy - whatever form it comes in. Can't tell you  how much I am loving this story. The bits and pieces of canon that you hint at, all the while telling a new and completely unique story, full of intrigue and anticipation make this a must read! This story would be comletely enthalling for those who might not be familiar with all the details of the show (ig there are any of those around - lol - what an aswful thought) - but for all who know and love the boys and their story...well...I can't wait for the next installment!

Looks like we might be finding out more of the clues soon, as well as fun with Brian and Hunter (that little hustler was always looking to find a way into the jeep - lol) - and possibly a reunion with Mikey as a result.

Can't wait until Brian and Justin come face to face once again - there is bound to be sparks flying in more ways than one!

I am still loving this story. It has so many facets to it, both canon - and original - and I am just as anxious to see what happens next as I was at the beginning, a feat that only the best written long stories can claim for me. Well done - thanks for this story.

Absolutely loved this chapter! First of all, Brian going soft in the backroom is priceless, especially when it is because of it he comes to realize and acknowledge how much he misses Justin. I love that while he stays in character, with all his insecurities, fears and emotional walls, he goes to Justin, and lays his feelings out, leaving himself open and vulnerable. For me, Brian learning how to love, and let himself be loved is what makes this show irrestible. In this chapter, there is passion and fun amongst the sadness and grief, and it was all nicely written and thoroughly enjoyable to read. - thanks - This story has left me anxious for the next chapter since the beginning, and after more than 40 chapters, I find that has not diminished at all. Keep it coming!

Charle

How fascinating! I love that we are getting a look down the road 15 years, like old friends we never lost contact with. I love that BJ is gay, the dads have so much to offer him and yet so much to be surprised by when these two react differently than they would have (or did). And I love that his initials are our two boys together. - Looking forward to more of this story!

I love this story so much that I just read chapters 1 through 9 in one sitting. What a lovely way to spend a day off!

Sure love Brian in love - you portray this couple so sweetly that it satifies  my craving for deep heartlfelt love between these two. The surprise twist of a twin is a wonderful surprise - and of course how could Daphne not fall in love with him...

Also, I love when Emmett - the most underrated character on the show - gets love and happiness, he deserves it - he is always a loyal and trustworthy friend.

Then - Mikey and Ethan - nice to see them both get what they deserve - not a fan of either character.

Also love that they are all together under one roof - and I'm ure Daphne won't be far behind...

this story has every element to pull these characters together and keep them contentedly living life far into the future

thanks so much fo writing - will go back and find some of your older works when I have a chance

Author's Response:

Charle:  Thanks for the wonderful comment.  I loved writing this story because I wanted Brian and Justin with a special kind of love.  I aggree with you that Emmett was unrrated in the show.  I lvoed his episodes with George and their special love.  That's what I wanted here.  How can you not have a family under one roof.

I also couldn't leave a cliffhanger.  So that is why I posted the two chapters.  It won't be long before this ends.

Thanks again.

wow - this sure caught me by surprise - and I am still wiping the tears away as I contemplate the possibilities - did Justin really deceive Brian and has known he is the father all along...maybe he just let her list him as the baby-daddy...what will this all mean for our boys...?

Can't really say I am 'looking forward to more' - since I have no doubt that there will be more heartache and tears to come...but I am thoroughly intrigued to see where this story leads us!

Well, the last line kind of made me chuckle, and took the edge off of my anger at Brian - at least a little. Good for you, Justin, to throw it back at him - what now - huh?

Brian can afford Britin, and their lifestyle, and everything he has given the girls, and Justin and Mikey and Deb - he could afford a nanny - full time/round the clock - the baby would hardly be such a big adjustment for him or his precious freedom. So, now let him think of an alternative that isn't going to make him lose Justin anyway - because it is so hard on him.

I really loved this chapter  - the characters stayed so true to themselves, and I am absolutely thrilled that Justin chose Brian in this way - so that Brian can trust that he comes first in Justin's life.

can't wait to see where you go next with this - thanks

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Being first in Justin's life is very improtant to Brian. He was really doubting it for a while there. Also, Justin showing some spirit can never be a bad thing.

Thank you.

Reviewer: 4depthoflove Signed

well - this chapter is delightfully clever - not only the way Justin kept Brian from being able to leave, but now we have Brian backed up against a wall, emotions (that he has never truly been in tune with) completely out of control, and the result is the one situation for Brian where he could hurt Justin and not care (or at least not be able to stop himself) - I have a feeling we may be about to see some old fashioned Brian 'fucking' Kinney - hmmmm - what comes next, and how do our boys find their way back to each other?  - good job! - thanks

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Delightfully clever? Thank you. That made me glow with pride. Let's see what Brian does next. He did try to warn Justin that it's not going to work.

so...I started off really wanting to hate this story - there can be no one for Justin but Brian - but then I read...and the concept is titillating

how about Justin mentions to Brian that they met (Justin and Nicholas), and that nothing has happened but he can't promise that it won't

Brian stews over it - pretending of course that he dooesn't care - and then books a flight for NY to see for himself if he still has a chance with Justin

they all end up in bed together - Brian is totally jealous, but of course can't show it

after that   - who knows - they end up all three together for awhile, until Brian can't take it any more...and Justin has to choose

more angst - more angst - Brian is hurt - Nicholas seems to have won - but

the boys can never be kept apart forever

loving life

Author's Response:

Hey Charle... first of all thanks for the detailed review, and second, thanks for the suggestions for the story line. I love it when readers have an idea where a story should go (I've thought that a few times about other stories and would have loved to be able to voice my opinion on plot). My muse was kind of going in the direction of something between Justin and Nicholas... and of course jealous Brian... cause who doesn't love a jealous/possessive Brian? :) Not sure how long that will last or how much angst there will be, but I like your ideas and, especially (of course, no surprise here) a revisit to the hot threesome they make. :)

As with all my stories, Brian and Justin will always be together, and I believe in happy endings! When life gives me the time to write I will definitely keep your suggestions in mind. In fact I was inspired by a song for a new story... but now that I think about it, it would work perfectly in this story... it would totally fit possible angst and jealous Brian... and also be hot and steamy at the same time.

Anyway, thanks again for the review and suggestions, and I will be finishing this story as soon as I get enough time.

Cheers, Laura :)
