Date: June 06, 2010 Title: Chapter 1: A Gamble on Love A Gamble on Love, That was a slam dunk really. Sometimes Justin is quite dense Brian shows his love by actions he does not need to spend all that money to get Justin into bed. Well at least our boys got there in the end :) Author's Response: I think part of Justin's problem was that he was so young in the beginning and the young have a tendency to not see the forest for the trees. He was looking for open declarations of love and Brian was uncomfortable with that. Brian is a man of action. For him, his actions should have been all the proof that Justin would need of how deep his feelings were. Thank heavens Justin matured enough before it was too late and could clearly see how real Brian's feelings were for him. As for this story, it was actually meant more in fun than as a serious gamble. Date: September 24, 2010 Title: Chapter 1: Sins of the Father OMG I can see that being a major wall builder for Brian to hide behind. His inner most fear is that he would become Jack and for a moment in time Brian the boy took back some control and unfortunatly Justin happened to be in the line of fire. The boys love for each other is so strong that Brian would give up his life in New York even though he has invested time and money being there to protect Justin from what he believes as the ressurrection of Jack. Justin just as easily just willingly drops everything and in hot persuit high tails after Brian. Lovely fic thanks again Grammy Author's Response: One of the things I noticed about Brian from the show was that he seemed to avoid physical violence. That time he hit Michael, you could clearly see the shock on his face after he had done it and it was obvious he regretted it, even though Mikey really did deserve it for what he said. The only time he got physical and didn't feel any guilt was when he struck Hobbs in the leg, and even then he didn't go for the man's head like a truly violent person would....nor did he hit him more than once, which no one could have faulted him for. I always felt it was because he feared that he would be too much like his father if he got physical. I think Brian was beaten a lot as a kid when the old man got drunk. I wanted to show that side of Brian, and then show how much Justin cared about Brian's well-being (as if there was ever any doubt). I loved when he pushed Brian down and then ran to help him. It was the one time that he was able to prove he was the stronger man...in more ways than one. First of all, please let me apologize for the long delay in getting this story started. I encountered computer problems over a week ago and then was hit by health problems that have kept me from working on my writing for over a week. He keeps treating him like the adult he is, Justin has let him know that before Brian he was virtually a walking empty shell. He did what ever his mum told him and he worked at being all things to everyone I'm happy (and relieved) you are enjoying how Brian is with Justin. You couldn't be more right about Justin. In canon, just being around Brian helped Justin figure out who he was...gave him the encouragement and space he needed. This Justin never had that.

Not what the hell lol That reaction (Brian's) was definitely non-standard :-) All I can say (other than Brian is strange) is that Brian assumed the guy deserved it. Why else would someone like Justin lose his s**t on the guy? Justin's all decent and good, not generally prone to violence.

When Debbie and Carl have their first real date In QAF Episode 214, Carl showed Debbie pictures of his daughter, Vicki, who lives in Salt Lake City, and his son, Carl Jr., who was in the Air Force. I kept waiting for an episode where Carl’s family would actually appear. It never happened, so here’s my version of what happened when Carl’s adult children and their families come to Pittsburgh to meet Debbie and the gang. This is the first Christmas after Brian and Justin legalized their relationship, and they are now living in New York City. Ben and Michael are estranged…with Ben and Hunter living in an apartment, and Michael living alone in the house. This story was intended to be a standalone story, but I guess it would fit in the Talisman Series. This is just a little holiday fluff, but it takes me a while to tell a simple story, so I will update frequently. Date: August 15, 2010 Title: Chapter 40: Chapter 40 Oh wow another block buster chapter. I wonder will Brian ever believe he is truely loved and that he is entitiled to it. The beach scene was beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. Brian thinking there is no forever and looking at Gus and wanting it so badly. Jack did such a horrific job on Brian that I can see how that deep core damage would overide and colour Brian's outlook and persception on life. Brian fights all the time against the feelings of dissappointmentof the "other shoe dropping". Woohoo Cynthia again she provided for Brian what he needed before he knew he needed it, Liam Quinn another gun in Brian's arsenel of defense. He looks like he may shake things up a bit and in his own way give Brian some tools to fight back with. Justin got to love the brat! a brillant mix of stength and determination and jealousy and pouty moods just what Brian needs to keep him on his toes. Gus if only he knew how powerful he is he holds Brian's heart so tight, and don't think I did not let out a whoop of delight when you gave us the mini glimpse into the future lol thank you. The ending of the chapter leaves me still with qualms of fear that Ted has feelings of resentment and may not be finished or being manipulated. Mel is such a freak show but we must keep her on Brian's radar because she is such a lose canon. All the characters are so real and the story just weaving along so many different twists and turns. Date: January 05, 2010 Title: Chapter 18: Chapter 18: here comes the sun I love this story it is always such a shock for parents when a child has a diagnosis. Unfortunatley I have seen the same reaction as Craig and Susan's Author's Response: Same. It's a sad reaction to see, but it does happen. Thankfully, in this story, this child has an older brother who not only accepts him and the diagnosis, but wants to support him, be there for him, and just enjoy him like a brother should.

Date: March 06, 2011 Title: Chapter 72: FINAL CHAPTER (improved) I really enjoyed this story It gave me a small insight into the difficulties of parenting of children with special needs. I loved the way Brian just went with calmness when Justin was stressed. This is the way most parents handle child rearing when it is too much for one the other one picks up the slack. I am saddened at the abrupt end but I understand why and your explaination. I thought it made sense "that's life" statement after all Kai is not going to suddenly change his milestone goals. I also liked the commentary that money talks and folk who can pay are privialaged with access to private services and those children may reach goals quicker. Author's Response: Thank you. It's sad but true on many levels: money does talk. It's amazing how much can get done and how quickly you can get things done when you are able to pay out of your own pocket. I'm glad that this story gave you the insight and perspective that I was trying to show. I wish I would have been able to continue, and I'm sad that I had to end it the way it is... but, yes, that's life. Thank you again. I appreciate all your comments :) Summary:

That level of hatred makes me violently ill I am always amazed at how law enforcement personal manage to mingle in the dirt with people like these. Thank God they do to keep this type of scum under control. Your chapter had my hand covering my mouth so many times.
