Date: March 10, 2022 Title: Chapter 1: A Cold Dish Called Revenge Great little story!! I agree with Brian; Stockwell is more suicidal than homicidal. I just think after his loss and after figuring out who was behind it all, he just went nuts. But I was very proud of both Brian and Justin for how they handled themselves with Stockwell. Author's Response: I was always irritated that the series didn't show us the aftrmath of Stockwell's reaction to what Brian and Justin did to his campaign. Stockwell didn't strike me as someone who would just fade into the background without seeking revenge of some sort. Thus this story was born. Date: March 10, 2022 Title: Chapter 1: F**king Rage I so would've liked if the show took this route as I couldn't stand the whole Justin / Ethan fiasco. I thought it was great that Justin knew how Brian is, and that he was willing to fight for him. That and communication will help every time. Author's Response: Throwing Ethan into the mix did make for some great drama and wonderful makeup scenes later on, but it broke my heart when Justin walked away from Brian during the Rage party. It was the look on Brian's face, when you could see that he realized what he was losing, that hurt the most. I enjoyed writing a story where he wouldn't have to suffer that pain after all. As sad as it was that he wasn't able to stop Chris' attack on Justin, he was definitely in the right place at the right time to stop Terry, thank goodness. And I'm not that surprised that out of all his friends, Emmett turned out to be the best of any of them. He seems to be the only one who truly understands Brian and sees the best in him. Everyone else just doen't take him seriously. People change, even Brian, and his friends should be accepting of that and respect him for it as well. Author's Response: I am so glad you enjoyed this story. This is my personal favourite story written in the canon verse. Like 'A Moment on the Lips', it has a very personal meaning for me, and I could totally see Brain's perfectionistic personality spiralling out of control like this after Justin left. Date: June 27, 2018 Title: Chapter 47: Poppa's Back! Hi Kim. After seeing your message about this story, I had to read this one. It was definitely a good one, just like the others, however, I was not a fan of Andrew, though, I'm sure that was pretty much the general consensus!! LOL I thought he was over the top in his feelings for Justin from the get go. He only lived with him for two weeks, yet he was basically professing his undying love for him? He came on way too strong way too fast. Of course, that only led to Justin basically pushing him away and going right back to where he belonged - Brian. I thought Lane was no good in the others, but he really and truly showed his true colors in this one. I'm glad that Brian and Justin decided on joint counseling instead of individual counseling. Yes, Justin was the one who was assaulted, but Brian went through all of this as well, and I think it helped them in the long run, and they sure came out on the other side, closer than ever. I thought it was very sweet of Brian, who even though he didn't truly understand what Justin was doing and even my have thought he was being very odd about things - the nuts and the caterpillar, he still supported and even participated with him in it. And dare I even say that it brought them closer together. Summary:
I spent my weekend listening to songs, and one in particular...Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' inspired this story. A line from the song mentions the scars of your love and ends with 'We could have had it all'. Like with so many other songs, I ended up thinking of Brian and Justin. In this story, Justin has been in NYC for a year and become a great success in the artistic community. The only problem is, he misses Brian too much to enjoy all the accolades. He decides to send Brian a message and hopes to get the response he is praying for. Will he? This story started off as a ‘what if’ ... what if Brian hadn’t met Justin until sometime in Season Three? Which things would be different and which would be the same ... or brought about in a different way? How would Brian be different? Would he be better, or would he be worse? Would he still react to Justin in the same way if they were both a couple of years older?
Anyway, that was how it started; but then I had to supply a background for Justin that was canon to begin with, but ended up being quite different ... and then the whole thing turned into a kind of thriller. Well, I hope it did.
So I guess this is part what-if, part AU, part thriller ... but most of all, of course, a love story.

Damn! I can't believe that it is time to celebrate my Fifth Anniversary of the day I posted my very first fanfic story. It is really true that time flies when you are having fun. LOL! Well folks, as is my custom I have written a new story to share with my beloved readers who have made these five years so special to me. I hope you will enjoy it. For this story, I decided to answer (in my version) the question that was never fully explored on the series. We all presume that the bombing of Babylon was caused by people who hated the protesters of the Prop 14 bill. The show never actually followed through with an investigation into the bombing. I have come up with my own theory, and the fact that Brian is re-opening the club will bring the truth out. Oh, and while we're at it, the re-opening will also be slightly different than what the show presented. In my version, a certain special someone also attends much to Brian's delight. One guess as to who I'm talking about.

I was watching 'So You Think You Can Dance' when a performance was given to the song 'Somebody That I Used to Know'. Bingo!!! Another inspiration for a Brian/Justin love story.
