Date: April 17, 2010 Title: Chapter 30: Chapter 30 I'm not liking Brian becoming close and interested in another man - I sure hope you don't have him never having Justin in his life again. Other than that it was a good chapter. Author's Response: Oh, you needn't worry about that. I am one of the most ardent OTP believers, and Brian/Justin are truly meant to be together, as far as I'm concerned. However, I should probably clarify one other thing. While I want them to spend the rest of their lives in each other's arms, I don't want them to transform into people that they're not, in order to do so. I want them firmly in character - not mushy, not pussy-whipped (for lack of a better term) not tamed or controlled or colorless. I want Brian Kinney - rake and rogue and scoundrel and drop-dead gorgeous bastard - and Justin Taylor - bold and demanding and unafraid and beautiful. So maybe MY Brian and Justin are never going to fit molds that other people might want to push them into - but they WILL - eventually - fit each other, as I believe they were meant to. We all know what happened the first time Justin and Brian went to Britin, but what happened the next time.
This is a What If story. What If Justin did not meet Brian during his Senior year. What if he was bashed for a different reason. Do you remember that one moment in the show when Justin wished he had died from the bashing...when he lost it and pushed his mother down? What if those suicidal thoughts went further, but a guardian angel steps in to give him a glimpse of what he will miss if he dies? Will it be enough for our young man to fight for his life? Or is it too late to change his destiny? This story is unbeta'd at the moment because my beta is off to see Randy in the Berkshires. That is more important. LOL!
