This story is the sequel to, "To Be, Or Not To Be", and situations here will refer heavily back to it. Gus is now a teenager, with all the usual teenage growing pains, and some not so usual. There are other family problems with his parents that will come to light, but carry consequences. But when Gus starts making decisions and choices for himself, one set of parents fights against it, while the other encourages him. Brian and Justin, too, will face their own dilemmas, some of which are unalterable. Date: January 04, 2016 Title: Chapter 15: Chapter 15 I want to congratulate you on a beautifully written emotional rollercoaster of a story. It is certainly one of the best I've read in a long time. Thank you. I think you've hit the nail on the head as far as Mels motivations are with her kids and her career. She acts as though they are possessions and only pays attention to them when others question her actions. Her treatment of Jenny is heartbreaking. At times she seems to understand how appallingly she is behaving but her career is simply too important to her to change. Lindsay seems in complete and utter denial though. I'm struggling to find any rationale behind her actions. She appears totally under Mels thumb, yet she had the wherewithall to have an affair. Yet she couldn't find the backbone to go against Mel, even a little, when it comes to her kids? It's utterly infuriating. Anyway, enough ranting. I look forward to the next updates. Yes, Mel is a unique and selfish character in this fic, and her actions are indeed appalling. Lindsay, as well, is a bit complex, and not in a positive way. You put such detail in (particularly the food which made me hungry 😃) But now I want to know about their life in Paris so if you feel like doing a sequel, I'd appreciate it.
