What if Brian and Justin had met before Episode 101?

This fic is an assumption that Brian and Justin's relationship began well before that first episode of the series.

Thank you very much for this lovely story! :) I couldn't help but smile, reading it!

Justin is so wonderful child here. I'm completely in love with him :) He is so beautiful, charming and smart. I'm not surprised that Brian was impressed by their meeting so much. Michael's reaction to Justin's words was so funny :) I got a plenty of positive emotions!

And the second part of your story was so touching! I really could see love, tenderness and care between Brian and Justin. I'm very glad Brian remembered that he has already seen Justin. I was hoping for it.

Thank you once again!

Author's Response:

Thank you, my dear!

I also have a great affection for the image of a child when Justin. I see it exactly as I wrote it: gorgeous, smart and full of charm. In short, irresistible of all forms. Brian had a glimpse of what their future held.

As for Michael ... I loved describe him as I did and put him in situations that I put.

Certanmente, Brian would remember such a remarkable meeting and realize that Justin was really his destini, your soul mate.

Thanks for the comment Sue.

Much love to you.

Hugs and kisses.

Fatima.

Thank you for this incredible work! :) I'm completely fell in love with it! It is so interesting, tense and exciting! I never can get enough of it :)

Your Brian is so beautiful! I do enjoy his inner power very much. Of course, such a person like he can cause fear - even just subconsciously - but he is a real mystery at the same time. On the one hand, this one needs to be open, but on the other hand, there are such secrets that should always be closed to retain their charm. Maybe, it is one of them :)

As for Justin, he is a very interesting person, too. To tell the truth, I really enjoyed reading about his contradictory feelings :) He fell in love with Brian in such interesting, unusual way! It seems that their relationship are complicated and simple at the same time. Of course, Brian's agression mixed with Justin's unpleasant past can't be called 'simple', but their feeling to each other are so natural and sincere - it is just charming. They don't lie to each other, they don't hide their feelings. They do what they want to do. So they are free - at least in their own eyes. Of course, Brian's problems make everything more difficult, but I believe that as long as they can trust each other and love each other they will be happy :)

The last chapter was really beautiful! Skating was so funny - especially when Brian was angry with Justin because of his laugh :) They was so caring and protective! And I was really sad because of this unpleasant incident. I hoped that this homophobe would understand that it had been enough warnings for him to stop his annoying behaviour - but unfortunately, it hadn't, To tell the truth, I was afraid that Justin just wouldn't want to talk with Brian. So I'm very glad it didn't happen. But without doubt, Brian should deal with this problem - at least for Justin's peace of mind.

Thank you once again for this incredible story! I'm really looking forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response:

hello new one!!! I'm glad to hear from you for the first time here and I'm even more glad that you liked what u found in this story :))

interesting . I like your opinion about  Brian here. ;)

you are right. it seems our Justin can't stop himself from falling in love with Brian more and more each day. we should just hope that both of them can move on from their past and begin something new with eachother.

yeah unfortunately some idiots appear most of the times to ruin the good moments but fortunately our boys didn't let him win this time :)

you are quite welcome Aliada and thank you so much too for letting me know your opinion about this story. I really hope to hear from you in the next chapters too :)))

Thank you very much for this chapter! It was charming – as always :) I received a lot of pleasure reading it. Such long ones always make me feel happier – and especially yours :)

Brian and Justin's relationship becomes deeper with each chapter. And it pleases me very much. Despite Brian's problems they definitely move in the same direction. So they learn to understand each other – even when it seems that everything is bad.

I was sad to know that Brian did hit Justin again. It was terrible :( On the one hand, I feel so sorry for Justin who fell in love with such an unpredictable person. But on the other hand, I feel sorry for Brian, too. I can only imagine what kind of feelings he has when he hurts Justin. Especially considering that he sincerely wants to make Justin happy. So kickboxing is a great idea for him! Honestly, I hadn't any thoughts about it earlier. But it is a really good solving of the problem.

As for Justin's chat with his mom, it was really amazing! :) You described it very well. Jennifer such a wonderful mother here! Obviously, she always supports Justin. And he, undoubtedly, needs it very much. It pleases me to read Justin's thoughts about his home where he can find his comfort.

I liked the gym as well. But most of all I was touched Brian and Justin's reconciliation – especially when Justin was afraid that Brian was still angry with him. And scene with burrito was wonderful! Justin was so sweet here :)

Also I was very surprised that Justin is so good at art of flirting! His smiles that force girls to do what he wants is so funny! :) I didn't even suspect that Justin has such a weapon and – moreover – can use it consciously :)

As for the ending, it was such a cliffhanger! I can't even suppose what will happen. Definitely, I'll need a lot of patience for waiting :)

Thank you once again! Looking forward to the next chapter! :)

Author's Response:

hey Aliada. I'm so soooo glad that you liked this chapter. I really tried to make it longer and now I'm happy that you liked it that way :)

yes things can really get complicated sometimes. but we can only hope they can get past their past memories and move on with each other.

thank you. I just thought that everyone needs an extra ear for when they are feeling down and a good mom can really achieve that very well :)

*LOL* yeah Brian could read his thoughts quickly and knew Justin was kinda afraid of his reaction to him so he tried to be as kind as he could ;)

I'm reall trying to prevent you from taking classes of patience *winks* . but I'm really sorry that I can't update very soon again for a while. my exams just started and till they are finished I can't post a good chapter for you again :(

you are quite welcome hun and thank you so much for the nice review :)

Such a long beautiful chapter! :) Thank you very much for it!

Poor Justin... I can't even imagine what he must be feeling. It seems to be a terrible nightmare - to meet someone who had poisoned your life for a long time, feel helpless and fear that burn everything on their way. Derek seems to be really dangerous man. He cares about his own desires - not Justin's ones. Such love - if it can be called 'love' - doesn't bring nothing but suffering.

And I was really sad because Brian didn't notice anything weird in Justin's behaviour. I hoped he would be able to help him - at least morally. Justin really needs support and care for now - maybe, like never before.

But the second part of it was completely different. I was pleasantly surprised with Brian's mother - it is so unusual to see her like that. But I liked that! Her attitude to Justin can't not to cause some positive emotions. And I just couldn't help but laugh in some moments! Brian's searching under the table was so funny! He is just charming in your story :)

As for Brian's father, honestly, I didn't expect such a reaction from Brian. Obviously, this question still hurts him - even after all these years. Hopefully, Justin will help him to get rid of all these exhausting memories. Of course, he won't be able to forget it completely, but he will happy at least. They really need each other.

Thank you again! I'm so looking forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you liked this chapter Aliada :))

I agree with you. it's not even called love in my eyes. no real love is like that.

Justin could hide his realy feelings very well in this chapter but can he still do that later too?

*lol* I'm really glad that you like the Brian here. I like to read about different attitudes from our characters from time to time myself so why not seeing a different Joan too ? ;)

I'm sure those two boys can help each other with everything :)

It's already up. and you are very welcome. hope to hear from you soon again :))

It is such a wonderful, unusual story! :) Thank you for it! I've never read something like that. Brian and Justin's travelling is really good idea to implement. I really liked it :)

Your landscapes are very beautiful. They are so alive and charming :) It is really difficult to find such a good description.

As for Brian and Justin's relationship, they are incredible! I can see so much love and care between them :) I enjoyed every line of it.

Brian's irritation regarding their tour made me smile a few times :) And I just couldn't help but laugh when Justin started reading the rules to prove his point of view :) I can imagine Brian's impatience because of it. But I agree that it is definitely his fault. On the other hand, it would be a little strange if he agreed to wear any unfashionable clothes – even for his own comfort :) I have a feeling it is going to be difficult for him to keep calm during their tour. But hopefully, Justin will help him :)

Interesting, what will happen next? Anyway, I think it'll be unforgettable vacation for both of them :) Thank you once again! Looking forward to the next chapter :)

Author's Response:

Hello, my dear, I was so happy with your comment.

It is very nice to know you like my story and think so differently. I was very happy to know your opinion.

I wanted to write a story of holiday where the boys enjoy their love and complicity, but without ceasing to be Brian and Justin we love.

There will still be plenty of adventure and stunning scenery waiting for our boys.

Thank you very much for this interesting chapter! :) It is so exciting and charming – just beautiful :)

I very wanted to see how Justin had managed to convince Brian. I can imagine how much patience and strength was necessary to do it. I liked your description of each stage of this 'operation'. It was very deep and clever. Justin definitely knows Brian's temper very well. So he can and use these knowledge successfully. And it seems Brian doesn't mind, too :)

Their agreement is a really good thing to do. Milan shopping made me smile a few times – it is so like Brian :) You described him very authentically. And Justin is just amazing :) All these details in their behaviour make your work really bright and alive. I enjoyed it so much!

Thank you once again! Looking forward to the next chapter :)

Author's Response:

Wow, Aliada! Much and thank you!

Your comment made r03;r03;me so happy :)

Justin has a lot of experience dealing with Brian and knows how to use his knowledge.

You were so kind to write his words so awesome about my story. I can only thank you very much for that.

I appreciate the comments and every incentive to this story.

It was so detailed and intense! I just couldn't help but smile reading this wonderful chapter :) You managed to create such a wonderful atmosphere! It seems I could see all the landscapes with my own eyes. And I very liked the photos - so useful thing in order to imagine everything exactly :) I was impressed by them very much.

Brian and Justin's feelings are described very skilfully – so subtly and brightly. It was very interesting to see the differences in their thoughts concerning the same situation. Brian is really happy seeing that Justin's dream comes true – what can be better at all :) I always in love with such moments in their relationship.

I like the way you described each member of the tour. Honestly, I didn't suspect that it would be so interesting. Everything was very thoughtful and detailed. And persistent – but tactful – guide made me smile a few times :) I was pleasantly surprised that Justin met the admirers of his talent. And Brian's work contacts are successfully managed as well. To my mind, he has no reason to complain – even despite the problems with his clothes :)

Justin's jealousy because of Brian's excessive attention to the tree made me laugh so much! I can imagine Justin's surprise :) And Brian's idea was so unusual - but undoubtedly, charming. Anyway, I was sure Justin would agree to try something new :)

Interesting, what will happen next? I'm so looking forward for more :)

Author's Response:

Oh, my dear!

Your wonderful comments make me so happy!

Images are big part of the story and all were selected with a purpose. I'm very glad you like them. Some are from the personal archives of a biologist friend who was actually in the Amazon region. I was inspired  to write Matteo in  this friend.

I was glad you liked Justin find admirers of his work (he  now is famous) and Brian got some contacts for Kinnetik.

Justin is gorgeous and her unusual biotype in the Amazon region, so it draws a lot of attention from everyone. David Tapajó is a keen admirer of Sunshine.

As for Justin get jealous by Brian give more attention to a tree than to him, we can all understand it.

A big hug, my dear.

Thank you very much! This chapter was very warm, so I got a lot of pleasure from it :)

I'm so glad that Brian and Justin finally enjoy their vacations together – without any complaints and doubts. I suspect it wasn't easy for Brian to admit his mistake and see his own happiness in Justin's one. But he dealt with it – that proves his deepest love to Justin and endlessly pleases me :) Really, I always feel so good when I know that they share their feelings and emotions, make each other stronger. Honestly, I didn't think that Justin would offer Brian to leave. It was very difficult decision – both for Justin's desires and their relationship in general. And I believe the solving they found is the best thing that could be.

Oh, it seems all Brian and Justin's friends have babies :) I was both surprised and glad to see it. And Justin's love to kids isn't difficult thing to notice. Kauê and Taynah are described very alive. And Rudah on Brian's shoulders is something absolutely charming :) I liked it!

Thank you once again! I'm very looking forward to the next chapter :)

Author's Response:

I was so happy with your comment.

Brian left the bad mood away and from now will enjoy this moment with Justin. Justin would give up their dream because of the frustration of Brian and Justin wanted a happy moment for both and not just for him.

Good to know I'm getting through the story the love and complicity that exists between the two.

It's nine years from the end of the show and the other boys are also happy and have their families.

I'm glad you like the hot scenes. It's Brian and Justin and they are very warm ourselves.

I am very happy that you like Kauê of Taynah and Rudah.

A hug, my dear!

Thank you for this wonderful story! I liked it so much! :) Honestly, I feel a little sad, because it came to the end. But each story has its ending – anyway. So I just glad that Brian and Justin are happy for now.

I didn't expect that Brian would agree with Justin regarding a child so fast. It is a very good idea  to show his love in this way. It seems he is ready to do everything to make Justin happy. What could be more amazing? :)

The last chapter was so long! I enjoyed it very much – especially Brian and Justin's conversations. You managed to describe it very well. I was glad seeing Justin had refused his 'snakes and alligators' idea. It would be really dangerous and reckless. Actually, I thought that Brian would have to convince Justin for a long time – maybe, even with conflicts. To tell the truth, I anticipated to see some exhausting struggle between them :)

I liked photos and all this useful information you gave. The legend was a very interesting one. I have never heard it before. Such fairy-tales are really charming and beautiful. I always enjoy  reading something like that.

Thank you once again! I'm going to re-read this story a few more times :)

Author's Response:

Thank you, my dear, for all your wonderful comments.

I was also sad because the story is over, but this is just the beginning of other stories that could come.

When I had the idea of this story, I wanted her to finish with a promise of a happy future  them for and the idea of a child, for me, is a great hope of happiness. The idea was also to be of the  Brian, I wish it was he who made r03;r03;the proposal that he and Justin have to create a baby. I wanted to demonstrate how Brian is ready to be happy next to Justin.

I wanted to write a happy story. I did not want conflicts and crises. Of course they will never fully agree with everything the other wants, but are ready to listen to the other and seek to make both happy. That's the attitude of a couple who really love.

I'm glad you liked the photos and all the information.  Legend of the Boto is just one among many other of my country. Brazilian culture is very rich because she received the influence of indigenous, African and European and it causes us to have many interesting stories like that.

You made r03;r03;me very happy to let me know you liked my story that way. Thank you, Fatima.

It was an interesting, touching work! I liked it!

You're completely right – Jennifer did never hate Brian. I always enjoyed to observe their relationships in the canon. And you showed it all very successfully.

I had an impression that I reviewed everything again – only with Jennifer's point of view. Her feelings are very contradictory - and it's not surprising. But it pleases me very much that she always understood Justin's choice - even subconsciously.

And I was so touched reading Jennifer's thoughts about Brian at the end. It is amazing that she managed to see in him a sensitive man who needs love and care. And her pride for both of them... it was so beautiful!

And a special thank for Brian and Justin's relationship. I very like the way you showed it. I just could feel the warmth of their love when I read.

Thank you so much for sharing!

Author's Response:

Hi Aliada!

I'm so happy with your comments. It is very nice to know you liked my story.

I always asked myself how feelings of Jennifer regarding Brian became over in Show. How the evolution of feelings of Jennifer that over the seasons, longer opposed in relation to Brian and Justin and became favorable, there was always intrigued me. I am very happy to have been able to express how it happened, in my view.

Thank you once again for reading my stories and leave your comments always very kind.

Oh, I'm so glad you updated it! I liked 'The Bet' a lot, and I was looking forward to continue reading this wonderful sequel. I like your style. The plot itself has a great potential, and you managed to embody it perfectly. Your descriptions are very good. I just can see this Brian - loving, caring, touchingly insecure. His longing for Justin and inevitable jealousy are definitely those things I'll never get enough of :) It was kind of funny when he forbade himself to think of Justin in order to concentrate on work.

And I liked Brian's interaction with Ted. Obviously, they have warmed up to each other by now. Their conversation about Aiden was so in-canon - I enjoyed it immensely!

I didn't quite expect that Justin's arrival would be something like that - and neither did Brian, I guess. Anyway, it was intense - I liked every word!

Thank you! Looking forward to the next chapter!

You know, I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this story submission from you! I was dreaming about it so long! It was such an amazing surprise :)

I truly liked your writing style, plot, wonderful description of feelings and incredible dynamics you managed to express so brightly and alive. I just couldn't tear my eyes off this story! That were really unforgettable moments.

Actually, the situation you described in the beginning seems to be ordinary – unfortunately – but not in the Brian and Justin's case. To tell the truth, I felt so sad while seeing Justin's desperation. It was so real, so touching – I had a really hard time trying to convince myself that it must be an explanation for Brian's behavior. He was so cold and rude that I've nearly lost any hope for their happy future together. It was such a huge tension here! I literally could feel how the cliffhanger was coming. Really – it wasn't difficult to understand that Justin wouldn't tolerate this weird – offensive – attitude of Brian any longer. And – I just can't help but admiring Justin because of that. Even if Brian really made this decision - that seems to be impossible at all - Justin wouldn't hate him and – more than that – he would continue loving him. I believe that the only true feelings can be so deep – whether the chosen 'directions' are equal or different.

And I didn't expect this to be AU at all. It was such a pleasant surprise :)  The way Brian and Justin met, fell in love and built their relationship is amazing. I loved every line of it! Brian's desire to protect Justin from troubles, to keep him safe and this rude manner at the same time... I enjoyed it so much! It was really painful to see that Justin got hurt, but when Brian saved him, when Justin showed him all the devotion and love he felt, I couldn't really decide what to do – cry or laugh! And all these funny moments you described are so beautiful! I can hardly say how much I enjoyed it.

Brian and Justin's conversation is a really right thing to do. They needed it so much. They both are so in-character here! I liked the way Brian apologized – it was so touching and truthful. And when Justin said that he needed some time alone... Honestly, I didn't have any doubts concerning his decision, but despite that I just couldn't help worrying because of all this tension between them.

And one more thing I would like to notice. I truly loved Justin's thoughts about Brian – especially the part where you describe Brian like a good boss :) I don't know why it impressed me so much, but I couldn't help re-reading this several times. Really – it's such a pleasure to see that Justin knows Brian so well.

The epilogue made me completely happy – although I wouldn't mind reading this story endlessly :) It is such a relief to see them together, knowing that they've finally found the right way to go.

Thank you once again for this work of art! I'm going to re-read it a few more times, though I doubt then I'll ever get enough of it - anyway :)

Author's Response:

Hi, Vlada! Your amazing, incredible review has absolutely made my day – I’m still shocked, because I don’t remember ever receiving such a long and detailed comment, not even in our HP fandom. Your ability to highlight all sides that you liked, describe the emotions you felt is astonishing – I’ve read this review for three times already and every time I blushed!:)

Thank you for your beautiful words, I’m so relieved and happy you liked this story. You know your opinion means a lot to me. Especially thank you for liking Justin – since he’s my most favorite character, I always hope to portray him right. Brian is more difficult to write, though – and to tell the truth, at first I didn’t even know I was going to include Adam arc in here. I thought initially just to show a couple who once loved each other incredibly, but who, after so many years, have lost some of the magic in their relationship. But Brian and Justin decided to go their way – and I’m grateful for that, I like this version much more than the previous one.

Oh, I love how you just notice absolutely everything!:) Everything I wanted to write most, like protective Brian in his usual push me/pull me manner. I love school/college AUs, so I couldn’t help writing my own short version. I’m so happy you liked it!

I also wasn’t planning to write the epilogue, but it felt necessary. As always I’m glad I did :) I’m constantly surprised at how characters dictate me what to do instead of the other way around.

Since your English is so good, maybe you’d also consider writing a B/J story?:) I’d be on cloud ninth with happiness, I love your style and the way you observe people’s characters and motivation.

Thank you again – I doubt any words would be sufficient to express how I felt reading your thoughtful, amazing comment. So just – thank you :)

Hugs

Thank you so much for the update! I was waiting for it very much! This story is one of my two favorites of yours (the second one is 'It's All a Mystery').

I'm just crazy about the plot, characters and atmosphere (though I don't actually read vampire stories very often). The dynamics between Brian and Justin is one of the most intense and captivating I've ever seen. The mere thought about Brian submitting to Justin is exciting and a little unusual. I didn't give it a lot of thought before reading your story, so it became kind of discovery for me.

Your descriptions of their feelings are beautiful - I liked to see Brian being so vulnerable, open about his feelings. It was really touching. And Justin's desire to protect him is something amazing! I admire them both. My heart ached for them during all those horrible events, and I was so happy when they managed to survive. I could see the real love here - powerful, passionate and deep.

The last chapter was amazing as well. I liked the details about bracelets. Justin really needs to get to know more about all those things in order to feel more confident and calm (at least to some extent). Interesting, what is William Parker like? I'd love to see him.

So Marylin and Finn know each other. I didn't expect that :) Brian and Justin are lucky to have him helping them. He seems to be really responsible and reliable. I just hope they manage to succeed, and Zachariah doesn't get to them.

Thank you once again for this wonderful masterpiece! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

Oh, thank you so much for your lovely review! I am glad you like so many things about this story! I have enjoyed writing it and just took a little too long of a break. I'm also glad you like Brian and Justin's relationship in this tale. I know some people are divided on a more submissive Brian but I would like to think that it isn't coming out of nowhere when it comes to the Feed & Extract universe.

Justin really does need to know all that he can in order to be prepared and to protect his friends. William Parker will be introduced soon. :) Justin will eventually confide in him over what happened in Kansas and William in turn will tell him about what happened when he was first turned.

Marilyn and Finn go way back. And they are pretty lucky. Things will go a little more smoothly. I'm not sure Zachariah will be happy to find out that his brother is mentoring his protegé though...

Oh wow, a masterpiece?! Lol, I don't know about that. But thank you for thinking so and for reviewing! :)

Hi! Thank you so much for your beautiful story! I like it very much.

You Brian and Justin are wonderful, I fell in love with them right away. Brian’s pregnancy… it was intense and touching at the same time. I loved every detail, verything was so well-written and interesting. I couldn’t keep my eyes off it even for a moment!

Justin’s e-mails are amazing! I can’t remember ever reading something like that. It was really hilarious and enjoyable – especially Brian’s reaction to it :)

And I also loved Keith and Leo. It’s good that they’re so supportive of Brian and Justin.

Patrick is charming! Brian’s love to him is something that’s just impossible to resist. Actually, I understood it’d be that way from that very moment when Brian slapped Justin’s hand off his belly fearing for his Peanut/Munchking’s safety. It was really funny, by the way – I was laughing so hard! :)

As for the second pregnancy, it’s really difficult. I can’t even imagine what Justin must have been feeling during the first one. I completely understand his concerns. It might be really dangerous for Brian.

I’m very glad you’re going to keep on writing :) Looking forward to the next chapter!

By the way, I liked you other works as well. You’re very talented.

Thank you for this wonderful update! I enjoyed it, as always :)

It was intense. Poor Brian and Justin. Everything is so difficult for them right now. I should admit that I got a little irritated when Justin said to Brian that he hated him. I can imagine what Brian must have been feeling. But at the same time Justin’s behavior is understandable. He is scared out of his mind, let alone he’s feeling guilty for what has happened. It makes everything even more complicated. Brian needs Justin’s support more than anything else, so it won’t be any good if Justin continues to distress himself (and Patrick, as a result).

Thank you once again for this chapter! Can’t wait for the next one!

Great chapter! Loved it!

Evan seems like a good teacher. Kids who keep forgetting their stuff can be really exhausting yet funny at the same time.

I liked scene with Patrick’s picture. Hopefully, his passion for painting remains in the future. Really, why shouldn't he inherit that trait of Justin’s? :)

Emmett's complains about Ted and Black’s ‘assault’ are hilarious. I definitely love him here!

And that ‘teddy bear’ moment is probably my favorite (though it’s really difficult to choose one). Debbie’s remark made me smile – a mixture between Brian and Justin is definitely not something you can deal easy with :)

Thank you for writing such a beautiful story!

Thank you for another enjoyable chapter!

Poor Brian… Having to deal with all these problems – a DJ at first and then this competition thing. I doubt he’d be satisfied if he had to give it all up in order not to overdo. Not the Brian we know, anyway :) I just hope everything turns out well. Justin isn’t going to be pleased, though.

Oh, Emmett is something! Brian’s message made me laugh – I can imagine what Emmett will say :)

Brian’s reaction to Patrick’s tears is so touching. I just melted! I adore the moments like that.

Thank you once again! Can’t wait for the next update!

Oh, so Keith is going to have twins! It’s a good thing that Brian isn’t the one to receive such news. Justin would be having a panic attack.

I was a little surprised that Brian actually agreed to check on Black. It seems like their friendship with Ted is really important to him – he definitely wouldn’t do such thing if it wasn't. I like their interaction in the show, and I enjoy it here as well.

Poor Patrick… I can imagine what he must have been thinking. I hope Brian and Justin will make it up to him, so he won’t be feeling insecure when the baby is born.

The conversation about Kiki was hilarious :)

Thank you for this update! Can’t wait for the next one!

Hi, Fatima! I read this work a while ago, and I wanted to write a review since then. When I finished reading, I had only one thought in my mind – ‘'what a perfect story!'’. I definitely got everything I wanted – interesting plot, intensity, talented descriptions of feelings. It's so in-canon that it hurts :) I loved every moment of it, and though I don't actually read the works that don’t have Brian and Justin as the main characters, I'm always up for something like that – let alone that I really like Ted, and it's always fun to see how their friendship with Brian develops. I truly enjoyed their interaction in the show – I just couldn’t get enough! You described their first meeting perfectly. It’s just how I’d imagine that (if I actually thought of it before).

And I liked Emmett and Godiva, of course! They were incredible! Actually – who would have helped Ted to adjust to his new life better than them :) I liked how they tried to shorten his name – it was hilarious!

And I was glad you mentioned Justin – it was a pleasure to see him. The entire scene was very beautiful.

The ending was amazing as well. I was really happy for Ted. You created a very special atmosphere.

Thank you for this wonderful masterpiece! I’ll definitely re-read it!

The slave trade is alive and well in our AU society.  The community is mostly split half and half on the issue; half of society is for slavery and half is against.  However, Brian Kinney had never put much thought to the subject, despite the fact that his best friend, Michael, and Michael's mother, Deb, were both major players in CAST, a group against the sexual slavery of men and women.  But this all changes when Brian accompanies Michael to a slave auction, where he is introduced to a beautiful 18 year old slave named Justin, just now coming up for bid.  Born a free man, Justin's life was turned upside down when his father sold him into slavery at the tender age of 15, only three years before he was to be sold.  Chaos ensues.

Hi, Frances! Thank you so much for such a captivating work!

Actually, I love such stories very much, so I had big hopes for this one while starting reading. And it has definitely intrigued me.

The plot is interesting and unusual. The characters are well-written and alive. I’ve already fallen in love in Justin. He is so strong and brave, he tries to fight for himself (even despite of knowing where his rebellious attitude might lead him). It was really painful to see him like this – helpless, desperate, humiliated.

Brian is amazing as well. He’s already so protective of Justin. It’s always a pleasure to see how much he cares – I’m sure this feeling will only become stronger in the future.

The auction was breathtaking. I couldn’t take my eyes off it! Such powerful tension… And it was so touching when Justin feared to find out who had bought him eventually. Of course, he doesn’t trust Brian now yet, but I’m sure that he was somehow relieved that it wasn’t someone else (even on an intuitive level).

I understand Michael’s concerns – this entire thing is not going to be easy for them. However, I wonder how he’ll behave towards Justin in the future.

Thank you once again! Can’t wait for the update!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your kind words!  I'm so glad you're enjoying it!  Michael's intentions will be brought to light soon and Brian and Justin are still canon Brian and Justin.  lol.  Wouldn't change them for the world!

Hi, Frances! Your story is getting better and better with each chapter! It so intense that I can barely take my eyes off it while reading. I'm enjoying it immensly!

Justin is so vulnerable now, and Brian is so caring - I just love them this way. Justin's outburst made me worried for a second - it was a relief when Brian managed to handle it. Actually, it's pretty natural that Justin is acting out right now - he's still scared, unsure of himself. So it's even more pleasurable when he shows the rare glimpses of trust towards Brian. I loved it when Debbie scared him, and he felt the need to seek protection from his Master. It was touching.

The conversation about selling was very emotional. It's obvious that Brian is already doubtful of his decision, so what is going to happen when he discovers his feelings to Justin and admits them? I don't think he'll be able to let Justin go by then.

Thank you for this wonderful journey! Can't wait for the next update!

I love this story! It's very interesting, intense, well thought out and incredibly in-canon. I like Brian and Emmett's interaction. It was pretty obvious that there was something special about their relationship - something we just didn't get to see in the show. I always wanted to learn how their friendship developed, and now - thanks to you - I have this oppotrunity. I believe every word of it - your descriptions are very talented and captivating.

This chapter was so touching! Honestly, I expected Brian to do something about Emmett's problem from that very scene when he tried to console him (in his own unique way). And when Emmett didn't take the money Brian offered him, I felt that Brian would eventually solve this problem no matter what it took. You managed to show his interest in it, his desire to help, and it looked amazingly natural - as if it was the way it should be.

Thank your for this wonderful piece! Can't wait for more!

By the way, I love your other stories as well :)

Author's Response:

I'm glad you like it, Aliada! I always wanted to see more of the relationship between Brian and Emmett. Although we didn't see it often, the scenes we did see we're always telling and meaningful. I'm also glad you think they are being believably portrayed!

I think it's possible that Brian had Emmett's situation in the back of his mind when he eventually accepted Simon's proposition. Originally it was to deter Simon, or at least remind him that their relationship is not romantic in any form. But Brian is what he said he is earlier in the chapter: an opportunist. And Emmett being Emmett couldn't leave Brian to fend for himself, despite his moral code being at conflict. I think Brian appreciated it and that helped his resolve more (once he sobered up) to make sure Emmett got the closure he needed.

It will definitely be a strange, upsetting, and revealing adventure for Emmett and Brian! Hope you stick around for it! :) Thank you for reading and reviewing!

Oh, that's quite interesting and unusual! I like it!

I was doubtful at first whether to read it or not - because of Michael and Ben's being the main characters. But I'm very glad I did.

I feel for Ben right now. He must be desperate.

Michael turning into a duck... well, it's hilarious, even despite a pretty tragic beginning. Those 'quacks' made me smile :)

And your words about Brian and Justin playing a significant part got me intrigued even more. Can't wait to see how everything turns out!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you like it! I've wanted to write about other couples in QAF for a while (even though I know the demand isn't very high.) Although I was always hot and cold on Michael, I always loved Ben and loved them together. So I figured I would write a really strange story for them.

Ben is very desperate. He thought his husband was dying. And for Michael to disappear out of thin air? He's frantic.

Michael is very confused but even moreso heartbroken because he's watching Ben freak out and he can't tell him that he's Michael. ;)

Brian and Justin will definitely be brought closer together due to these strange happenings. Thank you for reading and reviewing!

Oh, that was interesting!

I'm glad that Justin arrived. Brian is so cold now, yet it's obvious that he's tense and nervous at the same time. Undoubtedly, Justin will need all the strength he can get, this isn't going to be easy for him. I wonder how everything turns out.

Michael's story gets more and more intriguing. The meeting with ducks was hilarious! It's really original and unusual. I didn't expect that the ducks would actually believe him and even try to help. He's lucky to have them by his side - however crazy it might sound :)

Wow, Debbie is intuitive. I suspected that she might be the one to recognise her son, but definitely not so fast. She really impressed me!

Thank you for the update! Looking forward to the next one!

Author's Response:

Justin is definitely persistent and knows something is up with Brian. He's worried and he's pissed off. And Michael is definitely having quite the adventure. Even though he is desperate to be human again, he loves his new friends. ;) They are very supportive in his quest. You will find out why Debbie knows that Michael is Michael next chapter, which I just posted several hours ago! Thank you for reading and reviewing!

What a great chapter! It so good to see that everything worked out well!

I should admit, I was a little scared for Brian and Justin - everything seemed so difficult between them. I thought that Brian would resist longer. It seems like pregnancy affects him in a good way :)

I liked Brian's conversation with Michael - it was both meaningful and hilarious. They understood each other so well that Michael's quacks almost didn't seem strange :)

The ending was wonderful. Brian and Justin's decision to leave Pittsburg is a good thing, they definitely need to have a rest after all those stressful - crazy - events.

Thank you for this update! Looking forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you liked it! I think Brian realizes that, while he is probably capable of doing this alone, he doesn't want to. He knows Justin has every right to be around their children and also knows that he still wants him. Now he'll get to have him full-time. ;)

When it comes down to it, Brian and Michael will always be best friends. They will be there for each other no matter what and have an understanding for each other that can't be replaced. The species barrier won't get in their way.

They definitely do need to rest. Brian needs to avoid stress and being around a city who knows him will only stress him out more. This way he can spend the rest of his pregnancy in peace lol.

Next chapter is now up and it's a long one! I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!

I like the beginning! Your style is beautiful. The plot is very captivating, though it's not easy to see Brian and Justin suffering. I feel for both of them. Justin is trying to deal with his feelings for Brian, but to no avail - fortunately (I just can't imagine him actually succeeding at that task). I was touched by his emotions every time he thought about having to break up with Brian. If only Brian wasn't so stubborn...

I understand Justin's motives and desires. He is a strong person who is willing to fight for himself - and it's admirable. However, I can't help but being glad that he didn't walk away like that in the show - it would be heartbreaking. The current situation itself is really dangerous for them. I just hope that everything works out well.

Thank you for sharing! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

Hi,

Thanks so much for this review and your kind words! Love it when people review :)

I loved the 'most historic unification since Germany', but always wished that Justin had stood up for what he wanted when it came to their relationship. I guess this is my way of getting that done.

Poor Justin... It hurts to see him miserable. You manage to capture his emotions so perfectly - it's a great pleasure to read your work! I don't know why, but I was almost sure that Deekins would win (and Justin would feel better), and when that didn't happen... well, that was an intense moment.

I wonder what Brian is feeling right now. I was touched by his e-mail to Justin. Only several words - but what words they are! It's so in-canon. And so is not contacting Justin again (unfortunately).

Their meeting after the debate was heartbreaking yet beautiful. I never really thought of how their relationship would be affected if Brian didn't stop working for Stockwell. It just seemed so natural that he actually gave up his ambitions and chose the right path. Here everything is more complicated.

Thank you for the update! Looking forward for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for your wonderful review! It means so much when readers respond (and with such kind words) :)

I actually thought that it would be obvious that Deekins would lose, but apparently I'm the only one who thought so. I always thought that Justin succeeded n defeating Stockwell because he had Brian by his side, and Brian worked against Stockwell because he had Justin to show him which road to take. With the two of them not together, good things just can't happen the way they did on the show.

I really wanted to show that while Justin is strong and does the right thing, he is still hurting badly inside; even the strongest people cry.

The next chapter, unfortunately, will be even shorter than this, but Part 4 will be more comprehensive.

What a sad, beautiful chaper! Thank you for it! I loved it to no end.

Your described Justin's life perfectly, Yes, he feels calm and comfortable, he is successful - yet there is one thing that's out of his reach, one he craves more than anything. His bond to Brian is painful, complicated, however, what could ever compare to its power? Justin's relationship with Kabir can't for sure.

Vic's death is indeed a very tragic moment. You managed to show all the grief and pain perfectly - I just could feel it.

The ending was breathtaking. Debbie's letter touched me very much. She really knows what she's talking about. Actually, I can't imagine Justin knowing about Brian being sick and not doing anything about it. He won't be able to stay indifferent.

Thank you once again! Can't wait for the next update!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for reading and your review! I love reviews, especially such long and detailed ones :)

Justin will definitely not be indifferent, I can assure you that. It's not like Justin to not do anything when Brian is in some kind of danger. And Debbie is so boisterous and loud, but she does look out for everyone, especially Brian and Justin. I will be updating very, very soon :)

It was very clever of Justin to behave this way with Brian. I thought that it would take less time for Brian to realize that something is off - Justin did a very good job.

I was touched by Brian's willingness to help Justin, no matter what. His love is so obvious!

The ending was painful. But it's logical, of course - Brian couldn't react in any other way. I just hope Justin doesn't back down, because such feelings are really worth to fight for.

Thank you!

I should admit that I was scared for a moment here. It was so painful to see Brian and Justin apart again. Yes, Justin tried to survive, to succeed, but wasn't it just meaningless at the end? Didn't he feel like something was missing. Your ability to show every undertone of Justin's feelings is amazing - I can't get enough of your descriptions!

The break-up with Kabir isn't unpredictable, yet I completely understand why it affected Justin so much. After everything he'd been through... it's only natural that he needed at least one thing to remain whole and constant. But staying together wasn't an option, either.

Oh, the second part was powerful. They finally shared their feelings! It felt almost surreal. Well, sometimes screaming can be really useful :)

Thank you once again! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

Awww, this is such an amazing review! Thanks so much :) My writing is so short and matter-of-fact, I'm surprised that you can get the covert emotions. Thanks again!

Kabir was the anti-Ethan. And I think that saddened Justin as well, apart from the fact that Kabir gave him the stability he was so desperately seeking.

It's amazing. I don't usually read such short stories, but I couldn't miss one of yours (I adore your works - especially 'Buses & Trains'). I like your descriptions of Justin's feelings - that's just how I imagined this entire thing with Ethan. Of course, it was a difficult journey back there - full of uncertainty, pain and even desperation, however, I never thought that Justin might fall out of love with Brian. It just didn't seem possible. The connection between them wasn't actually endangered - even then. You managed to show it beautifully. Thank you for this.

I loved this story! The episode you chose is one of the most interesting in the show. It's always fun to read different interpretations.

The conversation between Brian and Justin was very well written - I couldn't get enough and wanted it to go on endlessly :) Actually, I'm just crazy about protective Brian - it's always so touching and appealing. And this particular moment is a good opportunity for his instincts to kick in.

And I agree with you - Justin has probably topped before. I should admit, that scene felt a little unusual for me the first time I saw it. I didn't expect Brian to have this degree of trust. It was a powerful - beautiful - evidence of his true feelings.

Hi! I re-read this beautiful story once again and enjoyed it even more than before.

I loved interaction between Brian and Debbie - it was so in-canon! And Emmett with his 'colorful' ideas was hilarious. You created a great Christmas atmoshpere, even though at the beginning things were not so good for our boys.

I should admit I got a little scared when the first conversation didn't work out. I knew that it was rather difficult for them to make up and find a decision but still... It was really heartbreaking to see them like this, especially Brian with his overwhelming fear to lose Justin once again. That made him so powerless and desperate that his further actions seemed like a miracle in some way. He could shut down. He could wait for Justin to do something about their issues. He could destroy everything completely. But he didn't. Eventually he found a way. He managed to get a hold of himself and let his love lead him, which saved them both.

As for Justin, I just loved him here! My favourite moment is when he would make Brian talk to him by forbidding him other ways of communication :) It was so familiar!

And the ending is great as well. I liked how Brian warmed up to the Christmas tree :) It's always a pleasure to see how Justin makes him like that.

Thank you once again for this wonderful piece!

Hugs

Author's Response:

Hi, Vlada! Thank you so much for another wonderful comment of yours, it took me by surprise considering you've already left your opinion once. I can't tell you how much it means to me - especially coming from you.

Most of all I'm glad that the story seemed canon enough, it's always difficult to show characters as they were desribed in the show. Brian and Justin's biggest problem was always talking, so I wanted to try and show what would happen if there was no other way to communicate. They both grew up, it was time to discuss what hadn't worked between them if they wanted to have another chance.

Thank you so much for such a lovely review, I'm happy you enjoyed the story!

Oh, I just loved this story! It was hilarious and intense at the same time. I liked the beginning - it was intriguing and sweet. The idea of Brian and Justin being stuck in the elevator was pretty appealing to me but I didn't think there would be something unusual... and here you managed to really surprise me! It was so funny when Brian was worrying about Justin's 'suspicious' duffel bag! Or when Justin attacked him with this water pistol. Or when Brian suggested that Justin drew a picture of a gun to scare people. I liked every line and just couldn't get enough!

it was an amazing, captivating story. Thank you so much for sharing!
