Author’s Notes: Man when I think about this movie and then about how to make it for QAF a lot of stuff is so wrong because well they were kids, but then I know kids. It’s just making it follow the storyline of the movie. I think I can do this. I just hope I’m doing it justice. I don’t want the story to be too long but not to short you know. Let’s see If I can put out another chapter. Once again no beta all mistakes are mine.
Chapter 2
Fucking Blackmail!
Sometimes Michael Novotny hated his life. His mom seemed to find out everything, and he didn’t understand how she could be so understanding about his homosexuality, but when it came to usual teenaged angst, well that’s where she drew the line.
“I know the problem it’s that jackass. I don’t know why I let you hang out with him. Todd was seriously hurt!” she scolded.
“Ma, it wasn’t even like that. No one made him jump off, it was just a game that we were playing. Brian went in after him. He ended up spending the night in the ER last night!”
“You will follow that boy to the end of the earth no matter what. Brian could be a good influence on you if he just realized his potential. I thought once his mother got rid of Jack he would be better, but no now he blames that on his excuse to be the thorn in my side. I talked to his mother earlier, and let me tell you I think things are about to change for him.”
“What are you talking about ma?”
“Let’s just say his actions are catching up with him.” Debbie told her son.
*AW*
Brian couldn’t believe he was here. It was Sunday for Christ’s sake. Yet here he was in the principal’s office pretending to listen to what he was sure was an in depth scolding from “The Sap”, the thing was he really didn’t care. He had already been put in his place by his mother, who had to drag herself from latest bottle to come and pretend to be a mother at ER, his father who had to pull himself from under his latest whore to tell him how his actions weren’t the right ones, and now he was being railroaded by a shop teacher on a power trip.
“I’m sorry what the fuck did you say?” Brian asked catching the end of the conversation.
“OH you heard that did you? We found these beer bottles behing the gymnasium last night, and we have a witness that said they saw you and that group of yours outside drinking and smoking.”
“Who? I bet it was Schmidt, he was just upset that may have borrowed a little more from his account than we agreed. He would say anything to get back at me. You can’t take the team from me, I’ve got a scout coming and I need the extra time to try and recover from hurting my ankle. I didn’t mean for Todd to get hurt. He told you it was his idea I know he did.”
“Yes he did, but I’m sure he got some intimidation from you in some way.”
“I don’t threaten, that leads to confrontation, and I can’t take a chance on this pretty face. They love this face down at Babylon, ain’t that right Sap.” Brian told him giving him a knowing wink.
“I’m in charge here Kinney. If you want a scout to even get a look at you starting tomorrow you will stay after to school tutoring in math, and you will take part in the school play and in return I won’t expel you from our school.”
“Now hold on a second Saperstein, I will gladly help out the slow trolls in math, but will not be singing in no stupid play. I’m not some drama queen.” He told him rising from his seat the best he could on his crutches.
“Mr. Kinney, you need to realize where you are, here I’m the boss. You do what I say, or I’ll make it that you stick around for an extra year. Now that will be all.” Saperstein shouted.
Brian didn’t really have time for this right now. Everyone was upset that little Todd was in the hospital with a concussion, and something was wrong with his leg, and Brian Kinney had put him there. He hadn’t, no one made Todd come. No he was trying to prove that he was a man, so that he could prove that he was a whore to some trick in the back room at Babylon, and he Saperstein knew that, being the owner of the club and all. He would play his rules by now. He would play into his blackmail. He grab a copy of the play and other paper’s from his desk and left before he lost his temper.
*******
Justin Taylor was excited. He was put in charge of the play this year at school, and he was going to do his best to make it the best they had ever seen. Emmett was excited too, he was already working on the costumes, it was his job to come up with the lyrics for the original songs. He could do this, he had to this was problem the last time he would get a chance like this. He was so deep in thought he wasn’t watching where he was going and bumped into someone knocking them to the floor.
“Watch it asshole, can’t you see me trying to walk here.” Brian screeched.
“I’m sorry let me help you with those papers.” Justin told him as he quickly began to gather the scattered pages as Brian got back up on his crutches. “Number 32.” He whispered.
“I’m sorry.” Brian questioning what he whispered.
“Number 32 on my list. Help out an old friend. I can now scratch that off.
“We aren’t old friends, and what kind of list.”
“Sure we are Brian. You might not remember, but I do. You and in kindergarten we shared sleep mat once. I didn’t get mad when you wet yourself at naptime. We just run in the same group anymore. So you dropped your things this is me helping. Helping an old friend.”
“You’ve got me interested, what else is on this list?”
“Oh you know read the books on the bestseller’s list, get a tattoo, end world hunger, be in two places at one time-----
“Be in two places at one time, what kind of loser makes these kinds of lists?” Brian asked again trying not to laugh.
“You are truly making me regret helping your crippled ass!” Justin shouted. He quickly covered his mouth unable to believe he had said such language.
Brian Kinney took a moment to take in this thing in front of him. Sure he was dressed in an oversized hoodie, but there was something about the jeans that showed off his ass that was making him see something in this shell of a boy.
“Where are you heading?” Brian asked smiling.
Justin didn’t like the way he was looking at him, but he was feeling a little intrigued. “No place special.” He replied.
“I can change that.” Brian smirked. He was upset but maybe things were starting to look up.
End Notes: God it’s hard writing them in high school. I like this chapter a lot and it will be my last for today I think. It’s 5 am no beta but I hope you like it.
