Chapter Eleven: Keep Your Faith Alive

Deb's POV:

Currently me and what little of our family I was able to get off the bus was walking in the woods trying to find a place safe enough to rest for the night.

"Ma, what about over there? We'd have the stream in front of us and the trees seem close enough together that it's nearly impossible to see. Even I'm having trouble seeing in it." Mikey said and I looked to where he was pointing and agreed with him that it was hard to see. I could barely make out the stream he was talking about.

"Alright, let's head that there and we'll make plans for what's to come." I said and led them to the clearing. Once there we all just fell to the ground and sighed completely wore out.

"Deb, what're we gonna do?" Hunter asked as he leaned on Ben's shoulder for comfort.

"We rest here, get some supplies, and go out looking for our family as well as another place to stay at that's safe." Hershel said as he walked up to stand by me. Looking at him now it makes me shudder at how close we were to losing him to the Governor. If it wasn't for Justin Hershel would be dead right now.

I smiled at the thought of Sunshine being held by Brian as they kissed without a care who was watching and Carl running up only to tackle Justin to the ground while he was distracted and Rick and Dar laughing at the scene.

"How do we even know they're alive?" T asked and I looked at him.

"We know because they're all very stubborn people. Even if Beth, Amy, and Glenn got off the bus I know they found the others and everyone's alive. We'll stay in this general area because they all will too and eventually we'll find them again." I told him though he still had doubt in his eyes.

"Have faith T. Everyone's alive I just know it." Mikey said and pulled Gus into his arms when he walked up to him.

"I have faith, I'm just worried. The others left so quick we didn't get to see which way they all went. What if we never see them again? And Justin, once that tank came through the fences no one was able to see him again. The others may have gotten out but he was alone and sick. What if he didn't make it? What if James has him again?" he asked and everyone looked down at that.

"Sunshine's strong. He wouldn't let something like this kill him, trust me that boy's been through a lot in his life, and even if he's alone he's in this area either we find him and make him safe or he'll find his way to Bri and the others. Honestly, him finding Bri is a higher chance than us finding him. It's like those two have a magnetic pull or something." I said and everyone laughed a little at that.

"Deb's right. The others are alive and ok and we'll all find each other again. For now let's look at what we were able to save and send people to get more supplies for tomorrow. This place is safe for now, but I don't like us being the exposed, we need to move and soon before we're found. By the dead or the living though I'd rather take my chances with the dead." I said and the others nodded their agreements and got to doing what I just said to do.

The next morning we all got up and began to walk, towards what none of us knew.

A few hours later of walking in silence Hunter suddenly took off making us all call for him and run after him. When we caught up to him we found some train tracks and a sign that Hunter was looking at.

"Don't ever do that again." Mikey and Ben said firmly and pulled him close to them as we all stared at the sign in shock.

"That's why I ran. I thought I saw something in the distance and this is what I found." he said as we all stared at the map of different ways of getting to a place circle on it.

"Terminus." I said aloud and looked at the note underneath it.

SANCTUARY: THOSE WHO ARRIVE, SURVIVE.

"What do you guys think?" T asked and we all looked at each other.

"If our family's out there then they're heading for this." Ben said and I nodded at him and smiled at Hershel.

"Let's go." I said and everyone nodded and began to walk.

Though, this time with smiles, talking, and a bit of a skip in our steps.
