I feel like Brian Kinney right now...sorry is bullshit.  It's bullshit because it doesn't express how deeply regretful I am to have taken so long to post this chapter.  The past several months have been very taxing on me.  I lost my business, my son had surgery, which I'm afraid he's developing complications from, my husband broke a rib and my health hasn't been so good.  I've been stealing minutes here and there trying to finish this chapter.  It's a long one, so I hope you'll forgive me this unforgiveable delay.   Thank you to all who have stayed with me, and this story.

Please don't kill me!  My muse has been trying to do exactly that for the past two months!  We've been having this battle. She's been pulling me in one direction, and I've been trying to go in another.   She won out.   Actually, I'm quite pleased with the direction she's taken. I reread my story to make sure it all fit (I'm a stickler for making sure all the dots connect) and surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly, as it turned out, the little mink was right!  She'd been planning this turn in the story all along, I just needed time to catch on.  lol.

I do hope you like this chapter.  There's a lot going on. A lot of 'balls' in the air right now.   I REALLY need feed back on this one!

To recap since it's been so long since an update...Brian owns a Private Detective agency, Justin is an ex cop who goes to work for Brian.  Of course, sparks fly.  They work a few cases together, and a few revelations come out about each's past.   They grow closer through their shared professional experiences (talking about the cases they worked on together) and personal experiences.

What we know is that Brian doesn't talk about his past, or his family, and Justin refuses to talk about Hobbs (the man he fell in love with who ratted him out when he was undercover...causing him to get bashed)  They each 'plot' to help the other deal with the emotional damage each endured from past abuse, and together, in the last chapter, they decide that their past, is best left in the past.  

But unfortunately, sleeping dogs won't lie, and more secrets are about to come out!  Hope you enjoy!

I know this is very late. I also know this whole story has taken way to long to write, and I apologize. My only excuse is - life -    First my daughter was sick, then I lost my business, then my grandmother needed surgery and I had to go take care of her, and now, my aunt was diagnoised with Breast Cancer a few weeks ago and I  am going down to be with her for the surgery next week.  I'm not sure when I'll get the next chapter up, but I WILL finish this story.  I'm very grateful to all who've stuck with this story and supported me even though it's been painfully slow in finishing.

I really would appreciate feedback on this chapter as my mind was preoccupied with other matters.  I hope you enjoy it.   Again, thank you all so much.
