Way to go Brian, I’m so proud of you for decking him and standing up for yourself and Justin’s love. You guys are stronger together then apart. My heart is singing with glee at you getting married. I would love to see a sequel in where another novel is written of the married life and starting a family. That journey would be an incredible story.

Im sad to see this beautiful and brilliant story end but it truly touched my heart and soul. Thank you for writing it 🌸💕💕🌸

Author's Response:

Knowing that you enjoyed this story so much has made me extremely happy, Vicki.  I can never thank you enough for all your amazing comments on my work.  It is a highlight of my day.  As you can see, I love a happily ever after for our boys.  And I never let a villain get away with their bad behavior.  Brian and Justin, as a couple, are simply unbeatable.  Thank you again for all the comments you've left for this story.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

I can feel Justin’s nerves I’m nervous for him my knee is bouncing. I knew he would pull it off he had Brian by his side. I knew Brian would want to be by his side when the news came in. Their declarations of love melted me, it’s a perfect way to start my day.

Beautiful chapter x

Author's Response:

After all the drama that this couple had to go through, I knew it was time for something good to happen.  Not only does Justin get his first serious novel published, but the couple now understands fully what is going on between them... real love.  The future is finally looking very bright for Brian and Justin.  Huge hugs, Grammy

I’m so proud of Justin for finishing his novel that is a hard thing to do. I’m struggling to write my own story lol. I know Brian will love it and see the heart and soul that Justin poured into it. Justin’s dad is an ass how could he do that to Justin. I hope a Brian takes him on that trip and have the best time ever. I love Brian getting closer to his son. I do hope he and Justin have some children of their own they would be amazing parents.

Fabulous chapter x

Author's Response:

Sometimes a story simply writes itself, but more often than not, we writers have to struggle to give birth to our stories.  Of course, in this case, Justin has the help of all the things he has learned from Brian and the man himself to make his story come to life and be completed.  And yes, Craig is the worst kind of father, at least for Justin.  But don't worry, because Brian will always be there to fill the void Craig has left in Justin's heart.  Huge hugs, Grammy

That was amazing, I loved Brian and Justin connecting like they did. And the playfulness at the carnival was so cute. I think they will have lots of fun with the prize Brian won for Justin. The lovemaking and conversation back at the loft really touched me right in my soul. It was like watching two halves of a heart join back together again because love made it happen. I hope Justin moves to Pittsburgh and create a family with Brian.

Beautiful Chapter x

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you enjoyed this chapter so much, Vicki.  I knew it was time for their relationship to advance to the next stage.  It may have taken a bit longer than it should have, but these two souls are finally realizing just how connected they truly are.  It will go a long way for them in the future.  Huge hugs, Grammy

I hate when things don’t go to plan just like it did in Justin’s mind as to why a Brian was. It can put all kinds of thoughts running through your head  Expsecally if you hear stories that make you ver think. I hope they can have a good chat about that.

Brilliant work x

Author's Response:

Brian's gang don't really mean any harm, but they haven't figured out yet that Justin is more than just a client to Brian.  They'll learn.  Justin, in the meantime, knows that he needs to learn more about Brian in order to be more fully connected to him.  He's really smart for one so young.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Yeppie jumping around clapping my hands they finally beck together. Ted is such a good friend helping Brian get Justin back to the offie and what a meeting again. Very hot and sexy and sweet. Golly gosh I hope Justin moves to Pittsburgh to be with Brian.

Dreamy chapter xx

Author's Response:

I figured that my readers deserved a chapter like this after all the angst I put all of you through.  But now that the air has been cleared, it's time to see just how far this relationship can go.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 10, 2019 08:50 AM · On: Questions Need Answers

Gosh the universe is playing games keeping them apart huh but I think it will make their seeing each other even the better I hope. A good talk about communication is needed both as stubborn as the other lol. I can’t wait to see them reconnect.

Fabulous work x

Author's Response:

Finally, there is a reconnection... of sorts.  At least maybe some of what has caused this break between them will come out.  As you said, these two belong together without any misunderstandkings.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 10, 2019 08:04 AM · On: Missed Connections

Gosh I can feel both their frustrations as to not hearing from each other. It’s so hard when things go against you. I do feel for them so much so I do hope something can happen to bring them together again. They are meant to be a wonderful couple. I’m so happy for Justin that his mother was accepting he really needed that.

 Wonderful chapter x

Author's Response:

Jennifer will always accept her son.  That's the kind of mother she is.  As for our couple, this situation is becoming intolerable for both.  Someone needs to step up and get to the bottom of the problem.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 10, 2019 07:39 AM · On: Missed Messages

I want to kick the person who put that message in the wrong box, because look what you did. I feel for them both their hearts are hurting for nothing. I hope they connect soon because this could shatter them forever 🥺.

Excellent work x

Author's Response:

Sometimes life doesn't go as smoothly as we would like.  This is certainly the case here, with messages not getting through which could change everything.  It's going to be a bumpy ride for the couple for now.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 09, 2019 08:24 PM · On: Pleasure before Business

Oh no, Brian why didn’t you leave a voicemail or something. I hope Justin think you dumped or something. I can’t bare to think something would mess up what was just starting between them. I feel like something really bad is about to happen.

Brilliant chapter x

Author's Response:

Unfortunately, Brian is relying on the message he did leave at the hotel.  This is going to prove to be a big mistake.  It just might be that their relationship is too new to withstand a mistake like that.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 09, 2019 04:28 PM · On: Falling in Love, Maybe

Brian is definitely falling in love but he isn’t admitting to himself. Justin has though he is head over heals. I do feel something bad is going to happen the air is thick with something looming and after that call from Justin’s mum I’m worried.

Lovely chapter x

Author's Response:

Although Brian hasn't fully accepted it yet, he does recognize that what he is doing with Justin is unlike any other relationship he has ever had.  Justin, however, knows for certain how he feels and what to call it.  Brian is a little slower to get there.  And yes, there is good reason to be concerned about Justin leaving right now, unfortunately.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 09, 2019 02:36 PM · On: Justin Makes a Discovery

The morning after that fateful night I’m sure was a worry and Brian handled it just right. When Justin woke up and panic ran through him I could feel his struggle do I run or stay. That natural but I’m glad he chose to stay. The love making in the shower was very hot and steamy so thank goodness the water started to cool them down lol. I hope what comes next they take it step by step and deal with it right.

Brilliant x

Author's Response:

The barriers are down, but only time will tell whether or not they ever come up again.  At least for now, the couple are going to enjoy this newfound relationship without strings.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 09, 2019 01:57 PM · On: Safe in Brian's Arms

OMG poor Justin that creep I hope the kicking Brian have him scared him for life. I could feel the fear Justin felt not just for the attack but the memories from his past as well. I hope he can open up to Brian about them and maybe that would help him heal.

That was fantastic x

Author's Response:

Although that creep caused a great deal of trauma for Justin, and even Brian, his actions have opened the door to a whole new relationship between the couple.  And as Brian said, the guy probably won't even remember it in the morning, but our boys will never forget.  It's on to the future now.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 09, 2019 12:48 PM · On: The Start of a Night to Remember

They were both so cute together Justin nervous and it was visible but Brian was nervous but hid it and hid it well. I love them dancing around each other in a way up in the hotel room. Brian was a cheeky boy wasn’t he getting dressed in front of him knowing he could see his reflection in the window lol. My heart was hammering in my chest just like theirs was I could feel it that strong. Then the kids that melted me. I am now a puddle on my chair lol. Can’t wait for more 💕

Brilliant work x

Author's Response:

The barriers that each man had built up which prevented them from connecting all the way are now beginning to crumble.  Now, all they need is for something to happen to tear the walls down all the way.  I'm so glad you are still enjoying this story, Vicki.  Thank you for such great comments.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 09, 2019 07:30 AM · On: The Morning After

Oh my, I sure felt for Justin I gave never had a hangover because I don’t drink but I do get migraines and this sounded like what it feels like. Justin was so cute to remember and the flush to his face made me smile. Brian to was equally cute he is so caught by Justin it’s making his head spin lol. I cannot wait to see what is next for them.

Briliant work x

Author's Response:

I don't drink either, but when I was 22 and got married my new sister-in-law threw us a party and went out of her way to get me drunk.  It had never happened before, but I woke up feeling fine (but with no memory of the latter part of the night, which is why I never drank like that again).   I simply used my imagination as to how a hangover would feel, plus using all the scenes of people suffering in such a way that I've watched over the years.  LOL!  As for poor Brian, he is already caught up in his confusing feelings for his young protege, and time won't make thing easier for him to deal with.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 08, 2019 07:12 PM · On: Life Lessons One and Two

Brian has a life size real person Ken doll to dress and we know how much that man loves to shop. Justin will have a great time. I loved his blushing and his reactions around Brian it was so sweet. Brian really treated him well and it made me feel proud of him.

Fantastic work x

Author's Response:

I think Brian is getting as much enjoyment out of being a mentor as Justin is in being his pupil.  But this is only the beginning of their lessons.  Hope you enjoy the rest of them as they happen, Vicki.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 08, 2019 10:21 AM · On: Taking the Young Writer Under His Wing

Wow I loved this chapter so much. Listening to Brian’s thoughts not just on Justin and what he thought about him and his writing  style but on Justin the man. It’s exciting to see that he wants to get to know more about him and what makes him write like he does. Then you have Justin doing the same, I love hearing his thoughts on Brian. It’s like their brain are in sync even though they do t really know each other at least not in this lifetime. Maybe they knew each other in others and their sound are joining once again. That’s what it feels like, two beautiful souls coming together again. I’m excited to see what happens with the evening and their conversation about the manuscript.

Truly beautiful work work as always. Hope you have a beautiful day. Hugs my treasures friend 🌸

Author's Response:

Your comments remind me of one of my very favorite stories from Greek mythology.  In it, humans were born with two sides to them... 4 arms, legs, sets of genitalia, and two faces, each facing different directions.  One day the humans decided to challenge the gods and scale Mount Olympus.  As punishment for their pride, Zeus sent a lightning bolt that severed the two halves and scattered each half apart.  In this way, humans would be too busy searching for their missing half to continue their challenge with the gods.  In some cases, the halves were of different sexes and in some cases were of the same sex.  But in all cases, humans either had to find their other half so they would finally be complete again as lovers or be condemned to accepting someone else's half for the rest of their lives.  When I write my romance stories, I always think of that legend.  Brian and Justin are the epitome of the legend.  This chapter is to show that they somehow sense this connection, but it will take a little time to understand it.  I'm so happy that you are finding this story interesting.  Thank you so much for your fantastic comments.  Hope you have a lovely day too.  Mine has started out great seeing your review.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Sorry for the delay in reading this chapter I had a diabetic eye test so I was blurry for a few hours lol.

I loved bed this both in their heads talking, I loved hearing their thoughts about each other. It’s amazing they had the same ones running through their minds. Both slightly insecure as to how they thought they other would feel about them. Both have dad issues. I think it’s fantastic that Justin handed over his writing and trusted writing with Brian. Can’t wait for more of this amazing story c

Author's Response:

Absolutely no apologies necessary ever, Vicki.  You should always read at your own pace and I'm more than happy to wait for any comments coming from your thoughtful brain.

You will find, as time goes on, that there are lots of similarities between Brian and Justin as well as daddy issues.  This will go a long way in helping them to connect more and more as they get to know each other better.  Step one for Justin is with him showing Brian trust with his manuscript.  It's a big step for the young man with serious trust issues.   Huge hugs, Grammy

P.S. I just had my diabetic eye test last month and the news was not perfect, but also not that bad.  I hope yours went well too.

I can understand Justin’s reluctance in doing the tv spots but I think he should, it would the best f-u to his dad. Plus I bet his fan base would grow even more. I get the feeling that Brian is already really wanting to know him better.

Excellent work x

Author's Response:

There is just some kind of chemistry that seems to spark every time Briand and Justin meet for the first time.  But of course, in this case Justin is the one who is way too cautious about involvements.   He is leery about opening up to anyone thanks to his father's constant betrayals.  Maybe that will change as he gets to know Brian better.  I want to thank you again for checking out another of my stories.  I am so excited to know how you feel about this one.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: September 06, 2019 08:35 AM · On: A Young Man's Ambition

Yeppie another long story from you. I was instantly hooked reading this chapter. Justin should be so proud of himself firmly getting away from his dad then creating his own life that he wanted to do. Getting out there on your own is hard and he did it. I think everything happens for a reason and meeting Dan while working sure was proof of that. I loved Dan picking Brian’s company to help promote his publishing house is brilliant. This might our boys will meet.

I wonder will Dans wife ever find out what went on before Justin came to his rescue.

Fab work.

Author's Response:

I decided it was time to give Justin a different artistic skill...  painting with words.  And of course, he is just as talented with words as he was with a paintbrush.  He was just super lucky to have run into the best kind of break for his future when the owner of a publishing house needed help.  Don't worry about Dan.  He may not be as honest with his wife as he should be, but he really is a decent man at heart.  And he has high hopes for his young protege.  He is also a brilliant businessman, hiring Brian Kinney to advertise his business... lucky for you young Justin.  LOL!  Huge hugs, Grammy

Author's Response:

How wonderfully thoughtful of you to comment on this old story, TAG.  I had so much fun turning Justin into a writer, the way he inspired so many of his fans to become themselves.  Thank you very much for letting me know that you have enjoyed this work.  I greatly appreciate it.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Such a sweet Brian in this story. I loved how he was so much more open to love. I miss artist Justin though - maybe he could write and then paint a little on the side? LOL. Thanks for writing. TAG

Author's Response:

I wanted to bring out the softer side of Brian with this story, but he still stands up to bullies.  That's our Brian.  As for Justin, I was fascinated by the idea of him being an artist who uses words to paint pictures, as that is how I see writers in general.  I can't draw a straight line to save my life, but I try very hard to provide images that my readers can see with their mind's eye as if they were actually looking at the scene, just as we do with a scene in a beutiful painting.  I'm glad you enjoyed this story, TAG, and thank you so much for commenting for me again.  Warm hugs, Grammy

Thank you for such a beautiful love story, grammy!
Seems to me, though, that Justin isn't the only one who can write the 'great american love story'...

Author's Response:

You are absolutely a sweetheart, Soul1essharpy.  Thank you for such wonderful comments.  I was intriqued by the idea of Justin as a writer rather than illustrator.  We all know how good he is with words.  After all, no one else would have been able to talk their way past Brian's defenses against love, wouldn't you agree?  LOL!  Thank you very much for checking out this story.  I really enjoyed writing it.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

Author's Response:

You are most welcome, Chris.  The next story I'll be writing will be the sequel to this one in which Justin will need all the support he can get from Brian as he tackles his first non-fiction book....an expose' of the hypocrisy of politicians & others who use their power to promote anti-gay legislation when they themselves are buried deep in the closet.  I hope you will join me then.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Mandagrammy, I saw this story appear on the bj fic site and I scrambled over here to see if it was on the site and hopefully a complete story.  Boy, I was one happy camper.

<sniffle, wiping away tear> The was beautiful, touching, and I got misty at the wedding.  Soooo glad Craig got a punch in the mug - grrrrrr!

I'm such a big fan, loooovvveee your work, and really enjoyed this fic.

Wonderful, lovely, and so romantic.  Just perfect!

Well done!  Bravo! Encore!!

Author's Response:

What an absolute pleasure to see you here, Bigdogz.  This is a particular favorite of mine and I am so very happy you got to read the whole thing and enjoyed it so much.  Your comments are simply beautiful and I appreciate them so very much.

It is interesting that you mention Encore.  As soon as I complete my ongoing story 'The Heat is On', which I'm working on right now, the next story I start is the sequel to this one.  In it, Justin goes from writing romance novels to working on an expose non-fiction about closeted politicians who use their power to keep the GLBT world down, such as sponsoring and passing anti-gay laws.  I think it is a timely subject since it is happening in real life all the time now.  I hope you will join me then.  Huge warm hugs, Grammy

Loved the story very much and it's redundant but love your writing too.

Author's Response:

Believe me when I say that I would never take the lazy way out and skip to the end of your unbelievably fantastic comments if I wasn't so pressed for time right now, JT.  I do have to tell you, however, that once again you have brought me immeasurable happiness with all that you have written.  Trust me, I read every word.  Your comments are like a cool breeze on a hot humid day.  They literally revive me.  I loved every one of them and I am more than happy that you liked this story.  I am going to tackle virgin territory for me in the next story I start up as soon as my move is complete.  It is the sequel to this story and is called, 'The Story Teller: Crusade'.  It is about a touch subject in today's society...the discovery of so many politicians who are closeted gays that have worked tirelessly against the gay community.  This is a subject dear to my heart as I hate hypocrisy with a purple passion and anyone who is in a position of power and can use that position for good and instead, use it to hurt the very people they should support the most.  I just hope I can do such a touchy and important subject full justice.  Oh, there will also be a bit of danger again.  I just can't seem to help that.  LOL!  Again, thank you for everything.  Your friend, Grammy

I love the way you take Brian and Justin, altering them only in the slightest of way, and then fit them so seamlessly into an AU in such a way that it doesn't seem AU at all.  :)

I am so happy to know that I was able to give you a good laugh at work.  I spent 30 years on a manufacturing line and can well remember how welcome a good laugh was to break up the day.  I needed an image of time dragging by painfully and this was about as slow as I could make it.  LOL!  I want to thank you for the terrific compliment.  I don't like to mess with Brian and Justin's innate personality too much because...well why mess with perfection, but I love to put our lovers into different scenarios.  I'm so glad you are enjoying this one.  Again, thank you very much for letting me know what you think HalfTime 1030.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

Yeah...Brian is my hero und Craig finally got what he deserve.

And I so love the ending, because of Brian and Justin are husbands. *sigh*

An amazing story written from an amazing woman.

Thanks so much,big hugs,Meggi

What a wonderful treat for me to find your review after having completed this story some time ago.  I can't tell you how happy I am that this story is still being read.  It is particularly close to my heart.  Thank you so much for making my day Meggi.  Craig Taylor will never be allowed to destroy Justin as long as Brian is close by...not in my stories.  LOL!  Big huge hugs, Grammy

This was a wonderful ending. I love how everything worked out and how happy the boys are. This story was amazing from start to finish. With everything not working right for me right now every update was a bright sport. Thank you so much for this wonderful story Grammy. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

It saddens me that life is kicking you in the teeth right now Jackie, but I pray for better days ahead for you.  If my stories help in even the littlest way then I am doubly glad I've written them.  Thank you so much for all your support.  It truly means the world to me.  Much love and comforting hugs, Grammy

My dear Grammy,

I started reading this story in the morning today and couldn´t stop until I was finished. That is truly one of your best. It´s what I call a romantic story. We started with two lonely lost souls trapped in their way of living. Then they met and their lives started to change to blossom. They allowed and encouraged each other to experience life and love. Love was what they were missing the most. With that finally in their lives they were able to trust and be confident. Of course a bit of angst belonged there too. What would life be without it? Like Justin said "Let's just say that we taught each other what love is.” That´s the most difficult and most important lesson there is to learn in life.

I call it romantic because you never crossed the line to being too schmalzy or schmoopy. They weren´t running around calling each other baby or honey and weren´t crying all the time. They behaved like grownups who were in love for the first time. I appreciate this very much. At the end of the story Brian says to Justin “You paint pictures with your words and make people see the beauty you see with your own eyes” that is exactly what you´re doing too, Grammy.

I have one question: Somewhere you mentioned Craig going on his honeymoon and taking Molly with him. In the last chapter you said about Craig “His latest girlfriend was still working so he knew he would have his new apartment all to himself.” What happened to his second wife?

Now I´m waiting for Trapeze and I just know that it will be a great story again.

Big huge hugs,Sunny

Author's Response:

My dear Sunny, this is so funny since I was right in the middle of writing an email to you in response to your last letter.  I notice I have a new review on MW and I had a feeling it was you.  You know it made me happy when I saw I was right.  Now, you little stinker, you caught me.  I think this is the first time I have ever lost track of what a character was doing.  You are 100% right about Craig.  I did marry him off in Chapter 18.  Shows how well you pay attentiion to what I'm writing.  Too bad I had a Senior Moment there.  LOL!  I will have to edit that final chapter to include a bit to explain that Craig is in a new apartment because of his second divorce.  Short marriage!!! LOL!  Thank you so much for giving me a heads up on that goof.

Now, I must tell you how very much I appreciate your more than generous comments about my stories.  I think it helps that I run the scenes in my head first before writing them down, almost like watching a movie.  It helps to make it easier to describe what I'm seeing.  And yes, I do enjoy the sexy images the most.  I'm a naughty old woman like that.  I admit it.  LOL!  As for being schmaltzy or too gooey with our boys, I like to respect the fact that they are both very masculine men.  The one thing I noticed is that they never used those kinds of endearments with each other on the show.   The other guys did ocassionally, but not Brian and Justin.  Sunshine is, of course, the exception.

I sure hope you do enjoy 'Trapeze' since you are again the inspiration for it.  I have the opening scenes already completed.  I must warn you, this one will have more than one moment of angst but you know me well enough to know that romance will still be the deciding factor.  Now, keep an eye out for your email.  I've got quite a rant going in it for your eyes only.  LOL!

Big huge hugs back to you, Grammy

My dear Grammy,

I´m so thrilled to see the final chapter of this story. I`m going to read it over the weekend. And I´m so excited to read the first chapter of Trapeze. I just know it´s going to be wonderful as always. I´m also curious to see the banner Amy created for the story. She´s always doing such a great job.

I wish you a wonderful day and talk to you again as soon as I read The Storyteller.

Big hugs, Sunny

Author's Response:

My dear Sunny, I can hardly wait to hear from you.  You know how important your opinion is to me with my stories.  As for 'Trapeze', I've already got the beginning moving.  Ooooh, it's going to be a bit intense at first, but it won't take long for our boys to lay eyes on each other.  Amy's banner is a little simple this time because she had a really hard time finding just the right background and she really tried to get out boys into tights but simply wasn't able to do it.  At least they look like they are a part of the era I chose.  Well now, you have a great weekend hon, and don't let any negative vibes disturb it.  I'll be sending my best vibes your way.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

craig got what he deserved even if brian stopped at one punch. not only did he get punched out, but he lost the chance to have two wonderful men in his life. serves him right.

Author's Response:

My dear Sherrie, I admit it...I'm a hopeless romantic and have been for over 5 decades.  I can't imagine anything else but a happy ending for our beautiful lovers.  As for Craig...well I really did want to have Brian beat him to a bloody pulp, but that really isn't Brian's style.  Even in the show he would get even with someone non-violently (ie. the judge, Stockwell, his old boss, Ethan, etc.)  The worst thing he ever did was slamming the locker door on that athlete's hand in school when he was younger.  I figured that threatening the pompous ass was enough with just one last satisfying blow for the outrageous comment about AIDS.  Have to admit, I enjoyed it as much as Brian did.  LOL!  Thanks so much for your support of this story from the beginning.  I truly appreciate it.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

Welcome back Grammy! Loved this chapter, I'm glad you did an update to this story.

Brian and Justin are too cute for words. Love that Brian laid down the law with his friends about Justin.

Seems as though they both are having the same fear of rejection right now. Too afraid to make the next move, wonder who will make that next jump first.

Author's Response: I am so happy to be back Kat and what better way than to update one of my own favorite stories.  LOL!  I thought about expanding the talk Brian had to straighten out his friends on how things were going to be from now on but I wanted to concentrate on Brian and Justin being together and the thoughts that were going on between them.  The gang got the idea though, that's for sure.  Soon something will happen that will bring into sharp focus how much they need each other and then they will more than jump to the next level of their relationship.  Stay tuned for it my dear.  Thanks for commenting after having to wait so long.  Big hugs, Grammy

I'm so happy Brian opened up to Justin about his past and shared so many things with him. Its obvious they are both very much in love with one another.

Author's Response: The first step in admitting to himself that he is in love with Justin was opening up his past to him and now that he has done this the path to their future is a lot less blocked.  They have only one more hurdle to overcome but first they are about to make the whole world aware of how they truly feel.  Thanks so much for your comments Kat.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: You have hit on the most important aspect of their relationship in this story BlindDreamer.  Brian feeling safe in opening up to Justin is what has given Justin that sense of security in his relationship and will go a long way in protecting both of them.  Thanks so much for commenting.  Big hugs, Grammy

I'm so glad that Brian and Justin were able to talk and get everything out in the open. The picture of them at the carnival with their heads together laughing and talking is perfect. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the kind words Jackie.  The fun part for me in writing a scene is picturing it in my head first, which as you can tell by this chapter was delicious indeed.  LOL!  The fact that Brian felt safe in opening up to Justin is of utmost importance for their relationship and will lead to some wonderful places to come.  Hope you'll join me then too.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

Of course the gang doesn't think before speaking. It's a good thing that Justin trusts Brian and isn't jumping to conclusions. Great chapter. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response: As we all know, Brian's friends are never shy when it comes to talking about each other.  Justin, luckily, is a young man with a mind of his own and he believes in hearing directly from the object of his questions, not gossip.  This next part of being in a relationship is going to be a little difficult for Brian but we all know he can handle things when he wants something bad enough.  Hope to see you when the questioning begins.  Thanks so much for the wonderful comments Jackie.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: No no Rose.  That's the thing, Justin does trust Brian.  He trusts him to be honest with him which is why he is not asking questions of Brian's circle of friends or anyone else.  He just wants to understand this man he loves so much a lot better since he is beginning to realize that the Brian he knew in New York City may not be the full picture of who Brian is.  He has every right to ask questions if they are going to advance in their relationship and Justin isn't taking the word of someone other than Brian.  So take heart, Brian will have no reason to be angry at his young lover.  Thanks so much for your comments Rose.  Big hugs, Grammy

Its awesome that Justin is comfortable enough with his and Brians relationship to trust in Brian instead of jumping to conclusions because of what his 'friends' say. (god they are irritating and no where near as good of friends as they think they are)Great chapter!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for commenting BlindDreamer.  It is good to hear from you.  Don't worry too much about Brian's circle of friends.  I think with time they'll realize they can trust Brian's judgement.  Well, Michael may be another story but we'll have to wait and see with that one.  LOL!  Big hugs, Grammy

well it seems that brian's friends are showing their true colors. green, envious i suppose. i do hope that brian is honest and answers all of justin's questions.

Author's Response: I think the problem with the gang is that they don't know what to make of this whole thing.  They have never seen this side of Brian and it has thrown them.  Of course with Michael it is even worse.  He has always been #1 on the old speed dial and that is changing.  Green is definitely his color.  Brian is going to be challenged.  He has a lot of skeletons in his closet that he would just as soon leave there, but Justin isn't one for living under false pretenses.  Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens next.  Thanks so much for commenting Sherrie.  It's always a pleasure to hear from you.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

YEA!! The reunion has finally happened and all is well in their two person world (notice I didn't include the "family" in that world!). I'm so glad they got passed all of the confusion and missed signals of the past few days.

So, now its time for Justin to meet the family. Hmm, I really, really wonder why the reaction will be quite mixed and who might not react so well?! I just can't imagine who! ;)  ha ha!!

Author's Response: Yep, 'tis a mystery as to who will react positively and who negatively among Brian's circle of friends and family.  Guess you'll just have to come back to find out Kat.  LOL!  Seriously, I'm very happy to know that you enjoyed their reunion.  All is finally right in the B & J world and the sun is shining again.  Thanks so much for commenting my dear Kat.  Big hugs, Grammy

Hi Gramms, how are you????

Glad that Brian and Justin saw each other again and "renewed" their "love" !!!!!!!!

Thanks and more to come/////////////

Author's Response: Thanks for commenting Thess.  I'm doing much better now.  Hopefully it'll stay that way for a while this time.  LOL!  I think it was about time our poor boys clear up the misunderstanding, don't you?  Glad you enjoyed the reconnection.  Definitely more to come for the intrepid lovers as they explore Brian's world together.  Stay tuned.  Many hugs, Grammy

grammy,  wonderful reunion. hot and lovely as only these two can be.

quite a picture of them standing there naked in theie socks, made me chuckle.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed the reconnection Sherrie.  I think our boys deserved it after what they had gone through.  I cheated a little on the sock thing because I kept picturing that scene in the loft when the two were walking backwards with only their socks and  undies on...you know the time that good old Stockwell walked in and saw what was happening.  Loved the outraged look on the jerks face and the way our lovers got right back to what they were doing before the man showed up as soon as he stormed off.  LOL!  Big hugs, Grammy

Great chapter, I've missed this story!! So, I'm hoping that the next chapter is the "confrontation"??!! Can't wait for that, I hope that when all is said and done things will be ok.

Author's Response: I'm so sorry you had to wait so long for this chapter Kat, but hopefully that won't happen again.  There is most definitely a 'confrontation' coming up and all their questions will receive answsers.  Of course that will lead to a slew of more questions, but first things first.  LOL!  You won't have near as long to wait for the next chapter now that things have improved so much for me.  Thanks so much for your comments, as always.  Hugs, Grammy

Im so glad you have a laptop and it is easier for you. They are great and alot more convenient to use. Great chapter and I look forward to the next one where they will hopefully be together. I also look forward to reading your new story, what will it be about?

Author's Response: How wonderful to hear from you Jules.  The lap top has been my salvation.  My damaged leg made it impossible for me to sit at the desk computer for more than 15 minutes or so at a time which hampered online time severely.   I am unbelievably grateful for the gift that has improved my life so much.  I am so glad you enjoyed this chapter and the next one promises to bring a huge smile to the faces of Brian/Justin lovers.  My next story is called 'The Heat is On' and is based very loosely on the old movie 'Some Like It Hot'.  It is a mystery/thriller romance set in the 1930's.  Justin is caught up in a murder and runs for his life.  Brian is the detective who has been assigned the job of tracking him down since they think he is the killer.  He catches up to Justin and ends up trying to protect him from the real killer and expose the guilty party before it is too late.  The idea was submitted to me by one of my wonderful readers.  I loved the old Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, and Marilyn Monroe movie so I thought it would be quite a challenge.  Hope it works out well and I hope you will enjoy it.  Hugs, Grammy

i'd definitely agree that brian has a reason to hurry home. what is he planning though is what i want to know.

poor justin is afraid he'll go home broken hearted. brian won't let that happen.

Author's Response: Ahh my dear Sherrie, you won't have long to wait to find out what Brian has in mind for Justin.  A great deal is going to come to a head on this night.  I will not keep you in suspense for too long.  Thanks so much for your comments, as they are always a welcome treat.  Hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: I'm doing much better Jackie and I'll be sending you an email very soon.  Thank you for your kindness.  I thought about having our poor boys miss each other again but I thought that was too cruel after you guys had to wait so long for an update.  Don't forget to come back for the historic reunion in the next chapter.  Btw, guess where I got the name for Brian's receptionist.  Just my way of thanking you for all you've done for me.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: Isn't Ted a sweetheart?  He is a man of his word, but he is smart enough to know who the boss is.  LOL!  Of course gossip is a gay man's perogative so he won't be able to hold in the news that Brian has something special going on behind their backs once he sees the gang.  The reunion coming soon Alys.  Thanks for your wonderful comments.  Big hugs, Grammy

Seriously though take care!

Author's Response: Hey Suse, thank you so much for your wonderful thoughts.  I appreciate your kindness very much and you deserve some timely updates.  I am healing much better although I still have a ways to go, but now that I have a lap top I don't have to sit at the high desk that was causing so many problems for me.  I can spend a lot more time online now without physical stress so I am already moving along quickly with my stories.  I'll have an update for this one very soon.  Wouldn't want everyone to wait too long for this reunion.  Next up...the finale of DT:G.  Big hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: Believe me Kat, I had a devil of a time figuring out how Brian could make a call and Justin still miss it since he is all but sitting on the phone waiting to hear from his missing lover.  Luckily I remembered the time my Daughter dropped her cell into the tub by accident and it was beyond repair.  She lost all her calls and everything.   I figured if it worked for her, it would work for Justin.  LOL!  I'm glad you approved of Justin going to Jenn.  I thought it was time and he really needed his Mother.  More to come in the Pitts.  Thanks so much for commenting.  Hugs, Grammy

My Dear Grammy,

did I already mention that I´m a sucker for romance?

That´s what I call a love scene. When I read that chapter I unconsciously started  to hum  the melody of “ Love is in the air “ and when I recognized what I was doing I had to laugh. I´m taking again my hat off to your writing skills.

And Justin...he made me smile. He is so in love and walking on clouds Craig and his hurtful words didn´t matter to him anymore. He is so happy and I so wish that he won´t crush and burn when he comes back to the hotel and sees that Brian has left. I know that falling in love is the easier part and that trusting in love is much more difficult. Love gives them both the inner strength they need und I so hope that they don´t doubt the feeling they have.

Big warm hugs, Sunny

Author's Response: Thank you once again for your terrific comments Sunny.  I had to offer my readers a chance to see the very best in the growing feelings our two lovers are experiencing before I drop the bomb that will affect the future, but you must remember that in my world true love always conquers adversity.  So take heart and watch out for the bumpy ride to come.  Big warm hugs back at you, Grammy

Reviewer: Sunny (Anonymous) · Date: November 18, 2008 10:25 PM · On: Falling in Love, Maybe

My Dear Grammy,

what a way to end a chapter….from the writer´s point of view it was a stroke of genius. Keep your audience in suspence and they will come back for more.

From my point of view it was a cruel thing to do! Now I have to check the “most recent” page on MW every minute so I will get the next chapter the moment you post it. But I don´t have the time to do it so I just have to tear my hair and remind myself that life sometimes sucks.

I´m just kidding. That´s the way a chapter should end. Brilliant!

It´s certainly not a crash-boom-bang love story. That´s what makes it so romantic. Scenes like Justin laying on Brians chest listening to his heartbeat or Brian thinking that the only past worth remembering is the one with Justin in it are proof of it. They´re on their way...

Big big hugs, Sunny

Author's Response: Ah yes indeed Sunny, our boys are on their way.  I'm afraid a little detour is up ahead on the road to open love but take heart....most detours are only a temporary diversion.  I'm so thrilled to see that you had time to catch up on this story.  You know it is one of my most personal ones.  At least you don't have to wait for the next chapter as it is already here.  I'll check out your review on that one next.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

Another great chapter. Their ease with one another is just getting better and the sex is hot as usual. Justin needs to come clean to his Mom. He will be so disappointed when Brian doesn't turn up. Trouble is brewing on the horizon?

Author's Response: Thanks so much for checking this chapter out here Judy.  Hope your trip is going well.  ITA about Jenn, but I suspect the mother knows more than the son is aware of.  Trouble?  Would I make trouble for our intrepid lovers?  Mwwwaahahahaha (twirls moustache with nastiness)!!!  Big huge hugs, Grammy

Oh and for using 'oh snap' to annoy your grandkids. My mom is the same way, she loves to do that to my siblings with phrases she hears from the tv. haha

Author's Response: Thanks for your comments Jackie.  It seems that nothing goes easy for our beautiful boys, but the hardest won things are usually the most precious to us.  And isn't 'oh, snap' just the neatest comeback?  LOL!  I have a symbol for that on my IMer and I laugh every time I hear it.  I like it a lot better than the phrase from my generation...chill man, chill.   Big huge hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: Wonderful comments Sherrie.  The problem may be more to do with a misunderstanding than understanding, but as for seeing Brian again....does the moon follow the sun when night falls?  LOL!  Stay tuned for more on Jennifer too...and Craig will definitely not get the last word in his relationship with his son.  Thank you for everything Sherrie.  Big hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: Hmmm, you know those pesky phones Jackie.  Always interrupting the smooth flow of life.  The sad thing is that this is the usual case of misunderstanding that causes all the problems.  Why can't people just learn to communicate better?  LOL!  Next chapter coming up soon.  Thanks so much for your comments.  Btw, I love that phrase, 'oh snap'!  I use it on my Grandkids all the time which irritates them no end.  (That's why I do it...what a stinker I am!  LOL!)  Hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: Sunny (Anonymous) · Date: October 23, 2008 03:25 PM · On: Justin Makes a Discovery

My Dear Grammy,

especially that chapter reminded me so much of the fairytale „Sleeping Beauty“, because sometimes all you need is the perfect prince to kiss you awake. But who´s the prince and who´s “Sleeping Beauty” here?

I guess most people would say that Justin is SB and they would be right – partly. The GAY Justin was  not only sleeping he was barely existing anymore. He was hidden so deep inside that suffocation was threatening. But now he that senses hope to escape he´s feeling nervous and calm, excited and flustered, adventurous and determined,  free and most of all: ALIVE!

But Justin is also the prince giving Brian´s inner beauty, his ability to be caring, loving, supportive, protective and selfless the strength to shine.

As we all know even in fairytales not everything is sunshine and roses. You have to fight against evil stepmothers, witches and wizards and you have to kill dangerous monsters, demons and draggons before you can have your well deserved “happily ever after”.

So put on your armour, sharpen your sword and let´s take up arms.

Big big hugs, Sunny

Author's Response: Sleeping Beauty is a classic, one that I read to my girls many times when they were young, so to be compared to such a beautiful story is quite the compliment Sunny.  Thank you so much for that.  You have most assuredly caught on to the dynamics of Brian and Justin's relationship in this story.  They have not fully realized it yet but they are going to be both givers and takers with each other and it will give them the strength to earn the right to a 'happily ever after', as you put it.  But first they must learn more about each other.  That comes next.  Your comments, as always, are so welcome.  Big big hugs back, Grammy
