Great story, I am off to read the next instalment.....

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 25, 2019 01:50 PM · On: All Grown Up

Awe man this can’t be the end, I loved every word of this. I’m so proud of Gus for achieving getting his novel out there for the world to see. Then the proposal wow that made me giddy happy I hope we will get to see the wedding someday. And JR she really went for her goal and got good on her she is a power woman.

Brian and Justin should be so proud they did so good xox

Author's Response:

I am so happy that you enjoyed the sequel as much as the first installment of this story, Vicki.  Several years ago I had written about a half dozen chapters of a third installment that I called Double Trouble: Grandparents.  Then real life took over and many different issues (some health, some family problems) took over and my muse left me.  I stopped writing for quite a while.  I pulled the story from the sites, but I never threw it away.  I have now retrieved it and am slowly but surely working on more chapters.  This time around I want it completed before posting.  I would hate to start posting again and then have something come up to stop me like before.  I will promise to keep working on it and hopefully will have the entire story finished someday in the future.  Thank you so much for your wonderful support for this story.  It is very special to me.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

Wow that was amazing, good on Aron Noah for apologising to JR it was very heartfelt and sincere. That Alejandro is a right dick isn’t he. I’m glad she dropped him. He gave me the creeps from the beginning. I truly hope she gets with Noah.

Wonderful work x

Author's Response:

Alejandro is not so much evil, but simply not the right kind of woman for a gal like our JR.  She needs someone totally different in her life... and Noah just may be the one to fit the bill.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 25, 2019 12:16 PM · On: Noah Has an Epiphany

Good on you Noah I’m proud of you for going and talking so openly with your brothers. Please listen to their advice and stand up for yourself. Break free and live your own life the way you want to.

Fantastic work x

Author's Response:

Noah was definitely lucky to have such compassionate and understanding older brothers.  Now it is time for him to use what he has learned from them to make for a much better future for himself, which might include one lovely young lady.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 25, 2019 11:31 AM · On: Spring Break Begins

I sincerely hope JRs eyes are opened on this trip and see that this boy isn’t for her that Noah is.

I love Matty already and I hope the trip for Noah is a successful one and makes him happy, xxx

Thank goodness for this I was praying they would work it out fast and they did. I loved what Brian said to his son it was very Brian mixed with Justin lol. I want to throttle Tom so badly that no words are enough to describe it. I can’t wait to see what’s next for these two boys they are such an adorable couple.

Author's Response:

Now that Gus and Jason have come to terms with the issues that threatened them, they are ready to tackle whatever comes next... together.  Sounds a lot like Brian and Justin.  LOL!  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 25, 2019 09:44 AM · On: Decisions to Make

I’m sure JR will look after her brother and make sure he knows she is there for him. I still don’t like this guy she is seeing something isn’t right about him him. Noah he is a good guy and it’s his upbringing that had him the way he is. Maybe this break away to see his brothers might help him break free. I’m loving this story so much.

Author's Response:

The love between brothers and sisters in this story is of the utmost importance.  All four of these young people will always have each other's backs.  As for Alejandro and Noah, sometimes what you see on the outside doesn't fit what is really going on in the inside... the heart of them.  JR will soon find that out.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 25, 2019 08:34 AM · On: Dad's Know Best: Part Two:

Oh Lordy no, I can fully understand why Gus reacted like that I think I would have as well to be honest. I hope they work it out and fast because they are soulmates and need each other so badly.

Author's Response:

Have faith, Vicki, because we have to remember that Brian and Justin once had almost all of the same kind of issues to deal with and their experiences may prove invaluable.  One mistake doesn't have to mean the end when there is tremendous love between two people.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 24, 2019 07:59 PM · On: Dad's Know Best: Part One

Oh boy, this is not going to go down well at all. Trust is a big thing for Gus and keeping that from him was a huge mistake. I’m very worried about what’s going to happen now 💔

Author's Response:

Gus is just like his dad, Brian.  It took someone like Justin to be able to make Brian see that he could really trust a lover.  Gus wants the same thing, but Jason has made it hard for him to see it for now.  This is when experience will play a very important part in Gus's life and his future with Jason.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 24, 2019 01:42 PM · On: Trying to Forget Each Other

Hmmm I don’t trust this Alejandro, there is something about him I don’t know. I think JR could do a whole lot better then him. I loved her teasing banter with Brian and Justin it shows how close they.

Author's Response:

I think that there will be more to Alejandro than what is on the surface.  The question is, will JR feel comfortable with all sides to her new romantic interest?  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 24, 2019 12:51 PM · On: A Second Honeymoon for Dad and Dad

Those guys truly warm my heart and I need this now so thank you. I loved watching them go back to their honeymoon suite and just enjoy themselves. They need their time as well and to not have work or kids to keep them busy. You wrote a truly magnificent chapter here x

Author's Response:

I knew it was time to remind my readers that I haven't forgotten our beloved Brian and Justin.  Their love deserves to be front and center too.  So very glad that you enjoyed this special chapter, Vicki.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 24, 2019 11:25 AM · On: Old Ghosts Return

Oh Jason tell Gus right away this is a huge mistake keeping the info from him. They are so wonderful together and I hope they have kids in the future a nice big family. I hope Jason does tell him everything eventually I want them happy. Wonderful chapter x

Author's Response:

Like so many folks, Jason is afraid that the truth will hurt Gus and thinks it is better to omit it.  He rationalizes that it isn't really lying.  Looks like it's time for another talk with experienced Brian and Justin.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 24, 2019 10:49 AM · On: A Disturbing Revelation

I can’t blame JR for her reaction but I think she may have wanted to get him to explain more and hear him out. However I do think I would have reacted like she did.

My heart aches for Noah, being brought up in a household like that has got to be suffocating for him. That amount of pressure on his shoulders can be way to much. His brothers found the strength to walk away I hope he does to after seeing how his father treated them as well.

I actually want to hug him.

Author's Response:

JR is a feisty one and very protective of her loved ones.  She didn't have time to reflect on where Noah was coming from.  She simply couldn't tolerate what she was hearing him say.  As for Noah, he senses his Dad is wrong, but he hasn't yet been able to stand up to him.  Give him time.  At least he knows that his brothers were able to do so.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 24, 2019 10:18 AM · On: School's in Session

JR is taking a bit from each of her dads and mother with her confidence she has which will do her some good I’m sure navigating College life. I hope her heart doesn’t get broken by Noah and tat she trusts her gut with everything.

Gus and Jason are serious hot aren’t they boy girl you get my phone on fire.

Author's Response:

JR is in for a bumpy ride with her interest in Noah.  But at least she will also have the support of her Dads just as Gus does.  Sorry about the overheated phone.  LOL!  The boys just can't help themselves.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 24, 2019 08:43 AM · On: The Voices of Experience

I’m so glad Gus went and spoke to his dads and that he knows that he can talk to them about anything. His little lost boy tone tone in his voice all about Just broke me. They both gave their son really good advice which I hope works and saves the love the boys have.

Fantastic chapter x

Author's Response:

The advantage of experience is that you can help your young ones when they need it most.  That is exactly what Brian and Justin can do for Gus and Jason.  They will always be there for Gus any time he needs them.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 24, 2019 08:22 AM · On: Reflections on a Mistake

That feckin Tom I knew from the mention of his name before I didn’t like him. That grrr he is evil isn’t he. He better be glad I’m not in that story or I’d deck him. I do hope our boys will be ok and that their love will survive x

Author's Response:

It looks like Gus will have to face the same kind of challenges that Justin did with Brian.  Only time will tell how strong their relationship really is.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 24, 2019 08:09 AM · On: Who is That Grey-Eyed Mystery Man?

JR is a feisty one so a pastors son Lordy lol. I hope he works out for her as she has a huge heart as well. I think her dads will be watching him like a hawk.

Author's Response:

This isn't going to be easy for our young lady.  He's the son of a Pastor who has some warped ideas about certain human beings and loves to be in control of everyone.  Doesn't bode well for their future right now.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Author's Response:

Good people deserve to find happiness with someone who is their perfect match.  Doesn't always happen, but we'll see if it does for our young folks here.  Huge hugs, Grammy

JR is definitely going to be a women to be reckoned with. She will rule her world. Her life’s journey will be interesting to watch and this grey eyed young man who caught her her eye intrigues me. I’m loving this and looking forward to hearing how this plays out.

Author's Response:

I thought it was time that JR had an interesting young man come into her life too.  It can't be all about Gus forever.  LOL!  Now it is time for the girls to stand out in our story too.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 23, 2019 11:28 AM · On: Graduation Day, the Girls: Part One

They are going to have an empty nest soon that won’t be easy for them. They have done such an amazing job with the kids and should be very proud of themselves. It’s going to be interesting to see how they all get on living outside of home.

Author's Response:

The one thing that Brian never thought he would face is 'the empty nest syndrome', but he will always have Justin to help him deal with it.  However, as with all parents, you never stop being a parent even when the kids are grown.  They will still be needed many times over.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: August 23, 2019 07:21 AM · On: Graduation Day, the Boys

What a wonderful graduation and how thoughtful of Brian to make that stop for Gus and JR that I bet more then words could say. They have such a bright future ahead of them and lives to build.

Author's Response:

It has been an adventurous four years for Gus and JR, who are now firmly at home in the lives of Brian and Justin.  As for B & J, they have turned out to be excellent parents.  They will still be a large part of their kid's lives as they begin to navigate the adult world around them.  I'm so pleased that you are reading this story again.  Thank you very much, Vicki.  Huge hugs, Grammy

I’m so sad to see the end of this story as I never wanted it to end. You captured every beautiful side to them. I loved Gus’s passion in trying to find his books and Jason’s love in helping him and reassuring him. Noah and JR are so cute together and my love of them all is strong. You have brought characters to life and made me love them. Thank you for writing this story xxx

Author's Response:

I am absolutely thrilled that you have enjoyed my DT stories, Vicki.  I am hoping that I will be able to finally complete the third story which I began quite a long time ago.  It is called Double Trouble: Grandparents.  If I can finish it, I hope you will join me in the continuing saga of Brian/Justin & Gus/Jason & JR/Noah, along with all their friends and family.  I appreciate all the wonderful comments you've left me.  Thank you so very much.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Way to go Noah for talking to JR that took some guys and I’m very proud of him for doing that. I am so delighted that JR listened and took it all in from him. Wow waaaay to go JR standing up to that creep and dumping him as your boyfriend he truly wants someone to control not a bride who is equal.

Author's Response:

This was such a fun chapter to write.  JR spoke up for all women who have men in their lives who want to control them.  And she is just beginning to see that Noah might be the one she should have been with all along.  Hugs, Grammy

Noah’s trip to his brothers and their family was so moving. He really needed that and I hope the love and power they gave through that love carries him through with what he needs to do. Noah needs to break free and be himsisbd let himself be happy. I hope he can get to talk with JR and that she listens to him and understand Ms. This was so powerful and fantastic x

Author's Response:

This trip for Noah has proven to be the best thing he has ever done, so far.  Now it is time for him to take what he has learned and change his life for the better.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Justin and Brian get hotter and hotter don’t they and I love their love so much. You really write them so beautifully. I don’t trust the guy JR is with he sets off my creep meter. I do love how Noah greeted his brother Matty and I hope his brothers can help him break free from his dads clutches and teachings.

Author's Response:

One of the best parts of writing Britin fics has to do with showing how much love they have for each other.  As for Alejandro, your instincts just may be perfect.  And Noah is finally with men who will open his eyes to the truth.  Hugs, Grammy

My heart is breaking for Gus and I hope that this can be sorted very soon. Hmmm I don’t trust Alejandro there is something very shady about him.  I hope the reunion between Noah and his brothers goes well I think he needs this more than he knows.

Author's Response:

Gus is in a lot of pain right now, but time may be the healer.  As for Alejandro, yes there is more to him than what he shows on the surface.  And as for Noah, his brothers are exactly what he needs right now.  Huge hugs, Grammy

I’m so happy that Jason won that award but oh dear he should have told Gus about working with Tom. Going to Brian and Justin for advice was a good idea so I do hope that the talk will help and that things will be ok.

Author's Response:

It is so true that keeping secrets can be just as harmful as telling outright lies.  But at least Jason knew who to go to for the best advice.  Brian and Justin have gotten this parenting thing down pat by now.  Hugs, Grammy

I now feel for Noah, he brain is so confused and his dad is in there sprouting that hates I hope he can break free of it. This new guy seems nice and JR seems happy with him. I hope all can be happy as they all need joy in their life.

Author's Response:

Noah is one of my favorite characters to write because he is so complicated.  His brain says one thing, thanks to good old Dad's indoctrination, but his heart is saying something entirely different.  As for the new guy, not everything is as it appears.  Hugs, Grammy

What a way to melt my heart. These two just get better and better and hotter. I love how you are writing them so in love and their togetherness shines through your words xxx

Gus is so romantic doing that for Jason, I do hope their future is bright and loving. I do fear not mentioning Tom was a mistake and that Tom is hiding something. I’m loving Gus and Jason together. I hope they start a family xxx

Author's Response:

I agree that the lie of omission can be just a deadly as an outright lie, but only time will tell how much damage Jason's decision will cause.  Hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: June 12, 2019 10:44 AM · On: A Disturbing Revelation

Oh I want to hug Noah so bad. He needs to talk to JR again and explain everything. He is brainwashed by his dad and he needs to think for himself.

Author's Response:

As noted, it isn't that easy to shrug off a lifetime of indoctrination, but maybe being with someone so different than his father will help Noah.  Only time will tell.  Hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: June 12, 2019 08:28 AM · On: School's in Session

I think maybe Noah could be gay and afraid to say it out over his dad being apart of the church. I do hope JRs heart isn’t broken. I love Gus and Jason they are so cute together so I hope they get married and have a big family. I’m loving this story so much 💕💕

Author's Response:

Oh, Noah will have things to deal with regarding his family, but being gay isn't one of them.  But you'll learn a lot more about their family as the story continues.  Gus and Jason do have a great connection, which will take them far into the future.  Hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: vic32 (Signed) · Date: June 11, 2019 05:20 PM · On: The Voices of Experience

Gus is so lucky that he can talk to his dads about anything and they truly helped him a lot. He needs to have a frank conversation with Jason. Jason needs to find out how far things went that night because Tom took advantage of him and if things happened isn’t that assault.

Author's Response:

Gus definitely did the right thing in going to Brian and Justin for guidance.  Their past experience is now becoming invaluable.  As for Jason, his feelings of guilt have clouded his thinking, but there is more about Tom later on.  I promise you that.  Hugs, Grammy

I’m so mad at Jason for doing that and I’m wondering did this other guy stage anything to make it look like they did something. I hope the boys will be ok.

Author's Response:

As with most relationships, even the most loving, there are those moments when the bumps in the road are hard to take.  This incident will be the first true test of just how strong their love is for each other really is.  Hugs, Grammy

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Vic.  Noah will turn out to be a very complicated character indeed, but one worth getting to know.  I can tell that you realized why I was having Justin bring up the stalking idea.  LOL!  I thought that would be fun.  Brian and Justin are learning that parenting doesn't end just because your children become adults.  Hugs, Grammy

Gus and Jason sounded like they had a thrill magical holiday they needed that before their working life starts. And JR she is a smitten kitten isn’t she.

Author's Response:

It's been a long, exhausting, yet exciting road for Brian and Justin as they helped JR to grow into a lovely young woman.  Now it is time for her to find her way in the adult world, just as brother Gus has done.  As for that mystery man, yes you will be seeing a bit more of him very shortly.  Huge hugs, Grammy

The previous four years have been a great learning experience in parenthood for Brian and Justin.  They've done a great job, as witnessed by the success their kids have made of life so far.  Gus and Jason are definitely still very much in love with other.  There will be bumps in the romantic road ahead, but life always offers such things so that we appreciate the good times when we have them.  Hugs, Grammy

Thank you for answering my earlier question. Finally got a chance to read this sequel to your prior great story. I have to ask - how do you manage to keep up the momentum when writing a sequel? I fear that I would lose something if I tried to keep writing after the crux of one of my stories was resolved. Help, I need your advice since my readers are begging me for a sequel to my current story! TAG

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you got the chance to read this sequel, TAG.  As for it being a sequel, and how I managed to continue a story that had reached 'The End'... oh dear, I'm not really sure.  There are only two stories that moved me to write more with the same plot and characters.  One, 'All Aboard the Love Train' was my very first story, so when an Anniversary came up, I decided to do a single chapter story to add to the original... sort of like an epilog episode to a television series.  That actually is a good way to describe a sequel in a fanfic.  It is really a case of either the writer loving the characters so much they don't want to let them go (as in my case with 'Double Trouble') or the readers clamor for more of the story.  It's no different than a TV series that ends up being successful, like QAF, so much so that it is renewed for more Seasons and they have to create more storyline for the exact same characters.

I actually started a second sequel to this story called 'Double Trouble: Grandparents', because I still found myself constantly thinking about characters like Jason and Gidget. and wanting to give JR a love life too.  Unfortunately I made the mistake of taking on 3 separate multi-chapter stories at the same time and began having health problems to boot, so I burned myself out on writing for over a year.  I pulled the unfinished second sequel so no one else would get into it and find themselves stalled.  Hopefully I'll finish sometime in the future.

My only advice to you about writing a sequel to the story you are referring to is... do you feel there is more about the characters and their lives that could or should be told?  Only do it if you feel you can't let go of your characters in the story and want them to have more of a life to tell.  If so, then the ideas will come to you.  I can promise you that.  I sure hope this helps you, even if only a little bit.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Didn't you start a 3rd story in this series? I was going to re-read it one day, but wanted to wait until you completed it, but now I don't see it anywhere.

Maybe I'm confusing this with something else, but I thought it might have been a BJ grandparent story...

Author's Response:

You are not confused, Kellydeer.  I did indeed start a third story in this series which followed up on B/J as grandparents.  Unfortunately, I had a number of serious issues to deal with in my real life for quite a long time, including health and family problems.   As a result, after far too many months of not being able to work on two of my chapter stories...this being one of them...I pulled the story so that no one else would get into it and find it incomplete.  I still have the finished chapters in my file and truly hope to get back to them someday.  I've only recently started writing again, but am concentrating on a different couple (Agron and Nasir from Spartacus) for now.  When I dp get back to the 'Double Trouble' story, I will only post it when it is completed so that there will be no danger of it getting stalled again.  I do appreciate you asking and apologize for the long, long delay.  Thank you so much.  Grammy

OMG Grammy I just loved this series you are such a wonderful writer your stories keep me enthralled till the end. I just loved how Brian realises that he is truely the man Justin knows he always was. Brian eagerly accepts the justification of his parenting skills could only be done because he shared the load with Justin.

I am sorry I always keep skipping ahead but as I said your stories enthrall me.

Author's Response:

I am so happy to hear that you liked this series, Chris.  I have a Part 3 on the boards and scheduled to begin very soon.  I hope you will join me as the young couples contemplate making a family of their own, which will make Brian and Justin the sexiest Grandparents on the planet.  LOL!  Thank you so much for all your support.  It is truly appreciated.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

BRAVO! Thank you so much for a terrific read Grammy. I'm so glad I took the time to find and enjoy this series.

Author's Response:

Looks like I screwed up again.  I don't know how I missed reviews from you again, Bob.  My life was in turmoil in May so I'm presuming that is why.  Please forgive my Senior Moments.  I really do appreciate all the wonderful comments you give me.  I've been busy for the last few months or so trying to get the family life back on track and I think I'm about there.  I've started writing again so I hope to post new work here again regularly.

I'm very glad you liked this series because I've decided to move ahead a few more years and write another sequel to it, only this time the young couples decide they want a family.  I'm curious to explore the possibilities of Brian and Justin as Grandparents...but the sexiest of Grandparents of course.  Being a Grandparent myself, I think it will be fun for me.  I hope others will like it too.  After all, loving someone and wanting to be with them in every way doesn't end just because you get a little gray in your hair.  LOL!  Thank you again for all your support.  Huge hugs, Grammy

The genius of your writing is the subplots you create rich in such detail with the human conditon. You never fail to entertain me my dear. You do it with entertaining examples and I poorly try to do it being all preachy like. Can't help it as a product of a firm Baptist background now enlightened about the truth. I recently shared some of my facts on homosexuality and the Bible on a Christian group online and the hate mail was flaming hot. They don't want to know the truth.

Author's Response:

I feel so lucky that religion was never such an issue with me while growing up.  My family always tended toward free thinking and making our own choices.  I'm a confirmed agnostic now after attending a Christian College, which led me to believe that it was man who created God(s) rather than God who created man.  I believe man did it to try and explain away all the things that they didn't understand or feared.  Of course, my mind is always open to everyone's ideas, because I do believe that anything in life is possible.  That said, I hate how religion is used to hurt and harm anyone else.  More people have died or suffered in the name of religion throughout history than from almost any other cause, if not for any other cause at all.  This is why I created Noah and his family, to show the harm that overzealous religion can do to others.  I really appreciate your comments on this,  I'm so sorry that you had to endure such hate for trying to open the eyes of the blind, Bob.  Warm hugs, Grammy

Hello Grammy, hope all is going well with the recovery and you're feeling better :)

I'm going a bit slow with reviews on this one. I've been trying to sort out a meal for my Dad's 50th birthday

~~~
Oooooo! We're going to find out what happened between Jason & Gus! Must read on.
Oh no! This Tom guy has just turned up :0 - A guy with a crush on Jason, Jason feeling crappy!! This could lead to disaster.
I'm gonna cry, how could Jason do that :( (He's just woken up)
Oh god hopefully B & J will be able to sort this out and Jason will figured out what exactley happened.
It was really heartbreaking this chapter Grammy! I thought Jason and Gus wouldn't do anything stupid and learn from B & J.
Hopefully next chapter will sort things out.
Author's Response:
My dear Carrie, I apologize for responding so late.  I developed an upper respiratory infection that knocked me completely off my feet for days.  I'm up now but only long enough to check reviews and mail.  Only bad thing about getting older is it takes so long to bounce back.   Grrrrrr!!!  Anyway, I'll be on my feet again soon, but now on to something more important...your review.  Thank you so much for taking the time to write all these.  They have made me so happy.  I knew folks would be upset when Tom stepped in and rocked the Love Boat between Gus and Jason, but what doesn't destroy a relationship sometimes mskes it stronger...witness Brian and Justin's love story.   The one good thing about bad experiences is passing on what you've learned from them to the next generation.  Brian and Justin can certainly do that for the young folks.  Big hugs, Grammy
P.S.  Hope your Dad had a wonderful 50th Birthday party and many more happy years full of good memories.
I've been reading this story over the past few days and really enjoyed it! Brian and Justin did such a great job with Gus and JR and I love that Gus wrote a book about his family!
Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed this story Kat.  It started out to be a tale that would show what great parents Brian and Justin could be and then took on a life of its own with wonderful characters like the Tyler family and lots of love to go around.  I'm so happy you were pleased with how Gus and JR turned out and what great parents our boys turned out to be.  And don't you think they should make a TV series based on Gus' book?  LOL!  Big huge hugs, Grammy
Whooowh! Preachers son, didn't see that one coming Grammy :)
That whole talk with B & J was just funny. I think my favorite line though was from JR 'DB, maybe you can help me. You've had a lot of experience with men'
I was about ready to fall over laughing, I could just picture Brians eyebrows raising in surprise and Justin giggling
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked that playful banter between Brian and Justin.  I have no doubt those guys would always have a sense of humor about their lives together.  Glad I caught you off guard with the Preacher's Son bit but it will complicate things in the future so watch out for a bumpy ride.  Poor JR.  Thanks for the comments Carrie.  Many big hugs, Grammy
Good grief! Jason and Gus are as bad as B & J! :)
And I sooooo knew JR was going to bump into that guy at the church when she couldn't find him as the hotel! It was fate.
Author's Response: I know Carrie, what you mean about Gus and Jason.  The apple doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to being in love...at least not in their case.  It's amazing where you can meet the people who end up being so important in your life.  I actually stole the idea of the bride leaving a purse behind with a Senior ring in it from my own life.  Unfortunately for me, I never got my ring back even though my bridesmaid did find my purse.  Unfortunately for my bridesmaid she didn't find an adorable hunk in the rectory either.  Sometimes fantasy is more fun than the reality.  LOL!  Thanks again for your great comments.  Big huge hugs, Grammy
The line taken from the show about being 'young and beautiful' was used beautifully Grammy. Getting an look at Brians mind, it's a very subtle way of showing just how deeply Brian is in love and how totally taken he is with Justin without have to give great big descriptions.
And oooooooo! Is this JR's man entering the picture?!?! Excitement :)
Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked that 'young and beautiful' part.  When I heard it on the show I always thought to myself that the beauty was as much on the inside as the outside and that time could not touch that kind of beauty.  Brian and Justin will always see each other that way, I have no doubt.  JR is in for quite an adventure with the mysterious stranger, but the course of true love never runs smooth for most of that family.  Thanks so much for your wonderful comments Carrie.  Big huge hugs, Grammy
Reviewer: welcome_earthling (Signed) · Date: February 14, 2009 07:57 PM · On: Graduation Day, the Girls: Part One
Oh thank god Ben seems better in this story :)
Nice to hear what hunter is doing and he's all grown up with a family of his own. I don't know why but I always kinda forget he's about Justins age in these future stories and not the teenager.
I can't believe Brian was so shocked Justin spanked him :) I'm sure Brian's dished it out enough.
I always knew Justin was the one secretly in charge of their relationship :) Poor Brian was just a sucker. I love that bit were Brian is debating if he should trust Justin and Justin looks innocent.
Author's Response: This is one of my favorite chapters to write because it clearly shows that time has not dimmed the playfulness between Brian and Justin which helped to make their love affair so much fun.  One of my favorite scenes from the show was when Justin was dancing on the table for Brian and ended up getting a spanking for his trouble.  I laugh every time I see that scene.  I know what you mean about Hunter but the truth is he is only about 4 years younger than Justin.  I knew he couldn't have children naturally because of the HIV status but I didn't think he should be cheated of a family of his own.  I'm glad you liked that part too.  I agree with you Carrie that in some ways Justin was very much in control of the direction that his relationship moved with Brian.  They actually were perfectly complimentary to each other in personality.  Thanks so much for the wonderful comments.  I appreciate them so very much.  Big huge hugs, Grammy
Final I've finished sorting out my e-books! I'm NEVER doing that again! So I'm here to review, yeah! Carrie
~~~

Ok so I've only read the first 3 paragraphs so far and my reaction went like this. - Aw they've finish college and they are still together, Gus Sounds like he's turning into his Dad with fashion. Then the sinking feeling hit when Jason is taking about Gus forgiving him!! All that in three paragraphs! Ok reading on.

Brian dye's his hair! What a shock :)

Author's Response: Congratulations on completing your task Carrie.  There is nothing more satisfying than a job well done.  I am so glad you have continued on with this story.  I'm quite proud of that little family.  You'll soon see why Jason feels the way he does but you'll have to read much further on to get the whole story, although the surface story will come out very soon.  Yep, Brian is certainly not willing to look gray haired...that just won't do.  LOL!  Thanks so much for your comments again.  I am thrilled to see them.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

soooo great.... where were you? I missed you :-)) rose

Author's Response: I'm so sorry to have been missing for so long Rose, but thank you for asking about me.  I am a diabetic with a number of other health problems to deal with too.  Unfortunately the diabetes has caused serious years long damage to my left leg and sometimes the pain in that leg is almost unendurable.  When I'm going through a bad spell with the leg I have to stay down with my leg raised.  It limits the time I can spend on the computer quite seriously.  I also have arthritis in my hands which prevents my being able to write out my stories long hand.  (Don't ask me why I can type for long periods of time without pain but I thank heaven for that blessing.)  To make a long story short, I've been under the weather for a bit longer than my usual bouts that normally only last a few days.  This is why it took so long to get this chapter out.  I'm trying to get back into the groove and am working hard (whenever my leg allows) on the next chapter of 'The Story Teller'.  I hope to have it up soon.  I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter and hope you will be back for the conclusion to this story which is coming up next.  Again, thank you so much for being such a wonderful reader.  Much love, Grammy

Author's Response: Thank you so much for those wonderful comments Sherrie.  Actually, that is why Noah pulled out the writing pad on the plane.  The dam has broken and he is a very intelligent young man who now is thinking for himself and he isn't going into this without a plan.  He just needed the right push to get out from under his father's heavy thumb and his wonderful brothers provided it.  Soon he can move on to mending fences with JR.  Stay tuned for further developments.  Big hugs, Grammy

brian and gus would not stand by and let anything happen to her. alejandro better watch his step. i'm sure gus is going to be hearing rumors about him shortly.

Author's Response: I tied to warn everybody.  Alejandro is of the old school where men think that women only come in two kinds...the good ones you marry and the naughty ones you play with.  He has definitely chosen unwisely with JR, but she hasn't caught on yet.  Give her time, and you are so right about the men in her life.  They would never stand by for such treatment of their girl.  Ah, Noah simply needs to get his act together with the help of his own siblings and maybe he won't be too late to still be JR's knight in shining armour.  Time will tell.  Thanks for your wonderful comments Sherrie.  Big hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: Oh Rose, I never forget my characters, especially one I like as much as Noah.  He has based his whole life on the teachings of his father who kept an iron hand on his youngest son, especially when he couldn't control his older boys.  But Noah has a good heart that simply needs the right person to open it wide.  And yes, Matthew is gay which is why the Reverend forbid Noah from seeing him.  Luckily the eldest, Jacob, who is also a preacher is nothing like his father.  Keep a close watch on the interaction between the three brothers which is coming up.  Thank you so much for your comments my dear.  Hugs, Grammy

Hi, Gramms. First, i want to tell you that i read all your stories- and i tried to post a comment, but for some reasons i can't post it. I don't know how many times i tried but to no avail. But rest assured that i read all your stories.

Tell Amy i love all her banners. Thanks. Gramms

Author's Response: You don't know how much I appreciate your comment Thess.  I never get discouraged if I don't get many comments because I often have trouble even getting onto the site sometimes.  Some hours of the day are worse than others.  Luckily I always get through eventually, but I'm sure I'm not the only one with this trouble.  I am so pleased to know that you enjoy my stories even when you can't say something about it.  It is truly heartwarming to me.  I will most definitely pass on your comments about Amy's work too.  She's only 14 so you know how proud she'll be to hear what you've said.  Thank you again.  Big hugs, Grammy

ok... so they brake up to taste life... to be with other men and learn to appreciate what they had or could have again... great idea but it makes me sad... I really liked them.. but I know, they will be together really soon again... great done as always..:-)) rose

Author's Response: Don't despair Rose.  They are not breaking up in order to try out other men, as Gus has said.  They are just going to spend time apart for a bit in order to reevaluate the strength of their relationship.  Brian and Justin know that they have never tested their boundaries and that is why they agree with Gus' decision.  If the couple can survive a separation then their foundation is strong.  I can promise you that they will learn just how strong they are very soon.  Thanks so much for your comments Rose.  Big hugs, Grammy

gus handled it way better than brian ever could or would. i'm glad he isn't like his father in that sense. i think he gets that from justin. yeah brian and justin have been there quite a few times, gus and jason have to learn from this like they did.

as for the brief glimpse of JR. i want to find out more about this weekend with her boyfriend.

Author's Response: You captured the exact thought I was having Sherrie.  As I've always said, the best and most lasting relationships in life are the ones that can withstand trouble and come out stronger than before. I knew it was time for our young men to be tested, just as Brian and Justin were so many times.  If they were meant to be together, they'll survive this intact.  Now don't worry about JR.  The next chapter is her turn and believe me, that poor child is going to be tested by fire.  Have no doubt of that.  Thanks for all your wonderful comments.  Big hugs, Grammy

Hi grammy, this story is getting so good. I can't wait for the next chapter. Also i love all of your stories that I have read. I'm glad you are feeling better cause miss you. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Author's Response: How very kind of you Jerri, and how thoughtful of you to write these lovely comments.  I'm so glad you are enjoying this story.  I love writing about Gus and the special relationship he has with his two dads.  I will do my best to keep writing stories that you can enjoy.  Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know how you feel.  Big hugs, Grammy

Hi Gramms, hope your fine right now coz i really miss your stories.

Its good that Brian and Justin are there to help Jason and Gus....

Author's Response: I am much better now Thess, and thank you so much for asking.  I missed writing with a passion but I'm back on board, I can promise you that.  Brian and Justin are full of sound advice based on a long history of surviving the romance wars so Jason really used his head going to them.  We'll soon see how Gus handles the problem.  Big hugs, Grammy

i don't know what to say about noah. it seems that his beliefs are in the wrong place. his faith too.

jr does need to take the chance on someone else and i think so far so good with alejandro. will have to wait and see.

brian and justin are a riot. how the kids put up with them is beyond me.

Author's Response: Noah, sadly, is the product of his upbringing but don't count him out yet Sherrie.  As you can see, he is beginning to question whether his upbringing is the right path.  And remember that not everything is as it seems.  Just a little heads up.  As for our long-time couple....hee hee, you just know they embarrassed those kids on an occasion or two.  LOL!  But I doubt if they could stay mad at them for too long.  Thanks so much for your comments.  They are so appreciated.  Big hugs, Grammy

i'm so glad you decided to devote a chapter to our men. yes this story is about gus and jr, but i like knowing how the guys are doing. thanks sandy. that they went to the same hotel where they spent their first honeymoon made it all the better.

Author's Response: You are most welcome Sherrie.  I figured it was time for our beloved boys to have their own special day....after all we can't let the youngen's have all the fun.  This is my special gift to all my loyal readers who deserve this treat.  And you know our lovers will still be celebrating in the same way on their twentieth.  Guarantee it.  Big hugs, Grammy

i love how they're getting along, but this tom is going to bring nothing but trouble go them. not only is jason the pride of the office, but gus has something tom wants. doesn't bode well, especially now that jason is keeping him a secret from gus."He knew that Gus realized how important Jason's job was to him so he convinced himself that Gus would appreciate not knowing something that might jeopardize Jason's job or their relationship. Let sleeping dogs lie, Jason told himself." that is so wrong. i thought part their relationship was based on honesty.

Author's Response:

You are so right Sherrie, about the honesty thing between Gus and Jason, and I really struggled with whether to have it remain Jason's secret.  I'm afraid I found it necessary for where the story is going.  In a way they are both keeping something from each other...Gus with Jackson's continual flirting and Jason with Tom as his co-worker, but neither means it in a harmful way.  But you know what they say about good intentions.  Only time will tell if they are able to weather this brewing storm.  Have faith.  Look at all the Hurricanes and Tornadoes that hit Brian and Justin and they made it through.  Remember that Gus questioned whether he and Jason had something strong enough to survive the way his Dad and DJ did.  Whether he likes it or not, he will find out eventually.  Thanks so much for your wonderful insightful comments.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: You are wonderful Judy.  I love how you haven't given up on Noah.  There is a lot more to the young man than what his father has tried to make him.  Hopefully JR will see that in time.  I told you I'd try and keep busy while you were away having the time of your life.  Hee hee!  I always keep my word.  But boy am I glad you're back.  Big huge hugs, Grammy

very powerful chapter. Sounds like JR needs to still like Noah, and drag him home to educate him, perhaps Justin can be the voice of reason that points some things out to her.

Looking fwd to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your comments Alys.  I wanted this chapter to strike home that not all things are as they seem.  Noah misunderstood JR and now JR is misunderstanding the heart of Noah.  Hopefully two souls can overcome their mistaken ideas.  Stay tuned.  Grammy

Author's Response: Yep, JR definitely has her Mother in her, wouldn't you say?  LOL! But not all things are as they seem.  Noah has a good heart.  It's just his upbringing that makes him look bad.  But you know what they say about the love of a good woman.  Hmmm?   Thanks so much for your comments Sara.  I appreciate it a lot.  Grammy

poor noah, to be living in that household. another homophobe to join the long list already involved with the kinney/taylor clan. no thank you.

i can understand jr's anger, but she doesn't know the whole story behind his thinking. right now i can't see it working out unless noah was to leave home and be honest with her. maybe even meet brian and justin. does he have mr. peterson/marcus as a teacher? wouldn't that be a surprise.

Author's Response: Poor Noah is so right.  We are often a product of our upbringing and this poor kid has been bullied by his.  But don't count Noah out.  Remember, he has two strong and loving older Brothers.  And his feelings for JR are pretty strong.  We all know that love is a stronger emotion than hate.  Only time will tell.  And thank you so much for your wonderful comments Sherrie.  I love to read them.  Btw, Gus isn't teaching anything Noah is learning, but the Professor just might have some lessons for the young man to learn outside the classroom.  Hmmmm?!  Big hugs, Grammy

it sounds like gus and jason dont use protection so if jasons mother hadnt told gus about jason not sleeping there how would jason of slept with gus, would he have put him at risk or come clean? brian and justins advice was great

Author's Response: Hey Sara, remember this line from the chapter..."Of course Dad.  Always am.  Always will be, especially after this."  This is Gus' reaction when Brian reminds him to always be safe...referring to using protection.  Actually I made it clear in the earlier story, 'Double Trouble', that Gus and Jason use protection thanks to Brian's wise advice.  We'll never know whether Jason would have been with Gus after coming home without getting caught, but I like to think his conscience would have bothered him enough that he would have been honest pretty quick.  I'm happy to know that you liked the advice by our older couple.  Nothing like experience to be a great teacher.  Thanks so much for your comments.  I appreciate them very much.  Grammy

our men have certainly learned alot in the past years, and who more knowlegable than them to give gus the advice he needed. experience is a wonderful teacher.

Aren't you the privileged one? Yours was the first story I've read in SF on the hotel's Internet.  This kinda reminds me of someone else doncha think except Brian wouldn't have apologised.  Poor Jason, a victim of his own stupidity.  We know it works out in the end but Gus will have to sort this out soon.

Author's Response: Oh Judy, I am shaking in my chair.  I am just so excited thinking of you in a town I love so much...San Fran-cis-co!!!!!!  I truly feel honored that you checked out my story first thing.  You have made my day, truly!  Have a blast there Judy.  The town is a tourist's dream...and not bad to live in either.  As for my story, oh yes Brian wouldn't have apologized...but he wouldn't have had to because he wouldn't have promised anything.   Sound familiar!  Stay tuned for 'wise advice based on experience' dad's to come.   Much love, Grammy

I wonder if Brian or Justin will kick Jasons butt for hurting their sonnyboy. Jason shouldnt have lied because it sounds like this Tom would have just loved to inform Gus where Jason really stayed the night so its just aswell Gus found out of Jasons mother, update soon

Author's Response: Don't worry Sara.  I have the feeling that Brian and Justin will be more than capable of handling the situation and being of help to Gus in dealing.  Jason certainly did learn the mistake in not being honest and upfront.  That was what Justin always loved about Brian....he never lied to Justin, even when Justin didn't like what he was hearing.  Update coming soon.  Thanks for commenting.  Grammy

jason is so sorry. gus is so hurt. i hope brian and justin, mainly justin, can help. justin's been there more offen than brian.

this was a very shocking and surprising chapter. can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your comments Sherrie.  I did promise to explain the hint I gave in the very beginning that there had been a bit of trouble between our young lovers once and I always keep my promises.  I think that Gus is wise enough to listen to his Dad and Justin who are experts in this kind of thing.  I'll try not to keep you waiting too long to find out how it plays out.  Hugs, Grammy

What doesn´t kill you makes you stronger. When you think the one you love is worth it you will work through everything together and come out of it - stronger as before. And Gus will get the best help and advices anyone can get from Brian and Justin. They really have pretty much experience in that department.

Great chapter as always.

Hugs, Sunny

Author's Response: I agree with you completely on everything Sunny.  This next chapter will show how important it is to learn from the experiences of ones elders.  Hee hee!  We all know that Brian and Justin had to learn to be together as a full fledged couple the hard way.  How handy that will be for poor Gus, who had romantic notions of neither of them ever making 'that' sort of mistake.  Ah, to be human.  Thanks so much for your comments Sunny.  Big hugs, Grammy

" if they were any other men i wouldn't take their advice, but we all know that they speak the truth. she certainly is one lucky girl.

Author's Response: I thoroughly agree that Brian and Justin have been through the attraction wars and know a lot about how to get a man's attention.  Who better to help JR now that she has finally found someone that she feels that special chemistry with?  But trust me, she's going to need their wisdom a lot in the coming months as she learns more and more about Noah.  Thanks so much for your comments Sherrie.  Hugs from Grammy

Grammy, one of the many things I love about your stories is your ability to paint vivid images of the scenes to put our fave characters in. This is one of those chapters.  Your descriptions of the graduation are so realistic and colourful. And who is this mystery man? Looking forward to the next chapter, as usual.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words Judy.  I didn't get to attend the graduation ceremonies at my own high school, but I'll never forget the day that my child graduated.  I tap into that memory for the scene.  I'm so glad it came across realistically.  As for that grey eyed mystery man...keep an eye out.  I don't think we've seen the last of him.  LOL!  Many big hugs, Grammy  P.S.  Thanks again for your help Judy.  You know I love you for it.
