I loved this. Revisiting these moments from Brian's POV and remembering how much he really did care for Justin.

Author's Response:

It is such a treat to receive comments on one of my oldest stories.  Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know that you enjoyed this one, Nickknack.  It is always fun trying to get inside the heads of such dynamic characters as Brian and Justin, and I'm glad you liked my interpretation of Brian's thoughts during that privotal Season.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

This was so perfectly in character. I loved how you managed to show Brian's deep emotions without letting him lose face even to himself. Very intuitive. Thanks for writing. TAG

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for these wonderful comments, Tag.  I love the complexity of Brian's character, especially when it concerns his feelings for Justin, so I'm very happy that you felt I'd captured him during that very important part of their relationship.  Huge hugs, Grammy

I was just feeling in the need of a little pick me up so of course I knew just where to turn.  The Banner caught my attention so this is where I landed.  This sure is a good story, I love the way you went thru every moment of their time apart and let us look into Brians heart.  His early years sure messed him up, I think his parents deserve a pack of badgers all their own!  I'm so glad I have this huge book shelf to turn to when I need a little boost.  So much nicer then sneaking around a dark alley hoping to score from some back street dealer.  Thanks!!  XOXOX

Author's Response:

My dearest Lori, you have no idea how wonderful it is to see something from you.   I'm hoping the new month will bring me the time and inspiration to get back to my writing.  I've missed it so much and missed hearing from my wonderful readers (you especially) that have always brought me so much joy.  I'm glad you chose this story.  It is dear to my heart.  Brian always told himself that he was one of those people that functioned best as a solitary figure, but Justin proved him wrong.  He has so much love inside him that had been stunted by his ice-cold family and it took the heat of his blond beauty to warm him back up.  I loved writing his thoughts on the whole thing.  Thank you again for bringing such a huge smile to my face.  Much love always, Grammy

:)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for checking out this story, JT.  I heard that song and actually cried because I was thinking of Brian all alone by his own doing.   I had quite a time trying to crawl inside his head during that important period of his life when Justin was only on the fringes of his day-to-day existence.  Thank you again.  Warmest hugs, Grammy
