Midnight Whispers
QAF Brian and Justin Fanfiction

So we finally met the love of Vic's life, what a treat. I had a real soft spot for Vic and always wished he had more scenes with Brian because you just knew there was a story to tell between them, so thank you for this. Once again Brian came through for Justin, who really did show us just how young and inexperienced he was in life when he ran off to New York. This really made me miss our beloved QaF family.

Author's Response:

Hi nicknack, and thank you for reading and I'm pleased to see that you enjoyed my first chapter.

I was soooo sad when Vic died because he was a mentor for Debbie's Lost Boys. I miss QAF as well

and I would love to watch the entire series again soon.

Shame on Justin for eavesdropping on Vic and Brian. Unless Brian tells him he'll never understand what is/was between Brian and Vic.

I always loved how that story line ended. I think that was one of the smartest, mature decisions Brian ever made.

This was a fun story. I miss Raul too.

Author's Response:

Justin is such a brat! I had fun writing this story and I'm happy to know you enjoy it.

Thank you for all your comments and kind words.

Oh yay Vic and Raul to the rescue. I am so glad Brian set his pride aside and accepted help.

Author's Response:

It's always great to know that someone has your back. That's what friends are for.

I appreciate you for reading and thanks for the  review.

I love your story where Brian finished his schooling with Debbie and ready for college where he will shine. Vic is truly a surrogate father with Raul.

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading. We can all exhale because Brian is going to be okay for now. I

appreciate your comments.

He's family. Sweet.

Jack better stay away. Really glad Brian wasn't there.

Author's Response:

Jack Kinney is a numbskull so Vic and Raul decided to teach him a lesson.

Actions speak louder than mere words. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Interesting Justin was in the cards 🤣 as if we didn’t know

Author's Response:

It was their destiny! Thanks for reading and leaving a review.

Nice day at Coney Island and Brian is already a little stud! And Miss Cleo learned a lot from Mysterious Marilyn. Debbie's remedy sounds disgusting, but if it works! I'm sad to read that there are only 2 chapters left but we have to find Justin in his hotel room. t was a beautiful parenthesis and a beautiful memory..

Author's Response:

Good morning! I appreciate the review and and thanks for commenting.

Mysterious Marilyn was one of my favorite characters from the QAF series.

Brian is young so we'll give him a pass for scoffing at Miss Cleo's (RIP) predictions.

It will happen a decade down the road but he'll will learn that that "denial ain't just a river in Egypt, lol!"

Brian had a ball at Coney Island.

Miss Cleo saw a lot more of Brian's future than she told him. Raul knew. But she did tell him that Justin was in his future and already he's fighting it. HA!

Lucky Kevin, he met the future Stud of Liberty Ave. Brian seems to have his condom/lube trick down pat early on.

Gotta love Deb. Hair of the Dog. They so deserved whatever she dished out. Poor Mikey couldn't hold his liquor. Can picture Brian juggling the eggs. Can tell his juggling skills didn't improve any if the night he first bought Justin back to the loft is anything to go by.

Author's Response:

Hi and it's nice to hear from you. Sorry about the delay between my post. RL hit me hard last month

but it's all good now. Thanks for hanging in there with me. Coney Island is not what it use to be when I was a kid but letting Brian experience it made me nostalgic for those good old days. Do you remember Miss Cleo from the Psychic Readers Hotline

and infomercials back in the 90's? She may have been a fraud but she sure was entertaining. I had no idea she died from cancer a few years ago. Thanks for reading and be safe.

So he met Justin. How sweet was he. Fifteen years later and he still likes to talk a lot. Ha!

Brian saw his dream car and made plans for what to do with his life. You go boy!!!

If he only knew that in the future he gets all three he'd be estatic.

Author's Response:

You know Justin. Once a PSA, always a PSA! Thank you for reading and

leaving the comment and review. As for Brian, he already knew that

that if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Thank you reading and commenting.

Hi I love that he got to meet Justin at some point! Wonderful wink! Raul and Vic can be proud of him. He's brave and he knows what he wants and we know he will get his corvette someday. I never tire of saying how much I love this story. Thank you you made my day.

Author's Response:

Thank you for your kind words and leaving me such encouraging reviews. I'm tickled pink to hear that

you enjoy my story. MUAH!

Hearing the things that eventually made Brian the man he is today is amazingly true to life.

Author's Response:

There were times when I was writing the story  that

I'd wonder if I was keeping everyone who was canon in character. I

appreciate your input and reviews.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: January 13, 2021 03:14 PM · On: Chapter 3 "Runaway Child, Running Wild"

So Brian learned his mantra not from Vic but from Raul.

Author's Response:

Exactly. Vic was caring and kindhearted and provided a sense of stability for young Brian. But adult Brian chose to emulate Raul's

confidence and style. As we know he was definitely a label queen, bought a loft, and chose to

drive a Jeep just like his flashy mentor. I appreciate the review and thank for reading.

Reviewer: sophiesmom (Signed) · Date: January 13, 2021 05:04 AM · On: Chapter 4 NEW YORK STATE OF MIND

So, it seems, Brian modeled his adult self more or less after Raul. Or, he lives with Raul's words in the back of his mind. Certainly took on his love of shopping.

Taking Brian to the Stonewall is going to be an eye opener for a young gay boy.

Wonder if this Brian will look at the Pride parade in Pittsburgh when he's older with distain after being at the Stonewall.

Author's Response:

Yes,  Raul was more of a role model for Brian and influenced several of his

future mottos and mantras. Vic played a more nurturing role in their relationship.

I appreciat the review and thanks for reading.

Reviewer: marie-france (Signed) · Date: January 12, 2021 09:57 AM · On: Chapter 4 NEW YORK STATE OF MIND

I love this chapter it made me laugh! And their complicity is so pleasant. Brian had great teachers! Thanks for the update. The banner is very beautiful!

Author's Response:

Hi and it is nice to hear that you enjoyed my latest update. And I agree 100%,

Predec2 did an awesome job on the banner. Thank you for your comments and the review.

This is so interesting and enjoyable.

So we have Raul to thank for Brian's mantra. Lessons learned and passed on.

Great just great. Felt like I was standing there in the room with them.

Ha, Brian's so cute wanting to make Vic feel better.

Hi and Happy New Year to you! I'm pleased to know you

are enjoying the story. Vic and his BF Raul are making

quite an impression on our young Brian. Thanks for reading

Hi In my comment for chapter 2 I didn't mean at all that Brian and Vic would have a sex affair. hell no !
But exactly what you are talking about in this chapter. Advice on being the best homosexual you can be. Get a good education to be able to live his life as he wants. Advice from father to son or older brother. And with Raul it looks like he's taken care of too. It's that time in New York without the rest of the family I was talking about and which you show off very well here. The moments spent together, the advice, the party too. It is really excellent! I will not stop saying how much I love this story and look forward to the updates.

Author's Response:

I'm tickled pink to learn that you love my story. I wanted to present

a Brian without the walls, masks, and posturing he hid behind

on the show. Thank you for the encouraging words and the review.

Author's Response:

Happy New Year to you! Thank you for commenting.

Reviewer: marie-france (Signed) · Date: December 28, 2020 09:18 AM · On: Chapter 2 WELCOME TO NEW YORK

Vic took care of Brian in New York thanks to him. Even though he is resourceful he is young and can get into trouble. I can't wait to read how the cohabitation will go now that Raul is back. I like to think that Vic allowed Brian to grow up and their bond reminds me of shared adventures that no one has heard of. Just them at some point.. Thank you I love this story more and more!

Author's Response:

Hi, and Happy New Year! Thanks for sharing your comment on this chapter. My Uncle Vic won't

take Brian up on his offer because A: Debbie would tear him to shreds and

B: the thought squicks me out because it smacks of incest, lol. I appreciate the review!

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: December 23, 2020 07:42 PM · On: Chapter 1 Empire State of Mind

Vic the one person who Brian could really count on.  I'm surprised that Brian is actually sharing.  Not surprising that Mikey is giving away secrets.  Justin and Daphne are sneaky.

Author's Response:

Hi, How are you? Vic and Brian go way back. No one can accuse Brian of being an open book, but he was distracted and worried about Justin.

As for Michael, we all know he can't hold his own water, lol. There's no way Daphne would have stood buy and let Justin leave town on his own unless

they had a plan. Thank you for commenting and I appreciate the review.

Reviewer: marie-france (Signed) · Date: December 23, 2020 09:17 AM · On: Chapter 1 Empire State of Mind

It's so nice to read a story where Vic will be present. He's been like a father to Brian and I'm delighted to see a story with these two. Thank you. Will we learn more about the burglary?

Author's Response:

I always felt that Vic's role was under utilized in the series. He was kind of like the voice of

reason and reigned in Debbie and Michael when he could. My What If, AU...I'm not sure how to define it...story was inspired by one that I read

about Vic raising Brian when he was a child,  another where an adult Brian supported Debbie and Vic financially, and my experiences

years ago when I graduated high school at 17 and drove to NY to hang out with my uncle who was only six years older than me.

I didn't plan to address the burglary in detail. That's another story. Thank you for reading and for the review.

So great to see you posting a new story, Kim! I have enjoyed every one that you have written, and I'm sure this I'll be no exception. 🙂 I like how you will be expanding upon Episode 110 to let us have a glimpse into Brian's life. Looking forward to more. ~Kim

Interesting premise. I will enjoy seeing how this progresses. It reminds me of Randall's story when Brian ran away to NY when he was seventeen and lived with Vic. But that story took a turn that I'm still trying to figure out if I liked.

And congraulations on your five-year writing anniversary.

Author's Response:

I loved Vic’s role on the show. He was kind of like a father figure in the gang's dysfunctional family and

Vic was one of few people that Brian seemed to respect.

A couple of stories I read when I was a newbie to QAF and this fandom in 2015 inspired me.

I couldn’t find Randall on the author page

and I’d like to read that story.
