My heart was breaking for Gus right throughout this chapter. His mothers have a lot to answer for. Plus poor JR she needs a more stable home and that is not with her mums. I am loving this so much. So much love and respect within as well.

Author's Response:

Melanie and Lindsay are pretty selfish people.  Lucky for Gus,he has a bunch of people who love him.  Things are looking uo for JR, Grandmom Debbie is taking on a bigger role in her life and Little Miss enjoys spending time with her Joey.  Glad to know you are enjoying the story.  Thanks for the nice comment my friend.  Bill

Wow Gus made me cry. But everyone’s response was exactly what he needed, I had a feeling that was going to blow up and Brian and Justin handled it the best they could I do think John might have been the best at getting Gus to see how good life with his Dads is and will always be.

Granny is going to have a beautiful place to live even Brian will be ok with it. Justin will just have to be fine with it.

Lindsay is mood swinging all over the place and when Sydney and Justin pass on showing her art something is going to blow, I think JR is going to get caught in the cross fire and that scares me.

I like the relationship JR has with Joe, but it also shows just how much she misses Gus.

i figure John is getting a decent sized SUV so he can take everyone to school, though I doubt his schedule will have him bringing anyone except himself home.

I have been rereading the first part of this SAGA and was so happy when I checked and there was more NEW.

Author's Response:

Always look forward to your comments.  I think making you wait for updates makes your comments more positive??  Gus loves his Daddy & Papa but John is a big boy and assumes hero status in Gus's eyes.  I think John's comments were the icing on the cake for Gus.  Granny talking about loving people for years & years was a great message for Gus to get and understand.  Lindsay is deeply troubled, I think maybe the longer you hold something inside the more damage it does when you finally release those memories.  Brian always knew he had shitty parents but Linds held those hurts deep inside.  Joey & Little Miss have a fun relationship that benefois them both.  I don't think John will get too large a car and I'm sure he won't do all the chaffeuring for the family.  I have never started at the beginning and read the whole story.  I read parts to refresh my memory.  Sometimes I enjoy it but sometimes my errors annoy me.  Thanks for the review!!!!!  Bill

I was so happy to see this update, I was looking forward to it.

I hope Gus was completely reassured about the people who love him he's such a nice little guy, he will eventually understand that his mothers are responsible and not him.

Melanie seems to have started to see that she is the cause of a lot of problems in their family. Lindsay is crazy. I can't even imagine the reaction when Sydney and Justin turn down her exposure. She is so imbued with herself.

JR has a great time with Debbie Joe and Carl and Joe is a really good guy. He knows what it's like to have a broken family. Michael seems to be jealous of his daughter's good time with Joe, what a despicable man. He does nothing for her but is unhappy with what others are doing. Michael well! Unfortunately no surprises here.

Author's Response:

Sorry to make you wait so long for this chapter.  I think everyone telling Gus about lifetime love reasured him that his Daddy & Papa would not suddenly stop loving him.  Mikey thinks everyone shoud be taking care of him, expecially his mother & Brian.  He is missing out on a lot hapiness by refusing to grow up.  I appreciate all your support for the story!!!!!!!!  Bill

Bill

Thanks for the new chapter. I am sorry JR is getting the short end of the stick when it comes to parental care. Sounds like Lindsay is still crazy.

Author's Response:

Glad you liked the update.  I think things are getting a little better for JR.  She hasd Grandmom & Grandpop and her Joey to help take care of her.  Poor Linds is very distrubed and doesn't seem to be getting better.  Thanks for reviewing, you know I love them!!!  Bill

thank you so much for the update; it's a good one! i want to read the chapter a few more times and think a bit before i do a full review but i have to say i am so disgusted with michael i could cheerfully slit his throat. again someone has to take over paying out for his daughter and it's a kid, for god's sake! michael has no bills, low rent and no reason on earth not to kick in to help his daughter financially... except i would bet he's still buying his toys off the internet. grrrrrrr.....

Reviewer: HJ1225 (Signed) · Date: June 18, 2021 04:52 AM · On: Chapter 32

Yay!  A new chapter!  And, it was great! I know you have been so busy, and I have tried to wait so patiently, but boy have I missed this story!

My heart broke for Gus and his fears and tears were rolling down my face when Granny held him and got him to finally believe in lifelong love in families.  At least I hope he did. And John's words to Gus, again tears. John is such a good guy, who would have thought he would turn out to be such a wonderful person. Just wonderful scenes that you wrote about lifetime love and "love" families. Great job!

I believe that Lindsay is showing manic depressive symptoms.  High highs, low lows, possible imagining things (like seeing her parents at the grocery store). For the first time in a long time, I felt sorry for Mel. Small steps to seeing how her behavior has made her lose a lot of things lately. Hopefully she will start correcting her behavior.

Joe is a sweety. Why do I get the feeling whiney ass is going to not like Joey being around JR?

Love this story and I am always anxiously awaiting more chapters from you (no pressure, just know this story is LOVED).

Holly

Author's Response:

Hi Holly, happy top know you emjoyed the chapter.  it verred in a direction I had not planned but I am happy with the result.  I would like to say that Granny reassuring Gus is the reason I brought her into the story but that would be a lie.  This long saga just kind of lurches along on my inspiration of the moment.  This chapter started on a whole different tangent before iI thought about how Gus would feel about being abandoned by his mothers.  Poor Lindsay is very troubled.  I have personal experience with a couple people who had difficult choldhoods that came back to seriously affect them as adults.  One told me that he kept his abuse locked in a room in his brain but when he went to counseling and discussed that issue he could never get it locked away again.  I don't think ti was really locked away sincehe had become depressed which is why he started counseling.  His story did not have a good outcome. Mikey doesn't like anything about Joe being taken in by Debbie.  He believes he should be sleeping in his old bedroom not Joe.  Happy that you enjoy the story so much.  Thanks for all your nice comments.  Bill

ok, michael's big mouth at the reception desk with his partner and the lady from finance or wherever...

the comment he made about brian wanting time away from "justin's brats" should be reported to cynthia, the receptionists supervisor. totally inapproprite, even saying to another employee let alone two of them. brian would be very upset if he knew about it and considering michael represents the company at that front desk, he should know what he is spewing there for anyone walking by to hear. he should not get away with that.

Sweet Baboo, hit the submit by accident. I feel sorry for Joan she led a horrible life not so different from Janet except she has just about killed herself with the drinking. Her daughter in jail but to scream at Joan after all the mistakes the daughter is as delusional as weasel boy, Brian was the one that was abused his whole childhood. I'm waiting for Granny to do a smackdown on weasel boy, that will give him a reason to whine.            your loving Sally

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, I told another reviewer that Janet & Joan might get a group discount with a therapist.  They are both victims who lacked the strength to break free form their abusers.  I think Granny doesn't think Michael deserves her attention.  Youe Sweet Baboo

Reviewer: bktush (Signed) · Date: May 05, 2021 02:43 PM · On: Chapter 31

Hi Sweet Baboo, Still loving your story.Adore Brian and Justin, but Jen,Granny, and Kevin have become fast favorites, unfortunately the weasel boy is dumber than a rock guess he thought Deb would just throw Joe out. I hope Ted can get the woman who his neighbor talked to do find out about Nina, any body should know that info should never given out .Now for Ken and Janet they truly galling-I kinda felt for Janet but she must have known how controlling Ken was but she has had years where she could have grown a back bone, so she knew this wrong and sadly Ken taught Craig how to control his family but Jen divorced and did'nt care what the family and their friends thought. I think it's so cute Gus and Kevin can calm the twins, especially when Gus sings to them.

Author's Response:

My Darling Sally,  I have been a very, very bad Baboo.  So sorry not to have replied sooner to your comments.  Mikey is very reliable, completely clueless and sefl-centered but unchanging. I think Ted will take care of the neighborhood gossip.  Janet has been dominated for years.  She has let it happen but it starts out slow and builds.  Not sure she has the strength and resources to break free at this stage of her life.  Jennifer was a stronger person but also put up with Craig for quite a while before breaking free.  Almost seems like Lily and Liam know Gus is their big brother and loves them so much. As always it was great to reasd your comments.  Again sorry for my tardiness in responding.  I remain as always, your Sweet Baboo

Thanks for update!  Glad Justin put the other grandparents in their place.  I hope Michael gets his smackdown soon.  If anyone else was a rude about the owner of the company he works for, he would be fired long ago!!

Looking forward to more,

Deb L.

Author's Response:

Hi Deb, truly sorry not to have responded sooner.  Justin always protects his family.  Brian has too much past with Mikey to completley abandon him but it Mikey comes close to Brian's breaaking point.  Thanks for the review!!!!  Bill

thought some more after reading comments sympathetic to janet and ken.

janet tries to blame hubby and sons for her ignoring justin and molly for so many years. but for me the bottom line is that if you know your grandson was almost killed  in a bashing incident and did NOTHING to find out about his condition, you clearly show you don't really care what happens deep down. NOTHING on this planet would keep jennifer away if one of her grandson's were injured and i think that is true of most grandparents. janet is more concerned about staying married to a dominant man and not disrupting her comfortable (to Her) lifestyle that she deserves no sympathy at all to me. unlike joan, she clearly knew ken was wrong in keeping her away from justin when he was bashed, but let it happen anyway. she, her husband and sons are worth nothing but disgust and to blame their behavior on their precious old testment makes it even worse. too many people use the bible to justify their actions and some of them, like ken, janet, craig and the other worthless son, slam up hard against karma, as they deserve to.

Author's Response:

You always make me smile.  Janet has allowed herself to be dominated.  Ken was better at it than Craig was but it took something drastic for Jennifer to pull away from him.  Janet was really wrong not to reach out to Jennifer and Justin (Just realized all the J names) but she is a victim of spousal abuse.  May she and Joan (another J) can get a group rate with a counselor.  They both need a booster shot of self esteem.  Bill

Hey Bill, hope you are doing well!!

I am very proud of Joan.   I think she has really come a long way and is definitely turning things around.   And if she continues the way she is, maybe she can try and reach out to Brian again.   I know they have a ways to go, and there are a lot of issues to work through, but I really think the two of them can actually have an honest to goodness talk and maybe even make some progress.   I guarantee it would go a lot better than that chat between Justin and his grandfather...   LOL

Author's Response:

I am doing well but am a very bad author for not respoding to comments sooner.  I apologize!!!!!  Joan has a ways to go, she has to accept Brian and Justin for who they are.  Almost any talk would be better than the Justin/Ken discussion.  Thanks for the comments!!!  Bill

So fantastic to see a new chapter of this amazing story. I feel for JR she deserves to have a better home life just like Gus is getting. Debbie is doing a wonderful job with her and Mel and Linds need to be careful and be thankful that. Brian and Justin have been through so much so it's great seeing the good people in their life stay and the bad get weeded out. Nina is such a wonderful little girl and Ted and Blake love her so I hope that wicked woman across the road gets dealt with. There are so many emotions and beautiful moments in this. Fantastic work as always x

Author's Response:

I will start with an apology for not responding sooner, that is very wrong of me!!  Happy you enjoyed the last chapter.  I suspect some big changes are coming to JR's home life.  I think Debbie is enjoying spending timw with her granddaughter but will not accpet unreasonable interference.  Ted will come out ahead.  His neighbor is a fool.  Thanks for all your kind words!!!!!!  Bill

Reviewer: mary48 (Signed) · Date: April 18, 2021 10:17 PM · On: Chapter 31

well, that was quite a chapter! justin and molly handled things perfectly with craig's parents. glad they will not get to see the kids and spread their venom.

brian's confession to granny about seeing justin lying on the garage floor proves that he loves and accepts granny as a valuable addition to his family and clearly believes she loves them all.

was very glad ted contacted brian's lawyer about the busy body across the street. should be fairly easy to find out who "bev" is and take appropriate measures. would like to see both bev and the neighbor sued. that would teach a good lesson.

i loved how tillie has taken joan under her wing and even gladder the joan allowed that to happen. joan needs some help from the parish priest to help her understand that brian and justin's relationship is not an abomination. joan needs a firm introduction to the new testament. joan seems really motivated to stay sober and i hope can start to have her grandson's around again. brian is a good man and he will forgive joan if he sees real progress. he talks tough but he really is a softie, especially when it comes to family.

mel has serious issues regarding males, as well as many others. it was nice to see debbie climb all over her when complained about "joey" being around JR. as i think about it, debbie rarely really goes off on family but recently she has seriously jumped both michael and melanie and it was good to see.

also glad it looks like kate's lawyer will be disbarred. not sure exactly what can be done to the law firm, but i would think granny could, and should, sue them into bankruptcy. she certainly has grounds to do it. and the best thing to do with them it hit them in the pocketbook and provide the bad publicity of a court trial to make other clients run to new law firms.

also happy to see that brian enjoyed his return to work altho he does miss being home with the twins and his family.

i really want to see what happens when brian and justin go to pick up all gus' clothes and toys from the munchers...

great chaper!!

Author's Response:

Glad you enjoyed the chapter and I am sorry not to have responed sooner.  I so appreciate all your comments and support and fell down on my job to reply.  Justin is fiercely protective of his family.  Whatever feelings he may have for the Taylor grandparents, he won't allow them the opportunity to hurt Brian or their children.  Ted is notgoing to let gossip create a probelm for his family.  Joan is lucky top have support but she needs to revaluate her view of Brian and Justin or she will not be accpeted into their family.  Mel see how Lindsay had been impacted by her "father's" abuse but has passed the ine of reason.  The lawyer will be disbarred but I think Granny wants to put the whole episode behind her.  She was so hurt by Kate I think she prefers to just move forward with her life.  I see Grandmom Jen playing a role in getting Gus's possesions.  Thanks as always for your comments and I promise to do better about responding.  Bill

Joan has come a long way.  Not so Craig's father.  Brian has found piece with Justin and his kids.  Shame Michael is stuck in his believe that Brian can't possible be happy.  Poor Ted, I'm looking forward to reading what you give us concerning the nosy neighbor.

Author's Response:

Joan still has a ways to go.  Ken is happy with his life view, just like his son was.  Mikey is as solid as the rock of Gibralter, clueless but solid.  I think Ted will win this round with his annoying neighbor.  Sorry to take so long to reply!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Reviewer: marie-france (Signed) · Date: April 18, 2021 09:43 AM · On: Chapter 31

So happy to see an update. Hope everything went well and you will start enjoying your home.

Mélanie is crazy! I think she's trying to get locked up by attacking Debbie like that. Michael is also going to get lost in his fantastic life, I am waiting for the moment when it will happen.

It's sad for Janet to agree to follow her husband even when she wants to know her grandchildren, but for what reasons? She must feel lonely. I don't know her situation but she should take Granny's example and take charge of her life without Ken but I think it's too late for that.

I had a tear when Brian spoke about Justin's assault, it's so deep in him this pain.

I hope Ted knows the right people and Anabel Harper is one, to silence the neighbor and prevent her from harming more people.

Life is always happy at the Taylor-Kinney's and I hope Joan can take advantage of it on a few occasions, Christmas, birthdays, we'll see but I think she's very aware of what she's done but she deserves it. let him open the door a little. The nephews can help and Tillie is a good person to helpher too.

.That's it and I'm already waiting for the next update. Take care of you.

Author's Response:

Start with an apology for not reponding sooner.  You are always so supportive by posting comments, I appreciate that and should have posted a reply.  I think Mel is just completely overwhelmed.  She see what abuse has done to Lindsay and is seeing issues where none exist.  Linds is still deeply troubled.  Janet has taken second place to Ken for so long I'm not sure she can break away from his control.  The bashing is something neither Brian nor Justin will ever completely get over.  I think Ted will come out on top of the neighbor situation.  We will have to see if Joan can continue with her recovery and open her heart a little to dispel her homophobia.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!  Bill

Reviewer: shf1210 (Signed) · Date: April 18, 2021 03:52 AM · On: Chapter 31

I knew the Taylor grandparents were where their sons learned their hate, and that they would be unable to accept Brian.

Brian talking to Granny about the bashing was so out of character for Brian and could only happen with someone who also truly loves Justin.

i hope Ted finds out who talked and gets them fired and the neighbor in trouble, the neighbor reported all to my Mom about me and my sisters got extra eggs at Halloween...

I loved Brian’s short day back at work he snubbed Mikey and fired someone and may bring Gus with him to work soon (that might need to happen next chapter) and then he comes home kisses everyone and almost burps a baby in his suit.

Mel and Linds are up to something I don’t know what but I feel sorry for JR already...

i guess I end with Joan, I don’t like her, I don’t trust her and I worry her getting on Debbie and Jens good side will have them doing something stupid to Brian.

Now please go write Gus going to work with Daddy I need to read that SOON!

i know how much I hate moving so I hope yours was better then any of mine and you are now all moved in and can write the next chapter...

Author's Response:

I have been a very bad author and not reponded to reviews in a timely manner.  That is bad and I really do apologize.  I love to read the comments so I need to respond.  All of us are products of our enviornment but some people are able to overcome their upbringing.  Craig was not one of those overcomers.  I think Brian trusts Granny.  He can sense she loves his Sunshine unconditionally.  I'm sure Brian enjoyed being back at Kinnetik for a short time.  It made coming home all the sweeter.  Truly a doting parent not to consider suit damage with a burping attempt.  Lindsay has some serious issues that I'm not sure she will be able to overcome.  I don't think Joan has moved to anyone's good side.  I would say that Debbie and Jennifer are cautiously optimistic.  I think Gus will lobby hard to go to work with Daddy. Bill

YAY!!!!  My begging for a new chapter that I did to my computer screen yesterday resulted in a new chapter!!!

I feel for Janet, but she did sort of bring this on herself. She made the choice of being subservient and letting her bigoted closed-minded asshole husband not give a damn about her feelings. And she continues to allow it to happen, so she must not really want her grandchildren in her life.  Or at least not Justin & Molly. It just makes me appreciate Jennifer all the more that she had the strength to not allow that to happen to her and loving her children more than willing to settle for a comfortable life with a controlling bigoted asshole. Maybe Janet will grow a spine, but I doubt it. Her loss.

Had to laugh at your typo calling Melanie Meanie. LOL  I recently read that typo in another story and thought how appropriate the typo was. Meanie is just out of control. Deb was right in the fact that Meanie just hates males, no matter the age which led to the mistreatment of Gus and the spoiling of her daughter by making Gus pay for JR's misdeeds.  That is how she feels about men, she is all about blaming males for her mistakes, fuck-ups and hatefulness. She really needs a psychiatrist right along with her cra-cra bitch of a wife.  And wow, I feel like I am really cussing a lot this evening, but when the words fit, they fit.

Speaking of bitches, poor Ted having to deal with that trouble-making, gossiping bitch neighbor of his.  Glad he stood his ground and let Sybil know he didn't like her thinking that either, even if it was for just a moment. Ted is a good father and a good man and he did not deserve that at all.  I wouldn't have told the biddy anything and served her with a slander lawsuit since she was spreading vicious lies about Ted & Blake. But Ted is way nicer than me.  As I have mentioned before, I'm a vindictive bitch myself. LOL

Loved the trust that Brian has of Granny and love how much she loves the kids (especially Gus) and how happy she is living there.  I was actually wondering if there was any news about Kate's unethical lawyer. Glad to know that they are still trying to make that disbarment happen.

Creepy  is as delusional as ever. Loved Brian enjoying his day at work.

I'm glad Joan is rejoining the world a bit. Tilly is a good woman. I was surprised that Joan went to talk to Deb, but it was a good talk. I don't know if she can ever truly be forgiven or not but I thought it showed a lot of growth in how she is currently viewing things. But who knows what she will think or say next time.  I do believe in redemption for some, not sure if Joanie deserves it, but I am glad to see her growth today and the knowledge and acknowledgement of the horrible things she has done in her life and her understanding it will probably be impossible for her victims to forgive or want to be in her life.

I have to admit that I teared up in two places in this chapter; 1) when Brian told Granny he still can see Justin on the garage floor, and 2) when Joan started crying (never thought I would cry for her -- okay, I'm a crier, don't even let me near a Hallmark movie).

Great chapter!! Thank you for posting.  Can't wait for a new chapter!

Hope your move went well and you are all settled in at your new house.

Holly

Author's Response:

Move was good, still some unpacking to do.  It is very hard to change the habits of a lifetime, Janet doesn't see, to be making any changes.  Joan on the other hand seems to be making needed changes.  Several people seem to enjoy my unintentional categorization of Melanie.  She doesn't seem to realize her life is wildly off course.  I think Ted will come out on top with his neighborhood dispute.   Brian knows that Granny is genuine and that she really loves two of the mopst important people in his life:  Justin & Gus.   You really have a pick against poor Mikey.  He knows he is right even if the rest of world doesn't realize it.  Joan is really making positive changes to her life.  I hope it continues.  Very falttering that I can move you to tears, thank you!!!  Always move to ready your comments!!!  Bill

Well those grandparents are something else.  Don't like them at all.  Hope there are big changes in them.  I hope Michael says something about Justin again so Brian can punch him and fire him.  I so dislike that so call man.  I am very suspious of Lindsay, this all of a sudden looking after Jenny Rebecca and keeping house.  I think she is trying to win Brian and Justin over so she can say how much JR misses Gus and can he come and visit and then she kidnaps him.  Don't trust her at all, she's nuts.  I hope no one falls for any of her antics.  So sorry for such a long thought, and for a delay in reviewing but just like before if something unpleasant happens in my life I start this saga from the beginning. Thanks again for your update and this wonderful story.

i have no symapthy for janet and ken. they funtion as fairly normal people only when they are in their safe little white, hetero bubble of protection. expose them to the real world and they are just as bad as craig. you reap what you sow and they deserve to be kept out of justin's life. actions have consecquences and there should be consecquences for janet and ken... and michael, mel and linds. if you want to spend your life being nasty and judgmental and out for everything you can get and do your best to turn gus from brian, don't expect hugs and kisses from those you have hurt.

if anyone deserves some understanding for bad behavior, i think it is joan. she never in her life knew how differently people could act from her mother and jack and what a real family was like. she has no self confidence and no idea that change is possible for her. i'm hoping tilly and the parish priest can help her find a better road to travel.

like some of the qaf characters, too many people in this country today think they can be as nasty and hateful as they want to anyone who doesn't agree with them, just like the ones in this story, and that it is ok. it isn't and i find it disgusting. i don't have much tolerance for irrational people with closed minds.

like mel and her thought about "no more private school for JR" when Brian got custody of gus... public school is fine for other kids, but not her daughter. nothing but a fucking hypocrit.... like so many others...

My spologies for somehow missing your review earlier.  Janet and Ken did not have a very good meeting with their grandchildrens.  More on Joan in the next chapter.  Mel has many issues,  Thanks as always for your comments.  They are always food for thought.  Bill

Hey Sweet Baboo, I didn't mention mikey I really can't talk about him without cussing like a marine. Just wondered if maybe Cynthia could go off on him and shock him so bad that he can't speak, or in his case whine. silence sweet silence.

Author's Response:

Poor Mikey, you wish such bad things for him.  He remains sure he is correct and the rest of the world is wrong.  You made me laugh...  your sweet Baboo

Hi Sweet Baboo, my vote is Janet and Ken 0 the Taylor Kinneys 100   ! Janet is acting like a loving grandmother but is blaming her husband and late son as an excuse. She was a grown woman and no one had a gun to her head, as far as Ken goes he is every bit the homophobe and lives to have people fear his power. Send them home, angry or not, don't need anymore homophobes from the Taylors, Molly and Justin would just stress and Brian would angry has hell. Ken wouln't be able to hide his true feelings from the family although I'd like think of Jen and Granny getting into a mud fest with Ken and Janet, I know Jen and Granny would win! I got my covid first shot today, hope you got yours. By the way moving to another state or town? Love you S. Baboo, Your Sally always.

Author's Response:

Darlinf Sally, so sorry to be so late in replying.  Life has been busy, moving SUCKS!!!  I agree that Janet has given at least tacit support to the life view of Craig & Ken.  I moved to a different town then last residence but I now live less than a mile from where I grew up.  Kind of funny to be back here so many years leter.  Some things the same, many things different.  Drive past my old grade school almost every day.  Also got my 2 vaccine shots so that is a good thing.  Hope all is good with you.  I remain as always, your sweet Baboo

i reread this chapter again and am now thinking that craig's mother is just as bad as her husband in her thinking... from some of the comments she made at lunch... she just covers it up better. i don't think either one of them deserve to be in the twins lives.

Author's Response:

The Taylors have not learned from past events and are in danger of being being ostracized by the Taylor-Kinney family.  We can't forget they raised Craifg and supported his view of Justin & Brian.  They have a lot to relearn or will be alone.  Bill

ya know, i find as much as i detest michael, that i agree with another reader about michael needing psychiatric help. if anyone really loves him, meaning deb or ben, they should get in into see a shrink. i have never met anyone on this planet who is so blind to the truth and oblivious to what others say and think. either that or he needs a lobotomy.... lmao

Author's Response:

Blake has suggested counseling to Miket a few times but he is certain he is correct about his view of life.  The rest of the world is mistaken!!  Bill

Loved the new chapter.  I had nearly given up hope. I knew you were getting ready to move but was desperately missing this story. Thanks for posting!

Ken Taylor is just like his son, which is a very bad thing. I feel for Janet, but she will never get the chance of being able to be a part of Justin's family if she and Ken don't hear and understand what they will have to do to be a part of it. I thought Justin laid it out very well what it will take for that to happen.  Now, will they listen and learn or will we see a replay of Craig's so-called attempt at reconciliation?  I can't wait to find out.

Loved Molly and her support. I liked that she made Justin think about the request from the Taylors and I had to smile at the narrowing of her eyes at the Taylors and looking like Jen when she did so.

Creepy is just down the rabbit hole. Where are the men in white coats carrying a strait jacket to take him to a padded room.?

What is going on with Lindsay.  Such a huge turnaround. The fact that Deb has a bad feeling is making me very concerned. I so need to know right now!!! ;-)

I'm glad that Jay is standing up for himself but doing it in a reasonable, knowledge-based way.

I have missed this story. I know you are incredibly busy but I hope you can squeeze in a new chapter soon.

Great chapter!

Holly

Author's Response:

Ho Holly, happy to know you enjoyed the latest chapter.  The Taylors seem kind of clueless.  They need to understand that Justin and his family do not need them and need to adjust course if they want to be included in that family.  Molly loves her brother and she is her mother's daughter, strong and confident.  Mikey is like the rock of Gibralter firm and unmoving.  I don't think Lindsay's chnage is really a good thing.  Jay is getting good advice from his new friend, Peter.  Peter is getting good advice from his Papa and Grandmom.  Andrea is not getting any good advice.  My intentions are always to update quickly but somehow that diesn't happen.  I apologize.  Thanks for your comments I enjoy reading them.  Bill

I love how Mikey lives in his own alternative reality. The Taylors have got some nerve. You can love your son and not abandon your grandchildren.

Author's Response:

Mikey is a firm inhabitant of Mikey World!!!  The abandoned their grandson, they did send a gift to Molly but it was returned by her mother letting them know her children were an all or nothing deal.  Thanks for taking time to review!!!  Bill

Wow, that was a decent cliffy! I hope it works out, they seem pretty old and pathetic and need some sort of family ties. Ken is being kind of arrogant atm but that could be rectfied by a few quik kick in the shins by the wife. And honestly, what old, white, (well off?) male isn't at least a little arrogant?

Both the G-'rents seem to also have been fooled by Craig's misinformation which makes them victims too. I hope it works out

Sorry that Mikey continues to spiral down the rabbit hole to Wonderland and madness. That's a pity.

Author's Response:

I guess that is true about old, white males being a little arrogant is true but I try my best to comtrol it!   You have a lot of sympathy for the senior Taylors, you have me considering a different outcome for them.  Mikey is dependable, not sensible.  Thanks for the comments!!!!!  Bill

Hi ! Glad to see an update. Good luck with the move, it's always quite stressful even if you prepare as well as possible.

There is a lot going on in this chapter and it leaves a lot of questions. The Taylor grandparents are like Craig especially Ken and I think they lost their chance to meet the twins. Even Molly seeing Ken's behavior understood why her brother was so reluctant. I don't see this improving.

Michael is a big liar who never sees that his immature behavior will end up falling on him. Already when he says that his landlady does not go to Liberty Avenue, it's rotten since he got the accommodation by the GLC. And if he reports rumors about Justin to Kinnetic and it happens to Cynthia or Brian's ears he's going to be fired. Maybe he needs to be on his own and with nothing to finally grow up, we'll see what you do with him because I already told you you're too nice to Michael, finding him all kinds of apologies when he doesn't deserve them LOL

I'm also waiting to see, like Debbie, what Lindsay is up to and if it's something about her art, she must not forget that she stole the Bloom Gallery and that especially Sydney is angry with her a lot of her. behaviour. Jay follows his path, listening to Peter and Jen's advice on resisting his mother.

So many questions and while waiting for the answers, good luck and stay safe.

Author's Response:

You are correct stressful for sure.  Craig seemed to have learned his behavior at his father's knee.  Ken says he believed his son's version of events, probably becasue he agreed with it.  Mikey didn't move to the moon and you are correct his landlady is going to find out about his lies.  Lindsay's behavior continues to be odd, we'll have to wait and see what happens there.  Andrea is no doubt regretting Jay evermet Peter or spent time with the Taylor-KInneys.  Happy to know you are still reading and enjoying.  Thanks!!!  Bill

Great update.  I would have thought Justin and Molly would have walked out on lunch several times with the remarks his grandparents made.  I hope they can make them see the truth, but I fear that it may b too late.

Author's Response:

Thanks!!  I think Molly & Justin are committed to giving the Taylors a fair chance but it doesn't look promising.  Ken, especially, seems to think a lot like his son - Apple meet Tree!!  Thanks for the review, you know I love them!!!!  Bill

Great chapter.  Both Molly and Justin laid it all on the line to Ken and Janet.  I'm curious as to the outcome.

I must reiterate how much I love this saga.  I'm hoping it never ends!

Author's Response:

Wow, never ends,  I guess that  means I have to live forever.  That is a VERY nice comment, THANKS!!  Ken seems pretty set in his ways, not a good thing.  Thanks for always taking time to review, that is what keeps me writing.  Bill

Always happy to see an update by you.  Craig's parents seem to believe Craig's version of what happened over what really happen.  This does not bode well for them.  Love that Molly is with Justin 100%.  Linds has mellowed perhaps with the aid of pills?  Can't wait to see what happens next.  Moving will make it harder to work on additional chapters, but I know you can do it.

Author's Response:

Always happy to see your review, don't consider a chapter complete without it.  Dad especially seems pretty invested in Brian as child molester.  I don't see him ready to accept all of Justin's family.  Molly really does love her brother and of curse she really loves Brian too!  I think you are on to something with that "pills" idea, time will tell.  Beem busy painting, will be happy when move is done - end of this week, fingers crossed!  Thanks for all your suppport,  Bill

I think Ken and Janet have their work cut out for them...   With Janet, I see that she is trying with Justin, but Ken, he really seems set in his ways and not one for change.    But I am glad that Justin and Molly are having this get together with them now to find out how they truly feel about Justin and his family, and depending on their response, just let it go and move on.

I do wonder about Lindsay, though.   Debbie had the feeling that something was off about her, and Debbie is usually spot on about these kinds of things.  I'm looking forward to finding out where this part of the story is headed...

On another note, I hope all is going well with preparations for the move and it all goes well!!!

Author's Response:

Yeah, I'm not feeling the love from PaPaw.  He is not going to pass Brian bullshit test.  I feel sorry for Janet, I think she is looking for family to fill the void in her life.  Yeah I think there are still some issues with Lindsay, the pendulum seems to have swong quickly to domestic life.  Can't see it lasting.  Not as prepared as I hoped but all will be good.  Thanks for the good thoughts.  Always happy to see your review and know you are still reading and enjoying!!!  Bill

Ok I missed this but I hope your move goes well, mine was a nightmare I would only wish on those I don’t like...

Mikey not sure why you wasted lines in this chapter, but I admit I look forward to him being fired by Brian.

Jay the kid is growing a backbone which is a good thing for him and bad for his Mom I see him at 50/50 with Mom and Dad soon because something else is going to come up where Mom can’t get him...

Brian and Justin and time alone, maybe soon they go back to those once a week dinners...

Memaw and Papaw, I admit I hate weird nicknames for Grandparents but these people deserve these dumb ones since they can’t get the clues Justin and Molly are throwing in their lap ACCEPT BRIAN or forget you have great grandchildren period end of sentence.

They bought into Craig’s lies and don’t seem to remember just how smart Justin is to the point they think he would fall in love with someone who would do what Craig suggested.

i can’t wait for more, because I think next chapter Brian should go back in the office and maybe someone will be fired....

Author's Response:

I have moved a lot.  Always think I am well organized until the moves gets close!!  You seem to dislike poor Mikey, he just wants what is best for Brian  - or at least his version of what is best.  Jay has had a taste of real life and he liked it a lot.  Mom is not going to be able to get him under her thumb again.  I have known people called Memaw & Pepaw - seems more popular in the southern USA.  I went with PaPaw.  Whatever their names, Ken seems pretty clueless about what he needs to do to be a par of his great grandchildrens lives.  Their family loyalty deos seem to favor the son over any other members of the family.  Always interesting to read your comments!!!!!  Thanks,  Bill

Author's Response:

Bill

an interesting chapter. the way michael runs his mouth, i'm pretty sure he will get caught out in his lies to his new landlady.

jenifer and peter gave jay very good advice and it seems to be working with andrea, so maybe there is hope for them yet.

i don't see craig's parents getting to see the children the way craig's father is acting. doesn't seem like he will ever accept brian and probably not have much interest in gus, john or peter either.

lindsay's complete turnaround was a surprise and i think debby is right to be suspicious of this new behavior.

when is gus going to get his clothes and toys? doesn't seem like that has happened yet. jr seems to be more accepting of gus' disappearance from her life. wonder if that will last...

can't wait to see how mel and linds are doing without gus and for lindsey to show justin and sidney her "artwork". and is lindsay so relaxed without gus that she has started acting like a wife and mother?

so many irons in the fire and so interested in seeing how it all plays out.

glad you are making your new home beautiful but hope you don't forget your loyal readers...  hugs

i'm assuming ben will file for divorce.

Author's Response:

Since Flossie has some connection to the GLC ceneter, she advertised the room there, there is an excellent chnace she will mett someone who knows Michael or Debbie.  Andrea not taking gthe chnages in her son's behavior in a positive manner.  Still kind of an uphill battle.  Craig might have ;earned his baehvaior at his father's knee.  Good point about Gus's belongings, he will want his toys.  I think I have the correct person in mind to retrieve them for him.  I don't think Lindsay just got a new attitude for no reason.  Maybe Linds and Mel came up with a good story about Gus's absence for JR.  I think Linds is till anticipating a show at Bloom Gallery, not sure that will happen.  Ben has been pretty forgiving of Mikey in the past.  Hopefully will have more time for writing once the mpve is done.  Thanks for your comments I always rnjoying reading them!!!!  Bill

Great chapter.

I loved the confrontation between Brian and Creepy. I seriously think Creepy needs to be institutionalized, he just seems to be sinking more and more into comic hero and supervillains fantasy world. Even with Brian telling him he is starting to hate him, Creepy still thinks he needs to be saved as if he was a damsel in distress due to Boy Wonder, the Supervillain. I know you always say that we can always depend upon Creepy being the same, but there comes a time when people (characters) have to think that Creepy needs serious help with his delusions and living in comic fantasy land. There is something seriously wrong with him not being able to face that fact.  Psychiatric help is desperately needed.  JMHO

I really loved that Molly and Granny had some one on one time and I loved how Molly handled her grandparents surprise visit. She is maturing nicely and knows and respects her brother and his reactions to things. I will be interested in her conversation with J&B about the Taylors seeing the twins.  I got a little smile when Granny did her sly little dig about staying with Justin and his family.

Loved the one on one time that B&J got to have and loved seeing Emmett & Rusty.

I'm wondering what is going on in Lindsay, Mel, Ben and the Horvath's lives.  Would love to catch up on them too if you feel like writing some on them.

Loved the chapter and anxiously awaiting more!!

Holly

Author's Response:

Holly, so sorry not to have replied sooner.  Somehow I missed seeing this review.  Mikey is an interesting character, so sure he is correct about his view of Brian when all evidence is to the contrary.  By now you probably know how the Taylor gransparents meeting is progressing.  Also there are some of the catchups you requested, sorry again for my later response!!!!!  Bill

Well I guess they thought they could just show up and that's that.  I really am not surprised.  I don't think Justin will let them see the babies so fast just because they did this. So proud of Molly but no surprise there either.  Thank you for all of your updates, I know life has to go on no matter how much we would like the updates  more regularly, I am grateful.  Please never change the way you write Brian and Justin so loving, strong and together.  I will always love this saga and silly as it might sound it has gotten me thru two deaths, one of which was my daughter.  When I was feeling so down I would just start to read it again because even with the problems that come into their lives they have their family and their love.  I will always come back to read this over and over.  Thank you again for this.

Author's Response:

I don't think any comments have touched me as much as this one.  What a lovely and generous compliment to say my story helped you cope with such a deveastating loss.  Thank you so much for telling me that!!!!  The Taylor grandparents do not know their grandson too well to think he would respond well to an ambush visit.  Molly may surprise you, she has some fond memories of her Taylor grandparents.  Of course she would never not support Justin.  Again I want to say how much I appreciate your comments and I feel proud I could help you cope in some small way.  I like happy stories and you can be assured my Brian and Justin will always have a strong connection!!!  All my best to you!!!!!!!!  Bill

good morning Sweet Baboo, I think Ken and Janet have a lot of gall to try and spring their self on Justin, it proves their about as stupid as Craig. They believed all the crap that Craig told as the truth, their meeting with Jen should have made them think twice before just appearing, kinda hope Justin and Brian won't meet with them, they never gave Justin a thought for years or Molly. Now with Craig gone they want to connect it's far to late to turn loving grandparents, Justin and Brian have survied a lot and don't need two-faced relatives bargeing into their happiness.Of course the mental midget is still around I just wish Brian would demote him to janitor, it's not a good idea for him to be in reception and talking garbage when new clients are around. I love your stories.Love your Sally

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, Well they did raise Craig & Brad - not a parenting recommendation!!  Justin would have no trouble kicking them to the curb but I suspect Molly might feel differently.  We'll just have to wait and see what happens.  We know Brian, Jennifer & Granny will be on the kicking team!  I always think of Mikey as deoendable, always the same, but not in a good life afirming way.  Glad to you back!!!!  As always your sweet Baboo

i didn't say anything about the "flavor"  of the story changing and not sure where that came from. my disappointment stems almost entirely from the long times betwween chapters. to me, that indicates losing interest in the story. and with so many very interesting irons in the fire right now, i hoping for more of that and less fluff in this chapter.

i'm 73 years old and hope to live long enough to see "the end" at the bottom of a page before i die. i chuckle as i say that, but it is true!

Hi Sweet Baboo, Jay's mother really confuses me I don't know if she's a control freak or a homophobe bbut her son doesn't need to be living with her or he will as messed up as she is. I was really happy Deb chose Joe instead of mikey coming back home.I like Joe he seems to look after Deb and certainly takes far better care of her than her own son, the fact that he stands up to mikey is refreshing. was glad Brian didn't let him used the loft, like he said he paid him a salary he should be able to find himself a place to stay. I always loved the way you wrote Jen, but I swear you have many wonderful characters up like Kevin, and Joe but one of your best is Granny she's a hoot really love her personality even Brian is charmed by her. Love, your Sally

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, I think Andrea is both of those things,  Jay is lucky to have found a friends like Peter.  Peter is smart and does well in school but stillhas time for a life.  I think Jay's stay at the Taylor-Kinney home was an eye opening experience for him.  Deb had developed a life for herself with Carl and they are both enjoying mentoring Joe.  Deb is realizing that Mikey is stuck and is showing some "tough love".  I do love my Grandmom Jen - Morher Taylor.  Kevin, loosely based on a real person, has really become a fan favorite.  I love the character but even more I love how popular he has become.  Granny pulls no punches, I think she will provide us with lots of good times.  Happy to be replying to your review after a period of silence.  That is a big relief to your sweet Baboo!!!!!!

hi sweet Baboo, enjoyed this chapter. I was glad Jay stood his ground with his mother the boy has no friends and must be lonely. I think she uses power to make herself important at the expensive of her child that's abuse in most peoples eyes. I'm convinced that mikey is mentally challenged he's just out of control. love, Sally

My Darling Sally, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN??????  I have been really upset not to hear from you and was worried something had happened to you.  Glad to see this review!!!!!!!!!!!!  I think Andrea needs a hobby, not a good thing to put all your energy into your child - not good for mother or child.  Jay has seen how life pleasant could be with his visit to the Taylot-Kinney home.  I think Andrea is going to have her hands full tyring to keep him under strict control.  Mikey is something we can always count on, he is unchanging.  So, so, so, happy to see this review.  I missed you!!!!  I remain as always, your sweet Baboo

Everyone had a good weekend. Except Michael who took a shake again but did he understand this time I don't think he's so straight up in his boots full of shit when it comes to Brian, too bad for him, he's going to lose him . I think Justin's reaction is going to be terrible when he finds out about the unauthorized arrival of grandparents Taylor. I can't wait to read more. I read in one of your responses to the comments that you bought a house. I hope you will think of your poor readers every now and then for updates even though I know a house takes a long time. Take care of you..

i honestly don't think the flavor has changed all that much, bill; it is a wonderful story without all the misery and angst most b/j stories have and i'm happy to read a story where they are happy and together. to me, as long as they together as a solid team as they are in this story, there is very little angst... lots of excitement and issues to be dealt with but they deal with them as a team and to me, that is a good thing.

if i'm reading a book or a complete story, i don't pay much attention to how long a  chapter is or if one here and there has lots of fluff because i can move right on to the next chapter until i reach the end. i LIKE happy fluff and love the kids but there are so many irons in so many fires right now in the story, i'd like to see more of that too.

i love your writing syle and the way you present your characters. it's just hard to have to wait for so long for a new chapter....

These relatives don't have much family of their own so they are looking to expand their horizons with great grandchildren.  At least that is what I think.... who knows.....  Bill

i told myself i would not start reading stories that are not complete after edom and wren left me hanging with unfinished stories. when i started this one, i didn't realize it wasn't complete and found myself so hooked on it i just couldn't walk away.

i'm not trying to anger you or hurt your feelings but i'm just so disappointed i have to tell you that it looks like you are losing interest in this story and that it will only get worse once you start working on your new house. chapter 28 was a good chapter, altho quite short. i thought we were getting some mel and linds in this one from what you said but other than two very brief interractions with craig's parents and michael, the rest of this also very short chapter is all huggy-kissy fluff.

i'll check back occasionally but not often as i know there won't be anything for at least another month and it will be even longer when you move into your new house.

this is my very favorite b/j fanfic story and i'm just feeling so let down right now, i had to speak up.

Author's Response:

Your comments have given me something to think about.  There are a couple thing I do disagree with:  5,000 words is really about avaerage for my chapter lengths.  There are a few that are longer but a also a few that are shorter,  When I started this saga (lo those many years ago) my chapters were much shorter and I did update more frequently.  I actually think that most of this story is "huggy-kissy" stuff but I do not frequently go back and read past stories. I am going to reread some past stuff to see if the flavor of the story has changed.  I am not angry or hurt.  I appreciate honesty from the readers.  If you make this story a favorite you will get an email when there is an update. To be honest I don't see my updating to get dramatically more frequent.  Thanks,  Bill

Great chsgter as always!!!    Wow, to look back from where it all started for Brian and Justin to where they are now - look how far they have come!!!    And Michael seemed to be this close to a beat down from Brian.   Michael still just does not get it!!  At this point, I don't see him ever figuring out that he is the problem, not Justin.    And what is the deal with Ken and Janet?   Molly was right - if they force their hand, Justin will hae nothing to do with them.   They need to work things out on Justin's terms, not theirs.

Author's Response:

So happy you enjoyed this chapter!!  I liked this trip to the loft got them thinking about where they were and where they are now.  I think the encounter with Mikey just reinforced how they feel about their relationship.  Mikey can always be counted on to be unchanging, like the rock of Gibralter for Liberty Avenue.  I think Molly will lobby for the Taylor grandparents to be allowed to visit.  Brian and Granny will be no votes and Jennifer will remain neutral. They obviously don't know thir grandson very well if they thought it was a good idea to try and force him to do something.  Thanks for the comments, always look forward to reading them!!  Bill

Just when I was beginning to think this would be a boring chapter of Brian and Justin having sex and the kids hanging Granny, Grandmom Jen, and Grandpop you throw in Michael hearing for the millionth time that Brian is happy, even I know he didn’t hear a word. Then you throw in an ambush by the Taylor grandparents. It sucks what Brian and Justin will come home to...

Not begging just hoping there is more soon...

Author's Response:

Hello my friend,  I think Brian would be highly insulted that you find his sexual activities boring.  They will come home to hear about the Taylor grandparents attempted visit which will result in an our=trage Brian and a thoughtful Justin.  I will try....  Always fun to read your comments.  Bill

Michael is so wrong in his thinking.  Will he ever learn?  Now we have two more people who might be trouble stopping by.   I guess it doesn't pay for Brian and Justin to go away.

Author's Response:

I like to think we can always count on Mikey to be clueless and unchanging.  I beleive he thinks that somehow Justin has hypnotized Brian.  They still enjoyed themselves, I don't thnik Mikey bothere them much, but there will be some toruble when they get home and find out about the Taylor grandparents ambush..  You know I ALWAYS look forward to your review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Thanks,  Bill

You know sometimes you have to put some relatives and "friends" on the fringe of your life.  I think that is where Michael and Lindsay need to be.  I know she will have contact with Gus but that is all she needs to do. What art could she have that would be good enough for the gallery and if she does Justin needs to tell her to try another gallery.  All I see there is trouble.  Michael, lost cause.  I just think they are both just users big time.  Melody, I don't like but I also think she has also been used by Lindsay and Michael.  Not telling Jenny about Gus just goes to show how non of them care about anyone but themselves.  So love Granny and of course Jennifer one of my favorites.  Waiting for so much more.  I hope we get to see the twins grow. I so love how you have written so much love and strength between Brian and Justin.

Author's Response:

I think they kind of put themselves on the fringe but refusing to face change but you are correct that is where they belong.  Mel and Linds are not contenders for parents of the year.  We'll have to wait and see what Sindey and Justin think of Lindsay's art.  Glad that you are still enjoying the story and like Granny.  Of course I love my Jennifer, glad you do too.  Thanks so much for the review.  Hearing from the readers is what keeps this story going.   Bill

Jennifer is such a good person not just for looking out for Joan but her boys as well by looking after the kids. That Andrea omg I want to kick her ass I'm so glad Mary stood up to her. The boys do need time on their own. I'm sure raising kids is very hard so doing this will help them more than they even know. Fantastic work as always x

Reviewer: HJ1225 (Signed) · Date: January 08, 2021 05:13 AM · On: Chapter 28

Thank you for the new chapter, Bill.  It was just what I needed in this madcap frantic week.  I was getting worried about you so it was good to see you post.

It was nice of Jennifer to help out Joan and that Millie and Tucker helped get the house ready for her.  I hope Joan appreciates it and doesn't get upset that other people other than Jenn was in her home or that they cleaned up.  I like that she is being more....approachable? nicer? (not sure how to describe her at this point) but definitely an improvement.  Glad she is taking her sobriety seriously.  I hope she is starting to open her life up some.

Andrea is such a worthless person.  How horrible would it be to be to live such a closed-minded and malicious mentality life? I know there are plenty of people like that, but I can't imagine limiting myself that way. Not that my life is big or all that exciting (I swear I could live a very happily hermit life, I'm just a solitary person, doing my own thing, learning, reading, seeing what I want), but I try very hard to be open to new experiences and I would never go out of my way to so visciously hurt someone, especially someone(s) that had just taken care of my child when I couldn't. I don't understand people who want to live a life like that.  I loved Mary telling her off.  It is a good thing that the Washington PD are very aware of who B&J are and that they want nothing to do with riling Alice and Charlie up. I found that funny.

Can Creepy get any more pathetic?  What a loser.  Is he unable to live by himself?  Has he EVER lived by himself or has he just always been a leeching loser, expecting everyone to house his worthless ass? Loved Brian telling him no and also telling him off about the twins.  I can't believe Creepy actually voiced his fantasies about Brian staying with him at the loft and getting away from "Justin's Kids".

Again, thank you for the new chapter.  I loved reading it.  Anxiously awaiting the next chapter.  Hope it comes soon as I will definitely need it to survive the next couple of weeks.  Hope all is well!

Holly

Author's Response:

2021 has been an "interesting" year so far.  I am good just a bad author for not posting sooner.  I have given myself 21 lashes with a wet noodle.

Jennifer doesn't like Joan but appreciates her struggles for sobriety and wants to give her the best chance to stay sober.  The question remains if Joan will appreciate Jennifer's efforts.

Andrea does not appear to have any redeeming features and seems to be an extremely unhappy person.  Like you I enjoy solitary pursuits.  I find that to be a blessing in this carzy time we are living through but it doesn't limit us when we don't intreact with others.   We will have to see if some truth is going to creep into Andrea's mind when people are all telling her how wrong her behavior is.

Mikey remains Mikey, nothing much effects him.  He just keeps bobing along.  Thank for for your remarks they are always interesting to read.  I appreciate your support for the story!!!!  Bill

This was so heartwarming.  That little weasel, Michael is so nasty!  Good luck to him finding a roommate and place to live.  I'm glad Brian told him off.  What a horribly homophobic woman Andrea Fuller is!

Author's Response:

Happy to know you enjoyed this update.  Thanks so much for your kind words.  I think good luck to whoever gets to be Michael's roommate  LOL.  Andrea ceratinly doesn't appear to have any redeeming charater traits.  Hopefully she will see the light, time will tell.  If Peter gets his Papa and his Grandmom Jen stirred up Andrea won't know what hit her.  Thanks for reviewing!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Hey there and Happy New Year!!   I was so excited to see the update!!   I think it was very cool of Jennifer (and Tillie) to help Joan by getting groceries and clearing the vodka out of the house.    They also cleaned and did a load of laundry.   And actually, I'm proud of Joan; she really seems to want a change in her life and and I personally hope she is able to reach out to Brian.   I know he is really angry with her for everything she did - and said - to him since he was a kid, but she is really making an effort here, and I think even Brian would appreciate that.   I know it takes a lot to forgive, but just the fact that she's trying is a positive in my book.

And then there's Michael.  He is so out of reality, its not even funny.   He honestly expected Brian would want to live with him.   I'm glad that Brian nixed that as well as Michael staying at the loft, too.   Even Emmett told him no, though I bet that even if there was a spare room available at his place, he still wouldn't let him stay there.

Author's Response:

Happy New Year, sure is interesting so far.  Tillie and Jennifer are good people, willing to help people who need it.  Hopefully Joan will continue the good work she started in rehab.  It might not be too late for her to have a family.  Mikey exists in his own reality.  Always enjoy reading your comment.  THANKS!!!  Bill

two things, i think. first, i've always liked jennifer and even defended her. the only issue i have with her was the tuition for jr. that was a biggie to me, and it certainly will be interesting to see how that play out when it's time to acturally pay it and everyone finds out she's still in private school. but i'm like brian is with joan. i know she's had a miserable life always been disliked, even hated, her whole life. but i think she is also a very strong, some would say stubborn!, person in some ways, determined to keep people away from her and not changing her mind about that, at least until now perhaps. if she can stay sober and allow tillie and maybe the priest into her life a bit, she could open up a whole new world for herelf with brian and the grandkids. it would be kind of nice if she could have an epiphany and make some changes in how she acts.

secondly, don't you think yoy may be a little "overly harsh" about david? i doesn't sound like  her son ever complained too much to his dad before he met up with the kenney's and it's often too tempting to take the easy route when no one is prodding you to do differently. but it seems his eyes are open now, probably even more after josh's dad talks to him about andrea's behavior so i'm thinking he could pretty easily decide he wants custody of jay to raise him with his new wife. it sounds like his fiance really likes jay and would be willing to have him live with them.

redemption would be a very good thing for both joan and david with their respective issues... just a thought...

Author's Response:

I was just giving you a hard time over Jennifer but I do think that she is as close to perfect as anyone can get.  I personally know of someone like David.  Rather than have to deal with an ex-wife they ignore their child.  I find that behavior reprehensible.  Maybe Andrea would not be as overbearing with her son if David voiced his disaproval.  Jay said he wasn't sure his father would really want Jay to live with him.  However misguided Andrea is, at least she is interested in her child and doing what she thinks is best for him.  I think poor Jay like JR has lost out in the parent lottery.  I don't think a father should need to be prodded.  That is what makes life interesting, difference of opinion.  I still love you!!!!!  Bill

Thank you for starting my New Year with a new chapter.  Best chapter yet.  Andrea is in for a shock.  So is Joanie and Michael.  Can't wait to see what mischief you have planned for Brian and Justin's get-away.

Author's Response:

You are always so encouraging and supportive!!!  I so appreciate you.  Anyone who enjoys this long saga should thank you for all your support from the very beginning.  I never thought at the beginning I would still be writing this long saga.  It has been going on for more than 7 years!!!  Andrea needs to get taken down a knotch or two for sure.  Happy to know you are still reading and enjoying!!  Bill

After watching TV all day I was really happy to see this. I will admit off the top I wanted more Brian and Justin, but after hours of watching a building I have toured with my nieces invaded by terrorists I was happy to see this to calm my brain.

The 3 worst people in this story had to much time spent on them Joan, Michael, and Andrea. I actively hope Andrea loses Jay, that Michael ends up with an awful roommate and I can’t decide if I want Joan to succeed.

Brian better look out when he returns to the office, Michael may need to be fired or warned to shut up if he wants to stay.

i can’t wait for more, hopefully it doesn’t take someone begging on Facebook for the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Horrifying day!!  I have been to the Capitol many time.  Once, years ago, had a tour with a Congressman.  Had lunch in the members' restaurant.  Terrible that so many people accept lies.  Sometimes the worst people are the most interesting.  Haven't done an update in Joan for a while.  I was sure the readers missed her.  Brian pays no attention to Mikey, he will swat him like a fly.  It does appear that begging works for me.  I do have a little badnews for you.  I just bought a house so once spring come you know what I will spending time doing.  Always enjoy your remarks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Thanks for the update. Andrea really is a horrible person. I hope David will take Jay with him.

Joan realizes that she will need help if she is to be successful. I hope she will keep Tillie's support.

Brian finally really stood up to Michael and told him to take responsibility. While he is looking for accommodation I hope Brian and Justin will have a good time at the loft.

I hope that next time we will know a little more about life with the Marcus Peterson! Happy new Year Bill Stay safe.

Author's Response:

I fear I have done something horribly wrong.  David ia cowardly, absentee father who sent his son into the house to face his bitch of a mother on his own.  David id not hero!  I almost like Andrea better, David is running a close second to Ron Townsend as a worst father of the year.  How long with Joanie stay motivated to keep her life on track, that is the question.  Not sure what the answer is... stay tuned.  Next time we will take a side trip to muncherland I promise.  I am wondering if reality awareness will come to Mikey...  doubtful.  Happy new year to you!!!!  Thanks for all your support!!  Bill

I love Granny so much! She quickly understood that she hurt Brian with her money and apologized, I'm sure they will get along well both and will succeed in blocking Kate. We can understand why she didn't want her mother to go to Pittsburgh if she wanted to declare her incompetent to take her money. Putting Larry and Granny in contact is excellent Kate will not understand what is happening to her.

Mel has been to see Debbie as a last resort and there is really a problem in this house especially with Lindsay who does not take care of JR at all.

I burst out laughing when Granny discovered that we could block numbers with these new phones I recognize myself completely in there !! Thank you for the update.

Author's Response:

Really glad you enjoyed Granny.  I think she will be a lot of fun.  She and Brian both believe in saying just what they think so they are sort of kindred spirits.  Mel know that Debbie will not hold back on expressing her opinions and concerns.  Thanks for the review, always great to read your comments!!!!!!  Bill

Loved seeing the update for the new chapter!!   I wasn't surprised at Brian's initial reaction to the money that Granny gave him and Justin.   He is a very proud man who loves to help out anyone who is in need, but has never been one to accept money being given to him.   Granny did the right thing in speaking openly with Brian and telling her side of things.  That really went a long way with him.

And I don't know what to make about what is going on with Mel and Lindsay.  Things are definitely not right in that house, and even before Debbie stopped by and had basically the same reaction, I'd say that JR is being horribly neglected.   Lindsay would rather be in her studio by herself then brush her child's hair and get her dressed for the day.  And who knows what she JR does to keep herself occupied all day.  I truly feel sorry for her.

Author's Response:

I always love seeing your comments.  I think Brian and Granny understand each other.  She really regreted insukting Brian and let hi know how much she repected him.  Poor JR, bad gene pool, there really isn't anyone who can take her on fulltime.  Thanks for the review, everyone knows I love to get them!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Bill

Ok I love me some Granny and need a lot more of that.

How long will J.R. last with Deb before Carl puts her butt in timeout. My guess not long.

Why do I now see all of Granny’s other children on the other side of the locked gate trying to get into BRITAN and the Sheriffs department hauling them all away...

Somehow I figured Granny had serious money and I get why Brian was pissed but I also liked that he could be reasoned with. BTW I think he will call her Granny in front of Kate to piss Kate off...

This story just gets better and better with every chapter, FYI I would pay you to edit just to get early peaks at chapters....

Glad you are enjoying Granny.  I always worry when I add a new character that readers won't like or accept them.  I think Kevin is the most popular created character.  I agree about Carl and if Mikey shows up he may put them both in timeouts.  I see Brian & Granny forming a mutual admiration society - neither of them takes any crap.  WOW this review is all positive, I must have caught you ina good mood.  Thank you for your comments my honest & reliable reviewer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

What a fantastic chapter.  Granny is a pip.  Kate is not going to get her way, I hope that Brian will help block anything she tries.  Love that John blocked Kate's number.  Mel doesn't seem to learn.  By getting Deb to help with JR, she's going to find that the times she's let her daughter get away with things are going to come back to bite her on her ass.

Great chapter!!   Do I dare think that Michael finally got something through his thick skull and actually listened to what Ted was telling him about Brian?    I sure hope so.    And I am loving Granny.   I don't think it's going to take her too long to melt some of Brian's cold exterior.   And those Armani stocks?   The perfect gift for him.   And poor Justin; Gus is such a sweet and innocent little boy.   He has no idea what he is really saying, but geez, out of the mouths of babes!!  LOL.

a final comment about ju's private schooling. with linds prolific spending on herself, jr was never destined to be able to attend private school. the only way she got there was due to b/j. when brian backs off from supporting the girls and jr, she will never fit into the private school lifestyle. the income level is not there for her to "keep up with" the other kids in any manner... clothes, activities, etc. she's already pretty spoiled and not being financially equal to her friends will cause bitterness and she will be a total bitch as she gets older. that's why i'd like to see her go to ted and blake. they would straighten her out, give her the love she needs and help her to become a decent person as she gets older. i honestly think brian, with all the best intentions, is doing more harm than good in the long run for her.

They will meet in the next chapter for sure!

My Sweet Baboo, what a lovely present your chapter was for my 73rd birthday. Granny was everything I hoped for, she was gracious to John and Peter and loves Gus's manners, and it won't be long to the word "granny" rolls off Brian's lips. It's only a matter of time for mikey to make an appearance, not doubt granny knows a jackass when she sees one. I say put her and dumbass in a room together and wait for granny to come out victorious. The gift granny gave Brian was so neat and who would else  would be so delighted Mr Shopaholic  ! Mikey still doesn't have a clue about anything.I agree with the letter Brian is sending his mother, Jack was all about physical abuse and intimadation, Joan's part was mentally cruel, his father, mother, and sister went to great pains to make sure he knew he wasn't loved or wanted and it shaped the first 30 years of his life I don't think he felt worthy until Justin, that is what mikey doesn't get it's not all about sex, its about love and respect. Love Sally, and thank you!

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, I hope your birthday was good.  I will be 66 in September so you have a few years on me.  I believe that Granny will triumph over Brian and "Granny" will indeed roll off his lips.  I'm sure everyone will be anxious to meet Granny.  Mikey is as dependable as the rock of Gilbraltor - he is unchanging.  Joan still doesn't get that a mother's love should be unconditional and that being gay is not a choice.  Justin is a worthy partner for Brian.  He loves him and supports him but is not intimidated by him.  Thanks for the nice comments.  I remain, as always, your Sweet Baboo

Hey!!! I loved the chapter even though I am a little sad, now I have to wait for another chapter and I hate waiting! I need to see Michael and Lindsay brought down pegs and pegs and pegs. I still believe they got away with a lot of shit!

About JR, I don't understand why Brian has to pay for her schooling. She has 3 working parents who should pay for her schooling. Brian paying for her schooling and Justin making sure she gets enough gifts is wrong! She has parents who should take care of her and that's it. If they can't afford raising her, let CPS take her!

Everytime Brian and Justin pay for JR's upbringing is a slap in the face for Gus. Trust me I know first hand what Gus is actually feeling and what he will think when he grows up. Him being a loving well raised kid doesn't change the fact that he will resent how JR got that much from his dads while having her own parents. I hope I don't sound like a bitch but everytime JR gets to benefit from Brian and Justin's money i feel sick in my bones. And JR will grow up as a resentful entitled bitch who will be hated by everyone around her. She has the genetic cocktail for it and her benefiting from the Taylor Kinney's money will make her even worse. She will hate Gus and think she was cheated by him from being his dads' kid. JR is my 4 cousins. Brian will never beat Gus up and Gus will never run to Mel to patch him up. JR will become Michael, but a Michael without a Brian to take the fall for him.

Sorry for the rant but the whole JR thing hits really close to home.

Please update soon, don't leave us poor souls waiting.

Oh and, totally loved Gus and Granny's interactions. "almost as wonderful as grandmom Jen" had me laughing my ass off! it's like Granny is great but no one is as great as Grandmom Jen! And quite frankly, even my Grandmom who I fucking adore isn't as great as Grandmom Jen!

Anyhow I'm waiting for 21!

Lori

xoxo

Author's Response:

Sorry about the wait.  I'll do my best not to make it too long.  Glad you enjoyed this chapter, lots of good stuff happening.  WOW I sense you are not a big fan of JR.  I think Brian has a soft spot there because he doesn't want anyone to have an unhappy childhood because his own was such hell.  I think Brian and Justin always let Gus know he is number one with them.  There will certainly be changes in JR's life now that Brian will not be paying the mucnhers any support. My grandparents were good about not playing favorites but I have a cousin & a close friend that were always made to feel second best by one set of their grandparents.  She still resents it today.  It infuriates me when I see anyone obviously favor one child over another.  i don't think anyone will surplant Grandmom Jen in Gus's mind.  I think to Kevin and Gus Grandmom Jen is a gift from heaven.  Lori, thanks for the review.  I love to hear from the readers!!!!!!!!!!!!  Stay safe!  Bill

It is a real treat to finally meet Granny. We realize that she has listened to everything Justin has been able to tell her about his life with Brian. I look forward to the meeting with the rest of the family and especially on the behavior of Michael who I hope will painfully learn that he is no longer the best friend because I have the impression that he will not stop there.

The girls will have a hard time without Brian's money except for the JR school surely.
As for Joan, I understand that Brian cannot forgive if she does not accept him.
Thanks for the quick update

Author's Response:

Glad you enjoyed Granny.  We be seeing more of her in the next chapter.  I am sure everyone will be anxious to meet Granny.  Funny that you want JR's tuition to be conctinued and another reviewer wants her cut off cold turkey.  I am going to have to be Solomon on that topic.  Joan still doesn't understand a mother's love, not sure she ever will.  Thanks for taking time to review!!!!!!!  Bill

OMG!! i just knew granny was going to be a fun and fascinating character and she certainly is! don't think it will be too long before brian calls her granny. shares of armani? she knows how to get brian's attention!! can't wait for more of her...

ted did a great job with michael. can't wait until brian hopefully tells him he will not give him any money at all for jr. if ted did ever got custody of jr, it would be nice for brian to help him a bit, without michael or the munchers knowing. and hopefully, not another penny for mel and linds. brian needs to cut them loose so they can take responsibility for themselves and hopefully become better people. now that b/j have gus, there is no reason to continue to enable their incompetence...in my opinion.

this story absolutely rocks and just gets more and more exciting with each chapter. can't wait for the next one!! you are awesome, pa boi!!

Reviewer: shf1210 (Signed) · Date: June 28, 2020 04:37 AM · On: Chapter 20

Hmmm

So between the last chapter and this one I reread the entire story, except for some name slip ups and that one continuity issue I pointed out where you forgot Gus. I realized I was trying to figure out when everything fell apart for Mel because when they first show up sure they are broke and have no summer clothes for the kids but Mel is at least grateful to Justin for taking her shopping. It isn’t Lindsay breakdown that does it, it’s before that. Maybe it was xmas eve when she tried to not allow Gus to go Brian and Justin’s and was thwarted by Justin. Now I am hoping Brian and Justin stop all payment except for JR’s school and that is only really for Debbie since Joe is also going there.

Wow weird thought, how do we get Granny to run into Mel.

why do I love that everyone knows if Justin shows up anywhere well dressed Brian picked out the clothes even Granny is aware.

I love that you write Gus like every child I know, and my youngest niece is very close to his age in that they will spout back everything they have ever heard or seen at the most inopertune times in front of anyone who can maximize the embarrassment.

Granny knows the way into Brian’s heart she obviously listened to everything Justin said about him. Armani stock was clever.

i love how Gus explains his Lily, Liam and Justin’s nicknames

I don’t see Gus asking to see his Mother’s I figure at some point he will run into them

I would like Ben to explain to Michael why they can’t have JR in words he will understand but I am not sure those words exist.

I am so glad you were relatively quick with a new chapter, but now that you started this Granny thing I know I can’t wait for more...

Author's Response:

Someone else also said they reread the whole sage.  That is an amazing compliment, I really appreciate it!!!!  I get annoyed when I reread a chapter and find a "Brain" or a missing word or incorrect tense.  I have never used a beta so the mistakes are my own.  Predec2 offered me suggestion when I first posted the story and they were very helpful.  This is the first story I ever posted anywhere.  Justin makes no secret of his lack of fashion sense.  Gus is at that no censor age, he thinks it, he says it.  That is always fun as long as he is not telling something about you!  I think Gus feels let down by his mothers.  He may have some interest in seeing them sometime and they will certainly appear at family events at Debbie's house.  Mikey is very sure of himself and I'm not sure what it would take for him to chnage his mind.  I will try my best to post a new Granny filled chapter soon.  Thanks for all your support.  I love to erad your comments!!!!!!  Bill

Mel and Lindz are such sefish bitches. 'Gus is so demanding of my time.' Really, well she shouldn't have had children in the first place should she!

Your stories do get me riled up and you know I love anti Mel, Lindz & Mikey!

Just a thought, the boys have been living there for a year now, as John's birthday is soon & he had a party just afte thay arrived.  But I don't recall mention of Gus or Peter's birthdays.  Did I just miss reading this?

Thanks for this chapter, can't wait to see what idiocies/demands Mad Mikey the Moron comes up with next.  Would love to see if he is actually stupid enough to demand Brian support JR and what everyone's reaction would be!!

these are such great reviews! i enjoy them almost as much as the story itself.

much as i dislike mel and lindsay, i think they are finally making some good decisions. linds is far too vulnerable and fragile right now to give gus the love and attention he needs and she made that clear to mel. that made mel change her outlook on the custody and that was a really good thing. i think mel is close to a complete breakdown and think JR needs to be taken in by someone in the family, not b/j tho. mel and linds have a lot to recover from and need a calm and quiet homelife to have any chance of mentally healing, in my opinion. JR does seem to respond well to consistent and firm authority... as in the fruit eating. i'd really like to see ted and blake take her, at least temporarity. and i'm not liking ben in this story or in so many other stories i've read. he sees things clearly but does nothing and continues to tolerate michael's horrible behavior. i can't understand how he can continue to "love" michael, who is nothing more than a petulant child moiuthing off to everyone and constantly whining about everything and everyone. there is nothing there to love.

brian never knew a mother's love and i think jennifer has wormed her way into his heart with her love and support for him. i think he really loves her and deeply appreciates her and likes getting some mothering he never had. and jen does seem to know when to back off as she did with brian's walking out on justin when he came home and found joan in the pool annex.

this is my very favorite story and i am soooo glad i found it!!!

Author's Response:

Sorry for the long delay in asnwering this review.  I agree Mel & Linds have too many issues of their own to deal with Gus.  Mel let her jealousy and dislike of Brian to warp her feeling for Gus.  I always think something in Ben likes being the "parent/adult" in his relationship with Michael.  Jen and Brian had some moments early in their relationship but I think now they really appreciate each other.  Jennifer love the mother role and is happy to embrace Brian, she understand how his childhood damaged him.  I am really happy yu are enjpinmg my long saga.  Thanks for your nice comments.  Bill

Wow.  What a fantastic chapter.  Love how you got Melanie to rethink her position in regards to Gus and how Lindsay was responsible for the change.  Maybe there is hope for them there.  Mikey seems to have tunnel vision.  Thankfully Ben doesn't.  I can't get over Mikey thinking that Brian should help him get custody of JR when he doesn't have the time or means to take care of her.  Can't wait for the next chapter in this saga!!

Author's Response:

My friend you have been with me since the beginning of this long saga.  I am always so grateful for your support!!!!  As I thought about the custody battle it seemed to me that there was no way M&L could win.  Linds is still dealing with her issues from childhood abuse.  I had a friend that had been sexually abused as a child.  He told me when those memories were "locked away" in his mind he could deal with it.  When he tried to open up that roo and resolve those issues he had a very difficult time and was never able to "lock them" away again.  He ended off jumping off a bridge and killing himself.  He is the basis for my Lindsay issues.  Mikey is unchaging, something we can always depend on.  Thanks for your review, I always look forward to them!!!!!!  Bill

My Sweet Baboo, Happy to see this new chapter, still waiting to see Justin's granny. I hope she loves Brian I think the babies will win her over. Surprised Mel realized not only is this good for Gus but for Linz as well. Linz is not mentally well enough to be the mom that Gus needs but mikey wants Brian to pay his lawyer for JR to live with mikey but wants his mother to actually raise her so he can be with her but not spening any money. Unless I've forgotten something I think he still works for Brian (doesn't really work, just mostly shuffles around) he isn't really parent materal it's just a way to be with Brian.Joan's storyline is conflicted for me she was an abused wife, but never stopped the hell Brian was going thru, I know she is old and sick but in my head I keep hearing her words "God gae you cancer for a reason" she really hurt him. LOVE SALLY

Author's Response:

Mt Darling Sally, always so happy to see your review!!!!! I thought I would get to Granny in this chapter but there was a lot of other stuff so she will be featured in the next update.  I agree about Mel & Linds.  Mikey first thought is always how something affects him.  Mikey thinks Deb could raise JR and Brian can support her.  Gotta love him cause you sure can't like him.  Even now Joan is not really ready to accept Brian for who he is.  She talked about his choice to be gay.  She needs to work that rehab progam a little harder.  Thanks for the nice comments. Another amazing chapter. Mel really is living in her own world but Lindsey is worse isn't she. I'm glad the right decision was made about Gus though. Michael, what can I say about his behavior and what he wants. There is no words strong Enough to say how nuts he is , is there. I love Jennifer she really knows how to be around Joan she handles that perfectly. Gus is such an amazing big brother I can't wait to see more interactions with him and the others.

Fantastic work x

Author's Response:

Thanks for all the nice commenst. I think M&L kind of bring out the worst in each other.  I think we can be glad that Lindsay is honest enough to know she isn;t equipped to deal with Gus while she is having her emtional issues.  Mikey is dependably self-centered making everything about himself.  Gus is in a great position with older cousins to play with and younger siblings to take care of.  He is a happy little guy.  Hope you continue tp enjoy the story!!!  Hugs,  Bill

Lindsay's selfishness means that she does not feel capable of managing the children and Mélanie will surely finally realize the great support of Brian and Justin as much financial as emotional because they first think of Gus and not to them. But I am delighted that Gus lives in this wonderful family with his dads.

I may be mean, but I would like the arrogance of the so-called best friend to make him lose his job and find him managing JR who is not an easy child because Mélanie favored her.

Now I look forward to meeting Justin's grandmother, she must be a character.

The conversation between Jennifer and Joan was interesting and I think Joan is starting to understand everything she has lost. Brian can forgive her for him but certainly doesn't need to see her again.

Author's Response:

I agree Lindsay has always been selfish IMO.  She is also dealing with emotional issues and that is not a good combination.  I think Mel is starting to realize how difficult it will be to manage with B&J's support.  Mikey can't really manage his won life let alone a child's.  With their long history Brian looks on Mikey as a brother.  He is never surprised by Mikey's actions and usually not bothered by them either.  I think Granny will prove to be very interesting.  I think Joan is like Craig she wants forgiveness on her own terms.  Thanks for the comments, I enjoyed them!!!   Bill

I love how Brian does know and realize he is loved these days
Lindsays response to Mel about the custody of Gus sounds like depression or something worse disinterest

Author's Response:

Lindsay still has lot of issues.  Sometimes when past abuse is not supressed any longer it is hard to deal with.  I think Brian is surprised and amazed by his life when he realizes how many people care about him.  Thanks for all your support!!!  I appreciate it!!  Bill

Ok brutal honesty I wanted to read that custody battle so bad, this was kind of let down. That being said I get why you fizzled it, so I will be sad for 24 hours and then I will get over it.

I love Gus and the babies, and I love Gus reading to Justin and his talks with Justin are some of my favorite parts of this story.

ok granny has furniture, now we just need to meet her, I believe she will love Gus, John, and Peter as much as Lily and Liam.

I have never been a forgive and forget person so Joan I don’t think Brian needs to forgive his life is PERFECT without her in it.

i do believe the custody of Gus will prove to be an issue for J. R. I am just not how that is going to play out my only hope is Michael DOES NOT end up with her because then she is Debbie’s headache.

Now I am going back to rereading In Sickness and In Health for the 50th time, maybe by the time I reread everything there will be another chapter...

Author's Response:

I was planning on a battle but I realized there really was no hope for Linds & Mel to retain custody, that was a lat minute substitution. Gus is a happy guy: he has big boy cousins to play with, baby brother and sister to take care of and full time access to Daddy & Papa.  I think Granny will be lots of fun!!  To me Joan is like Craig she wants forgiveness on her own terms.  Still thinks being gay is a choice.  She needs to work at true acceptance.  JR does knid of get shortchanged with Gus living with B&J but sometimes life isn't fair.  I am impressed if you have really read those 100 chapters 50 times.  I occasionally reread a chapter to refresh something in my mind but have never reread the whole story.  I will try to do better with updating.  Always look forward to your comments, Thanks!!!!  Bill

Hey Bill. I'm STILL reading this story, although I don't comment as much as I should. Usually, it's in passing on the way to someplace, or just as I'm sitting down to write myself. Yours is the only story I actually take a break for immediately when it's updated... the rest of this thought goes without saying since you know me.

Anyway, I'm glad to see that Lindsay- in a sense- talked some sense into Melanie. Although if I'm honest, I didn't expect any less from Lindsay. Her selfishness- no matter that it's medical in this iknstance- knows no bounds, and anything which takes the focus off of herself is just another nuisance. So yeah... No major suprises there. It's going to be interesting to see how Mel handles everything, especially in terms of her work schedule while Ms. Muffett keeps sitting on her Tuffett, especially in regards to picking up JR from some sort of daycare.

I think she'll find that she and Lindsay have very different meanings regarding the word partnership. But solely back to Melanie for a bit. Her wanting to battle for custody of Gus was NEVER about the little boy, but just her need to be right and to have something continually hanging over Brian's head like an anvil. Since it couldn't be his money, or need for her legal services she chose the ONE thing- the one PERSON- that would get him to take notice of her supposed importance...Gus!

I can't tell you what I really think of her selfish actions because this is a public site. But trust me when I tell you that the amount of profanity I would use to describe her would even make Jesus take a second look even with knowing me...LOL So suffice it to say that I really hate women like her, who are all about self absorption and don't hesitate to use a child to see to their own ends. But, that said I too, am wondering just how Melanie is going to make ends meet now.

Enter Mealymouth Michael Charles Novotny-Bruckner! He has absolutely NO EXCUSE not to support his little clone now. After all due to Deb's tears, he's working at Kinnetik... well for the interim, I hope <raised eyebrow, and some serious begging to commence in 5...4...3...2...>. It pissed me off to the highest point of pissitivity when he said that 'Brian always gave Mel and Linds cash so why shouldn't he help us out.  I am his best friend and he can certainly afford it.' How dare that little mot.. see what almost happened there?

As you already know, my feelings for Michael are NOT tamed in the slightest. But this right here...!!! And what pisses me off even more is that no matter who tries to tell him that he should be supporting his own daughter- the same child he nearly milked his testicle to death to eke out- he still comes up with saying that 'Brian can afford it.' Honestly, that's who should have been Melanie's target all along, and then perhaps she wouldn't be worried now about how she's going to make that claptrap of a household work without Gus in it.

As for Joan... <insert deep sigh here> She is trying, and since I'm a firm believer that forgiveness is for YOU and not the other person, I really hope that Brian can and will forgive Joan. However, I've also learned that you can truly forgive someone and STILL not want anything to do with them. So if that's the tract Brian must take for his own sanity, then he's entitled to it without fear of rejection and reprisal and Joan will just have to accept that. But I was glad that she and Jennifer had an honest talk. I do believe that it gave Joan a lot to think about in terms of her views about Brian and Justin's relationship. At least she's FINALLY recognizing that what they have is strong and good for Brian; that should at least count for something.

I'm certainly looking forward to more of this story, especially being surprised by Granny's visit. If she's anything like my grandmother was, Brian is in for a real treat in terms of her honesty and a lot of laughs in terms of her bluntness. Perhaps he will have met his match in sarcasm? LOL, time will tell!

HAPPY WRITING and HUGS,

~Nichelle

Author's Response:

So nice to hear from you!!!  Hope you are well and dealing with Covid, sure is a crazy time.  Lindsay seems to know just had f-up she is and know Gus would be better taken care of by Brian and Justin.  I have always felt Lindsay is a really selfish person who just looks for what she can get from people.

You gotta love Mikey, he is one thing we can really count on in this world.  He never chnages, never learns, never grows.  Even Debbie is getting tired of his behavior.  I don't think Mel has ever asked Mikey for support money, she didn't need his little contribution when Brian was supporting their whole household.  To me Joan is like Craig - they wnat forgiveness on their terms.  She told Jennifer she didn't approve of Brian's life style CHOICES.  I think if Joan really accepts Brian and Justin she could be forgiven.  But a half apology is only good for half forgiveness.  Time will tell where the Joan saga goes from here.

I think of Granny as being Jennifer on steroids so she should be an interesting house guest.  Thanks for taking time to review!!!!  Hugs back to you!!  Bill

wow! linds doesn't want gus after all and mel ended the custody battle without a shot fired! didn't see that coming, but it does make sense. if linds loved gus and her family she wouldn't have selfishly wasted so much of the money brian sent with her gambling, and high balances at the cafeteria and gift shop where she worked in canada and spending on herself rather than her kids. and now she's just so stressed out, she really can't handle the kids full time. wonder if michael will wind up with JR after all if linds can't handle her either... i just hope b/j totally stop financial aid to mel and linds, even for JR. michael has to grow up. hmm, she gets along so well with nina that maybe ted and blake will wind up with two kids!! lol... can't wait to meet granny; that's gonna be a hoot!! so happy that gus is finally with his family that really does love him. brian is worried about 5 kids.... but i can't help remembering there are two more already fertilized eggs... kind of betting justin remembers them too... great job; love the story sooo mcuh!!

Author's Response:

Lindsay still has lots of issues and has trouble taking care of herself let alone anyone else.  Plus I have always felt she is a selfish bitch.  I don't think anyone think Michael would make a good full time caregiver for JR.  Ted and Blake is an interesting idea - I do sometimes steal from reader's comments.   I think Linds & Mel have recieved their last check from the Taylor-Kinney Bank.  I think if Justin even mentioned 2 more children, Brian would run out fo teh house screaming.  I think Granny will be lots of fun!!   Thanks for the review, I LOVE geeting them!!!  Reviews are what keeps me writing this long saga. I never thought it would go on this long.  Bill

Great chapter as always!!   I actually think I'm in shock - Melanie is going to give up Gus without a fight.   And she was truly taken back by what Lindsay had to say about Gus.     And that is the difference between Lindsay and Justin.   He loves having Gus hang out with him in his studio; it gives them time to spend together, plus Justin has given him his own easel and paints to work with.  It's not like he bothers him or hinders him from getting any work done.   And I kind of feel sorry for Joan.   She finally is getting the help she needs, and is changing her tune, and still Brian and Claire want nothing to do with her.   I do understand their feelings about it, though.   It's almost like its too little, too late to make much of a difference.    Hope you are doing well!!

Author's Response:

I think Mel realized she had not hope of winning a custody battle.  Lindsay still has a LOT of issues.  Brian has tried to help Joan and he does give her money each month but as she told Jennifer she doesn't approve of Brian's "choice" of life style.  As long as Joan stays clueless she will stay alone.  I am doing well and dealing with this crazy world we are living in right now.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

had a hard time registering for some reason but wanted to comment on this story. i totally love it!!! i've read and re-read it at least 15 times! it is so wonderful to find a b/j story that isn't buried in angst before they finally figure things out. this is so perfect, taking on michael, mel, and lindsay and i'm loving every minute of it. gus belongs with his daddies and jr belongs anywhere but with brian and justin! would like to see mel lose her current job, finally agree to get some help with her issues and for her and linds and jr to move to florida and leave the kinney family alone. i'd hate to see either of them get back into brian and justin's business. can't wait to meet justin's grandma. i'll be brian winds up loving her but probably not at first! i check several times a day to see if a new chapter is up. i almost can't wait to see how things go with everyone. ty ty ty so much for this series!!!

Author's Response:

Hey Sweet Baboo, Was so happy to see a new chapter. Well first mikey : ugly remains, but dumb is forever. Was so please Joe told him off, mikey only thinks of his self he does care about Deb or his daughter he's looking for a way to reconnect with Brian (not gonna work). So anxious to meet Great Grandma, if she's like Jen Mel and mikey better find a bomb shelter cause hell's coming for them. I was happy Joan is getting help about her drinking problem, as for Claire prison hasn't helped her everything is always someone elses fault she is a female mikey--I don't think the world is ready for both of them. I think Brian would listen to Joan, it would take time to trust her, but Brian and Justin are mature men and have changed over the years they know change can happen if you really want it. Sounds like Mels is mentally fragile: trespassing, going to strike John, being demanding and I bet she gets a visit from mikey she could loose more than her job, she can't do her job and act out like this. Mike could his job as well if goes to Brian, he only has a job bcause Brian loves Debbie I think Brian considers mikey dead to him and if he keeps bothering the Horvaths Brian will just cut him loose. Thanks for a little Kevin time--love that boy! Your Sally

Author's Response:

Hello Darling Sally,  We can always count on Mikey, consistency is his greatest gift.  I am thinking Grannyy will be a lot of fun.  I think Bran will be cautious with Joan but he will listen.  On some level he cares about his mother.  He made arrangemnts for her care when she was hurt.  It will take a while for him to trust her.  Justin will do whatever is best for Brian.  Mel is on the edge for sure.  I think Brian looks om Mikey as a brother.  Lots of good memories but now just kind of annoying.  Kevin has become a popular character since he appeared.  Happy you enjoyed the latest update.  Thanks for your review!!!!  I remain, your Sweet Baboo

great chapter as usual! i check twice everyday just on the chance you would surpise us with a chapter! please whatever you do don't give michael or lindsay a way out of shit! please, um begging you, no last minute realizing how bad they've been, or sudden growing up. specially for michael. he needs to become and remain persona non grata in brian's life. that's the only thing i ask for. pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase!!!! can't wait for the next update. maybe you could surprise us sometime soon! keep it up! and stay safe. xoxo

Author's Response:

No plans for rescue of Mikey or Linds.  Mikey's beauty is his consistency.  Glad you are still enjoying the story, thanks for the review!!!!!!  Bill

Lol the last line of Jennifer getting back to business.
I think Justin and the family will protect Brian

Author's Response:

That little last minute Jennifer/Tucker thought of mine has generated some interest which makes me laugh.  I think you are right Brian has a lot of people supporting & protecting him.  Thanks for the review,  Bill
