Sweet Baboo, hit the submit by accident. I feel sorry for Joan she led a horrible life not so different from Janet except she has just about killed herself with the drinking. Her daughter in jail but to scream at Joan after all the mistakes the daughter is as delusional as weasel boy, Brian was the one that was abused his whole childhood. I'm waiting for Granny to do a smackdown on weasel boy, that will give him a reason to whine.            your loving Sally

Hi Sweet Baboo, Still loving your story.Adore Brian and Justin, but Jen,Granny, and Kevin have become fast favorites, unfortunately the weasel boy is dumber than a rock guess he thought Deb would just throw Joe out. I hope Ted can get the woman who his neighbor talked to do find out about Nina, any body should know that info should never given out .Now for Ken and Janet they truly galling-I kinda felt for Janet but she must have known how controlling Ken was but she has had years where she could have grown a back bone, so she knew this wrong and sadly Ken taught Craig how to control his family but Jen divorced and did'nt care what the family and their friends thought. I think it's so cute Gus and Kevin can calm the twins, especially when Gus sings to them.

Thanks for update!  Glad Justin put the other grandparents in their place.  I hope Michael gets his smackdown soon.  If anyone else was a rude about the owner of the company he works for, he would be fired long ago!!

Looking forward to more,

Deb L.

thought some more after reading comments sympathetic to janet and ken.

janet tries to blame hubby and sons for her ignoring justin and molly for so many years. but for me the bottom line is that if you know your grandson was almost killed  in a bashing incident and did NOTHING to find out about his condition, you clearly show you don't really care what happens deep down. NOTHING on this planet would keep jennifer away if one of her grandson's were injured and i think that is true of most grandparents. janet is more concerned about staying married to a dominant man and not disrupting her comfortable (to Her) lifestyle that she deserves no sympathy at all to me. unlike joan, she clearly knew ken was wrong in keeping her away from justin when he was bashed, but let it happen anyway. she, her husband and sons are worth nothing but disgust and to blame their behavior on their precious old testment makes it even worse. too many people use the bible to justify their actions and some of them, like ken, janet, craig and the other worthless son, slam up hard against karma, as they deserve to.

Hey Bill, hope you are doing well!!

I am very proud of Joan.   I think she has really come a long way and is definitely turning things around.   And if she continues the way she is, maybe she can try and reach out to Brian again.   I know they have a ways to go, and there are a lot of issues to work through, but I really think the two of them can actually have an honest to goodness talk and maybe even make some progress.   I guarantee it would go a lot better than that chat between Justin and his grandfather...   LOL

This is a lot to unload . What is going on with Lindsay? Poor Ted having to deal with busybodies. I'm waiting for Mikey to do the next stupid thing.

So fantastic to see a new chapter of this amazing story. I feel for JR she deserves to have a better home life just like Gus is getting. Debbie is doing a wonderful job with her and Mel and Linds need to be careful and be thankful that. Brian and Justin have been through so much so it's great seeing the good people in their life stay and the bad get weeded out. Nina is such a wonderful little girl and Ted and Blake love her so I hope that wicked woman across the road gets dealt with. There are so many emotions and beautiful moments in this. Fantastic work as always x

well, that was quite a chapter! justin and molly handled things perfectly with craig's parents. glad they will not get to see the kids and spread their venom.

brian's confession to granny about seeing justin lying on the garage floor proves that he loves and accepts granny as a valuable addition to his family and clearly believes she loves them all.

was very glad ted contacted brian's lawyer about the busy body across the street. should be fairly easy to find out who "bev" is and take appropriate measures. would like to see both bev and the neighbor sued. that would teach a good lesson.

i loved how tillie has taken joan under her wing and even gladder the joan allowed that to happen. joan needs some help from the parish priest to help her understand that brian and justin's relationship is not an abomination. joan needs a firm introduction to the new testament. joan seems really motivated to stay sober and i hope can start to have her grandson's around again. brian is a good man and he will forgive joan if he sees real progress. he talks tough but he really is a softie, especially when it comes to family.

mel has serious issues regarding males, as well as many others. it was nice to see debbie climb all over her when complained about "joey" being around JR. as i think about it, debbie rarely really goes off on family but recently she has seriously jumped both michael and melanie and it was good to see.

also glad it looks like kate's lawyer will be disbarred. not sure exactly what can be done to the law firm, but i would think granny could, and should, sue them into bankruptcy. she certainly has grounds to do it. and the best thing to do with them it hit them in the pocketbook and provide the bad publicity of a court trial to make other clients run to new law firms.

also happy to see that brian enjoyed his return to work altho he does miss being home with the twins and his family.

i really want to see what happens when brian and justin go to pick up all gus' clothes and toys from the munchers...

great chaper!!

Joan has come a long way.  Not so Craig's father.  Brian has found piece with Justin and his kids.  Shame Michael is stuck in his believe that Brian can't possible be happy.  Poor Ted, I'm looking forward to reading what you give us concerning the nosy neighbor.

Reviewer: marie-france (Signed) · Date: April 18, 2021 09:43 AM · On: Chapter 31

So happy to see an update. Hope everything went well and you will start enjoying your home.

Mélanie is crazy! I think she's trying to get locked up by attacking Debbie like that. Michael is also going to get lost in his fantastic life, I am waiting for the moment when it will happen.

It's sad for Janet to agree to follow her husband even when she wants to know her grandchildren, but for what reasons? She must feel lonely. I don't know her situation but she should take Granny's example and take charge of her life without Ken but I think it's too late for that.

I had a tear when Brian spoke about Justin's assault, it's so deep in him this pain.

I hope Ted knows the right people and Anabel Harper is one, to silence the neighbor and prevent her from harming more people.

Life is always happy at the Taylor-Kinney's and I hope Joan can take advantage of it on a few occasions, Christmas, birthdays, we'll see but I think she's very aware of what she's done but she deserves it. let him open the door a little. The nephews can help and Tillie is a good person to helpher too.

.That's it and I'm already waiting for the next update. Take care of you.

Melanie=Meanie love it!!!

Reviewer: shf1210 (Signed) · Date: April 18, 2021 03:52 AM · On: Chapter 31

I knew the Taylor grandparents were where their sons learned their hate, and that they would be unable to accept Brian.

Brian talking to Granny about the bashing was so out of character for Brian and could only happen with someone who also truly loves Justin.

i hope Ted finds out who talked and gets them fired and the neighbor in trouble, the neighbor reported all to my Mom about me and my sisters got extra eggs at Halloween...

I loved Brian’s short day back at work he snubbed Mikey and fired someone and may bring Gus with him to work soon (that might need to happen next chapter) and then he comes home kisses everyone and almost burps a baby in his suit.

Mel and Linds are up to something I don’t know what but I feel sorry for JR already...

i guess I end with Joan, I don’t like her, I don’t trust her and I worry her getting on Debbie and Jens good side will have them doing something stupid to Brian.

Now please go write Gus going to work with Daddy I need to read that SOON!

i know how much I hate moving so I hope yours was better then any of mine and you are now all moved in and can write the next chapter...

Reviewer: HJ1225 (Signed) · Date: April 18, 2021 12:45 AM · On: Chapter 31

YAY!!!!  My begging for a new chapter that I did to my computer screen yesterday resulted in a new chapter!!!

I feel for Janet, but she did sort of bring this on herself. She made the choice of being subservient and letting her bigoted closed-minded asshole husband not give a damn about her feelings. And she continues to allow it to happen, so she must not really want her grandchildren in her life.  Or at least not Justin & Molly. It just makes me appreciate Jennifer all the more that she had the strength to not allow that to happen to her and loving her children more than willing to settle for a comfortable life with a controlling bigoted asshole. Maybe Janet will grow a spine, but I doubt it. Her loss.

Had to laugh at your typo calling Melanie Meanie. LOL  I recently read that typo in another story and thought how appropriate the typo was. Meanie is just out of control. Deb was right in the fact that Meanie just hates males, no matter the age which led to the mistreatment of Gus and the spoiling of her daughter by making Gus pay for JR's misdeeds.  That is how she feels about men, she is all about blaming males for her mistakes, fuck-ups and hatefulness. She really needs a psychiatrist right along with her cra-cra bitch of a wife.  And wow, I feel like I am really cussing a lot this evening, but when the words fit, they fit.

Speaking of bitches, poor Ted having to deal with that trouble-making, gossiping bitch neighbor of his.  Glad he stood his ground and let Sybil know he didn't like her thinking that either, even if it was for just a moment. Ted is a good father and a good man and he did not deserve that at all.  I wouldn't have told the biddy anything and served her with a slander lawsuit since she was spreading vicious lies about Ted & Blake. But Ted is way nicer than me.  As I have mentioned before, I'm a vindictive bitch myself. LOL

Loved the trust that Brian has of Granny and love how much she loves the kids (especially Gus) and how happy she is living there.  I was actually wondering if there was any news about Kate's unethical lawyer. Glad to know that they are still trying to make that disbarment happen.

Creepy  is as delusional as ever. Loved Brian enjoying his day at work.

I'm glad Joan is rejoining the world a bit. Tilly is a good woman. I was surprised that Joan went to talk to Deb, but it was a good talk. I don't know if she can ever truly be forgiven or not but I thought it showed a lot of growth in how she is currently viewing things. But who knows what she will think or say next time.  I do believe in redemption for some, not sure if Joanie deserves it, but I am glad to see her growth today and the knowledge and acknowledgement of the horrible things she has done in her life and her understanding it will probably be impossible for her victims to forgive or want to be in her life.

I have to admit that I teared up in two places in this chapter; 1) when Brian told Granny he still can see Justin on the garage floor, and 2) when Joan started crying (never thought I would cry for her -- okay, I'm a crier, don't even let me near a Hallmark movie).

Great chapter!! Thank you for posting.  Can't wait for a new chapter!

Hope your move went well and you are all settled in at your new house.

Author's Response:

Move was good, still some unpacking to do.  It is very hard to change the habits of a lifetime, Janet doesn't see, to be making any changes.  Joan on the other hand seems to be making needed changes.  Several people seem to enjoy my unintentional categorization of Melanie.  She doesn't seem to realize her life is wildly off course.  I think Ted will come out on top with his neighborhood dispute.   Brian knows that Granny is genuine and that she really loves two of the mopst important people in his life:  Justin & Gus.   You really have a pick against poor Mikey.  He knows he is right even if the rest of world doesn't realize it.  Joan is really making positive changes to her life.  I hope it continues.  Very falttering that I can move you to tears, thank you!!!  Always move to ready your comments!!!  Bill

Well those grandparents are something else.  Don't like them at all.  Hope there are big changes in them.  I hope Michael says something about Justin again so Brian can punch him and fire him.  I so dislike that so call man.  I am very suspious of Lindsay, this all of a sudden looking after Jenny Rebecca and keeping house.  I think she is trying to win Brian and Justin over so she can say how much JR misses Gus and can he come and visit and then she kidnaps him.  Don't trust her at all, she's nuts.  I hope no one falls for any of her antics.  So sorry for such a long thought, and for a delay in reviewing but just like before if something unpleasant happens in my life I start this saga from the beginning. Thanks again for your update and this wonderful story.

Sorry not to have replied sooner.  The Meeting with the Taylor h-grandparents did not go well.  Lindsay is a trouble soul.  Thanks for your comments!!!!!!  I do love to get reviews.  Bill

Reviewer: mary48 (Signed) · Date: March 22, 2021 12:19 PM · On: Chapter 30

i have no symapthy for janet and ken. they funtion as fairly normal people only when they are in their safe little white, hetero bubble of protection. expose them to the real world and they are just as bad as craig. you reap what you sow and they deserve to be kept out of justin's life. actions have consecquences and there should be consecquences for janet and ken... and michael, mel and linds. if you want to spend your life being nasty and judgmental and out for everything you can get and do your best to turn gus from brian, don't expect hugs and kisses from those you have hurt.

if anyone deserves some understanding for bad behavior, i think it is joan. she never in her life knew how differently people could act from her mother and jack and what a real family was like. she has no self confidence and no idea that change is possible for her. i'm hoping tilly and the parish priest can help her find a better road to travel.

like some of the qaf characters, too many people in this country today think they can be as nasty and hateful as they want to anyone who doesn't agree with them, just like the ones in this story, and that it is ok. it isn't and i find it disgusting. i don't have much tolerance for irrational people with closed minds.

like mel and her thought about "no more private school for JR" when Brian got custody of gus... public school is fine for other kids, but not her daughter. nothing but a fucking hypocrit.... like so many others...

Author's Response:

My spologies for somehow missing your review earlier.  Janet and Ken did not have a very good meeting with their grandchildrens.  More on Joan in the next chapter.  Mel has many issues,  Thanks as always for your comments.  They are always food for thought.  Bill

Poor Mikey, you wish such bad things for him.  He remains sure he is correct and the rest of the world is wrong.  You made me laugh...  your sweet Baboo

Reviewer: bktush (Signed) · Date: March 14, 2021 08:48 AM · On: Chapter 30

Hi Sweet Baboo, my vote is Janet and Ken 0 the Taylor Kinneys 100   ! Janet is acting like a loving grandmother but is blaming her husband and late son as an excuse. She was a grown woman and no one had a gun to her head, as far as Ken goes he is every bit the homophobe and lives to have people fear his power. Send them home, angry or not, don't need anymore homophobes from the Taylors, Molly and Justin would just stress and Brian would angry has hell. Ken wouln't be able to hide his true feelings from the family although I'd like think of Jen and Granny getting into a mud fest with Ken and Janet, I know Jen and Granny would win! I got my covid first shot today, hope you got yours. By the way moving to another state or town? Love you S. Baboo, Your Sally always.

Author's Response:

Darlinf Sally, so sorry to be so late in replying.  Life has been busy, moving SUCKS!!!  I agree that Janet has given at least tacit support to the life view of Craig & Ken.  I moved to a different town then last residence but I now live less than a mile from where I grew up.  Kind of funny to be back here so many years leter.  Some things the same, many things different.  Drive past my old grade school almost every day.  Also got my 2 vaccine shots so that is a good thing.  Hope all is good with you.  I remain as always, your sweet Baboo

i reread this chapter again and am now thinking that craig's mother is just as bad as her husband in her thinking... from some of the comments she made at lunch... she just covers it up better. i don't think either one of them deserve to be in the twins lives.

Author's Response:

The Taylors have not learned from past events and are in danger of being being ostracized by the Taylor-Kinney family.  We can't forget they raised Craifg and supported his view of Justin & Brian.  They have a lot to relearn or will be alone.  Bill

ya know, i find as much as i detest michael, that i agree with another reader about michael needing psychiatric help. if anyone really loves him, meaning deb or ben, they should get in into see a shrink. i have never met anyone on this planet who is so blind to the truth and oblivious to what others say and think. either that or he needs a lobotomy.... lmao

Blake has suggested counseling to Miket a few times but he is certain he is correct about his view of life.  The rest of the world is mistaken!!  Bill

Loved the new chapter.  I had nearly given up hope. I knew you were getting ready to move but was desperately missing this story. Thanks for posting!

Ken Taylor is just like his son, which is a very bad thing. I feel for Janet, but she will never get the chance of being able to be a part of Justin's family if she and Ken don't hear and understand what they will have to do to be a part of it. I thought Justin laid it out very well what it will take for that to happen.  Now, will they listen and learn or will we see a replay of Craig's so-called attempt at reconciliation?  I can't wait to find out.

Loved Molly and her support. I liked that she made Justin think about the request from the Taylors and I had to smile at the narrowing of her eyes at the Taylors and looking like Jen when she did so.

Creepy is just down the rabbit hole. Where are the men in white coats carrying a strait jacket to take him to a padded room.?

What is going on with Lindsay.  Such a huge turnaround. The fact that Deb has a bad feeling is making me very concerned. I so need to know right now!!! ;-)

I'm glad that Jay is standing up for himself but doing it in a reasonable, knowledge-based way.

I have missed this story. I know you are incredibly busy but I hope you can squeeze in a new chapter soon.

Great chapter!

Author's Response:

Ho Holly, happy to know you enjoyed the latest chapter.  The Taylors seem kind of clueless.  They need to understand that Justin and his family do not need them and need to adjust course if they want to be included in that family.  Molly loves her brother and she is her mother's daughter, strong and confident.  Mikey is like the rock of Gibralter firm and unmoving.  I don't think Lindsay's chnage is really a good thing.  Jay is getting good advice from his new friend, Peter.  Peter is getting good advice from his Papa and Grandmom.  Andrea is not getting any good advice.  My intentions are always to update quickly but somehow that diesn't happen.  I apologize.  Thanks for your comments I enjoy reading them.  Bill

I love how Mikey lives in his own alternative reality. The Taylors have got some nerve. You can love your son and not abandon your grandchildren.

Author's Response:

Mikey is a firm inhabitant of Mikey World!!!  The abandoned their grandson, they did send a gift to Molly but it was returned by her mother letting them know her children were an all or nothing deal.  Thanks for taking time to review!!!  Bill

Wow, that was a decent cliffy! I hope it works out, they seem pretty old and pathetic and need some sort of family ties. Ken is being kind of arrogant atm but that could be rectfied by a few quik kick in the shins by the wife. And honestly, what old, white, (well off?) male isn't at least a little arrogant?

Both the G-'rents seem to also have been fooled by Craig's misinformation which makes them victims too. I hope it works out

Sorry that Mikey continues to spiral down the rabbit hole to Wonderland and madness. That's a pity.

Author's Response:

I guess that is true about old, white males being a little arrogant is true but I try my best to comtrol it!   You have a lot of sympathy for the senior Taylors, you have me considering a different outcome for them.  Mikey is dependable, not sensible.  Thanks for the comments!!!!!  Bill

Hi ! Glad to see an update. Good luck with the move, it's always quite stressful even if you prepare as well as possible.

There is a lot going on in this chapter and it leaves a lot of questions. The Taylor grandparents are like Craig especially Ken and I think they lost their chance to meet the twins. Even Molly seeing Ken's behavior understood why her brother was so reluctant. I don't see this improving.

Michael is a big liar who never sees that his immature behavior will end up falling on him. Already when he says that his landlady does not go to Liberty Avenue, it's rotten since he got the accommodation by the GLC. And if he reports rumors about Justin to Kinnetic and it happens to Cynthia or Brian's ears he's going to be fired. Maybe he needs to be on his own and with nothing to finally grow up, we'll see what you do with him because I already told you you're too nice to Michael, finding him all kinds of apologies when he doesn't deserve them LOL

I'm also waiting to see, like Debbie, what Lindsay is up to and if it's something about her art, she must not forget that she stole the Bloom Gallery and that especially Sydney is angry with her a lot of her. behaviour. Jay follows his path, listening to Peter and Jen's advice on resisting his mother.

So many questions and while waiting for the answers, good luck and stay safe.

Author's Response:

You are correct stressful for sure.  Craig seemed to have learned his behavior at his father's knee.  Ken says he believed his son's version of events, probably becasue he agreed with it.  Mikey didn't move to the moon and you are correct his landlady is going to find out about his lies.  Lindsay's behavior continues to be odd, we'll have to wait and see what happens there.  Andrea is no doubt regretting Jay evermet Peter or spent time with the Taylor-KInneys.  Happy to know you are still reading and enjoying.  Thanks!!!  Bill

Great update.  I would have thought Justin and Molly would have walked out on lunch several times with the remarks his grandparents made.  I hope they can make them see the truth, but I fear that it may b too late.

Author's Response:

I must reiterate how much I love this saga.  I'm hoping it never ends!

Author's Response:

Always happy to see an update by you.  Craig's parents seem to believe Craig's version of what happened over what really happen.  This does not bode well for them.  Love that Molly is with Justin 100%.  Linds has mellowed perhaps with the aid of pills?  Can't wait to see what happens next.  Moving will make it harder to work on additional chapters, but I know you can do it.

Author's Response:

Always happy to see your review, don't consider a chapter complete without it.  Dad especially seems pretty invested in Brian as child molester.  I don't see him ready to accept all of Justin's family.  Molly really does love her brother and of curse she really loves Brian too!  I think you are on to something with that "pills" idea, time will tell.  Beem busy painting, will be happy when move is done - end of this week, fingers crossed!  Thanks for all your suppport,  Bill

I think Ken and Janet have their work cut out for them...   With Janet, I see that she is trying with Justin, but Ken, he really seems set in his ways and not one for change.    But I am glad that Justin and Molly are having this get together with them now to find out how they truly feel about Justin and his family, and depending on their response, just let it go and move on.

I do wonder about Lindsay, though.   Debbie had the feeling that something was off about her, and Debbie is usually spot on about these kinds of things.  I'm looking forward to finding out where this part of the story is headed...

On another note, I hope all is going well with preparations for the move and it all goes well!!!

Author's Response:

Yeah, I'm not feeling the love from PaPaw.  He is not going to pass Brian bullshit test.  I feel sorry for Janet, I think she is looking for family to fill the void in her life.  Yeah I think there are still some issues with Lindsay, the pendulum seems to have swong quickly to domestic life.  Can't see it lasting.  Not as prepared as I hoped but all will be good.  Thanks for the good thoughts.  Always happy to see your review and know you are still reading and enjoying!!!  Bill

Ok I missed this but I hope your move goes well, mine was a nightmare I would only wish on those I don’t like...

Mikey not sure why you wasted lines in this chapter, but I admit I look forward to him being fired by Brian.

Jay the kid is growing a backbone which is a good thing for him and bad for his Mom I see him at 50/50 with Mom and Dad soon because something else is going to come up where Mom can’t get him...

Brian and Justin and time alone, maybe soon they go back to those once a week dinners...

Memaw and Papaw, I admit I hate weird nicknames for Grandparents but these people deserve these dumb ones since they can’t get the clues Justin and Molly are throwing in their lap ACCEPT BRIAN or forget you have great grandchildren period end of sentence.

They bought into Craig’s lies and don’t seem to remember just how smart Justin is to the point they think he would fall in love with someone who would do what Craig suggested.

i can’t wait for more, because I think next chapter Brian should go back in the office and maybe someone will be fired....

I have moved a lot.  Always think I am well organized until the moves gets close!!  You seem to dislike poor Mikey, he just wants what is best for Brian  - or at least his version of what is best.  Jay has had a taste of real life and he liked it a lot.  Mom is not going to be able to get him under her thumb again.  I have known people called Memaw & Pepaw - seems more popular in the southern USA.  I went with PaPaw.  Whatever their names, Ken seems pretty clueless about what he needs to do to be a par of his great grandchildrens lives.  Their family loyalty deos seem to favor the son over any other members of the family.  Always interesting to read your comments!!!!!  Thanks,  Bill

Super.

Bill

an interesting chapter. the way michael runs his mouth, i'm pretty sure he will get caught out in his lies to his new landlady.

jenifer and peter gave jay very good advice and it seems to be working with andrea, so maybe there is hope for them yet.

i don't see craig's parents getting to see the children the way craig's father is acting. doesn't seem like he will ever accept brian and probably not have much interest in gus, john or peter either.

lindsay's complete turnaround was a surprise and i think debby is right to be suspicious of this new behavior.

when is gus going to get his clothes and toys? doesn't seem like that has happened yet. jr seems to be more accepting of gus' disappearance from her life. wonder if that will last...

can't wait to see how mel and linds are doing without gus and for lindsey to show justin and sidney her "artwork". and is lindsay so relaxed without gus that she has started acting like a wife and mother?

so many irons in the fire and so interested in seeing how it all plays out.

glad you are making your new home beautiful but hope you don't forget your loyal readers...  hugs

i'm assuming ben will file for divorce.

Author's Response:

Since Flossie has some connection to the GLC ceneter, she advertised the room there, there is an excellent chnace she will mett someone who knows Michael or Debbie.  Andrea not taking gthe chnages in her son's behavior in a positive manner.  Still kind of an uphill battle.  Craig might have ;earned his baehvaior at his father's knee.  Good point about Gus's belongings, he will want his toys.  I think I have the correct person in mind to retrieve them for him.  I don't think Lindsay just got a new attitude for no reason.  Maybe Linds and Mel came up with a good story about Gus's absence for JR.  I think Linds is till anticipating a show at Bloom Gallery, not sure that will happen.  Ben has been pretty forgiving of Mikey in the past.  Hopefully will have more time for writing once the mpve is done.  Thanks for your comments I always rnjoying reading them!!!!  Bill

Great chapter.

I loved the confrontation between Brian and Creepy. I seriously think Creepy needs to be institutionalized, he just seems to be sinking more and more into comic hero and supervillains fantasy world. Even with Brian telling him he is starting to hate him, Creepy still thinks he needs to be saved as if he was a damsel in distress due to Boy Wonder, the Supervillain. I know you always say that we can always depend upon Creepy being the same, but there comes a time when people (characters) have to think that Creepy needs serious help with his delusions and living in comic fantasy land. There is something seriously wrong with him not being able to face that fact.  Psychiatric help is desperately needed.  JMHO

I really loved that Molly and Granny had some one on one time and I loved how Molly handled her grandparents surprise visit. She is maturing nicely and knows and respects her brother and his reactions to things. I will be interested in her conversation with J&B about the Taylors seeing the twins.  I got a little smile when Granny did her sly little dig about staying with Justin and his family.

Loved the one on one time that B&J got to have and loved seeing Emmett & Rusty.

I'm wondering what is going on in Lindsay, Mel, Ben and the Horvath's lives.  Would love to catch up on them too if you feel like writing some on them.

Loved the chapter and anxiously awaiting more!!

Author's Response:

Holly, so sorry not to have replied sooner.  Somehow I missed seeing this review.  Mikey is an interesting character, so sure he is correct about his view of Brian when all evidence is to the contrary.  By now you probably know how the Taylor gransparents meeting is progressing.  Also there are some of the catchups you requested, sorry again for my later response!!!!!  Bill

Reviewer: auggie (Signed) · Date: February 06, 2021 12:08 AM · On: Chapter 29

Well I guess they thought they could just show up and that's that.  I really am not surprised.  I don't think Justin will let them see the babies so fast just because they did this. So proud of Molly but no surprise there either.  Thank you for all of your updates, I know life has to go on no matter how much we would like the updates  more regularly, I am grateful.  Please never change the way you write Brian and Justin so loving, strong and together.  I will always love this saga and silly as it might sound it has gotten me thru two deaths, one of which was my daughter.  When I was feeling so down I would just start to read it again because even with the problems that come into their lives they have their family and their love.  I will always come back to read this over and over.  Thank you again for this.

Author's Response:

I don't think any comments have touched me as much as this one.  What a lovely and generous compliment to say my story helped you cope with such a deveastating loss.  Thank you so much for telling me that!!!!  The Taylor grandparents do not know their grandson too well to think he would respond well to an ambush visit.  Molly may surprise you, she has some fond memories of her Taylor grandparents.  Of course she would never not support Justin.  Again I want to say how much I appreciate your comments and I feel proud I could help you cope in some small way.  I like happy stories and you can be assured my Brian and Justin will always have a strong connection!!!  All my best to you!!!!!!!!  Bill

Author's Response:

I know I am not the best at updating, I could say I made a new years resolution to do better but I don't belive in them.  Molly might surprise you......  Thanks for the review, I do love to get them and that is why I keep  adding to this long saga, it has been going for 7 years which I find hard to believe!!!   Bill

Thanks for perservering to leave a review.  Mikey is someone we can always depend on, he is always competely clueless.  Ken and Janet may cause some family friction and we can't forget they reaised Craig.  Thanks for letting me know you are still enjoying the story, I appreciate it.  Bill

Yes there was confusion at this end as well and I tried to send you a FB message.  So glad to have you back, I was truly concerned.  In this crazy time you never know what will happen.  I get my first vaccine shot next Tuesday.  Welcome back Darling Sally!!! As always your sweet Baboo.

good morning Sweet Baboo, I think Ken and Janet have a lot of gall to try and spring their self on Justin, it proves their about as stupid as Craig. They believed all the crap that Craig told as the truth, their meeting with Jen should have made them think twice before just appearing, kinda hope Justin and Brian won't meet with them, they never gave Justin a thought for years or Molly. Now with Craig gone they want to connect it's far to late to turn loving grandparents, Justin and Brian have survied a lot and don't need two-faced relatives bargeing into their happiness.Of course the mental midget is still around I just wish Brian would demote him to janitor, it's not a good idea for him to be in reception and talking garbage when new clients are around. I love your stories.Love your Sally

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, Well they did raise Craig & Brad - not a parenting recommendation!!  Justin would have no trouble kicking them to the curb but I suspect Molly might feel differently.  We'll just have to wait and see what happens.  We know Brian, Jennifer & Granny will be on the kicking team!  I always think of Mikey as deoendable, always the same, but not in a good life afirming way.  Glad to you back!!!!  As always your sweet Baboo

i didn't say anything about the "flavor"  of the story changing and not sure where that came from. my disappointment stems almost entirely from the long times betwween chapters. to me, that indicates losing interest in the story. and with so many very interesting irons in the fire right now, i hoping for more of that and less fluff in this chapter.

i'm 73 years old and hope to live long enough to see "the end" at the bottom of a page before i die. i chuckle as i say that, but it is true!

Hi Sweet Baboo, Jay's mother really confuses me I don't know if she's a control freak or a homophobe bbut her son doesn't need to be living with her or he will as messed up as she is. I was really happy Deb chose Joe instead of mikey coming back home.I like Joe he seems to look after Deb and certainly takes far better care of her than her own son, the fact that he stands up to mikey is refreshing. was glad Brian didn't let him used the loft, like he said he paid him a salary he should be able to find himself a place to stay. I always loved the way you wrote Jen, but I swear you have many wonderful characters up like Kevin, and Joe but one of your best is Granny she's a hoot really love her personality even Brian is charmed by her. Love, your Sally

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, I think Andrea is both of those things,  Jay is lucky to have found a friends like Peter.  Peter is smart and does well in school but stillhas time for a life.  I think Jay's stay at the Taylor-Kinney home was an eye opening experience for him.  Deb had developed a life for herself with Carl and they are both enjoying mentoring Joe.  Deb is realizing that Mikey is stuck and is showing some "tough love".  I do love my Grandmom Jen - Morher Taylor.  Kevin, loosely based on a real person, has really become a fan favorite.  I love the character but even more I love how popular he has become.  Granny pulls no punches, I think she will provide us with lots of good times.  Happy to be replying to your review after a period of silence.  That is a big relief to your sweet Baboo!!!!!!

hi sweet Baboo, enjoyed this chapter. I was glad Jay stood his ground with his mother the boy has no friends and must be lonely. I think she uses power to make herself important at the expensive of her child that's abuse in most peoples eyes. I'm convinced that mikey is mentally challenged he's just out of control. love, Sally

Author's Response:

My Darling Sally, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN??????  I have been really upset not to hear from you and was worried something had happened to you.  Glad to see this review!!!!!!!!!!!!  I think Andrea needs a hobby, not a good thing to put all your energy into your child - not good for mother or child.  Jay has seen how life pleasant could be with his visit to the Taylot-Kinney home.  I think Andrea is going to have her hands full tyring to keep him under strict control.  Mikey is something we can always count on, he is unchanging.  So, so, so, happy to see this review.  I missed you!!!!  I remain as always, your sweet Baboo

Everyone had a good weekend. Except Michael who took a shake again but did he understand this time I don't think he's so straight up in his boots full of shit when it comes to Brian, too bad for him, he's going to lose him . I think Justin's reaction is going to be terrible when he finds out about the unauthorized arrival of grandparents Taylor. I can't wait to read more. I read in one of your responses to the comments that you bought a house. I hope you will think of your poor readers every now and then for updates even though I know a house takes a long time. Take care of you..

Author's Response:

I am not completel sure Mikey is capable of really understanding that people change and grow.  I am prettysure you are correct about Justin, he will NOT be happy about the grandparent ambush.  The issue will be his baby sister's soft spot for her Taylor grandparents.  Well you can't sat I didn't warn you but I will really try to update.  I always enjoy your comments, thanks for all your support!!!   Bill

Another great chapter. Personally I don’t think the tone (or whatever it was referred to as ) has changed. Love the Michael tantrums. Also think it’s time for Justin and Sydney to review Lindsay’s “art work”...I can’t imagine its gallery worthy!

Author's Response:

Glad you are still enjoying the story!!!  Mary is a faithful reader and reviewer and just wants what we all want for the story to be the best it can be.  I agree abiut the art work review.  I planned that for this chaper but somehow the Taylor grandparents force their way into the story but not the house.  Thanks for the review.  Bill

i honestly don't think the flavor has changed all that much, bill; it is a wonderful story without all the misery and angst most b/j stories have and i'm happy to read a story where they are happy and together. to me, as long as they together as a solid team as they are in this story, there is very little angst... lots of excitement and issues to be dealt with but they deal with them as a team and to me, that is a good thing.

if i'm reading a book or a complete story, i don't pay much attention to how long a  chapter is or if one here and there has lots of fluff because i can move right on to the next chapter until i reach the end. i LIKE happy fluff and love the kids but there are so many irons in so many fires right now in the story, i'd like to see more of that too.

i love your writing syle and the way you present your characters. it's just hard to have to wait for so long for a new chapter....

i told myself i would not start reading stories that are not complete after edom and wren left me hanging with unfinished stories. when i started this one, i didn't realize it wasn't complete and found myself so hooked on it i just couldn't walk away.

i'm not trying to anger you or hurt your feelings but i'm just so disappointed i have to tell you that it looks like you are losing interest in this story and that it will only get worse once you start working on your new house. chapter 28 was a good chapter, altho quite short. i thought we were getting some mel and linds in this one from what you said but other than two very brief interractions with craig's parents and michael, the rest of this also very short chapter is all huggy-kissy fluff.

i'll check back occasionally but not often as i know there won't be anything for at least another month and it will be even longer when you move into your new house.

this is my very favorite b/j fanfic story and i'm just feeling so let down right now, i had to speak up.

Author's Response:

Your comments have given me something to think about.  There are a couple thing I do disagree with:  5,000 words is really about avaerage for my chapter lengths.  There are a few that are longer but a also a few that are shorter,  When I started this saga (lo those many years ago) my chapters were much shorter and I did update more frequently.  I actually think that most of this story is "huggy-kissy" stuff but I do not frequently go back and read past stories. I am going to reread some past stuff to see if the flavor of the story has changed.  I am not angry or hurt.  I appreciate honesty from the readers.  If you make this story a favorite you will get an email when there is an update. To be honest I don't see my updating to get dramatically more frequent.  Thanks,  Bill

Great chsgter as always!!!    Wow, to look back from where it all started for Brian and Justin to where they are now - look how far they have come!!!    And Michael seemed to be this close to a beat down from Brian.   Michael still just does not get it!!  At this point, I don't see him ever figuring out that he is the problem, not Justin.    And what is the deal with Ken and Janet?   Molly was right - if they force their hand, Justin will hae nothing to do with them.   They need to work things out on Justin's terms, not theirs.

Author's Response:

So happy you enjoyed this chapter!!  I liked this trip to the loft got them thinking about where they were and where they are now.  I think the encounter with Mikey just reinforced how they feel about their relationship.  Mikey can always be counted on to be unchanging, like the rock of Gibralter for Liberty Avenue.  I think Molly will lobby for the Taylor grandparents to be allowed to visit.  Brian and Granny will be no votes and Jennifer will remain neutral. They obviously don't know thir grandson very well if they thought it was a good idea to try and force him to do something.  Thanks for the comments, always look forward to reading them!!  Bill

Just when I was beginning to think this would be a boring chapter of Brian and Justin having sex and the kids hanging Granny, Grandmom Jen, and Grandpop you throw in Michael hearing for the millionth time that Brian is happy, even I know he didn’t hear a word. Then you throw in an ambush by the Taylor grandparents. It sucks what Brian and Justin will come home to...

Not begging just hoping there is more soon...

Author's Response:

Hello my friend,  I think Brian would be highly insulted that you find his sexual activities boring.  They will come home to hear about the Taylor grandparents attempted visit which will result in an our=trage Brian and a thoughtful Justin.  I will try....  Always fun to read your comments.  Bill

Michael is so wrong in his thinking.  Will he ever learn?  Now we have two more people who might be trouble stopping by.   I guess it doesn't pay for Brian and Justin to go away.

Author's Response:

I like to think we can always count on Mikey to be clueless and unchanging.  I beleive he thinks that somehow Justin has hypnotized Brian.  They still enjoyed themselves, I don't thnik Mikey bothere them much, but there will be some toruble when they get home and find out about the Taylor grandparents ambush..  You know I ALWAYS look forward to your review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Thanks,  Bill

You know sometimes you have to put some relatives and "friends" on the fringe of your life.  I think that is where Michael and Lindsay need to be.  I know she will have contact with Gus but that is all she needs to do. What art could she have that would be good enough for the gallery and if she does Justin needs to tell her to try another gallery.  All I see there is trouble.  Michael, lost cause.  I just think they are both just users big time.  Melody, I don't like but I also think she has also been used by Lindsay and Michael.  Not telling Jenny about Gus just goes to show how non of them care about anyone but themselves.  So love Granny and of course Jennifer one of my favorites.  Waiting for so much more.  I hope we get to see the twins grow. I so love how you have written so much love and strength between Brian and Justin.

Author's Response:

I think they kind of put themselves on the fringe but refusing to face change but you are correct that is where they belong.  Mel and Linds are not contenders for parents of the year.  We'll have to wait and see what Sindey and Justin think of Lindsay's art.  Glad that you are still enjoying the story and like Granny.  Of course I love my Jennifer, glad you do too.  Thanks so much for the review.  Hearing from the readers is what keeps this story going.   Bill

Jennifer is such a good person not just for looking out for Joan but her boys as well by looking after the kids. That Andrea omg I want to kick her ass I'm so glad Mary stood up to her. The boys do need time on their own. I'm sure raising kids is very hard so doing this will help them more than they even know. Fantastic work as always x

Thank you for the new chapter, Bill.  It was just what I needed in this madcap frantic week.  I was getting worried about you so it was good to see you post.

It was nice of Jennifer to help out Joan and that Millie and Tucker helped get the house ready for her.  I hope Joan appreciates it and doesn't get upset that other people other than Jenn was in her home or that they cleaned up.  I like that she is being more....approachable? nicer? (not sure how to describe her at this point) but definitely an improvement.  Glad she is taking her sobriety seriously.  I hope she is starting to open her life up some.

Andrea is such a worthless person.  How horrible would it be to be to live such a closed-minded and malicious mentality life? I know there are plenty of people like that, but I can't imagine limiting myself that way. Not that my life is big or all that exciting (I swear I could live a very happily hermit life, I'm just a solitary person, doing my own thing, learning, reading, seeing what I want), but I try very hard to be open to new experiences and I would never go out of my way to so visciously hurt someone, especially someone(s) that had just taken care of my child when I couldn't. I don't understand people who want to live a life like that.  I loved Mary telling her off.  It is a good thing that the Washington PD are very aware of who B&J are and that they want nothing to do with riling Alice and Charlie up. I found that funny.

Can Creepy get any more pathetic?  What a loser.  Is he unable to live by himself?  Has he EVER lived by himself or has he just always been a leeching loser, expecting everyone to house his worthless ass? Loved Brian telling him no and also telling him off about the twins.  I can't believe Creepy actually voiced his fantasies about Brian staying with him at the loft and getting away from "Justin's Kids".

Again, thank you for the new chapter.  I loved reading it.  Anxiously awaiting the next chapter.  Hope it comes soon as I will definitely need it to survive the next couple of weeks.  Hope all is well!

Author's Response:

2021 has been an "interesting" year so far.  I am good just a bad author for not posting sooner.  I have given myself 21 lashes with a wet noodle.

Jennifer doesn't like Joan but appreciates her struggles for sobriety and wants to give her the best chance to stay sober.  The question remains if Joan will appreciate Jennifer's efforts.

Andrea does not appear to have any redeeming features and seems to be an extremely unhappy person.  Like you I enjoy solitary pursuits.  I find that to be a blessing in this carzy time we are living through but it doesn't limit us when we don't intreact with others.   We will have to see if some truth is going to creep into Andrea's mind when people are all telling her how wrong her behavior is.

Mikey remains Mikey, nothing much effects him.  He just keeps bobing along.  Thank for for your remarks they are always interesting to read.  I appreciate your support for the story!!!!  Bill

Author's Response:

Happy to know you enjoyed this update.  Thanks so much for your kind words.  I think good luck to whoever gets to be Michael's roommate  LOL.  Andrea ceratinly doesn't appear to have any redeeming charater traits.  Hopefully she will see the light, time will tell.  If Peter gets his Papa and his Grandmom Jen stirred up Andrea won't know what hit her.  Thanks for reviewing!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Hey there and Happy New Year!!   I was so excited to see the update!!   I think it was very cool of Jennifer (and Tillie) to help Joan by getting groceries and clearing the vodka out of the house.    They also cleaned and did a load of laundry.   And actually, I'm proud of Joan; she really seems to want a change in her life and and I personally hope she is able to reach out to Brian.   I know he is really angry with her for everything she did - and said - to him since he was a kid, but she is really making an effort here, and I think even Brian would appreciate that.   I know it takes a lot to forgive, but just the fact that she's trying is a positive in my book.

And then there's Michael.  He is so out of reality, its not even funny.   He honestly expected Brian would want to live with him.   I'm glad that Brian nixed that as well as Michael staying at the loft, too.   Even Emmett told him no, though I bet that even if there was a spare room available at his place, he still wouldn't let him stay there.

Author's Response:

Happy New Year, sure is interesting so far.  Tillie and Jennifer are good people, willing to help people who need it.  Hopefully Joan will continue the good work she started in rehab.  It might not be too late for her to have a family.  Mikey exists in his own reality.  Always enjoy reading your comment.  THANKS!!!  Bill

two things, i think. first, i've always liked jennifer and even defended her. the only issue i have with her was the tuition for jr. that was a biggie to me, and it certainly will be interesting to see how that play out when it's time to acturally pay it and everyone finds out she's still in private school. but i'm like brian is with joan. i know she's had a miserable life always been disliked, even hated, her whole life. but i think she is also a very strong, some would say stubborn!, person in some ways, determined to keep people away from her and not changing her mind about that, at least until now perhaps. if she can stay sober and allow tillie and maybe the priest into her life a bit, she could open up a whole new world for herelf with brian and the grandkids. it would be kind of nice if she could have an epiphany and make some changes in how she acts.

secondly, don't you think yoy may be a little "overly harsh" about david? i doesn't sound like  her son ever complained too much to his dad before he met up with the kenney's and it's often too tempting to take the easy route when no one is prodding you to do differently. but it seems his eyes are open now, probably even more after josh's dad talks to him about andrea's behavior so i'm thinking he could pretty easily decide he wants custody of jay to raise him with his new wife. it sounds like his fiance really likes jay and would be willing to have him live with them.

redemption would be a very good thing for both joan and david with their respective issues... just a thought...

Author's Response:

I was just giving you a hard time over Jennifer but I do think that she is as close to perfect as anyone can get.  I personally know of someone like David.  Rather than have to deal with an ex-wife they ignore their child.  I find that behavior reprehensible.  Maybe Andrea would not be as overbearing with her son if David voiced his disaproval.  Jay said he wasn't sure his father would really want Jay to live with him.  However misguided Andrea is, at least she is interested in her child and doing what she thinks is best for him.  I think poor Jay like JR has lost out in the parent lottery.  I don't think a father should need to be prodded.  That is what makes life interesting, difference of opinion.  I still love you!!!!!  Bill

Thank you for starting my New Year with a new chapter.  Best chapter yet.  Andrea is in for a shock.  So is Joanie and Michael.  Can't wait to see what mischief you have planned for Brian and Justin's get-away.

Author's Response:

You are always so encouraging and supportive!!!  I so appreciate you.  Anyone who enjoys this long saga should thank you for all your support from the very beginning.  I never thought at the beginning I would still be writing this long saga.  It has been going on for more than 7 years!!!  Andrea needs to get taken down a knotch or two for sure.  Happy to know you are still reading and enjoying!!  Bill

After watching TV all day I was really happy to see this. I will admit off the top I wanted more Brian and Justin, but after hours of watching a building I have toured with my nieces invaded by terrorists I was happy to see this to calm my brain.

The 3 worst people in this story had to much time spent on them Joan, Michael, and Andrea. I actively hope Andrea loses Jay, that Michael ends up with an awful roommate and I can’t decide if I want Joan to succeed.

Brian better look out when he returns to the office, Michael may need to be fired or warned to shut up if he wants to stay.

i can’t wait for more, hopefully it doesn’t take someone begging on Facebook for the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Horrifying day!!  I have been to the Capitol many time.  Once, years ago, had a tour with a Congressman.  Had lunch in the members' restaurant.  Terrible that so many people accept lies.  Sometimes the worst people are the most interesting.  Haven't done an update in Joan for a while.  I was sure the readers missed her.  Brian pays no attention to Mikey, he will swat him like a fly.  It does appear that begging works for me.  I do have a little badnews for you.  I just bought a house so once spring come you know what I will spending time doing.  Always enjoy your remarks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Thanks for the update. Andrea really is a horrible person. I hope David will take Jay with him.

Joan realizes that she will need help if she is to be successful. I hope she will keep Tillie's support.

Brian finally really stood up to Michael and told him to take responsibility. While he is looking for accommodation I hope Brian and Justin will have a good time at the loft.

I hope that next time we will know a little more about life with the Marcus Peterson! Happy new Year Bill Stay safe.

Author's Response:

I fear I have done something horribly wrong.  David ia cowardly, absentee father who sent his son into the house to face his bitch of a mother on his own.  David id not hero!  I almost like Andrea better, David is running a close second to Ron Townsend as a worst father of the year.  How long with Joanie stay motivated to keep her life on track, that is the question.  Not sure what the answer is... stay tuned.  Next time we will take a side trip to muncherland I promise.  I am wondering if reality awareness will come to Mikey...  doubtful.  Happy new year to you!!!!  Thanks for all your support!!  Bill

Thank you so much . Today really sucked. Can't wait for Peter to ask grandma Jen's advice. Poor Mikey no one wants to live with him.

Author's Response:

Today was shocking & horrifying,  I honestly felt sick looking at what happened.  Mikey is a big thankless job toi take on.  We'll see how long he lasts with a new roommate.  Poor Jay, he has no good support system.  Bill

other that being way too short (lol), it was a good chapter.  andrea got told off good and proper with no police harassment this time. i doubt andrea is done now, unless her ex really gets up in arms about her behavior.

you no doubt be glad to know that jennifer earned a couple of brownie points from me by helping joan get her house ready for her to come home. i also liked that joan realizes she needs some help and i hope she and tillie can spend some time together without killing each other. joan will need some help for awhile and tillie is nearby and i think willing to help her.

i think brian is FINALLY getting serious about standing up to michael and it's way overdue to me.

there are so many balls in the air right now, i can't wait until we get the next, hopefully longer chapter. great job, bill, but more sooooooon, please!!

Author's Response:

Imagine how long it would take me to post if the chapters were longer!!!!  I am sure Jennifer is letting out a sigh of relief that hs efinaly did something you approve of.  We will have to see how long Joanie's good intentions last.  Tillie might have to break out her wooden spoons to keep Joan in line.  I think Brian oftens let's Mikey know when he is wrong but he prefers to ignore him when he can.  He knows Mikey is no threat to his life with Justin.  Hopefully I will stay motivated to quickly update!!!  Bill

Sos but had to add this:

"Welcome to Delusion Airlines.  Today we will be flying to Denial Island.  We will, of course, be overflying our favourite parts of the island including: Selective He'ring Bay and the almost imprenetrable, Mi'bestfr'end mountain range, the highest peak of Whine Ridge being Brii'iaaan Mount.  Please note that the access road Ma's'excuses, via Mam'assboy Lane can be very unstable at times.  Your pilot today will be Me'nd Briforever.

If you look out the left side of the plane, you will see our sister flight the Lindsay Peterson express, piloted by Marie Agayman, which has just departed Ihad Hison airport, named after a noted delusion....I mean illusionist.  If there is an emergency, please put your head between your thighs and kiss your pathetic hopes goodbye.

I would say thank you for travelling with us today but, lets face it, most of us realise this is a pointless flight of fancy."

Hope you like it, I was trying for Hawaiian style place names, he he he :)

i reread the last few chapters and realize something i found interesting. when linds she it would be good for b/j to full custody of gus cuz she couldn't handle two kids, mel's first thoughts were no more support/subsidation of the finances, no more babysitting by gus and no more private school for jr.  i  think it shows that mel  is totallly identifying gus with brian and no longer cares about him at all... he was a mealticket only, along with babysitter. how pathetic...and sad. i loved that he was rather distant with linds at the picnic and hope he stays that way.

i'm also thinking that granny has been unhappy living with kate for awhile and the baby pics justin sent galvanized her to make changes sooner rather than later. love that woman!!

and i don't see the big deal with michael. he's making fairly decent money now and can rent a room at the motel until he gets his life together... which basically means he'll be there forever cuz he never will get his shit together...lol

i can't wait to see what kind of "art" linds presents for the gallery's consideration. she has always been considered pretty mediocre as an artist and i would love, love, love, for them to refuse her a show. honestly, she doesn't deserve it. mel's going to have a hard time paying for all her art supplies she uses. she seems to be in her "studio" all the time.

Author's Response:

Mel sure didn't put up any fight but neither did Lindsay.  I think sometimes the idea of children is appealing and the reality less so.  I guess we can be glad at least they were honest about how they felt.  Mel was always going to have trouble with Gus resembling his Daddy so much and wanting to be like him.  Justin may be too kind to refuse Linds but Sidney could be more of a business man and he doesn't like Lindsay.  Time will tell.  Linds has sold a few paintings but not really contributing much to household finances.  Always enjoy your comments!!!  Bill

I read this chapter a couple of days ago but took a couple of days to review it because I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it.  I mean it is good, don't get me wrong, but I just felt a bit flat after reading it.  Was it because the last couple of chapters had so much that made me angry at certain characters so this chapter seemed so calm?  After two days, I still haven't figured it out.  I really think it may be that I am just numb from all the crap the so-called leaders of this country has been putting us through.  I am just tired, wrung out emotionally, and just unable to really feel anything right now.

But I wanted to review it because I do love this story and some interesting things happened and the story is moving on, not stagnating which is great.

Loved that Jay stood up to his mother.  I don't think Andrea is going to change, so I am anxious to find out what happens next.

I loved Granny and Justin's talk, it did get through my numbness to make my eyes get a little moist.  It just seems like Granny has felt so alone or maybe she was just bored with her life in California.  I'm glad she is so happy with B&J and the kids (especially Gus).  Loved the planning Granny and B&J did for the new apartment building.  Sounds like a place I would love to live in!!

And then there is batshit crazy, deluded Michael (or as I call him...Creepy).  I really hope Creepy is heading towards termination with him spouting off his delusions and calling L&L brats.  I would really like to see him punished or fired.  I would really like him to finally pay, as I have wanted for a really long time.

I love this story and hope to read more very soon.

Author's Response:

I gotten some too boring comments from other reviewers.  I guess like in life sometimes there are not a lot of exciting things happening.  I actually deliberately focused on family interactions this time, some like it, some did not.  Got to keep working on that balance.  Andrea found out that her son has a mind of his own and now he has friends that support and encourage him.  Granny is enjoying her time in the new household.  I think this sometyimes happen as people age that we decide maybe out lives are kind of over but now Granny got a reboot.  Everyone hates when I say this but Mikey is like bedrock, never changing, never moving.  Something we can all count on.   Nothing good but solid and unchanging.  Glad you are still eenjying the story and giving me another chnace to improve.  Thanks,  Bill

Micheal seriously needs to buy a clue, this could be the final push for Brian to cut him from his life. I feel so sorry for Jay he needs to go live with his dad. His mother doesn't deserve a good son like him. Lol I love granny she is a perfect match to the family and this new build for her will be incredible and make her so happy. I am wondering will Michael turn up at the weekend away Jennifer has planned for our boys it wouldn't surprise me.

fantastic work as always x

Author's Response:

The beauty of Mikey is that he doesn't even know clues exist but he is going to piss off his "best friend" soon.  Andrea may realize her son is growing up and has a mind of his own.  Jay is never going back to just following along.  If Mikey finds out about the loft weekend, Jennifer may have him killed.  Thanks for all the nice comments!!!!!  Bill

Hey Bill, hope you are doing well!!   Loved the new chapter!!    Michael is in la la land if he thinks that Brian is getting tired of the family life and living with all the kids, and would definitely want to move in with him at the loft!!   First of all, Brian isn't going to let him anywhere near that loft, probably not even to drop by for a visit, much less move in due to Ben kicking him out and Debbie not letting him stay at her house.   Second of all, Brian at this point wants nothing to do him.  He is all about family. his kids and Justin.  That is his life now and nothing is going to change that.   I am so looking to that conversation.     And good for Jay for stiicking up for Brian and Justin and standing his ground.   Everything he said to Andrea was right on point.    I hope he does ask his Dad about moving in with him.  I guarantee his life will be a whole lot easier staying with him instead of his mom.

Author's Response:

Things are good with me.  Mikey is pretty much a permenent citizen of la la land.  You are correct Mikey and the loft are not going to get together anytime soon.  I think the loft holds a special place in the hearts of Brian & Justin since it is where they got their start together.  Jay is a strong kid and knows a good thing when he sees one.  The Taylor-Kinney household is a good thing.  Andrea is not getting her total control overJay back, he has tasted freedom.  Thanks for the nice comments!!!  Bill

I think now that Jay has had a taste of freedom his mother won't have a chance of keeping him underher thumb.  His Dad's girl friend is making him realize he has abandoned his son and needs to step in.  Thanks for taking time to review!!!  Bill

Thanks for update,

Author's Response:

Hi Deb, I love your comment on Michael!!  I amy use that in the story, sounds like something Granny might say.  I think Brian would fall down laughing at the depth of Mikey's delusions.  Thanks for the review!!!  Bill

Wow.  I always love your story and this chapter is really great.  Mikey and his delusions should meet Jay's mom.  They both need to see doctors, the mental kind.  Gus is going to have a great time at the camp, but I know he'll miss his family.  Love what you have planned for granny.  Can't wait to find out what your plans are for Mikey and Jay.

Author's Response:

Hmmm... what sort of couple would Mikey & Andrea make???  That is something to think about, maybe they could meet in a therapist's office and form an instant attachment.  Always anxious to see your comments and know you are still reading and enjoying!!!!  Bill

Reviewer: mary48 (Signed) · Date: December 03, 2020 01:08 PM · On: Chapter 1

seems like michael is trying to get himself fired and if he keeps up this nonsense, i have a feeling brian just might oblige him. talking about b/j's home life in a derogatory manner is likely NOT to sit well with brian.

jay got a tast of normal life and has totally embraced it. andrea will no longer get away with micromanaging his life and that's a very good thing! looks like jay is well on his way to becoming a strong and independent young man, which will serve him well as grows into adulthood, the same as peter and john who have blossomed under b/j's care. it's all good.

i like to see how the taylor-kenny household has blended so well together and is continuing to do the same with granny. justin was very wise to have his little talk with granny about accepting what he can give and looking at what he does to show how much he cares about her and all of them.

but as another reader mentioned, i also like to see the smackdowns with mel, linds, and michael. it's a balancing act: we need to see that the b/j clan is becoming a strong and solid family unit but we want to see the smackdowns too.

i enjoyed this chapter but have a hunch we'll see more of michael very soon. and justin did promise jr a weekend stay with them and i'm sure that will be interesting too!

Author's Response:

You always post your comments under chapter 1.  That is fine but I am afraid they might get lost there.  Might be a god thing to open the last chapter posted and type your review there, I would hate to miss one of your reviews.  I think Brian would laugh at Mikey and his delusions.  No one takes what Mikey says seriosuly.  I agree Andrea has lost total control over her son and it happened just in time for him to start to have a normal life.  I will do my best to provide smackdowns soon.  Thanks for taking time to review, I look forward to reading your comments.   Bill

Another great chapter and we would like so much more! Good for Jay to stand up to his mother or even threaten her to go live with his father and I would say that she is the child abuser with her venom and her wickedness.

Michael who still has the illusion of being Brian's best (even his colleagues know better) and who lost that title a long time ago must prepare to go to sleep in the park. I just hope you don't plan on disturbing Brian and Justin at the loft. Or maybe yes because it could be his assured death.

I can't wait to read what you have in store for JR Mel and Lindz. Thanks for the update. Stay safe.

Author's Response:

Well all the reviews do have one constant theme - update more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I will try.  Andrea is way too involved in her son's life.  She need a life of her own!!  Mikey is delusional but dependable - he never changes.  No current plan for Mikey to even know B&J are at the loft.  Hope you also stay safe in this CRAZY time we are living through.  Thanks for all your support!!!!  Bill

okey so you know i really love what you write but I have a little something to say and I hope you won't take it the wrong way. the parts about happy life at britin are too long and the ones where some kind of action is happening are too short. it's just my opinion, but i feel like the chapters could have less of the granny-grandmom-nephews-alice constant lovefest and goodness and more of michael being an asshole and being slapped down, more of lindsay being a bitch, more of the little brat being taught a lesson that she's not the center of anyone's world. as i said, it's just my opinion and i truly love this story but i would really love to see more slapping down.

and of course, the usual request, can you update soon?

stay safe

Author's Response:

I am always happy to hear from the readers and get their opinions.  I will try to get a little more action in the next chapter.  Some other folks like the family life stuff so IO try to keep a balance but promise more action in the next chapter.  Luckily the story isn't set in Covid time or there would be even less interaction with the outside world.  Thanks for the review and suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Wow I had enough to reread Holiday, Disney and 20 chapters of this story before you added more.

Where to start, I wonder if Michael will try to ruin their weekend... or if the people in the office will start to complain that Michael is spreading gossip about Brian they know to not be true.

i hope Jay can talk his father into taking more of a role in his life so maybe his mother can get a life...

Having babysat for a kid whose life was completely over scheduled I like that Brian and Justin want Gus to have things to do but to also have time with them.

Brian and Granny’s building is going to be amazing and I can’t wait for more discussions on the colors or the layout.

ok now for my bit of mean:

I can’t wait for the next storm where JR has a meltdown and Mel and Linds finally have to try to figure out how they deal with her.

I have a sleeping bag Michael can use wile he camps at the park...

Any chance of more soon I only have 7 chapters left to reread...

Author's Response:

I promise I am going to try and get the next chapter up soon!! Hopefully Mikey will not find out about the plan for a loft weekend.  Jennifer isn't telling anyone but Emmett.  I think most Kinnetik employees have figued out that Mikey is a little delusional about Brian.  As the other employee said Mikey is a receptionist.  A fine job but it seems logical Brian would find a higher paying postion for his "best friend".  I agree that kids need time to be a kid.  There is so much for Gus to do at home, no reason for him to have something scheduled every day.  I do have a Mel/Linds?/JR episode planned for the next chapter.  Enjoyed your comments, as always!!!  Thanks,  Bill

Just wanted to let you know how much I love the way you write B&J in this Saga.  They love each other so much, protect each other and have face everything together and you let them grow.  Thank  you for that. Please don't let Brian get talked into letting the idiot Michael stay at the loft.  That would be such a slap in Justin's face since he treats Justin so bad.  Maybe he could rent a room from the the so called moms since Gus is not there, that could help with their finances.  Justin and Sydney should tell Lindsay to go to another gallery, she has already stolen from them and putting her pics in the gallery would mean she would have a reason to be there and maybe if she goes back to gambling, steal some art and it gives her a reason to bother Pat.  I love the grandmother.  Sorry this is so long, I just detest Michael and Lindsay.

Author's Response:

Thank you for your very kind comments.  I truly appreciate them!!!!  I didn't think about Lindsay stealing something from the gallery.  That could be an interesting twist.  I don't think there us much chance of Mikey setting up housekeeping in the loft.  I think Granny is a hoot.  I am happy to know you are enjoying my long saga.  Thanks so much for letting me know!!!!!!!!!  Bill

you made a comment to someone about not knowing if viola's cancer would come back and it got me thinking...

i'd love to see viola beat her cancer. she's had a difficult life and is now in a place that's better than anything she's ever known. it would be nice to see her be able to enjoy living a longer life. ted, blake, nina and viola are a wonderful little family group and get along together so well. nina has a great life with ted and blake but also still has her grandmother who she loves and who makes a great babsitter when needed.

and it seems she's kind of helped ted come out of his shell too with the interactions they've had. ted's comfort zone for hugs and more personal interractions with someone other that just blake is kind of a joy to see. showing emotion to those he cares for is easier for him now... they've been good for each other... all of them have.

would like nina to get used to blake reading to her occasionally too...

Author's Response:

Ovarian cancer is hard to beat and Viola has had 2 relapses, we can hope for the bets but the odds are against her.  Viola & Nina have made bis changes in Ted & Blake's lives, all positive!!!  Nina loves her "Teddy Man".  Justin always reads Gus his bedtime stories.  Parents often had assigned roles by children's expectations.  Children sometimes want what they want and don't care if it is fair or not.  I think Blake does a lot of heavy lifting parenting and Ted gets a bigger share of fun stuff because that is what Nina expects & wants.  Nothing is written in stone though!!!!  Bill

I thought I was all caught up with the story, but when I started reading last night, I realized that I was behind by about 6 chapters.  WEll I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the read.  Granny moving in and Brian making her comfortable was amazing.  The scene with Kate and the attempt at tricking her into signing away her life, ( well giving POA to Kate) was very well done.  As usual, Michael is not stepping up to the plate where his life is concerned- either with his husband or his daughter. good for Ben for kicking him out and for Brian not giving into his whining.  thanks for the update.

Author's Response:

WOW, you really have ready this story in a while.  I am not the fastest at posting so 6 chapters is a lot to miss.  LOL.  Happy to know you are still enjoying the story.  Granny has found a great place to live with lots of family support.  Mikey reamins as dependable as the rock of Gibralter and his head is about that thick.   Thanks for the review!!!!!!!  Bill

Hi Sweet Baboo, hope you and yours are safe and well. Welll, as usual mikey got on my last nerve, he is so needy and he never thinks of anyone but himself. Was so glad Debbie wouldn't let him move back in her house. I don't know about JR, she listens to no one mikey is a for shit father, Lindsey is only concerned about herself and Mel has no emotional support cause she treats every one like shit no matter what they've tried to do to help out. JR kindda rules the roost .remember the fight with Uncle Brian, the no pancake til you eat your fruit. She needs a boarding school for a couple of years no corporal punishment but if you don't follow rules then your week end is strictly in your room. no matter if Grandma Debbie, her daddy the weasel mikey, or mothers can change that if she has misbahaved earlier in the week, if her behavior has been good she can ride  horses, play in the pool or gardens or even play with the puppies on the grounds--she learns she is the child and the school is run by grown ups I could see the Taylor-Kinneys paying for this because they see JR has no friends, she bosses everyone and is quiet a dislikeabel child. what do you think? And mikey and Brian living in loft after three hours Brian would be in jail for throwing him out the window !

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, sorry it took so long to reply to your review.  Mikey is unchnagingly annoying.  Debbie finally has a clue she isn't helping Mikey by continuing to baby him.  Poor JR does not have a good parental pool to pull from.  I don't see Brian and Mikey ever co-habitaating anywhere!!!  Glad you enjoyed this chapter.  I remain, as always, your sweet Baboo

Thank you for another great chapter Bill. I do have to admit that my chin dropped in surprise, disgust and anger at some of the characters throughout the chapter.

First, I wondered where David, Kay and Jay were in the last chapter and was happy to see them in this chapter with a believable excuse for showing up late. I mean, many of us have had to show up late to an event because of obligations to show up at other places the same day. I was very happy to see how much Jay enjoyed his time and making new friends.  I was glad David could figure out that his son needs him to step up his parenting skills instead of not trying to rock the boat.  Hopefully he succeeds at that.

I just love John more and more.  What a great and responsible kid.  Just reading that one line about Gus & Kevin cheering on John & Patrick in their tennis match made me smile. I could picture it so clearly. The same with the horseshoe competition with Alice, Viola, Jennifer & Debbie.

And then there was Mikey (I hate that name and actually think it is one of the many reasons that lazy worthless shithead never matured past 14), creeping around the outskirts, keeping his jealous eyes on Brian.  He is just .... well, creepy. So while Creepy is stalking Brian, Ben is relegated to watching/taking care of JR.  Ben, who according to Creepy has no say in anything about JR must play babysitter while Creepy does his stalking.  Then Creepy blames Justin for JR getting upset when he does absolutely nothing to help with JR when she begs to live with Justin and her brother.  JR is hurting but Creepy is too busy being an asshole to Justin. My mouth dropped with complete disgust and anger at the waste of oxygen.  I also didn't understand why Ben stayed silent during that conversation between Justin & JR.  I get his initial surprise at the total failure of two of JR's parents, but he didn't do anything himself at that time either.

Ben finally takes matters into his own hands in the car ride home due to the total failure of Creepy and Psycho-Mommy and tries to explain things to JR, who by this time isn't listening to anyone if they aren't saying what she wants to hear (gee, I wonder where she learned that from).  My jaw dropped again at Creepy's attitude at the drop off. The sheer audacity of him saying Ben had no say over JR because Creepy was the father all while shirking any responsibility for being a parent in the very same speech.  I really wanted Ben to kick that shit right out of his car right there, right then and by the time Creepy found his way home he would find every worthless toy, crappy collectible and 8th grade wardrobe burning in a big bonfire on Ben's front lawn.  But alas, Ben just walked out.  Again, I thought he should have just thrown a suitcase at Creepy and told him to go live under a bridge but he is much nicer than me.

And then we get to the "Creepy has finally lost all his marbles" moment, when he starts fantasizing about he and Brian living the loft together and acts like it is a fact.  I really think he needs to be institutionalized.  He is batshit crazy.

I'm torn about JR's meltdown. On one hand she is doing what her mothers have let her get away with, but again, my mouth dropped at her selfish cold-hearted bitch mother's take on no comfort when scared.  No wonder JR is so fucking neurotic.

LOVED LOVED LOVED the slap down Debbie gave Creepy.  The complete hypocrisy that Creepy spouted dropped my jaw yet again (see the theme here?).  This worthless shit monkey takes absolutely no reponsibility for his preschool child but thinks his mother should still diaper his middle-age ass is just astonishingly hypocritically dumbfounding.  And what's worse, I could absolutely picture each of this conversations and say they are so true to the characters you have written all these years.

Loved the B&J scenes, so together, so in love, so happy, true partners in every sense of the word.

Well, as you can see by this novel I wrote for a review, I LOVED this chapter even while being angry and disgusted by some of the characters.  I really hope you post again soon because I can't wait to see the fallout of this bad parenting and partnering mess.  Please please do not delay!!!!

Your most ardent fan,

Author's Response:

Well you get the award for the longest review (I think ever).  Glad you enjoyed this chapter and I consider your chin dropping to be a good thing.  John has survived and thrived after a perilous childhood.  He and Peter have seen the down side of life os recognize how good they have it now.  I think John has the Kinney caring gene like his uncle.  Mikey is clueless and unchanging.  Too immature himself to be a good parent.  I think Ben was waiting for one of JR's parents to take control of the situation, he is "Uncle" Ben, never been assigned a parent role.  on the other hand Justin is Papa to Gus.  I think you are correct Ben is too nice to go to the extremes you suggest but they gave me a good laugh.  Mikey is ceratinly not consistent in his thinking proscess, wants Mommy to help him but wants no part of solving his daughter's issues.  Thank you so much for saying that you find my characters' coversations are true to what I have written in the past.  I really appreciate that comment!!!!!!

Glad you loved this chapter and enjoyed all your comments.  I am thinking "most ardent fan" is better that "number one fan" is a "Misery" kind of way.  More laughter from me.  Thanks for the review, I love to hear from the readers!!!!  Bill

hmmm, what WILL mel do when she finds jen is gonna pay jr's tuition? she might blow a gasket or refuse it, but on the other hand, she has cheerfully allowed linds to suck money out of brian's pockets for years, so handouts certainly don't hurt her pride. so maybe she'll allow jen to pay; she MIGHT even thank her. but i'd never hold my breath that she has honor or dignity enough to refuse it. she seems to take all she can get... jen buying the stove for the new house, ted getting the interior painted, brian paying her kid's tuition, and bj buying extra gifts for jr at christmas, taking them to disneyland, bj buying their house for them and lending them a ton of money... nope she has NO problem taking his money at all. actually, she could be michael's twin sister.... yuck!

Finally, Deb sees the light!  Michael needs to get a life that is grounded in reality.  He really believes Brian will dump Justin for him?

I can't say I blame JR for wanting to live with Justin and Brian.  Sounds like she has a little crush on Justin.  Serves Michael right!

Author's Response:

She is seeing it at the moment.  Mikey refuses to see life as it really is, he prefers the way he wishes it would be.  JR has always loved Uncle Jus, he is so different than her parents.  Thanks for the review!!!!  Bill

Reviewer: mary48 (Signed) · Date: November 09, 2020 12:01 AM · On: Chapter 1

now, now, bill!! my comment about jen taking over the raising of jr was said with a fair bit of sarcasm! lol

i've always liked jennifer and even defended her, but will not forgive her for interfering in the tuition issue. and just think: it's bad enough if jr had to change schools now but how much worse would it be if she had to do later? ...unless jennifer plans to pay the tuition thru jr's entire school years. so i think, in the long run, she is doing a disservice to jr also unless she intends to pay forever.

it sounds like brian was actually considering taking jr in... hard to imagine him being that stupid so i'm very glad justin stomped down hard on that idea.  someone is thinking with a clear hear.

but all in all a super chapter!!!! kudos to you, bill!

Author's Response:

I am like Gus & Kevin, I think Grandmom Jen is perfect.  I do think JR has had enough chnages in her life and we can delay one of them that is s good thing.  We must just agreeto disagree.  Bill

Reviewer: mary48 (Signed) · Date: November 08, 2020 11:04 PM · On: Chapter 1

ya know, it really was past time for ben to dump michael. ben isn't a stupid man and for the life of me i don't understand how he could put up michael's being soooo stupid, having such a whiny disposition, mean mouth and constant hanging on to brian and dissing justin. it really doesn't make sense but he was the same way in the series.

i would be ashamed to be seen with michael in public and around my co-workers with his gross stupidity and over-all disgusting personality.  and ben certainly has to share in the blame for michael's behavior as it's taken him so long to finally have enough of it.

Author's Response:

Love is blind.  I think Ben loved Mikey and his immaturity, remember comic books brought them together.  It allowed him to be the dominant one in their relationship but enough is enough!   Bill

I was surprised that Viola, who is sickly and in poor health, was able to play that many games of horseshoes. Although it's not overly strenuous, to continually throw 2 1/2 to 3 lbs - 40 feet, it coud be if you are frail and not feeling well.

A damn good thing I hadn't just taken a swallow of my diet pepsi when I read: Maybe Brian and Michael could even move into the loft together. I swear - I would have spewed it across my computer (and sent you the bill - LOL) As it was, my stomach roiled and I felt the vomit rising. And if that wasn't bad enough, he continued to fantasize about how next year on the 4th, they would be living at the loft together. *gagging*

Brian would rather suck on rotten eggs. I KNOW you keep saying Brian thinks of him as a brother, and will always love Michael, but wasn't it Michael, who in season 5, said something about (paraphrasing here) "Just because we've known each other half our lives - doesn't mean we have to still be friends, especially since we have nothing in common anymore." And to this day, that's true. Brian and MIkey are worlds apart. They never see each other. They never vsit, never hangout. And siblings CAN screw up. I have 7 step-siblngs, and three of them I refuse to ever see again. Words, spoken in anger and disgust, can be very unforgiving, especially when they refuse to believe gay people aren't just 'acting' and that it's not a choice. So yes, IF Michael goes too far, I REALLY hope Brian throws his ass to the curb - like he should have after the anniversary party. Because even though I don't think much of my step-siblings, I have NEVER uttered - or thought - I wish  they were dead.

I have to wonder about Mel and Lindsay, and their refusal to discuss this. I just shake my head. I can almost see J.R. running away. If I was that unhappy as a child - if I didn't want to live with my parents - that would be the solution. I would want to run to the person who made me feel safe, to the person I thought could love me. And wouldn't that wake up the parents - and authorities - that something was seriously wrong? Because as it sits now, Mel, Lindsay, or Michael shouldn't have custody. Debbie's too old, and her health too poorly for full-time parenting. A good foster home might be what she needs for a while until the parents get their senses and priorities back. And she DEFINITELY shouldn't be at Brian and Justin's.

And all hell is going to break lose when Mel finds out about Jen paying tuiton. I wouldn't be surprised if Melanie had a stroke with what she deals with.

Author's Response:

Viola is in remission right now.  Her last chemo treatment was over a year ago,  Right after Nina moved in with Teb and Blake.  Sadly her cancer may return but right now she is doing OK.  Mikey doesn't have a very firm grasp on reality.  He still see him and Brina spending their old age together.  Wow you have quite a memory of the show.  I will be honest and say I don't havwe that same wealth of knowledge.  Brian and Mikey have a lotof history together and a lotof past friendship.  Brian is very loyal.  Neither he or Justin think of Mikey as a threat more of an annoyance.  Poor JR is just a sad story at the moment.  For better or worse I don't have a firm plan for my story so not sure hwat the future has in store for her.  I have some ideas but haven't decided on what will happen.  The one thing I am sure of is that she will not live with Brian and Justin.  Glas to know you are still enjoying the story.  Bill

please please please, no JR moving in with her uncle Jus! that would be so fucking unfair to Gus, the twins, john and peter. yeah all kids deserve love and all but not at the cost of another child who is owed that love as his fucking birth right. Give her to ben but save Gus from having to share his home with her. As for michael, please stop trying to save. you always say he is brian's brother and will always be family. well, lots of brothers end up in jail so michael needs to be stomped on. and please update soon. somehow your chaps take less reading time than any other same length text. xoxo

Author's Response:

JR is having a crummy life but the answer is not for her to live with Brian and Justin.  I say Mikey is like a brother but he is a highly disfunctional member of the family.  Lots of history with Brian but probably not much future.  Glad to know you are still reading and enjoying!!!  Bill

It's good that all the youngsters had a great time and Jay came out of his shell a bit and it's good that David realizes that he has to get him out of his mother's grip and allow him to live his life.as teenager.

Now the things that annoy. Michael is an asshole. Even Debbie is against him now. Poor JR, she has parents who should never have been parents, they are too selfish. And Michael who thinks Brian is going to buy him something or live with him. I hope he will take more slaps next time maybe even get fired lol. Ben did well to leave him.

Thank you for this chapter which was wonderful. I can't wait to read the next one. I hope everything goes well for you.

Author's Response:

Eveyone enjoyed the party and Jay's mother better get ready for some rebellion from her son.  He has realized life can be fun.  JR has been unlucky in the parent department.  Time for them to get their acts together.  Mikey finds himself all alone but still believing that he and Brian will be together.  He remains unchanging.  Happy you enjoyed this chapter!!!!  Thanks for taking time to comment, I truly appreciate it!!!  Bill

ok, i really liked this chapter a lot! jay's dad is starting to wise up and realize he needs to be more active in jay's life. he should get custody of jay!

linds and michael were totally useless to jr but i wouldn't expect anything different.

ben and debbie are FINALLY waking up to smell the coffee and realize michael is nothing more than mean and spitful and jealous sorry excuse for a man, a husband and a father.

and god bless justin for resoundingly saying NO to jr moving in with them. i feel kind of sorry for her, but not enough to want bj to have her live with them. on top of everything else negative for that idea is the plain fact michael would be underfoot there all the time if his daughter lived there and would be nasty and snarky to justin. the way brian waffles about michael, it is up for grabs what he would do about that.

somebody has to have a come-to-jesus talk with mel and linds about their treatment toward jr. i think jennifer or granny, or better yet both, would be great for that!! kind of strange the girls don't even want to talk to each other about how jr feels and that she wants to live with brian and justin.

i'm soooo glad to see deb and ben get tougher with michael and also really glad justin let brian know he didn't want jr to live with them.

of course, now i can't wait for the next chapter!!! and since jen wants to pay jr's tuition at private school, maybe she'd like to raise her also... she's the only one with enough tough love to straighten that spoiled brat out. lol

Author's Response:

Glad to know you enjoyed this chapter.  I think David is not alone in trying to avoid bitter ex wife and in consequence short changing innocent child.  I think Jay has glimpsed life that is fun and he won't easily go back to Andrea's den of seriousness & gloom.  Poor JR doesn not have many people looking our for her.  I think this time Ben rally has had enough.  Justin knows the answer to JR is not joining their household.  They are responsible for enough kids already!!  So now you like Grandmom Jen, I still remberhow you defamed that poor woman!!  Your comments are always interesting to read!!!   Thanks!!!! Can the next chapter have a lot less Michael except maybe for Brian refusing to help him.

So the list to be pissed at Michael gets longer and now includes his mother....

i don’t see there being a chance in hell Brian helps Michael with a place to live.

I see JR being very disruptive in school to the point they call someone in.

I want to feel bad for JR but I don’t like her or any of her parents and I blame them for her issues.

i like that Peter makes friends easily and now he is a completely different kid from when he first came to Brian and Justin.

I felt for Justin being stuck trying to explain to JR why she can’t stay.

i still hate Michael I think Joe’s old motel room is available...

so while I waited and waited on this chapter I got 3/4 of the way through The first part of this story. Mostly because I wanted to see how it started. But then I start to realize how much I like the people you added into Brian and Justin’s life. John and Peter obviously but Alice and Charlie the kids friends and their families. I am going back to finish that and maybe you will have another chapter up before I am done.

Author's Response:

It was a long time between updates and I have no good excuse.  I glad you didn't abandon me.  I sometimes go back and read past chapters to refresh my memory of events.  Mostly what I see are all my errors and think maybe I should have a beta reader but I get over it and muddle thru on my own.  Glad to know you enjoy my original characters.  I like them myself but I guess why wouldn't I since I created them.  I always enjoy that people like Kevin so much, renews my faith in human nature.  He is loosely based on someone I knew years ago.

Mikey is busy making sure there is no one to help him.  Doubtful that Bruan will provide him with housing.  Poor JR she has not gotten much luck in the parent department.  Peter is lucky to find some kindred spirits and is basically a happy, open kid who wants to enjoy life.  His uncle encourage him.  Justin was in an impossible situation, one that anyone would hate top be in and did his best to handle it.  Maybe Nico can help Mikey find a comfortable place to live???  As alwys love reading yoiur comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Bill

Hope you are doing well, Bill!!   Excellent chapter as always!!!

Way to go, Debbie.   I love that she finally told off Michael.   He is certainly a few french fries short of a happy meal.    No matter what anybody says to him, nothing seems to get through his thick skull.    Even after everything that Brian said to him, he is now under the impression that he will buy him a house or let him have the loft?   Michael is really and truly living in a dream world.  Brian is not going to give him anything.  And I am so happy that Ben finally met his quota and left Michael.    And I still continue to feel horrible for JR.   That poor girl is going to be so messed up living with Mel and Lindsay.   Neither one of them should be parents.   They are just horrible!!!

Author's Response:

Things are good with me.  Hope the same is true for you.  Even Debbie can see how inadequate a father Michael is.  Mikey is unchanging no matter what else he is.  When Brian talks Mikey picks the words he choses to hear.  Mikey is devoted to his dream of him and Brian together.  Ben really has had enough, I don't see any reconciliation in the future.  JR is in a bad situation and none of her parents seem capable of taking charge.  Glad you enjoyed this latest chapter.  Thanks so much for sharing your comments, they always make interesting reading!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

I reread the last two chapters again and I agree with you that Jennifer is just trying to be helpful and just doesn't think it is anyone's business, but someone will eventually find out and I wonder how Melanie will react when she finds out.  Still cannot stand Michael or Lindsay.  I laugh at myself because I get so involved in this series.  Not my first time reading it and will read it again I am sure.  But I blame you because if you weren't such a great writer I woul not be so involved.  Thank you again for this series.  So great.

Author's Response:

THANK YOU!!!!!!!  Debbie doesn't have that many wealthy friends so the pool of possible benefactors isn't not very deep.  I think B&J will figure it out quickly.  Mel's reaction should be interesting.  I think she is the main reason Jennifer wants to keep it quiet.  She doesn't want it to seem like she is doing something nice for Melanie or Lindsay.  I am always impressed when readers say they reread this long saga, so thank you for your support.  I apologize for gettng you hooked on my long saga.  I appeciate your very nice comments!!!!  Bill

i know the story line. brian made the loan to craig several years ago because he KNEW jen wouldn't take what she would have considered a "handout" at that time...

jen is clearly making plenty of money with her business, allowing craig to quit paying support. and she took over molly's rent this year so brian didn't have to pay that. just sayin'...

i lived in 19 different houses until i was 18 and moved out of mom's house. i don't remember how many school changes that involved but it was a LOT. i used to dream (for years) that the school bus driver let me off the bus in the afternoon and as he drove away, i turned to go into the house and realized i didn't live there anymore.

i feel sorry for jr because she has lousy parents, who are the ones who really caused any stresses she may be feeling but not for the school change. is jennifer going to pay for her for the rest of jr's school life? with lindsay's spending and mel's mouth, along with michael's gross negligence financially, i don't see them ever really having very much discretionary cash for private schools. so i say rip the bandaid off now and get it over with. it just makes sense to me. but, i'm done with jen; she will do what she wants and jr may wind up paying an even bigger price for that later.

Author's Response:

You and I have very different life experiences.  I lived on the same house from 6 to 23 (when I got married).  All 8 years at the same elementary school and 4 years at the same high school.  Since 23 I have lived in 12 different homes. 4 on the the west coast and rest here in PA.  I hope you can get over your problem with my womderful Jennifer!!!  Take care, always good to read your comments!!!  Bill

to me, it is bad enough that jen is subsidizing mel by paying jr's tuition, but why the secrecy???? if she's gonna do it, at LEAST have the integrity to do publicly and not try to sneak around. that bothers me even more than her paying the tuition.

i'm not a huge fan of public schools, at least a lot of them, but the "girls" and debbie seem to be pretty hung up private schooling for jr so it would seem they do feel the public schools are inferior and not good enough for their almost lower-middle class daughter.

gotta see how this plays out... jen isn't getting off my shit list easily, if at all, with the sneaking around and i'm really interested to see how b/j and granny feel. and, after the initial little protest by debbie, she quickly got on board with the whole thing... and michael and mel continue to get bailed out.

can't wait for the next chapter.... now michael just has to find a sucker to help him pay mel for support for his daughter.... maybe jen will cover that too... why not?

and give the mediocre "artist" a show... she could help the family finances but would probably spend her "earnings" on clothes and other me-me-me stuff.

ted is the one i am really impressed with now. he really stood up to mel and clearly has a strong sense of right and wrong and i appreciate him a big bunch!!!

but i still love the overall story and looking forward to the next chapter! ty for getting my juices stirred up... even it is my blood boiling!! lol big hugs!!!

Author's Response:

It is not public vs private school that is the problem.  JR is a little girl who was moved from the home she was familiar with in Canada to the USA.  She lived in a loft for a while before herfamily moved to a single home.  She went to a new school in a new country.  Nw her older brother was no longer going to live in the same house as her.  She will see less of Uncle Bri and Uncle Jus who have been a pretty big part of her life and who she loves.  Now she may also have to leave the school where she has made freinds and start ove at a new school.  Her grandmother is concened about all the changes in JR's life and how they effect the little girl.  So her friend offers to payJR's tuition s she can continue at a familiar shcool with her friends.  JR is an innocent little girl, she played no part in her mothers' behavior.  Jennifer does not want to publically do something to help Melanie and Lindsay who she dislikes,  I suspect some people may think Brian gave Debbie the money, even Ted or Emmett may have taken pity on Debbie and gave her money.  Hugs back to you,  Bill

Sweet Baboo,  After reading Mary's review boy was she pissed, but it reminded me Debbie's actions she seems to use her tears to get what she wants just like Lindsay. She cried to Brian about little mikey needed a job against his better judgement he gave mikey a job---first day he belittles Justin in front of other employees KICK HIM TO THE CURB, Debbie wants to meet Joe's uncle and Brian pulls out all the stops at Kinntic top refreshments a board room (the uncle was an ass) for Debbie, all mikey thought about was how much it cost and who would pay for it--Debbie didn't even ask. Again with the tears about JR's school so Jen agrees to pay (mother Taylor may find herself unwelcome at Britin and unable to see her grandchildren for a small amount of time, and I don't see that being Brian's doing I think Justin his going to cause a major explosion. Do not see Granny on her side either. Love, your Sally

Author's Response:

Mr Darling Sally, Brian feels a lot of gratitude to Debbie for providing him with a place of refuge.  He loves her and wants to repay her kindness. He is susceptable to tears from anyone he cares about.  I think Justin is amused by Mikey.  He has no trouble telling Mikey offf whenever he annoys him.  The other employee was shocked by what Mikey said, she thought he was nuts.  I don't think that Brian will care about JR's tuition and who pays it.  He is fond of JR.  I believe Brian would be afraid to forbid Jennifer from visiting and Justin would not allow him to do it.  There would a household revolt led by Alice with John, Peter and especially Gus fighting against the ban.  Can you imagine Gus's reaction if his Daddy said Grandmom Jen could not visit!!!!!!! I can't imagine Granny caring what Jennifer does with her own money.  I am shocked by the reaction to Jennifer giving Debbie the money.  To me it has nothing to do Brian or Justin.  in case you didn't read my reply to Mary: My Jennifer is perfect!!!!!!  So are you my darling Sally, as always I remain your sweet Baboo

ok, clearly i have too much time on my hands but since jennifer pissed me off by paying for jr's tuition, i'm looking at things a bit differently as i read this story again.

brian gave craig a loan so craig could continue to pay mollie's support because jennifer wouldn't want to take a "handout" if brian tried to give the money directly to her.

but if jennifer now has so much money she can afford jr's tuition, why isn't she now paying mollie's tuition, instead of brian and justin paying it??? seems like mollie's tuition should be paid by her before she takes on jr's... jen will not easily get off my shit list, if she does at all over this stunt.

any why the secrecy about it?? as someone else said, everyone knows debbie can't afford to pay it so it's going to be pretty obvious she's the one paying it. and i'm thinking granny would not be too pleased with her secrecy trying to go behind brian's back and jennifer's squinty-eyed glare won't do much good with granny.

sorry if you think i'm beating a dead horse but jennifer's sneaky behavior over jr's tuition has brought my claws out where she is concerned.

Author's Response:

You are not rereading everything.  Craig asked Jennifer to reduce her alimony and instead she said he could stop paying because her business was doing so well.  Brian made that loan to Craig when Justin was living in NYC so that was a few years ago.  B&J offered to pay Molly's tution 3 years ago. I very much doubt Brian would go along with Jennifer paying Molly's tuition since he offered to do it.  He has continued to give Molly "mad money" even though her mother disapproves. Tucker has also moved in with Jennifer so he is contributing to the household expenses which gives Jennifer more disposable income.  I do NOT consider that Jennifer is going behind anyone's back.  She is making a generous offer to a friend (Debbie) that she doesn't think is anyone else's business.  I am about 90% sure that Brian will figure out who is really paying JR's tuition.  Debbie doesn't have that many rich friends.  Plus I think it is Jennifer's money and she can spend it any way she likes.  Jennifer has the same family trait as her mother they don't care what people think, they do as they please.  Love your reviews and your comments but I really disagree with your feelings about Jennifer giving Debbie the tuition money.  Judging from some other reviews you are not alone in your feelings.  After B&J, my Jennifer is my favorite character in the story.  So we must agree to disagree.  Still love you!!!!!!  Bill

ok, i'm confused... at the party, people seem to be organizing to play tennis, badminton, and volley ball all about the same time. but don't they have to use the tennis court to play all those games??

obviously, i'm reading these last few chapters too much...  or maybe they have more than one net set up just for the party  ...lol

Author's Response:

Personally I have always played volleyball & badminton on the grass.  Always set up a net for large partied for either volleyball or badminton.  B&J have lots of cleared grassy area behind the house for all the activites to occur simultaneously.  Bill

One of my favorites with a new chapter.  If Michael wants his daughter to go to a private school, he should do what a lot of parents have to do.  Get a second job!

I have always thought that Justin should be the one to fire Muchael, he owns Kinnetik also and Michael is disrespecting one of the owners.  Justin should tell Brian that the next time Michael says anything to him, he is going to fire him and Brian should agree.  Enough already.  As mush as I love Jennifer, she needs to but out of this.

so love this series.

Author's Response:

Now let's be realistic, Mikey has toruble enough handling one job.  Justin is mostly amused by Mikey, he knows he is number one with Brian so anything Mikey says is just so much noise.  You are another reader thinking badly about My Jennifer.  How can you not realize she is perfect just as she is.  Seriously she is giving Debbie the money so Debbie won't worry about another big change for JR.  To me it is not about private vs public school it is about JR not having to go to another new school after 1 year at Fort Pitt.  Bill

HMMM,  if linds wants a show, she must have a lot of paintings to show. where is all the money for art supplies, which are NOT cheap, coming from???

just askin' lol

Author's Response:

Well there was Brian's support.

I finally got a chance to catch up on th last three chapters. (That should tell you what my life has been like this last month.)

CH 23: Kate - What she did is despicable. And regardless if granny didn't want to press charges, the police station would have. I dispatched at the sheriff's office before my hotel stint, and believe me, that's a crime, and the police would have contacted the DA, and he would have pressed charges, regardless of granny's wishes. It wouldn't have been granny bringing charges, but the state. Hopefully, the lawyer gets disbarred, at least that's some consolation.

CH 25: Not much to say about 24, but now - OMG!  I shouldn't start because I MIGHT not shut my mouth... This business with Michael NOT paying support. Who do I get angry at first? Maybe Mel, for NEVER making him...  He took her to court to get custody... CUSTODY means you pay support, or you have NO legal rights. And I'm going back to this same old, same old, when I mentioned how much money Michael and Ben make between them. At the time, you said Michael was paying Ben back and Ben had to save money for health costs not covered by insurance. THAT IS SELFISH!!! Ben HAS money. And  just how much is Michael supposed to be 'paying him back'? And for how long? Besides, they are MARRIED! When you are married, it's NOT yours and mine. it's OURS! My God, if I had tried to separate my household like that,  as Tammy Wynette so adamently said: D.I.V.O.R.C.E. would have taken place.

Brian's little smackdown to Michael was long overdue - but I find it confusing that it came just over him asking for money. ALL the times that Michael has dissed and slammed Justin in the past, yet Brian has never told him to shut up. (anniversary party the exception, and that still didn't shut Michael from spewing his hate!) Brian DIDN'T hear the comment at Debbie's about Justin not making money and being supported by Brian (and kudos for Joe speaking up!) So why go all Rage on Michael over asking for money which he has been doing for years?

I also mentioned something one time about Jennifer ALWAYS butting in where she shouldn't. The fact she said she would pay for J.R.'s school is hogwash. Brian said NO! So now when J.R. can still go, it's going to put up a red flag. Now, Jennifer wants it kept a secret... Secrets have a nasty, nasty way of being exposed. ANYONE who cannot figure out Jennifer is supplying the income is plain clueless. Where would Debbie get that kind of money? Did her dead grandma - die again? Leaving her her fortune? And Debbie has always been strongly independant. Not one to take handouts, and worked 80 hours a week to support Michael and buy her house. YEP! Hogwash!

Lindsay - First, she hasn't seen her son for ages, and other than a hello, made NO attempt to see him or spend time with him. Second, the fact that her and Mel have never explained to J.R. that Gus won't be living with them anymore - is so stupid and pathetic. With the way J.R. found out, Mel and Lindsay will be lucky if they don't really experience some acting out on J.R.'s part. I had four kids. Believe me, you don't keep stuff from one, without anticipating recourse. (See, the secret of Gus living with Brian full-time, just came out.) Third, the audacity of her expecting Justin and Sydney to give her a show - sight unseen - is about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! She prides herself on her knowledge about the art world, yet thought just because she was 'family' and an 'acquaintance' they would give into her whims.

I mentioned one other time I'd be interested in seeing her 'art' being it was behind locked doors, but excuse me, if Lindsay is dealing with any lingering PTSD, and that comes out in her art? Just NO! I have read PTSD stories, I have read stories about how some of Justin's work is dark and disturbing. And well, at least he KNOWS how to paint. Lindsay is mediocre, at best, and if any of her inner turmoil is reflected, lord have mercy... it probably isn't fit for the eye. IF she was so GOOD with her art, that she should have stuff hanging in galleries, she NEVER would have gotten married, had a baby, and started a family. She always wanted to be an artist, but couldn't make it when she was in college - so she certainly isn't going to make it after being away from it for 20 years. Delusional - with a capital 'D'...

I'm going to read the reviews from other readers now and see what they all think. I don't think I'm far off from their comments - as I think this fandom is made up with about 85-90% 'anti' Michael and Lindsay members than 'pro'... and usually everyone is vying for them to get their hind-ends booted off the planet.

Thanks for all the updates.

Author's Response:

Glad you enjoyed the updates.  I always enjoy reading your comments.  The police don't know what Kate did.  Charlie had the cookies tested as a favor, he knows everyone in the county.  There was no offical report of the incident.  Michale took money out of Ben's retirement fund topay back rent for his defunct comic book store.  That is what he is paying back.  Brian has told Mikey off a few time over the length of this story, it doesn't have a long lasting effect.  Justin knows he is number one with Brian so he doesn't actually care what Mikey has to say.  He has also told Mikey off a few time himself.  Lindsay has issues!!!!  It will be interesting to see what art she has created.  My wonderful Jennifer is on the bad side of a few reviewers.  I think Jennifer doesn't want her paying to becommon knowledge.  I am 100% sure Brian and Justin will figure it out.  I can't imagine they will care.  I think they may be happy that JR doesn't have to face another big change in her life.  They are both very fond of JR.  Thanks for the review!!!  Bill

i lost a LOT of respect for jen over the tuition. the vast majority of kids go to public schools and altho i know most of the schools really stink, they survive. jen is enabling, and i would even say, somewhat condoning the bad behavior of linds, mel and michael. to me that far overrides the "helping jen understand gay stuff" and sends a terrible message.... ok, i'm done with jen...maybe really done...will see if she can get off my shit list somehow... not sure she can. but still looking forward to the next chapter!!!  hugs bill...

Author's Response:

It is not a comdemnation of public schools but just one less change in JR's life.  I don't want anyone to get that impression.  Hugs back to you,  Bill

Oh I do love a Mikey smackdown, especially when it is delivered by Brian himself!!

Looks like Lindsay's entitlement issues are back too!

Please, please, please, include in your story a smackdown for both of them by Granny at some point!  And Mel too if poss.  I love this new character you have created.  Granny has fitted in very well with this, to her, 'new' family and become, like Brian, ultra protective of them.  Maybe she could overhear one or both of them running down someone in her 'new' family and act accordingly.

Don't want to tell you how to write your story, just a suggestion!

Thanks, as always,

Deb L.

P.S. maybe let Deb know not to step on her toes too?

Author's Response:

We will see if Mikey got the message.  Liancends got a surpise from Sidney, he is NOT a fan.  I'm sure Granny will get a chance to follow your suggestion.  Ialways appreciate suggestions even if I don't follow them.  Always look forwar to your reviews  Thanks!!!!!!!  Bill

i re-read and really paid attention to the party conversations... i actually think it is going pretty well. granny, figuratively, spit in michael's eye...

lindsay found out her ploy to get sympathy is not going to work and she in no longer entitled to special status... and brian was brutally outspoken to michael, which was really needed. and, more importantly, did not seem a bit upset about doing it, leaving immediately with john to go referee the soccer game.

jen? not going there. she is on my shit list right now.

Author's Response:

You make me laugh.  Granny left no doubt about her feelings on Michael.  Linds got a big reality check, mostly from Sidney who can't forget past mistakes.  You will have to resolve your Jennifer issues because she won't change her mind even if others disagree.  I can certainly tell you are invested in this story, THANK YOU!!!!!!  Bill

Thank you for the new chapter.  I was looking for it all weekend and when it didn't show up, I was so sad.  So when I checked again yesterday morning and didn't see it, I just hoped you would post an update this coming weekend and didn't check throughout the day until I did one last time (with fingers crossed but not really believing it would be there) before I went to bed and was so surprised to see the new chapter.  YAY!!!! And it was an action filled chapter, or maybe I should say it was a chance to read what was going on with most of the characters througout that 24 hour or so period.  So much to talk about:

Loved Granny taking the time to introduce herself to so many of the people in the Taylor-Kinney world.   Seeing Michael for who he truly is and her scoffing at his "best friend" remarks made me chuckle.  Also loved how protective she was of the twins.

Loved Kevin with the grandmas and playing soccer with the older boys and how John & Patrick looked after Gus & Kevin in the game. I enjoyed Carl & Deb watching the soccer game and supporting Joe. I also liked a glimpse into getting to know Rusty a little bit and some of his thoughts. I love Emmett so I would love to learn more about that duo.

Michael is just such a loser moocher. I mean, come on, how can he be so worthless.  Worthless to the core.  Frankly, Ben kind of made me roll my eyes too.  $100 for a month?  Are you kidding me?  I know receptionists in my life and they support their entire families on their salary. Not saying they live the life of luxury, but they would certainly pay more than that per month on their kids.  PA's average receptionist salary is $35,000 to $44,000 per year per salary.com.  Even if the support only comes from the loser moocher, he should still be able pay at least $500/month.  But Ben is a tenured professor and should be making at least $75,000/yr (the average per salary.com is $70K to $120K). There has to be more money than that to help support your child. I get they are supporting Hunter too, but does that mean the other child has to starve?  Ben acted like $100/mo was the best they can do.  Why? What the hell are they spending their money on.  Even if Kinnetic doesn't pay that much, I bet he's making at least $25K, which is $25K more than he ever made before so why are they acting like they have no money.  I thought Ben put a stop to loser moocher using all his money buying toys.  Sorry, got off on a tangent there.

As for Lindsay, for the last few chapters, or maybe even longer, every time it is mentioned that Lindsay is working in her studio, I have been thinking of this book I read nearly 30 years ago (yes, I'm old) called The First Wives Club.  The book was wayyyy darker than the movie which was a comedy. In the book, the mistress of one of the cheating husbands was an artist. And she was very secretive of what she was doing with her art.  When it was finally revealed, it was literally piles of shit. Literally.  She had been sexually abused and was batshit crazy and the cheating husband finally realized.  I think of this character every time it is expressed how Lindsay wants to spend all her time in the studio and doesn't seem to be the least bit interested in her children.  The way she expected Justin and Sidney to just give her a show without seeing the art, really made me wonder if we were going to see Lindsay pull the same batshit crazy out in her art.  It might be interesting to see if it is completely off the wall.

What is the deal with the munchers not telling JR that Gus was now living with B&J?  Do they just not communicate with her at all or do they think Gus is coming back to live with them?  My mind is all a twitter trying to think why they wouldn't tell her. I wonder how she is going to react. Can't wait to see.

Loved Brian getting in Michael's face, now if only he would actually do what he always says is going to happen if he does it again.

Although it may not sound like I enjoyed this chapter, I really did.  I loved all of it, even if I was rolling my eyes at the Novotny-Bruckners and Batshit Crazy. I love this story and can never get enough of it.  Anxiously awaiting a new chapter from you to see what else happens at this party and aftermath.  Love ya! (sorry this review is so long)

Author's Response:

Hi Holly,  nice to hear from you again!!  Glad you areenjoying the party,  Mikey is still payng back all the money he took from Ben's retirement fund to pay the rent on his defunct store.  I think Lindsay's arm may turn out to be shitty but I am thinking not literally but that could be an interesting option.  Poor JR lost big time in the parent lottery.  None of them are focusied on her needs.  Mikey may just be clever enough to avoid being punched or fired.  I enjoy your comments so never apologize for length.  Hope you continue to enjoy this long saga.  Bill

forgot to mention... after all my fussing about brian not standing up more for justin, i am sooo pleased that he really laid it out to michael at the picnic. now if michael just pays continued attention to what brian told him, or if he doesn't, that brian actually follows thru with what he told michael, i'll be a totally happy camper.

oh and if justin and sidney are crazy enough to show linds artwork, i hope they charge her exactly what they would any other artist! that's only fair, i think....  thanks and hugs againfor the new chapter!!

ben spent a LOT of money on hunter and i'm just really surprised there isn't some of that which could now be used for jr. ... and i'm still annoyed with jennifer... oh well, i'm sure it will work out...

Author's Response:

Miley has a very, very hard time amending his image of Brian.  I think he will be able to avoid punch and job loss, but who knows!!!!!   You do know Jennifer alwasy does what she wants despite opposing opinions.  Bill

Another amazing chapter for us to enjoy and enjoy I did. Gus had so much fun working with Emmet and for Granny to see that put a smile on my face just as much it did on hers. Both Mickey and Lindsay are off the scales nuts when it comes to trying to get what they want. I mean seriously how could Mickey think that Brian would pay for JRs school. Lindsay how could see ask that of Justin and Sidney. They need a lesson in life. My heart goes out to poor JR she needs out of that house.

Brilliant work x

Well I'm happy to see an update and I think this chapter has left me a little breathless. First Debbie who complains that poor JR will no longer be able to go to her school. Well her parents can't afford to pay for her, they put her somewhere else. Jennifer has a good heart but it is not a thing to do and I hope that Carl or Mélanie will not allow it or with reimbursement conditions.

Did Michael finally hear and understand something about what Brian told him, maybe, although I would like Brian to hit him and fire him because he's going to spit his venom at Justin again (but I know that you're not that mean!).

And Lindsay the thief and the liar who thinks to force Justin and Sydney to hang her art because it is her. She is truly in her fantasy world.

Finally last remark why his mothers did not say what is going on with Gus? Is he already forgotten? I'm waiting for the new update because the party isn't over, is it?

Author's Response:

I think Debbie was feeling bad about another chnage in her granddaughter's life.  Jennifer just wanted to help her friend.  I don't believe anyone can stop Jennifer once she has made up her mind to do something.  I don't think there will be any Mikey punches but who knows what may happen.  Lindsay got a leeson in what happens is the past has consequences.  Poor JR did not win the parent lottery.  Her mothers are very wrong for not explaining things to her.  Thanks for the review, I really appreciate them!!!!!  Bill
