Amanda, this was absolutely beautiful! While the reason for Brian's thinking was so horrible (the shooting), you did an amazing job of writing this, and expressing in a short amount of words exactly how much he loves Justin.

"These colors don’t run." Wow. A very short sentence, but with a big meaning - dual meanings - in those words. So many lives lost. But also resiliency.

You are a gifted writer, and we are fortunate to have you posting with us. Thank you for writing this! I will be looking forward to reading the next chapter of your other story just as soon as I can. ~Kim

Kim your comments always warm my heart and encourage me to keep writing and sharing. Writing this was so cathartic and mostly just for me. Knowing it touched others is icing on the cake. I hope one day stories like this are historical fiction and not reflective of current events. Until then, I’ll keeep writing.
