Loved this.... d84;a039; Lovely alternative to the usual way they meet.

Author's Response:

Thank you.  I have to admit that it's one of my faves.  Mainly because I truly do feel that it was a "gift".  Something that flowed through my fingertips from somewhere else entirely.  Except for a bit of finessing (like mentioning my beloved Pens) I was just the conduit.

You have no idea how much this story touched my heart.  Living near Pittsburgh as a child we always went into the city to see the windows decorated at Kaufmanns, Gimbels and Hornes department stores.  It was the highlight of our Christmas seeing the fabulous displays.  And, the crowds were 10 deep in front of each window.  You have given me another good Christmas memory with this story.  Thank you and Merry Christmas to you.

Author's Response:

Thank you.  I never got to see Kaufmanns' Christmas windows, but I did visit the store on my first visit to Pittsburgh and really liked it.  I especially loved the clock, so it was a no brainer to set the story at Kaufmanns.  Glad you enjoyed the story and that it brought back good memories for you.

This is one of my very, very favorite Christmas story that I enjoy reading over and over again.  I really lovethe art you've added.  It's perfect.

Author's Response:

Thank you.  I have to admit that I have a soft spot for it myself.  As it was one of the "gift" stories - something that just flowed through my fingertips with very little conscious "writing" on my part - I mainly just feel grateful that it was given to me.  Glad you enjoyed it.
