The shopping expeditions are some of my favorite chapters.  It's Brian, along with the three kids, Justin, Gus and JR without any family interference.  Brian is so caring of all three.  It also hints at the problems the little ones have been facing in the year they've been gone.  Clothing too small and little food to eat.  Something very wrong there.  I fell in love with them all over again.  Little JR is so excited and it's a shame that she feels like a little stepchild when Brian will do anything for her, inspite of what her mom says.  Love the resturants that they go to and wonder when Gus visited them, because it was only a year that Justin was away yet so much has happened to Liberty Ave.  Justin has also made a head start with making sure that Brian eats and drinks more.  The clothes shopping was out of this world.  JR being so excited.  Both kids got a lot of clothing, more than enough shoes for every day of the week. I would dearly love to see the motif of Rage that Justin drew.  I can't imagine what it could be that Brian found objectional.  Justin, rightly so in my opinion, feels guilty accepting so much from Brian.  Brian, on the other hand, seems to take great joy in being able to provide for the three.  It's a shame Gus and JR are so insecure.  As always a joy to read over and over.

Hi again! It’s beautiful to see Brian with the kids (and with Justin). Funny, I thought this would be a chapter maybe a little bit more light-hearted, but then again… I’m very curious about the sketch, What is it that changes the mood so completely? And then at the elevator: I don’t know, I get the impression, that Brian – although he don’t want to have many / any expectations – expected Justin again to understand without explaining or even talking about. But he talked with his friends (Shane, Judson, especially Jim – and in the show often with Michael or Lindsay) about his relationship with Justin or for example about very personal things like their rules and he had told them even his opinion about it, but it seems as if he had never talked much with Justin much about those things. Shouldn’t the important conversations been between them? And before I forget: Gus is great, is so cute! I just can repeat myself. Great story, it let me think about so many things, about what is right or wrong (although I know that there isn’t not only black and white), how to behave in a relationship, what to expect from others and what not…. When I’ll see the show the next time, I think I’ll see it maybe a little bit through other eyes. And again I’m so curious about what is coming. Warmest regards, a.

So it is not going to be an easy road for B&J.  So many clues to trouble in Canada, shoes that don't fit and being forgotten at the mall.  Nice to have a chapter without Debbie & Michael being buttheads.  Really curious about the shetch for Gus's Tshirt.  Not sure how I feel about Justin accepting all those clothes from Brian??  Looking forward to the next update!!!!!  Bill

Author's Response: I needed a rest from writing Debbie and Michael ;-) Remember that sketch, it will turn up again later! (Much later, LOL) As for the clothes... well, Brian acquired a third kid. Seriously, Brian doesn't overthink this, he's always taken care of Justin. And Justin... he's only too glad to look half-decent again. Other people... won't keep their mouths shut.
