Well written backstory. It had me shuddering in disgust at the cruellitly Jack and Joan dished out to a growing up Brian.

I never read any of the books so this is a good way to get some backstory.

Enjoyed the walk down memory lane even if some of those memories are not very happy. I liked Debbie telling Brian he should think of what was best for both himself & Justin.
