well, i'm really late to the party but glad i found this author and the stories.
i liked this story, a lot. my only real disappointment is brian allowing michael to continue with the remodeling of the store, using what now turns out to be Brian's money.
deb should have had enough sense not to refinance her mortgage just to help her worthless son, but she will never learn either. she and brian both enabled him in this one, but at least brian punched him out and that made me feel really good.
now gonna find the photo shoot and read it.

I'm trying to catch up on a number of stories - RL in the way again.... But today had the chance to read this and photo shoot all in one go. Great stories. I would like to see Michael having to pay back the money he borrowed - if he truly is sorry (yeah right!!!!! - more like he's sorry he got caught...) maybe he'll grow more responsible and less selfish when he realizes how hard it is to work for money and it should be used wisely.
Love that Brian hired Justin without knowing.....LOL

Here's your 100th comment. All and all i loved this story. I'm glad that they didn' forgive michael like magic because that would've been too unrealistic. i also like that Brian and Justin were there for her. The other thing that i really liked was that the lezzies were no where to be found. So yea i liked this stoyr a lot. I guess there was only one thing i didn't like about it and that was Carl. I don't know seems like he might would've been a little upset about Brian stepping in like that, and it was like he was just there and not doing anything to help out Deb. i mean i see Brian giving her some money but why couldn't that just be money for her to i don't know do something nice for herself. it was almost like Carl was just married to Debbie and not doing anything financially. now i hope you know that i mean no negativity with this comment because Girl i love your writing. i can't wait for us to share our story with everyone. this story was good and i did like it but i don't know i know that Michael is whiny and he can do some awful things, but i don't think he would do that to deb. I've always loved the kindness of Brian. He did so much good and they acted as if they never saw that and that was something that always got to me. He saved Ted, he planned the munchers wedding and they wouldn't even let him stay. He did so much all the time and Justin was the only one who saw him. Great story Vic.

This chapter showed Brian is not the asshole he shows to the world. To Kelly and Emma he was just Brian, their prince charming making their wishes come true, he treated them much like Gus and the girls were adorable and they have no idea of the cash bonus that will make their lifes so wonderful. I can understand why Brian was in a panic when Debbie passed out, it's just impossible for him to even think of her being ill or to lose her. great chapter

I enjoyed the message of this chapter. The two little girls are so young and still have a great imagination I think we lose that as we get older. I loved this chapter. Mr. Grumpy is always a difficult patient when he's not healthy, Jus has to be bossy to get him to stay home and take his medicine. Be willing to bet that Bri loves the attention, He knows whatever Jus does for him is freely given and with love.

Wow girl....when you said it was going to be a short chapter, you really meant it! Nice job of rounding it all up, yet leaving the door open for more.
So nice that Brian is able to look after Deb. She deserves it. He's looking after who he feels is his real mom.
Not sure how I feel about Micheal. A part of me feels he got off too lightly. Not sure if that's the "anti-Micheal" in me, thus making me have blinders on or not.
Have to say, that was a fun twist on Brian hireing justin. I enjoyed that. Obviously a good choice.
All in all...a great fic!!!! It really gave a good view of who I think things should've been. Not necessarily specifics, but attude whise. (am I making sense?) Too many people let Micheal off the hook too many times for too many reasons, so this was a bit of a soothing balm for me.
Definitely looking forward to seeing what else you bring forward for us to read.

I know we are now finished with this story. I just wanted to let
you know how much I enjoyed it. You did a terrific job.
Like others who gave feedback, I have a problem with what it
cost Michael. The money Michael spent giving out drinks and
reconstructing his book store was in the end, Brian’s. Except for
an apology, what is Michael contributing to anything. Michael
comes out of this with a fixed up store and money in his pocket.

Hmmm. I'm not sure about this. Yes, Michael feels bad but that's still all about his feelings. He still got away with his mooching. If he really learned something, he would have make plans to pay back. Like tell Brian he'll give him 1-5% of any profits he makes from the comic store or his share of Rage. That may not be much, but it's an attempt. But no.

I'm at a bit of an impass. That might have something to do with my dislike of Micheal though. LOL. I'm still pissed off about the renos still having been done. Will you have him pay that money back still? Justin, always so soft hearted adn willing to forgive. I think that is more out of his love for Deb and Brian, than any personal feelings towards Micheal. He's right though. It's going to take time for forgiveness as it should. I wonder about Ben, Hunter and Brian's feelings on it.
I think I'm feeling abit of Micheal's anxiety. LOL. Definitely looking forward to the epilogue. I have every faith that you will wrap everything up in a pretty red bow.
As much as I don't like the idea of anything happening to Deb, I have really been enjoying this one. Really bringing out the heart of Brian. showing the loving relationship between he and Deb. As for being antiMicheal, I like it that you showed him as being so self serving, and not just being manipulative towards B&J. (Mind you, I really like those types of fics too ;) ) Hopefully he's actually learned something throughout this, and isn't just apologizing because of how their reactions it all effects him, but how his selfishness effects the family. Know what I mean?
Definitely one that I'll be putting onto my Kindle to read again once it's completed.

Instead of cancelling the remodeling and making do with the old shelves which would recoup some of the money, Michael is just continuing his merry way. He says he's sad and learned his lesson, but actions speak louder than words and so far, it's the same old Mikey.

I cannot believe Micheal is going though with the renovations. He really should've just paid back the money, but I suppose he figured since Brian paid off the mortgage, and he can afford it, then he needn't bother. As much as he's saddened by Ben, Hunter's and Ben's reactions, he's still plugging along with the same attitude. It didn't occur to him to stop the renos from happening. He claims to have learned his lesson, but has he really? guess we'll soon find out.
Wonder what this dinner with Deb and the others will bring to the forfront? Definitely looking forward to that!!

A really nice array of "clips". Seeing the various little aspects of what's going on that day. Glad Deb is being looked after.
Micheal. Frustrating that he continues to feel sorry for himself. That even though Ben and Hunter are out of the house, his thoughts are of Brian. What the hell is it going to take for him to wake up? Argh! ;)
And can I just say you are a tease.........that little pit with the girls. I'm looking forward to your story on that even more. It's a bit like another fic I'm reading. Once of my favorite characters is a little boy with Downs. I always look froward to the parts of the story with him in it. the same goes for this. While B&J are the central characters, their interactions, with these kids are always so touching. Especially Brian, as he always tends to come across as so touch as nails. Seeing him be so gentle with kids, and interacting on their level is a part of him that you know is there, but rarely see.
Have to admit, I kept coming back here a few times yesterday looking for this update. lol. Hope you had a good day with the family!
