Great chapter! Exciting twists with Joe and the nephews. We will see some fighting and sreaming.

thnak you!!

Author's Response:

Glad you enjoyed this chapter.  I think there will be some fighting and if Debbie is involved we can be sure there will be screaming.  Thanks for the review, I LOVE to get them!!!  Bill

Wow!!!! A new chapter and it's a really good one. Where to start first I guess at the house with the boys. John and Justin cooking and talking was sweet and allows Justin to find out what is going on with John without really trying to pull it out of him which no teenager likes. John and Peter including Gus both in games and meal setup makes him feel like a big boy.

Lindsay will never learn Justin is not the pushover everyone except Brian knows he isn't. Murals can change or be painted over Justin knows this Lindsay is learning.

Who is going to take in Joe although boarding school might be fine as long as his Uncle visits and calls and emails. If he is just going to stick him school and walk away then there must be a better solution.

Ron Townsend I think you might be safer if you hope back on that bus now because the wrath of Brian and Justin will be too much for you to ever handle. Or he and Joan can form a club oh wait that's where your going ooooooooh now I get it. Joan was just biding her time waiting for John and Peter's daddy to show up. Sneaky you have had his hiding for a while and then you took a 2 month break just to spring this on us.

As a bonus for being patient (hiding head. never patient here) can we get another chapter or 2 this month because you know I need to see how fast Ron runs to Joan.

Author's Response:

Sorry to make you wait so long for an update but happy to know you enjoyed this chapter.  John & Peter are very good to Gus who loves spending time with his "big boy" cousins.  Justin had no problem letting Lindsay know who was in charge of the murals.  He is determined to give Gus & JR what they want.  Joe's Uncle doesn't seem to have a lot of interest in spending time with his nephew.  He wants to do his "duty" but doesn't want to give up his career.  We'll have to see how things work out for Joe.  On the surface it doesn't seem like Joan & Ron have much in common except they both want to "rescue" John & Peter from the preverted clutches of Brian & Justin.  Who knows what those two will get up to.

My "2 month break" involved bad cold, new job, selling my house and moving.  I wasn't on a tropical island sipping fruity cocktails.  Now that RL has settled down I expect to update more frequently.  Thanks for being so loyal about reviewing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

That is an understatment.  I don't see it happening.  Thanks for the review!!!  Bill

I started reading this a week ago, but never get the chance to finish the chapter.  Laying under the covers myself, thinking about your story. I had to scroll way back to find it. But I'm happy ... What a lovely chapter. Thanks.

* hugs and goodnight *

Author's Response:

Hi Marian, so happy to know you enjoyed the last chapter.  I am working on the next installment but RL is keeping me very busy right now.  Hugs back to you!!  Bill

Really like this whole story and love your writing style.  ( enjoyed sickness & health too!)  Hope next update isn't too far away.  Very new to the whole QAF US fandom ( Less than 1 year) But well into it!

Usually only read completed stories, as have found myself starting to read & got disapointed when found WIP's or months between updates.  So as I like your stuff, thought a review might help!!

Keep up the good work,

Deb (in UK )

Ok know it's mean, but please make Saint joan come a cropper some time soon & Mikey & Lindsay too!

Author's Response:

Hi Deb, really happy to kmow you are enjoying my long saga.  I apologize for my delayed update but RL has occupied me a lot lately.  I have a bad cold, started a new job and sold my house so I am busy packing and arranging things for the move!  I'm sure you don't really care but want you to know I am committed to the story and working on the next chapter as much as I can.  Lots of ideas so the saga will continue.  I am feeling kind of soft hearted about Linds but Saint Joan & Mikey don't have a lot of good stuff coming their way.  Thank you so muck for your review!!!!!!!!!!!  I LOVE to hear from the readers and welcome suggestions, even if I don't always comply with the suggestions.  Hope you continue to enjoy the story and look forward to hearing from you again in the future!!  Bill

Sweet Baboo, your being naughty, I would never desert you, you stories bring me so much pleasure.I was reading the''Whisper are as loud as a Shout'' I noticed you were also reading and reviewing, I kind of got hung up reading about mikey being a dumb ass and of course Linz lost of reality. It took me forever to read and respond, your chapters move so quickly and it's easy to keep up with new added characters like Joe, I really enjoy how Gus told his daddies to give him less presents at Christmas and to help Joe as he didn't have a home or much to eat or anyone to care about him. Gus has so much insight and so sweet. I thought Joe's thank you note to Gus showed. what kind of person Joe really is. As much as I liked MissMerlot's story all the foreign language slowed the story down I'm used to you being really articulate and paceing your story along .Your Sally is going nowhere.

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, I was just concerned when I didn't hear from you as soon as you usually review.  I have been kind of busy and haven't been able to keep up with reading Miss Merlot's story.  I do look forward to your comments and appreciate all your support for this long saga of mine.   Gus is a sweet little boy.  I think he gets his care for other people from his Daddy,  Thanks as always my Darling Sally for you kind review!!!!

I remain your sweet Baboo.

Thanks for this heartwarming addition to your story! I'm celebrating my birthday with a combo of beta-ing, writing, and reading - and this hit the spot for reading. I'm still grinning at the magical powers of Justin's stomach. :D

Good to see the Petersons get their just desserts - small wonder that Lindsay had to struggle to overcome such an upbringing.

I sense good things ahead for Joe, with some help from Debbie, Gus, Brian, and Justin. What a gutsy kid! He deserves to have his life take a turn for the better. <3

Author's Response:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Glad I could contribute to your enjoyment of the day and hope for many more happy birthdays for you.  It is really neat that Justin's stomach has the ability to restore electricity.  Jennifer did her best to make the Petersons uncomforable and seems to have been sucessful.  I think Joe's story will have a happy ending.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Hi my Sweet Baboo, chapter was wonderful. I would have loved to have seen Brian doing snow angels,it's like the trains for the first time, because of Justin and Gus he gets to be a little boy , things we didn't get a chance to do when he was little. I'm glad Gus can talk with his papa about a bully and how his parents told him that Gus's cousins were going to an orphanage. I can see how upset  and worried Gus would be.As for the Petersons are as delusonal as mikey and Linz. Can't wait for the twins! Your Loving Sally

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, so happy to hear from you.  I was a little worried you had abandoned the story when I didn't see your review.  Happy to know you have not deserted me.  I think you are correct, Brian enjoys being a little boy with Gus.  Most of the time it is more adult activities he enjoys with Justin.  Gus feels secure enjoy with his Daddy & Papa to share any concerns he has which is a great thing.  The Petersons are loathsome and should try very hard to avoid running into Jennifer in the future.  Glad you are still enjoying this saga.  Always happy to heard from you!!!!  your sweet Baboo

This was a really entertaining chapter.  I was chuckling over Justin and his "boyscout" instructions.  How cute that Gus feels so safe with his two Dads.  Loved the way Justin took charge during the power outage.  He and Brian make a great team and are doing such a great job raising the boys.

Author's Response:

Happy to know you enjoyed the latest chapter.  Kind of ironic that Justin couldn't be involved with the boy scouts in real life.  Gus can always depend on his Dads to be there when he needs them.  I agree that B&J make a great team.  Thanks for taking time to review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

so glad to see an update on this story.  I imagine you've had a few outages in your time; the description of preparedness are quite good.  Loved that everyone slept togheter on the main floor.

Author's Response:

Glade you are still wnjoying this saga.  It is wind storm here in the Pacific Northwest that causes our power outages.  The worst was 4 days long, the fun was over by the third day.  Thanks for the review, I love to get them!!!  Bill

I did a happy dance to see this update.  I just love the way Jennifer acted towards the Petersons.  Molly is just like her mom, tells it like it is  I am happy Joe finally confided in Deb.  Now that Brian is working on it, I am sure things will turn out great.  I just love this family you created.

Dee Dee

Author's Response:

Hi Dee Dee, Jennifer is fierce and Molly has learned at her knee.  Joe picked a good person to trust.  Debbie will make sure no one takes advantage of him and she has Brian's money to back her up.  Thanks for the nice comments; I am happy to know you are enjoying this saga!  I love to hear from the readers so I did a happy dance when I saw your review!!!!!!  Hope you continue to enjoy the story  Bill

This was excellent! I loved reading about the preparations for the snow storm and all that happened related to the storm. Justin's preparations were in keeping with his PSA persona. Glad to see that Jennifer was in top form in her take down of Nancy and Ron. And, the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Molly dispatched Ron quite handily. I'm very interested to see what happens with Joe and I'm glad that he decided to trust Debbie and that Brian has the investigation going. It was nice of Joe to write a note to Gus. Enjoyed Gus all through this story. He is adorable. And, of course, all the B&J moments. Thanks and looking forward to the next update.

Author's Response:

You are correct Justin, AKA Mr PSA, had everything organized for the loss of electricity.  It turned out to be a fun adventure for everyone instead of a problem.  Jennifer takes no prisoners when she she is dealing with people who cause problems.  I love her!!!  Molly is learning from the best.  Joe seems like a nice kid who has had some bad luck.  Debbie is going to be looking out for his best interests.  Glad you are enjoying this saga.  Thank you so much for the review, I LOVE reviews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Another wonderful glimpse into the lives of our favorite family. I love the addition of Joe. Looking forward to getting to know more about his past.

Great chapter! Keep them coming - I could read this story all day long :)

Author's Response:

Hi Tiffany, thanks for taking time to leave a review.  I love to hear from the readers!!!  Joe doesn't realize yet how lucky he is to have Debbie looking out for him.  I am really happy to know you are enjoying the story, hope you continue to enjoy it.  Bill

It was nice that Gus felt he could ask his dads anything.  And they always answered honestly.  It looks like Jen's talk with Maria and Earl are going to cost the Petersons.  It was nice of Joe to write a thank you to Gus.  Better is his trusting Deb.  Hopefully Brian's detective will be able to help Joe.  Lights out turned into fun for the Kinney Clan.  Great chapter.

Author's Response:

Hello my friend, I never really feel like an update is complete until I read your comments.  You have been such a great support for this story from the beginning and I appreciate it.  Gus loves his Daddy & Papa and feels safe in confiding in them.  Joe picked a good person to trust, Debbie will look out for him. Always happy to know you are still enjoying this saga.  Thanks, as always, for your review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Bill

Checks the calendar....yup, it's Wednesday. what a hump day treat! YAY!!

Another feel good chapter. It's like a balm to the soul. I loved how gus felt so comfortable talking to his dads. His questions about what happened with Claire were totally plausible, just sad that it came out the way it did. He has such trust in B&J that he's content with the explanation and won't bring it up again, especially knowing it could possibly upset his cousins.

HAe I said often enough that I love Jenn in this. hehe. she always has the boy's back. That little confrontation at the restaurant was actually pretty funny. Could totally see it in my mind's eye. Ron and Nancy never seem to do themselves any favours do they. Now they up teh creek without a paddle as far as selling their house is concerned. *insert evil chuckle* Add to that their more than likely limited circle of friends may just be getting even smaller.

And Joe. considering all he's gone through, he seems to be a fine young boy. Hopefully between the help that Deb and Brian will provide, never mind the others, I think we may just find Joe becoming a welcome addition to another strong family. Brian and Justin definitely have their hands full, but I wonder if they'll be taking on another? Maybe even Deb perhaps? Whoever it may be, I'm sure he'll find himself safe and secure in the near future and that his past, while it may need to be dealt with, won't come back to hurt him.

Lovely family time during the blackout. Made a possibly scary situation for Gus, a fun and cozy time for them all. thank goodness for Justin's preparedness.

As always, a joy to read. All the finite details just add to it. I kind of felt like beingsnuggled up with a comfy blanket as I read this. Sadly I'm sitting at my desk at the office, but I can at least pretend right?

Thank you for this!!

Cheers,

Elaine

Author's Response:

I am very impressed to get a non Monday review!!!  You always have such nice things to say about the story, your reviews are like a balm to my soul.  It is great that Gus has so much faith in his fathers and he doesn't internalize his problems.  I do really love my Jennifer so I'm glad that you do also.  She might have been unhappy to see the Petersons but they were much more unhappy to see her!!  Anything unpleasant that happen to Ron & Nancy is a good thing.  RE: Joe, you might just be doing a little mind reading.  I thought the blackout turned into a fun time.  They kind of are fun, as long as tey don't last too long.  Once a windstorm knocked out my electric for four days and I can assure you the fun faded by the second day!!!!!!!  Thank you for being such a faithful reviewer!!  Reviews are what keeps me writing this saga.  Bill

Heartwarming chapter, this felt so good! Even without electricity, the family stick together and they have their backs. And Tino has stepped forward - I feel so sorry for his desperation. He just needs a surrogate family!

While January 20th was a nightmare-came-true-day, this might be a chapter  a lot of Americans need: Unity, solidarity, fairness and love. Sorry for relating to political issues, we germans are all just devastated.

It´s nice to connect with decent people across the ocean! Thank you so much
!!!!!

Author's Response:

Hello Julia, so nice to hear from you; it has been a while.  If the current election results made you post these comments, at least something good came out of it.  We don't want to be too political here but I will just say I live on the west coast and this is NOT a pro Trump area.  I feel your devastation.  Hopefully there are enough decent people in Congress to keep too much bad from happening.  Glad you enjoyed this chapter and I feel things will be OK with this country and the world.  Bill

Yeah finally a new chapter. Did I tell you I reread the earlier story and this one while waiting for more.  I like that Gus feels safe enough to tell his fathers what is happening at school because he knows they will help him understand why people say what they do. Allowing Gus just enough information to move past what was said without scaring him. I like that Joe finally confided in Deb I hope that brings him something good like a safe place to live. You know this my favorite kind of chapter just Brian and Justin living their lives even with the snow storm and the power outage the normal every day stuff of being a family. I can't wait until the babies are added to the mix it will make it even more exciting. By the way why don't Brian and Justin have a generator I think they may need one especially with babies coming.

Author's Response:

I have to get better about updating, sorry to make you wait so long.  I am always very impressed, and extremely flattered, to hear that anyone rereads this long saga.  Gus knows his fathers will always look out for him.  It is good that he tells them what is bothering him and doesn't keep it inside and fret about things.  I think things just might work out for Joe.  I did think of you when I was writing the last part of this chapter and think you would enjoy B&J and the boys just hanging out together.  I thought about them having a generator but I thought a fireplace adventure was more fun.  Thanks for the review, I always appreciate your support!!  Bill

Hi, Bill!  Playing catch up as usual, but you know I never miss an update to your story!  This was a lovely Christmas, and, as always, I love the details in your story. It really helps me imagine it in my mind's eye. :)

I was really hungry by the time I got done reading this, too - ha!  Michael's attitude continues to be one of an impetulant child; sometimes I think he's younger than his own daughter!  Sheesh.

As always, I'll be looking forward to your next part, and where you take this. Thanks for the update!  ~Kim

Hi Sweet Baboo, I have no idea where "Lucy" came from! All the best women's magazines assured me that the first to go were the boobs would touch my toes, then when I would get up one morning I would hear a thud-my butt hitting the floor, then watch out for falling cheeks to become ugly jowls, I thought fleeing thoughts were a bit farther down on the list--now my magazines are being mean and lie to me, I will always be your loving SALLY.

Happy New Year! My Sweet Baboo: I've missed your writing, but know you were busy like all of us. Hope you had a nice Christmas. This chaper was wonderful from the trains to the party I doubt Brian ever had a train and was as giddy as Gus about the wonderful set-up. I was also happy Claire had remembered the boys with a present and a nice letter. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselfs except the "doom and gloom" boy. mikey is jealous of even a child-he needs a few less invites until he can act like a grown up in a company setting. Kevin was adorable and Brian and Justin made everyone feel welcome to their home.Ted and Blake and Viola fit in so well, and Mark finds out how a family works. I don't think Brian even paid that much attention to the dumb ass(mikey) he had the family and friends and co workers in their home and gave his son a wonderful time, now we wait for the babies to appear and of course everyone is excited, except mikey who justs sees less time with Brian and  as always that's Justin's fault. You did good and as always worth waiting for. Your Lucy

Author's Response:

Lucy????  How incestuous of you.  Is this something different for the new Year!  I prefer you as my Darling Sally!!!!  RL has been busy for me, even without the holidays, but I am sorry to make you wait for this chapter.  I agree that I think Brian enjoyed the trains as much as his Sonny Boy.  Gus's delight just added to Brian enjoyment of the trains.  Poor Mikey is stuck in his teens with a Brian crush he can't seem to shake.  The best we can say is we can rely on him to act badly.  Everyone enjoyed the party, especially Gus with his assistant train engineers.  Brian has had plenty of practice at ignoring Mikey's actions.  I remain Sally's sweet Baboo

Reviewer: DavidR (Signed) · Date: January 08, 2017 05:44 PM · On: Chapter 24

     Thanks for the chapter.

Michael is in deep trouble.  I don’t think anything short of

therapy can help him.  Nice to see some good things about Claire.

So she is beginning to take some responsibility for her actions.

Then again what she did was terrible, not just a few minor

mistakes.

The family has surrounded John and Peter with love and

support that they needed.  I don’t know where Claire fits in.  Sady,

the story of Claire and her embroidery shows us that Joan not just

misguided, but a mean Joan S. O. B.  Basically, she is simply

unforgivable.

Christmas was great.  There was so many people who were

happy to be where they were, with people they truly liked.  That

came through to us readers.  It was one of those feel good

chapters, and I did feel good reading it.  So thanks!

    DavidR

Author's Response:

Hello my freind, hope you had nice holidays and best wishes for the new year!!  Happy to know that you enjoyed the latest chapter.  I think it would take really intense therapy to help Mikey see the world more realistically.  It appears Claire is starting to realize she has made some significant mistake in her life.  Joan is a nasty piece of work, some people should NOT become parents.  Thanks for all your support, I always look forward to your comments!!!!!!   Bill

Thanks for the update on everyone's lives! I know you'll always come through with an update when RL permits. :)

It's so very heartwarming to see the strong family ties for the Christmas holiday, both in the immediate Taylor-Kinney family and the extended family (into which I'm pretty much lumping everyone).

I wouldn't mind playing with that train set myself - under Gus' supervision, of course.

That Christmas feast sounds scrumptious. I'd be digesting until the new year!

I guess Michael's good for comic relief, with the way he follows Brian around. Some people never get a clue. LOL

~Karynn

Author's Response:

Hi Karyann, Happy you enjoyed the latest chapter, sorry it took so long to post the update but RL can be a distraction.  I don't think anyone has a chnace to get near the trains unless Gus is at his mothers' house.  I like to think of Mikey as unchanging, someone we can always depend on to do the wrong thing.  Thanks for the review!!!!!   Bill

Happy new year to you!!  I didn't think HH would last this lng and a have at least a couple more chapters to go.  After that there is a call for a quick story on the Disney Trip.  So it may be a while before I get to use your beautiful banner.  That story will start when the babies are ready to arrive.  A some loose ends to tie up before that.  Always nice to hear from you.  Thanks for reviewing!!!  Bill

So happy to see this new chapter! As always, I loved all the details you include. It was nice to see Nina and Viola's Christmas with Ted and Blake. Ted is such a good father--his realization that Nina was a little overwhelmed shows that. The contrast between Mark's family and the Kinney-Taylor household reminded me that happy homes don't always just happen. A lot of it has to do with attitude and commitment. Loved seeing one of my very favorite characters again--Kevin!--and Brian's tender moment with him. Gus was pretty adorable, too, what with his excitement and enthusiasm for the new train room. I'm sure everyone thought Michael looked pathetic trailing around after Brian. How does Ben stand it? Had to chuckle to hear that Jennifer is at the top of Joan's hate list. Interesting to hear, too, that Claire has a talent for embroidery. Of course, no surprise that her parents were so dismissive of that talent. I am looking forward to the next installment. Thanks for this one!

Author's Response:

Sorry to make you wait so long for this chapter.  Glad that you enjoyed it.  I thnk Ted, Blake, Nina & Viola make a nice little family group.  Teddy Man takes his job of looking after Nina VERY seriously.  There are lots of screwed up families out there, many of them thinking they are doing OK.  I think Mark's parents think their family is fine, at least there are no homosexuals.  We can always count on Mikey!!   I love Kevin also and am so pleased that so many readers enjoy Gus & Kevin interacting.  Jennifer worked pretty hard to get to the top of Joan's list and I believe she is proud to be there,  Thanks for taking time to review!!!!!!!  Bill

This is the perfect end of the holiday season...an update to Holiday Happenings.  I hope the season brought you much joy and love. I also hope that the coming year does the same. All the best to you in 2017!!

The party kind of reminded me of those that I grew up with. Sounds a bit ponpous I know, but between my parents and my Godmother, (we alternated every year) it was all pretty similar, except without the driver service. Now that would've been a brilliant idea back then. :)

Showing the true Christmas spirit here with the idea for Claire to embroider and make some $$. Would be nice if this is the initial olive branch and that in time, some of the major woulds could begin to heal. Not sure they ever will completely, but even a bit would be nice. I hope she's sincere in her motives and understands the need for time. That was a really touching part. Even Brian was slightly open.

Despite the incredible generosity of everyone and the abundant haul everyone brought in, it's obvious that none of the kids come across as spoiled. They are all incredibly grateful and appreciative. While they were thrilled with all their gifts, it seemed they were just as thrilled, if not more so by the sense of family and togetherness that was abundant throughout.

Lovely catch up with Ted, Blake et al. Nina's reaction to Christmas was so sweet and genuine. I could imagine that it would be quite overwhelming. So happy that she and viola have this opportunity now.

Michael is still an ass. I mean really...suck it up buttercup. Glad nobody succumbed to his little tantrums. And why wouldn't he take the available transit? Was he hoping for an overnight invite or something? Just silly. He's just a petulant little boy really. shame that he seems to feel there's a need to compete for JR's or even Brian's affections. Following him around like a little puppy. Like I said, he's just a silly boy.

What a wonderful chapter and so well worth the wait!! I felt heart warmed and smiled reading it all.

thank you for this! I have to admit, I've been waiting for the notice I received of the update, but I figured that it would be after the holidays. It's a lovely gift from you to all of us. A thrill to receive.

Cheers and once again, all the best to you in the New Year. I hope 2017 brings you all that you hope for.

Author's Response:

I had to double check with my new Echo to make sure of the day of the week.  It really is Wednesday!  Hope you had a wonderful 2017!!  My parents also had some large parties over the years but none invovled caterers.  My mother and her sisters usually made the food.  Hopefully Claire will take Jennifer's offer to help her make some money and do something worthwhile.  Claire finally seems to be taking some responsibility for her actions which is more than we can say for good old Joanie.  I envision John & Peter occasionally pinching themselves to be sure their aren't dreaming.  They have had huge positive changes in their life.

I love Ted & Blake and their delight with Nina.  Viola knew what she was doing to pick them to take care of her granddaughter.  They take care of her as well.  Mikey is very dependable, he is always an idiot.  I'm sure he can't understand why JR and Brian love Justin.  All Mikey sees is a twink who took his best friend and is trying to steal his daughter's affection.

I apologize for the long wait and am thrilled you think it was worth the wait.  I hope we all have a great year, it will be an interesting one with some of the changes in the USA.  Thanks, as always, for your support.  You know I love to read reviews!!!!!!!  Bill

Wow, what a wonderful Christmas.  Looks like Claire might just have come upon a carreer that will make her feel worthwhile.  Everything went well, except for Michael who kept following Brian around.  You write some of the best and rewarding chapters.

Author's Response:

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas as well!!  I guess it is about time that something positive happened to Claire.  Hopefully she accepts the opportuntiy Jennifer is offering her.  My friend, you wrote some of the best and rewarding reviews and I appreciate you a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Thanks,  Bill

My dog Miki follows me around the way Michael followed Brian but he is a dog. Wow Claire has a skill I never would have guessed. The fact her mother discouraged it not surprised at all. Sounds like everyone made out well for Xmas. Why does JR's love for Justin amuse me and oh boy will she be jealous of those babies, I don't see Gus having an issue he knows he is loved. Molly's boyfriends family is weird and why do I have this odd concern niggling me about the boyfriends brother. I missed this enough I reread the first part. I can't wait for the next part with the babies. I also hope we don't have to wait a month for another chapter. I can't wait for the Disney trip.

Author's Response:

Must have something to do with the name.  Claire has made a bunch of bad decisions in life but her parents set her up for failure.  Sadly she never overcame her grim start in life.  Was a good Chrstmas for lots of folks.  I think you may be correct about JR and the new babies, she s unhappy enough competeing with Gus for Brian & Justin's attention.  Molly boyfrend's family is very wierd.  I have more concerns about Mark than his brother.  I plan on more regular updates, a New Year's resolution.  Thanks for your support and best wishes for 2017!!  Bill

i love this fanfic, but its starting to get a bit  annoying with Justin and Brian spending so much money on other people.  Maybe its because I've witnessed it in my own life, but ive always found that when people are too generous it fucks with their relationships with others.  Maybe im just nit picking, but I still love this

Author's Response:

They have been spending a lot of money but my excuse is that it is Christmas and a time to be extravagant.  Most of what they spent was on the kids.  I appreciate the feedback and I think you are correct in too much genorosity can damage relationships.  I will keep that in mind but it is fun to think about having enough money to pretty much do whatever you want.  Thanks for taking time to review and I will keep your comments in mind!!!!  Bill

Sweet Baboo! I forgot about Craig, the gifts that he sent were well chosen but is there a hiden agenda. The boys were surprised but I'm worried about Justin getting his hopes up only to played again. I hope their holiday party with the family coming to Britin goes well surely mikey can keep his mouth shut for a few hours.

Author's Response:

A double review!!!  Thanks Sally!!  Brian is going to be very cautious about Craig and do his best to make sure Justin is not hurt.  Justin has good memories of Craig but all Brian's interactions with Craig were bad.  I think if Craig hurts Justin Brian and Jennifer may band together to kill or hurt him badly.  I wouldn't count on Mikey being either silent or sensible!!  Thanks Darling Sally for all your support.  I am thankful for you!!!!  your sweet Baboo

My Sweet Baboo, It's turkey time in two days. For once when I say turkey I don't mean mikey! Hope you and yours have a beautiful Thanksgiving. I was surprised Joan would tell someone in her church about Brian being gay. No one in these days really care, the  people have so many problems. We just went thru an awful election. police being killed for no good reaso, it seems everyone is looking for someone or something to hate That is so sad. Joan is trying to understand how people take gay lifestyle for granted. I'm glad John and Peter enjoyed their Christmas. I knew Brian and Justin made sure the entire family had a nice Christmas--as usual mikey feels sighted, he's never happy for anyone he was jealous JR caused she's going to Disney World--of course he had to act like a two year old. Great update to wonderful story, Love, your Sally

Author's Response:

Hello my Darling Sally, always happy to hear from you.  We certainly don't want a day when we celebrate MIkey!!!  I imiagin most people in the nrighborhood know that Brian is gay.  There were also news reporst about the attempted kidnapping of Justin so Joan might not talk about it but lots of other folks do!  This has been a tough year with some much division and violence.  I agree that some people just want to hate and to be offended by other people.  I knew a wman who had a gay daughter that she completely cut out of her life because she was gay so sadly there are people like Joan out there.  Hopefully there are less than there used to be!  Mikey never thinks he needs to work for anything, he wants things given to him.  John & Peter never had a Christmas like this one before.  Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.  I have no blood releatives here so I will be with my adopted family.  Made my homemade applesauce and some candied sweet potatoes as my part of the feast!  your sweet Baboo

That was an interesting way to start a chapter.  Thelma

summarized Brian and Justin’s kindness very well.  Too bad, Joan

doesn’t see that.  She can’t see past B&J’s lifestyle to see what

wonderful people they are.

I was happy to see Justin hug Tucker and say nice things to him.

Tucker has been a real good guy, and a nice addition to the

family.  Looks like Justin finally realizes that.  I was happy to read

about it.

I simply don’t know where Craig fits in.  To me he doesn’t and I

would rather he just go away.  I understand that Justin

remembers some of the good in Craig.  But Brian (and me) don’t.

I would have liked to see something about Claire.

In this Chapter, I am glad JR was not there.  This is Gus’s family.

And oh yes, the train set will give Brian and Gus much wonderful

Daddy and Sonny Boy time.

That was a terrific chapter.  Lots and lots of good holiday spirit.

DavidR

Author's Response:

Joan is determined to never accept Brian's lifestyle.  It doesn't matter what anyone says to her.  When she is alone there is no one to disappoint her.  I think Justin knows that Tucker is good for his mother but he has a hard time accepting it.  You are correct about Brian he wants nothing to do with Craig and is concerned about Craig hurting Justin again.  We'll have to wait and see who is correct, you & Brian or Justin.  I actually meant to have something about Claire in the last chapter and forgot - bad author!  We'll hear about her in the next chapter.  I think you are right about the trains!!!  Thanks for the review, you know I always look forward to your comments.!!!  Bill

Haooy Monday my friend! Sorry to hear your friend has been unwell. Hopefully she's well on her way to recovery now.

As for joan...she really is her own worst enemy. I doubt she'll evr gt her head on straight about Brian and his family no matter who says what to her. She's too set in her ways. Shame really, but she brought it all upon herself.

What a beautiful Christmas at Britin! the gifts we lovely for all of them, but the atmosphere, the togetherness was magical! Peter and John most assuredly had their best Christmas ever. I know they've never experienced anything like that before.

Criag's gifts were a surprise. Is he making legitimate overtures towards our boys? I'm so distrusting of him that I'm always looking for any kind of deviousness, but I'm not seeing anything accept a real attempt. Perhaps there's hope yet. Thankfully he's not as stuck in his ways as Joan.

Had to chuckle over Jenny and her attitude. Justin's interaction with her and his little jab at Mel was well placed. quite funny really.

Gus's heart is amazing for such a little boy. So giving and such generosity. Thinking of Joe like he did. Making sure that B&J could take back some of his gifts the way he did. He could definitely teach a few lessons to some of the adults around them.

will be interested to see how the next days dinner goes with all the family at Britin.

A really really lovely and heartwarming chapter.

Cheers,

Elaine

Hello my Monday friend, thanks for the good thoughts, my sick friend is doing much better.  I believe Joan prefers to be alone, no one else measures up to her standards.  Brian is going to be very hard to convince that Craig is sincere.  Justin was correct when he said he has god memories of Craig and Brian has nothing but bad memeories of Craig.  Justin is pretty open about his diapproval of Mel's parenting.  Happy to know you enjoyed this chapter.  I always look forward to reading your comments, thanks for never disappointing me!!!!  Cheers back to you.  Bill

Author's Response:

Glad you enjoyed the latest update.  I'm not sure Joan really has any "friends"??  She is stubborn & prejudiced & unhappy and seems to be resolved to stay that way.  At least everyone at the Taylor-Kinney home had a great holiday.  Always good to hear from you!!!   Bill

Sorry to hear about your friend and I hope things get better soon. Loved this chapter and enjoyed reading all about everyone's gifts, the holiday meals, etc. Given recent events, this is a nice place to retreat. Will Brian give in on Craig for Justin's sake? Maybe forgive, but not forget? When someone is as monumentally wrong as Craig was, it takes a really generous soul to give another chance. Some people refuse to change. Joan is a good illustration. She needs to read that part of the Bible that says "Judge not..." Her homophobia and refusal to see beyond it is what prevents her from becoming part of the family. Then again, maybe she likes being alone. Perhaps, JR will find out that her sass will come back to haunt her. Perhaps she will be left out of certain fun events. What a mouth. Maybe she will learn that no one wants to be around that. Isn't behavior like that learned because it is rewarded? I would make certain that it is not rewarded. I'll be interested to hear about Joe's Christmas and what else is going on with him. Thanks so much for continuing this story. It is great.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the kind thoughts.  My friend is on the way to recovery but it will take a while.  It is nice to escaoe from RL for a while.  I hope the story trumped any upsetting news you moght have been reading about.  A lot of suspence about the future.  I think Brian is going to be very cautious about Craig.  He will never forget but if it makes Justin happy to have Craig back in his life Brian will support him.  Joan is unchanging but hopefully the history of unhappiness will end with her.  Brian has found his happiness and not the nephews are having the life they deserve.  Poor JR she will have a hard time if she doesn't get some understanding and good parenting.  The nly thing for sure is that Uncle Bri & Uncle Jus will NOT put up with any nonesense from her.  I think JR was lucky Mel came into the room.  She may have gotten quite a talking to from Uncle Jus  and if Uncle Bri heard her disrepecting his Sunshine she would be really sorry!  We will hear more about Joe and his life.  I am so glad to know you are enjoying my saga.  I love to hear from the readers so thank you very much for the review!!  The readers and thier comments are what keep me writing the story!!!  Bill

Ugh, Joan is her own worst enemy. I'm so glad Brian and Justin have plenty of loving family members to offset that narrow-minded woman.

Love how both Justin and Brian surprised each other with their gifts. Those two men may have to find a time when they can 'christen' Justin's new SUV, lol.

I'm with Brian about trusting Craig; it's difficult to believe he's sincere.

So fun the way Brian and Gus play with the train set. One is never too old for that kind of fun. 😊

Bill, I hope your friend is doing much better. Friends and family always come first! No question that I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter - but only when RL permits.

Karynn

Author's Response:

I think Joan feels that she is her own best friend.  No one else is up to her standards.  B&J know how to please each other and I agree that SUV will need to be "christened".  I think Brian is going to be watching to be sure Craig has no opportunity to hurt Justin again.  Between Brian & Jennifer Craig should be very afraid if he is trying to scam them.  My friend is doing much better but still has a way to go before she is able to come home.  Thanks for the good thoughts!!!  Bill

It's such a pleasure to watch Gus grow up in this story. d84;a039; Brian and Justin working together to ensure Gus has a happy childhood makes it especially poignant.

I forgot mention in my review of the last chapter how heartwarming it is that Gus wants to help Joe. The latest lost boy will have to concede to Debbie soon. There's no escaping, Joe, so just be thankful. 😊

ROTFL over Gus taking after Justin with being a chatterbox. Brian had really better watch out if Gus starts spouting PSAs. 😉

Ugh, Melanie and Lindsay's parenting skills are definitely lacking. I hope Mel actually thinks about what Justin told her.

Watch out Disney World! LOL

Thanks for yet another delightful chapter.

Karynn

Author's Response:

Gus is a happy little guy and enjoys the male bonding at B&J's house.  I agree Joe has no chance against Debbie.  She will know his sotry soon.  If the new babies take after their father Brian may have to buy earplugs.  I think Mel has a little trouble not letting her resentment of Brian effect her feelings for Gus.  Justin will be watching what happens there for sure.  Thanks for the multiple reviews!!!!  Love to read them!!  Bill

What a tremendous feel-good chapter! <3

I love how Debbie, Justin, and Brian work together to rescue another 'lost boy'. Joe may be starting to realize that the diner is a safe place and that his options aren't as limited as he thought.

LMAO! over Justin calling Brian cute and Brian's reaction. At least he didn't queen out - kept his best interests in mind. LOL And Brian and John's lack of enthusiasm over watching the Nutcracker every ear - hilarious. :D

I'm hoping to catch up on your story today. RL has been pretty rotten, but stories like this help me cope. :)

Karynn

Author's Response:

Looks like you are doing some catch up on your reading.  Joe is lucky to have fallen in with so many big hearted people.  Gus was the catalyst that got the ball rolling.  Joe is fortunate that some of those big hearted people also have big wallets!  Brian Kinney really doesn't want anyone to think of him as CUTE.  He will setrle for nothing less than HOT.  I understand rough RL, hope you can escape for a while!!!  Thanks for the review!!!!  Bill

I just found this story again and read everything over again.  It took three days, lol.  I'm glad you are still updating it, at whatever pace you want.  I can't wait to meet the babies and learn if they will be little blonde and blue eyed angels.

Are you actually going to write Brian in Disney World?  I don't think I have EVER read that before!  No matter how 'domesticated' he has become, a pack of over excited kids in an over packed theme park is bound to test his ability to keep his calm and pg 13 vocab under control.  LOL. A LOT of time outs and quite one on one time will be needed with only his Sunshine to keep him balanced.

I've never explored the park from a rich person's perspective and unlimited access to all amenities.  I wonder if you can have provate guides to take the kids around the park?

Anyway, I'm just glad you are still writing and look forward to where your muse takes us.  :)

Author's Response:

I am always amazed and flattered when a reader tells me they have re-read the entire saga.  I am so fortunate to have such loyal readers & reviewers, that is what keeps the story going.  Several people have asked for a Brian in Disney Story.  That was not my plan but I think it might be fun to have a quick story about that trip.  Brian will be torn between wanting to avoid everything Disney and wanting to see Gus experience the Magic Kingdom for the first time.  Thank you for your very kind comments and fort aking time to post a review.  I do love hearing from the readers!!!!!!  Bill

Hi, Bill! First of all, I hope your friend is doing better now.  That is the most important priority by far, and I for one will wait patiently until which time you are able to update. :)

Now for this chapter. Some observations.  I almost pity Joan; no, I guess I do, although she has brought a lot of what she has wrought upon herself.  She will die, I believe, a lonely and bitter woman. The holidays should hopefully be a time of forgiveness and understanding, which are two words that will probably never escape her lips.  Thank God Brian has emerged from his childhood a scarred man, but one who has triumphed and overcome his parents' treatment of him.  He has become a loving partner and father, and someone to admire.

A little surprised by Craig's gesture, but hopefully it is sincere, and perhaps one day even he will change, unlike Joan.  BTW, I always wrack my brain to think of whether or not Justin called his father "Craig" later in the show, but I can't for the life of me remember. Did he?

JR is becoming more and more not only like her mother, but her father as well, sadly.  I hope she can learn from Gus as a role model, and change her ways, or I fear what she will be as a teenager!  Maybe one day you will write about them as older kids. (hint, hint).

As always, I love the detail in your chapters.  From the preparations for Christmas dinner, to the surprise gift for Justin, to the love clearly shown between the family members.

Thanks again for a wonderful chapter! Always enjoy reading your updates.  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi Kim, my friend is in rehab and is doing better.  Thanks for asking.  I think Joan would be unhappy to think anyone pities her.  No one meets her standards of behavior so she is happy to have no one around.  Brian has been able to overcome a lot from his early life.  His life is different from anything he expected but I believe he is blissfully happy.

I think Craig realizes all he has lost because of his homophobia.  He really lost his entire family because of his attitude.  Now they are all happy together and he is alone.  Justin may be ready to give him another chance but Brian will be much more suspicious of Craig's motives.  I can't remember for sure but I think Justin called him Craig in the show.  I thought about watching some chapter "On Demand" but actually I don't remember Justin talking about his father much at all, after he left home.  Even Jennifer played a pretty minor role in the show.  She has a much bigger role in my story.

JR has an unfortunate gene pool to draw from.  I like to think Gus is like Brian would have been if he had loving parents.  I think JR is kind of lucky Mama showed up.  I think Uncle Jus was getting ready to really let JR have it for her behavior.  Instead he let Mel know that he still wasn't a fan of her parenting.

Thanks for the nice comments.  I learned a lot from reading so many stories from my favorite author.  I think you can guess who that is.  Always enjoy reading reviews so thanks for being so loyal about poting them!!!!!!  Bill

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: November 19, 2016 02:57 PM · On: Chapter 23

I'm afraid I cannot find it in my heart to pity Joan.  She is so narrowminded and selfish that in spite of being invited some place for Christmas she would prefer to be along.  Meanwhile her only son and his family are enjoying the Holiday season.  John and Peter are so well behaved that when being banished to their rooms, they do not complain or try to find out what's in their gifts.  In fact they prepare Christmas Breakfast.  They have a wonderful meal which features a Christmas coffee cake made by Molly!  Then for the surprises.  Justin gets a new SUV with plenty of room for the new babies.  There are lots of presents to go around.  Jennifer is going to need a lockbox for her new jewelry.  Craig even sent gifts and I must admit to being surprised by his attitude.  Unlike Joan he's welling to change.  Then there is lunch with Gus.  Having Jennifer and her crew over means that John and Peter are not left out.  Gus could, by all rights, be a spoilt little boy and isn't.  JR is behaving like a spoilt princess with telling Justin he can't tell her what to do.  Wonder who she got that from?  Everyone is spending the day with people that care about them.  And a good time was had by all, except for Joan who wouldn't know a good time if it bit her.  Everyone getting together at Britin on the 26th ought to make for another fabulous chapter.  Thank you and Merry Christmas!!!

Author's Response:

Hellp my friend, I don't think Joan wants anyone to pity her.  She prefers her own company to anyone else's.  I think Justin knows that the threat of Grandmom Jen's displeasure keeps everyone in the house on their best behavior.  Brian and the boys don't want Grandmom Jen angry with them.  I am sure Brian would deny that but I think it is true.  The Taylor-Kinney household has had an outstanding Christmas so far.  I imagine Jennifer is delighted to spend time with all her boys & Molly.  I believe Craig is realizing what he gave up and hoping maybe he can be a part of Justin's life.  He doesn't even know he could be a grandfather soon.  Brian is NOT going to welcome Craig too easily.  He will want to pretect his Sunshine from any more heartache.  With her parents genes floating around inside her we can expect JR to be whiney & determined.  So far she has not disappointed.  Hope you have a great Thanksgiving, I suspect we will have some more review conversation before Christmas.  Thanks for the review, you know I do really love to get them!!!!   Bill

Thelma shouldn't feel bad for Joan. It's the life she chooses to live.
Christmas at the Kinney's is full of surprises. The car, the train room, the gifts or olive branch from Craig, and Briangracefully accepting Jen's mothering ways without a fuss.
Great chapter.
Hope your friend is doing well.

Author's Response:

You are correct, Joan best skill is pushing people away.  They did have a very Merry Christmas.  I think Brian would die rather than admit it but he enjoys Jen mothering him.  He knows she genuinely cares for him.  My friend had flesh eating bacteria but they got it quickly and she is doing better.  Glad you enjoyed the chapter.  Thanks for the review!!  Bill

Finally presents. I like that Jennifer cried over the jewelry even though I knew she would. I loved Justin's present in the garage and how Brian got him to go see it.i would have liked more thoughts from John and Peter the on their gifts because this probably the first time someone bought them presents that were obviously for them like the kindle for Peter and the Cooking School for John. Jenny acting like a brat to Justin did not surprise me, the fact that she got a punishment was only because there were outside witnesses. I get the feeling she is not usually punished Gus is. I loved how much Gus loved his presents and the fact that he was willing to give some up because his Daddy's helped someone. Those trains are going to be where Justin find Brian and Gus for months to come. Craig's presents not sure how he could afford them but at least they were not generic he put some thought in them. Last and maybe least Joan she can't even be nice to someone driving her to church no wonder no one is with her for the Holidays. I was hoping for 3 chapters again this month I understand why there isn't so can there be at least 3 if not 4 in December while you wrap this one up in preparation for the next story with the babies. Happy Thanksgiving.

Author's Response:

I think most grandmothers abd mothers feel obliged to cry over special gifts.  Jenifer will make quite a sensation in the real estate office when she wears her new jewels for the first time.  Christmas isn't over yet so we may hear more from the nephews.  I just realized I didn't reveal Claire'a gifts to them, bad author!!!  My mistake will beacome Justin's in the next chapter.  With her gene pool JR is going to need a firm hand.  Gus is a happy little guy.  He was probably pretty sure his Daddies wouldn't tkae back any gifts but it was nice he offered.  You are probably correct that a lot of time is going to be spent in the train room.  Craig's business is doing better, due to the consultant Sunshine associates insisted on made some recommendations.  His expeneses ate down also since he moved out his condo with the big monthly fee.  I believe he is realizing what he is missing out on. I don't Joan really knows how to be nice, she hasn't experience a lot of niceness in her life.

Mr friend I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.  I am thankful to have such a faithful reviewer!!  Bill

Very good! Love that Debbie did blankets for the babies.

Author's Response:

Happy you enjoyed this chapter.  Debbie really does love B&J.  Thanks for revewiing!!!!!   Bill

Thanks for the chapter.  It was interesting in that it had just

about everything.

First, Debbie should put that bat away.  Given her physical

condition she is not one to win a fight.  Plus just suppose Rico or

pal pulled out a gun, Justin did something stupid and got shot.  In

short Debbie needs to control her temper before someone gets

hurt.

I found the conversation between Melanie and Justin kind of

disturbing.  There it was, Mel’s jealousy of Brian and Justin and

their wealth.  I had thought we were finished with that.   Alice is

not used as a baby sitter for Gus, and Gus should not be used as a

baby sitter for JR.  I think Justin missed the moment and should

have been stronger that how much money Brian and Justin have

is non of her business and that she was way out of line.  His reply

was muddled.  We heard the same lines said by a few of the

characters.  I had it with that.

We are still seeing Michael become more and more irrelevant.

No one seems to care.  I have to wonder, as another ready wrote,

how much more Ben will take before he gets rid of him.

Thanks again for the chapter. I enjoyed the chapter.

Author's Response:

Hello my friend, Debbie goes with her gut reaction and doesn't always think things through.  I think Nico is mostly a bully looking for confused kids that he can take advabtage of.  I hope Mel got some food for thought.  Brian and Justin just wanted to be sure she understood they were questioning her parenting choices.  Mikey needs to start lookng at the big picture and not just how thing affect him.  He should have been delighted his daughter got a trip to Disney but instead his first thought is that he doesn't get to go to Disney also.  He needs to find a job and not worry about taking trips or he is going to be minus one husband & home.  Happy to know you enjoyed the chapter.  I always appreciate your reviews because you always make me think about what I have written and look at things from a different angle!!!!!!  Bill

Really enjoyed this chapter, Bill! Michael continues to be a whiny, immature, ungrateful man. I'm beginning to think that at partly due to his behavior, JR is going to wind up being a brat. Michael needs.to grow up. Wondering what the boys got from their mom.

Ben's likely to get fed up with his husband's lack of gratitude,  and I wouldn't blame him.

Looking forward to your next chapter.  Thanks!  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Thanks Kim, always nice to hear from you and know you are still enjoying this saga.  Mikey being jealous of his daughter's Christmas gift is majorly immature!  Mikey better get a job soon or Ben will be giving him the boot.  You know how great it is to get reviews for a story so thanks much for this review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Even at Christmas Mikey can't see the positive side of things, and how thoughtful Brian and Justin are. He just sees that he didn't get what he wanted, and he what feels he's entitled too... Great update! Hugs ~ Kathleen

I am so far behind in my reading but I always look forward to an update from you. I love it when Justin takes Michael down - Michael should realize by now that Justin is way smarter than he is and he should just shut up - although it's always fun when he's put in his place. Looking forward to more background on Joe. Brian is right about leaving a 7 year old in charge. I would have told Gus off for hitting but I would also have told JR off for touching - definitely favouritism going on and you can't do that with kids. Looking forward to more.

Author's Response:

So good to hear from you.  Happy to know you are still enjoying the story.  Mikey isn't very good at looking at things sensibly. We will learn more about Joe soon.  You are correct both Gus & JR needed to be corrected for their behavior and it is not a good idea to leave Gus in charge of JR.  Mel has a lot on her plate but she needs to ask for help.  Thanks for the review, you know I love to get them!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

My Sweet Baboo, Really nice update. I'm interested what the PI finds out about Nico, wonder if they find info on Joe? As usual mikey isn't satisfied with his present from  Brian and Justin, that guy is never happy about anything, he problemly doesn't know what cashmire is since he still looks like he dresses like Big Q customer! Couldn't belive that Mel was punishing Gus and on Christmas Eve--Miss JR needs to listen to what Gus says or face her mothers ire not Gus. then to threaten the child that he could be stopped from being with Brian on Christmas real classie Mel. People should stop underestatmenting --Justin where Gus and Brian are concerned the man is pure fire when their treated unfairly. Loye you, your Sally

Author's Response:

Hello my darling Sally, I think the PI is going to just warn Nico to stay away from Joe and Debbie.  I suspect Joe may share some of his life story with Debbie.  Mikey is rarely satisfied and always feels like a victim.  Not happy his daughter gets a trip to Disney but upset he doesn't get the same trip.  Brian could have saved himself some money and bought Mikey's sweater at the Big Q except I don't think Brian would ever buy anything at the Big Q.  JR's mommys need to learn not to push her off onto her 7 year old brother.  You are correct Justin will never let anyone hurt Gus or Brian.  Mel would be a fool to cross him!  Always so happy to see your comments!!!!  Thanks for the review!!!!!!  your sweet Baboo

Author's Response:

Happy to know you enjoyed the latest update.  Justin will never ler anyone hurt Brian or Gus if he can help it.  Melanie better understand she better not cross him.  You are the not the only one interested in gearing about the Dusney trip so I guess that will have to happen.  It was not my original paln to cover that trip.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

"Monday, Monday, so good to me

Monday mornin', it was all I hoped it would be"...Mammas & Pappas

that was my moring to day! thank you!

So Nico is still around huh and with a bit of muscle to help. Well, Hopfully between jstin Deb and now Brian and the PI, that shit will get dealt with, without anyone getting hurt. Still a bit concerned for Deb with that situation. I think Joe is wisening up adn realizes that Nico is bad news and better yet, he actually has options. Some of them have really teken him under their wing and will look out for him. He'll catch on to that soon enough I think. Hopefully he's not it any danger from Nico either. He's fond of Gus (who wouldn't be) and I think he'll be a key figure in getting Jo to uderstand the family dynamics. :)

Michael is certainly infuencing Jenny's behavior. Mind you Mel isn't doing any better either. Between those 2, Jenny has the chance to turn in to a heinous little thing especially as a teen. At least she truly understand her limits with Justin and Brian. those 2 will be her saving grace from turning into a spoled little brat!

you know...Mel at one point seemed to undertand that gus shouldn't be left in charge of Jenny. That back then, she ws depending on him too much to look after her for short periods of time. Lindsey I don't think is quite up to standing strong yet. I think in all honesty, a bit of Prozak migh do Mel some good. ;)

Strange that gus would smack JR's hand. that's a typical parent move to do that. He learned that from somewhere....And the fact that Mel is threatening to keep Gus from the boys on Christmas day...I want to throttle her. I really thought she was coming around. That she was grateful to Justin and Brian for all they had done, but she really seems to be reverting back and Lindsey seemed to be unaware of the threat Mel posed to Gus. Justin and Brian won't put up with Mel screwing with them when it comes to Gus. The fact that she seems to think she could "intimidate" Justin was laughable!! She's just so resentful and for no good reason.

All in all a nice christmas Eve dispite Mel and Michael's typical selfish behaviour. The trip to Disney World is going to be epic!! So much fun for them all!

Looking forward to the Christmas chapter!!

thanks!

Cheers,

Author's Response:

Hello my Monday Friend, so are you channeling Mama Cass or Michelle Phillips?  One the much better singer and the other much better looking.  I think Debbie is safe from Nico.  I view him as kind fo a bully.  He backed down from Justin even before the bat lady showed up.  Debbie with a baseball bat is taken from the show, a controversial episode.  Joe is slowly coming around but is still cautious.  I think JR already realizes not to pin her star to her Daddy.  She backed down when Unlce Jus exlained the way things were going to be!  I think Melanie has a lot on her plate but it is not fair to push too much onto Gus's plate he is a little boy.  I figured Gus had seem or experienced the hand slap over the years. I'm sure Mel did not have the best Christmas Eve ever but hopefully she will think about what Brian & Justin told her.  No way are B&J not picking up Gus and taking him to their house.  Thanks Elaine for being such a loyal reviewer, you know I love to get them and they keep me writing the story!!!!  Bill

So much happening in this chapter.  I worry that Nico might try to get back at Debbie.  Hopefully Joe takes the talking she gave him to heart.  It's hard to understand Michael's and Meanie, I mean Melanie's attitudes.  As Ben reminded Michael they don't pay child support, while Justin and Brian pay for JR's school tuition.  Melanie seems determined to favor her daughter over Gus.  If Gus goes to live full time with Brian and Justin, they could stop contributing to JR, not that they would.  You write the best chapters.

Author's Response:

Hello my friend, you are a faster reader and reviewer for this chapter.  Always glad to know you are still enjoying the story.  I think you are correct about Meanie playing favorites.  She got some good parenting advice and she better consider it.  Mikey is never happy not to be included in freebies.  Thanks for the "best chapters" I appreciate it!!  Thanks also for being such a great supporter of the story.  I appreciate all your reviews!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

I so enjoy these glimpses into the daily life of the Taylor Kinney family. d84;a039;

What a relief for the everyone, including Joan, that she's now able to take care of herself. She chooses not to grow and be loved, so I guess she's satisfied to be alone and lonely. It seems doubtful that Peter's Christmas wish for her will come true.

What a heartwarming chapter! Gus is such a loving little boy - just the way I think Brian would have been if he'd had loving parents. Brian has such a big heart, even if he doesn't like to be thanked for all his kindnesses toward others.

Can't wait to see Ted with the crown and cape. LOL

With the holidays approaching, this is the perfect time to catch up on this story - so glad I have a few more chapters to read. Thank you for continuing this delightful saga!

Author's Response:

I agree with you; I think if Brian had some love early in life she would be just like Gus.  Ted will be wearing that any time Nina requests it I'm sure.  When I started this story it was no where near the holiday but I have kind of caught up a little with RL.  Glad you are still enjoying the saga!  Thanks for taking time to review!!!!!!   Bill

3 chapters in a month what are the odds I can get you to keep to that schedule. I don't bake but I make a great lasagna or Mac and cheese, I like the idea of bribery....  Mel and Michael both looking for trouble and Brian and Justin are all to happy to serve it up. My parents knew better than to let me watch my sisters we fought constantly, I think I was 14 or 15 before I watched them alone and even them they bribed us to behave with money.  I hope at some point you write about the Disney trip and I can't wait to see what else Brian and Justin got John and Peter. I am also curious what Claire sent. Yes I caught the blue and pink blankets even though you have never mentioned the babies sexes in the story. I know I checked back meaning I reread about a dozen chapters. I still think the presents I most want to know about is Brian and Justin give to each other.. I can't wait for their Christmas more soon please.

Author's Response:

3 chapters for your birthday month!!!  Hope you had a happy birthday.  I had a friend over for lunch on Friday and made mac & cheese.  My m&c is VERY popular among my friends.  I try not to make it too often beacuse it has too many calories.  Mel got a double dose of parenting advice and hopefully she will pay attention to it.  My brothers were too much older than me for us to fight too much.  My oldest brother was in charge when my parents weren't home.  I remember telling him once, when he tried to tell me what to do, that he wasn't the little Daddy now because Mom was at home.  I think I might have been a little spoiled???  After a couple more chapters here I plan to start my next story whch begins when the babies are born.  I think maybe I will do a one shot about the Disney Trip before the next longer story.  I actually thought I had revealed the babies's sexes but now everyone knows!  Chrsitmas presents will be revealed in the next chapter.  Thanks for the review, my review numbers are down so I really appreciate my faithful reviewers like you.  Bill

That was another very interesting chapter.  To me it was about who is missing rather than what happened.  Jen’s new/old tradition of taking the family to see the Nutcracker, where was JR?  These people in a way belong to Gus and there was no need to share that day.  This was his day.  Was there a happier child than Gus?  Nope.  I have said it before and notice there really wasn’t any room for Craig.  The tradition happily continues without him.

One more missing person though, and there are more.  Where is Michael?  Who cares?  Debbie, and Brian though Debbie, need to reach to out to  him. He is becoming irrelevant.  Similar to Craig, where does Michael fit except being Debbie’s son?  Sadly, he is not missed.

Thanks for the Chapter, lots of love and joy, and holiday spirit.

DavidR

Author's Response:

Glad to see your review, I was worried about you.  You are always so loyal about commenting.  JR really doesn't have much relationship with Jennifer.  Her mommys and Mother Taylor are not on the best of terms.  For sure no ne is missing Craig but I think maybe Craig is missing them.  Michale will rear his head soon.  He will be at the Christmas Eve gathering at Debbie & Carl's house.  Glad to know you enjoyed this chpater and I alway enjoy hearing from you!!!  Thanks!!!!  Bill

OOPS! My Sweet Baboo: Talking about the ballet I totally forgot about Nico, the little shit, how dare he threaten Debbie! She is quiet meddlesom within the family, she does  a lot of good. With PFLAG, feeding some who can't order anything but coffee , and mostly just listening to people who have no one to care. Hopefully Joe knows bad news when he sees it. Back to Brian for a minute, Deb calls him an asshole, Em has called him a queen, some lowlife have called him a faggot, mikey calls him selfish and cheap, an even uncaring and he doesn't say a word he just acts proud, but let Justin called cute or Jen call him sweetheart he blushes and doesn't like it when he called these names, go figure?  Your Loving Sally

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, the only thing better than one review is a double review, YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I think Nico is an ant that will get tread on soon, no one has anyone to worry about from him .  Debbie always looks out for the underdog.  I don't believe Brian ever wants anyone to think he is cute but you are correct Brian has an issue with praise.  I think it is because he never got any praise when he was younger.  Thanks for the double review!!!!!!!!  your sweet Baboo

You did good my Sweet Baboo! I was amazed Brian went to the ballet with the others. I was happy Justin told the boys about the ballet and then repeated the story at bedtime for Gus so everyone would understand the story. Of course Brian made fun at home but quickly changed his behavior. He was happy Gus enjoyed himself and Brian treated everyone to a wonderful meal and made the outing so special. If Gus could get his daddy to wear the awful t-shirt on the fourth of July he certainly could get him to go to the ballet. It was wonderful for Jen I think she missed this for a number of years. It wouldn't surprise me if next year for her other grandson Kevin might want to go with Gus, after all daddy would have to stay with the babies but no doubt papa would be with them. I know Brian is stressed out about Joan, but Justin knows how to reach him. Good story. Love ya.Sally.

Author's Response:

My Darling Sally, always so happy to see your review.  Brian has warned others not to get on Mother Taylor's bad side so he certainly isn't going to take a chance on doing that himself.  If there is a chnace of making his Sunshine and Mother Tyalor angry he is not going there!!  You are correct Gus can make his Daddy do things that no one else can.  Brian & Justin made it a nice night for everyone with dinner at a great restaurant.  Jennifer was thrilled to restart this traditional with her recently expanded family.  The babies will change a lot of things, Christmas included.  Justin is always there for Brian.  Thanks as always for the review!!!!  your sweet Baboo

It is great to see another chapter of this story--one of my favorites! How dare Nico threaten Debbie!! What a sleazy creep. He had better reconsider, as there would be hell to pay from all kinds of folks, including B&J. Debbie gave Joe good counsel...I hope he will think it over and then allow Debbie to help him. I'll be interested to see how that relationship develops and what involvement Joe may end up having with the Kinney-Taylor household. Poor Brian had to go to the doghouse because of his thoughtless comment about the ballet. He's just lucky that Jennifer wasn't the one to hear it. Justin was benevolent in the end and let Brian out pretty quickly. Loved all the parts with Gus and the cousins. And, of course, all the affectionate B&J moments. Will be looking forward to whatever you have in store for us next. Thank you!

Author's Response:

Thanks for letting me know my story is one of your favortites.  You should consider joining Midnight Whispers and then you could officially make it a favorite.  There are no emails or other annoying things for the members.  I agree that Nico is sleazy creep!!  I think you are correct that Nico will be sorry that he threatened Debbie.  We will learn more about Joe.  Brian is lucky that Mother Taylor didn't hear his commenst she might not have left him off as easily as Justin did.  I think Justin telling Brian he was "cute" was probably punishment enough.  Gus does love spending time with those big boy cousins.  I believe B&J will always find time for "affectionate moments".  Thanks for taking time to review as you probably know I do love to get reviews!!!!!!!!!   Bill

Happy Monday!!

The family is one that many dream about having. Justin having Gus make the wrapping paper is just such a Justin thing to do. Him comforting Brian in the wake of Joan. Justin puts it into perspective for him. Joan is alone. Brian is surrounded by friends and family who love and support him. Such strength between those 2. They nurture each other and are able to watch each other grow in different ways. Eve nif it means putting each other in their place. hehe. justin sure did with Brian re: the ballet. So good to see! I think it's nice for Jen to restart the tradition. She has an entire new family and a new generation to influence. Even if Ballet is theri thing, it's more a matter of being together. for her to bring something from her old life that she enjoyed, into her new life. While Brian adn Joh may not be as enthusiastic, they'll learn to appreciate what Jenn is doing I'm sure.

Good on Deb for stepping up to Nico. He's definitely someone that worries me. wonder if he bit off more than he can chew when he threatened Deb. I hope Joe took what Deb said to heart and stays away!! I really hope Nico stays away. I don't like teh idea of him doing anything to Deb. Or to Joe.

Lovely lovely chapter! You know what a fan I am of this! I have to say, I was so excited to get this and every update.

Have a good week!!

Cheers,

Elaine

Author's Response:

Hi Elaine,  I wanted to get this chapter posted so it was there for you to read on Monday!!!  Gus loves doing art projects with his Papa so custom wrapping paper is a prefect activity.  You are right Justin was busy comforting Brian, putting him in his place and annoying him a little by saying he is "cute".  I don't think cute is anything Brian ever aspired to be.  Everyone may not like the ballet but they do all love Grandmom Jen so if she wants to go to the ballet I think they will go without too much struggle.

I think Debbie van handle Nico on her own but something tells me she won't have to.  I think Nico will get the mesage to not mess with Debbie.  Thanks for all the nice comments.  You know what a fan I am of reviews so thanks for always being so faithful about posting one.  We have a perfect relationship where we are both happy!!!!  Cheers back to you!!!!!   Bill

Justin had a lot to do this chapter telling Brian a shitty mother is not his fault. Making sure All the boys know the Nutcracker story so they understand what they are seeing in the ballet. And reminding Brian that he loves him because he is cute. I loved that line.not sure I like Deb advertising Brian and Justin's wealth I think Nico would have more Veda on with just the reminder of what happen to Tino. You know I love chapters that are mostly the boys so this was great. Looks like maybe I could get 3 chapters in my birthday month. Thanks for that....

Author's Response:

Hellp my friend, Happy Birthday Month!!!!  Justin was busy reassurng Brian in this chapter.  Although I don't think Brian felt reassured by being decribed as cute!  I don't think Deb was giving away any secrets about Brian & Justin's net worth.  I think it is pretty common knowledge on Liberty Avenue.  Glad you enjoyed this chapter, wouldn't want to disappoint you during your birthday month.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!  Bill

Sweet Baboo, There must be something really wrong with me, as hateful as she is I still feel for Joan. Craig will be alone for Christmas as he was for Thanksgiving his careing is too little to late. After hearing the story Joan told Peter I felt there was a little regret that she followed in her mother's footsteps.Gus will be with his mothers on Christmas Eve, I was hoping since the boys were raised Catholic and I'm sure Joan has missed daily mass, that Brian and Justin would take the boys and their grandmother to midnight mass, it seems like Brian would do this for the boys and the midnight mass is so beautiful I think even Brians offer her this service as a gift to the boys but deep down he still cares for her in his way. Christmas is a time for renewal. I realize he'll probaby never forgive her but she feels the lost of her daughter and her grandsons even Brian knows a little jester on his part would help her being so alone. Like I said my head is most likely missing some gray matter.Your crazy Sally

Author's Response:

my darling, deluded Sally, I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope for midnight Mass this Christmas Eve, maybe in the future.  You need to revealuate your sad feelings for Joan.  She has had a bunch of opportunities to start to become part of her son's life and rebuffs each opportunity.  She has had a sad life but seems to want that sadness and lonliness to continue.  Sorry we disagree on the topic of Joan.  Other than your sympathy for Joan I am always happy to read your comments.  Thanks for being such a faithful reviewer.  your sweet Baboo

My Sweet Baboo, I'm really sorry to respond to the last two updates so late. I have been reading a wonderful story that beckons me everytime. The writing is tops and the story draws you in, it is written by a talented man you may have heard of (tongue in cheek and a Brian like smirk)PABoi. I was reading again and on chapter 80 when I decided to continue, then I start over with HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS from the beginning to refresh my memory. In chapter 19 Gus was such a cutie, his concern for others is so like his daddy and papa. While mikey is so selfish when it comes to JR, his mother and Carl and Ben. His concern for Ben is unbelelivable he figures wait long enough and Ben will forget about the rules he's trying to make mikey grow up, he does nothing for anyone and is critical of people who do. I'm interested in the new guy Joe. Deb should take him in, and pack up everything in mikey's room--the Capt. Astro bedspread the wall paper should go--she needs to paint get a new bed and rid the room of all child like mikey presents, make sure mikey know to get his stuff picked up and he no longer has a room there, he is married and needs to be with Ben it's Joe's room now. He needs a place to live, he needs regular meals, and a job, but mainly he needs someone who cares. Your loving Sally

Author's Response:

My darling Sally, always happy to hear from you whenever you post reviews!!!  You have been busy reading!!!!  One of these days maybe I will re-read all 100 chapters of the "wonderful story".  Mikey is unchnaging and unthinking, I think it is nice that there are some thing that we can always count on.  I don't think Ben is going to forget about Mikey getting a job and starting to pay back the money he used for back rent.  I'm pretty sure we will hear more about Joe in future chapters.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!  your sweet Baboo

YO!! It's MONDAY!!!!!!!! :) Guess who?? ;)

I find it facinating how you are able to go from one extreme to another in your characterizations. I mean, you have the great family dynamics between B&J along with Gus, Jennifer, Alice, Charlie, John and Peter, (and friends) then you have the opposite end of the spectrum with Joan, Ron, Nancy, etc. You do justice to all the characters beautifully, whether it be in a positive or a negative way. You make us want to totally embrace the good, yet equally want to kick the asses of the others.

It kind of felt like watching a Christmas movie in this chapter. A mix between a hallmark family smooshie movie and Scrooge. LOL. Gus's heart...oh, mine just swells at this young boy. He's truly a product of Brian and Justin. who says biology has to be the biggest part. Nope. Peter and John are also examples of this. Seeing the difference between when they first arrived to now is amazing. (mind you, their negativity didn't last very long) both of they standing up to Joan they way they did, showing affection towards her, yet still telling her how ungrateful she is. Peter was right, she's so blind to them being gay, that she can't see anything else. Like the adage, can't see the forest for the trees. Peter almost made me weep with his wish for Joan. Glad she's gone finally. While there might not be much interaction with her, she's like a cloud overhead. A constant reminder of negativity. It always boggles me when I come across people like that. The right wing "christians" who take teh bible vertbatim. I know....I've said this before, but really....how can people call them selves Christian, when it's so blatantly obvious that they don't live a Christian life? That they seem to prefer the rigidity of the the Old testament over the love anacceptance in the New, yet it's out of god sense of love and acceptance that we even HAVE a New Testament. *sigh*...people astound me sometimes.

Nice touch at the end, where the boys come in and hug Brian. Seeing Joan's negativity forst hand on a daily basis, definitely makes them appreciate Brian and Justin so much more. Not for what they can give the boys in a material way, but the love and support they receive.

Lovely chapter once again.

Cheers,

Elaine

Author's Response:

Hello my Monday Buddy. always so happy to see your review!!  Your comments are always so kind and so good fro my ego, thank you for that!!!!!!  I love Gus in this story and I agree he is a product of his Daddies who are always there to support him and reassure him.  I sometimes think I should have made John & Peter more troublesome at the begiining of their stay but I think they realized life was SO MUCH BETTER with the uncles after a year living with drug addicts that they fell in line quickly.  Joan is a cold hearted bitch, no way around that fact.  To Joan Brian & Justin are gay so they are bad people no matter what they do.  Peter made a nice wish for his grandmother but I don't think that wish is coming true anytime soon.  I am so with you regardng the old testament "christians".  The world would be so much better if people didn't judge each other.  There is an old song "What the world needs now is love"  and boy that is truer now more than ever!!!!!!!

I'm not sure Brian thought those hugs were "nice"  In some ways I think he is more comfortable with Joan's indifference.  Elaine, my friend, thanks you for all your support for this saga.  I really appreciate all your reviews!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

It was a fun and happy chapter until we got to Joan.  I had no

idea which way things would go with her.  But you know, as Peter

said, her going home to be alone is probably what she wanted.

Well she got her wish.  It is sad, and just before Christmas.  A

small piece of me hoped that with the holidays, and having Peter

and John around, she would become more accepting of Brian and

Justin.  Oh well!

A word of warning.  In his own way, Michael’s situation is becoming similar to Joan.  He has said enough awful things that

who except for Debbie cares about him.  That is sad.

How about a good word for Claire?  Let me throw a little guilt

and maybe since it is Christmas, how about a visit by her sons or

maybe some gifts?  Just a suggestion.

Anyway, thanks for the chapter I enjoyed it.

Oh yes, Brian and the tinsel was very funny.  I had to mention

that.

DavidR

Author's Response:

I don't thnk Joan is sad.  I think she prefers to be alone with her bible and lament how the world is a bad place.  No one quite meets her standards so she avoids everyone.  I think Ben still has some feelings for Michael but he really needs to get a job and contribute to their household.  I believe Debbie may try and help the job hunt, anything to keep him out of her happy home with Carl.  Wonder who she will ask about giving Mikey a job???????  You are correct Claire should get some Christmas gifts from her sons, that is only right.  No visit until she owns up to her responsibility for what John & Peter went through in that last year they lived with her.  She has never apologized to them or to Brian & Justin for the kidnapping attempt.  Happy to know you enjoyed this chapter.  Borderline OCD Brian is the perfect person to place that tinsel one strand at a time.  Always look forward to your comments, you always give me food for thought.  Thanks for the review, everyone know how much I love to get reviews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Godd to know that John and Peter recognize how ungrateful and angry Joan is.  Glad that they see how good Brian and Justin are.

Author's Response:

I think John & Peter have a long history with Joan and have no illusions about her character,  Especially in the young hope springs eternal.  So far there seems to be no hope for Joan.  John & Peter are wellaware of how good their life is with the uncles.  Happy to know you are still enjoying the story.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Sorry this is a little late.  I spent a week at Disney and while I had a chance to read this there I couldn't remember my password to leave a comment.  It was so nice for Gus to come home and see all the decorations.  I enjoyed the hiking vs walking talk and it looks as though hiking won.  Charlie is so smart to come up with a plastic sheet under Gus chair when he had his favorite meal of spaggetti and meatballs.  The decorating of the tree was another great time had by all.  Gus is also so sweet to worry about Joe. Justin and Gus going shopping made a perfect time for John and Peter to say goodbye to Joan.  She had a lot of nerve saying that Brian was self-rightous as that is a perfect description of herself.  John let her have it though and though Peter was nicer about it he admitted that he agreed with John.  So Alice and Cassie ended up taking Joanie home.  As Alice so eliquently but it "Goodbye and good riddance.  Loving this and looking forward to yet another chapter.

Author's Response:

Hope you had fun at Disney. Never too late for a review!!!  I don't think Brian actually cares about walk vs hike, he just doesn't like his Sonny Boy taking Tucker's side of the discussion.  When my niece and nephew were young we always put a plastic table cloth under their chairs if we ate in the dining room.  Makes a meal much less stresful.  Joan sees things her way and she thinks she is always correct when most of the time she is on the wrong side of things.  She will be happy alone in her hosue with no one to argue with her point of view.  My friend, thanks as always fr your review.  I never feel a chapter is complete until I read your comments!!!!   Bill

I can just see a neurotic Brian hanging each piece of tinsel uniformly spaced on the tree. I think Justin's excitement has Brian letting go of his childhood disappointments about Christmas. Later Hon ~ Kathleen

Brian does have that touch of OCD, a perfect tinsel hanger.  I think Justin and Gus are both reponsible for Brian's cautious enjoyment of Christmas.  Thanks for the review.  Hugs,  Bill

My favorite kind of chapter the 5 boys getting ready for the Holidays. Brian got his holiday wish Joan is gone. Love how Jennifer handled Ron. I think all 3 of those boys are going to have a great Holiday and I can't wait until there are 5 kids in that house. Sorry for the short review but I am happy to see another chapter and I cant wait for more Especially since I am very curious what Brian got for Justin.

Glad you enjoyed the first October update.  Joan has returned to her single blessedness.  Lots of extravagent gifts will be exchanged.  Thanks for the review!!!!!   Bill

I don't mind the wait when we get such a long and wonderful chapter. I love all the little details that you give us. It is a hallmark of your writing. I really think it is what makes me feel like I could just read this story all day. It is comforting. Highlights for me in this chapter: of course, all the affectionate B&J moments, Brian's listing of all the good things that had happened during the year, the oatmeal, brown sugar, and raisins and Alice supplying Brian with a spoon, Brian shopping for princess stuff, Brian's evil thoughts of Ted and Blake in their royal garments, the story of Joe and how Gus wanted to help, I'm hoping we learn more of Joe's backstory and what happens next with him. I hate to think of him on his own at such a young age. And, the fact that someone physically hurt him. Good for Debbie regarding her determination to get Michael to grow up. Hope she stays the course. As always, thanks for this chapter of your terrific story.

Author's Response:

Thanks for being so understandng about the long wait and for your very kind comments.  Happy to know you enjoyed this chapter. I do enjoy the little details so I am glad you do also.  Between Debbie and Gus I think we will learn more about Joe.  Debbie is going to try her best to let Michael fight his own battles but I don't think she can just go cold turkey.  I think there may be some back sliding.  Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review.  I LOVE to hear from the readers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Bill

What a fine chapter - so heartwarming. I hope Joe will find good ways to help himself, get a decent job...and a surrogate family. We will see!

The pre-christmas time throws so much hapiness around, even though the presents B&J are buying are some kind of....very american, and Deb´s decor ;))) Can´t wait to know about the presents John and Peter will get.

I hope you are well. My RL keeps me hyper busy. Thanks for every new chapter, I appreciate it.

Author's Response:

Julia, how nice to hear from you.  I'm happy to kmow you are still reading and enjoying the story.  I think we will hear more about Joe in the future.  "American" Christmas gifts is very interesting, I would be interested to know what other gifts would be.  I am going to have to do some internet research on Christmas gifts around the world.  That is something I never gave much thought to but am now interested in the differences.  B&J gifts are going to be very extravagent for many people.  I am doing great, thanks for taking some time to post a review!!!!!  Bill

Gus is so sweet - the boys have taught him well. I'm interested in reading more about Joe - sounds like he's going to be important to the family. Good to see that Debbie's going to let Michael take responsibility for his own mistakes - about time..... Looking forward to more.

Author's Response:

Gus is a sweet boy.  He is fortunate to have so much love in his life.  I think there will be more about Joe in upcoming chapters.  I don't think Debbie will be able to cut all the apron strings but she is trying.  Thanks for the review and for not telling me what a rat I am for making you wait so long for this update!!  Bill

Hi, Bill! Another delightful chapter. I LOVED the part with Gus and Joe, and how he showed such compassion for him. That was so sweet and touching, and perfectly fit in with the Christmas spirit.

I wonder if we will hear from Joe again?  As for Michael, ugh. He really needs to get his priorities straight, and get his act together. Not sure if that will happen or not, though.

As always, looking forward to your next part!  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi Kim, glad to know you enjoyed the latest chapter.  Sorry it was such a long wait.  That Gus has his priorities in order for sure.  Lucky for him there won't be any reduction in gifts.  B&J are going to be quite extravagent in their holiday gift giving.  I think Debbie has her eye on Joe so I'm pretty sure we will hear more about him.  Just what this story needs another character!  Mikey may be forced to grow up some there is no one left to rescue him from himself.  Thanks for all your support.  Hope you are doing okay.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Bill

Hi,

That was a real nice chapter.  There is no doubt about the

kindness and generosity of Brian and Justin.  As evidence, it was

the suggestion that for some in their emply, no Christmas bonus

was necessary as B&J have done enough during the year which

was more than enough.  For B&J, as the expression goes, it is

Christmas every day.  That is such a nice thing to say about them.

I laugh each time someone tries to say something nice to Brian,

such as a thank you, he runs for the hills, or rather his emails.

Joe?  Well I don’t know if that is a one-time mention in this story

or will we see him again.  He is now connected with Debbie.

Things are looking up for him, but he will have to do his part.

Michael?  That is a tough one.  It appears that Debbie and

maybe others will work with Michael and see if they can change

him.  Well – it may be too late.  Like the last chapter when Jen

told Craig, that basically there is no longer room for him, and he is

not missed, that same can soon be said about Michael.  If Craig

and Michael were to be written out of this story, would anyone

notice.  That is one sad comment.

Thanks for the chapter, it was beautifully done.

Author's Response:

Hi David, I was just worrying earlier to day that you may have given up on me after waiting so long for an update.  I was really happy to see your review!!  Both Brian and Justin are very interested in taking care of the people they love.  They have a charitable foundation to help people who need it.  Brian like to think that people don't know was a caring person he is so he avoids any mention of it whenever he can.  I have a feeling we will see more of Joe.  He is in Debbie's radar and it will be difficult for him to avoid her concern.  Mikey is MIkey, he is going to have to do some growing up, he has no choice.  I don't think Debbie will completely stop looking out for her baby boy but she knows she has to limit her help for Michael's sake.  I appreciate all your support!!!  Thanks for being such a faithful reviewer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Hello friend!! Oh I've been waiting so patiently for an update. HOpoe RL is treating you OK. It does tend to get in the way now and again.

Oh Deb. It's so hard as a parent to when to let go adn let your kid make mistakes. You want to protect hem, but by over doing it you end up with, well...Michael. LOL. she's finally realizing her part in it. I can't really blame her, as it's every parent's first instinct, especially as a single parent. You don't realizr the implications until it's too late. REally gald she sees it now though and will do her best to make him grow up and become the man he should've become years ago. (I'm not holding my breath mind you. ;) ) she has Carl by her side for support. He'll gently and lovingly keep her on teh right path. He also won't put up with Michael's crap.

I wish we could see pictures of Ted, blake and Nina in full costume! That would be a site! I have the feeling Brian will appreciate and enjoy that visual more than anyone else. Heck...He already is! I can fully imagine him snickering at the thought. Of course ted and Blake will dress up and play along with Nina. JR is going to absolutely love it too!

You always know when a child has been raised right, and Alice made sure that Brian knoew that it was his and Justin's influence on gus that had him have such a loving and giving heart. My goodness...tears were welling reading that part. It was perfectly done. I'm coming away from this with a light heart adn a big assed smile now. thank you!!

While Michael is always a disappointment to some degree....he's sinking further adn further to a level of utter disbelief. His ability to make excuses for things, for his behavior etc is astonishing. He fought for JR, yet now...hasn't a care about it. It's all about himself, not even seeing his own part in his downfall. You know when you pull the pug in teh bath, and you see that swirl going down the drain. almost like a tiny water spout. That's how I see his life at the moment. that's the visual I often get with regards to him. I guess time will only tell if he ever gets his shit together. Stop feeling sorry for himself. Like Isaid, I'm not holding my breath, but for every one;s sake, includinghis own, I can only hope.  (Just not too soon as his troubles are always fun to read about, What can I say...I'm bitchy with regards to him. lol)

AS always it's such a gift to receive an update to this absolutely incredible story.

Many many thanks for sharing your gift and talent with is.

cheers,

Elaine

Author's Response:

Hi Elaine, Sorry for the long wait for this chapter.  RL is good just had friends visiting me and did some visiting myself, all good stuff but took time from writing.  Debbie felt she always had to protect Michael but sadly that kept him from ever standing on his own.  Sadly now she is seeing the error of her ways.  Poor Linds & Mel have done nothing to impress Alice or Jennifer, they are both firmly on the side of Brian and Justin and always will be.  Mikey just deends on others to give JR a soeca Christmas and lucky for her Uncle Bri & Uncle Jus are there to make sure Santa doesn't disappoint her.  Mikey doing down the drain has a certain poetic ring to it.  I think he may pull himsefl together enough to get a job.  But where will that job be, that is the question????  I'm not seeing smooth sailing on the job front for Mikey.

I am happy to know that you still find this long saga interesting!!  I am always happy to read your reviews, thank you for never disappointing me!!!!   Bill

Happy I am to see a new chapter.  Sadly Deb is finally seeing what all her over protectiveness has caused.  Michael expects to be rescued from whatever trouble he gets himself into.  Brian on the other hand is a happy camper.  In spite of the troubles during the past year, he's contented with his lot.  That being Justin.  Justin has a bit day planned.  Talking Alice into accepting her bonus, stopping to get stocking stuffers for the younger set, getting JR and Nina's gifts.  Wish I could have a picture of the two girls in their finery and their dolls.  Brian picking up the rest of items for the little girls and finding a few things for Ted and Blake.  Too funny.  Everyone gets a bonus!  Then we come to Michael who isn't actively looking for a job and doesn't think HE needs to get JR more gifts.  Selfish much?  So much trouble to schedule time with Gus.  At least Deb is having her usual Christmas get together.   Last day of school and Brian and Justin along with John and Peter pick Gus up before going to the diner, which is decorated for Christmas much to Gus' delight.  I'm not surprised that they come upon a young boy in need of help, or that Gus is insistent that the boy not go hungry.  Great chapter every way you look at it.

Author's Response:

Hello my friend, I like the Yodaest start to your review.  When Deb looks at how she is treated by her other "boys" she can't help but see Michae;'s flaws.  Brian knows how much happier he is now than he was pre-Justin.  Justin got a lot done in a single day.  JR & Nina will go crazy over their princess dolls and matching dresses.  I think Nina will be happy to see King Teddy Man and Prince Daddy in their crowns & capes.  Brian learned from Justin that you get the kids on your side and you can get indulgent parents to do almost anything.  Michael depends on other people to take up the slack for him.  Luckily JR had people in her life looking out for her.  I am thinking Deb will not be able to resist helping Michael find a job.  Melanie knows she is playing in the major leagues when Jennifer comes up to bat.  Grandmom Jen hit a home room with the Christmas scheduling.  Debbie is ging to be proud showing off her new kitchen to everyone on Christmas Eve.  I think we may here more from Joe in future chapters.  Thanks, as always, for all your kind comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

I am not sure why we are always amazed when we hear someone has raised an amazing child. President Obama spoke about a letter he received from a 6 year old who spoke about taking in the little Syrian boy who was all over the news after a bomb went off near his home and he was injured he wanted to share his toys and teach him to ride his bike. I know Brian would say this is all Justin's doing but Gus sees that his Daddy doesn't fight it so he knows it's both of them. I can't wait to see what everyone gets for the holiday maybe most of all what Brian gets Justin. I do love this chapter was just the most important 5 with only a little Deb and Alice thrown in those are always my favorite chapters can't wait till it's 7 with the babies.  Just FYI I minded the long delay but here comes my October beg fest since it's my birthday month and while I would love to demand 4 new chapters I will happily settle for 3, 2 if they are extra long. Thanks for continuing to write this I still love it.

Author's Response:

I think children view the world in a simple way - things are good or bad, people are happy or sad.  As we get older we start analyzing, some of that is good but some clouds our view of the world.  I belive Gus sees all the good things that his Daddy does and also his Daddy is always there for Gus.  Glad you enjoyed this mostly family chapter.  Every once in a while I do feel the other characters need their turn but I do want the sotry to be centered around Brian & Justin.  September is my borthday month so I appreciate you not giving me too hard a time about the delay between updates.  I will try my best to comply with your October "requests".  Thanks for continuing to provide so much support for this long saga!!!!!!  I do LOVE to get reviews and you never disappoint me.  Bill

Finally made some time for a little reading and immediately opened your last update, which has been languishing on my virtual bookshelf for the last three weeks.

Can't say I feel much sympathy for either Joan or Craig. If they're a bit lonely with the holidays approaching, I feel like it serves them right since they both deliberately alienated themselves from their family.

I just love the way Justin helps Brian feel good about himself. Joan doesn't stand a chance against Justin, thankfully. The open and honest communication between Justin and Brian is such a pleasure to read. d84;a039;

I'm already looking forward to the next update! Thanks for continuing this terrific saga.

Do you ever think that Gus is a little boy with normal curiosity.  He sees Peter or John enter or leave the pool house and wonder what that is about.  He waits till he is alone, knocks on the door, and Joan comes face to face with her seven year old child. He is let's face it, her blood grandchild.  He wants to know who this women is and she just may look at this as a do over to be kind to the child she neglected.  Gus  is sweet kind and innocent.  He would be thrilled to have a new grandmother. {if she was nice to him}

Love Love Love these two stories.  You are wonderful.

I cannot admit how many times I have reread these stories.

Thanks for the update. Yum, Christmas cookies, damn it not even fall yet... Hugs ~ Kathleen

Author's Response:

My story timing is really off with real life.  Around Christams time it will probably be summer in the story.  I gues that is why it is called fiction.  Happy to know you are still reading and enjoying.  Hugs back,  Bill

My Sweet Baboo, I think my mind wanders! I forgot to mention mikey (gag). Deb has worked hard all her life, even with aids Uncle Vic worked hard so I don't understand mikey being such a lazy little turd! I think he belives Ben will forget about him getting a job-he says he has no skills and that is certainly the truth, but how much skill does it take to bus a table, work at a convience store. or simply ''do you want fries with that''. I loved Justin watching Brian playing with the train like a tiny boy so enthralled with train and all the sit up, knowing it was something he probably wanted all his childhood. The way you describe it we could just see his joy. Love you Sally

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, double review are an added thrill so I am happy for your wandering mind!!!  I think Deb has helped Mikey avoid growing up, she always tries to solve his problems.  I am thinking she might try anf help him find a job.  I wonder who she might ask to give Mikey a job???  Justin loves to see Brian forget about being strong and just have fun.  You are probably correct and a train platform is something Brian always wanted for himself.  Always happy to hear from you!!!!!  Love from your sweet Baboo.

Hi my sweet Baboo, I'm really thrown by Joan, sometimes I feel bad about her life she raised her children the way she was brought up. No love -no attention, I guess that's all she knew that would be bad enough but married an abusive drunk who didn't care about anyone, it was all about him, Then the next minute I want to take her Bible and hit her in the head, to get her attention. I loved Jen telling Craig about her Thanksgiving and all family and friends having a wonderful time, when Craig thought it was just queers (stupid man) I think Alice's grandchildren calling Brian uncle and all the kids calling Jen -grandmom Jen makes her day and telling Craig about Kevin and going to his school I was surprised Craig admiited to Jen the plan his advisor delivered to him is working and moving he can walk to work, joined a gym changeing his spending habits really was working for him at work and in his life.I was surprise he actually called Brian instead of Kinney. Joan and Craig are so sad I feel bad for them they have no one, not a relative or even a friend maybe the twins can help them to be come better people and share in the new blessings, your loving Sally.

Author's Response:

My darling Sally, always happy to see your review and know you are still reading and enjoying the story.  Joan has had a very unhappy life and she seems determined to try and make the people arounf her have unhappy lives.  I think Justin's "plans" for her may help her realize she needs to change her attitude.  We'll have to wait and see if she got the message.  Craig is lonely and startung to understad what a mistake he made with Justin.  Happy you picked up on Craig calling Brian by name insread of Kinney.  He wasn't completely comfortable doing that.  Jennifer really enjoyed letting Craig know how full her life is and how much she enjoys all the people Justin & Brian have introduced into the "family".

Craig and Joan are in some ways their own worst enemines.  Thanks for always being such a faithful reviewer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  your sweet Baboo

Terrific chapter, so much to comment on.

It is true, Craig has been left out.  More specifically, he is not needed and not wanted.  Biologically, he is Justin’s father, and soon to be a Grandfather.  Who needs him?  If he were to disappear, no one would care or think about him, except I guess on Father’s Day.

That was a terrific conversation between Joan and Justin.  I am still ‘smarting’ how dismissive she was about Justin in the previous chapter, referring to Justin as “his boy”.  I remember it well and haven’t forgiven her.  I believe that wasn’t the first time. I do not think that Justin would put her in a substandard Nursing Home.  But she will have to change her attitude or at least her tone when it comes to him.  Justin now has power to affect her life.  He really always did, but now she has been made fully aware of it.

That brings me to Michael.  It appears that no one is able to influence him.  He just lost what I thought was his dream, the comic book store.  Well it wasn’t much of a dream, it was too much work.  JR?  Well it seems he is doing less and less for her.  So with nothing to lose, why would he change?

At this point we can throw Craig and Michael overboard, and there is no loss.

Thanks again for the story, looks like Christmas is going to be terrific.  So many good and kind people.

The train set?  Looks like the two boys (Gus and Brian) are going to have a great time.

Author's Response:

Happy to know you enjoyed this chapter and always gald to read your comments!!  Jennifer was careful not to tell Craig about the twins.  She enjoyed letting him know how happy and fullfilled her life is without him.  She let him have the info right between the eyes and making sure he understood how much was due to Justin & Brian.  I don't think Justin would really do that either but I'm pretty sure Joan is so sure he wouldn't carry through on that plan.  Even Brian isn't 100% sure Justin wouldn't do it.  Mikey is Mikey, he prefers to avoid adult reposnibilities as often as possible.  Deb has kind of fed into that tenancy and made it worse.  I think she may "help" Mikey find a job.  Can you guess who she might ask to give Mikey a job??????  Hint:  It won't be Carig Taylor.

I have thought a lot about Christmas presents and have pretty much decided that the gifts will be extravagant.  I agree that Gus & Brian are really, really going to enjoy that train platform.  Thanks for the review, you know I LOVE to get them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Bill

Wow!  Lots of confrontation in this chapter.  I'm glad that Brian backed up Justin with Joan.  She is completely delisiounal if she thinks Brian would ever pick her over Justin.

Go Jen!!!!  Mama is protecting her cubs.  In my mind, there isn't any redemption for Craig.

Thanks for the update!!

Author's Response:

I think most of the time Joan is living in her own reality.  Anyone who thinks they can divide Brian & Justin is delusional.  Anyone who hurts Mother Taylor's boys should be away she will hunt you down and hurt you.  Happy to know you enjoyed this chapter.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Loved Justin's talk with Joan and Brian letting him know he would support his decision.  Why did Craig show up?  I wonder if Justin and Brian will even open the presents.  Please continue writing this wonderful universe even after the holiday season

Author's Response:

I don't think Joanloved that talk but it sure got her attention.  I think Craig is realizing what a mistake he made in rejecting his son.  This story has a couple more chapters to go.  The saga will continue with "To Have and To Hold".  That story will begin with the arrival of the twins.  I appreciate you nice comments about my story and thanks for the review!!!!!!!   Bill

As well he should...reap what you sow, Craig. You are lucky that B&J helped you get your life back. So Joan did put her Good Book aside and thought about what Peter said. Is it possible that she is thinking about changing her attitude? Don't cross Justin when it comes to Brian. I think Justin just might make good on his warning. Nice that Brian is getting to experience fun with trains. Who wouldn't want to join in the holiday celebrations when listening to Jennifer describe all the happenings? Wonder what action Joan will take next? Kind of afraid that she may be working on a way to retaliate against Justin. Thanks for this and can't wait for the next chapter. Hope you are still feeling well.

Author's Response:

I am feeling great, thanks!!!  Jennifer really let Craig know how full her life is and how she has so many people to love and who love her.  If those presents are not nice Craig better watch his back!!!  I suspect Joan got the message that actions have consequences.  She may try and improve her attitude before she winds up with Nurse Ratchit taking care of her.  I don't think Joan has a chnace against the team of B&J.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!!!   Bill

So much going on.  I hope Joanie tries to leave and they let her.  Then court proceedings can begin and Joanie will learn consequences.  The kids, and Brian, are going to enjoy that train set.  Craig may or may not be coming around, but I've got to admit he realizes that the changes he's had to make were for the best.  Another more than excellent chapter!!!

Author's Response:

Hello my faithful friend and reviewer!!!!!!  I really appreciate all your support.  I am sure every author whose story you read is grateful for your consistent reviews!!!!  I think Justin gave Joan a good dose of FoF (Fear of Fags) and she may reconsider her horrible attitude.  I think the train set will be very popular.  Justin will need a crowbar to get Brian and Gus out of that room.  We are going to have to wait and see what happen with Craig.  Jennifer is going to be keeping her eye on him.  Craig steps out of line and the wrath of Mother Taylor will smote him!  You know how much I love reviews so, as always, thanks for the review!!!!   Bill

I am glad Craig feels left out.  Good job Jen filling him in on how wonderful it is to be in the boys lives.  I love Justin's conversation with Joan.  Then when Brian went to out back him up it was perfect.  Great update.  Looking forward to Christmas.

Dee Dee

Author's Response:

Jen stuck that "my life is wonderful" knife in and twisted it around.  I thnk that was quite a wake up call tp Joan to realize her actions could have consequences.  Not sure why she thought Brian would defend her when she never defended him.  Glad you enjoyed the latest chapter.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

HI! Oh how I've been waiting for this.

well....seems like Joan's attempt at a softer side was tyically brief. It reminds me of young Brian actually. whe he would show a softer side of himself to Justin, then make up for it later and be an asshole x5.  Justin was.............BRILLIANT! I loved every word, every nuance. (Actually, there were no nuances...he just laid out straight to her) No threats, just was blunt and to the point. told her they was it was going to be. He was right in that she needs to read the New testament rather than sticking to the old. Has always been a sore point with me. Can't stand it when people used old testament scripture to prove their point, when New Testament give it a complete swtich up. But they don't like that. It's amazing that they call themselves Christians at all. I grew up in teh anglican church...very involved and I never remember eharing words of hate. We have friends of the family who's kids were gay. Neve were they ostrasized. I mean there were old buttys of course, no getting away from them anywhere you go, but the leadership of our church was totally accepting. I guess when I see church's doing the opposite my blood boils.

anyway.....sorry, I digress.  the one thing I love about this entire story, is the conversation and iteractions between teh characters. It's like you're watching them live. They all engage each other...we see them having normal; conversations, even on little things. so realistic I van visualize it all the time. Great ixaple is the cookie scene. just the little part about Brian taking the cookies up to Justin and John thumping his forehead in realization. It's that kind of attention to details that make this so brilliant and you you such an extraordinary writer.

Now.....what the hell is up with Craig? Is he going to do the softening I though Joan was going to do? what's made him realize what all he's lost? O love that Jennifer is not fogiving here. He really doesn't deserve it at this point. He's got alot to do if he truly wants forgivness from anyone. I always taught my daughter that it's easy to say sorry. But if you truly are sorry, than you change the behaviour otherwise the apoligy is pointless. Craig's ot even at the apology stage yet. He's got a long road ahead of him. He seems kind of grateful for what Brian and Justim forced him to do re" the loan. It's like they forcd him to grow up or something.

Man..I just go on and on all the time on these reviews don't I. talk talk talk....

Ok. this is me signing off. I was so happy to end my day last night with this. Thak you!!!!!

Cheers,

Elaine

Author's Response:

So exciting when you review on a non Monday!!!!!  I think Joan got a whole new appreciation of Justin.  Her life style of staying removed from other people has made her very vulnerable.  I agreee about the "Christians" who never quote Christ in all their hateful rants.  I find that extremely annoying!!!  Christ's message was love and acceptance and I don't understand why people filled with hate and prejudice even want to be identified as "Christian".  I can do you one better from Anglican - I am a product of 12 years of Catholic education.  You can never completely get over the guilt that those years instill in you!

I digressed right along with you!!!  Your comments are so kind that I am blushing sitting here at my computer, not sure ideserve such praise.  Your review will keep me smiling all day.  I am happy you enjoy the story so much.  I can hardly believe how long I have been writing this saga and it the loyal reviewers like you that keep it going.

I think Craig realized what he has lost by his behavior and by not loving and accepting his son.  Jennifer let him know how full and happy her life is.  Hard to say whether Justin will ever forgive Craig and accept him back in his life.  We know where Brian will stand on that subject.  I think Craig is surprised that the things he tried to fight B&J on actually turned out to be big benefts to him.  Maybe he wants to be friendly so they can give him some more good advice.

Always look forward to reading your comments!!!!  Thanks for all your reviews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Both Jen and Justin have a way with words and can be as to tough as nails! Don't mess with their loved ones.  Great analgogy about the sour milk.  Fits Joan to the t.

Author's Response:

It is a mistake to make Jennifer or Justin angry and they will always do the utmost to defend & protect their loved ones.  I have to say I liked the sour milk analogy myself, I thought it fit Joan perfectly.  Glad you liked it as well.  Thanks for being so faithful about reviewing, as you know I LOVE to read reviews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     Bill

Bravo for Justin but I think Brian's involvement by adding his two cents was over kill.
Christmas is going to be happy for almost everyone. Craig screwed himself over with no one to blame but himself.
I don't think Gus is going to get much sleep once he sees the train set up. Neither will Brian. Ha!

Author's Response:

I think Brian just wanted Joan to know that he and Justin are a team and that he would always support his partner.  I think Carig is starting to realize just what a huge mistake he made not supporting and loving his son.  Jennifer let him know how happy she was and how Brian and Justin are surrounded by loving friends and family.  Justin may have to put a lock on the train room door to keep father and son out.  Always happy to hear from you.  Thanks for reviewing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

About time Joan got a good telling off - Justin is not someone to mess with...... I remember seeing a huge train display at Myer's at Christmas years ago - it was wonderful. I can just see the train room in my mind looking very much like that - it's unfortunate they don't do anything like that at Christmas anymore - at least not at any of the stores in Western Australia - it's all iPads, iPhones and iPods and tacky, tacky decorations - at least Gus will have old fashioned fun with his dad and of course all the others. And why do I feel Craig is up to something - for his sake he better be sincere - Justin learnt at Jennifer's knee so I can just see her making Craig regret any wrong move. Looking forward to more.

Author's Response:

I think Joan probably has a new appreciation/fear of Justin.  Growing up we had a train platform at Christmas and so did most people I knew.  Ours was a two teir platform and we had lights in some houses.  My uncle's platform had a trolley car and real street lights so that was kind of nostalgic to write about.  I think in the past we used our imaginations more.  B&J do have the tacky decoration covered this year.  I agree that if Craig is not sincere he better watch his back because Mother Tigress Jennifer will stalk him and make him sorry.  Thanks for all the review I appreciate your support for the story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Love love love Justin defending Brian to Joan makes me almost want to see her mess up so Justin can find her a bad nursing home. Pretty sure those trains are for Brian Gus getting to play with them is just a bonus. I am very curious what John and Peter's gifts will be. Ugg Craig why now he is on par with Joan can we find a vault and lock them away together. I can't wait till you write about the actual holiday their gifts have me guessing. thanks for a new chapter

Author's Response:

Justin has had his fill of Joan treating Brian badly.  I guess he was tired of waiting for Alice and Jennifer to take her outside and right her up so he had to step in.  Isn't that the point of having kids?  Buying fun stuff for them that you can play with.  So you are not thinking Craig is sincere.  Would kind of be fun to see what Jennifer does is he sent mea gifts.  I am not sure about gifts yet.  Uncertain to be how over the top John & Peter's gifts should be.  Guess it will depend on my mood when I wrte that chapter.  Always glad to read your review!!!!!  Thanks for all your support!!!  Bill

Sweet Baboo, I have a question, of course I'm all for a wonderful Christmas for ALL at Britin, but you haven't mentioned Craig recently. Of course I'm not sure what the slug is up to.If he is after Brian's and Justin's money, trying to get his way on the loan, somehow I don't think he's really trying to make nice with them. His ego is crushed his wife and daughter do find without his financial help Justin and Brian are both successful, and he's been replaced by a younger man in Tucker. He has failed at just about every thing he has tried in his life. Just wondered if we will find out about him or if we've seen the last of him. I enjoy how Brian and Justin can push his buttons for a change. Just been thinking about it. Your Sally

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, I have been thinking about good old Craig. He is really a loser at life. Maybe he had been hanging out with Ron Peterson? Since you have expressd an interest in Craig, he will appear soon in the story. How could I refuse a request from you. Maybe Jennifer will realize what a mistake she made getting rid of Craig and throw Tucker out?? Maybe Brian will realize Craig is really who he always wanted and Justin is just a substitute?? Maybe Craig will start to frequent the Liberty Diner and sweep Debbie off her feet with his charm, she could call him Sunshine Senior??  I guess we will have to wait and see what new adventures await Craig Taylor.  Always enjoy hearing from you.  your Sweet Baboo

Thank you for another wonderful chapter! Love the interaction between Justin and Brian about the Chrismas decorations. 😄 Brian doesn't stand a chance. LOL

I'm curious about whether Joan will take a good hard look at where she's ended up, how she got there, and turn over a new leaf. It seems like that could possibly happen. I like the way Peter listens to her story of growing up but, at the same time, sees Joan clearly. He's spot on in his advice to her.

I enjoy every additon to this saga. Now, if I could just manufacture more time to read!

Author's Response:

Bran doesn't stand a chnace now and just imagine how much worse it will be when two little sunshines are running around the house.  Hard to say waht Joan will do.  She had NO ONE else in her life.  This injury should be kind of a wake up call for her but the Kinneys are stubborn people.  Thank you for the nice comments.  I'm glad you are still enjoying this saga and I really appreciate the review!!!!!!!!   Bill
