I do notlike that Jen is so bossy to Brian.  Spending his money when she feels like it and tellhim what to do.  Brian shouldtell her to back off and Justin too

Sweet Baboo! I forgot about Craig, the gifts that he sent were well chosen but is there a hiden agenda. The boys were surprised but I'm worried about Justin getting his hopes up only to played again. I hope their holiday party with the family coming to Britin goes well surely mikey can keep his mouth shut for a few hours.

Author's Response:

A double review!!!  Thanks Sally!!  Brian is going to be very cautious about Craig and do his best to make sure Justin is not hurt.  Justin has good memories of Craig but all Brian's interactions with Craig were bad.  I think if Craig hurts Justin Brian and Jennifer may band together to kill or hurt him badly.  I wouldn't count on Mikey being either silent or sensible!!  Thanks Darling Sally for all your support.  I am thankful for you!!!!  your sweet Baboo

My Sweet Baboo, It's turkey time in two days. For once when I say turkey I don't mean mikey! Hope you and yours have a beautiful Thanksgiving. I was surprised Joan would tell someone in her church about Brian being gay. No one in these days really care, the  people have so many problems. We just went thru an awful election. police being killed for no good reaso, it seems everyone is looking for someone or something to hate That is so sad. Joan is trying to understand how people take gay lifestyle for granted. I'm glad John and Peter enjoyed their Christmas. I knew Brian and Justin made sure the entire family had a nice Christmas--as usual mikey feels sighted, he's never happy for anyone he was jealous JR caused she's going to Disney World--of course he had to act like a two year old. Great update to wonderful story, Love, your Sally

Author's Response:

Hello my Darling Sally, always happy to hear from you.  We certainly don't want a day when we celebrate MIkey!!!  I imiagin most people in the nrighborhood know that Brian is gay.  There were also news reporst about the attempted kidnapping of Justin so Joan might not talk about it but lots of other folks do!  This has been a tough year with some much division and violence.  I agree that some people just want to hate and to be offended by other people.  I knew a wman who had a gay daughter that she completely cut out of her life because she was gay so sadly there are people like Joan out there.  Hopefully there are less than there used to be!  Mikey never thinks he needs to work for anything, he wants things given to him.  John & Peter never had a Christmas like this one before.  Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.  I have no blood releatives here so I will be with my adopted family.  Made my homemade applesauce and some candied sweet potatoes as my part of the feast!  your sweet Baboo

That was an interesting way to start a chapter.  Thelma

summarized Brian and Justin’s kindness very well.  Too bad, Joan

doesn’t see that.  She can’t see past B&J’s lifestyle to see what

wonderful people they are.

I was happy to see Justin hug Tucker and say nice things to him.

Tucker has been a real good guy, and a nice addition to the

family.  Looks like Justin finally realizes that.  I was happy to read

about it.

I simply don’t know where Craig fits in.  To me he doesn’t and I

would rather he just go away.  I understand that Justin

remembers some of the good in Craig.  But Brian (and me) don’t.

I would have liked to see something about Claire.

In this Chapter, I am glad JR was not there.  This is Gus’s family.

And oh yes, the train set will give Brian and Gus much wonderful

Daddy and Sonny Boy time.

That was a terrific chapter.  Lots and lots of good holiday spirit.

DavidR

Author's Response:

Joan is determined to never accept Brian's lifestyle.  It doesn't matter what anyone says to her.  When she is alone there is no one to disappoint her.  I think Justin knows that Tucker is good for his mother but he has a hard time accepting it.  You are correct about Brian he wants nothing to do with Craig and is concerned about Craig hurting Justin again.  We'll have to wait and see who is correct, you & Brian or Justin.  I actually meant to have something about Claire in the last chapter and forgot - bad author!  We'll hear about her in the next chapter.  I think you are right about the trains!!!  Thanks for the review, you know I always look forward to your comments.!!!  Bill

Haooy Monday my friend! Sorry to hear your friend has been unwell. Hopefully she's well on her way to recovery now.

As for joan...she really is her own worst enemy. I doubt she'll evr gt her head on straight about Brian and his family no matter who says what to her. She's too set in her ways. Shame really, but she brought it all upon herself.

What a beautiful Christmas at Britin! the gifts we lovely for all of them, but the atmosphere, the togetherness was magical! Peter and John most assuredly had their best Christmas ever. I know they've never experienced anything like that before.

Criag's gifts were a surprise. Is he making legitimate overtures towards our boys? I'm so distrusting of him that I'm always looking for any kind of deviousness, but I'm not seeing anything accept a real attempt. Perhaps there's hope yet. Thankfully he's not as stuck in his ways as Joan.

Had to chuckle over Jenny and her attitude. Justin's interaction with her and his little jab at Mel was well placed. quite funny really.

Gus's heart is amazing for such a little boy. So giving and such generosity. Thinking of Joe like he did. Making sure that B&J could take back some of his gifts the way he did. He could definitely teach a few lessons to some of the adults around them.

will be interested to see how the next days dinner goes with all the family at Britin.

A really really lovely and heartwarming chapter.

Cheers,

Elaine

Monday, Monday so good to me

Monday morning it was all I hoped it would be

Hello my Monday friend, thanks for the good thoughts, my sick friend is doing much better.  I believe Joan prefers to be alone, no one else measures up to her standards.  Brian is going to be very hard to convince that Craig is sincere.  Justin was correct when he said he has god memories of Craig and Brian has nothing but bad memeories of Craig.  Justin is pretty open about his diapproval of Mel's parenting.  Happy to know you enjoyed this chapter.  I always look forward to reading your comments, thanks for never disappointing me!!!!  Cheers back to you.  Bill

Another great chapter.  Wish Joan would listen to her friend about the wonderful son she has, but she is too narrow minded.  Thanks for sharing a glimpse into their holiday.

Author's Response:

Glad you enjoyed the latest update.  I'm not sure Joan really has any "friends"??  She is stubborn & prejudiced & unhappy and seems to be resolved to stay that way.  At least everyone at the Taylor-Kinney home had a great holiday.  Always good to hear from you!!!   Bill

What a wonderful Christmas!  Even Craig got into the spirit.  Unfortunately, Joan continued with her annoying attitude.

Thanks for the review!!!  Happy to know you are still enjoying the story.  I don't think anyone missed Joan and she was happy with her own company.  Bill

Sorry to hear about your friend and I hope things get better soon. Loved this chapter and enjoyed reading all about everyone's gifts, the holiday meals, etc. Given recent events, this is a nice place to retreat. Will Brian give in on Craig for Justin's sake? Maybe forgive, but not forget? When someone is as monumentally wrong as Craig was, it takes a really generous soul to give another chance. Some people refuse to change. Joan is a good illustration. She needs to read that part of the Bible that says "Judge not..." Her homophobia and refusal to see beyond it is what prevents her from becoming part of the family. Then again, maybe she likes being alone. Perhaps, JR will find out that her sass will come back to haunt her. Perhaps she will be left out of certain fun events. What a mouth. Maybe she will learn that no one wants to be around that. Isn't behavior like that learned because it is rewarded? I would make certain that it is not rewarded. I'll be interested to hear about Joe's Christmas and what else is going on with him. Thanks so much for continuing this story. It is great.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the kind thoughts.  My friend is on the way to recovery but it will take a while.  It is nice to escaoe from RL for a while.  I hope the story trumped any upsetting news you moght have been reading about.  A lot of suspence about the future.  I think Brian is going to be very cautious about Craig.  He will never forget but if it makes Justin happy to have Craig back in his life Brian will support him.  Joan is unchanging but hopefully the history of unhappiness will end with her.  Brian has found his happiness and not the nephews are having the life they deserve.  Poor JR she will have a hard time if she doesn't get some understanding and good parenting.  The nly thing for sure is that Uncle Bri & Uncle Jus will NOT put up with any nonesense from her.  I think JR was lucky Mel came into the room.  She may have gotten quite a talking to from Uncle Jus  and if Uncle Bri heard her disrepecting his Sunshine she would be really sorry!  We will hear more about Joe and his life.  I am so glad to know you are enjoying my saga.  I love to hear from the readers so thank you very much for the review!!  The readers and thier comments are what keep me writing the story!!!  Bill

Ugh, Joan is her own worst enemy. I'm so glad Brian and Justin have plenty of loving family members to offset that narrow-minded woman.

Love how both Justin and Brian surprised each other with their gifts. Those two men may have to find a time when they can 'christen' Justin's new SUV, lol.

I'm with Brian about trusting Craig; it's difficult to believe he's sincere.

So fun the way Brian and Gus play with the train set. One is never too old for that kind of fun. 😊

Bill, I hope your friend is doing much better. Friends and family always come first! No question that I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter - but only when RL permits.

Karynn

Author's Response:

I think Joan feels that she is her own best friend.  No one else is up to her standards.  B&J know how to please each other and I agree that SUV will need to be "christened".  I think Brian is going to be watching to be sure Craig has no opportunity to hurt Justin again.  Between Brian & Jennifer Craig should be very afraid if he is trying to scam them.  My friend is doing much better but still has a way to go before she is able to come home.  Thanks for the good thoughts!!!  Bill

I just found this story again and read everything over again.  It took three days, lol.  I'm glad you are still updating it, at whatever pace you want.  I can't wait to meet the babies and learn if they will be little blonde and blue eyed angels.

Are you actually going to write Brian in Disney World?  I don't think I have EVER read that before!  No matter how 'domesticated' he has become, a pack of over excited kids in an over packed theme park is bound to test his ability to keep his calm and pg 13 vocab under control.  LOL. A LOT of time outs and quite one on one time will be needed with only his Sunshine to keep him balanced.

I've never explored the park from a rich person's perspective and unlimited access to all amenities.  I wonder if you can have provate guides to take the kids around the park?

Anyway, I'm just glad you are still writing and look forward to where your muse takes us.  :)

Author's Response:

I am always amazed and flattered when a reader tells me they have re-read the entire saga.  I am so fortunate to have such loyal readers & reviewers, that is what keeps the story going.  Several people have asked for a Brian in Disney Story.  That was not my plan but I think it might be fun to have a quick story about that trip.  Brian will be torn between wanting to avoid everything Disney and wanting to see Gus experience the Magic Kingdom for the first time.  Thank you for your very kind comments and fort aking time to post a review.  I do love hearing from the readers!!!!!!  Bill

Hi, Bill! First of all, I hope your friend is doing better now.  That is the most important priority by far, and I for one will wait patiently until which time you are able to update. :)

Now for this chapter. Some observations.  I almost pity Joan; no, I guess I do, although she has brought a lot of what she has wrought upon herself.  She will die, I believe, a lonely and bitter woman. The holidays should hopefully be a time of forgiveness and understanding, which are two words that will probably never escape her lips.  Thank God Brian has emerged from his childhood a scarred man, but one who has triumphed and overcome his parents' treatment of him.  He has become a loving partner and father, and someone to admire.

A little surprised by Craig's gesture, but hopefully it is sincere, and perhaps one day even he will change, unlike Joan.  BTW, I always wrack my brain to think of whether or not Justin called his father "Craig" later in the show, but I can't for the life of me remember. Did he?

JR is becoming more and more not only like her mother, but her father as well, sadly.  I hope she can learn from Gus as a role model, and change her ways, or I fear what she will be as a teenager!  Maybe one day you will write about them as older kids. (hint, hint).

As always, I love the detail in your chapters.  From the preparations for Christmas dinner, to the surprise gift for Justin, to the love clearly shown between the family members.

Thanks again for a wonderful chapter! Always enjoy reading your updates.  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi Kim, my friend is in rehab and is doing better.  Thanks for asking.  I think Joan would be unhappy to think anyone pities her.  No one meets her standards of behavior so she is happy to have no one around.  Brian has been able to overcome a lot from his early life.  His life is different from anything he expected but I believe he is blissfully happy.

I think Craig realizes all he has lost because of his homophobia.  He really lost his entire family because of his attitude.  Now they are all happy together and he is alone.  Justin may be ready to give him another chance but Brian will be much more suspicious of Craig's motives.  I can't remember for sure but I think Justin called him Craig in the show.  I thought about watching some chapter "On Demand" but actually I don't remember Justin talking about his father much at all, after he left home.  Even Jennifer played a pretty minor role in the show.  She has a much bigger role in my story.

JR has an unfortunate gene pool to draw from.  I like to think Gus is like Brian would have been if he had loving parents.  I think JR is kind of lucky Mama showed up.  I think Uncle Jus was getting ready to really let JR have it for her behavior.  Instead he let Mel know that he still wasn't a fan of her parenting.

Thanks for the nice comments.  I learned a lot from reading so many stories from my favorite author.  I think you can guess who that is.  Always enjoy reading reviews so thanks for being so loyal about poting them!!!!!!  Bill

I'm afraid I cannot find it in my heart to pity Joan.  She is so narrowminded and selfish that in spite of being invited some place for Christmas she would prefer to be along.  Meanwhile her only son and his family are enjoying the Holiday season.  John and Peter are so well behaved that when being banished to their rooms, they do not complain or try to find out what's in their gifts.  In fact they prepare Christmas Breakfast.  They have a wonderful meal which features a Christmas coffee cake made by Molly!  Then for the surprises.  Justin gets a new SUV with plenty of room for the new babies.  There are lots of presents to go around.  Jennifer is going to need a lockbox for her new jewelry.  Craig even sent gifts and I must admit to being surprised by his attitude.  Unlike Joan he's welling to change.  Then there is lunch with Gus.  Having Jennifer and her crew over means that John and Peter are not left out.  Gus could, by all rights, be a spoilt little boy and isn't.  JR is behaving like a spoilt princess with telling Justin he can't tell her what to do.  Wonder who she got that from?  Everyone is spending the day with people that care about them.  And a good time was had by all, except for Joan who wouldn't know a good time if it bit her.  Everyone getting together at Britin on the 26th ought to make for another fabulous chapter.  Thank you and Merry Christmas!!!

Author's Response:

Hellp my friend, I don't think Joan wants anyone to pity her.  She prefers her own company to anyone else's.  I think Justin knows that the threat of Grandmom Jen's displeasure keeps everyone in the house on their best behavior.  Brian and the boys don't want Grandmom Jen angry with them.  I am sure Brian would deny that but I think it is true.  The Taylor-Kinney household has had an outstanding Christmas so far.  I imagine Jennifer is delighted to spend time with all her boys & Molly.  I believe Craig is realizing what he gave up and hoping maybe he can be a part of Justin's life.  He doesn't even know he could be a grandfather soon.  Brian is NOT going to welcome Craig too easily.  He will want to pretect his Sunshine from any more heartache.  With her parents genes floating around inside her we can expect JR to be whiney & determined.  So far she has not disappointed.  Hope you have a great Thanksgiving, I suspect we will have some more review conversation before Christmas.  Thanks for the review, you know I do really love to get them!!!!   Bill

Thelma shouldn't feel bad for Joan. It's the life she chooses to live.
Christmas at the Kinney's is full of surprises. The car, the train room, the gifts or olive branch from Craig, and Briangracefully accepting Jen's mothering ways without a fuss.
Great chapter.
Hope your friend is doing well.

Author's Response:

You are correct, Joan best skill is pushing people away.  They did have a very Merry Christmas.  I think Brian would die rather than admit it but he enjoys Jen mothering him.  He knows she genuinely cares for him.  My friend had flesh eating bacteria but they got it quickly and she is doing better.  Glad you enjoyed the chapter.  Thanks for the review!!  Bill

Finally presents. I like that Jennifer cried over the jewelry even though I knew she would. I loved Justin's present in the garage and how Brian got him to go see it.i would have liked more thoughts from John and Peter the on their gifts because this probably the first time someone bought them presents that were obviously for them like the kindle for Peter and the Cooking School for John. Jenny acting like a brat to Justin did not surprise me, the fact that she got a punishment was only because there were outside witnesses. I get the feeling she is not usually punished Gus is. I loved how much Gus loved his presents and the fact that he was willing to give some up because his Daddy's helped someone. Those trains are going to be where Justin find Brian and Gus for months to come. Craig's presents not sure how he could afford them but at least they were not generic he put some thought in them. Last and maybe least Joan she can't even be nice to someone driving her to church no wonder no one is with her for the Holidays. I was hoping for 3 chapters again this month I understand why there isn't so can there be at least 3 if not 4 in December while you wrap this one up in preparation for the next story with the babies. Happy Thanksgiving.

Author's Response:

I think most grandmothers abd mothers feel obliged to cry over special gifts.  Jenifer will make quite a sensation in the real estate office when she wears her new jewels for the first time.  Christmas isn't over yet so we may hear more from the nephews.  I just realized I didn't reveal Claire'a gifts to them, bad author!!!  My mistake will beacome Justin's in the next chapter.  With her gene pool JR is going to need a firm hand.  Gus is a happy little guy.  He was probably pretty sure his Daddies wouldn't tkae back any gifts but it was nice he offered.  You are probably correct that a lot of time is going to be spent in the train room.  Craig's business is doing better, due to the consultant Sunshine associates insisted on made some recommendations.  His expeneses ate down also since he moved out his condo with the big monthly fee.  I believe he is realizing what he is missing out on. I don't Joan really knows how to be nice, she hasn't experience a lot of niceness in her life.

Mr friend I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.  I am thankful to have such a faithful reviewer!!  Bill
