I think Justin inherited Debbie love of Christmas decorations. Leave it to Michael to bring everyone down with his gloomy attitude, and underlining jealousy...

Hugs ~ Kathleen

Author's Response:

I might have but I think he likes to drive Brian a little crazy with Cristmas decorations.  We can always count on Mikey to always look at the negative.  Thanks Kathleen for all the reviews.  Happy to know you are still enjoying this saga.  Hugs back to you,  Bill

I think it is wonderful that Justin is so into the Christmas decorations and traditions. John and Peter are right...it is entertaining to observe B/J's little squabbles and outdoing each other. Have to love Brian's method of decorating--hiring a company. Glad that crabby old Joan stayed out of the house and didn't get near Gus. I do hope that remains true. Agree with Justin--she is vile. Yes, she's had a tough life, but she's also had opportunities to become part of the family, but she's rejected each one. Typical Michael--he is like a dreary day. Good for Debbie letting him have it and sending him home. Again--how does Ben bear living with him? Hope we see Kevin again soon...he is so cute and Gus and Kevin together are irresistible. So sad that Brian had no grandparents to spoil him. Thanks for this...looking forward to the next one!

Author's Response:

Brian believes it is always better to hire someone than to do the work himself.  Justin has always loved Christmas but Brian has resisted.  Justin is an expert of using Gus to get Brian to do things he would rather not do.  Imagine when there are two little Sunshines running around the house - Brian will have no chance against them.  It appears you are on the "Joan go home" team.  We will hear more from Joan in the next chapter.  Always glad to hear that someone enjoyed the latest chapter, thanks for letting me know!!    BIll

Wow wow wow wow, to infinity wow. I have read from1-16 and I loved every bit of it. I love how the boys are not taking the uncles for granted and I love Kevin he is so wonderful and I love how Gus is with him. Oooooh babies I'm excited to see how that will do and the story that will come from them . I hope Josn lightens up, I actually feel for her and she needs to let her family in and let herself realise what she is missing out on. Maybe she might come over for Christmas dinner or something.

Hoe many chapter will this be, I hope it's as long as the first amazing story. I'm so excited to see more of this and cannot wait for more.

you are doing a seriously amazing job, one of my favourite stories of all time. 😘🌹💕💞

Author's Response:

Wow, wow, wow what a great review!  I'm really not sure I deserve it.  I love Kevin and I am happy so many readers love him too.  He seesm to be one of the favorite original characters in this story.  Lots of Joan's story in the next chapter.  Thsi story will wrap up in a few more chapters around 20 chapters total.  Thw story of the twins will start in the next story "To Have an To Hold".  Thanks for all the kind wrods and I'm happy to know you are enjoying the story.  Thanks for the review, love to hear from the readers.  I appreciate all the support for my story!!!!!   Bill

This was the perfect chapter to read before I drift off to sleep. . .well, as long as I don't dream about stores selling Christmas decorations in July. LOL

Brian and Justin's 'contest' about Christmas had me in stitches. Love the way Justin takes the tacky decorations and makes them fit his artistic sensibilities.

Had to smile when I read that Debbie and Carl had seen Cabaret in New York. Perfect!

Good for Debbie! She didn't let her whiny son destroy her happiness over her new stove and remodeled kitchen.

Many thanks for continuing this heartwarming story about the Taylor Kinney family.

Karynn

Author's Response:

Not 100% sure I am happy that my writing puts you to sleep, I'll have to think about that??  Brian has no chnace of winning that contest.  I thought that would be the best show for Debbie and Carl to see.  Poor Mikey has managed to alienate the person who was always in his side.  Happy to know you are still enjoying this saga after all this time.  Thanks for the reviews you know I love to get them!!!!  Bill

Hi,

This is the problem I have with Debbie.  Just this once, couldn’t she just say thank you to Brian.  Couldn’t once say something good to him, and just shut up.  I know, I know that is not who she is, not the way she is portrayed.

“Thanks for all you do for me. You know I love you even

if you can act like an asshole a lot of the time.”

What can I say.  I don’t like it, not at all.

As far as Michael goes.  They still excuse him.  After all he just said in this chapter, and yes they did shout him down and tell him he was so very wrong.  That is not enough for me.  Instead of just threatening to throw him out, they should have thrown him out.  What good would that do?  I guess absolutely nothing.  He is too far gone.

Sorry to complain so much, but just one more.  It is time to pack Joan up and send her home.  But since you mentioned Joan and Gus, I guess Gus will find out who she is.  What then?  It will be interesting.

   Thanks again,

   DavidR

Author's Response:

I think Debie is trying to change and she is paying attention to Carl when he points out things that she does.  I don't think Brian wants her to change too much.  Debbie and Brian have developed their relationship over the years but I agree it could use a tune-up.  I think Debbie telling Michael to leave was a big deal.  Maybe that will be a little eye opener for him but we can't count on too much chnage from him.  I think some changes are coming for Joanie but I honestly haven't decided what they should be.  The reviewers are kind of divided on her fate.  I can see you are firmly on the send the bitch home and forget her side the equation.  I always appreciate your comments, you give me lots of fodd for thought and I like that.  Thanks for all your reviews!!!!!!   Bill

Did you miss me yesterday? LOL. Twas a holiday here, so I wasn't on a computer so here I am on a Tuesday instead.

Great update and thoroughly enjoyable. I just love all the family intereactions you portray in this story. Iknow, I know...It's all been said before, but it remains true every chapter. It's heartwarming and give hope.

I keep wondering if at some point in time Joan will come around. I know she wasn't involved in this chapter, but each time she's mentioned, I always wonder....I always hope for her sake, if not for the sake of the rest of teh family, especially the boys, that she will slowly see what's right in front of her face. That love surpasses judgement and hate.

Not surprised by Micheal's attitude. I was surprised that he gave up so wuickly though. lol. I'm sure there is more to come from our favorite little whiner.

I'm looking forward to Christmas withe the Kinney and their extended family. the love adn warmth surrounding this ever growing family, with a few touches of angst thrown in there for good measure.

Deb's reaction was wonderful!! She so deserved this treat!

I must say I enjoyed Carl's hug for Brian. He's really a great addition and a great partner for Deb.

thanks for once again letting me fall into this world you've created. I always smile reading your updates.

Hugs!!

Cheers,

Elaine

Author's Response:

Hello Elaine, I was deteremined to post the latest chapter on Sunday.  First it was another cahpter for July and that would make shf happy and I thought it will be waiting for you to read on Monday.  When there was no review from you yesterday it did surprise me.  Happy to see your comments today!!!!!!  Your commenst are always so positive and detailed which make they fun for me to read.  I get the impression that most reviewers want to see Joan's cold heart start to melt a little.  I have to thimk about that happening.  Still haven't made up my mind about Joan.

I think Mikey as so surprised to hear harsh words come from Debbie that he wanted to get out as soon as possible.  He didn't want Carl to join in anti-Mikey talk so he departed.  You always pick up on the small things like Brian getting higged by Carl I appreciate that.  Glad to hear from you even if it is a day late.  Thanks for all your support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Hi Sweet Baboo, I loved this update. Debbie got her kitchen make over and a new stove she certainly needed it and deserved it, the way she always loves cooking so much. Was really glad she told the moron to go home he was trying to ruin her day. Wonder if the tree in the garage will find its way to the pool house? I think Brian will cut a deal with Joan--If she'll keep her mouth shut for a few hours, he will let eat with family and her grandsons, but no preaching and treating one rude. I can't see letting his aged mother be by herself for the holiday especially with Claire in prison, I think a blond twink will insist it's the right thing to do and I think Peter and John will have a better Christmas, and if mikey doesn't like it he can go McDonalds! GREAT UPDATE, Love your Sally

Author's Response:

Darling Sally, always so happy to hear from you.  I agree a new kitchen for Debbie is well deserved.  So many meals for the gang were prepared in that kitchen.  She did not let Michael rain on her parade and Carl gave his approval from his recliner.  I think that tree will be put in the faily room and they will decorate it on Saturday with the nephews & Gus.  Justin knows if he gets Gus involved Brian won't be able to resiste being involved.  You make a compleeling case for Joan to stay for Christmas.  I haven't made up my mind about Joan's Christmas yet.  I am ahppy to know you wnjoyed the latest chapter.  Thanks for always leaving comments I always look forward to reading them!!!!!!!!!!!!  Your sweet Baboo

This is wondetful.
So happy for Deb and Carl. New kitchen sounds great. Michael I have a feeling will be spending Christmas by himself if he doesn't learn to kerp his mouth shut. Stupid idiot. Maybe he can have dinner with Joan. Seems she may be all alone for Christmas too.
Jen's having a ball being grandmother to all the boys, and they love it.

Author's Response:

Happy to know you enjoyed this.  Debbie is have a good holiday season with lost of nice gifts.  Mikey is Mikey, can't expect much from him.  Joan and Mikey have Christmas dinner together.  That would be interesting!!!!!  Grandmom Jen is enjoying herself for sure.  A new little grandaughter on the way, it will be neck in neck to see who spoils that princess more - Jennifer or Brian.  Thanks for taking time to review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

I love how John and Peter are so amazed and often amused by Brian and Justin but these days they feel safer. In the past they would have worried about being sent back to Claire

Author's Response:

I don;t think there was ever much celebrating in Claire's house.  I think they are feeling secure in their new home.  Thanks for the review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

3 in July now that was a surprise almost like Christmas in July for your readers.  I loved how happy Deb was with her present and totally not shocked Mikey was an ass . I love how over the top Justin is going with the decorations and once there are babies in that house next year this year will be nothing. Any chance part of Brian's present can be Joan going back home. I can't wait till Gus sees it all he will be very excited. Way too much Mikey but truly happy to see a third July chapter. Have yo admit I also can't wait to see what Bian is getting Justin although Justin may say the babies are plenty. Thanks for continuing this story.

Author's Response:

I was determind to have a thrid July update as a reward for yoru patience.  I think Debbie will be thrilled to show off her new kitchen during her Christmas Eve get together.  Jusitn loves Christmas, not sure where Brian will be able to hang otu to escape the holiday glitter.  I have written before that I am still not sure which way to go with Joan so she will either be home or part of the festivities, we'll have to see which way I decide to go.  Mikey is always good for some self-obsessed behavior.  Glad you are still enjoying the story.  Thanks for always being so faithful about reviewing!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Bill

Hi, Bill! Always delighted to see an update. :)  I can only imagine what's going to happen with Joan once Christmas comes.  I suspect that Gus is going to find out who's out in the pool house out back. Wonder if a certain little boy can melt even Joan Kinney's heart somehow?

Love the large family unit you have going in this story. Thanks for another great update, Bill, and as usual I will be eagerly awaiting the next update. :)  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi Kim, wow you were quick to read and review today.  Always happy to know you are still enjoying the story.  I can't make up my mind about Joan - stay a bitch or gorw a heart????  The problem with a large family is trying to keep up with everyone but it is fun.  Thanks for the nice comments and taking time to review!!!!!!!!!!   Bill

This is getting me into the Christmas Spirit.  Love how Debbie is enjoying her new Christmas.  Saying it was too much is a mother thing.  Mikey is certainly the downer.  Maybe someday he'll grow up.  He doesn't know Brian as well as he thought if he thinks Brian's going to be upset with the decorating.

Author's Response:

Hwllo my friend, always happy to see your comments!!!!! I think everyone else being so good to her is showing her that Mikey needs to grow up. Even if Justin didn't want decorations Brian would celebrate Christmas for Gus's sake. Michael is clueless!! Thanks for the review, you know I love to get them!!!! Bill

Now it all makes sense.  I was wondering how Brian would condone all the decorations, some of them tacky.  I should have known they were teasing each other.

Author's Response:

It is kind of like making someone smoke a whole pack of cigarettes when you catch them smoking.  It doesn't seem to have worked with Justin.  Glad you enjoyed this chapter.  Thanks for the review!!  Bill
