Many thanks for this wonderful, largely feel-good chapter. With all the violence and hatred in the world, I needed the love of the extended Taylor Kinney family to offset it.
I always enjoy how Brian and Justin back each other up and support one another. Charlotte is such a fool to have gone against Justin's clearly-stated wishes and to have lost such a valuable client.
Aw, I love the scene with Carl and Debbie and how Brian helps them out with their return to Pittsburgh.

Author's Response: My wonderful friend Sally, after 115 chapters and 528,781 words I can forgive not remembering a character. I have made mistakes with names and often have to go back and find a character name (my story notes are not well organized) so it is not a big deal fror you to forget a character. Charlotte was also in San Francisco for the show at the Baily Gallery (had to check the notes for the gallery name!). Hi my sweet Baboo, I enjoyed this chapter very much. Some of my favorites were mentioned; Jennifer, Gus and Kevin. Them cooking together and the boys being very grown up were so cute, I'm so glad Tucker took pictures. As for Joan, I think she likes the poolhouse and all the attention she gets I don't understand how she can dislike Jen she has made such difference in John and Peter's life just by loving them. I don't remember Charlotte, maybe she was mentioned in your first story, but boy she's a piece of work! She told Justin that the children were not as important as his career and calling him Brian's boy toy, changing contracts without Justins approval. Sounds like someone may be ripping Justin off. Author's Response: Darling Sally, I love Gus & Kevin and of course Grandmom Jen. I enjoy writing about them. I think when you are with a loving grandmother it doesn't matter what you are doing you just enjoy being with her. I believe Joan is a little jealous of Jennifer and how much her grandsons love her. Joan also thinks Jennifer is a bad influence on John & Peter just like Brian & Justin. Joan thinks they are all trying to corrupt J&P. Joan's thinking is pretty twisted!! Charlotte has gotten used to making money from Justin's art and now is unhappy about that income beng reduced. She acted badly and now that income will dry up completely for her. That was a kind of strange chapter. I don’t understand
Charlotte. I thought she was an astute business person. The old
expression is: ‘don’t burn your bridges’. Well she sure did burn
her Justin/Charlotte Bridge. Good bye to her, and now that we
really got to know her …good riddance.
Joan seems to have mellowed. The problem I have is that I
really don’t really know her, I don't like her or even feel sorry for
her. I do know what she has done, what she has said, and as far
as I am concerned, they can just pack her up and send her back to
her house to live alone or die alone.
Now Jen is Jen. She is still a wonderful person. I can just picture
Gus and Kevin with their Chef Hats and Aprons. That is what
makes Jen extra special. She just does the extra thing that makes
people (in this case Gus and Kevin) happy.

Author's Response: I think Charlotte was upaet about the loss of income without Justin art shows. She has burned that bridge down for sure! It could just be the pain pills that Joan is on. The last reviewer wants to see Joan change but I'm not sure which way to go with her. Gus & Kevin love their Grandmom Jen. I don't think they much care what they do with her as long as they spend time together. Joan would probably be unhappy that Jennifer had them help with cooking. I enjoy this story i think you need to make the witch human again,, she has lived a very lonely life.. she can only fine confort in her belives eve n if they are wrong now she is in a loveing home and slowly she comes to relise she can be loved and she can love without beeing hurt the kids are the ones to bring her back to beeing human again...

Not sure if she should loosen up and become some part of the family or if she should stay the self righteous bitch. Always glad to see a new chapter, no matter how long the wait--it is worth it! The nerve of Charlotte! Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face! Not only did she deeply offend Justin, she's on Brian's bad list, too. Not a fun place to be. She may learn that in time. I was hoping Kevin would make an appearance. I love the interaction between Gus and Kevin. Jennifer is such a good grandma...so patient with the two boys. Enjoyed this chapter so much and look forward to the next update. Thank you!
Author's Response: Thanks for being patient!! Charlotte was cincerned about making less money from Justin and now she will make none, goodbye nose!! I love Gus & Kevin myself. Kevin is one of my favorite original characters, he is just all love. I think Gus & Kevin are happy to spend time with Grandmom Jen no matter what they are doing. I could picture Gus taking bowls over to dumo into the pot with his chef's hat and apron and Kevin stirring all the contents of the pot also with his hat and apron on. A great adventure for both boys before getting cozy and reading Christmas stories. Sounds like a great day. Thanks for all your nice comments!!!!!! Bill

i love how Brian and Justin treated Carl and Debbie it was sweet. Debbie is going to be so surprised when she see her present why do I see a family dinner there before the holidays.
I like how Gus as any typical kid is just excited to do anything new especially when his cousins are involved.
i am kind of curious now what presents Brian and Justin will get each other and maybe more what they will give the boys .
can the witch be home before the holidays happen that seems like it could be Brian's most favorite present.

Author's Response: We have been at this for a long time, you know me pretty well! Summer is tough for me. It doesn't get fully dark here until about 10 PM so that does mean lots of outside time for me. I have friends coming to stay this week so that suts back on the writing time as well. I will promise there will be at least one more chapter in July. The boys and Jennifer are keeping Gus away from Joan. It was a nice weekend for B&J and D&C with no Mikey to screw things up. The only thing I think about Christmas gifts is that Brian's gift to Justin will be extravagent. Poor Joan hasn't caused any problems, you are very mean about her but I think everyone will want her home before Christmas. Always makes me happy to see your comments!!!!! Another great chapter, Bill! I continue to admire how you place such intricate details in your stories. It really does help me to picture what is going on. Joan's icy demeanor seems to be breaking just a bit, but with someone like her, I know it would be a very gradual process. I will be interested to see what direction that takes.
Loved the short 'lesson' on the deer poop - ha! Glad that the men got some 'alone' time, and I love the 'take charge' Justin you portray in this 'verse.

Fabulous update! Always love Grandmom Jen, she is o great with her grown up boys as well as her " little ones."
Justin was so right in sending charlotte on her way, esp. after calling Justin a"boytoy".
I'm hoping the weekend doesn't have any unwanted surpries, like Linz or Mikey showing up.
Sorry I didn't leave a note for it, but I've been having some health issues,been having problem with my artritis which envoles all my joints.

Author's Response: Hi JoAnn, sorry the RA has been acting up. My mother-in-law had really bad arthritis for a number of years so I know how delilitating it can be. Grandmom Jen loves her boys, big & small, and they love her. Charlote really played that whole thing really wrong!! She made lot of money off Justin's art but that is OVER. I don't think there will be unpleasantness on NYC but no promises when they get back to the Pitts. I am glad to know you are still reading and enjoying the story!!! what the hell is up with Cahrlotte? I get that she's dependant on Justin for part of her career, but still, that by no means gives her the right to presume to give her opinion the way she did. Not sure I'm going to trust her now tough. am wondering if she will try something, whether it be trying to sue him of make statements to the press about him. (Mind you he couls sue her ass if she did) or if she'll just walk away quitely. I don't think Brian trusts her either.
what a lovely surprise that Deb and Carl showed up. A nice weekend for them away. Very sweet of Brian to give them flights back home. just shows more of Justin's support network.
As alsays, LOVE Grandma Jenn and the kids!!!!!!!!!! the love and support she gives all those boys is something we all wish for ourselves and hope to give out. You've given her a fantastic storyline in this. She became a wonderfully supportive mother in teh show, but you've extended that to such an amzing degree. I can't wait to see her with the new babies!!! And I know she'll never exclude or even seem to exclude the boys in any way.
She was great with Joan too. Joan won't get away with anything with Jenn around.
I have to say again just how much you made my mornig with this update. While I kept watch over the past weekend, I was a wee bit relived that you didn't update then as I was moving and had to stay involved with that. There were updates with some other fics that drew me away from the job at hand, but now that I'm a bit more free with my time, I could relax with this one and read at my pleasure without any guilt. :)

WTG Justin! Firing Charolette was probably the best thing he could do for his career. When the hell did she turn into "Lindsay the Sequel," trying to passive-aggressively guilt Justin into doing what she wants? Lord knows he doesn't need another one of those manipulative harridans in his life. I LOVED the way he handled her. Humph! Boy toy indeed!
So glad that Carl surprised Debbie and in turn surprised Brian and Justin at Justin's show. I also love that she can make Brian so uncomfortable when it's in a good way.

Another fabulous chapter that makes my week! If you weren't such a good author I wouldn't need my fix!!! This chapter was suspenseful with Justin having problems with Charlotte. I just hope she doesn't try to make problems cause that will come back to bite her in the but. Jennifer and jambalaya with the help of Kevin and Gus was a nice touch. I think she is going to switch gears to sweet & helpful hoping to salvage their relationship. Her boys love spending time with Grandmom Jen. I don't think they care very much what they are doing as long as they are doing it with her. I remeber as a little boy just enjoying spending time with my grandmother while she washed dishes. Joan busy reading her bible and not not getting the message! I thought it was a nice surprise for Debbie and Carl to take the bus to NYC for Justin's show.
