Thank you for this heartwarming Thanksgiving chapter! With their announcement of twins, Brian and Justin added even more cause for celebration.
I love how Brian and Justin, followed by Jen, did their best to make Gus, Peter, John--and Kevin--know that they would be loved just as much as before, that the twins would only add to the love everyone would receive. They are, indeed, a "family of love".
Looks like the Kinney household will be hosting future Thanksgiving dinners. Brian may protest, but I think he's secretly pleased. He like to do good deeds; he's just uncomfortable with praise.
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed the Turkey Day celebration, lots of people, lots of food. I think it was important to let the "boys"know the twins were not going to replace them. I think Kevin is used to being taken care of so he is happy to think there are going to be new babies that he can help care for. Brian probably realizes this was not a one time event and has made his peace with it. As long as he can "disappear" when he has had enough I think you are correct, he is pleased by it. Hi, Bill! So slow in having time to read some stories, but finally had the chance to read your latest chapter. I'm always impressed by the details you place in your story, and I could almost see the big dinner and the arrangements for it in my head. Good job on that! I'm glad the announcement is out in the open, but it's obvious that neither Lindsay nor Michael are happy with this arrangement, so it will be interesting to see how that develops. As usual, Michael was a jerk at the diner, so it wasn't totally unexpected. I had to laugh a little when Justin told his mom that they had 'purchased eggs.' Made me think about them running to Kroger's and picking out a dozen - ha! But so glad this is out in the open now.
Also liked how the two men handled the situation with Gus and how they tried to defuse any jealous feelings he might have toward the babies, and how they included him in the plans. I think that was a wise move on their part. As usual, a great job on this! Thanks. ~Kim

On the eggs topic I hard biled eggs the other day and when I used some of them two of the eggs had double yokes, made me think of the twins. Hi my dear sweet Baboo. A beautiful chapter, even Brian didn't mind all the people. although I bet his mind was racing and telling him to escape, everyone pitched in and it was a fairly sane Thanksgiving. Thanks to Brian, Justin, and Jen her four love grandsons were told the babies replaced no one that they had plenty of love to go around. For the life of me I don't understand how much Linds and mikey have screwed up own lives they still want to dictate how Brian should live his and if they don't approve of the twins just hush, they have been awful parents to their kids, anyone could do better. mikey was telling Brian how Thanksgiving should be and who shouldn't be invited, it's not his house , and he has no say in the matter.Wonder how Linds felt when Gus chose to eat with Kevin and papa instead of his crazy mother, and why didn't Brian tell her about the babies first rather than the boys and his mother-in-law? I think Gus will need some additonal reassurance in the future. I think Mikey & Linds are convinced that Justin has screwed up Brian's life and they need to "rescue" him. 42?! I get stressed when I have 10! Sounds like it would've been such fun though. Would've loved to attend something like that. :) Justin and everyone sure had to down to a science! Impressive! (that in turn means that obviously YOU had it well thought out as well! ;) )
Micheal is really getting more and more worrisome. His expectations for everyone to cover him financially...Such a sense of entitlement for some reason. I guess since nobody ever really has said "No" to him, like his mom, has allowed him to continue this jeuvenile behaviour.
While Gus's reaction was expected, I hope he doesn't ever get the feelilng of being left behind. Mainly, that neither Lindsey, Mel nore Micheal start feeding into any insecurities, or if they try, they get sropped immediately!
Jen's reaction as well as the boy's was wonderful! They are all going to be so supportive!
Micheal adn Lindsey's reaction are as expected. Not even a little surprised. I am looking forward to what they have to say though. I so enjoy having people putting them in their place! LOL.

Author's Response: Hi Elaine, you are really a devoted reader - following the story on two different web sites. I'm curious, are you afraid of missing something? I want to put your mind at ease, the updates always happen at the same time. Growing up we always had a lot of company, once my parents had a pary where 300 people were invited. My personal best is 28 for dinner. Of course if we all had an Alice 42 for dinner wouldn't be a problem. Nice that Justin used technology to keep track of food preparation and was prepared for the unexpected lasagna.
Mikey is consistent. Lindsay used to call Brian "Peter" for Peter Pan but Mikey is really the boy who never grew up. I think all children that have gotten used to the undivided attention of their fathers would be apprehensive about a new sibling or two! Gus will discover what his Papa told him that there wil be plenty of love to go around is true. I think once they arrive Gus will think the babies are pretty interesting. As long as he is the one & only Sonny Boy I think Gus will be happy.

Author's Response: Luckily most of the trouble Mikey & Linds make is for themselves. We had lots of big parties at our house when I was growing up. My mother and aunts did all the cooking. I think you get used to big crowds and having enough food, it can be fun. Glad you enjoyed this chapter. What an amazing Thanksgiving. We Aussies don't have those but our Christmas lunch is often along similar lines when families are large and everyone bringing their specialities. Justin's schedule is brilliant (I have to admit I have one for my Christmas baking which I have saved on my computer and use each year just making small changes - definitely makes the season easier to handle and a lot less stressful.) It's great that Brian and Justin told the boys and Jen before the rest about the babies. Gus and Kevin are so cute - “Announcement! Announcement! Everyone has to be quiet now!” - I'm still grinning. Everyone has a 'thorn in their side' that they have to deal with and Michael is definitely the thorn - gees - I so want to do a 'Debbie' and slap him. I don't trust Lindsay - nothing good is going to come from her.
Author's Response: I'm glad to know that you don't just throw a shrimp on the barbie for special occasions. LOL! Thanksgiving here is mainly about celebrating good people and good thing in our lives but the food is am important part of the celebration. Some how Turkey has become the main food to have at Thanksgiving but as you say everyone has a special dish to bring to the dinners. I'm pretty sure Jennifer would have hurt Justin if he left her find out about thr twins with everyone else. It's important to make Gus feel a part of the big news and to keep reassuring him that B&J will always love him. The problem with slapping Mikey is that it doesn't seem to do any good but it sure must be satisfying to do!! Thanks for letting me know that you enjoyed this chapter. Author's Response: There was a lot of people to eat all that food. Sevreal attendees were teenagers and they all have hollow legs and than there is Justin with his high metabolism. What a chapter! I don´t know thanksgiving very well and was surprised by the kind of food they. I knew turkey and mashed potatoes, but there were things I didn´t even know by name. Seems the Americans are cooking food once a year - and the other days they go to diners!
That was a house full and Brian was in his best behaviour. The great announcement took me by surprise - so much fun! Lovely moments!
I enjoyed this evening read after hard work-days so much - thank you!
Author's Response: Thanksgiving is mainly a day to be grateful for the the nice people and good things in our lives. However food comes in a close second in importance!! Every family has some special dish that they must prepare for Thanksgiving dinner. Italian cooks like Debbie would include pasta but most other people would not. Wow. What a big Thanksgiving and Brian handled it very well I thought. All the food sounded delicious. It was nice that Brian and Justin gave the news to John, Peter and Gus first, and sweet of them to include Kevin. I can imagine Lindsay being shocked, but why on earth is Michael annoyed. If anyone has a right to be annoyed it's Brian and Justin having to deal with his attitude and his not wanting to share Thankgiving with everyone else. I wonder if Melanie would have gone along with his plans to stay home and not go to Brian and Justin's home. As always a thoughly interesting and enjoyable chapter.

Thanksgiving way too much Michael you know I Had to say it. I am now starving and its hours until dinner that's just mean. I love how Brian adds more people but really wants nothing to do with how many are coming or how the food will appear. I see issues coming with Lindz home I don't know what but they will not be good I almost feel for Mel I think Gus may end up feeling the brunt of it.
Ok babies so glad they did it the way they did with John, Peter Gus and loved Kevin coming along. So glad Jen handled that the way she did.
Michael and Lindsay are going to be thrown out of Brian and Justin's house forever and I can't wait for it to happen.
And one comment that got lost in the MW crash I had changed my mind on the twins where I originally wanted 2 girls I wanted 1 boy and 1 girl I thought it would be more interesting for Brian that way

Author's Response: Mikey is a part of B&J's life. As JR's father there is knid of no avoiding him. We all have crosses to bear in life. Lindsay is atarting out with just short visits at home to see how she copes with real life. I think Jennifer kind of always knows the right thing to say and do. We are all going to wait a little while to see what sex the babies are. I have to tell you my decision was made really without any reader unput. The babies have been in the planning stage for a long time. Just never had the right time to introduce the idea in the first story. Sonny Boy will have to learn the lesson that lots of older siblings do, parenst still love you even when new younger siblings arrive. I will try my best to give you three chapters in April. Author's Response: Thanks for the nice comments. To be honest I do write the story the way I want. I love to hear from the readers and they often give me a good idea for the story. I 100% agree that sometimes you love people but you don't like how they act. I always think that Brian and Michael are more like brothers than friends. They leaned on each other when they were younger and have lots of history but one of them has become an adult and the other not so much!!
