I really liked this story. I'm happy to have read it. I love happy ends. And Brian and Justin deserve to be happy.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I absolutely agree, Brian and Justin do deserve to be happy, and happy endings are something I live for.

The characterizations in this story of the queer as folk family were amazing. You had the mannerism/speech/gesutures down pat, especially with Emmett and the way you wrote about the new relationshp between Brian and Michael- was just so spot on. I also enjoyed Brian and Justin's conversation outside the loft and at Justin's place. I thought it was very real and honest. I wish more fanfics had real discussions like that where Brian and Justin are just really laying it out finally.

I wish there would have been more ownership of Justin's faults in their relationships because he definitely had them in the series. I understand that you're story is slightly different than canon, but Brian made a good point when he said:

"You're delusional," Brian said hoarsely. "If you think I'm going to go through all this bullshit over and over again..."

I wish this would've been a center point in their discussion either at the loft or Justin's place because he does run away and it's not okay.

Anyways, you did a remarkable job telling this story! I enjoyed it so much. I'm so so happy that I took the time to read this. It's definitely going down as one of my favorites.

Author's Response:

Thank you for this kind of unusual, thoughtful review, Olivia! You make me blush. I really hoped I would be able to show the family dynamics, I tried to hear their voices when I started writing. Emmett's so bright and loud, he's probably the easiest to write, his presence is overwhelming, while Brian and Justin are pretty difficult.

I have a very soft spot for Justin, so it's probably obvious in my works - I can explain the majority of his actions. Though I'm angry with him for going to NY so easily in 513, for letting Brian push him away, so I made this story post 507 in hopes not to deal with something that makes so furious. I don't doubt Brian and Justin will find a way to each other, always, but Christ, they can be so stubborn! Both of them.

Thank you again, I'm so happy you liked this story!

Hi Katrin, your story is beautifully done and perfect, it is uplifting at the same time.. because I always believed that Justin would come back and make everything right for once and all. Your story potrayed my sentiments that they will definitely have a beautiful reunion, Justin left Brian not because they stopped loving each other, it's because Justin thinks  he needs to see the world before finally be with his man he loves, Brian also wants Justin to do that. and how many bumps that they had to overcome when they were togeter pre-Justin's departure to New York? it's alot , and being together for them is only right and natural thing to do. your story is catching every single glimpse of emotional rollcoaster about them.

thank you for sharing your talents!

Author's Response:

Hi, Dony - thank you for your amazing words! Like you, I always believed Justin would come back. Brian and Justin never stopped loving each other, I doubt they ever could, considering what they lived through, what unites them. Their connection is unique and special, it can't be severed no matter what. Not Ethan, not New York, not LA ever stood a chance. The love between Brian and Justin is so powerful that I honestly believe it could conquer anything.

Thank you again, I'm so glad you liked the story!

Hi! I re-read this beautiful story once again and enjoyed it even more than before.

I loved interaction between Brian and Debbie - it was so in-canon! And Emmett with his 'colorful' ideas was hilarious. You created a great Christmas atmoshpere, even though at the beginning things were not so good for our boys.

I should admit I got a little scared when the first conversation didn't work out. I knew that it was rather difficult for them to make up and find a decision but still... It was really heartbreaking to see them like this, especially Brian with his overwhelming fear to lose Justin once again. That made him so powerless and desperate that his further actions seemed like a miracle in some way. He could shut down. He could wait for Justin to do something about their issues. He could destroy everything completely. But he didn't. Eventually he found a way. He managed to get a hold of himself and let his love lead him, which saved them both.

As for Justin, I just loved him here! My favourite moment is when he would make Brian talk to him by forbidding him other ways of communication :) It was so familiar!

And the ending is great as well. I liked how Brian warmed up to the Christmas tree :) It's always a pleasure to see how Justin makes him like that.

Thank you once again for this wonderful piece!

Hugs

Author's Response:

Hi, Vlada! Thank you so much for another wonderful comment of yours, it took me by surprise considering you've already left your opinion once. I can't tell you how much it means to me - especially coming from you.

Most of all I'm glad that the story seemed canon enough, it's always difficult to show characters as they were desribed in the show. Brian and Justin's biggest problem was always talking, so I wanted to try and show what would happen if there was no other way to communicate. They both grew up, it was time to discuss what hadn't worked between them if they wanted to have another chance.

Thank you so much for such a lovely review, I'm happy you enjoyed the story!

I really enjoyed this! I liked Brian's vulnerability. It was quite believable and true to character and it made me really feel for him. The romantic end was a lovely touch :)

xoxo

Author's Response:

Thank you, I'm so glad you liked this! And I'm a hopeless romantic... and can't live without HEA :)

FINALLY Brian told Justin what he wanted. The poor guy has had his heart bruised from Justin leaving him before, so I am not surprised he never thought he'd see him again. This was really lovely.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for commenting! I think Brian is a real pessimist, he never believed there was a chance of keeping Justin. From the beginning he was sure he would get left. My heart breaks every time I see it, but I want to hope that after S5 nothing major would stand in our boys' way.

Thanks again!

Really enjoyed this story.  Thanks for sharing with us addicts! More stories, please!

Author's Response:

Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed this! I can never get enough of Brian and Justin stories. I'm not sure when I'm going to write something else, I'm more focused on writing originals now, but Brian and Justin are the biggest sourse of my inspiration, I'm hopelessly and forever addicted :D

Very sweet story!  Really enjoyed it!

Author's Response:

Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it :) I rarely write stories that fit could-be-canon category, but this time I had to since it was a challenge. I don't regret it, I had fun writing it and I'm happy people find it realistic - more or less at least :) Thanks!

it took a lot of time but the boys might make it this time. Justin is no longer the follower in their relationship he is a equal this demonstrates to Brian he cannot continue his pushing away behaviour. Justin being away has made them stronger

Author's Response:

I agree with you, Justin grew up a lot, he's not a boy any longer, he is a rightful partner of Brian. Maybe there will be a point when he'll have to get away from Brian for a while, but I'm sure he will always come back, and every separation will only make them stronger.

Thank you for commenting, it means a lot to me!

You had me worried, I didn't think Brian would admit what he wanted but he admitted enough to get his man back, and hopefully time and their continued love for each other will finally allow him to accept a full relationship. You give me hope:-)

Author's Response:

Thank you for your wonderful comment! I firmly believe Brian will accept full relationship sooner or later - I think by this time he's cautiously ready to fight for Justin himself, not just let Justin fight for him all the time. Their relationship is beautiful and I have no doubts they will be happy.

Thank you!

Hi Katrin!

I was so happy to see a new story from you and as always, I just love your work.

I loved the sentence explaining that Brian had offered his loft to organise Justin's party so that no one would think he came to the party specifically to see Justin. I could totally see him acting like that.

The whole story is full of emotions and so well written. I love how you write about them, and about their love story.

Thank you again Katrin!

Author's Response:

Hi, Alois, thanks so much for commenting, I love hearing from you!

I think Brian came up with countless plans and schemes to get what he wanted and at the same time to make sure no one else knew just how much he wanted that :D That's why we love him so much. It's a good thing Justin can see right through him by now.

Thank you again, I'm glad you liked this story!

this was fantastic... LOVED how Brian finally thought about a future.  So in character, I wish this could have happened on screen for us to see!

thank you.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your comment! I always thought that by the year 5 with Justin it was time for Brian to mature - and he did, but his fear and his loved people's lives changing drastically made him fight the progress he's made. But I believe the loss of Justin would make him rethink his own life sooner or later - I'm sure they'd have ended up together anyway, with or without bombing.

Thank you again, I'm happy you liked this story!

I can see this playing out in the series.  I'm glad that Brian finally said what he wanted and best of all he got what he wanted.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I was always interested in ways for Brian and Justin to reunite after 507, so I'm glad you found this version more or less believable. And of course I can only see the boys ending up together, now or years later - but always together.

Thanks for commenting!

I read your review for The king's will, you said you want to write a historical au. Is there any chance we can read this story?cause I'm a big fan for historical story

Author's Response:

Hi, Jessica :) I've been planning my historical AU story for a long time. Now my plans changed a little - I'm going to publish it directly as an original, not as fanfiction. However, I could send you and anyone who's interested chapter by chapter of this story privately - as those chapters get written. The main characters *are* inspired by Brian and Justin, but they will have different names and as AU goes, different personalities - mainly there is a Dark!Brian warning. You can change the names however you see fit though. If you are interested, let me know - just contact me at sddd39@yandex.ru
