Rather hypocritical for Brian to say that he is usually the source of Justin's pain and then criticise Ethan for hurting Justin. But then Brian is usually inconsistent. That being said, I don't feel your Brian sounds in character- during Season Three we never heard him say things like "my Sunshine". I think there could have been some "show, don't tell" which would have complimented Brian's trend for self-denial.

Author's Response: Hmmm... Hypocritical, or just written in an Alternative Universe? Very Rarely do I write in cannon. But you're right Brian isn't very often consistent in his emotions, often saying one thing while acting in another way... Later ~ Kathleen

Really captures Brian's feelings. I think he sometimes felt like he didn't deserve Justin's love. Short story but filled with meaning (at least to me). Bill

Heartbreaking, isn't it? Early S3 sure was tough to watch, especially watching Brian's (Gale's) face when he saw Justin with Ethan.
