I really enjoy pet!fics and humorous stories which is why the Tricky stories are my favorites of all your works. Even though I knew Brian would give in and let Justin adopt Xena his concerns were certainly valid since adopting a dog or cat can be a fifteen or twenty year commitment.
I hope whoever will be looking over Tricky and Xena during the wedding will be doing so at a completely different location otherwise I can see them getting loose and creating havoc like in the pilot of the Brady Bunch series where the dog knocked over people and tables including the one with the wedding cake.

Author's Response:

Hi, Rixa! I'm delighted that you have enjoyed the Tricky adventures, and that you are enjoying this story. Thanks for letting me know that, and for the support.  I have a feeling you're right about the dogsitter, but even before the wedding I see unexpected trouble looming.;)  I'll probably have the next part up sometime tomorrow.

Thanks again for reading, and especially for the feedback! I really appreciate that. *Hugs* ~Kim

Fun chapter.  Can't wait to see all the trouble Tricky and Xena can get up to together.  Love this story.  Bill

Author's Response:

Hi, Bill! Still good to see you reading along (in between writing your own story, which I need to catch up on myself).  And I'm happy that you're enjoying the latest Tricky adventure; this time with his very own accomplice.;)  I should have the next part up soon; working longer hours, which is drastically cutting into my spare time - ugh.

Thanks for all the support! And congrats on reaching your goal! With 85 chapters and no apparent end in sight, I'm sure there will be many more to come. *Hugs* ~Kim

This chapter was hilarious, especially when Brian was hiding behind the shield to guard against Tricky, not that it worked! LOL!!! Oh boy, it's going to be mayhem!! :D

Author's Response:

Hi, Lavender! So happy that you enjoyed the beginning of the mayhem!  With Tricky, that comes naturally, and now he's about to correct his daughter, too.;) Poor Brian, trying to defend himself to no avail - ha!  I'm so glad you're enjoying this story. Thank you for reading, and for the comments! *Hugs* ~Kim

I don't see how they're going to keep Tricky out of the wedding. I can't wait to see how this plays out.

S:)

Author's Response:

Let's just say the wedding will not go off without some hitches in it, to be sure.;)  Stay tuned; you will soon find out. Thanks for the comments! *Hugs* ~Kim

"Brian, I have to tell you something..."

I think Justin was rigtht in that Brian would also have given in to Gus and I do like that Justin used Emmett's tactic to tell Brian.

Good chapter!

S:)

Author's Response:

LOL!  I do, too.  Not sure if Emmett was right in suggesting it, but with Brian you can always distract him that way, especially with a certain, beautiful blond (Justin, not Tricky - ha!).  I'm happy that you are enjoying this story, and I am grateful that you took the time to comment. Thank you for choosing to read this one! I should hopefully have the next part up later this evening. *Hugs* ~Kim

This is such a feel good story.  I love the antics with Tricky, Gus, Xena and the gang.  Brian's reaction to the dogs crack me up!

Author's Response:

Hi, Larka! I'm so glad that you're enjoying this story! Brian doesn't quite know what to do with either dog, but I think he realizes that his two boys and the dogs come as a package deal, so he's kind of stuck with them.;)  There's more chaos coming, some in ways that neither man will ever envision. But boy, will I have some fun with them - ha!  Thanks for reading this story, and for the encouragement; it really does motivate me. *Hugs* ~Kim

Hello. My name is Logan and I am a listener. Lindc said it would be ok to review this story. I have never done this so bear with me. This is a smart, clever and funny story. I can feel for Brian as I have gotten a Black Lab puppy and he is a handful. He has so much energy he wears me out. I named him Taylor. Lindc asked me if it has to do with QAF, but no I just like the name. We will be on deck for the next chapters as we all enjoy this story. At last count there were twelve of us. by 4 now Logan

Author's Response:

Hi, Logan!  How sweet you are to want to leave me feedback about this story! I'm delighted to read your comments, and I'm thrilled that you've been enjoying it.  You're very kind to let me know, and I hope you continue to enjoy it.  BTW, if you haven't read the other Tricky stories, I hope you will check them out. He gets into a LOT of trouble - ha!

I do love labs - I have had two lab mixes before, and they are such lovable dogs.  I think it's hilarious that you named your puppy Taylor. What a coincidence!  I had to give an assessment test tonight to one of our students in welding named...Justin Taylor! Hard to keep a straight face when I see him, but he looks nothing like this one.;p

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, Logan! Hope to hear from you again. And thanks for being part of the peep listeners! ~Kim

The day of reckoning is near and Brian wouldn't have it any other way.  I'm just worried about whose stomach those steaks are going to end up in.

Author's Response:

Ha!  Surely you don't think that Tricky would take those steaks off the grill, do you?;)  Actually, wish I had thought of that, but I think the steaks at least will be safe.p) More mayhem coming, though! Thank you for reading this latest chapter, and for all the feedback; it is much appreciated. *Hugs* ~Kim

Lol...I see Tricky hasn't mellowed one bit. It will only be a matter of time before father and daughter cause some real mayhem ;)

Author's Response:

Hi Tamara!  No, you're right; when it comes to Tricky, at least, and seeing Brian, he still can't control himself. And I'm not sure how much of a good influence Tricky will be on his daughter, although something tells me that Xena can hold his own.;) So glad to see you reading this one, and enjoying it. Thanks for the support, and for letting me know. *Hugs* ~Kim

What a hoot--laughed my a-- off. Listeners will love this one. The wedding is going to be a riot, I just know it. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc!  So happy that you're enjoying this. I think I needed a little lighter fare to offset some of the angst, although I AM working on the update to "Heart's Desire," so tell Lee that I haven't forgotten him.  And yes, there will definitely be some twists and turns for the wedding; of course!:) Thanks so much for always being so supportive; I will have the next part up very soon. *Hugs* ~Kim

Loving this but here is a piece of info to get you to change your dog food brand is made by purina and that is owned by nestle and nestle is owned by the koch brothers i buy nothing they make for obvious reasons

Author's Response:

I'm normally well-read, but I admit I am not familiar with the Koch Brothers. The dog chow was meant more generically, rather than an actual brand.  But I am glad that you are enjoying this story despite that. Thanks for continuing to leave feedback; I should have the next part up hopefully tomorrow. Thanks again for the support. ~Kim

So my day at the office so far has been absolute shit! My boss is driving me nuts and has been all week. This was a welcome repreive even if it was only 30 min into my work day.

I was literally laughing out loud at Tricky's greeting of brian! The whole  armour and shield part was hysterical! How the hell did you think that up? All I need to do now for the rest of the day is think of that scene and I'll be grinning like a fool. thank you for that!!

The start of the birds and the bees chat was fun too. Always an interesting time for parents.

The next few days with everyone around could prove to be very..........interesting to say the least. Looking forward t omore giggles ahead.

Thank you for brightening my morning. It was desparately needed!!

Author's Response:

Hi, Elaine - I'm sorry your day was so horrible, but I'm glad that this chapter helped at least somewhat to cheer you up.;)  It means a lot to me to know how much you are enjoying the story; thanks for letting me know that.;)  I will have the next part of this madcap adventure up probably tomorrow. I hope your day is better for you then.  Take care. *Hugs* ~Kim

He's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!  What is it about Brian that Tricky loves so much? LOL This is such a fun fic!

Author's Response:

Hi, Shari! Yes...he's back, and he's bad to the bone.;)  Poor Brian!  (hee, hee...).  I'm so happy that you're enjoying this story! Thank you for continuing to read, Shari, and especially for the feedback. I will have the next part either tomorrow or Friday. *Hugs* ~Kim

I think my cousin used to have Tricky's brother... a giant yellow lab, who was the most loveable "bad dog" that I ever met! ;p

Justin may not get his version of a "perfect" wedding, but I'm sure it will be fun-filled. I somehow suspect that Tricky & Xena will not stand for being excluded, LOL!

Author's Response:

Hi, Trish!  I do love labs; you're correct. They are big, they are lumbering, but they are the sweetest, most lovable dogs in the world.;)  And they do like to give affection, especially if you're Tricky, and you're around your idol.;)

As for the wedding, let's just say there will definitely be some ups and downs.  Poor guys!  But I'm going to have a lot of fun with it (hee,hee..).

Thanks so much for continuing to read this one, and for the feedback, Trish!  *Hugs* ~Kim

Kim I hope you are not serious about stop writing. Every story of your is a real treat.

I love them all. Your ability to portray Brian and Justin love is amazing.

Every time I read one of your stories I want more.

This new story is hilarious. I can't stop laughing. I'm so happy Tricky is coming to the wedding. Xena is adorable and will be a real challenge for both of the boys.

Anyway please continue writing and I'll read every word always.

Hugs

Mariana

Author's Response:

Hi, Mariana! I hung onto all of your kind comments. Thank you for continuing to read my stories, and especially for the feedback, letting me know how much you enjoy them. I think in the end that is all that ANY writer is looking for when they write. I know that some do it simply for the love of writing. And while I DO enjoy writing about B and J still - and have a lot more ideas in my head - it helps me more than people probably know, simply just to be told that others enjoy my efforts, so you taking the time to let me know that means the world to me.   I'm going to do my best - I am working 12-hr days sometimes, and have a lot of other things going on in RL, so it takes me a while to update, but I WILL finish my two other stories as soon as I can.  I won't, however, rush them simply to get them done; I think that does a disservice to those readers who have been following them so faithfully.  The only thing I can promise is that I will never leave one unfinished, and I will update just as fast as I humanly can.  I'm working on the next part of "MHD" now, so hopefully that will be up soon.;)  What I do after that, I wil have to think about.  Maybe by then, things won't be so crazy, and with at least one of the two WIPs done, I will have more time to write.

As for this story, yes, the arrival of Tricky will definitely add to the mix of chaos here. He has, shall we say, been missing his 'idol' in the extreme, so whether he's mellowed or not, seeing him will no doubt set off the excitement again, and maybe not in a good way for Brian.  But that's the fun, isn't it? And now he has a cohort in crime, thanks to Justin's decision to add Xena to their household.  She just may outdo her dad in the stunts department, too; only time will tell that.;)

I hope to get Ch. 4 up before I go to work today. I do hope you continue to enjoy it! Thanks again for the support, Mariana; it is deeply appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Justin is so lucky Brian didn't call off the wedding.  Now that would have been a plot twist!  Waiting so long to tell him when they promised no more secrets is a nono.  However, Brian wouldn't have been able to refuse Gus and he realizes that.  Do they have doggy day care in Pittsburgh?  With two dogs in the house, something is going to have to give.  Maybe a bad guy will show up trying to mess up the wedding and it's Tricky and Zena to the rescue?

Author's Response:

Hi, there! I'm so happy to see you reviewing; you are always so great about reading and reviewing.) I'm so happy that you are enjoying this story!  As for Tricky and Xena becoming super heroes...hmmm...they may be too busy creating havoc, but only time will tell.;)

Thank you as always for reading and reviewing; I am most appreciative. Hoping to get the next part up tonight; Hurricane Tricky's about to arrive!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Love the name of the new pup.  But I can see that Justin has his work cut out for him.  I've notice the more you ignore them the better behaved the dog is.  Maybe that would work?  How will Brian react when he finds out who all is coming to the wedding?

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: August 18, 2015 07:35 PM · On: Dogged Determination

Sorry it took me so long.  My daughter and her husband came in from Japan and stayed in the room with my computer, leaving me without a way to read and comment, not to mention no free time.  I can already see that I'm gonna love this story.  Justin comparing the dog to Brian - hilarious.  But then we all knew that it was a foregone conclusion.  Justin gets what Justin wants.

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: August 18, 2015 06:34 PM · On: Cake...and Beefcake

This is going to be exciting to see "the wooly mammoth" and off spring together-who knows he may just be nice and father her. Ha! I am afraid the wedding is going to havve t's ups and downs-can just see it now-both of them running down the aisle and interrupting all the goings-on sitter, my foot, something is going to happen--the listeners have bets on what??? so funny. will let you know how this plays out-depending on how you play it out. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc! Yes, I don't think Tricky is going to be a good influence on his daughter, but then what would be the fun in that? Ha!  The chaos will be starting in the next chapter, although I think Xena is a troublemaker in a different way than Tricky. But who knows what may change after the daughter has a chance to see her famous father in action?

And you don't think the sitter will be effective?  LOL!  Well, you may just be right about that.;)  I thiink it's great that you're placing bets on what's going to happen.  Let me know if anyone figures it out!  Thanks as always for the support and encouragement, Lindc.  Tell all the peeps I said hello, and said my best.;)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

So good!  I am so impressed with Brian and his acceptance of whatever Justin and Gus desire.  His love for them is so strong.  It seems Justin bit off more than he could chew trying to train Xena.  I can't wait for the bedlam once Tricky arrives and meets up with his daughter.  Briton will never be the same, and Brian will go off the deep end.

Author's Response:

Hi, there! Thank you for choosing to read this story, and especially for taking the time to comment.:)  Yes, Brian is definitely a man in love with his partner AND his son.;)  I always loved how tender he seemed with Gus on the show, and I try to carry that over in my stories whenever Gus is involved.  I'm so delighted that you are enjoying it.

And yes, "Hurricane Tricky" is about to arrive, and things will definitely ramp up in the crazy department!  I'm hoping to get Ch. 4 posted tonight; if not then, tomorrow.  So glad you are enjoying this story! Thanks again for taking the time to leave feedback. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Honestly, I don't like pets… So I'm not fan of stories about dogs. But, anyways, I'm reading your story with pleasure because it's a Brian & Justin fic… and I'm looking forward to see how you imagine their wedding !! Thanks Kim!

Author's Response:

Hi, there!  I appreciate you giving this story a try, even though pets are not your favorites.  I hope you do enjoy it nonetheless.  At least you had some B and J smut in this chapter.;)

I'm completely sympathetic to Brian's situation! (My cat sounds like he's as much of a problem as Xena is) Sounds like this new pup is going to be a challenge for quite some time!!

AS for Tricky making another appearance. Glad I get to just read about it and not experience it!! LOL! You know it's going to  be hilarious! (Of course, as Brian said, we all know he'd give into Gus as well....) His level of patice is definitely going to be seted! Looking forward to the wedding! sounds like it's going to be..........memorable to say the least!

Thanks. terrific update to a great fic. Love this seies!!

Cheers,

Elaine

Author's Response:

Hi, Elaine - you're so kind to read and especially review. Thank you for your support, and for the feedback. And you are right; two versions of Tricky will just make for more mayhem, and in this case I think Xena just might surpass her father in the mischief department.;)  I should have Ch. 4 up by tomorrow; I hope you continue to enjoy it. Author's Response:

Hi, Elly!  You are right; Hurricane Tricky will be blowing in in the next chapter.  And he hasn't really changed too much; if he was too obedient, there wouldn't be any fun in that!:P

Well, that was fun. I'm still laughing. Xena and Tricky together - hmmmm - going to be fun....NOT. Good idea getting a dog sitter. Brian so loves Justin. Oh, and I want some raspberry-chocolate cheesecake - although a virtual cake is the only one that will fit into my diet........

Author's Response:

Hi, Monica! Thank you for reading this latest chapter, and especially for the feedback! You know how much I appreciate that;)  Yes, the mayhem is about to ensue; Tricky and Gus, along with the Munchers, will show up in the next part, with the appropriate chaos resulting.  But we wouldn' have it any other way, right?

OK Pep talk over: Thoughts on the story

Cute as always, an unusual idea adding yet another dog into the mix. Love that you called the dog Xena. (I have recently been getting re-aquainted with the show) Lovin the pics and the dog bed/couch. Never seen anything like that.

Looking forward to what happens when Tricky and Xena meet. Something tells me, Britin's going to get a whole lot louder.....

Reviewer: Bryton4ever71 (Signed) · Date: August 16, 2015 11:50 PM · On: Dogged Determination

Not enough reviews???? Doubting your writing ability??? Are you serious???? Or just seriously loco?

First.......Don't EVER doubt your ability. Like...EVER. Period.

As for reviews, well...there's always a steep difference in the readership and the reviews. You just have to take it in stride. But you get HUNDREDS of reviews per story. Let's say that again. HUNDREDS.  per story It makes me jealous just thinking of it. My record for review is 138 and the Little Merman while readership keeps going remains at ....59. That s the best thing I ever wrote ...and....59. So...yeah.

Lastly, fanfic should not be about the adoration or reviews or whatever. It's fiction to keeping our fanship of QAF alive despite the show regrettably ending before its time. There's another author....somewhere on this site, his name has slipped my mind right now..... who has purposely extended his story to reach 1000 reviews to satisfy a confessed ego trip. This is ridiculous.

If you need to take a break or even write something else, go ahead but for the Love of Spongebob and all things squooshy, don't stop because you think you're not good enough. I might be takin a break soon as well and I m for sure slowing down

We all love ya Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Jon! You're very sweet. Thank you for the pep talk.;)  Not sure about 'hundreds' of reviews; if I do get that many, it's normally due to the longer stories I tend to write.;)  I treasure each and every review that I get, don't get me wrong. And while I agree that fan fiction should not be all about reviews, I still need that validation that what I'm writing continues to be interesting to readers.  I know I can write well as far as punctuation, spelling, and grammar goes, but is WHAT I'm writing still enjoyable and read-worthy? That is why I need the feedback.  That's just me; I can't speak for other writers. It's more difficult for me to keep updating as quickly as some others do on a more regular basis due to everything I have going on at the moment, but I hope readers will bear with me as I work through the stories.  Once I get done with the two WIPs, I haven't decided what I will do.  I would love to keep writing these, if others are interested. But time will tell, I suppose.

Thank you for always being so supportive, Jon. And after your slow down, I do hope you will return back to the site to write some more. It would not be the same without your quirky sense of humor in your stories, and the unique way only you can write them! *Hugs* ~Kim

LOL!! Hopefully the dog sitter (maybe two!) will help keep the dog situation handled. There is also doggy daycare. Well, at least Brian has calmed down now! :D

Author's Response:

Hi, Lavender!  Well, I'm not sure that ANY dog sitter, competent or not, is a match for THESE two, but time will soon tell.;)  Justin, at least, knows how to soothe the savage beast (Brian, I mean - LOL!).

I knew it would be too much to ask for that Justin's puppy be well behaved, it is Tricky's offspring after all!  But I have faith that Justin will be able to train Xena, oh, it will take a lot of time, patience and I'm sure blowjobs to calm Brian, but Justinis up to the task! I was just surprised at Brian's queen out over designer dog furniture!! I would think that would fit right in his style!  Thanks! 😋

Author's Response:

Hi, Melinda! Yeah, an obedient puppy just wouldn't do in this story - ha!  You may have a point about the designer furniture; I would think Brian would be much more comfortable with that than some cheesy model, but perhaps it was the opulence of the thing for a dog that got him all riled up.

I have a suspicion that things might get a little more crazy before they start to get better, but to me that's part of the fun.;) Thanks so much for continuing to read, and especially for the feedback, Melinda! I greatly appreciate that. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hey Kim, just wanted to tell you friends introduce me to some of their friends and one was named "Lane" lol I just wanted you to now right off the back I didn't like him, nope not one bit. ;)

Author's Response:

LOL! Poor guy! And has no idea why you already dislike him - ha!  That's funny!  Thank you for reading that series; I enjoyed writing it, even though at times it was about quite serious subject matter. Thanks for letting me know.;)  *Hugs* ~Kim

Love the dog bed, it's gorgeous. Cute puppy, she matches the bed. I really hope that Justin can get this one trained so that Brian doesn't freak out about her.

I just love Emmett and his comments. Great chapter.

Author's Response:

Hi again, Lorie!  I like the name for the puppy; no 'spot' or 'cocoa' or normal name for THIS one. Glad you liked the bed, and enjoyed this chapter! I just posted Ch. 3. I hope you continue to enjoy it. Thank you, also for the feedback; it's most appreciated. *Hugs* ~Kim

Came across this story when I checked recent stories. Happy to see it is part of a series so got started on Tricky Universe - great stories, I love them, really enjoyable and can't wait to read more. Have read them all back to back and now that I am caught up will go and review them all. Keep up the good work -please:-)

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you've been enjoying all the Tricky stories! Thanks for letting me know. I love that big guy!  And I think Brian does, too, in his own way, but he DOES try his patience. He will be doing that again coming up, BTW. Thanks fo reading this story, and for the feedback. I am very grateful, and I hope you continue to enjoy it.  *Hugs* ~Kim

Very sweet and hilarious. Love the way Justin gets what he wants. Brian is such a softy when it comes to the one he loves more than life itself.

Please don't stop writing, your stories are wonderful and so full of life.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lorie!  I am woefully behind on answering reviews; I normally get to them quicker than this, but it's been extremely busy for me this past week. First of all, thank you for your kind words about my writing; that really touches me, and lets me know if others are still enjoying what I write.  It means so much to me.:)

As for the story, yeah, Brian huffs and puffs a lot, but in the end he's pretty much powerless to say no to his two favorite boys.;)  In the upcoming chapters, he will have to do a lot of that.;)

Thanks for reading this story, and especially for the feedback, Lorie! Much appreciated. *Hugs* ~Kim

So happy you are doing another story with Tricky, the little Xena. I hope Tricky is better behaved, not perfect of course. If Brian had gone next door he wouldn't have the dog go the pound either, such a softy. I hope Brian remembers how Tricky saved Gus and Justin also. I loved the dog bed! Can't wait for more chapters.

Author's Response:

Hello, there!  I do think Tricky might be a little more calm, although his exuberance at seeing Brian will make him digress a little.;)  I tend to agree with you about Brian giving in if he found out the puppy's fate.;)  That IS some dog bed, isn't it? I think I would be happy with it myself!

I'm delighted that you are glad to read about Tricky again! Thank you so much for reading, and especially for the comments! That means a lot to me. *Hugs*  ~Kim

"My, what bad taste you have."

LOL, I love that entire exchange between Brian and Emmett.

It looks like Xena is going to be more of a handful than Cujo. I can't wait to see Xena at the wedding.

I'm glad you wrote more in this universe.

:)

Author's Response:

Hi, there!  I couldn't help putting a little banter in there between Brian and Emmett; I enjoy writing about them. We all know they're actually friends, despite the insults.;)  As for Xena, well, let's just say that the apple doesn't fall from the tree - ha!

Thank you so much for reading and especially reviewing; I am very grateful.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

"You took food over to that canine slut's owner?"

I loved Brian's comments in this chapter. His love hate of Tricky and his progeny was as entertaining as always.  Even though Justin's persuasive tactics were eye opening for Brian, it was the the reminder of how Cujo/Tricky saved Justin and Gus' lives that did the trick. I could see that be the trump card only used when nothing else worked. Brian held out pretty well.

I hate to hear about you or any other devoted writer giving up. I don't know about about any other reader, but as I have have gotten up in years, so has my family and helath issues are escalating. I wonder if that is the case for other readers - an aging population. Nevertheless, I have always admired any writer who has taken the time out of their busy lives to provide some much needed relief and distraction from some of the drudgery or disappointment of RL. Again, I believe you were the first author I read in this fandom and you are one of the reasons I am still here today reading when I should be working on a resume`, lol.

As far as leaving reviews anonymously, I have tried several times to re-register after forgetting my password and I received no response. I took that as a sign. I needed to prioritize. I still read but not as timely as before or as I would like or as consistently. But I can't see myself ever leaving the QAF world, completely.

Sandra :)

PS: I keep forgetting to change the font size so there are probably more errors than norm.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandra! I was delighted to hear from you.   I know you have been one of my most loyal followers pretty much since the beginning, and I really appreciate that.  To say that I am busy is an understatement. Sigh...I was at work last night until 8:00 p.m., and have two more late nights next week.  I won't get into everything that I have to do, but suffice to say that it keeps me just this shy of tearing what little hair I have left completely out - ha!

You may be right about the lack of responses, but I still get easily discouraged when I don't receive very many, and it always makes me wonder if the interest in them is waning. The readers who have taken time to leave comments on this story, though, have lifted my sprits somewhat. I stil have precious little time, and still am not sure how long I can keep writing and taking care of so many other things, but I will see once I get my two WIPs done.

Thank you again for all the support.  *Hugs* ~Kim

Ah, the challenges of puppyhood... I remember them well! I had a Lab/mix myself many years ago, and as much of handful as she was as a puppy, she was aboslutely one of the sweetest dogs I ever knew. I think Justin, and Brian will see that in Xena... eventually.

Nice update...  looking forward to Tricky's arrival, probably just as much as Justin is dreading it, LOL!

Author's Response:

Hi, Trish! I couldn't agree with you more about labs; they remain puppies for a long time, but they are such sweet and loving dogs.  And yes, the arrival of father being reunited with his daughter could spell mayhem.;)

Happy that you're enjoying this story, Trish! Thanks for reading, and for your comments.  BTW, guess you noticed that Randy's in a play at P-town on 9/27. I think that's the same day as Justin Sayre's Meeting Tribute to Whitney Houston at Joe's Pub. Was hoping Randy would be participating, but looks like it's not going to happen. Darn!

Thanks again, Trish. Will try to get Ch. 3 up tomorrow night. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Cute, cute. cute chapter. The listeners are eating this one up. Worked a doublen so they got both chapters. This Xena is going to be a force to reckon with. This wedding is going to be fun I expect. Things will not go as planned. Can't wait to see what happens. The listeners love th Tricky stories as do we all.

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc! I'm thrilled that your peeps are enjoying this one. You know how much I enjoy tormenting Brian with Tricky; now he has TWO of them, with a little bit of Justin's frustration thrown in.  Xena will definitely impact the wedding.;)  And fun, yes; but maybe not for Brian - ha!

Thank you as always for your kindness and support.  Lee left me a very sweet note; he is such a nice man.  I feel very honored that you have read my stories for so long, and still continue to enjoy them. I'll try to get Ch. 3 up tomorrow - had to work 12 hrs today. Ugh!  Sending my love your way to you, Lee, and the peeps. *Hugs* ~Kim

Justin definitely has a big challenge ahead of him with little Xena.

Author's Response:

Hi,Shari!  Thank you for continuing to read this story, and for your comments. I appreciate your support and thoughtfulness in leaving me your thoughts.

And yes, Xena may well turn out to be as incorrigible as Tricky. She will definitely be impacting the wedding in a way they will never anticipate.

Thanks for reading!  Hope you continue to enjoy it. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Ah...so this is one of those occasions where Brian might have actually been right. Justin definitely has his work cut out for him with little Xena, let's hope that she'll be more subdued before the wedding lol.

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara - yeah, I think Justin is more optimistic here than he should be. Just like with Tricky, Xena means well, but is a very overeager puppy and quite curious; that curiosity may well get her into a sticky situation that will impact the wedding, and not in a good way.;)

Thank you for reading this second chapter, my friend, and for the comments! I'm very grateful. *Hugs* ~Kim

Last few days I read all your Tricky stories, I really enjoyed. So touchingly how Tricky and Gus stay with Justin and Brian on Britin.

"I Doo, Doo" again a beautiful beginning of a new story, I'm so excited how it will deal with little puppy Xena and Tricky together, looking forward to a new chapter.

Kim, can't wait to start reading your two other stories, when you finish them. Greetings Elly. xx

Author's Response:

Hi, Elly! So happy to hear from you; you're always so kind.;)  Thank you for reading this chapter, and for your comments. I'm glad that you have enjoyed all the Tricky stories. I do love writing about him and poor Brian.;)

I should hopefully get Ch. 3 up tomorrow; had to work 12 hours today, and I'm pretty tired.  So happy that you're enjoying this, though, Elly! Thanks so much for your feedback. *Hugs* ~Kim

I have so many scenarios in my head right now! How this new addition is going to challenge Brian's patience. HAHHA Is going to be a hoot. Especially wiht the wedding soon approaching. I can't wait. As soon as Justin claims that neither will be near their wedding that...the "dum dum dum dum...DUM" tune went off in my head.

Xena is definitely going to be an interesting new member of the family.

Author's Response:

Hi, Elaine!  Well, I can tell you that Xena's about to do something that Tricky had never thought of, and it will NOT go over well with a certain brunet.;) But that's part of the fun (hee, hee)...  And you're right; Justin has NO idea...ha! Thanks so much for reading, and especially for the feedback! That really helps to keep me motivated. I'll try to get Ch. 3 up tomorrow. *Hugs ~Kim

boy Justin sure is going to have to pull out all the stops for this one. Between Gus bringing his dog and Xena getting bigger each day Justin sure is in a lot of trouble. I cannot wait to see it all played out!! Cannot wait to read more😄😄😄😄

Author's Response:

Hi, Ro! Thank you for reading this chapter, and for taking the time to leave your thoughts.;)  Yeah, I think between Tricky's return, and his rambunctious offspring, both Justin AND Brian will certainly be in for a challenge. So happy you're enjoying it! I'll try to get Ch. 3 up tomorrow. Had to work 12 hours today (ugh), so depends upon whether I can get the spacing/formatting done when I get home tomorrow. Oh dear I can see tears on the horizon! Tricky and Zena do not make for a peaceful time for anyone let alone Brian!

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris!  Yes, you know that anytime Tricky (and now his offspring) is involved, things can get both crazy and bittersweet. I see both in this one coming up.  Thank you as always for all your encouragement, my friend. I will have the 3rd part up hopefully tomorrow (crazy work schedule notwithstanding!).  *Hugs* ~Kim

Can't wait for your next chapter! Eager to see her and Tricky together LOL

Author's Response:

Hello, dear friend!  Yes, I think Xena + Tricky = potential disaster! But that's half the fun, isn't it?:P

And you know Brian - he's always all bluster and protestation, but somehow he still manages to be suckered into liking the pooches, however reluctantly. And he can never say no to either one of his boys.;)  So glad you're enjoying this.  Will have the next part up probably tomorrow. *Hugs* ~Kim

as the owner of a large golden retriever all I can say is look out puppydoom for retrievers lasts about 6 years and they only listen when they want to. But you love them for all their lumbering sweetness. Mine will be 9 soon he still has moments where that puppy comes out and I love every single moment of it. I suggest you find some way for Brian to learn how much Labs of any sort drool it's like a teething baby to the extreme. I actually loved puppy teeth I know most don't and I still have some of this dogs teeth. I forgot to grab a few when my first dog was losing his. Crate training might make it so Justin actually gets to marry just a suggestion

Author's Response:

Hi, there! Thank you for continuing to read, and for your comments.;)  I've had two black lab mix dogs before, and I just love them.  They have such sweet dispositions, don't they? And yes, their perpetual 'puppiness' is one of the things I love about them. My last one LOVED anything with water; didn't matter what it was, even a stinky ditch. If there was water, it was like a magnet to her!  I do love labs and retrievers. Wonderful dogs.

Thank you, too, for all the suggestions! I pretty much have the story all written, but there's always room for some slight editing.;)  I hope you continue to enjoy this lighthearted fun.;)  Will have Ch. 3 up probably tomorrow sometime.  *Hugs* ~Kim

I love Xena. As a 13 year old at 5'7", with fully adult body and with classmates barely coming to my shoulder I always felt large and ugly even though I was the correct weight for my height. Being called Mox the Ox by those classmates didn't help either. When Xena first appeared on TV with her height, strong body and 'attitude' (not to mention beauty....) it was the first time I felt it was okay to be taller and stronger than everyone else (although the classmates eventually caught up - well some of them anyway) Such a great name to give the puppy....poor poor Brian. Justin definitely has his work cut out for him.......LOL

Author's Response:

Hi, Monica! Thanks for continuing to read this, and especially for leaving feedback for me! I'm glad you liked the name. I knew I didn't want some typical name, or one that was on the submissive side. Not for OUR pooch!  And yes, I suspect the 'fun' is just beginning. ;)  Poor Brian, indeed.  But it's going to be such fun to torment him again - ha!

I will have Ch. 3 up probably tomorrow evening - have to work late tonight. Thank you again for the support and the encouragement, Monica. I appreciate that so much. *Hugs* ~Kim

I'm so excited about a new story in the Tricky universe!! The wedding is coming up, and Justin only wants a puppy! LOLOL So Brian finally caved, was there any question that he would eventually? Justin finally resorted to emotional manipulation to convince him, ha! Puppies are soooooo cute, and I have a feeling that Brian won't be able to stay stoic in the face of all that puppy love and big eyes. :D We'll see how well trained he is now! I hope many traders comment to keep the feedback coming in. It's always nice to know if a story is appreciated, and writing is not easy. Big hugs and kudos to you; I always love your stories!

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  Yeah, great time on Justin's part to want a puppy before the wedding.;)  Something tells me that Xena and weddings - and Tricky in the mix - is not going to make for a smooth ceremony, but would we have it any other way?  LOL! and pls don't stop writing, I would be really sad because you one of people on this fandom who can write Brian and Justin like crazy in love with one to another and the whole readers can feel their love and passion, and you have this easy way to describe and actualize them into words. I also do really hope that RL will alow you to write more and more, thank you Kim!

Author's Response:

Thank you, Tanya - you are very considerate to do that.  Yes, Justin's not-so-subtle hints, along with some other types of persuasion, did the trick here (pardon the pun!).  Poor Brian's abouit to find out what it's like to have two mischief makers in the house, and the results are not going to be pleasant! This is going to be a true test of just how devoted a certain brunet is to his partner!

Author's Response:

My dear Lee - you are such a sweet man! I don't know what I did to deserve yours and Lindc's support - along with all the peeps - but whatever it was, I will always be grateful.  What a kind person you are, and your words mean the world to me. I can't think of a greater compliment than to have someone tell me they read my stories to escape from the stress of the world. I think in a way that is why I write them, b/c for just a little while I can be somewhere else and be someone else.

All the wonderful comments have really lifted my spirits, and while things will continue to be extremely hectic, you know I won't abandon my two stories in addition to this one, which will be fairly short.  I have many stories I still want to write. It would take me a while with my present schedule, but hopefully I'll have a chance to recharge my batteries somehow once they are done and I can write a new one then.

I will do my best. It really helps more than people know, just to have them tell me they are still enjoying reading these.

As for this particular story, things will start to get pretty hectic soon, once the girls, Gus, and especially Tricky arrive. Of course, Gus will be thrilled to have two dogs around! Brian, no so much...ha!  And let's just say that the puppy may just be a chip off the old block in the mischief department.;)

You are such a sweetheart, Lee, and I feel lucky to have you, lindc, and the peeps as my faithful readers. That - along with your support and friendship - mean more than you will ever know, Thank you for taking the time to jot down your feelings.  Let's see how it goes.;)  Take care, and keep in touch! Ch. 2 should be tomorrow.  Sending my love back to you, too, and a big hug!  ~Kim

Do you know how happy I was to see this story waiting for me in my inbox today? I freaking LOVE this little universe you have created. It makes me so stinking happy to see them living so happy and domesticated - while still remaining in character (well done, you!)

I am still laughing my ass off at "canine slut's owner?" I literally read that line about 10 times and my laughter just got more and more out of control. Best line in a fanfic EVER!

How cute is Justin, wanting a little puppy and having to almost guilt Brian in to letting him have one? He can't deny that boy anything, and that's freaking adorable.

Thank you thank you thank you for writing this. It is honestly one of my favourite stories - not just THIS one, but this little world you have created. I hope you continue this.

ALSO, BRIAN IN GLASSES = MEOOOOOOOOW

Author's Response:

Hi, Sally! Wow, your comments really make me smile; thank you for that.;)  I do enjoy creating havoc in Brian's life. I think in a way he's gotten used to it around Tricky, but now it's multiplied.  I wonder if father or daughter will corrupt the other, or it will be mutual?  We will find out coming up.;)

As for Brian doing everything that Justin wants...hmm..even HE may be hard pressed to cooperate once he finds out something later in the story (sorry, won't give it away; don't want to spoil it for you).;)

Thank you for the encouragement.  I do need to refresh myself and recharge my batteries. But I have so many stories I would still like to write. Perhaps once I am done with my two WIPs, I will revisit whether or not to continue writing. I appreciate everyone's comments on the first chapter; that really makes me feel better.  I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!  ~Kim

BTW, I loved that line about Sadie being a 'canine slut,' too.;)  Oh, and have a blast with Randy in P-town! You don't know how much I wish I could be there, but hopefully you and the others will take lots of pics and vids!  Have fun!

I did not mean you actually you bore the brunt when I noticed another writer you can figure it out if you look added some little nothing instead of adding another chapter to their series at least 2 of them that have been floundering for months and I apologize profusely for you thinking I meant you I love your stuff and hope you never stop writing it.

i should have been more clear in my comments I am tired of commenting to the other writer since it gets no results not even a response so please accept my apologies for a rant not meant for you and please continue to write I do love your stuff

Author's Response:

Thank you for clarifying that. I am very relieved that it was not directed at me, and I am sorry if my own comments came across as harsh. It's just that I am so careful about never leaving a story unfinished, and responding to all my comments that I reacted impetuously to your remarks. Again, please accept my apologies as well, and I hope you continue to enjoy the story.  I will have the next chapter up tomorrow.  Thanks again. ~Kim

The Cujo universe is hilarious as it definitely everything Brian would hate lol. That Justin is a sneaky man he knows anything he needs Brian to agree to is a coordinated plan. Justin knows better than Brian what Brian needs And he is just the creative man to show him lol

Author's Response:

Thank you for the comments, and for reading the first chapter, Chris! I hope you enjoy the rest. Poor Brian will have his hands full, and will have a big dilemma on his hands soon.;)  I know, I'm a tease.:)

Thanks again for reading, Chris  ~Kim

Kim if you stop writing well....I don’t even want to fathom the idea that we won’t be blessed with any more of your stories. I must admit to being one of those authors who has been a doubting Thomas so to speak about my writing ability. So let's say we make a deal, I won't give up if you don’t ;)

Can't wait for the next chapter to see what kind of mischief Sadie jr gets into lol

Author's Response:

Tamara, you are too kind. And you have always been so supportive of me and so many other authors. For that, I will always be grateful no matter WHAT happens.  As for your own ability, I think you are definitely shortchanging yourself. :)

I guess it's just that I have so much on my plate that when I DO have time to write and post, if I don't get a lot of feedback, it always makes me doubt myself.  So the encouragement I have received for this first chapter is very heartwarming and much appreciated. I will finish my two WIPs first and perhaps throw in a one-shot or two in between before I decide what to do.  I definitely need to recharge my batteries, though!

Thanks again for all the support you give so many on this site.  ~Kim

Brilliant love all the Tricky stories, and I hope you continue writing for a long time.

Author's Response:

Hello, Andrea - thank you for reading this first chapter, and especially for letting me know that you have enjoyed the Tricky stories. I will think about more stories, perhaps after I finish my two WIPs, or maybe write a one-shot here and there until they are done. Thank you again for the encouragement. ~Kim

Yay!  I've missed this series with Tricky so much!   All of the stories were hysterical!   I'm thrilled that Justin convinced Brian to let him take the puppy.  Please DO continue with this.  I look forward to all the future adventures and mischief that will occur.  Brian cracks me up when he interacts with Tricky so I can just imagine what will happen when there are two from the same bloodline.  Gus will be thrilled.

Author's Response:

Hi, Larka! First of all, a belated welcome to MW. Thank you for joining as a member.;)

Secondly, I'm thrilled that you have enjoyed all of the Tricky stories. I love that big lug! He means well, but his enthusiasm just gets in the way sometimes.  It remains to be seen if he corrupts his daughter, or the other way around.  Let's just say I think his daughter will do him proud - ha!

Thank you for reading this first chapter, and especially for the support; I am very appreciative. ~Kim

Sry got carried away last review. This story is cute so far. Justin wins out again--Ha. The listeners will love this one as most of them have dogs. One just got a black lab puppy named him Taylor. Can you imagine. He said he likes the name. Lee still wants his story update when you have time. lol

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: August 11, 2015 05:51 PM · On: Dogged Determination

I read your mini speech--don't you ever quit writing here. I know your life has changed because of all the beta work and other work you do on this site plus your new job doesn't leave you much time to write. That being said, we all the listeners, me, Lee will be devistated if you stop and we will read elsewhere. You are the glue that holds all of us together and I can just imagine what the listeners and others will say when I tell them. Please don't forsake us. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc! How can I express my gratitude to you for all the support you, Lee, and the peeps have given me?

I'm glad to hear that your readers will enjoy this story. I think in one way the daughter might actually wind up surpassing the father when it comes to potentially spelling disaster for the boys' wedding, but I don't want to go into too much detail and spoil it.;)  Let's just say that Brian will have a dilemma on his hands coming up.;)

Tell Lee that I will be updating MHD next, and have definitely not forgotten to update that one, or my other story.;)  There is still a ways to go with that one, and the other WIP, so I hope he continues to enjoy it.  Not sure if things will go totally smoothly for Tony as he and Fin prepare for their wedding. Something tells me that Tony will be the object of a lot of attention coming up, much to his consternation.;p

As for future stories, I have so many new ideas and stories partly started.  Perhaps if I can recharge my batteries, and finish my two WIPs, I can look into continuing them. It bothers me to not be able to update any faster than I can, but hopefully I will be able to post stories that are either done or almost done once I've completed them and that will lessen my stress.

Please express how much I appreciate all the support you, Lee, and the peeps have given me for the past several years. It means more to me than you will ever know. Sending a big hug of gratitude your way, and please give my love to Lee.  *Hugs* ~Kim

Was going to go back and re-read all the Tricky fics before I started in on this one, but was far too pempted.

I can'twait to see what trouble the new addition will bring to the household. I'm sure we're in for many giggles! Love this arc.

Author's Response:

Hi, Elaine! Always great to hear from you.) I'm happy to know that you have enjoyed the Tricky stories.  And yes, both father and daughter are about to meet for the first time, and it could spell disaster for a certain brunet.;) Thanks again for taking the time to leave me your thoughts; it is much appreciated. ~Kim

i love all your stories! I usually wait until they are finished before I read them, but I have gone back and read your older ones. And I am one of those awful people who read them but don't comment, I'm sorry xx but please carry in writing as I enjoy your work and I'm sure lots of others do. xxxx

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend! You are not awful at all.  I understand how busy people can be.  But thank you for taking the time to leave me a note, letting me know that you enjoy my stories. Just a little support goes a long way to encourage me.  I will finish posting this story, and then work on completing my two WIPs. I hope once they are done that you will give them a chance.

Hi,

I must confess that I was a lurker myself, reading and totally enjoying but never leaving a comment because I felt kinda like, "who would care what I have to say?"

Then I started reading "The King's Wil" and let's just say I finally figured it out, thanks to the beautiful, amazing author.  I actually joined (I too was having problems leaving a review over and over) so I did it.  And I am so glad I did, because the best time to comment is at the end of the chapter and if you keep getting rebuffed by the code then you give up and never end up going back because RL gets in the way.

All right then, back to your story.  This is great.  I love when Justin wants something and watching Brian try to resist him, when we all know what the outcome will be.  There is sure to be much hilarity when "she" comes home to live with them!!!!

I am here everyday, and will be eagerly waiting for more.

Thanks for all you do!

Terri

Author's Response:

Hi, Terri! First of all, thank you for registering, and for persevering. I don't know why the system makes it so hard to leave a review anonymously, but several others have mentioned that. It IS much easier to register to review, though, isn't it?  And yes, Sorcha's story is very intriguing.:)

And thank you, also, for taking the time to let me know that you will be reading this story, and that you enjoyed the first chapter. That means a lot to me.  BTW, if you haven't read the other Tricky stories, if I can shamelessly plug the other ones, I hope you might give them a try, especially if you like seeing Brian tormented.;)  There's a fair amount of hurt/comfort/drama in them, too, along with the humor to hopefully keep your interest.

Thanks again for your support of me and the site! It is much appreciated.  ~Kim

Love this story in all its parts but then i own a retriever so i know and love them for all the love and trouble they can bring to your life. I love how Justin knows exactly how to play Brian to get what he wants. I do review frequently especially the stories I like most I have slso been known to review when an author forgets they have left readers hanging on long running series and started writing little bits of fluff insteadif you had a block fine if you are doing it to be annoying I can go read my facebook feed instead i love this story and cant wait to see what Justin names the puupy

I deleted my original response to your comments, because I think you may have not meant to direct it to me, but to other writers who do not finish their stories. If that is the case, I do apologize if I came across as blunt in my previous comments. In my own defense, I am so obsessive about never leaving my stories unfinished that I admit it struck a nerve. But I am hoping you did not mean me, but other writers. If so, I am sorry for the tone of my previous words.

Thank you for leaving feedback, and I hope you continue to enjoy this story.  ~Kim

Now that I read Deck the Paws my understanding of the story is much greater.  Brian Kinney and an animal living together? How terrible for Brian but so wonderful for us readers.

Looking forward to more!

Author's Response:

Hi, there! Thank you for reading the 1st chapter of this story, and for your feedback. It really does help to encourage me.  Yeah, good thing Brian loves Justin so deeply, or he would never agree to this arrangement. And this dog has big paws; we all know what THAT means,.;)

Thanks again for taking the time to leave feedback; it is truly appreciated. I'll have Ch. 2 up tomorrow.  ~Kim

Yay! A new Tricky universe story, Framed for Christmas is one of my all time favorites. ( I'm a sucker for angst and hurt!Justin).  I so enjoy your writing, it would be a shame to see a writer of your caiber stop writing/posting.  You make it seem effortless the way the words flow to create that story image in the readers minds eye.  i'm also a huge fan of humor injected into the plot and you do it so well.

i will admit to be one of those readers that don't leave enough comments. I hate to leave a simple "great chapter, waiting for more" kind of comment.  Real comments mean so much and I don't want to just repeat the same thing over and over. That isn't satisfying to the writer or reviewer.

thanks for sharing your talent and imagination! It's always a pleasure to read! Thanks😄

Author's Response:

Hi, Melinda! I recognize your user name; thank you for the reviews you have left for my stories, and for your words of support; I am truly grateful for that.  I understand about not wanting to leave the same comment over and over again; and I'm not even asking for a comment after every chapter. But I do need the reassurance from time to time that someone is still enjoying the story, so this does help me.

I'll have Ch. 2 up probably tomorrow. Thanks again for the feedback! ~Kin

I sooo love Tricky stories. I laughed out loud when Sandra asked Brian about an addition to the family. Still laughing...... And Justin being NOT so sneaky...LOL

Please don't give up writing. I've only been reading fanfiction for a few years and you were one of the 1st writers I found. It didn't take me long to search out everything you wrote and devour all of them. I have all of them in a folder under your name in my 'Favourite Authors' folder so I can re-read them when I get a chance and can find them easily. I've even got them saved to my 7" tablet that I use as an E-reader - serious reader here...... That tablet goes with me everywhere - doctors, dentists, hairdressers, recent flight to the UK - no boring magazines for me......

Author's Response:

Hi, Monica - thank you for your kind words about my stories, and for the encouragement.  I do love writing about B and J, but I still need the reassurance from time to time that there still are readers out there who are enjoying reading them, so your feedback really does help.

I will think hard about it. I have my two unfinished stories to complete; perhaps by then I will have a clearer picture of what I want to do.  Your words mean so much, and do help., Thank you again. ~Kim

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement, Ro. Glad that you are enjoying it so far. I will have Ch. 2 up probably tomorrow, and you will learn the name of Justin's new addition to the family. Thanks again for being so supportive. ~Kim

Hi Predec,

you are SO right. I apologize cause i really, really love and adore your stories, especially this one with tricky. When i got online this morning and saw that you've continued with this story line i was SOOOOOO happy. :)

But, i don't remember ever posting a comment on this story line. I don't even know why..... :( Sadly, i never did it. And i feel a little ashamed.

I firmly believe that some readers take for granted beeing able to read new stories on this site all the time. And that shouldn't have happened. You invest so much time, emotions and creativity in all your stories and that is worth a great deal of appreciation!

So, i for myself promise to comment regularly and let all the authors know what i think of their story.

Please continue to write, don't get discouraged. Your are a great writer with so much talend! I'm sure i am not the only person thinking that.

Hugs, Diana

Author's Response:

Hello, Diana - No need to apologize.:)  I didn't mean to shame anyone into reviewing; I just need the reassurance from time to time that there are still readers out there enjoying them, so your kind words mean the world to me, and really do help.  I DO think that perhaps some readers do not feel it is as important to leave reviews for the more seasoned writers, but I think I can speak for them in saying they are still quite important to them, and are just as treasured.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to leave me feedback. It does help me.  I will give it a lot of thought in the meantime, and will definitely finish my two incomplete ones. Perhaps by then I will feel more encouraged. Thaank you again. ~Kim

Thank you for writing and sharing your stories.

Hi, Chandrika - thank you for taking the time to leave me your thoughts. I think you do quite well as a non-native speaker; I understood you clearly.;)  I am happy to hear that you enjoy the stories about Tricky. Author's Response:

Hello, my friend.  You are very kind.  I will think hard about it.  I am so tired at the moment from everything I have going on. I just think I need the reassurance that my stories are still being enjoyed. To me, that can make the difference between writing or not.  If I ever feel like no one is interested any longer, then that will be the time to stop writing.

"WHOA WHOA" AND "OH HELL NO!!!!" What do you MEAN YOU MAY NOT CONTINUE WRITING!!!!???!!!

I JUST re read " Remember Me" one of your M-A-N-Y classics ( yeah! I said it!) and before that Heartstrings!
When ever and while I am waiting for a story I am reading to update, I ALWAYS GO BACK and pull up one of YOUR stories ( and yes on a regular :)
I first found the fanfiction site, I would read the stories there but then I found Whispers.

I cant remember the first story of yours I read BUT I can tell you that when I read it I was Hooked on you!! I can tell you that I said up the whole night reading story after story lol ( I can honestly blame you for going to work tired lol) I wished I had been there to comment and review when you wrote these amazing stories. When I finally did join I did not at first leave reviews, I didnt understand how important that is until I really took the time to think about, words are powerful and encouraging, I know that now.

I just want you to know that if you stop writing ( I dont want you to :( but if you do I just want you to know that I WILL miss you. And that I have a wonderfull collection of 82 stories that I can re read and re read over and over and over. Thank You Predec2.

Author's Response:

Hi,Tanya - your kind words mean more to me than I can say. To know how much you have enjoyed my stories really does help.  I guess like every writer I just need that little reminder from time to time that there are still people out there reading them.  Sorry I was the cause of your insomnia, but I am extremely flattered.;)

As for continuing, I don't know. I always feel so guilty for not updating my stories faster, and that adds to the stress, I suppose. I will continue my two WIPs and get them finished; perhaps once I do that, I will be ready to write a new one. I don't think unless they are one-shots, though, that I will post them until they are either all written or close to it. It's just too stressful when I need to keep updating so I don't disappoint my readers.

I'll have Ch. 2 posted probably tomorrow, and you will learn more about Justin's name for his new addition to the family. Thank you again for everything you wrote! That means the world to me. ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Janet! Always good to hear from you.:)  Just wait until you hear the puppy's name; no 'brownie' or 'happy' for THIS one.:)  You will discover the moniker in the next chapter, and let's just say that Justin gets a bit carried away.;)

Hi Kim! I haven't read the Tricky series as of yet but I am a huge animal lover! I really enjoyed this story and would love to see more with the new dog as well as read some of your previous Tricky stories! I would especially like to read the one about Tricky saving Justin and Gus. :) I love dogs so I hope Brian comes around with a puppy in the mix.

As for your note, I completely agree with it. When I do get a chance to read I always try to review. I tend to read in spurts and it takes me a while to get through longer stories, even when I am loving them. But I have had similar thoughts when it comes to a couple of my own works. Sometimes my reviews go into the teens and it thrills me and sometimes I get maybe five on one I worked hard at. I guess it depends on the subject matter or maybe the day it was posted. Anyway, I love your writing styles and you always seem to have great ideas. You are such an interactive admin so I do hope if anything you are able to get more reviews, if not other authors. Thanks for doing all that you do!

Author's Response:

Thank you for your kind words, Anne.  I admit I am pretty exhausted right now, between everything going on, and that probably adds to my discouragement.  Comments from you and other readers really do help, though, and are much appreciated.

As for the stories where Gus and Justin are saved by our heroic pooch, they are actually in two stories:  I believe Justin's is in "Framed for Christmas," while Gus's save is in "Dog Days of Summer."  I would have to go back and check, but I'm pretty sure that's correct.

Thank you again for taking the time to leave me your thoughts. It is greatly appreciated.  ~Kim
