I really enjoy pet!fics and humorous stories which is why the Tricky stories are my favorites of all your works. Even though I knew Brian would give in and let Justin adopt Xena his concerns were certainly valid since adopting a dog or cat can be a fifteen or twenty year commitment.
I hope whoever will be looking over Tricky and Xena during the wedding will be doing so at a completely different location otherwise I can see them getting loose and creating havoc like in the pilot of the Brady Bunch series where the dog knocked over people and tables including the one with the wedding cake.

I can feel for Brian as I have gotten a Black Lab puppy and he is a handful. He has so much energy he wears me out. I named him Taylor. Loving this but here is a piece of info to get you to change your dog food brand is made by purina and that is owned by nestle and nestle is owned by the koch brothers i buy nothing they make for obvious reasons

Hi, Mariana! I hung onto all of your kind comments. Thank you for continuing to read my stories, and especially for the feedback, letting me know how much you enjoy them. I think in the end that is all that ANY writer is looking for when they write. I know that some do it simply for the love of writing. And while I DO enjoy writing about B and J still - and have a lot more ideas in my head - it helps me more than people probably know, simply just to be told that others enjoy my efforts, so you taking the time to let me know that means the world to me.   I'm going to do my best - I am working 12-hr days sometimes, and have a lot of other things going on in RL, so it takes me a while to update, but I WILL finish my two other stories as soon as I can.  I won't, however, rush them simply to get them done; I think that does a disservice to those readers who have been following them so faithfully.  The only thing I can promise is that I will never leave one unfinished, and I will update just as fast as I humanly can.  I'm working on the next part of "MHD" now, so hopefully that will be up soon.;)  What I do after that, I wil have to think about.  Maybe by then, things won't be so crazy, and with at least one of the two WIPs done, I will have more time to write.

 

As for this story, yes, the arrival of Tricky will definitely add to the mix of chaos here. He has, shall we say, been missing his 'idol' in the extreme, so whether he's mellowed or not, seeing him will no doubt set off the excitement again, and maybe not in a good way for Brian.  But that's the fun, isn't it? And now he has a cohort in crime, thanks to Justin's decision to add Xena to their household.  She just may outdo her dad in the stunts department, too; only time will tell that.;)

Love the name of the new pup.  But I can see that Justin has his work cut out for him.  I've notice the more you ignore them the better behaved the dog is.  Maybe that would work?  How will Brian react when he finds out who all is coming to the wedding?

This is going to be exciting to see "the wooly mammoth" and off spring together-who knows he may just be nice and father her. Ha! Cute as always, an unusual idea adding yet another dog into the mix. Love that you called the dog Xena. (I have recently been getting re-aquainted with the show) Lovin the pics and the dog bed/couch. Never seen anything like that.

Looking forward to what happens when Tricky and Xena meet. Something tells me, Britin's going to get a whole lot louder.....

So happy you are doing another story with Tricky, the little Xena. I hope Tricky is better behaved, not perfect of course. I loved Brian's comments in this chapter. His love hate of Tricky and his progeny was as entertaining as always.  Even though Justin's persuasive tactics were eye opening for Brian, it was the the reminder of how Cujo/Tricky saved Justin and Gus' lives that did the trick. I could see that be the trump card only used when nothing else worked. Brian held out pretty well.

I hate to hear about you or any other devoted writer giving up. I don't know about about any other reader, but as I have have gotten up in years, so has my family and helath issues are escalating. I wonder if that is the case for other readers - an aging population. Nevertheless, I have always admired any writer who has taken the time out of their busy lives to provide some much needed relief and distraction from some of the drudgery or disappointment of RL. Again, I believe you were the first author I read in this fandom and you are one of the reasons I am still here today reading when I should be working on a resume`, lol.

As far as leaving reviews anonymously, I have tried several times to re-register after forgetting my password and I received no response. I took that as a sign. I needed to prioritize. I still read but not as timely as before or as I would like or as consistently. But I can't see myself ever leaving the QAF world, completely.

I was delighted to hear from you.   I know you have been one of my most loyal followers pretty much since the beginning, and I really appreciate that.  To say that I am busy is an understatement. Sigh...I was at work last night until 8:00 p.m., and have two more late nights next week.  I won't get into everything that I have to do, but suffice to say that it keeps me just this shy of tearing what little hair I have left completely out - ha!

You may be right about the lack of responses, but I still get easily discouraged when I don't receive very many, and it always makes me wonder if the interest in them is waning. The readers who have taken time to leave comments on this story, though, have lifted my sprits somewhat. I stil have precious little time, and still am not sure how long I can keep writing and taking care of so many other things, but I will see once I get my two WIPs done.

I love Xena. As a 13 year old at 5'7", with fully adult body and with classmates barely coming to my shoulder I always felt large and ugly even though I was the correct weight for my height. Being called Mox the Ox by those classmates didn't help either. When Xena first appeared on TV with her height, strong body and 'attitude' (not to mention beauty....) it was the first time I felt it was okay to be taller and stronger than everyone else (although the classmates eventually caught up - well some of them anyway) Such a great name to give the puppy....poor poor Brian. Justin definitely has his work cut out for him.......LOL

My dear Lee - you are such a sweet man! I don't know what I did to deserve yours and Lindc's support - along with all the peeps - but whatever it was, I will always be grateful.  What a kind person you are, and your words mean the world to me. I can't think of a greater compliment than to have someone tell me they read my stories to escape from the stress of the world. I think in a way that is why I write them, b/c for just a little while I can be somewhere else and be someone else.

Tamara, you are too kind. And you have always been so supportive of me and so many other authors. For that, I will always be grateful no matter WHAT happens.  As for your own ability, I think you are definitely shortchanging yourself. :)

I guess it's just that I have so much on my plate that when I DO have time to write and post, if I don't get a lot of feedback, it always makes me doubt myself.  So the encouragement I have received for this first chapter is very heartwarming and much appreciated. I will finish my two WIPs first and perhaps throw in a one-shot or two in between before I decide what to do.  I definitely need to recharge my batteries, though!

Yay!  I've missed this series with Tricky so much!   All of the stories were hysterical!   I'm thrilled that Justin convinced Brian to let him take the puppy.  Please DO continue with this.  I look forward to all the future adventures and mischief that will occur.  Brian cracks me up when he interacts with Tricky so I can just imagine what will happen when there are two from the same bloodline.  Gus will be thrilled.

I read your mini speech--don't you ever quit writing here. I know your life has changed because of all the beta work and other work you do on this site plus your new job doesn't leave you much time to write. That being said, we all the listeners, me, Lee will be devistated if you stop and we will read elsewhere. You are the glue that holds all of us together and I can just imagine what the listeners and others will say when I tell them. Please don't forsake us. lol

Hi, lindc! How can I express my gratitude to you for all the support you, Lee, and the peeps have given me? 

I'm glad to hear that your readers will enjoy this story. I think in one way the daughter might actually wind up surpassing the father when it comes to potentially spelling disaster for the boys' wedding, but I don't want to go into too much detail and spoil it.;)  Let's just say that Brian will have a dilemma on his hands coming up.;)

Tell Lee that I will be updating MHD next, and have definitely not forgotten to update that one, or my other story.;)  There is still a ways to go with that one, and the other WIP, so I hope he continues to enjoy it.  Not sure if things will go totally smoothly for Tony as he and Fin prepare for their wedding. Something tells me that Tony will be the object of a lot of attention coming up, much to his consternation.;p

As for future stories, I have so many new ideas and stories partly started.  Perhaps if I can recharge my batteries, and finish my two WIPs, I can look into continuing them. It bothers me to not be able to update any faster than I can, but hopefully I will be able to post stories that are either done or almost done once I've completed them and that will lessen my stress.

Love this story in all its parts but then i own a retriever so i know and love them for all the love and trouble they can bring to your life. I love how Justin knows exactly how to play Brian to get what he wants. I do review frequently especially the stories I like most I have slso been known to review when an author forgets they have left readers hanging on long running series and started writing little bits of fluff insteadif you had a block fine if you are doing it to be annoying I can go read my facebook feed instead i love this story and cant wait to see what Justin names the puupy

If that is the case, I do apologize if I came across as blunt in my previous comments. In my own defense, I am so obsessive about never leaving my stories unfinished that I admit it struck a nerve. Yay! A new Tricky universe story, Framed for Christmas is one of my all time favorites. ( I'm a sucker for angst and hurt!Justin).  I so enjoy your writing, it would be a shame to see a writer of your caiber stop writing/posting.  You make it seem effortless the way the words flow to create that story image in the readers minds eye.  i'm also a huge fan of humor injected into the plot and you do it so well.

i will admit to be one of those readers that don't leave enough comments. I hate to leave a simple "great chapter, waiting for more" kind of comment.  Real comments mean so much and I don't want to just repeat the same thing over and over. That isn't satisfying to the writer or reviewer.

I sooo love Tricky stories. I laughed out loud when Sandra asked Brian about an addition to the family. Still laughing...... And Justin being NOT so sneaky...LOL

Please don't give up writing. I've only been reading fanfiction for a few years and you were one of the 1st writers I found. It didn't take me long to search out everything you wrote and devour all of them. I have all of them in a folder under your name in my 'Favourite Authors' folder so I can re-read them when I get a chance and can find them easily. I've even got them saved to my 7" tablet that I use as an E-reader - serious reader here...... That tablet goes with me everywhere - doctors, dentists, hairdressers, recent flight to the UK - no boring magazines for me......

you are SO right. I apologize cause i really, really love and adore your stories, especially this one with tricky. When i got online this morning and saw that you've continued with this story line i was SOOOOOO happy. :)

 

But, i don't remember ever posting a comment on this story line. I don't even know why..... :( Sadly, i never did it. And i feel a little ashamed. 

I firmly believe that some readers take for granted beeing able to read new stories on this site all the time. And that shouldn't have happened. You invest so much time, emotions and creativity in all your stories and that is worth a great deal of appreciation!

 

So, i for myself promise to comment regularly and let all the authors know what i think of their story. 

Please continue to write, don't get discouraged. Your are a great writer with so much talend! I'm sure i am not the only person thinking that.

Hello, Diana - No need to apologize.:)  I didn't mean to shame anyone into reviewing; I just need the reassurance from time to time that there are still readers out there enjoying them, so your kind words mean the world to me, and really do help.  I DO think that perhaps some readers do not feel it is as important to leave reviews for the more seasoned writers, but I think I can speak for them in saying they are still quite important to them, and are just as treasured.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!  A sequel to my favorite story.  I love it!!!  I hope that Tricky gets to visit and spend time with his daughter.  Just want to agree with your remarks about writers liking reviews.  If you register and leave yourself logged in it only takes a couple minutes to leave a review and the writer will really be pleased and grateful!!
