That was great!

You did a wonderful portrayal of this painful time in the series. I  really had a strong dislike and disappointment in Justin's behavior as I watched. I know Brian was't very good to the kid and hurt him but at least he was honest and played by their rules. It took a while but I personally know that they got it together, eventually....shameless plug...but seriously, I enjoyed your story.

While I always hated these moments, I understood both Brian and Justin's POV.

First time I saw these episodes, I felt really really sad (I already was caught by the QAF virus and still am). You were able to make me feel the same way with these 2 parts, so, job well done.

By the way, THE kissing scene at the end of Ep. 219 is epic as well as in your writting.

And then, we wouldn't have had Ep. 307 (From the inside), Ep. 308 (Lovers' spit) and most of all Ep. 309 with the greatest reunification since Germany if Ethan hadn't made Justin fall for him.

Wow!  This is an excellent gap-filler.  I love how you're so even-handed with all the people involved, even Ethan.  And it's so emotional.  My heart was beating shallowly the whole time I was reading.  It's nice to remember how all of this eventually turns out.

You're a terrific writer.  Would you mind if I recced this on my LJ?

Author's Response:

Thank you so much. Sure. Recommend it ;)

We (me &my friend who helped writing it) also have it posted on archiveofourown dot org and on fanfuction dot net. :)

I've never been able to watch this all the way through.  With your story I find all the nuances that I missed.  The good thing about fanfic is you can fix all the things you didn't care for.  In spite of that I found I really enjoyed your story. : )

Author's Response:

These episodes are tough, but important. Glad to be able to fill in the blanks ;)

This follows the episodes almost too well.  You've given us a look into what they were thinking.  I wish they'd come clean with each other.

Author's Response:

So glad we could portray everything so well. :)

If they have come clean, Justin wouldn't have experienced that mistake with Ethan.

What!!! Is this really how this story is going to end? :( I thought at the very least through all the angst we would at least have hope for a potentially happy ending...

Author's Response:

Uh, yes... This was a gapfiller so we stayed true to the tv show.

We all know they end up back together, right? Now you gave an idea for their reunion. :-P

Wonderful written. So painfull for both of them.

* hugs *

Author's Response:

Yes, it was supposed to be painful....just as painful as watching these episodes.

A nice reconstruction of the events leading up to their break up and I especially enjoyed that last line. At times I felt the script was a little difficult to follow because of the constant switches betweeen POV, from Brian to Justin. These could easily have been separated to avoid confusion. In terms of content, I love how Ethan was portrayed. Obviously as fans of Britin, we love to despise him but you shoed why it was logical for Justin to choose Ethan. After all the guy was a romantic, gave Justin all the signs of love without having to be asked and was far more attentive than Brian. But then with that last ,line we have to see the real casualty in this love triangle. A nice piece- in need of a little restructuring with regards to the narrative voice, but good reading.

Author's Response:

Thank you! We tried to keep the povs separated by page breaks as much as possible.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, as Britin fans, it hurts to know Brian was so deeply hurt. Justin needed this experience to understand he was much better off with Brian than with Ethan.

That's a brilliant illustration of Brian's strong sense of betrayal during 2x19. Well done!

Author's Response:

Thank you! It was hard to write, but feels so great to see my silly thoughts inspired by these songs, actually written down.

I honestly can't wait to see where you take this.

Author's Response:

We kept true to the story line in the show, so it's going to be full on angst.
