You know that's one thing i never thought about. i mean i watch TWD all the time and i never really thought about the air smelling of death. Rick and his crew never acted that way. Loving the humor in this, when do they get Brian? God i hope they get Brian, Justin can't always be the victim

Well, that was fun.....LOL Love conquers all. And strangely enough it reminds me of a game I used to play with my grandson - Plants vs Zombies. Jaak had a fascination with exploding zombies - probably a boy thing.....LOL
Author's Response: Hello Monica, I am glad you considered this a fun read. That makes me smile :) LOL yes, boys love things exploding. I prefer the more romantic side of zombies, they deserve love too. :P Thank you for reading and reviewing. *Hugs* -Mandi

No matter what you seem to come up with your writing style never changes . Thank god as it is a very unique beauty you should be proud of. -Tina :)

Hey Mandi :)
"forever they would remain together...until they fell apart" Aww
"with love in their hearts and brains on their tongues" Eww
Okay, apparently zombie speak has entered my brain/s and I can only express myself in interjections. LOL
I'm a little sad we didn't get the "I still feel him inside me" denoting a Toppy Justin, in the diner, with the gang all watching. Clue/cluedo, anyone. LOL
I absolutely adore that this is all a Halloween tale by Justin as I didn't see that coming. I love it when an author can surprise me. I'm extra happy :))))) that you kept them in character even at the end and you weren't tempted with the easy "I love you" ending. Bravo, on another fine piece of entertainment.
Cheers :)
Author's Response: Hi Flossee! Your reviews always make me smile. Sorry there wasn't any zombie 'relations' LOL; but I'm glad I could surprise you! :) I couldn't pass up the chance of a Halloween 'tale' and of course I'm always a sucker for happy endings. I give to you a gigantic thank you for reading and reviewing this story. I appreciate it. -Smiles & Hugs-

"...before he went to eat his promised kiss."
I like the way this is worded. I didn't expect that Justin would actually bite Brian.
Oh, that HIV theory was a bust, lol.
Author's Response: I always try to think of new ways to word lines, I am pleased you liked it. Yep, Justin just couldn't help himself, Kinney is delicious. ;)

Achingly painful to read and so beautiful. Somehow you've made a zombie story romantic.

"Curl & Dye"
LOL!
Author's Response: I wish I could take credit for Curl Up & Dye, but it is actually a salon in my hometown of Berlin, MD. It's stuck with me since I first went there LOL. Fun fact: It was used in the Julia Roberts movie Runaway Bride when the movie was filmed there, the director loved it so much he kept it in the film. :)

Zombies in love. . . It's so sickeningly sweet!
"…Let's fuck like it's the end of the world." Brian commanded instead.
Loved it! Thanks for my Halloween treat! TAG

Justin having a goth phase haha I can picture it. :) This chapter was a sweet reunification, you know until 'the incident', everyone's so in character no matter the universe you stick them in. Really enjoying this story.

OMG, 'I survived a zombie fic t-shirt'. that's hilarious.LOL I already have a t-shirt that reads "NOT DEAD" but it isn't a zombie one. :D
Please hurry back, as I can't wait to see the men do the horizontal tango where Justin's body parts start to fall off. Hey, if I got this far in to the fic I would appreciate a little zombie action of the B/J kind as a reward, or the aforementioned t-shirt. LOL
This is the best Halloween/violence fic I have read and I am invested now until the end (even if I am in denial about Justin's predisposition).
Cheers :)
Author's Response: 'Not Dead' well, that is a fun little fact to learn about you. Hah. My husband has a t-shirt that reads: 'somebody else', I sometimes pretend he's Gale instead. ;) As for some Zombie sexy-times LOLOL I don't know if I'll take it quite that far, but the idea is hilariously brilliant! "I still feel him inside me." could take on a literal, hysterical meaning. Anywho, thank you times a million for continuing this story. :D The final two parts will be up soon.

OMG, that was intense...I hate to see Justin turning into a zombie. I hate to see Brian in pain. But I love where you're taking this! The three last lines here are so intense. I can't wait to read your prose written and the beauty of it all. Because that's how I feel when I read this. It's an horror story and yet, it's fillled with beauty and love. Thank you for writing it :)

this is getting better and better with each chapter, it's amazing how poetic you remain even when you're writing horror. Some really great lines in this one. And your little antidotes of humor are delightful. Hey todd haha I enjoyed the whole Todd/Brian exchange! :)
Author's Response: Thank you, glad I could make you laugh. :)

I made it through two chapters without falling off the edge of my seat. Yep, you had me there the whole time.
I love the humour you have instilled in this fic as it is the one thing that keeps me breathing, due to intermittent bursts of laughter. "You know Todd, I think I preferred when you wanted me for my body, not my brain." The Todd part is classic.
OMG, I love that Ben and Hunter are alive, alive and not dead, alive.
Cheers :)
Author's Response: Hi! I'm glad you made it through two more chapters. I feel at that the end of this fic I should print you up an 'I survived a zombie fic t-shirt' ;) I hope you continue to follow this one. Your reading and reviewing means a lot. Thank you again. :)

Hey Mandi :)
I can honestly tell you I have read these first two chapters through the gaps between my fingers. I have only ever watched a small portion of a zombie movie and the ones that could love or care about others ended up turning human again. I really have my fingers crossed if B/J get bitten this will be their salvation. Or, and I normally dislike endings where it was all just a dream, I would love this to be the case here. Yep, I really am that wimpy, still I am going to try and stay with you. If I can't I will come back and read the end then go back to the other chapters. LOL Hey, don't judge me harshly as I'm only reading it because you are the author. :)
Cheers :)
Author's Response: Hello Flossee :) I am very humbled that you have chosen to step outside of your comfort zone to read my words. No worries, I never judge. This story gets spookier but I do firmly believe you will be pleased with the ending. Thank you for reading and I hope you stay with me, for any chapters you choose to read. LOL ~Hugss~ :)

"Now, these four were not trying to claw past one another in search of their next meal."
Intriguing. I still don't understand why they couldn't have gotten a car. And I hope someone is carrying a torch... Oh man... See, that's why I don't read these types of stories. I get too caught up in them, LOL.
Author's Response: The world is so silent that the engine running and such would be loud enough to draw the attention of the undead with their heightenend hearing. He's probably got a light in his backpack of tricks somewhere I'm glad you are reading this. ~mandi

I'm not a huge zombie fan, but I will gladly give yours a try. So far, this one has my interest. I'm curious if the entire gang are now zombies. it's not clear to me in this first chapter.

So the zombies are evolving? Will there be someone at the diner when they finally get there? Are are they truly two against the world?
Author's Response: For the moment they feel it is defintely just the two of them, but I'll tell you that some-living-bodies await them at the diner. :) Thanks again for reading this!

oo I loved the spooky imagery in this one. That surveillance tape was something straight out a horror movie. I'm always impressed with how you shape your words together. They're everyday normal words but you somehow make them seem brand new. Your writing style is completely unique from anything I've ever read. Not just in this story but in them all. I am so ready for more of this. Thank you for once again sharing your words with us. I can't wait to see what happens. P.s this banner is crazy fun! :)

Another interesting chapter, Mandi. I could see this in my mind's eye. I have never really read or watched anything about Zombies (except Michael Jackson's "Thriller"), so this will be a new twist for me. Liked how Justin stopped Brian just long enough to tell him he loved him. Sweet and angsty.
Will be looking forward to the next part. Thanks! *Hugs* ~Kim
Author's Response: Wow, so you are really stepping out of your comfort zone with this, for me. That's amazing, thank you. I grew up in a family of horror fans, we used to have big neighborhood haunted houses in our house every Halloween. Lots would volunteer and it was always so much fun. I've never attempted to write an actual horror story before so this is a first for me too. This will get dark before it gets better. I hope I don't scare you away. Thank you so much for another review. :) :)

Author's Response: I'm relieved to hear that. I was and still am a little skeptical as how this would be percieved. I know it's not the norm but I really wanted to do something for Halloween. I do hope you'll continue with me. It's a little strange but Ill tell you it does end happily. :)

Hi Mandy,
First of all, I want to say I've read many of your fics in the past, and your unique style is so wonderful! I'm thrilled you're coming back to grace us with a new story :) You have a gift with words, I can see and most importantly feel everything you describe, either it's when you use humor or drama. So first, thank you so much for sharing your talent with us.
Secondly, I will read your other story 'kiss me deadly' as soon as I have more than two minutes to myself, but I couldn't help myself when I read the summary of this one. Even the summary is too well-written lol.
And of course, I absolutely love it and want to read more :) There are so many things and sentences I love here, if I had to list them all, this review would become way too long :)
Thank you!
Author's Response: Hello Alois! Thank you for taking the time to share such kind words. It's truly incredible praise and I am honored to be on the recieving end. I'm glad you have read previous works and I am stoked you are giving this a read and sharing your thoughts. Big hugs~ :)

oh my gosh, what is this awesomeness? Haha your summary and a/n make me giggle. This is really well written, not surprisingly. The imagery you pen is so entrancing. It's like that age old love story: boy meets boy: boys die: boys un-die: boys still love. Classic. :p so, are they going to find a cure at the end? I'm on board for this. Let's eat. :)
Author's Response: Classic...lol. Thanks for opening this and giving zombies a chance. :) This will be an odd sort of adventure before it comes to what I can promise (without giving too much away) will be a happy ending, I do so love those. I'm glad you'll be following this. ~hugs~
