Midnight Whispers
QAF Brian and Justin Fanfiction

I think Justin really overeacted to what Brian had told him about his employer.  To call Brian a liar shocked me a bit.  I really thought that Justin felt close enough to Brian that he wouldn't believe that.  Looks like they have quite a ways to go yet.

Gus on the other hand is wise beyond his years.  If he is right and friends don't leave like that there is hope.

See what a good job you've done.  I talk about them as if this were real.  hahahahah  Thanks, Kim.

I have an idea how Brian intends to get Justin to answer them. Reading on to see if my intuition is correct.

I'm getting worried, did Brian really make up all that stuff, is he really willing to do anything to get Justin to work for him. Maybe his blood sugar was too low and he was hearing voices that weren't really there. I think a nice bucket of fried chicken would fix a lot of things, better yet add a big bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy just to make sure. My mind is spinning over what Brian's idea might be.

Little Gus ....  "He'll be back" I hope so Kim! xx

Author's Response:

Hi, Elly! Not to fear; he will be back.  And Justin's about to find out just how wrong he was.  I will have the next part posted probably tomorrow. Thank you for bearing with me and having faith that I will bring the boys to a happier place.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hello Kim, dear!

A little disappointed that Justin did not believe Brian. The way you described your questions and conflicting feelings was very well done, my friend.

I believe that even Justin did not believe at the time, doubt was launched and soon Justin will realize the truth.

Now I'll chew my nails until the two resolve this situation.

I'm sad to see Brian's disappointment, but I believe that everything will be resolved soon.

A big hug, my friend.

Fatima.

Author's Response:

Hi, Fatima! Sigh...I know. Justin should have listened more to Brian. But I think he's still a little gun shy about their relationship.  I will be posting the next part probably tonight where Justin discovers who's being truthful. Hopefully that will make you feel better.;)  Thanks so much for reading this latest part, and for your comments, my friend.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I love Brian’s reaction to Justin :) You always describe his thoughts, his feelings so good – I always feel like I’m looking at Justin with his eyes. It’s a wonderful feeling.

I enjoyed Justin’s enthusiasm, his ingenuousness – he was really happy for Brian, and so passionate about his own work… I had a bad feeling immediately – Justin’s too in love with it to believe Brian’s criticism. I’m so sad for both of them, I don’t even know who to support :( Of course Justin should have believed Brian. He really does have some serious groveling to do! But to me it seemed that even despite his words, he still took Brian’s confession to heart. He’ll think about it – and maybe he’ll go directly to Andrew (or what is that jerk’s name...) Justin is in love with Brian, but it’s true that they haven’t spent much time together, they’re still learning things about each other. Still, he should have trusted him. I hope he’ll realize it’s not like Brian at all to lie that way.

And Brian is so hurt now :( I loved how you described his mood the next morning – his anger, his pain, his disbelief. I wonder how he’ll forgive Justin and how Justin’ll come to his senses. After Kent’s words… I have no idea.

Thank you for another amazing chapter! I hope you’ll update soon!

Author's Response:

Hi, Katrin, my friend! Thank you as always for your thoughtful comments.  I agree with what you said; there are a lot of emotions running through this chapter. Justin is soon going to find out how wrong he was about Brian AND Winslow, so he will definitely have to mend fences with his lover.  But you know I will get them straightened out soon (in a manner of speaking - LOL!). I'll have the next part up shortly. Today was my late father's birthday, so it's kind of been a rough day for the family.  Thanks again for reading, and for your support, Katrin. It is very much appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hi Kim, I still am enjoying your story! It has just the right amount of angst, which usually means the boys will be reconciling. 😘 Who doesn't like that?

Author's Response:

Hi, Jo! Thank for letting me know that.;)  I, too, normally need a little angst to provide just a bit of drama.;)  But as you know, I won't let the boys stay unhappy for long. Justin's about to find out that Brian was telling the truth all along.  I think we might need some makeup sex somewhere here along the way, don't you?;)

Thank you again for reading this story, and especially for the feedback and support, Jo. It is much appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

love this story!!! and i like that justin didn't believe brian, more angst on the way! but i'm worried he might go and confront his boss. it won't go well!

Author's Response:

Hi, Sasha! I'm glad you like the angst.;)  As for Justin, he's about to find out how wrong he was. What he does from there may include a variation on what you are saying.;)  Thank you for having faith that I will reunite these two boys, and bring them back to a happier place here.;)  I will have the next part up very soon.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I don't think your readers could actually be unhappy with your stories.  A little angst is a good thing especially because we know everything will turn out to be OK.  It's a good thing to not be too predictable.  Bill

Author's Response:

Hi,  Bill!  You're so sweet to say that; thank you.;)  I occasionally write angst free, but even with the infamous Tricky I still had to throw in a little bit. (I have to revisit that dog soon!). Thank you for the support, my friend. I'll have the next part up soon - Justin's about to discover he has some apologizing to do.;)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Use Gus to get Jus--Brian is devious but smart. Gus can wheedle himself into anyone's heart. Good chapter--listeners will love it.lol

Author's Response:

Hi, Lindc! Thanks as always for reading and taking the time to comment.:)

Sigh...apparently readers are not happy with this turn of events.  Perhaps I should have just let it remain angst free. But this is the way my plot bunny took me, for better or for worse.  Hopefully everyone will bear with me while I work out this situation between the boys. Hope the listeners aren't too upset with this angsty twist after you present it to them. Thank you for having faith in me.  Please tell everyone else thanks and give them my best. *Hugs*  ~Kim

I knew Justin was not going to believe Brian.  I do agree with Gus, Justin will be back.  You might make us wait a while for that to happen but I'm sure Justin will be back.  Thanks for the update it is great.  Bill

Author's Response:

Hi Bill!  Yes...some angst temporarily. It was the way my muse took me. But not to fear; you know I will get the boys back on the right path soon. I'll have the next part up in a few days. Thank you for reading, and for your comments, my friend. *Hugs*  Kim

Hi Kim,

Of Course, it couldn't be that simple. Justin is a trusting person, it isn't surprising he doesn't believe Brian, even if I think deep down he already know Brian wouldn't lie to him that way. And Brian is hurt by Justin's reaction but he still wants him, which shows how deep he has fallen already. Oh, and I love Gus :)

great chapter my friend!

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend - thank you for reading, and for your comments. I know this wasn't a popular direction to take it, but I thought it was more realistic. Justin WANTS to believe Brian, but he is also extremely enamored with his new job, and desperately wants to trust that Winslow is not the way Brian depicts him. So he is very torn at the moment.  He will soon find out the truth, however, and will have some major groveling to do.;)  Although, calling Justin 'a child' probably didn't Brian's case help, either.;)

Thanks so much for reading, and for the taking the time to leave a review. I greatly appreciate that. *Hugs*  ~Kim

I knew Brian telling Justin about his boss wouldn't go well. I didn't think it would go so badly though. I'm sure Gus is right though and I am looking forward to seeing how Brian fixes it all. Looking forward to more as always!

:)

Author's Response:

Hi, Susan! Well, i pondered how to proceed with it, and I really thought this was more realistic.  Justin is very attracted to Brian, but relatively speaking they have not known each other all that long, so he is still torn as to how much to trust him.  And he also desperately wants to believe that Winslow is being genuine with him, and loves his internship, so he is clearly confused.  He will soon learn the truth, however, and it will shed light on Brian's true intentions.

Thank you for bearing with me while I sort the boys' mess out.  And thank you for the comments; they are greatly appreciated.  *Hugs* ~Kim

Ha I thought Justin would not believe Brian oh well we shall have to wait for his boss to indite himself

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris!  Yeah, definitely did NOT go as smoothly as Brian would have liked.;)  He will soon manage, however, to convince Justin that he had been truthful, and a certain blond will have an apology to bestow - and some crow to eat.;)

Thanks for reading, and for trusting me to get this mess straightened out!  I hope you continue to enjoy it. *Hugs*  ~Kim

So it turns our our blond didn't believe Brian minute number one...wow! I hope like hell that whatever Brian has planned next actually works.

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara - well, I think part of the reason is because despite his attraction to Brian, they still are relatively strangers to each other. They really have only known each other a fairly short time, and Justin is so enamored with his job that he wants to believe Winslow wouldn't do that. Perhaps that's not fair to Brian, but, again, he's torn about whom to believe at this point. As you may notice, he IS having second thoughts about it, and is still not totally convinced that Winslow is on the up-and-up. I think Justin is a proud man, and wants to make his way independent of  Brian's help, so that may have had a bearing on his emotions.

I guess readers aren't too happy with this turn of events. :/ But things will change soon to where Justin will realize who his allies really are, and then I think I can see some serious groveling going on.  I hope despite this twist that you will still continue to read and enjoy the story. Thank you for reading thus far, and for the support, Tamara. I deeply appreciate that.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

It's such a shame that Justin doesn't believe Brian.  I'm assuming that Kent doesn't really know whether Winslow is homophobe or not.  He's straight so he might never heard Winslow rant.  What is Brian's plan?  I'd really like to know asap.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend. No, Kent is in the dark as much as Justin; he really isn't trying to be deceptive. I just think Winslow is very selective about whom he discusses his homophobia with, and for whatever reason he has chosen to confide in Palmer, which may come back to bite him in the butt.  That may give you a hint.;)

I hope you continue to enjoy the story, and will give me time to bring the boys back around to a happier place. Thank you as always for reading, and for the comments.  *Hugs*  Kim

Justin should know that Brian is a very honest man. Maybe he should overhear Winslow saying something. He should have believed Brian.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lorie! Thanks for the comments.  I get the impression readers aren't happy about this turn of events.:/  Completely understandable, but Justin really does not know Brian that well just yet, so he is still somewhat confused about whether his motives are 100% pure. I do know he has doubts about Winslow, too, but at this point he can only go by what all the evidence says, so he is still torn about it.  I do hope you are still enjoying the story, though, and will give me time to get them back to a happier place. Thanks for reading and for taking the time to leave feedback, Lorie. I greatly appreciate that. *Hugs*  ~Kim
