That was great, I have always disliked that scene how Justin could stand there and let Brian bleed all over Michael and not step in. Justin and Michael both know Brian is going to be gutted when he realises what he did but no apologies no regrets😒
Author's Response: Yes, but I doubt Justin had the courage to go and face Brian and Michael who were going at it that way. At least we know they found their way back in each other's arms, eventually. :)

Good beginning! Please update soon, this sounds liek a great story. Not many people seem to do Canon stuff, so I would love to see where you take this.

I like that you thought to write a story showing a new window into this particular moment. It was a great scene (I loved all of Brian's dialogue) and we never did get to see it from Justin's perspective. Neat idea. Kind of abrupt ending... but I like it because it's unusual.

First I should say I love the gap filler with Justin arriving at Michael's during that episode. I'm glad you didn't stray into anti-Michael territory as so many writers do. The only critique I have is to maybe not repeat so much dialouge directly from the series verbatim, most of us know it by heart and it's just not as interesting as the writer's take on the gap parts. Thanks for sharing, I hope you write more.
Author's Response: Thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I know there was too much dialogue from the series, but I needed it there to work around with what I wanted.
I'm not exactly anti-Michael, so I don't really make him mean in my stories.

I love how you wrote this. I have to think though that growing up the way Brian did, the happily ever after just doesn't translate. He never had that. But I always thought it so cruel of Michael to say "He left because of you. Who wouldn't." So when do you post again?

Congrats on publishing your first fic on here, and thanks for posting it for us to enjoy. I especially liked the interaction between Justin and Michael; I think you handled that well and kept them very much in character.;) Funny coicidence, too, because I am actually working on a fic behind the scenes that has to do with this exact same episode, but it will be a lot longer and will be sometime in the future before I can really work on it, much less post it.
