Wow… what an epilogue. I was both sad and happy, it’s such a bittersweet ending. I’m happy for Chris, I love his boyfriend, but most of all I *love* how he and Justin are still friends. Oh, how I wish it was like that in canon! Terrific ending, incredible story – thank you so much for it! I’ll love to reread it in future. I had really great time reading it and I’m going to miss it so much!

Thank you for this story, it's quite unique and gives a different perspective on what could have happened between Justin and Hobbs, if Hobbs hadn't succumbed to his fears and the hate he had learned from a young age for gay people. It was great going in Hobbs' mind and see how petrified he was to be found out. He was so endearing at times and sometimes quite infuriating.

I have to confess I wished that more had happened between Justin and Hobbs. It's because you did such a great job showing us their friendship, complicity etc. It was nice also to see Justin with his own life, exploring things by himself. Thanks again.

 I was looking for a story like this and when I couldn't find one I decided to write one that explored chris' sexuality. I wanted to portray him as a realistic teenage boy, hence the endearing and infuriating factors ;)

Honestly I did consider getting chris and Justin together at the end but I didn't have the heart to break Brian and justin up! I would have also written more scenes between chris and justin but I really wanted to conclude the story and wasn't sure how I would otherwise drag it on for longer, although I would have loved to have continued it.

I liked this journey of self discovery for Hobbs. It is a hard road for some dealing not only with the usual teenage angst of entering relationships and impending adulthood, but also trying to understand and accept the reality of sex and their own sexuality. Very empathetically portrayed and I liked the friendships gained and maintained years later. I look forward to your future posts:-)

What a unique and interesting QaF AU! I just discovered your story yesterday and powered through. Couldn't even take the time to leave comments because I was so engaged by your story.

I like the way you show Chris discovering himself, with Justin's help, and turning into a hero instead of a villain. I especially like the way they've become fast friends and go to each other for advice. It's also appealing that Chris and Brian are friendly (once jealous Brian recovered his equilibrium). :)

I really like the HEA, that Hobbs and Sunshine are the best homosexuals they can be.

One question: Did Hobbs state his sexuality to the Pittsburgh Steelers when they recruited him? I'm curious because that's still dicey for athletes.

I'd be interested in reading about Chris and Dane's first date.  I'm especially looking forward to your Brian and Justin stories.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and give me your input. I really did want to depict chris as a hero with deep flaws and fears to overcome. I am glad that you got that. I really wanted the boys to be friends in the future for this story, so that's how it turned out! :) 

Chris is out of the closet, but he doesn't really openly talk about his sexuality because it doesn't define his personality,  it's just a part of him. To answer your question, no the football team does not know about his homosexuality,  but it is possible for them to find out in the future as he doesn't hide it.

Brian really is afraid of losing Justin to someone else, so it is easy for him to get jealous ;)

Chris' feeling for Justin run deep and true, but it scares him to bits! He's never felt this way before and he is afraid of being gay; of what people will think of him. That is why it is so hard for him to accept himself, but you will find out more about that as the story comes to an end. I quite like writing their friendly interactions as well ;)

Damn, I sure do like a Jealous Brian .He's not taking Justin and  Chris "relationship "too well and finding it hard to keep his possecessive nature in check. It will be interested to read how it it unfolds in the next chpaters.

I *loved* Brian and Justin’s part! It was touching and hot. Brian’s jealousy is obvious now, just as his fear to lose Justin. Indeed, Chris is slowly becoming more and more comfortable with himself and who he is; even if he doesn't realise it! It is not all good, however. He still has a long way to go.

As for him and Justin, they are good friends, but there is always time for relationships to change, whether it be in a good way or bad way (hint hint). Justin is beginning to let himself be friends with Chris, rather than act like he means othing to him as he did previously. Justin wasn't exactly nice before in that sense, but he is getting better.

I felt this story needed more Brian and Justin scenes, so that explains the one I gave you. I am glad that you liked it! :)

I am excited to show you what happens next. It brings me joy to know that you like reading this story of mine.

Hi!:) I loved this new chapter, it was amazing – it was so funny and adorable, how Chris was staring at Justin all the time, and how he then looked away in embarrassment :) Daphne is great, I laughed at all her attempts to make Justin admit the truth.

And of course, my favorite part of the chapter- Brian’s jealousy! I enjoyed it sooo much, poor Brian obviously doesn’t know what to do with his feelings and these confusing emotions. He hates the fact that Justin let Chris fuck him. And when Brian hates something, he becomes an asshole.

Chris is still in denial, though. I wonder when he’ll accept he has a big crush. And I can’t wait for him to meet Brian!

We all know Brian as a little possessive when it comes to Justin. I wouldn't say he is confused by his emotions- deep down, he knows exactly what they are and why they are there, however, he just refuses to acknowlede them!

It is true that Chris is in denial and will be for a long time to come. I can't really say much more, otherwise I will give the story away. As for the meeting, I will reveal that in their initial meeting there will not be much interaction between the two. I just hope I live up to your expectations!

When Justin wanted Hobbs to help him find relief from his shit day I thought for sure Justin was channeling Brian Kinney.  I could almost hear Brian's voice and not Justin's.   These guys are hot together and it's fun to read about Chris' new sexual experiences.  Justin is sure to turn him in to the best homosexual he can be. 

The ending was as expected.  Did Justin really think Hobbs would stand up for him against his friends?  Now, let's see what the fall out is for them both.

The fact that Chris actually touched Justin is very important. We can say that he's definitely a different guy now. Maybe he will come to accept his homosexuality? ... yeah, I think it will be a while ...

But now you're not going to abandon this story right? It would be such a shame, cause it's really well written and I love the characterizations. Brian is perfect!
