The Brian and Liam interaction is simply priceless, just as I predicted. Too many awesome lines: "You think its wise to get plastered just before you catch your flight?" was brilliant. Liam is such an adorable kid deep down. A decent guy who does what is right. I love him speaking to BRian to get him to see that this pretend nonchalance isn't working. What's going to happen next?

Author's Response:

Thank you for continuing to read and review! I'm loving all the comments about which parts you're enjoying.;)  I'm dying to write another light-hearted story; so much angst in mine lately!  Hopefully soon I can do that.;)  Thanks again for all the feedback! *Hugs*  ~Kim

Maybe the week apart did them both some good. Now I'm ready for some make up sex, and other sorted details...

Later Darling ~ Kathleen

Author's Response:

Hi, Kathleen!  "Sorted" or "Sordid?"  LOL!  I think I can maybe cover both; will do my best.;p So glad you been enjoying this. Thank you for the comments, and for reading; should have the last part up shortly.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Loving it come on Brian make a move

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris!  Not to worry; he will.;)  I'm sorry, BTW, that I haven't gotten the last part posted yet (although, there could be an epilogue possibly to what I already wrote, so it might be the 'next-to-last' part). Anyway, it's be an extremely busy weekend! I should have it up later today when I get home from several errands. Thanks for reading and for the feedback!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Maybe he'll take Liam's words to heart. I like that Justin avoided them although I did like the friendship he and Liam were forging. Oh Brian, getting down on your knees doesn't always lrad to proposals and blow jobs. Think about that.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend! Thanks as always for your comments.;)  I think you're about to get your wish.  Yes, if Brian had only spoken up a little sooner, perhaps it would have made a big difference on the show, but then again, maybe they both needed to mature in some ways.;) Thanks again for reading, and for the feedback! Should have the final part up either later today or tomorrow.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Sorry I haven't had a chance to review before this!  But I love it so far!  All the jealousy and tension.  Gaw, if only Brian in the show had someone to knock some sense into him.  Can't wait for more!  <3

Author's Response:

Hi, Jessie! Good to see you on here.;)  I'm happy that you're enjoying it.  I love a jealous Briant, too.;) Thanks for reading and for the comments! Should have the final part up either today or tomorrow. *Hugs*  ~Kim

I just love it ... Would their ever be a day when I will be disappointed with your writing ?? Don't think so ... Amazing and love the daily updates :D

Author's Response:

Hi, Sabiha!  You are so kind; thank you for saying that.;)  That really makes my day. I'm so happy that you are enjoying this.:) As I told another reviewer, I will probably not post new (multi-chaptered) stories going forward now unless I have them finished (with the exception of the two WIPs I still need to complete), so readers will not have to wait so long in between updates.  It is SO hard to do that, because I want to post them, but I think that is best for readers. I will do my best to stick to that resolution.;)

Thank you again for reading, and for your support!  I should have the last/final part up later today.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hi Kim! Great chapter...:) Liam is very nice. <3 I hope Brian can safe the relationship with Justin. They belong together, but Justin has suffered enough. :( Poor Baby. I want more...;) Please...

Many greetings, Myriam

Author's Response:

Hi, Myri, my friend!  You are so sweet to leave comments after reading; thank you for that.;)  Yes, Liam did the right thing by stepping aside; after all, he can tell where Justin's heart belongs.;)  BTW, I have started a new story where Brian really has competition for Justin; but alas, it will have to wait a while. I am going to try hard NOT to post any more new stories now unless they are done, and I have a LOT in the wings.;)  Have to finish my two WIPs first, though, but I do think I may have a story ready for the challenge before the deadline (crossing fingers!).

I should have this final part up later today. Thank you again for the support, Myri!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

glad Liam got Brian realizing and thinking that he needed to go see Justin-  now let's hope Jutin isn't his stubborn self and the two actually talk

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandy - first of all, thanks again for reading, and for your comments, my friend.;)  Well...It wouldn't really be B and J if there wasn't at least a little stubbornness on both their ends.;) But you know me well enough to know I will leave them in a happy place eventually.;) Should have the concluding chapter up later today.  Thanks again for the comments! As soon as I can catch a breath, I will definitely be catching up on your story.;)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I'm a little disappointed as it looks like you are winding up this fic.  It has been thoroughly enjoyable to watch Brian squirm as Liam makes a play for his man. :D   I like the fact Liam had to remind Brian that he could actually go and see Justin in person, lol, what have our lives become?  I'd say hurry back, but then it might all be over so now I'm in a quandary; oh, I know, hurry back if it's not the final chapter. :D

Cheers :)

Author's Response:

Hi, Flossee!  Had me worried with that 'I'm a little disappointed' beginning until I read the next part of it - thought you were disappointed with the story; very relieved - LOL! And yes, it will probably be wrapped up in the next part, unless I write an epilogue. Have to get back to my WIPs, and have started on a challenge story, although even with the extension, I'm not sure I'll get it finished; hopefully.

Thanks so much for reading, and for your comments. They are greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

"Struck out, eh, Brady?"

“If you don't get your head out of your ass and see what's right in front of you, you're going to LOSE that boy.”

“As much as he loves you, he is too amazing a person to stick around and be your perpetual whipping dog."

“But I can tell he's trying to repair what he did. You, however, are NOT making it easy on him."

“And I don't think Justin's talents include being a mind reader."

“Chances were, also, that whoever it was, Brian had had him first anyway.”

"You're worth it."

Oh, what a difference a little sleep makes! I submitted the last review and then thought about that Brady was the one making the advance, not Justin – who, sequentially, made like a bat out of Hell. I was too sleepy to delete it and figured I would get around to correcting my error later but it didn’t happen. Nevertheless, Justin was not at fault. I haven’t read your complete response only because it would be a moot point. I totally agree and this chapter continues to prove that point. 

There were so many poignant things stated in this chapter that I nearly quoted it in entirety. I could see the friendly competition between the cousins and at the same time I could see how much Liam cared for and looked up to Brian. Liam was able to point out the relationship objectively. I think Brian’s friends were too close to the situation and some a little too biased, no matter how well meaning. Even Daphne was Justin’s best friend, but a little infatuated with Brian. It was nice having a different perspective from someone who didn’t witness the breakup. I loved that Liam pointed out that basically, even if Justin could read minds, that it’s nice to be told. One of the biggest arguments I’ve heard is that Justin should have known how Brian felt, but even without PSTD or a brain injury, it seemed ambiguous, especially with Brian trying to maintain his legendary image.

I often wondered about the 11’oclock trick and all it signified and why. It did seem like Brian was punishing Justin because of Ethan, but since Brian tricking in his face was a vital reason why Justin left in the first place, it only seemed natural that Justin eventually left again.

Liam telling Brian that he deserved Justin was very enlightening. I always theorized that Brian’s parents had done severe damage to Brian’s self-esteem no matter how he appeared to his many admirers. Did Brian really feel worthy of love or a relationship?
I loved that line about Brian having all Liam’s tricks first, so I had to include it. ;)

Lastly, even though my last review was a mistake, please don’t hesitate to continue disagree with anything I’ve written here. I love seeing different opinions and perspectives.

Great thought-provoking chapter!
Sandra:)

PS: Is there any way you could edit without deleting the entire review?

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandra! No worries.;) I'm just glad you're continuing to read.;  And, as always, I'm grateful for your thoughtful comments.  BTW, I agree with you about Brian and his childhood. I really think he wasn't taught how to love growing up, and that's why he has so much trouble expressing his love for Justin. Thank God for Debbie! Loved that woman on the show.;)

I will have the boys' talk coming up in the next chapter. Thanks again, Sandra. I appreciate your support.*Hugs*  ~Kim

P.S. To answer your question, as an admin I CAN edit review comments. But it's fine; I did not take offense at all with your response.;)  It's not a problem.:)

Liam seems to understand his cousin pretty well.  Still enjoying your story.  I can't wait to see what Brian has to say to Justin.  Bill

Author's Response:

Hi,  Bill!  Thank you for reading this latest chapter, and for the feedback, my friend.;  You will be getting your wish. A certain, stubborn brunet will at last be speaking to a certain, stubborn blond.;  Time will tell, though, how long it will take to come to a resolution.;)

Should have the next part up either tomorrow or Saturday. Thanks again for the support, Bill!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I definitely love Liam. Finally someone told Brian exactly what he needs to hear. I hope he leaves to fight her feelings for Justin.Um big hug, my dear!

Fatima.

Author's Response:

Oi, meu caro amigo! Estou tão feliz de ver você ler esta história.;) Estou feliz que você está gostando. Brian estará pagando uma visita no próximo capítulo. Muito obrigado pela leitura, e por seus comentários, Fátima. * Hugs * ~ Kim

Did Brian forget how to drive, or where Daphne lives? Why did he have to be told to go find him if he wouldn't answer his phone? Great writing, dumb Brian. :)

Author's Response:

Hi, Lorie!  LOL!  Yeah, Brian doesn't always think too clearly sometimes.;)  I think both men are being stubborn here.  And when Brian goes to speak with him, I think that will continue, at least initially. Hopefully, though, they will finally start clearing the air, and then we can all get to the makeup sex.;)

Thanks so much for reading, and for your comments, Lorie! Both are greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I'm loving Liam.  He's Brian without all the hangups and he tells it like it is.  Wonder what Joanie would think if she knew that Cousin Brady batted for the same team as her son.  She married a man whose family producted two queers.  LOL.  Hopefully Liam's parting words have a positive effect on Brian and Justin's non-relationship.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  LOL! Yes, I thought the same thing about Joan.;)  Maybe I'll have to write an epilogue and include something about that.  I'll give that some thought.;p  Although that may just give her a heart attack - ha!  I think the boys will finally get their heart-to-heart coming up.;) Thanks so much for reading and for the feedback, mhy friend.  I appreciate that so much.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: June 19, 2014 06:56 PM · On: Confidantes and the Painful Truth

Finally-maybe Brian will get his head out of his ass and tell Justin how he feels about him. Liam, afterall, was good for some thoughtful information. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, Lindc, my friend!  I think you may just get your wish.;) I know he really didn't do that on the show - at least not in Season 3 - but that's one of the perks of doing an AU.;)  It may take some doing - and it won't be easy for Brian to say - but I think the boys may finally make some headway in the next - and probably last - chapter.

Thanks as always for taking the time to comment; that means so much to me. And please tell Lee I haven't forgotten his favorite story.;)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Reviewer: JAZZEPOET (Signed) · Date: June 19, 2014 06:43 PM · On: Confidantes and the Painful Truth

Uuuuugggghhhh you're killing me Kim! Lol, I will say that if Justin was purposely not answering Brian's Call then he was being very juvenile here. Staying away for the week is one thing, but refusing to keep verbal contact was not the wisest decision for Justin to make.

Brian on the other hand could have gotten off of his ass and gone to see Justin in person when he couldn't reach him by phone. Liam gave him some very good advice and in my opinion, he took way too long to take heed to it. Liam's drunken goodbye served as a huge wakeup call.

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara! Sorry for not responding sooner - been a very hectic day.  I know - very evil.;)  I had to end it at some place, and that seemed like a good spot. The all-important conversation between B and J is coming up.  Hopefully Brian will be able to get through to a stubborn blond. Speaking of which, yes, I suppose it IS juvenile not to respond to Brian's calls, but I think Justin is hurting due to the way Brian is rather cavalierly treating their relationship, and flaunting tricks in his face, because he knows that Justin will have to accept whatever happens after the Ethan fiasco. But on the other hand, I think he wants to make Brian squirm just a little bit, and let him know that he's a little tired of being treated like a convenience.

I should have the next part up either tomorrow or Saturday.  I will probably be able to wrap it up within the next post, and then I can FINALLY go back to my WIPs.;) Thanks for reading, and for the feedback; as always, I am very appreciative.  *Hugs*  ~Kim
