Deb is Michael's mother so it's understandable that she loves him. But in this story, I don't know how Ben continues to put up with him. Poor Ben deserves better. And while the girls are not in this chapter, Mel deserves better than Lindsay too.
Author's Response: Michael and Lindsay both have a serious blind spot and can't accept that Brian has changed. They liked the old Brian that depended on them. Thanks for letting me know you are enjoying the story.

What an interesting chapter. It has been awhile since we've heard from Deb and Mikey. Boy that Michael still thinks he knows Brian. <shakes head> Do you plan to straighten him out? He doesn't seem to care that he hurt Peter's feelings. Really like Ben being the voice of reason and that Deb has finally come to her senses where Mikey is concerned. Hope that they catch Tino soon and wonder what you have planned for Claire.
Author's Response: So many questions. You are right about Michael he still thinks he knows Brian the best. He can't accept that the Brian he hero worshipped for years has changed. Poor Peter got caught in the fallout but Grandmom Jen is on the case and I suspect Peter is due for major support. I started answering the reviews from the top so I'm not sure if this is the first of your reviews or if there are more to come. I am spoiled by the whole multi-review thing you started. a bit hard trying to get things back to normal with brian hovering in mother hen mode.
with all the precautions they've taken, it's a shame they forgot to forewarn michael to keep his mouth shut.
other than that it was a great chapter.

Wow Michael is an idiot and with Alice and Jennifer on him look out. Wonder when you will give Lindsay a chance to be just as stupid as Michael. Peter is feeling really guilty and Alice, Jennifer and Brian's reassurances are not going to be enough. I think he needs to talk to Justin who has become the one adult he trusts and believes over everyone. I keep thinking death by cop is coming for Tino. I also wonder if Brian is going to get a call from social services about John and Peter that will have to be dealt with along with everything else. You know I check daily for these chapters and right now with everything going on I really NEED to know what's next.
Author's Response: Brian warned Lindsay before that she doesn not want to annoy Alice and Jennifer. Michael needed that same warning. He just does not do well with change. I think Peter might be about to get major reassurances. I get the impression that you don't think this is a good place to end the story. Don't worry there is more to come. It's wonderful what good people Alice and Charlie are, and how lucky that Brian and Justin found them.

What a lovely chapter Justin must be laughing inwardly at all the coddling he is getting. Brian is such a protector and he sometimes goes just a little too far and he can see how his behaviour is modelling to Gus. Bloody Michael what a wanker he just goes from pot hole to pot hole!
Author's Response: I think inwardly Justin loves all the coddling he just enjoys giving Brian a hard time about it. Justin has told Brian in the past that his protectiveness might be genetic so it amke sense for Gus to have that same protective gene. Plus little boys iften try to imitate their Dad. Michael just can't help himself - can't accept Brian has changed. Bill
