I'm so sorry, but I don't think I wrote you a review on this story when the challenge was over. Please accept my humble apologies and my thanks for writing such a fun summertime tale. I've never been to P-Town myself, but it sounds wonderful. I'll have to put it on my own bucket list for the future. Loved the character of Shampagne, too, BTW! TAG

So adorable.

I really enjoyed this.  I didn't get a chance to read these when they were published but I had some time now.  I love the romantic Brian and the Brian that is politicaly active- wow.  Nice to see it play it forward to.

Funny stuff here. Loved Brian telling Justin to stray away from old tire clothing and his comparing tiny Michael and Justin to small dogs.

Okay, this chapter made me cry and I wasn't in the mood to do that but the ending was wonderful.  This is so different from because the gang are IC and its not the same story of Brian and Justin falling in love story.  There's nothing wrong with that but everyone does it and I find it boring.  Some of the other writers write like bad romance novelists and the story are so long that I have to scroll through them to get to the real action.  I really loved this and I love your writing.

stupendous story. Sooo different, in a very good way, from a lot of stuff out there. Hope there is more of this sort of tale from you someday. But regardless, at least we have this.

That’s a very clever reason to enter the challenge; to "spotlight" your fics, as I agree if you aren’t constantly writing then they might not attract attention. I think I read somewhere you are one of the authors here that would like to be published one day; well I wish you the best of luck with this goal. Your ideas are unique and your writing is spot on, never over explaining or getting bogged down in unnecessary detail and very entertaining from the get go. Congratulations on the blue ribbon; it’s nice to see your work recognised.

Cheers

Your stories are addicting, this is my 3rd time reading this and I've read your other ones to.  They get you involved and I feel what they feel.  so good.

Hello, Laura!

I liked both of their history.

You managed to put emotion, humor and romance, all in the right measure.

The ending was amazing. Brian Justin kissing because it is only necessary ... WOW! Issso is much more romantic. It's magical!

Great story!

A big hug!

Fatima.

PS: Sorry about the mess I made to answer your comment.

Author's Response:

Fatima,

Thank you for your kind words.  Congratulaltions on your story, it was well received.  I think you and Kim are the top contenders to win the challenge.  (I'm just happy to be read and commented on.)

All the very best,

Laura

Brian brushed his lips over Justin’s.  “Do not think of this as romantic, it’s just… necessary…” He licked Justin’s lips and then captured the blond’s lips with his own. ....  so classic Kinney..he so gives a shit :)

I really enjoyed reading this, it was well written  and hugely entertaining ..looking forward to more fics from you, Kimi

I loved this story!!! *0* So romantic!!! >_< I loved the part at the restaurant with the boy that reminded Brian of himself... and Brian's speech.... and the "ridiculously romantic" ending! (which for me is "unbelievably romantic" :D) Anyway, I love this! Hope to read you soon in another story! (maybe a sequel of some sort? :D) Kisses!

the best. so many different kinds of stories!

Author's Response:

Jay,

Thanks so much for your kind words.  I like variety, my basic modus operandi is to see how I can change the settings and plot dynamics, but still keep it all IC.  It's a challenge.

Thanks for hanging in there with me and commenting all the way along.  I really appreciate it.

So 'necessary' and romantic.  The best ending!  Loved this story so much!

Reviewer: yvonnereid (Signed) · Date: August 26, 2013 09:55 PM · On: Chapter 4

OMG!!! Wow, you did an amazing job with this Laura. I really enjoyed the whole story alot.

That speech Brian did almost had me in tears at his love for Justin. He bared his soul to the public, the world and that kiss....thud!

I really loved '“Well, that’s what I tell people, but actually the seed of the foundation began to develop three years before that, when my partner… he’s that beautiful blond standing against the wall… who is trying to hide behind the man in the purple and pink striped shirt…” The gang was standing to the right of the stage, against the wall, and as Brian stated, Justin was trying to hide behind Emmett.' I could just imagine Justin hiding behind Emmylou lol,. poor sunshine.

An amazing job my friend, and the end part where they shared that kiss on the beach 'because it was necessary… not just ridiculously romantic…was really bloody romantic haha. I loved it alot.

I hope to read more stories from you again my friend ~ Yvonne xx

Each chapter was better than the previous. This was my favorite. That speech Brian gave had me silently applauding and the ending was ridiculously romantic. Thank you for sharing this story and I look forward to more.

I wanna go to P-Town!

Great fic.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: August 26, 2013 10:59 AM · On: Chapter 4

What can I say.  You've taken us on a wonderful trip to P-Town and made me wish I could go.  Brian certainly has come a long way, and that speech of his - well I really wish that someone would make that sort of speech and not change a word.  All in all this story was necessary and just a little slightly romantic.

Reviewer: Flossee (Signed) · Date: August 26, 2013 10:12 AM · On: Chapter 4

Once again you have surprised me with where you have taken
this fic.  I love the way Brian conducted
himself and his dialogue.  Emmett and
Justin; I enjoy people writing a closeness in their relationship.  Bravo, that you didn’t need the men to be
married and live happily ever after with 2.5 children.  I really relished the ending; as not too many
authors are bringing in new ways for Brian and Justin to express
themselves.  Brilliant.  Good luck with the challenge; you have an exceptionally
entertaining fic here.

Cheers

Author's Response:

I apologize for my delayed response to your kind comment.  Work <head thud>... it's one of my busiest times of year.

Thanks for mentioning the areas that you enjoyed, the feedback is very appreciated.  I entered the challenge so that I could get my stories some "spotlight" time.  I hoped that this one and others would be read and commented on.  Getting supportive feedback, getting encouragement helps me try new projects.  So, an incredible big hug to you for kindness and support.

All the best,

Laura

You finished it, Congratulations !  The story did grow on me and it was fun just now reading it all together.  Liked the strong social political statement in this chapter blended in seamlessly with all the fun and games. Basically I really admire the range of what you can write.

Loved the ending, remember I told you that I was disapointed they wouldn't be going to the beach ...?  I'm glad they did go and that it was ridiculously er ... necessary.  ;-)

I love Truro Winery!  My favorite wine from them is their Diamond White.  It's in a blue bottle shaped like a lighthouse.  They get their lighthouse bottles made in Itally especially for their winery and it's been patented as well.

Now that I'm done gushing about the wine... Another great chapter!

nice ending - very satisfying and heartwarming!

love the snarky 'no romance' interpretations - one day Brian will just be able to call it as it is - but in the meantime - so glad that Justin understands the Kinney manual - cover to cover!

good job,

Charle

Author's Response:

Charle,

What a beautiful story, Laura!  Full of love, imagery, and friendship.  And I think it shows how far Brian has come throughout the years.  I'm so glad to see you writing again. I hope you will continue to do so as time permits. Thank you for participating in the challenge, and for sharing such a wonderful piece of fiction with us!  *Hugs* ~Kim
