I am pleased to see that Brian did not feel the need to hide his condition from Justin. He has learned to depend on his partner for love and support. Thank you for this touching story.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you enjoyed the story.  As I see them in the future, they are there for each other's triumphs as well as set backs.

It's nice to see them in the future as Gus has quite the age Brain has when he met Justin. The news they got is disturbing but Brian seems ready to fight, with Justin by his side.

Great story!

Author's Response:

Thank you.  This was probably the hardest story I've ever written and as I reread it, I still like it

"'Thank you,' he whispers as he lies his head down on Justin's shoulder, a favorite place, comforting and familiar."

This was beautiful.

Author's Response:

Thank you.  Justin and Brian are each other's comfort.

This was beautifully written. It was the perfect example of why words aren't always necessary.

Author's Response:

Yes,  There are times that actions do speak louder than words.

beautiful...and so unbelievably pertinent for today...3 years to the day since my mother passed away...and having just come home from helping a dear friend through her hospice intake as her family brought her home to spend her last days...thank you for this story! I love the emotion - and share your relief that is is not a death fic - I hate them, too!
