I liked the introduction of Shane. Brian didn't just get Rena back but a whole new family. The problem was that the whole family was broken and abused at some point. That probably makes the bond tighter.

True. The one thing I liked about QAF was the non conventional, troubled, broken, plain old fucked up family relationships. I just built on that! lol

That was a very interesting way for Rena to meet the man of her brother's dreams. Whether her reaction is a positive or not still remains to be seen.
