Midnight Whispers
QAF Brian and Justin Fanfiction
Reviewer: Vision (Signed) · Date: August 28, 2013 11:35 AM · On: Desolation

So not what I was expecting at the ending and typical Michael to say shit like that to a young impressionable and sometime lacking confident teenager. This was great wrtinig wise but so much angst.

Great chapter

Author's Response:

Hello, Vision - thank you for reading and for letting us know that you are enjoying the story!  Yes, high angst alert here, and Mica is evil, I know (her idea about the cliffy).  And that was a rotten thing for Michael to say; that may well have to be addressed at some point, but I think it's coming from just a bit of jealousy over not having Brian for himself possibly?  Anyway, I think a LOT will have to be addressed here, and yes, Gus was acting like a brat, too, although I think I can see the reason why.

Will do our best to get this updated again quickly! Thank you once more for taking the time to comment!  It is greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

^_^ Great great update. and interms of writer point of view, it's a great hanging! i think ^_^.

Knot after knot, hoping they will be solved quickly though. My heart won't be able to endure it for long.

Thank you so much Kim and Mica for this great story. Even though it's not completed yet, but at this rate, i believe it's still this great when it finish.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetheart! Welcome to Midnight Whispers!  I'm so happy to see you on here.  I remember you well from LJ.:)  Thank you for reading this story and for leaving us comments.  We really appreciate that!  And yes, there is a lot of hurt and heartache right now between the boys, and there will be a lot of problems that still need to be resolved.  We both hope you continue to enjoy it, and will continue to follow along.

Thank you again for the support!  Please keep in touch.  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

Fucking hell?!!!
Why'd you do this to me?! I simply CANNOT wait for an update.
oh.my.glob.
fantastic !!
-Marina

Author's Response:

Now, now, Marina...slow the breathing down. Repeat after me - Justin will be okay, Justin will be okay....;)  Seriously, you know I would never kill the poor guy off; I could never do that.;)  This will be a good thing in a weird sort of way to get some priorities in order. Will tell Mica that she needs to work on her next part of the chapter pronto! Thank you very much for reading and for the comments, my friend; it is greatly appreciated.:)  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

Oh, no!  Justin is hurt.

What a way for Gus to find out - finding them in flagrante.  Sheesh!

- Jackie

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend - 'in flagrante' - ooohh...big word.  You're good!  Yeah, not the image you probably want to see with your Dad and your (hope-to-be) boyfriend - ha!  Will instruct Mica that we need another chapter very quickly before readers begin to rebel....thanks for reading and for the comments, Jackie.:P)  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

oh-   you have to fix this-  you left us in such a bad place-  Owen, Gus, Brian, Justin, and poort Tristam-  happy endins please

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandy - now you know I won't leave them all unhappy and broken (in Justin's case, literally!).  This will open up a lot of eyes, I think, hopefully Gus's especially. Poor Tristan - the guy definitely needs a break, too!  Anyway, will instruct Mica, my co-writer, to get to work on the next part pronto! Thanks for reading and for the comments, my friend.  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

What?!  Oh no.  Nope.  No.  No.  You are NOT ending there.  Cruel.  That's what it is.  It's hearltess.  That was all sorts of horrible.  Update soon.  Please!!

Author's Response:

Hi, Jessie - hiding under recliner now....can I blame Mica, my co-writer, since it was her idea?  LOL!  I guess I'll have to say mea culpa, though, since I worked on it afterward. There is a reason for all this drama, though; it will help to put a lot of things into perspective here about what is really important.  I think our rather childish son will realize he never really had a chance at all with Justin.  I don't think it will really change things right away, but it WILL have an effect.

Thanks for reading and for the comments, Jessie! Will tell Mica to start to work on the next chapter right away.:) Glad that you're enjoying this one.  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: August 28, 2013 08:32 AM · On: Desolation

OMG! I hope he is ok. More angst for all these people. Hopefully you will get all these broken people back together without too many pieces missing. Great but sad chapter. More soon, pleaaaase.

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc - well, quite a departure from surfer Brian, isn't it?  Yeah, high on the angst meter here. But in a way, Justin's accident will be a blessing (oddly enough),  because I think it will put a lot of feelings into perspective here.  Thanks for reading and for the comments!

Moving onto "My Heart's Desire" for our recuperating man - tell Lee I'm thinking of him and tell everyone hello.;)  Oh, and found out that you do NOT have to be registered to vote in the challenge, but it's only one vote per computer.  Voting should probably start on Saturday and run through next weekend.  *Hugs*  ~Kim and Mica

Reviewer: NoChaser (Signed) · Date: August 28, 2013 08:18 AM · On: New Guy In Town

LOL, Kim and Mica...

Forgive the rant... My blood was running hot (no duh!) at the end of that encounter. I remember when I was a kid and would fight like that with my sister, my mother would literally blow a whistle and tell us we might as well duke it out until someone came up a winner. Of course we never got to that point... (quite)... LOL

And I know that Brian is a different person here, because his history is different. Raising a son from the beginning, etc. He's still fighting that self-image issue where it comes to his son, however. And Gus? Well, I really can't cut him a lot of slack here, hormones or not. He is doing the 'shoot first, ask questions later' routine, with a man who has dedicated his entire life to him. He listened to MICHAEL rather than hearing out his dad. Heat of the moment aside, he believed his dad betrayed him, apparently purposely. (Of course that wouldn't make for quite as exciting a story. LOL)

HEA (Happily Ever After) -  I love them with this pair!

Regarding the challenge: My friend, no thanks is ever needed. This is all in fun, and it should always be that way. (Just glad there wasn't an all expense paid trip to the next RiseNShine con on the line... <evil grin>)

Author's Response:

Hi, Roni - no problem; didn't look at it as a rant as all.:) But thanks for the explanation about HEA. You know we will make that happen before this is over with.  I do think this accident will put a lot of thiings into perspective for both father and son.  And maybe poor Tristan will finally get a little attention here!  Poor kid.;)

And yes, Gus is being a little scamp (and I'm using that word politely).  But I guess that sight would have blindsided him; that might explain it a bit, but not quite condone it.

Anyway, thanks again, Roni!  Will get this updated again soon.  *Hugs* ~Kim and Mica

Wow!  This misunderstandings in this chapter!!!  The pain they all feel!  Justin hit by a car.   Tristan's dispair.  Not to mention Kayla, who knows what Owen has planned for her.  Please tell me you plan to fix all this!

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend! Well, we DO have a lot of 'fixing' to be sure.  But it will get addressed.  So many hearts broken or wounded right now. So much to repair.  But rest assured we will get them all straightened out!

Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment!  I'll tell Mica she needs to get to work on her part of the next chapter right away!!  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

Grrrrrrrr.....

Right now I'm pissed off at all the major players in this story, except Justin. Well... even a little at Justin.

GUS: What absolutely childish, churlish behavior! Even if he was stunned out of his head. From the beginning, though, he's been his (canon) father's son... looking out for number one where Justin is concerned. Cocky ass... I want to turn him over my maternal knee and spank the shit out of him!

BRIAN: Where's the "Shut the fuck up and listen to me!" Brian Kinney? I want to turn him over the other knee, right beside his son and tan both their hides! Grrr...

JUSTIN: QUIT RUNNING AWAY! Say something for once, dammit! (Still, the maturity level disparity between his (somewhat) altruistic actions and Gus' selfish ultimatum to his father is miles wide.)

MICHAEL: WTF??? Telling something like that to a kid! Just, WTF????

Whew... now... got that off my chest. Please, please, please hurry with the next chapter! Don't leave me hanging with poor Justin in peril! Please... pretty please???

Okay... done now. So looking forward to my HEA. ;)

Roni

Author's Response:

Hi, Roni!  Wow, so much in those comments - ha!  Very astute comments, too, I might add.  Well, Gus is a teenager with typical, melodramatic reactions.  Justin here is a contradiction at times - sometimes cocky, strong, and assertive, but also vulnerable and fragile when it comes to Brian, and still just a bit uncertain about his place in Brian's life.  Of course, this discovery didn't help at all!  I think he probably felt it wasn't his place to come between the conversation going on between Brian and his son, feeling that Brian would be the best one to try and explain what was going on.  I think Gus was just too stunned and hurt by what he had found out to care how he sounded or how childish he seemed.

Brian and Gus's relationship is so close in this story that I think Brian feared he was going to lose his son; ironically, not to Lindsay but over the relationship with Justin.  Hopefully he wasn't TOO OOC here.  I think in this story obviously HE is vastly different than the brash, in-your-face type of character he was in the show.

I'll tell Mica she has a responsibility now to get her part of the next chapter over quickly.;)  And I sheepishly admit I'm not sure what you mean about HEA.  Help! :)  Anyway, thanks so much for reading and reviewing, Roni.

On a personal note, thank you, also, for your insightful comments regarding the challenge, and your willingness to withdraw your story in support of mine.  That meant a lot to me and I greatly appreciate it. I'm just glad that no other author had to do that. Thank you.  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

I actually had to take a moment to breathe after reading this chapter before I could review.

Kayla is in danger, unbeknownst to her. Tristan is going to find himself having to be strong for the two people he cares about most, and poor Justin.....please let our Sunshine be okay :(

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara!  I know - I'm sure that ending was totally unexpected. The question is, how will this impact what just happened?  And you know that I would never kill Justin off - so no worries about that, at least.  And who is the driver?  Tristan? Kayla? Owen?  A stranger?  And was it intentional or an accident? Hmm....We promise to update just as soon as possible. Thank you again for the support.

And on another note, thank you for your comments about the challenge, Tamara.  It was greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

speechless..........my.......

Author's Response:

Yep, that about sums it up!  The angst has just gone up a notch.   How will they handle this now?  Will Gus realize what is right under his nose and that he never had Justin anyway?  I'm not sure he will be willing to let go of his hurt that easily, though, although he is being a bit of a jerk here making his father choose.  We'll get this updated just as soon as possible. Thank you for reading and for the comments.  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

Author's Response:

Hello, my friend - yes, that just ramped up the angst big time!  I think this will prove to be a real eye opener, though, for Gus especially.  Hopefully he will realize he never had Justin to begin with. Will that mean, though, that he will allow his father and Justin to resume what they were doing? Hmm..not so sure about that.  Thank you for reading and for the comments!  I will tell Mica that she needs to get to work on her part of the next story pronto!  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

When I first saw this chapter published, my heart literally stopped! I was waiting so much for it. This story is undoubtedly incredible, I savor every line, every word of it. I think it’s fantastic that you two decided to write it together – a story of two great authors just couldn’t be anything but a masterpiece. I can’t get enough of it – especially now, when all angst began.

It’s funny, in a way, how quickly my opinion changes. Before I started reading, I was so sure that no matter what, Justin shouldn’t forgive Brian in this chapter – his words that night were *very* hurtful, they are difficult to forgive and forget. But… when I read everything from Brian’s POV, he suddenly seemed so vulnerable to me, so unsure of himself. He really regretted what he did, so I couldn’t find any anger in me left. I was dreading now what Justin will say, will he be understanding, or too overwhelmed with emotions… I wouldn’t have blamed him – I’m sure Brian wouldn’t too.

Ha, Sofia is so funny, I loved her in that short episode! Brian is lucky to have her :)

I’m glad Justin didn’t use this opportunity with Gus… no matter how much he was hurting. Gus shouldn’t have tried anything, but I understand him – and I admire him, because he is a great friend. I’d even say, he is a better friend to Justin than Brian is in most cases.

Oh… so Brian now knows Gus shared a kiss with the guy he likes so much. Oops, I doubt his reaction is going to be nice when he finally adds two and two. Considering how jealous he usually is…

I hope fervently that no matter what, Gus will not turn against Brian in this Lindsay shit. They should unite – at least temporarily, to fight her. What an impossible, disgusting woman… she is really revolting here. I can’t believe her audacity!

The make up scene was fantastic! You made it incredible, just what I hoped to see – Justin didn’t forgive Brian without a fight, and when he did, it was the sweetest moment of reconciliation ever. I loved it. However, one Justin’s phrase really disturbs me… --- but if you ever do anything like this again - if you ever shut me out again or hurt me like you did this time... ---  - I have a terrible feeling that something like this might happen very soon. Brian’s reaction just *can’t* be good or calm to news like that… and what will he do? It’s scary to even imagine. But hurt and almost destroyed once again, will Justin forgive him the second time? If things go this way, it will be much more difficult that it was here – and it wasn’t easy either.

Tristan is my big soothing prize! I have all hopes that Gus will turn to him once this nightmare with Big Revelation is finally over… what a way to learn the truth!! I’m shocked. It’s even worse that I thought before… I’m *so* happy the next chapter will be published soon! I can’t wait! Major angst is scary, yet amazing, especially written as brilliantly as you do it. Thank you, girls!

Author's Response:

Hi, Katrin! As always, your very thoughtful comments both amaze and overwhelm Mica and me in the amount of time and care you put into them.  Thank you doesn't seem like quite enough, but I want you to know how much we do appreciate each and every one.  Yes, what a horrible way to find out just who Gus's father is involved with!  And the next chapter, which will be posted very soon, will show how much hurt is produced from this.  The boys will be torn apart in a way that none of them imagine (how's that for a terrible teaser?).

And yes, if Justin had encouraged Gus, that would have been terrible.  I, too, wonder how Brian is going to feel about Gus kissing him, since Gus did not reveal how brief and relatively innocent it was.  And I am glad that you were happy with the way the boys made up and how Brian received forgiveness from Justin, because there WERE a lot of horrid things said to him that night.

We now have a big mess to unravel here!!  Thank you as always for the wonderful feedback, Katrin!  This WILL be updated soon - Mica sent me the next chapter and I'm working on my part of it right now.  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

Woooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!! That is just crazy. I can't believe it happened like that but...wow. I'm happy that Justin forgave Brian and now they have another chance. Gus finding them together...wow. Wow, wow, wow, wow. I am so happy right now. Wow. Umm...wow. I love it. You got to update soon as you can. I can't even begin to imagine what is going to happen now. Ahhhh. Wow. Just...wow.

Author's Response:

Hi, Tay!  I consider it an honor to have you reading and commenting on this one, and both Mica and I are delighted that you're enjoying it. As a matter of fact, we are working on the update right now, and I am happy to report that it is almost ready! Should be posted within a few more days, and we have yet another doozy of a cliffhanger coming up.

Thank you for the feedback!  We'll have it updated again very soon.  Still have a few more twists and turns to go here.  *Hugs*  ~Mica and Kim

Author's Response:

Hello, Saskya!  I know, I know - horrible cliffhanger!  Obviously Michal and I will be writing a very angst-filled chapter coming up, now that the secret is finally out in the open.  I believe she has started the outline for the next chapter, so I'm hopeful we can update the next one a lot faster than this one.  Thanks for reading and for the comments, Saskya!  It is greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim and Michal

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  Michal and I thank you for reading this latest chapter, and for your comments.;)  Yes, we knew it was going to happen eventually. But what a shocking way to find out about it from all standpoints!  Obviously there is going to be a lot of angst coming up for a while, until we can unravel this big mess.

Michal has started on the next chapter, so hopefully it won't be too long now until we can update again. Thank you once more for reading and taking the time to review; it is most appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

I am sorry for not reviewing sooner. I didn't even see this new chapter here. I guess some how I missed it. This chapter was so good-another cliff hanger. The s--t is going to finally hit the proverbial fan.=, can't wait for that. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc - no need to apologize; now I feel like I shamed you into it - LOL!  Thank you, though, for reading and commenting, my friend. Michal and I do appreciate that. And yes, next chapter obviously will be full of angst now and a lot of pain, at least initially.  I just posted the next chapter of the challenge story, BTW; I hope you continue to enjoy that one as well.  Hope you're able to get a little rest along the way, too.;)  Tell everyone I send them my best.  *Hugs*  ~Kim and Michal

Reviewer: Lyndsey (Anonymous) · Date: August 13, 2013 01:18 AM · On: Here Comes the Boom!

Follow up to my last review regarding Gus' name. In this last chapter, in the paragraph that begins with, "The hurt and doubt were written all over Justin's face," Brian says Gus' name at least 6 times. In a later paragraph, you wrote that Justin wondered how Brian must've felt "when Gus's mom showed up out of the blue," which shows that Justin is now aware of Brian's son's name.

Hope that helps.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lyndsey - ugh; you are absolutely right!  I can't believe neither Michal nor I caught that major faux pas.  We were doing okay until this last chapter.  I will go in and fix it; thank you for pointing that out.  ~Kim

Reviewer: Lyndsey (Anonymous) · Date: August 12, 2013 08:24 PM · On: Here Comes the Boom!

I'm confused as to how Justin didn't connect the dots when he learned Brian's son's name is Gus. It's not as if that's a super common name these days.

Aside from that, I love this story.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lyndsey - thank you for reading and for the comments.  As far as I know, Michal and I have been careful NOT to divulge Brian's son's name during the story.  Hopefully we did that, but if you discovered it somewhere before this I'd appreciate you pointing it out where it is.  We intentionally sought never to bring up his name anywhere when Brian and Justin were together, just because of that, but we could have slipped up and not realized it.  So if you HAVE seen it, please let us know so we can correct it.

We're glad, though, that it hasn't detracted too much from the story. Thank you for letting us know that you are enjoying it nonetheless.  We are already beginning the next part of this, so the next update should be quicker than this one was. *Hugs*  ~Kim and Michal

Reviewer: Tagsit (Anonymous) · Date: August 12, 2013 09:57 AM · On: Here Comes the Boom!

Okay, we knew this moment - the big reveal - was coming, but did you really have to make it soooo traumatic for poor Gus? Poor kid! So much for that crush, huh? Great cliff hanger, too! TAG

Author's Response:

LOL!  Hey, Tag!  I got you an extension for the fan fic challenge; I can only do one miracle at a time - ha!  Yeah, this had to be one heck of a shock for poor Gus.  Here he's been trying to wrangle a simple kiss out of Justin, and he walks in on Justin and his father hooking up.  Well, at least he should now know that there's no way the two of them will ever be together. But now it begs the question:  what in the world is Brian going to do?  Keep seeing Justin, or give him up for his son?  What a mess!  But you know how much I love the angst.;)

I did hear back from Michal yesterday, BTW, and she's going to start working on the next chapter soon, so hopefully we'll get it updated fairly quickly. Thanks for reading and for the comments, Tag; Michal and I really appreciate that.  *Hugs*  ~Kim and Michal

Sorry, had emergency oral surgery yesterday, not as eloquent as I would like to be.  Really enjoy this story and looking for the next update.

Author's Response:

Hi, Laura!  I see you're all caught up now, and yes, a ton of angst coming up shortly.  How will everyone handle this now? And will it have a bearing on Lindsay's custody bid?  I imagine it won't help things any.  Obviously a lot of people are going to be shocked - and hurt - coming up.  Angst alert multiplied!

We'll work on getting this updated just as soon as we can. Thank you for all the comments, Laura.  I hope you get to feeling better very soon; I can just imagine how uncomfortable that was.  BTW - hope you might be up to writing a summer challenge one-shot - deadline's been extended to 8/25 (hint, hint...). *Hugs* ~Kim

Really enjoying this story.

Author's Response:

Hi, Laura!  Thank you for reading and for all the comments; Michal and I really appreciate that.  I agree; I do think it's important to point out how much Brian loves his son and is a good father to him.  Of course, that's going to make things even worse for all concerned once their 'common link' (i.e, Justin) is out in the open, and it's coming up.  Have to have some angst thrown in there, though!

Thank you again for the feedback!  I hope you continue to enjoy the story.  *Hugs*  ~Kim and Michal

OMG! This is the chapter I am waiting for, but shocks...Kim...Sweetie kindly tell Michal to update the soonest, please… I beg!!! I don't want to wait so long for the next chapter. It will be killing me every day waiting what will happen next. This is it!!! It is out in the open, and what a perfect revelation, caught in the act! I was holding my breath when I was reading that part. Perfectly Done!!! {{{Hugs}}}

Author's Response:

Hi, Cindy! So good to hear from you, and to know that you're still reading. Sorry about the longer-than-normal delay - Michal has some RL issues going on, and I just got back from seeing Randy in his new play, so we're running somewhat behind. But I think we will be able to update sooner next time. I know we left it in a horrible spot! But I also knew the chapter would be way too long if we tried to extend it beyond where it ended up, and we wanted to get that update posted as soon as possible.

Obviously there's a lot more angst coming up here! What in the world will Brian do now?  Give up Gus to Lindsay or give up Justin?  Neither one is a great alternative.  But we DO have a plan up our sleeves eventually to make everyone happy again.

Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to comment, Cindy!  We both really appreciate that.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Well, we figured Brian wouldn't be let off the hook too easily based on how much he had hurt Justin, so we did make him work for it pretty hard.:)  But when it was all said and done, Justin's heart was still too deeply involved not to forgive him.

Now that Gus knows who Justin is, however - and how he figures in both his AND his father's lives - it's goiing to be a real angst-filled chapter coming up.  How will they all resolve this? And who will Brian choose?

I'm hopeful that we can update a lot quicker this time. Thank you again for reading this chapter and for leaving us your thoughts; Michal and I greatly appreciate the support.  *Hugs*  ~Kim and Michal

talk about a dropping bomb!

I guess this is where the commercial break would have been if this was a series.

Love it!

Author's Response:

Lol! Well, that would have certainly made them tune back in hopefully.;)

Brian's love for his son - and for Justin - is about to be tested in a big way coming up.

So glad that you're enjoying our story; thank you for taking the time to let us know. We will get this story updated again soon.  *Hugs* ~Michal and Kim

Thank God I was cancelled for four hours because I had to make cupcakes for the kid. I never got any sleep so I figured I could try to catch up with reviewing.

"Dad? Justin?!"

There was no way I could have envisioned Gus finding out this way.

I suppose a threesome is out of the question? ;)

Author's Response:

OMG, girl, get your head out of the gutter! LOL!  I'm not THAT adventurous - ha!  I think even Brian has his standards (albeit they have to be unorthodox ones).  No, I don't think that will work, at least not in my universe.;)  No, he's going to have to try and work his way out of this major problem.  Of course, none of them knew about the other, but it's still going to be a very sticky dilemma here.  Just who winds up with whom at the expense of the other?  I think this will be a true test of Brian's love for his son, and what is he or isn't willing to sacrifice for that love.

So you really DO call him 'the kid?'  LOL!  Thanks for reading and for the comments, Sandra!  We'll get this updated again just as soon as we can.  I have a challenge story and a governor's election to get busy with for a little while.  *Hugs*  ~Kim and Michal

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if I love you or "hate" you right now. This chapter was so good but I need more. I can't wait to read next chapter. Hope Brian won't be too much of an ass with Justin who "shared a kiss" with Gus the night before and with the other things his son told him about his crush.

Thank you so much.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend! I know - poor Gus; the kid just can't cut a break, kind of like Tristan.  He's so mixed up with his feelings, and this is NOT going to help one bit.  And you raise a good point; just how much will Justin and Gus tell him about their relationship?  Brian already knows that his son 'shared a kiss' with this other boy he's interested in, and now he's no doubt going to know that the 'other boy' is Justin; just what does that mean?  You know "Mr. I Don't Do Jealous" Brian; he was already jealous before; how is he going to react when he realizes it's his own son?  Will he even let Justin explain that it was innocent and didn't get anywhere?  Or will Gus run out before any of them can even talk?  This is going to be a mess, but you know how much I relish angst, and this one has it big time!

I'm hopeful that Michal and I can update quickly; we'll do our very best. Thank you for reading and for the comments!  We appreciate the support so much and we're both delighted that you're following and enjoying this story.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Damn it .... You're one mean writer....though I love it...

Not really a great way to find out who your father is dating apparently & especially a horrible way since u happen to fancy the same blondie..... Hugs n kisses Guddy xoxo.... But there's only one Brunette we like seeing Justin with :(

Angsttttt my love at first sight :p

Author's Response:

Hi, Sabyya!  Yes, we're very evil to stop it there.;)  But Michal and I both knew that if we continued from that point, the chapter would probably be three times as long.;)  You're correct; what a horrid way to find out who your father's special 'other' is.  Talk about devastation, especially when it's a teenager who is especially emotional anyway.

Do not fear; despite how it looks, we're both dyed-in-the-wool B and J fans, too.;) We'll slowly get this all untangled somehow.

Thanks again for the feedback and for reading; we are very grateful for the support.  *Hugs*  ~Kim and Michal

oh shit not the way I wanted Gus to find out and with the whole Lindsay bullshit. I hope he doesn't think this is just some random fuck and listens to the whole story of how they met.

Damn need the next chapter soon

Author's Response:

Hello!  Michal and I thank you for reading and for commenting!  Yes, this is probably THE worst possible way to find this out; now Brian not only has to try and explain to Gus what is going on (after his own initial shock wears off!), but he has Lindsay to worry about, too.  Will Gus be so upset that he will decide to run off with his mother?  Or will Brian have to decide between Gus or Justin in order to prevent that?

Obviously there's plenty of angst still to come!  We will get this updated just as soon as we can. Thank you again for the feedback; it is greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Oh man. Not sure how I feel about Gus walking in on his dad and Justin like that. Talk about a rude awakening and soooooo awkward for them all. I am glad the 'secret' is finally out but - ouch, this is gonna hurt everyone.

I am glad to see Gus recognizing his feelings for Tristan. That's a nice surprise.

looking forward to the fallout...I think...! :)

Author's Response:

Hi, Michelle!  Michal and I thank you for reading and for taking the time to comment.  Yeah, as much as Gus must be aware that is father has a healthy sexual appetite, this has to be the worst possible way to find out just who his father is seeing.  Talk about a major blow!  And yes, this will be extremely awkward for ALL of them.  Now comes the cleanup - how is this going to be resolved?  Who's going to be the 3rd wheel here who is left out? Someone's bound to be hurt here.

So glad that you're enjoying the story!  If you hang in there a little longer, we promise to make things right (eventually!). Thanks again for the feedback; we really appreciate that.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Oh Boy!!!! Poor Gus- He likes Tristam and Justin and now to walk in on Justing and Brian.

Glad that Justin gave Brian another chance - I hope that meeting Gus won't put a damper on their situation-  could be very awkward.  More soon please

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandy! Thank you for reading this latest chapter and for your comments;)  Yeah, this is definitely THE worst way for Gus to find out.  Obviously, there's going to be a lot of hurt to go around int the next chapter, and Brian will have to confront one of the hardest decisions he will ever have to make.  Someone is bound to get hurt here; how they untangle themselves from this dilemma is going to take some time.

Thanks again for the feedback, Sandy; Michal and I really appreciate that!  We'll get this updated again very soon.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Oh.... Shit...

Roni

Author's Response:

Hi, Roni! Yep, that about covers it - ha!  Bad enough that Gus discovers (finally!) just who his father's lover is, but to walk in on them in the act itself - double devastation, especially when it involves the tender feelings of a sensitive adolescent like Gus.  Now comes the major angst; what will Brian do to resolve this?  Which one will he give up?  Will he decide that Gus is better off with Lindsay and stay with Justin?  Or will he give up the one man he has found and fallen in love with to keep his son's love?  Major dilemma here!

Michal and I will get this updated again soon; thank you for reading and for the comment, Roni; we hope you continue to read and enjoy the story.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie! Great to hear from you.  I always loved your user name, BTW, although that would keep me up at night - ha!

Terrible spot to leave it, I know; but at least Gus finally knows now and it's out in the open.  But the question now is, what in the world will Brian do?  Justin obviously wants to be with him, not Gus, and yet Brian loves his son and doesn't want him to get hurt. Will Gus understand?  Or will Brian be forced to choose between Justin or his son?  Hm....That's the big question; someone is bound to be hurt by his decision.   Believe it or not, though, Michal and I will get this tangled mess sorted out eventually, but not before some more angst sets in.;)

Thank you very much for reading and for the comments!  We will update this again soon.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Oh no...I really hope Gus doesn't ruin it for Brian and Justin.  They just reconciled!  How will Brian react when he realizes Justin is his son's biggest crush (Well maybe not so big now with Tristan around - but still!)?  He can't push Justin away or he'll lose him forever! Nnnn...This is bad.  Update soon!  I'm nervous.

Author's Response:

Hi, Jessie! First of all, congrats on the wedding!:)  As for the story, you have kind of hit the nail on the head. The most conflicted person of all here is going to be Brian.  He loves his son deeply while at the same time he is beginning to fall in love with Justin.  How will he handle this now?  How can he make both of these boys happy?  Is it even possible?  Which one will he hurt?  Because one of them is bound to be hurt by what he decides to do.  Hmm...There's the rub.

Michal and I will get updated just as soon as we can.  Thank you for reading and for the comments!  We both really appreciate that. *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hey Kim :)

Omg....well the secret is finally out....poor Gus, I can just imagine how devastated he must be walking in on Justin and Brian that way. Now let's see if their relationship can survive this

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara!  Michal and I thank you for reading and for the comments!  Yes, as progressive and deep as Brian and Gus's relationship is, this is obviously a major blow to Gus's hopes of a relationship with Justin. Thank God they didn't go any farther than they did, but Brian will really be in a major pickle here now. What does he do to resolve this?  Hope you will stay tuned!  We WILL get this fixed eventualy.;)  Thanks again, Tamara, for the support!  It is greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

I may cry if Brian ends up without Justin, even if it is only temporary, because Brian saw Justin first and Justin made his intention towards Gus very clear, so it's Gus's own fault for being upset.

Also, I can now focus on Lindsay being a bitch and hating her.

Author's Response:

LOL! Well, you do have that to fall back on.;)  Michal and I obviously have a lot of loose ends to tie up here, between this triangle, Owen's hatred, Lindsay fighting for custody...whew!  Needless to say, it's going to heat up now!  We'll do our best to update as soon as possible.  Thanks so much for reading and for commenting, Nikki.;)  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: August 09, 2013 09:18 PM · On: Here Comes the Boom!

Boom is an understatement.  Lindsay dropped a bombshell, Brian hurts Justin, Gus still doesn't know about Justin and Brian!  The aftermath!  On the plus side, Justin did forgive Brian and Tristan finally made his move on Gus.  Then the final exposion.  Gus finds Justin with his dad!!!  The next chapter is going to be stupendous as we find out how you proceed from here.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  Yeah, one step forward and then two steps back.  Michal and I have our work cut out for us to get everyone to a happy place here.  We all know how teenage hormones are, so Gus is bound to be devastated, at least at first. The main question is, though, how will Brian handle this?  What a major triangle!  Does he hurt his son - or does he hurt Justin again?

Thanks for reading and for the comments.  Sorry, too, about the longer-than-normal delay in updating; my co-writer had some RL issues come up and I just got back from my trip to NYC to see Randy in his play, so we're a little behind.  We'll try out best to get the next update up a lot sooner.  Thanks for hanging in there with us.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

I have no words to describe how freaking ass happy I am right now.

But this means Gus is gonna hook up with Tristan, right?

And that's the worst possible place to end the chapter. But I can't be annoyed, as I'm so happy it's finally happened.

Author's Response:

Hi, Nikki!  I know!  But I think there was really no way to get into what's going to happen now in this chapter - obviously everything's about to come crashing down first.  As for what happens next, there's the real dilemma.  What is Brian going to do?  He can't have both his son and his lover, can he??  Hmm....only time will tell here.;)

Oh! I read the new chapter as soon as I came back from my vacation, but since then, I tried really hard not to think about this story. Cliff-hangers are *evil*! Especially cliff-hangers like yours! That was such an intense chapter, I was reading with my mouth agape, and now I’m just *dying* to see what will happen next!

This impossible triangle is getting more and more complicated! Justin is waiting for Brian, Gus is waiting for Justin, Tristan is waiting for Gus. And Brian… Brian behaves like a total shit. I can’t believe he could say something like that to Justin!! No matter how hurt he is, it’s not right to vent his anger and pain on Justin. And in such cruel way… I’m not sure Justin will forgive him easily. Justin in this story is so incredibly strong, stubborn and independent. They love each other deeply, but I think Brian needs Justin more than Justin needs him. Especially now, when Lindsay went crazy and decided she has some chances, some rights on Gus! Gus is almost an adult, and he loves his father – of course he would choose him. Lindsay is disgusting!

I wanted to cry when Justin told Nancy everything. It’s horrible to see a strong person like him breaking and hurting so much. I wonder, what Brian will do and think now? Now he isn’t drunk any more, will he regret what he did last night?

It’s a relief that Gus at least shows more and more interest in Tristan, even if he may not fully understand it now. Maybe it will make the truth about Brian and Justin a little less painful. Oh, everything is really so very complicated here! Now, with Lindsay, even more so. I hope Gus won’t make a big mistake and destroy his father, but he has a few reasons to be insanely angry with him. Will he be more angry because of Brian’s being the person Justin dated? Or maybe he will be more pissed off by Brian’s treatment of Justin? I have no idea, but I’m sooo looking forward to finding out! I can’t even think straight, I’m so immersed in this story! Thank you, girls!

Hi, there!  Michal, my co-writer, and I thank you very much for reading and for the lovely comments.  We should be updating this again very shortly, and the big reveal is (finally!) about to happen.  Of course, that will just cause a lot more angst to come until we get everyone straightened out.  But I think I can say on behalf of both of us that we will eventually get them all in a happier place.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandy! Thanks for the comments, my dear.:)  We're hoping to have the next chapter up sometime early next week.   And the 'big reveal' should be in that chapter (at last!).  Obviously, there's more angst coming before everything is ironed out, and yes, someone is definitely going to get hurt here - in more ways than one. Hello! I am back to reading. I don't know if you remember me or not. I have been traveling over in Europe and have just returned to the states. I left my phone and laptop at home so I could spend my time studying and checking out the local sites and atmosphere. It was great, but now back to my life as it were. I really love this story. I see there are two of you on this one. It surely is a wonderful colaboration. What a wonderful plot. so many twists to it. Now I am left to wonder where this will end up. I trust not too happy for some of the participants. Wonderful story line, am really enjoying it. I now have to catch up on your other wips.

Author's Response:

Hi, there! Yes, I DO remember you! So good to hear from you again!  Sounds like you had a great time in Europe; hope it was a wonderful adventure for you.:)   I give you a lot of credit for leaving both your phone and your computer at home; I know what a big temptation to take them is, but I'm sure your experience was even richer as a result.

Michal and I are delighted that you are back to reading, and that you are enjoying this story.  Yes, this is the first story that I have ever co-written, but I am enjoyig helping to write it immensely. I really like the story plot that Michal has crafted here.  Right now things are kind of in a mess with the boys - and the big reveal is coming up in the next chapter, which promises to make things even MORE tense.  But I promise that we will get them all straightened out eventually, and they will all come away happier.:)

Welcome back! I hope you enjoy catching up on some of my other stories.:)  Thank you for reading and for taking the time to comment.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

went on several sites to acertain his age. Can't find it anywhere. Was wondering if he is Randy's age or older or younger. Nosey much!!!! I will stop with the questions, but I have to go to the source when I have questions about the guys. Gale looks pretty sexy on horseback. I wonder if that movie will be released to all of us in November or just where it was shot? Time is up-have to do more housework ugh!!! lol

Author's Response:

Not sure about his age, but I just saw something from 2011 that stated he was 28.  So I'm assuming he's around 30, which would make him a little younger than Randy. And yes, Gale looks quite comfortable on that horse; apparently that is why he had to wear that beard for the con.  He looks pretty hot as a Civil War soldier, doesn't he?  Not sure when the movie will be released, but is has a lot of well-known names in it, so I'm hoping it will have a widespread release.  I'm looking forward to Such Good People, Randy's movie, being distributed eventually, but they will have to find $ support to do that, so it's hard to say when that will happen.:)  Keep those questions coming - Ha!  (After the housework first...).;)

checked out nick mcgough. OMG!!!have you seen his pictures-especially the nude. I think Randy is one lucky guy. lol

Author's Response:

LOL! Yeah -  but I've ALSO seen some other ones that might indicate the 'impressive' ones have been photoshopped.:)  Only Randy can tell us, and I"m sure he's not volunteering that information - ha!

I checked out the picture---sooo good. She has some amazing pictures also.Thers is one of Randy and a guy sitting on what looks like a colored wall. Who is that? Just curious. I guess he has a new boyfriend true? I haven't read anywhere who that is. Do you know? I am just nosey for the peeps.

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc.  Yes, she does have some wonderful photos; she stays on top of what's going on with G and R.  Tanya has made a lot of my banners over the past couple of years for me, too; she's very creative.  I think the 'colored wall' is actually the edge of a swimming pool, and the guy with him is Nick McGough, who is purportedly his current beau.  He's a dancer in the traveling edition of "Flashdance: The Musical" touring the country.  Apparently from what I understand Randy went directly from the VIP dinner at the con to Texas to visit him; that was where the show was being performed at the time (San Antonio).

A funny moment happened at the con, BTW, when someone asked Gale what Brian would be doing presently (Brian Kinney, not Randy's old BF), and he said something about him performing in "Flashdance."  I think that was more than a coincidence, don't you?;) But I don't know exactly what he was trying to say.

Randy's back in NYC now rehearsing for his play, "Harbor."  Can't wait to see him in it in early August.:)

Orgrgugfdcbj% $/&£€####asdfghhjkkl i think that is quite the transcription of the noise I just made.

I read the last 3 chapters in a row, and it was so great! So many feels and different emotions... i had a goofy smile, a hand on my mouth and a sad face. Congrats, good job! :) If i had a doubt before, now it is sure I ship badly Gus and Tristan.

The last chapter was my fave... bad lindsay is bad. I hope she won't be the one to reveal the identity of the kinneys men's crush or that she won't go after Justin to ask him to leave Gus alone. "You are so gullible," he told him as Justin's heart promptly broke in two.  "But you WERE good in bed." " my heart also broke.

I am happy,I, finally, had the time to read the last 3 updates. Thank you. Can t wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie!  I understand that first sentence loud and clear - LOL!  My thoughts exactly.  Poor Justin - and Gus.  Justin is in such deep pain right now, while poor Gus is just simply confused by his feelings for both Justin and Tristan.

I really don't think Justin, though, will encourage Gus despite his sorrow at the moment.  I think that will get resolved pretty quickly. The big secret at last is about to be revealed in the next chapter, though, and that promises to open up even more angst!

Hey Kim and Michal :)

First let me start by saying that Lindsay is being a total bitch here. How could she even think that after sixteen years that she has the right to make such demands. Brian on the other hand is making a big mistake treating Justin that way because he's afraid of losing Gus. Once again damn Lindsay for making Brian feel like he is unfit as a father.

This thing with Justin and Gus needs to get resolved soon. As long as Justin keeps sending him mixed messages, Gus will never truly understand the boundaries of their frienship not to mention the strain it's going to put on his relationship with his father once the truth comes out.

Gus should have taken the time to talk to Tristan. It's obvious that he is starting to recognize his attraction to the young man. If Gus keeps turning a blind eye he is going to miss out on the opportunity to share something very special with Tristan.

You know I'll be sneaking in to check for an update in between formation times ;)

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara!  Now don't go getting into trouble - ha!  Thanks for reading and for your comments.:)  Yes, Lindsay is not a nice person here. We will take the fact that you think she's an awful person here as a big compliment, though, because that's exactly the way Michal and I wanted her to be portrayed.  I mean, it takes a lot of nerve to come back into someone's life after 16 years of no contact.  And to answer your question, no, it won't be her that spills the beans about Justin.  She really doesn't know about him yet.  But the big shock WILL be coming up in the next chapter, and there will be plenty of other twists and turns coming up yet.

Also, I think Justin is very vulnerable right now, but even he will realize that he and Gus cannot be anything more than friends; he's too in love with Brian now to consider that, despite his great pain.

We'll get this updated just as soon as possible.  Thanks again for all the support, my friend.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

I may have mentioned I dislike Lindsay at least Mel does not pretend to like Brian! Lindsay is a wispy manipulative bitch!

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris - well, if we have portrayed Lindsay as stiff and unsympathetic here, then our job is done - LOL!  Seriously, she is being totally unreasonable, I agree, and her own son will eventually tell her as such, in addition to what Brian has already said.  Things are quickly going to be reaching a head here very soon - the big secret is about to be revealed in the next chapter.  Thanks for reading and for the comments, my friend.  We'll get this updated again very soon.  *Hugs*  ~Kim and Michal

Hi, Tag - yeah, it seems to be going from bad to worse, doesn't it?  But you know eventually we will get them all straightened out (well, in a manner of speaking, anyway - LOL!). The big shocker's coming up in the next chapter, so get ready.  The angst is definitely ramping up for a while.  Glad that you're enjoying the story, my friend.  Hopefully with me out of school for the summer, I'll have more updating time in between getting familiarized with next year's curriculum.  Thanks for reading and for the comments; Michal and I really appreciate that.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Author's Response:

Yes, Jane, verwy, verwy wough indeed - ha!  You must like Loony Tunes, too.:)  In fact, I think we could say that LINDSAY is Looney Tunes for thinking she's going to waltz in and take Gus away from his father.  Gus is going to have a lot to say about that, in addition to his father. The big reveal is coming up in the next chapter, and that's going to start the craziness all over again (tee-hee). But we promise to fix them all up, good as new, before we're finished.:) Thanks so much for reading and for the comments! It is greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  Michal and Kim

Lindsay is such a b*tch!  I hope Brian velvet with Lindsay and Gus stays where it belongs! Nicely with Brian. As for Justin, poor guy, I hope Brian comes to mind, although in its nature understand his outburst. And then everyone will nicely together and happy. :)
Sorry for my English, it's not my native language, obviously :D

Author's Response:

Hi, Saskya! That's okay.:)  Michal and I are grateful to you for reading and reviewing.:)  Thank you!:)  Yes, Lindsay is definitely the woman we love to hate in this chapter - ha!  But she's about to get the wrath of BOTH Kinney men against her, and it's not going to be pretty. In the meantime, Gus is about to get the shock of his life in the next chapter, along with his father and Justin, as we get ready for the big reveal.  Stay tuned; it's coming up!  Thanks again for taking the time to read and comment, Saskya!:)  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Nice!!!!! cliff hanger. Lindsey what BITTTTCH. Poor Brian pain management 101 again. Hopefuly Jus doesn't give up on him. Good chapter.lol

Author's Response:

Thank you, my friend. I know, I know - everyone's itching for the reveal.  It's coming up at the end of the next chapter. And yes, that would typically be very much like Brian to go off the deep end temporarily and insert his foot into his mouth before he thinks things through. But something tells me that Justin isn't giving up on him - and Brian isn't giving up on him, either.;) Thank you for taking the time as always to comment.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Still loving this story but due the slow pace of the story and chapter postings I'm going to have to step away from it. Hope you finish if soon.

Author's Response:

Sorry to hear that, Donna. But if you have read any of my other stories, you probably know that it takes me a while to get to the big climax, because I tend to write a lot of detail in my storylines.  I suppose that's not everyone's cup of tea, though, so I can understand.  If it's any consolation, the reveal over Justin's role in both their lives is coming up at the end of the next chapter, but I guess now you will be waiting until the story is finished to continue reading.  I CAN tell you that out of 60+ stories, I personally have NEVER left a story unfinished, so you can be assured that any time my name is attached to a story as a writer or co-writer, it WILL be completed. I work full time, am an administrator for this site, have three other WIPs, and do a lot of beta work for others, so I admit sometimes there is a gap between story updates that is longer than I would like it to be.  I am not starting any other new stories until I have at least one more of mine finished, too, to hopefully alleviate some of that delay time.  I do apologize if that is too long a wait for you.

I do respect your decision, and I appreciate the comments. Sorry to hear you will no longer be reading along, though.

Agrrrr nooooo don't stop.
Now come back, sit behind your computer and write !! sorry I'm a little demanding.

But that's a cliffy *sighs *

* hugs *

Author's Response:

I know, my friend; I feel your pain!  But if it helps, the big reveal is (finally) coming up at the end of the next chapter. Not sure which one will be the most surprised, though:  father, son, or Justin himself.  More angst coming with it, too!  Thank you for hanging in there with us inthe meantime; it means a lot to both of us.  *Hugs*  Michal and Kim

P.S.  You can be as demanding as you want; it's when people DON'T want anymore that I would be worried.:)  So we thank you for the support and encouragement.

Brian really does retreat to a dark place here.  I hope he gets out of it and realizes how special Justin is for him.

stories/963/images/Jackie-Icon2.jpg

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend.  I think this is typical Brian - to retreat into himself and refuse help.  Of course, Justin had nothing to do with this, but Gus is too precious to him to stop and think about what he's doing by alienating the one person he needs the most right now.  I think it won't be long, though, before things start to move in that direction.  Thank you for taking the time to read AND review (I noticed this one this time - ha!  We're working on the review notification problem, BTW, and hope to have fix for that soon).  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hello to Kim and Michal! One request....Can u just let Lindsay die in the next chapter, like having an accident? *evil me, hehehe* I just really hate her so much!

This chapter is really sad, you are breaking my heart. I felt so bad for Justin. I hope Brian will come to realize what he had done. He should fight Lindsay @ court, and with this he needs all the moral support esp from the one he loves....Justin. And also hopefully Gus will come to his senses that he is just infatuated with Justin and he has feelings for Tristan that he is not fully aware yet how he really felt.

Thanks for the update sweetie! {{{Hugs}}}

Author's Response:

Hi, Cindy!  We know - very sad chapter.  But believe it or not, it's setting it up eventually to put all the pieces in their proper places.;)  It's obvious that Gus is quite confused here in a lot of ways.  And you're right; the last thing Brian needs is to push Justin away.  Lindsay is more of a temporary blip here to the overall story, if that's any help.;) Some events are coming up that will make some of the characters realize how much they mean to each other - and which pair truly belongs together.

We'll get this updated again soon - thanks for reading and especially taking the time to comment, Cindy; Michal and I really appreciate that.:)  *Hugs* back ~Kim and Michal

Oh no, everything is all messed up and they still haven't even figured everything out. Hopefully Brian will come to his senses and apologize, and Lindsey will fall in a ditch and never be found.

Author's Response:

Hi, Jessie! Thanks for reading and for your comments.  Yeah, Lindsay did a great job of really screwing everything up now, didn't she?  And the angst is just now ramping up - we still don't have the big reveal yet, but it's coming, along with some other twists and turns.  I do hope you're enjoying the story.  We'll get it updated again soon.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

up from my nap-I found out something more upsetting BB may be leaving here to go to another hospital in another state. Needless to say I am very depressed. He said it is not etched in stone yet. H e is just too good and people want him everywhere. Just have to wait and see. Kepp your fingers crossed that if he goes I can go too-either that or I will have to hang up my hat as I can't imagine working for or with anyone else. Just a fyi moment I saw something ob line that caught my eye. It seems Pittsburg is having a big Pride Concert on Liberty Avenue on Saturday and Adam Lambert is doing a concert. How cool is that. I would loved to have gone-wrong place wrong tiome. I went to a pride years ago. So much fun to people watch. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc!  That would be a real shame if both Brian and you were separated, and if you decided to no longer work in your profession.  I can understand how you feel, but hospitals need more people with your dedication and compassion.  That would be a big loss.  I'm sorry to hear that he may be leaving.  He must really be a valuable member of the team to be in such demand.  I wonder what Lee will do if you and Brian leave.  Keep me advised on what happens!

That's funny about the Pride concert, because I was actually ON Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh last September when I went to visit a couple of friends!  I even took a photo of it.  Very appropriate.  How great it would have been to have had the QAF con there during that time!  I know a lot of friends who are great fans of Adam's.  I'll have to mention that to my friend who lives in Pittsburgh in case she wants to go.

Some of the QAF con attendees went to the LA Pride last weekend, but others had to give up because of how far they had to walk from the parking lot.  It would have been great to have gone, though.

Good luck to all of you!  Let me know what happens.  *Hugs* ~Kim

Well!! here I am back in the good ole U.S. of A. Got back at 3:00 this a.m. Am a little jet-lagged but not too bad. This story you guys have put down here is so good. You two make a good team. Sort of like Meredeth and Thyme on another site. You should write more together. I am looking forward to the next chapters when the shit hits the fan. Should be quite an upset for one person especially. My trip was wonderful, did a lot of things and saw lots of interesting things. The nite life there is never-ending, so much to do. I went on your profile page and caught up with all you lucky folks did at the con. My god I was surprised to see hairy Gale. Randy never changes does he?? Still our never aging Peter Pan. He still looks seventeen.I think I caught a glimpse of you. Right?? at the closing ceremonies??? You won a chair. Wow!! You have good luck. What is next on your agenda? are there more places to go to see them. Is Spain an option? I wasn't sure if there was another QAF con there. It seems our accident prone guy has done it again. I don't know what I am going to do with him. I will be going back to work Sunday night as it is very chaotic at the hospital right now-so they are glad I am back and want me to come in on Sunday instead of Tuesday. Well I guess I better get my place shipshaped up and take a nap. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc!  Welcome back!  I've missed you.;)  I'm so glad that you had such a good time on your trip.;)  Yes, the famous chair arrived today via UPS.  It will have a cherished spot somewhere - maybe my bedroom.  Will be the closest I'll come to having Gale in there - ha!  And yes, I did win it - but at auction.  Cost me a pretty penny, too.  I should have probably bid on Randy's as well, or even his alone.  But I didn't know if I would ever see Gale in person again, so I thought I'd rather have something from him for now.

The only other event featuring Gale and Randy that I know of is the Bilboa con next March. I'm thinking of going, but I'm afraid by the time I find out if I can go all the good events with them will be sold out.  Will have to see.  Would love to meet some of the online friends that will be going, along with some others I met at Cologne that are going.

Don't know if I told you about their gifts that I gave them, but you may have seen them on my LJ.  I was so happy that they signed my copy of them.  I wasn't sure they would do that.  It was hard to tell what Gale thought of his, but Randy had a smile on his face, so I think he liked his at least.

Okay, back to the story!  Thanks for the compliments for Michal and me.  I am really enjoying helping to write this story.  The most critical - and angst-filled part - is coming up soon, and yes, Gus figures to be the most upset about it.  But there will be some twists and turns that maybe readers will not foresee as well.

So good to hear from you again!  Tell Lee to behave himself for a while (if he can!), and that I am working on the update to "Heart's Desire."  It's up next.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim and  Michal

SORRY AM LATE WITH THIS REVIEW-BROKE MY WRIST. FELL OFF A LADDER PAINTING MY BEDROOM. WHAT A KLUTZ. ZIGGED WHEN I SHOULD HAVE ZAGGED. BROKE IN THREE PLACES. PAIN, PAIN, PAIN. GAVE ME MEDS THAT MAKE ME FEEL LIKE A ZOMBIE. OFF WORK FOR A COUPLE WEEKS-NOT GOOD. ROOM MATE HAD TO FINISH THE LAST WALL. I DIDN'T REALIZE TYPING WITH ONE HAND WAS DOABLE. I GUESS YOU MUST BE HOME FROM YOUR ADVENTURE BY NOW AND WRITING AGAIN SOON????????? LUV 2 U

Author's Response:

Hi, Lee! What am I going to do with you???  Just when I think you've experienced every sort of unpleasant experience and calamity, you come up with a new one!  You poor thing.  I'm sorry to hear that.  My mother fell off a ladder about a year ago, too, and scared me to death.  Fortunately, it was on carpeting and she only bruised herself.  Sounds like a painful break, too in three places.  Hopefully it was your non-dominant wrist. (?).

Well, you might just have to sit back and read some of my updates while you're off.;)  Speaking of which, I DO have quite a bit of your favorite written, but the con did get me off track.  Now that I'm back (got back yesterday afternoon), I should be able to get back to work on it after my spelling bee Friday.   Yes, for the second time I got snookered into being a participant in our school's team that competes at the annual spelling bee benefitting the local literacy council.  Haven't even looked at the list yet, so I'll be doing that for the next two days.  Ugh!  At least I'm a pretty good speller, but you wouldn't believe the words they come up with!!  LOL!

Had a great time at the con.  Had custom-made bobble heads dolls made up for Gale and Randy - gave them one copy and got them both to sign the base of the other one for my own keepsake, along with other items.  I actually preferred the smaller number of people this time; more intimate.

Take good care of yourself, Sweetheart!  Hope the pain lessens soon.  Tell Brian & Nonie hello, and tell lindc that I hope she had a great time in Japan!  *Hugs and love back to you, too.*  ~Kim (and Michal)

Ah, it’s always such a pleasure to see an update to this story! I’m still on the edge of my seat – it’s getting more and more unbearable to wait for a resolution! When, just when Brian, Justin and Gus will learn the truth? It’s infuriating, though I understand why big revelation still didn’t happen. Brian and Justin are falling deeper and deeper in love - everything is going to be even more complicated in the end, but at the same time I hope Brian won’t push Justin away. Before, I wasn’t sure, but now, seeing how incredibly smitten he is, I started to believe it. I can’t imagine how he would be able to go on without his blond.

Brian and Gus’ relationship touch me so much. It’s amazing how proud of his son Brian is, how he wants only the best for him. It’s so obvious that Gus and Justin are the most important people in his life, those he can’t imagine his life without. I love Brian, so I hope Gus will decide to stay closer to Pittsburgh.

The story of Kayla’s mother terrified me. God, what a woman! I just can’t understand parents like that. Do they really believe money can buy and do everything, including making their children love them? Poor Kayla. Her situation might be better that Brian’s, but anyway, it’s so sad. It’s funny that Brian noticed Tristan’s apparent interest in Gus! Of course, nothing can escape his eyes, especially when it comes to his son. But what he will say when he knows about Justin!..

That kiss Gus and Tristan shared was completely unexpected! I didn’t see it coming, it was a great surprise! And most certainly I didn’t expect that Justin would see that. Poor Gus, I wonder if he realized that Justin wasn’t really affected – only happy for him. Or maybe he decided that he ruined everything they might have in future? I hope when he knows about Justin and Brian, he won’t think that Justin wanted to take revenge on him in this way. Of course if he also understands the dates, he won’t believe it, but being shocked, hurt and angry… everything is possible. I feel so sorry for Tristan! Gus actually kissed him back for a moment – who knows what would have happened if Justin hadn’t appeared? Now both Gus and Tristan are in pain :( I love them as a possible couple, I hope they’ll finally get their chance.

I *loved* the way Brian and Justin were exchanging messages. I always can’t help smiling, seeing how in love they are, like teenagers, really! And Brian is sooo jealous, and it’s very exciting and hilarious to watch him being so uncharacteristically emotional. Justin has changed everything to him, Brian is so different from what he was like in the first chapter. Their sex/love-making scene was *amazing* - so passionate and vivid! Just like always, it evoked so many feelings. Justin has chosen the best strategy to become something more to Brian than just one-night stand – he doesn’t push at all, he makes Brian go after him instead of following him around. That’s impressive! If anyone had this chance, it’s Justin. It was unbelievable (in a good way) how Brian then asked Justin directly if he had been seeing someone else. It’s a breakthrough! He would have never done something like this before! I loved that episode so much! I enjoyed Justin little evil-game :)

Lindsay?! Wow, that was shocking! Just what is she doing there, what does she want?? I’m *so* looking forward to finding out!

Thank you, girls! Great chapter! Actually, it’s interesting how great you two combine together. I can’t see the difference in writing, if I didn’t know, I would have never assumed there are two authors, not one! It’s really fantastic. Thanks to both of you!

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetheart! Sorry for taking so long to respond to your very thoughtful review.:)  I just got back from the QAF con in LA and am still catching up.  Please know how much Michal and I appreciate all of your wonderful comments.  I am very glad that she asked me to help co-write this story, because there are so many fascinating layers to it, and so many emotions that are going to come into play.  Lindsay, while not being a major character in this story overall, WILL manage to cause some unexpected problems with her appearance.  And the big reveal is coming up soon...promise.  It will be a big shock to everyone, especially Gus, due to the manner in which he finds out.

Yes, I enjoy the texting going on, too; I think it's very contemporary in light of what would happen in a present-day world.  I hope that Michal and I are realistically portraying the ever-deepening relationship between Brian and Justin.  It will cause an even bigger dilemma for Brian in the future, as he is more or less forced to choose which love to follow.  Quite a decision to make!

Thank you again for always taking so much time and care into your comments!  Michal and I are always thrilled to read them.  We'll work on getting this updated very soon.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hi Kim and Michal!!! I love the conversation of Brian and Justin in this chapter, it's like falling in love over and over again, I felt the enormous joy and dreamingly sigh. The goodbye part is emotionally overwhelming. I am only worried of Lindsay coming in the picture. I hope this will not create problems with the father and son relationship.

{{{Hugs}}}

Author's Response:

Hi, Cindy! Thanks for reading, Sweetie.:)  I'm glad you liked the boys' interaction in this chapter.  I think it shows how deeply they are falling for each other, and how painful it might be when they find out what's going on.  Lindsay was a surprise, wasn't she?  She will be the indirect catalyst for some issues coming up before everything is out in the open, too.

Thanks again for the feedback!  We'll get this updated again soon.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

I haven’t been able to review as quickly I did before, but I do still review. I read your updates as soon as I can; it’s just that I can’t review them until later. :p

I read this update with less anxiety because I knew Justin would not be revealed to the two Kinney men. I wasn’t anxiously racing to the climactic scene I have been looking forward to and so I enjoyed it so much more. It’s different reading about Brian raising Gus all on his own. I have forgotten, is he still the Stud of Liberty Ave? Anyway, they do have a closeness that is palpable and Brian being so closer to his age could be one of the reasons. I can’t help thinking about Gus having a stepdad his own age and having to really do homework together, LOL. That should be interesting around graduation day.

It’s a shame about Kayla and her mother, but I have to sound like a snot and say I don’t really care, LOL. Besides, at least her mother makes some effort. Lindsay hadn’t even been in contact with Gus. Speaking of which, please don’t tell me she’s going to become the picture of motherhood all of the sudden. I’m with Brian on this one. That was some cliffhanger.

I almost forgot, that bathroom scene of Gus and Tristan was hot! I can’t believe Gus left that behind to chase after Justin. It must be true love. Yep, holidays should be pretty interesting in the Kenny household after Justin and Brian marry, LOL.

Sandra :)

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandra!  Thanks for reading and for your comments, my friend.  Michal and I appreciate that.:)  Yes, the big reveal has been pushed back just a bit, but Lindsay's appearance will cause some additional problems (although I see her as more of a temporary problem).  There will still be a lot of twists and turns to the story, but father and son's revelation regarding Justin is coming soon.

Thanks again for the feedback, Sandra; we'll get this updated again soon.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris!  A little twist there at the end.;)  It wasn't quite the blonde that Brian was hoping for.  And I think she'll be causing a little cloudiness with the sunshine now.  I think you'll love the twists and turns coming up that Michal has crafted into the plot.  Thanks for reading and for the comments!  We'll get this updated again soon.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hey Kim! This was a great chapter and good preview of things to come. Poor Tristan, finally going after what he wants only to find that his feelings weren't reciprocated. I feel as if Gus led him on just a bit by allowing the kiss to ever happen at all.

I'm glad that Justin encouraged Gus to persue Tristan and maybe try to find out if there could be something between them. I don't think he could have made it more clear to Gus that they would only ever be friends. Now Lindsay enters back into the picture.....this reunion could prove to be an interesting one.

I can't wait for the next installment :) ~ JP

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara!  Thanks for reading and for those comments, Sweetie.  I want to make sure to give Michal the proper credit she deserves, though, especially for this chapter.  I wrote the sex scene and expanded upon some areas, but all the plot lines were pretty much hers here, including Lindsay's appearance.  Quite a twist there, wasn't it?  And I think poor Gus is pretty mixed up right now - it's obvious he has feelings for Tristan, but he can't quite let go of his crush on Justin.

I think events will start to accelerate big time going forward now, starting with the next chapter.  Thanks again for reading and for the feedback, Tamara!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

So happy too see this was updated. Tristan is fast becoming the "scene stealer" for me. I would love it if Gus falls for him eventually. They really deserve their own story. I know you have several other storylines to complete but please consider spin-off for "Gustian"

Author's Response:

Hi, Donna!  Michal and I thank you for reading and for the comments.  I have to thank Michal personally for coming up with Tristan's character, but we both are flattered that you like him enough to consider a spin off with him and Gus.  Perhaps we can do that in the future, and we're delighted that you're enjoying this story.  We'll get it updated again just as soon as possible.  Thank you for the support!  It is greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hey there kiddo! Surprise surprise.I am not really good at this reviewing process, but I shall endeavor. This story is very riveting as to when the big meet will occur. Lee turned me on to it as our reader is relaxing in Japan (envious). He was right it is very enjoyable. I am on r&r for a couple days as I have to go to Phoenix for a teaching seminar and I am getting a bit burned out which is not a good thing to be in my profession. You must be almost done school for the summer. I understand from lindc ther will be a big QAF get together here next month. You will enjoy it here especially the weather and the people they are very accommodating and friendly.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetheart!  Sooo good to hear from you!  Lindc, aka "The Mother Hen," tells me you are working way TOO hard, so I am delighted that you're taking a couple of much-needed days off before you head to Phoenix.  I have never been to Japan, but Lindc must really love it there.  So glad that you are doing okay, my friend.  I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling burned out, though.  I hope something turns around soon so you are not worked so hard.  They would not want to lose someone as valuable as you.:)

And yes, my students FINALLY graduate this Friday evening, and then I will have a few days to pack and rest a little before my trip to LA next Thursday!  I'm looking forward to it, but I think I will be a little more excited once I am done with school.  Getting their grades and other certificates done, along with book nventory, is a lot of work!

I really have to give Michal, my co-writer, a lot of credit for this story.  I'm helping her write it, but she's the one who came up with the story idea and composes the main plot for it.  I'm really intrigued by the story line, and am having a lot of fun with it!  I'm happy that you're enjoying it.  There will be a number of surprises yet to come before the 'big reveal.'

Please take good care of yourself, Brian, and keep in touch as you are able to.  You, Nonie, lindc, and Lee are very special to me - and very special people in general.  Sending my love and best wishes out to all of you.  *Hugs*  ~Kim (and Michal)

Hello Kim and Michal! I love the pictures you choose to play Tristan and Kayla in the story and I like the tattoo; is there a story behind that one?

This chapter is a tease; I was holding my breath while reading the part of the almost encounter of Brian and Justin after the game. Shocks, even though you kind of mention before that it will not be in the game that Gus will find out about his Dad with Justin, but still I was a little carried away. I hope it will not take more time for the next chapter to come. Please the soonest update needed! :) :) :) (Demanding???) Hahahaha! {{{Hugs}}}

Author's Response:

Hi, Cindy! Thank you for reading and for the comments, Sweetie.:)  We both are really appreciative to you for taking the time to do that.:)  I know....soooo close!  And both of us are well aware that this is quite frustrating waiting for the big reveal. But I know that Michal has some exciting twists still coming up for this story, and that when the big reveal DOES occur, it will be a shock to everyone - especially in the way that Gus finds out! So we do hope you'll stay tuned.  Michal has given me the plot of the entire story, and all I can say is that I'm very excited where it's heading, and I'm really going to enjoy helping to co-write this one! I'll have to ask Michal about the dragon tattoo, BTW, but I like the photos that she's used for them, too.:)

Thanks again for the feedback, Cindy!  We'll do our best to get it updated again soon.  I'll be done with my teaching this week, so hopefully as soon as I get back from the con on 6/11 (woo-hoo!), I can accelerate my updating schedule.:)  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

THIS STORY IS VERY EXASPERATING AS TO WHEN ALL WILL BE REVEALED. I WENT BACK TO THE BEGINNING TO REMEMBER AS I DON'T REMEMBER IF LINDC READ THIS TO US OR NOT.I GUESS YOUR FRIEND HAS COME UP WITH STORY LINE AND YOU ARE HELPING HER WITH THE WRITING PART. THE REVEAL SHOULD BE UP SOON??? ALMOST THIS CHAPTER-WAS HOPING BUT ALAS, NO. GOOD STORY VERY DIFFERENT. HAVENT'T SEEN MANY FOURSOMES HERE. OFF TODAY-HOLIDAY AND AM HAVING SOME GOOD DOWN TIME. I WILL BE GOING UP TO SAN DIEGO LATER WITH SOME FRIENDS. HAVE A GOOD DAY. LUV 2 U.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie!  I'm glad you had a chance to check this story out. I can't remember if lindc read it to the rest of you or not.  And yes, Michal thought up the idea for the story and writes the chapter and sends it to me to add to it, so it is definitely a collaborative effort.  I'm having a lot of fun helping her to write this, though, and I love the story idea that she came up with!  So without her plot there wouldn't BE this story, so I'm grateful to her for that.  The reveal IS coming up - either in the next chapter or the one after that - after we throw in a few more surprises along the way. :)

I hope you have a wondeful time in San Diego - I've heard it's beautiful there.:)  Take care and stay in touch, Sweetheart.  Love back to you, too.  *Hugs*  ~Kim and Michal

OMG they just keep missing each other lol Poor Tristan he has it bad, I do not think that Justin was really playing fair by kissing Gus. Loving this and I cannot wait for the big reveal

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris!  Yes, Michal and I are awful teases, aren't we?;)  I'm sure you're not the only frustrated reader right now, but it IS coming - promise!  Should be in the chapter after next if all goes according to plan.  First, we have a couple of surprises to throw in there, though.;)  And yes, that might have been a mistake on Justin's part to kiss Gus on the cheek, because it just may encourage him further, but I think he acted before he thought and considered it just an innocent gesture.  They'll be a lot going on in the next two chapters; I hope you will hang in there with us until all is revealed soon. Thanks again for reading and for the comments; Michal and I greatly appreciate that.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

No reveal yet??!! Come on! Lol. Loving this story. Tristan is beauty! Will be a perfect match for Gus because Justin belongs with Brian....always. I really enjoy all your stories.

Author's Response:

Hi, Donna!  Thank you for the lovely comments; I really appreciate that!   But I DO need to give Michal credit here for the idea and the plot.  She's the one who thought of it, and I'm really enjoying co-writing it with her!  I know we're driving readers crazy with the tension, but we promise it's coming soon!  Just a few more twists and turns, and it will likely happen in the chapter after next.  And, BTW, I agree with you about Tristan/Gus and B and J.  They are soulmates.:)

Thank you for reading and for the feedback.  And thank you again for your comment about my stories; that really makes me happy to hear that.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hi Kim! *mouth hanging open* Even at the big game with everybody at place at the same time, father and son still don't know that the man they want each other to meet is one and the same.....

I can't tell you how beautifully you played this out. I swear I was on the edge of my seat every time Brian or Justin took off. I just knew the fireworks were about to start.....

And poor Tristan.....how will he handle things now that he knows Kayla is aware of how he feels about Gus?.....I guess anxiously awaiting the next chapter is the only way to find out ;)

Can't wait for more~JP

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara!  Thank you for reading and for the comments, my dear.  I'm glad you don't mind a little angst and frustration. I know everyone's anxious to see them all arrive at their startling epiphany, and it IS coming - promise!  Michal and I just have to build it up just a bit more, with a few surprises along the way.  It will NOT be long now.  Not sure how Tristan will react - he COULD just be upfront with his sister or deny it vehemently.  Not sure how Michal is planning on going with that one, but I'm sure enjoying helping to write this one!  Thanks again for reading and for taking the time to leave feedback; we both greatly appreciate that.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hi, Sandra - hope you were just disappointed that they didn't meet yet and not in the story itself.  I know everyone's wanting the big reveal, and it's coming.  It just works out better to build up to it just a bit.  We're hoping once it happens that you will still be following our story.  We have a few more surprises coming up first that will help to make up for it.:) Thanks for reading and for the comments; Michal and I appreciate you taking the time to do that.  Hopefully you AND Tristan will get what they want eventually!  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Seriously? They were so close! But I'm glad Tristan's feelings for Gus have been confirmed, because surely that means something's going to happen between them?

And more surprises? I'm not sure I can cope with the excitement of more surprises.

Author's Response:

Hi, Nikki! Michal and I thank you for reading and for the comments! Anyway great great great chapter. I really love how Gus is a main character in your story and I can't wait for him to realize that Tristan likes him. Well, I guess Brian, Justin and Gus will be hurting like crazy when Gus knows the truth about his best friend's brother. Thank you :)

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie!  I'm glad you realized you hadn't read this chapter and got caught up.:)  Michal and I thank you for reading and for the support with your comments.:)  Yes, it would certainly avoid a big mess if Gus would just turn his focus toward what is right in front of him.  Sigh...silly boy.  We all know who will wind up with whom eventually. But you're right; in the meantime, I see a world of pain heading our way.  But you know how much I enjoy the angst!

Thanks again for reading and for the comments, my friend.  Michal and I really appreciate that. We should be able to get this updated soon; in the meantime, I'm heading over to "Parent Trap" to finish up the next chapter.;)  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Ah, that was a great chapter, just like always! Very well thought-of and full of tiny details that make the story whole and interesting, evoking the desire to read thoroughly and analyze every moment.

I love how Gus can easily read Brian and see right through him. I laughed when he remembered Brian’s excuse for always staying up late when he isn’t at home – ‘lots of work to do’. Yeah, right! Brian just loves his son so much that he can’t even sleep without being entirely sure he is okay… this is so sweet, I adore those moments! And the way Brian felt guilty later, like he was a kid caught by a parent! The dynamics between him and Gus is fantastic!  I’m also still very fond of Gus/Tristan – very beautiful couple, in every way possible; I hope Tristan will be there for Gus when he’ll need him – and I think it’s going to happen pretty soon. Brian and Justin are incredible together, their phone conversation was so overwhelming. I love seeing the tender side of Brian, feeling how much Justin affects him. He is so in love, and you describe it so realistically, so beautifully! I always can’t help smiling watching what the two of them do to each other. I can’t imagine what is waiting for them later, though… the Big Day finally came, so the truth must be revealed soon. It’ll be such a shock, specifically after everything Brian, Justin and Gus experienced together.

Poor Kayla, I know what public humiliation is, and how infuriating it must feel when you didn’t do anything, but everyone blames you only because of some stupid rumors. At least she is lucky to have such friend like Gus - and the way Justin helped was so unusual and hilarious! I even envy her a little, just like Gus :) Who can blame him for falling for Justin – the boy is truly remarkable, you made him a real Sunshine. I’d love him myself if he wasn’t already taken by Brian. Owen is seriously playing on my nerves, I wonder when he’ll get what he deserves. I hate this kind of people, it’s almost impossible to deal with them.

The humour in this story is great – I laughed so much when Justin called Brian Juliet :) I can only imagine his face when he heard it! But when he agreed to be Romeo, I thought my heart will stop. It was completely unexpected, but oh-so-great! I can’t believe how much he has changed, especially remembering the first chapter. Brian was softer than in canon, but cold and sharp with his tricks - Justin immediately became an exception, even though he obviously didn’t think he could achieve so much.

Great chapter – so interesting and so well-thought-out, I enjoyed every moment of it! Thank you, I can’t wait for more! I the closer angst comes, the more nervous and excited I get!

By the way, Michal, I wanted to ask – you have some banners with titles on your page, so I was wondering, are they stories? I searched for ‘The slap’, ‘I’ll bring you back’ and others, and I haven’t found anything. There are some of your stories there too, so maybe those banners are your plans on some future projects?

Author's Response:

Hi, Dear! Always such a treat to read your comments!  Thank you for reading this latest chapter and for all the wonderful feedback.:)  It is fun to write the banter that goes back and forth between the two men, although I need to credit Michal for the "Romeo and Juliet" part; that was her idea.   And yes, Brian is falling deeper and deeper for Justin, which will definitely leave him unprepared for what is soon about to happen.  And then the real dilemma will begin:  what will he do and who will he choose?  No matter who he chooses - Justin or his son - both he and the other person will be greatly hurt.

And yes, Owen is a big problem that won't easily go away; things will get worse regarding him before they get better, I'm afraid. We will get this story updated just as soon as possible.  We're so happy that you like it!

Michal wanted me to tell you that the banners you saw ARE for upcoming stories.  The next one she will be writing is the one entitled "I'll bring you back," and from what she's told me it sounds like a very exciting story!  Can't wait to see her write that one.

Thank you again for all the comments!  We both greatly appreciate that, and look forward to future feedback from you.:)  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Author's Response:

Tell Brian thank you.  No, I did try some meds several years ago, along with a year of psychotherapy, but none of it seemed to help me.  I hate being this way sometimes, but I've kind of decided it's about as good as it's going to get.  Sigh...sorry to be such a downer.  I get into these funks from time to time, and I guess this is one of them.  Thank you all for your concern, though; that means the world to me.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I know how you feel lonely and all.  Whenever I feel that low down I watch QAF again.  Just did that last week.  It always makes me feel better except for season 5. So get up girl make yourself something delish to eat, go for a walk, Take 5 deep breaths and look forward to spring-it is just around the corner.  Just remember we are here for you as we all admire your tenacity and writing chops.  All of us peeps love you and want you to be writing here ad infiitum.  lol from all yourPEEPS.

Author's Response:

Thanks, lindc.  I wish I could say that spring is welcoming to me, but having suffered from depression for years - along with other personal issues regarding self-esteem - it doesn't really help.  I wish I COULD feel happy about it, believe me.  Thank you for your concern, though.  Sometimes I just wish I could crawl into a hole and stay there and not come out again (kind of like a groundhog, I guess).  Okay, sorry! Enough pity party for me.  Some writers will do anything for more reviews, huh?- ha!  Back to trying to update my story now.:)  You are so special to me for caring. Thank you.  ~Kim

I am so sorry I forgot to wish you happy birthday.  I put this on both sites so you would see my better late than never birthday greeting.  We are all sorry we forgot.  Please forgive us.  I am going so stop having them as Brian says they are nothing to be celebrated just our accomplishments. Ha!!  lol

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie.  Is that YOUR Brian or Justin's Brian you're quoting?  LOL!  I remembered Brian telling Justin that on the show, but I think he eventually learned to regret that philosophy. Thank you for the belated birthday greetings, but you all had no idea it was my birthday so there is certainly nothing to forgive.  I'm actually glad you posted it over here, too, though, because that's one thing I hate about FF.net; you can't respond to anonymous reviews like you can over here, so this gave me a chance to thank you for your warm wishes.  And I guess I know what Brian Kinney meant about not celebrating them anymore.  Every year I think I feel the 'march of time' at an even more pronounced rate, and maybe it's just because I'm in a melancholy mood at the moment, but honestly?  At the risk of invoking a pity party, my life is not much worth celebrating.  It can be pretty damn lonely most of the time, actually.  I suppose that is why I write fan fiction - to transport myself into another place and time and pretend that I'm someone else.  (Ugh - sorry for the downer).

Thank you again for all your support; you probably will never know how much that means to me.  Tell everyone that I send my love out to them.  And tell Lee that I really AM working on his story; it's been a struggle this time for some reason, but I have about half of it written, and it's slowly coming together.  Thanks again, lindc.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Justin impossibly went up on the cool meter with that motorcycle stunt. And Justin just saved Kayla’s a** but she’s thinking about hooking Gus up with her brother. Ungrateful, LOL!

I’m still hoping everything will be revealed soon. The suspense is killing me.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandra!  LOL, I hadn't really thought about it that way; I suspect that Kayla feels an undercurrent between her brother and Tristan, but I could see how you might think of it as a betrayal of some sort.  Of course, we all know eventually who will wind up with whom (that's quite a ways out, though).  And you can thank Michal for the idea about the bike trick; I think that would have certainly gotten everyone's attention at school!  I don't think the Justin in this story does anything half-assed (excuse my French), so my co-writer's idea seemed quite in character with him in this chapter.

The great reveal is coming up soon; thank you for reading and for the comments, my friend; Michal and I greatly appreciate that.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Cindy - thank you for reading this latest chapter, and for your comments!  But in all fairness, I can't take credit for that particular idea or for the lines; they actually came from my co-writer, Michal, who thought up the story idea.  She writes the chapters and then I add more detail to them afterward, and occasionally I offer some ideas on perhaps small changes to make.  But if it wasn't for her idea, none of this would have been possible, so I want to make sure everyone is aware of that.:)  She prefers for me to answer the responses, too, so that is why I normally answer for both of us.:)

Hello again.  Sorry I haven't been reviewing here.  I am holding my own now.  I am wishing I can go back to work in some capacity.  I am very bored being at home with little to do. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts while I was down.  The peeps have been wonderful to me.  I appreciate them so much.  It takes something like this to realize who your friends are and how much they are there for you during a crisis.  Lee has been a god-send.  He takes me to the market, doctors and any where else I have to go.  Such a dear.  Lindc cleans and helps me with heavy chores.  Just thought I would give you an update on my return from what could have been worse than it was.  Anyway---on to this story.  It is really a gem.  In my youth I had a bike, one of my prized posessions-my mother wasn't too pleased with me-but she got used to it.  So freeing to the soul.  I can't wait to see how all this is going to come to fruition.  talk to you later.

Author's Response:

Hi, Nonie!  I was so thrilled to hear from you, my friend!  And while I was very sorry to hear what had happened, you just make me realize once more what special friends you have.  They all sound like such a comfort and support to you.  I do hope one day I can meet all of you.  I will definitely be in the LA area this June for the con if you are anywhere near there and would like to do that.  But if not, or if you prefer to stay in the background, I understand and respect your wishes.:)

I am grateful to you, Lee, Brian, and lindc especially for your ongoing support of my stories; that, and the fact that you are willing to share a part of your world with me, makes me feel very special, just like all of you are.:)

As for this story, I'm glad you're enjoying it and it brings back some happy memories for you.  I can't really take credit for the story idea, though; that came from Michal (StarShine-Green), my co-writer, who asked me to help her flesh the story out more.  She writes the chapters and sends them to me and then I write more detail into them and occasionally offer some suggestions for the plot.  But without her idea, I would have the pleasure of helping to co-write this one, so I will be sure to let Michal know that you are enjoyng it.  She is the main driver behind this entire story.

Thank you again for the kind words, Nonie.  Please stay in touch as you are able to, and I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  *Hugs*  ~Kim (and Michal)

I love the image of Justin and Brian riding a motorbike together, especially with Justin in charge. And I love how smitten (because smitten is a great word) Brian is with Justin in general. So I'm really hoping that the next chapter/one after that will include the confrontation and everyone finding out about everything?

Author's Response:

Hi, Nikki! Thank you for reading and for the comments, Sweetie; Michal and I appreciate your support.  Michal is kind of the 'driver' here, since it was her idea, so while I think the game is coming up in the next chapter, I'm not sure if that will be leading to the 'great epiphany,' at least not just yet.  But I know you - and the other readers, undoubtedly - are getting anxious for the big reveal, and it does promise to definitely bring on the angst. So we'll see what we can do.;)  Thank you for following the story, though, and for bearing with us in the meantime.  We promise to get this updated just as soon as possible.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hey girl!  This story is becoming better and better.  Brian on a bike is a gas.  I guess someone knows Gale is a bike lover in rl.  So nice to see something from you two.  Michel has a wonderful sense of adventure with these boys doesn't she?  You two collaborate very well. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, dear friend!  So good to hear from you.:)  Can you imagine how sexy Brian would be atop a bike?  I wouldn't complain at all if I had to lean back against that chest and, uh, all the other body parts.;)  Thank you for reading and for the lovely comments; I'm having a lot of fun helping to write this story based on Michal's initial idea, and we both appreciate the support.  Tell everyone I said hello and tell Nonie, especially, that I'm continuing to keep her in my thoughts and prayers.  I hope Lee's 'baby' is doing better now, too.;)  Take care and keep in touch!  *Hugs* ~Michal and Kim

So Kayla does suspect that Tristan has feelings for Gus. I still say he should give Tristan a chance, and I'm glad that Kayla chose not to say anything until she was sure about the situation. She and her brother definitely need to have a little talk.

Looks like we're getting closer to game time and closer to watching the shit hit the fan.

Update soon please~JP

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara!  So glad to see you still following this story and enjoying it.:)  Michal and I thank you for reading and for the comments.  Yes, hopefully we can steer these two boys together, but at the moment Gus has stars in his eyes over Justin, so I fear it will not be that easy to resolve.  Things are going to hit the fan first, and Brian and Justin's relationship, which has seemed to be going so well, is soon going to hit some rocky spots.  But you know how much I adore angst.;)  We'll get this updated just as soon as possible.  Thanks again for all the support, Tamara.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hi, Linda!  Thank you for reading this latest chapter and for your lovely comments. Yes, it is definitely coming up - and when it does, things will blow wide open.  How everything is going to be resolved, too, will not be an easy fix.  Michal and I thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback.  We'll get this updated just as soon as possible.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

I love this story.  I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens when everything is out!  Can't wait for your next updates:)

Author's Response:

Hello there! Thank you for reading our story and for the comments!  That makes both Michal and I very happy to hear that you are enjoying this!  (Michal prefers that I respond to the comments).:)

I love this story idea that Michal came up with, and I'm really enjoying co-writing it.  She is working on her part of the next chapter right now, so an update should be posted very soon.  As you can imagine, things will be getting quite heated and tumultuous for a while until this unlikely triangle is resolved.

Thank you again for reading and for taking the time to leave us your thoughts; that is so motivating to both of us.  *Hugs*  ~Michal (Starshine-Green) and Kim (Predec2)

Very hot and sexy chapter. So, after the big reveal, are Brian & Justin gonna double date with Gus & Tristan? Love your extra banner, too, Michal. TAG

Author's Response:

Hi,Tag! Ha! Well, I don't think their dating arrangements will be that cut and dried as soon as father and son discover what's going on.  I think that is when the real angst is going to kick in for sure.  And Brian's choices along the way just might surprise some people.  Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to leave your thoughts, Tag; both Michal and I really appreciate that.:)  *Hugs*  ~Michala and Kim

Great story! I didn't know about this. Why you don't have this on LJ? And when next chapter? You make my next addiction! :-p

Author's Response:

Hi,Sweetie!  Great to see you on here.:)  I've been having major posting issues on LJ, for one thing; that's part of the reason for not posting it over there.  Plus it's being co-written with someone else who is not on LJ, so I think I would need to get an okay from her before posting it from my journal.  I will probably wait until it's completely finished and then see if she wants me to post it on there.  But thank you for reading this one and for the feedback.  That makes both Michal (my co-writer) and I very happy. I hope you will continue to enjoy it.:)  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

"For just one fleeting moment, he thought that this must be what Gus might have felt like as he waited for his own date to appear yesterday."

Brian was so perceptive with that thought. He and his son are so alike, LOL.

“…so the idea of experiencing one, mind-blowing night with this gorgeous specimen of man - even if for just a brief interlude - was more than intriguing to him.”

So Justin did do a little stalking of Brian. Justin wanted Brian and went after him. This is not a young, naive Justin enamored with the man who took his virginity. Maybe Brian fell for Justin quickly because he was confident, more mature and less needy. When Justin was on that catwalk, I could not help thinking of Brian doing the same thing. They seem to be similar in attitude and taste.

"I can't believe you're here! Brian Kinney actually came looking for ME!"

I could not help feeling sorry for Mark. I’m surprised it didn’t happen to Brian more often.

"It somehow made me feel less lonely,"

I’m very interested in knowing exactly what Justin’s back ground is.

I love the pictures. That Tristan and his tattoo look yummy! Not a bad consolation prize.

Author's Response:

Hello, Sandra.:)  Glad that you liked the photos that Michal chose to represent Kayla and Tristan; I told her that I think the dragon tattoo is just as I had imagined it; quite elaborate!  Very perceptive of you in your description of Justin; I agree - while he has had his share of disappointment in his life, he has had to grow up fast and is by no means a shrinking violet.  I do seem some similarities as well between Justin's night at Babylon and how Brian acts when he is at the club.

If only Brian realized just how much he and Gus DO have in common - ha!  We all know the big reveal is coming; and it's certainly going to be a major shock for everyone.  As far as Justin's back story goes, I do see some more being revealed regarding his childhood at some point, so hopefully that will answer some of your questions.

Thank you for reading this latest chapter and for the insightful comments, Sandra; Michal and I are very appreciative.  We'll get this updated again soon.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Wow, brilliant chapter! Apart from amazing date, it also has some unexpected moments, such as a flashback. I love those things!:) And I loved Brian being nervous about his date with Justin, he must feel very out of character – it’s funny that he’s experiencing all those emotions in the age of 32 for the first time in his life. The way he looked at Justin when he was approaching him… ah, it was so beautiful! You definitely know how to describe man in love.

Justin’s first visit to Babylon was incredible! Along with his first one-sided meeting with Brian. It was like I watched him through Justin’s eyes, feeling that dangerous, sexual atmosphere surrounding him. I loved the idea of the backroom being named after Brian – that’s so hilarious and so true!:) Brian’s cold attitude and disdain to those he already slept with always make it even more impressive when he concentrates his whole attention on Justin – I adore reading about everyone’s reaction when they see how smitten with the blond Brian’s become. Of course, even being in love he remains Brian Kinney, overwhelming and dangerous - Justin isn’t innocent himself, but I’m afraid that Brian anyway has all chances to break his heart. Though I suppose it goes both ways.

I love the way Justin is able to soothe Brian, to calm his nervousness and maybe even fear. He knows him so well already. The moment with that crazy admirer was so amusing – I couldn’t stop laughing!:) Brian’s shock and Justin’s amusement were something indescribable:) Poor hopeless Mark, he certainly behaved like a madman. He’ll be lucky not to lose this job. And it’s great that Justin is mature enough to laugh, not be offended by the whole situation. It’s a pity, though, that he and Brian can’t even go to a restaurant without running into one of his tricks. This could be really embarrassing.

Ooh, Gus and Tristan’s interactions are really amazing! Gus is clearly affected by him, though of course not as much as he is by Justin – at least not yet. And if Tristan chooses to cancel his plans so just to spend some time with him, it already means a lot. Thank you for the photos, by the way! Now I can envision both Tristan and Kayla much more better:)

I’m so impressed how you turn the most ordinary and banal things into something incredible, unusual and completely unforgettable. When Brian and Justin were watching stars, I was overwhelmed with emotions! It was so beautiful and touching, especially when Brian assured Justin that he will never feel lonely again. I instantly fell in love with the phrase that Justin makes him look at everything in a new way – this is so true to fact when someone is in love! And knowing Brian, his character and his beliefs, it means much more than it would if it was someone else in his place. If man like Brian falls in love, this is for good. That is one of the reasons why I so strongly believe in bright B/J future after 513.

Their love-making was so beautiful and tender, I loved every moment of it! And I was both shocked and excited when Brian longed to say those three words! He didn’t, but he wanted to – it already means *so* much!

Thank you, girls – the chapter was amazing, as always!

Author's Response:

Hi, Katrin!  As usual, Michal and I am blown away by all the time you take to leave us your comments!  And if we have evoked some emotion in you as you read this, that means a lot to both of us.  You are so thoughtful in the way you describe which parts of the story that you are enjoying; and it gives Michal and I such a thrill to know how much you are enjoying this story.

I do see a definite attraction between Gus and Tristan, but Gus is still in the 'enamored' stage with Justin, so I feel he can't quite see what is right in front of him yet.  Let's hope there is promise there, however, because we all know where Justin's heart lies.  The path is certainly not going to be a smooth one, however; in fact, it's liable to possibly blow father and son apart.

Thank you again for reading and for all the time you take to leave your thoughts, Katrin; both Michal and I always look forward to your response.  We hope you continue to enjoy this story, and we'll get it updated again soon.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Oh my god, Brian and Justin are falling deeper and deeper for each other. Deeper and deeper...with Brian and Justin that's always a good thing. Lol. Oh man I can't wait for more. I love the way they are. Gus needs to open his eyes and see what's staring right at him...Tristan. Yes!! They would make such a cute couple. Keep him away from Justin...lol. Let Gus see that Justin has a boyfriend...anything. Ahhh. I love this story so much. Can't wait until more comes. Thanks for writing for us. Take care.

Author's Response:

Hi, Tay! You're so sweet with your comments; Michal and I are very grateful for your support.:)  LOL - I wish I could tell Gus "hands off," but what would be the fun in that?  Poor fella; he just doesn't see the forest for the trees, does he?  And as you mentioned, it's obvious how much Brian and Justin are falling for each other, which is going to make things quite tense coming up.  Let's just say they're all going to be in for quite a shock very soon, and Brian will be the one right in the middle, not Justin.  Will he sacrifice Justin's love or Gus's?

Thank you for reading this latest chapter, Tay, and for your wonderful feedback!  That is very motivating to both Michal and me.  We'll get this updated again very soon - I think there's a ballgame coming up.;)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

BTW - I hope you'll be participating in the Spring challenge coming up; I'm still trying to decide if I can handle another one, even if it IS completed beforehand!  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hi, Vonnie! Michal and I are happy that you liked it.:)  I think it was time the boys experienced a little more 'loving,' don't you?  At least before the 'you-know-what' hits the fan, which is bound to happen eventually.  Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment, Sweetie; we both really appreciate that.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

This chapter was wonderful. The date between Brian and Justin, Mark (poor guy....), Tristan & Gus..perfect. Did you think about someone in particular for Tristan (actour, model, singer...)?
I don't know why but I'm sure that «you'll never, ever be lonely again» will be source of tears later. Thank you :)

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  Michal and I thank you for reading this latest chapter and for the comments.  I would have to ask Michal about Tristan's character; I'm not sure if she had someone in particular in mind for him or not.:)  He does sound pretty hot to me, though - ha!  And I suspect you're right - I'm not sure if there will be issues surrounding the 'lonely' part, but I DO know that things will not be all rosy in this story; there will be some real issues involving love and devotion that will need to be addressed when the three discover what's going on.

Thank you so much for reading and for going to the trouble of leaving your feedback; and if I have not told you before, thank you, also, for the favorite author designation; that means a lot to me.:)

Michal and I should be able to update this again very soon.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Oohhh what a lovely chapter both Brian and Gus starting to see people differently :) I think Tristan is going to make the shock of Justin being with Brian slightly more palatable for Gus

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris!  Well, hopefully that will happen at some point; but Michal and I have some hurdles to overcome before everything is resolved; and there's going to be some heavy angst coming up for a while.  Thank you for reading and for the comments, my friend; we should be able to update this again very soon.  *Hugs*  ~Michal and Kim

Hello Kim and Michal! :) :) :)

I love this chapter. It shows the romantic side of Brian much more. And there is one thing I notice, Maybe I have missed some details in previous chapters but...Is Tristan gay? Coz I can sense a little attraction between Gus and Tristan. Well, I hope...coz it will be perfect if Gus will fall in-love with his best friend's brother! :) :) :)

{{{Hugs}}}

Author's Response:

Hi, Cindy!  *Hugs* back to you, my friend.:)  Yes, I think it's a safe bet that Tristan is gay; not sure if that has been mentioned before or not; I don't think so.  But there is definitely an attraction of some sort going on between the two of them, and a deepening bond, I would say.  That may be Gus's lifeline when he discovers the truth about his father's 'love.'  And, of course, Brian is really going to be in a big dilemma here once that is uncovered.

Thank you for reading and for leaving your comments, Cindy!  Michal and I are very appreciative of your support; we'll work on getting this updated again very soon.  ~Kim and Michal

This is very fun-  wonder how it will come out when he figures out Gus and Brian are father and son. Thankful for the warning that Justin doesn't sleep with Gus.  Time for bed now, but will be reading more tomorrow.

This is really something of a story-just keep leading us on for the showdown.  Soooo good.  Am really enjoying this one.  You two are the dynamic duo.  Props to you.

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc, my dear!  I hope you're still not working quite as hard as the last time (more than one shift).  And I hope you all have a wonderful time at Lee's new digs today!  Michal and I are thrilled that you're enjoying this one, my friend.  So many facets to this story - and there's bound to be some heartache occuring here shortly that will need to be addressed.

Very hot!!!! Although the star-struck trick at the restaurant was hilarious :)

Oh sweet little Gus, Tristan is just dying for you to notice him. I do wonder though, does Kayla know her brother is gay? Has she even suspected it? And how will she react when she finds out that Tristan is interested in her best friend?

You know I can't wait to find out ;) JP

Author's Response:

Hi,Tamara - Michal and I can always count on your support with this story; thank you so much for that, my friend.  Hmm..interesting question about Tristan and whether Kayla knows or not; Michal is the 'driver' of the plot for this for the most part, so I'll have to run that by her.  I imagine Kayla would be fine with it if they DO wind up together.  But before that happens, a lot of drama is about to unfold, I'm afraid.  Glad you liked the boys' 'interlude' in the meantime.;)  We should be able to update this soon; before we can do that, though, I need to trot back over to "Stallion" to complete the next part of that.  Thanks again for reading and for the comments, Tamara; we both really appreciate that, my friend.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

"For just one fleeting moment, he thought that this must be what Gus might have felt like as he waited for his own date to appear yesterday." That sentence amused me so much.

And I love that Brian isn't hiding his feelings. Well, at least not to himself.
And on top of waiting for the confrontation scene, I am now waiting for something to happen between Gus and Tristan.

Author's Response:

Hi, Nikki! Well, at least we've given you plenty to think about now - LOL!  I sense some definite foreboding in this chapter; you know it's about to all come out fairly soon, and probably with disastrous results.  (Of course, we wouldn't have a story if we didn't throw the angst in there..).

And yes, I couldn't help including that sentence in there; how ironic is that??  If only he knew it was the same guy he and his son were pining over at the moment...

Michal and I thank you for reading and for the comments, Nikki; we'll get this updated very soon - Michal tells me the ballgame is up in the next chapter!  Thanks again.  *Hug*  ~Michal and Kim
