Very nice story. Brian sounds so much at peace and all contented with his life.  And the lyrics...Not mushy at all. I really enjoyed Camelot. Love your fall images because here in the Sunshine state, I can only see colors like that in my dreams.

It's amazing how you can take one little thing, like autumn leaves, and make a whole story around it. I enjoy reading your stories because it's like one personal universe and most of your stories are centered around it.  Almost done with your one shots and soon to start your multi-chaptered stories.  These are rather like lays potato chips, you can't just read one.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  I can't tell you how honored I am that you have chosen to read my stories.  I know how many other authors you could choose to read, and it really means a lot that you have chose to read mine. What lovely comments, too.;)  I really do love these two boys, and the love and passion they show for each other.  I will soon be celebrating my third year of writing on this site, and I still love to read as well as write about them.  I am thrilled that you are enjoying my stories, and very thankful that you take the time to review. Thank you very much.  I hope you enjoy the longer stories.  I try to put my heart and soul into them, and it makes me very happy to know that others are enjoying them. Thank you.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Thanks, Mafita!  I do enjoy including Gus when I can. Thank you for reading and for the feedback, my friend.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

You made me check this out on YouTube as I wasn’t familiar with the song. I love that you were inspired by nature. I just got back from a holiday in our capital city which is also known as the bush capital because it has so much natural bush land. I didn’t think there were too many people like me who took the time to watch the wonders of nature unfold. I loved watching a slight breeze swirl around making the tiny leaves dance and spin as busy workers rushed by. I hope I never have the misfortune to lose one of my senses as nature can be enjoyed in so many ways. I love the changing colours of the leaves as it makes for some very beautiful scenery and your picture is just exquisite. Poor Brian was supposed to experience the adventure by eating the fruits but never mind Justin and Gus would have had loads of fun. Thank you this was most enjoyable.

Cheers

Author's Response:

Aww...thank you, Flossee!  I'm so happy that you enjoyed it.:)  The leaves have just about peaked here - they were beautiful last weekend with all the different hues of red, green, orange, yellow, and purple; just gorgeous!  I love Fall because of all the sights and sounds that go with it, and I did feel inspired to write about the boys after I took a walk last weekend.  I'm so glad that you liked this one.  Thank you again for reading and commenting; I really appreciate the support.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

A very nice one shot....I was a bit surprised at the abrupt ending but enjoyed it all the same.

Author's Response:

Hey, now - you're always telling me you don't always read my stories because they're too lengthy, and now you think the ending was too abrupt?  You're just doing that to confuse me, aren't you? - LOL!  I never really intended this one to be too in-depth; after all, you can only talk about paw paws and leaves for so long:)  Thanks for reading this one.  *Hugs* ~Kim

That was sweet. One of the (very few!) things I love about fall is the colour! I'd love to see fall on the east coast. Being a westerner, things go from green to brown pretty quickly! And I had to look up the fruit, too!

Author's Response:

Hi, Megan!  Yes, normally in this area the color is pretty good; depends upon how much rain and coolness we get at night.  The leaves have just about peaked now; afterward it's a little depressing when they all fall off and winter comes, but the snow always looks pretty (as long as I don't have to drive in it - ugh!).  Last year we hardly got any snow - weird.  Thanks so much for reading and for taking the time to comment.  I have one more update to post for "Heart's Desire" and then it's off to the twins in "Parent Trap."  Thanks again! *Hugs*  ~Kim

I felt like I had, indeed, won the lottery, not once but twice.

I listened to the song. I had not seen the movie since I was a little girl. They don't make like that anymore. Anyway, this was a nice autumn story of the two men. I think Brian did fall in love with his two men the same day he met them and I don't think you would have appreciated Gus without Justin giving him the courage to be a father to him.

Thanks for the story!

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandra!  Yes, it's pretty near impossible to duplicate those old Technicolor movie musicals - I love the old ones like "Singing in the Rain," "Oklahoma," "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers," and "Camelot" to name a few.  I wasn't aware that Robert Goulet had written the lyrics to this song until I researched it; that was a surprise.:)  Thanks so much for reading and for your comments!  I really appreciate that, my friend.  And thanks for all the support you give me.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

You paint a lovely picture, not only of the countryside, but of Brian and Justin's love for each other (and Gus).  Beautiful.

- Jackie

Author's Response:

Thank you, my friend; I'm so glad that you enjoyed it.:)  I do like to think that Brian might have been happy in this life with the two 'boys' that he adored.  Thanks again.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Haha, I wondered why my ears were ringing.

Ha!  I gave Lee official permission to review your story.:)  Just kidding - hopefully we've both given you enough of a push now to post the next chapter (hint, hint).  Looking forward to it.:)

Author's Response:

You are so funny! And BTW - I love the 'young lady' part; if only - ha!  I was just kiddiing; I'm cool with it.  Janet's a good friend and I recommend her story wholeheartedly.  I'm waiting as eagerly as you are for any updates.  So we're going with a female now, huh?  Well, I think it's only fair.  And I'm voting for a candy-apple red convertible, maybe Scarlet?  Ha!  I'm going to hold you to your promise now; I expect you to be sitting there in your rocking chair at the retirement home, reading my kinky stories to the other residents - that should turn what little hair they have left white - ha!  So glad that you're one of my readers, Lee, but of course you're much more than that to me.:) Take care.  *hugs*  ~Kim

HEY!  I DIDN'T KNOW THIS WAS HERE TIL YOU KNOW WHO TOLD ME.  I HAVE BEEN WORKING A LOT AND NOT ON THE COMPUTER TOO MUCH LATELY EXCEPT TO BUY SOME STUFF FROM AMAZON.  WHEN I WAS A SMALL KID MY MOM TOOK ME TO NEW HAMPSHIRE TO VISIT MY AUNT.  I CAN REMEMBER THE COLORS AND I WAS AMAZED THAT THE TREES HAD DIFFERENT COLOR LEAVES.  THE PICTURES WERE REMINISCENT OF THAT TIME.  MUSHY IS GOOD SOMETIMES I THINK.  DOESN'T MATTER-IT'S STILL A GOOD STORY.  GUS STORIES ARE ALWAYS GOOD STORIES.  I THINK I AM GOING TO TRADE THE DEVIL IN FOR A SPORTY CAR.  THIS SEEMS LIKE THE PLACE TO HAVE ONE AS THE WEATHER HERE IS AWESOME.  WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT I GET IF IT HAPPENS.  I HAVE SOMEONE INTERESTED IN THE DEVIL, SO IT WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN. LUV 2 U.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetheart!  It's so great to 'hear' you being happy again.:)  I'm so glad that everything finally seems to be working out for you.:)  I know the reason why you weren't over here reading this, though; you're too caught up in that intrigue with Glen over at Janet's story - ha!  No, seriously, I treasure every review from you; you are very special to me as I'm sure you know.:) I hope I can look forward to hearing from you for a long time to come.:)

I should have the next part of your favorite story posted maybe tomorrow, and I have some real twists in that chapter, so I hope you'll like it. And you do realize, don't you, that if you get rid of the 'Devil' and find a sports car that we'll have to have another naming contest?  I'll have to start thinking about that now.  Any idea what model or color?  I will need that for research purposes - LOL! Take care, my dear friend, and please keep in touch.  I care about you.  Love and hugs - ~Kim

Welcome back.  I have missed you.  This one was very sweet.  I know what New England is like in the autumn.  So beautiful.  In your absence I have been reading older stories on the other site, as nothing here has interested us too much.  I guess Lee has been reading a story by one of your fellow writers.  We are all well here.  Busy, busy, busy.  BB is off teaching a seminar again in Phoenix, so things here are a bit different. They keep pulling him away from the team.  He doesn't know how to say no which makes me think he really enjoys it.  Men ugh!!--Just kidding.  It's just we get into the rut and when it is disturbed it's not very satisfactory,  Me bad!!  just tired I guess.  Off to bed. Loved this story. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetheart!  So glad to hear from you and to know that you are all doing well.:) Thank you as always for the kind words and for the support.  Yes, I know which author and story Lee is reading (I'm not used to sharing - ha!).  Janet's story is very addictive, though; I'm eagerly waiting for the updates myself.:)  Tell Lee I have one more update to his story before I move onto "Parent Trap," which sorely needs updating.  I should hopefully have the next part up by tomorrow.

Tell everyone I said hello and not to work too hard!  Take care and thanks again.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I loved this story and the pictures were beautiful. I always read your stories most of the time Gus is included, and you wrote several stories with Gus and Tricky. The pictures you included in many of your stories add so much.I always thought the child that played Gus was a little doll and with memories of him tied in with stories are so entertaining, I read everything you write so many  of the other authors tie in other shows or books I read only the QAF. Harry Potter and etc just don't appeal to me, again a lovely story, thanks.

Author's Response:

Hello, my friend!  Thank you for those lovely comments.:)  And I agree about the little boy who played Gus; actually, there were two of them as often happens (twins), and I read somewhere that they were very well-behaved.  And yes, those big doe eyes got me every time!  Thanks again for the comments and for reading - and BTW, there WILL be another Gus/Tricky story regarding the wedding (obviously Tricky + wedding cake, etc., will equal yet another disaster, so we won't be looking for much drama in that one - ha!).  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Awww, what a wonderful story, filled with those vivid descriptions you're famous for. There was no need for me to even have a flicker of a thought about harming anyone, I wan't even grossed out by your food selections since you didn't mention finding any disgusting mushroom in the woods. I'm assuming the trip was too short to shove Tricky in his travel crate and drag him across the border. I know how time consuming customs can be with pets. The fruitful harvesting of the woods was interesting and I'm going to have to check out what they found. I wish I could see some fall colors, but it's still hot as fire and brim stone where I am.
Lori

Author's Response:

Hey, Lori! Well, with a name of "BigPaw," I was hoping you already knew what a Paw Paw was - ha!  Actually, I have eaten one myself and my mother has made bread with them, and they're not bad; it makes the bread quite moist and does taste a lot like banana bread.  But the seeds inside of them are HUGE!  And sometimes 8 - 10 in one fruit!  And yes, it was too quick a trip for Tricky to traverse, but not to fear - he'll return (to Brian's consternation) for the wedding (poor Brian!).  Thanks for the comments, my friend; I really do appreciate it.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hi Kim, I loved this little look into Brian and Justin's "everyday" life and when Gus is there, it just adds something special to the story. Ha- I could just see the look on Brian's face when Gus was showing him the horse apples, hehe.

~*~ Hugs, Janet

Author's Response:

Hi, Janet!  Thanks for reading and for the feedback, my friend.:)  Those horseapples ARE big - and heavy!  I saw some yesterday that were bigger than softballs!  What a shame you can't really do anything with them.  I'm about to update "My Heart's Desire" again and then I'm onto the twins in "Parent Trap."  I'll be looking forward to more of your own story soon (hint, hint).  Take care.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hi Kim,

What a lovely, lovely story. I've said this before, but it bears repeating - I love "slice-of-life" fics about our favorite couple. And yours are some of the best ones out there. Beautiful, as always.

Cheers,

Vin

P.S. Loved the pictures with the beautuful fall colors.

Author's Response:

Hi, Vin! Thanks so much for those lovely words, my friend; I really appreciate that.  I wasn't really intending to write another one-fic, but the beautiful colors I saw today inspired me.  I'm working on the next part of "My Heart's Desire," which should be posted very soon, and then it's onto your favorite twins.:)  Thanks so much for all your support, dear friend; hope hubby's job is going well for him.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim
