This was so funny. Love that the visitors were racoons and of course Justin being Justin wouldn't want them harmed or killed. They can be a mischeivious and really tear things up.  You left us wondering just what Brian saw!

Brilliant Halloween fic, thanks for sharing!

JoAnn

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading, and for the comments, JoAnn! I had so much fun writing this one.  Not too inspired about one this year, but I'll keep thinking.;)  I do enjoy writing humorous fics with them. Thank you for the support. It is greatly appreciated.  ~Kim

Hey Kim,

Racoons in the attic and hot, hot sex. Halloween Kinney style.

Perfection.

I adore holiday stories and MW has enough that they could repost one a day for the whole months.  This one is one of my favorites and totally believable.

Ohhhhhh, yeah, I remember this one, the spook turned out to be raccoons ;  ) The hubby's family had one as a pet when he was little, it'd steal anything and everything that wasn't bolted down,LOL.

The spector at the end still gives me the willies though, haha. *Hugs* Janet

Author's Response:

Hi, Jaenet - Yes I know too well how talented they can be in getting into just about everything, includingh our stray cat's screwed-on catfood container that was stored on our screened-in porch!  Thank you for the comments, my friend. *Hugs* ~Kim

A very fun read with an ending that fits many old houses I've seen before. Thanks Kim for writing this one.

Author's Response:

Thanks, Bob.;)  I love old houses; I think they always have more charm - and in a lot of cases - more quality than the new houses. They always have a story to tell, and I find myself wondering what it is. If they could only talk!  I love that 'house detective' show on PBS.;) Thanks for reading, my friend.  I enjoyed writing this one. And thanks for the honor, too. :P)

Rereading this after the sequel brings a new meaning to it.  Does the secret passage way come into the new sequel?

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend - no, not really.  In the new story, our 'visitor' doesn't need a physical entryway; he can just float in and out at will.;) I hope you enjoy it!  I am working on the last part right now; I'm hoping to get it done by tomorrow.  Thank you for reading so many of my stories!  I appreciate that so much.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Wow, Kim! As I had fun reading this story.

Justin freaking out and scared Many Voices was good to see. Brian Justin dealing with a completely out of any sanity was fun.

I love to see Brian taking care of Justin and being your hero in shining armor. I always feel very happy to see any glimpse of the future of the boys, especially seeing them together, united and sharing their lives as a happy couple. This is very good to be seen and especially so well written as this amazing story.

A big hug, dear.

Fatima.

Author's Response:

I loved this!!! :D It's always very interesting to read a fic on Brian's POV... :D Would you consider making another version of this but in Justin's POV?? (sort of like a sequel....).

I imagined that the sounds were being made by some sort of animal, though I didn't consider raccoons (looking back on it, I think I should've... -_-U).

Also, I loved the fact that you put that ghost at the end of the fic... it gave the story kind of a spooky vibe and an "I told you so" kind of thing.... haha! :D Being someone who has seen, felt and heard ghosts before (sort of a family trait on my dad's side.... :S), I always like it when Halloween fics give you that "ghosts are real" kind of vibe (I don't know if you believe in them or not.... :S).

Anyway, I really enjoyed reading this... I'll be reading you soon! Kisses! :D

Author's Response:

Hi, Mafita - I am so honored that you are catching up on so many of my stories.  I really enjoyed writing this one.  I do enjoy writing humorous fics, but they always seem to steer more toward the angsty side instead.;)  Thank you for reading and for all the suggestions.  I really appreciate that.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

OMG this was just too hillarious for words!  Poor Justin!  And poor Brian for having to deal with an "insane" partner.

This was great, especially the very end when Brian encounters his own ghost.  Serves him right for making fun of Justin! LOL

Great job, as usual.  I loved it!

Author's Response:

Hi, Nita!  I'm so happy that you liked this one, Sweetheart!  I wanted to diverge a little away from all the recent angst and do a lighthearted piece that was humorous; I'm glad that you enjoyed it!  Thank you for reading and for letting me know.:)  And thank you for all the support, too, I really appreciate that.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Aww... Thanks, Vonnie; I'm so happy that you liked it!  I miss doing the humorous pieces; perhaps when I'm done with one of my other WIPs, I'll try to do another funny one instead of all these angst-ridden ones.:)  Thanks for reading and for the feedback - I really appreciate that, my friend.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

What a gas!  This story is so funny.  Love Justin"s antics. I thought maybe some squirrels had moved in-never thought raccoons.  I have been reading here but not commenting on stories.  I guess I thought the writers I have been reading deserved comments.  I don't post unflattering ones as I think most writers are very brave souls to put their work out into the universe not knowing what pleasure or havoc their stories will be to  their readers.  You really have a wonderful gift.

Author's Response:

Thank you, my friend, for reading and for those very lovely comments!  I truly appreciate all my readers, but derive a lot of pleasure out of hearing that you are enjoying what I am writing, so thank you for taking the time to do that.:)  I do enjoy giving Justin occasional queen outs - ha!  And I love to write humor.  Perhaps my next new (multi-chaptered) story will be in that vein.  I'll see what I can do.:)

Thanks again for the feedback; I love to receive it.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

This was so cute! I can totally see both of them being freaked out by the noise. Raccoons, I was actually going to guess squirrels!

It would be neat to find out more about the house's history. I don't think there is a such a story...yet *hint, hint* LOL.

Can't wait to see any update for My Heart's Desire and our favorite twins, too!

Author's Response:

Hi, Megan!  So nice to hear from you again, my friend.:)  As always, I am very grateful to you for your support and encouragement.:)  I am delighted that you enjoyed this story.  I was actually thinking the same thing - that we don't know anything, really, about Britin itself, so I have been toying with that idea.  I don't know if you ever saw "The Two Worlds of Jenny Logan," a made-for-tv movie with Lindsay Wagner (The Bionic Woman), but I always thought something like that would be intriguing to write about, so I may just take your hint at some point and run with it.:)

And yes, I am working on the next part of "Heart's Desire" right now - have about 8,400 words of it written, so I'm getting there.:)  I hope you'll bear with me just a little longer while I finish it up, and then it's definitely onto "Parent Trap."  I feel like I'm getting very close to the climax right now in that story (wink, wink) - in more ways that one - ha!  Thank you again for all your wonderful support, Megan!  *Hugs* ~Kim

could you abstain from describing the delicious food when I am so hungry?

Racoons :)! I KNEW it lol! But I like Brian being the knight in shining armor :), wait, did I just hear a rustle and bustle upstairs?.................

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  I'm glad you read this one and liked it; thank you for the comments!  I wish I had taken my reader's suggestion to make it teenagers exploring the 'big, old, spooky mansion' instead of raccoons - they would have gotten quite an 'eyeful' of Brian and Justin - ha! I could just see Brian lifting one eyebrow in challenge as he stood there in all his glory, daring them to say anything.  And if I made you hungry with my description of the 'ghoul-ash,' I consider that a big compliment to my writing skills.:)

Thanks again for the feedback, Elke.:)  I really appreciate that.  Oh, and I'm working on "Heart's Desire" now - I should have it updated soon.  I've got a few surprises in that chapter.:)

Interesting ending you have there... that would be an intriguing tale if you wanted to do a sequel, or AU (this year or next). Before I mention anything further about the story, I HAVE to say something about the banner... beautiful and amazing! I loved the images you chose; there's no way you can see Brian smile and not smile back, but I love that they're more recent photos... absolutely perfect!

Okay, now the story... as usual Kim, it's amazing. Although certainly much sillier than your other current stories, and not as much smut as other stories either. But that's okay because we all need some light-hearted fun between our two favorite beautiful men. I've often tried to do this with my stories, but my mind always goes to the steamy scenes without fail. Of course no one's complaining. ;) And I have tons of fun writing... and I have tons of fun reading your stories, no matter what's going on.

I was almost expecting this to be a bit more supernatural with an actual ghost or something more than racoons, but that could be because I've been watching too much TV that has a supernatural feel to them. I really liked the little moment of Brian seeing a ghost though, and being someone who loves ghost stories, I would love more of that background story, whatever it might be. I have ideas in my head already... unless this is somewhat in honor of "Fertile Ground".

Anyway, brilliant story, my friend and I definitely look forward to more from you, whatever you decide to write!

Cheers, Laura :) xoxoxo

Author's Response:

Hi, Laura!  I always look forward to your comments, my friend; thank you for all the time and effort you put into them.:)  It WOULD be interesting to delve into Britin's history sometime; thanks for the idea!  I may have to consider that.  I DO enjoy that sort of story - that's why I always thought what confused_bliss is writing about with "Somewhere in Time" would be so perfect for them.  I had the same thought, but she beat me to it - aargh!  LOL!  Anyway, thanks for the compliment on the banner, too!  I enjoy creating those, although I'm not nearly as talented as some others are.  I would love to have Photo Shop, but in the meantime, I make do with creating them in Microsoft Word and then transferring the finished product over to Publisher to save it as a photo.  I'm glad that you liked it.  I did think the font type was perfect for a Halloween story.:)

And yes, not much smut here - I leave that to you, the expert; you are the consummate writer when it comes to steaminess between the boys.:)

Thanks again for all your support, Laura; as always, I will look forward to your own updates and any stories you may give us in the future.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

HI!  IT'S ME AGAIN.  LIKED THIS STORY A LOT.  I KNEW IT WAS CRITTERS OF SOME KIND.  SO FUNNY.  THOUGHT I'D CHECK IN.  LINDC DOESN'T READ AS OFTEN AS WE ARE ALL SPLIT UP ON SHIFTS-SOME DAYS SOME NIGHTS.  SHE IS MOSTLY ON DAYS WITH BB AND I HAVE TO WORK A LOT OF 3-11'S.  THE DEVIL IS GOOD. I CAN WALK TO WORK AS I'M REALLY CLOSE.  IT SAVES GAS.  I AM IN A HAPPY PLACE IN MY OWN PLACE.  IT'S SMALL BUT EASY TO KEEP CLEAN.  SO RIGHT NOW IT'S WHAT I NEED.  I SEE MY STORY IS NEXT. YIPPPPEEE!  TOO LONG TO WAIT FOR THIS STARVING READER.  I DID READ A STORY OVER HERE THAT IS QUITE INTERESTING.  IT'S BY A WRITER CALLED STARFIRE64.  IT SEEMS SHE IS A FRIEND OF YOURS. IT CAUGHT MY EYE AS THE BANNER IS GOOD.  LUV 2 U.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetheart!  I'm so glad to see you on here again, and to know how happy you are in your new place.:)  You deserve all the happiness you can get, my friend.:) As far as the story goes, I wish I had thought instead to make the 'ghosts' some teenagers checking out the 'spooky, old house' instead of critters, but it was after I had written it that a reader suggested that. They would have gotten a real eyeful with Brian and Justin running up there without a stitch of clothing on!  I could just see Brian standing there, arching one eyebrow in challenge as they looked at him in shock - ha!

And as far as "Heart's Desire" goes, I'm working hard on your story - promise!  I have about 6,000 words of it written, so I am definitely updating it next. I promise not to veer off into another story until I do!

And yes, Starfire64 is a good friend/writer of mine that I initially met on LJ.  And BTW - you gave me an unknown compliment, because I made the banner for her, so thanks!  I'm glad that you liked it.:)

Please keep in touch, Lee, and let me know how you're doing.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Thanks, my friend.  Have to go in and fix a couple of boo-boos, though, that someone pointed out - aargh!  I swear - I can look over these things and STILL they slip by - ack!  But I'm glad you enjoyed this one. Delightful! But I don't know why I thought it would be teenagers sneeking into the house.

Hi, Sandra!  LOL - wish I had thought of that! Lindc gave me a heads up this was here and thought i could use a laugh.  This was so funny and sweet.  i really love the way you write.  The description in your paragraphs is fantastic.  Sorry I get a little over zealous at times.  She knows what I need and when.  Good friends I have.  I am very thankful for them..  I am doing much better now that I am back to work and have something to fill my life.  Lee has been a good friend and we have long talks as he has been through a lot and understands so much for being so young.  Thank you for thinking of me it s truly appreciated.  I guess I should get some sleep.  Just wanted to leave a review so you wouldn't think I had forgotten you and your kindness to me.  It's amazing how close you can come to people on this site. Truly amazing.

Author's Response:

Hi, Nonie, my friend!  I'm so happy to hear from you, and that you are doing better.:)  It's weird how things happen, isn't it? I would have never wished what happened to either you OR Lee, but something - or someone - pushed you together for a reason, I think.  I think it's so you can comfort each other and draw support from one another in your shared circumstances, and I am so glad to hear that you are both doing much better.  Your group sounds like such a special, caring one; I do hope one day I will have the honor of meeting all of you.  I told lindc that there is a possibility I will out in CA next June if they are successful in organizing the next QAF con; perhaps then if you are all agreeable.

Thank you for taking the time to leave me your thoughts and for your feedback, Nonie; it is comments like yours that make me want to continue to write about these two characters that I love so miuch.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

cute story-yup raccoons are very smart and sly creatures.  they can make an unholy mess sort of like squirrels. my uncle lives in Maine and had lots of trouble with both on his farm in the country.  i understand you have been travelling to liberty ave in the pitts.  read your journal-seems you had a great time.  we are all doing well, finally.  Nonie better and back to work, Lee all moved and happy. BB is good, dating all over the place.  So many beautiful people to pick from here.  i may be going on a vacation trip in December. Have to wait and see am excited tho.  Will keep you posted.  lol

Hi, sweet friend (and peeps!).  I'm so delighted to hear that things are going well for all of you at last.  You all deserve it.  I do hope you get to take a vacation in December - I'm sure that you could use one after all the hard work you've done.  Sounds like things are finally getting on the right track - I'm so happy for all of you!  The Pittsburgh trip was fun - we got to see the DVD from the con and relieve a lot of fond times in Cologne.:)

I'm glad that Lee's new digs are working out for him and that Brian is happy as well.  Tell Nonie I'll continue to think of her.  Looks like they're shooting for another con next June 7 - 9 in Long Beach for QAF.  I don't know how close that is to all of you, but if they ARE successful I would love to meet all of you!  Take care and thanks as always for all your support and your friendship.  Tell Lee his story is definitely up next - promise!  *Hugs*  ~Kim
