Those are never fun, and I had no idea that is where this was going. Lol. Well done.

Author's Response:

LOL Okay, I admit, I had to read this twice.  For some reason my brain was picturing the endoscope when you wrote "I had no idea that is where this was going".  Silly me. :)))  Thank you for the "well done" remark.  I like it when the ending can surprise someone.

Cheers :)

:)  actually laughed out loud at the end.

Author's Response:

OMG, an actual LOL and a smiley face ***Happy Dance***   I assume the fact we can laugh at this means neither of us have had to suffer the indignity.  Poor Brian and his ( ! )

Cheers :)

The instrument they use is not at all wide but it is 6 feet long, literally.

Author's Response: Thank you Jane but I must be honest I knew it was a lot longer than it was wide; I embellished it for the story. Maybe we can go with Brian being really tight so it felt wide. LOL. Thank you for the comment. I am going with you being are a nurse or a doctor as I don’t want to think of yet another person having to go through the real procedure. Cheers

You never know what it is until the end.  This was great.

Author's Response: Thank you so much I was hoping that would happen but I wasn’t sure I got it right as you have been the first to say so. Thank you so much for the review and the great comment. Cheers

My friend, Lori (Bigpaw) insisted I must read this.  Now I know why since she is the one who went with me for my colonoscopy just two days ago.  Trust me, there is no pain during the procedure since they usually knock you out completely.  Getting the needle for the IV was the worst of it.  The prep is the bad part since you have to drink 64 oz. of liquid laxative (8 oz. every 15 minutes) the day before the procedure and then you spend the rest of the day and half the night...well, I'll let you guess where!  LOL!

I have to say that your version of the event did make me laugh.  Thanks for sharing.  Hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: OMG I so want my version to be true as it just sounds to terrible the reality of it all. I have a new found respect for the journalist I watched on 60 minutes as I thought he was just being wimpy. I am astounded at the frankness of people and if I ever have any sort of procedure I will write about it first so I can get a real insight before it happens. Thank you so much and I may or may not be saying you were the inspiration but I embellished the facts; a lot apparently. Thank you for the entertaining review it’s probably more entertaining than the made up version. LOL Cheers

Hahahaha, and also yuk! I never had it done but know folks who have. Not very pleasent aparantly ~ Vonnie xxx

Author's Response: Vonnie I hope we never have to find out what they are like first hand as they certainly sound unpleasant by the comments. Hahahaha, and also yuk! That was what I was aiming for so thank you very much. Thank you also for taking the time to review. Cheers

I have--they put you to sleep so you don't feel anything.

Author's Response: I’ve only seen one and that was a reporter on 60 minutes who was awake and they tried to ask him questions and he tried not to cry. I am so amazed that people are so willing to share so thank you very much. Cheers

That was cute.

Author's Response: Cute; thank you as I’m sure you mean the story and not the procedure. LOL Thank you for reviewing. Cheers

I think I should plead the 5th and just let you live and learn. Some things need to be experienced first hand. I will just say I have lived thru more than one, but I was totally knocked out so I really have no idea what they did while I was sleeping. For all I know they could have used actual garden produce! Well I did wake up near the end of the first one and thought it was a golf club...I kicked the doctor. For the others I was kept under longer and deeper so I have no memory. The actual Prep is the worst, you must go in clean as a whistle from shall we say top to bottom. Very cute story, as always you know how to pick the most amusing topics and make them come to life in a QAF way. So, was Brian having problems that caused him to need this tests or is this based in the future, like when he's 50 years old? That's the usual time to start having a routine check up, but maybe with his life style he would a check up sooner, wear and tear might cause problems to show up sooner. Hmmm using that logic Justin should be the one on the table....I demand a rewrite!
Lori~ who else could come up with a review like this

Author's Response: How about a compromise I promise not to make Michael the villain in the next two pieces I write and then I don’t need to rewrite this. LOL. I’ve seen the procedure on TV where the reporter had it done. He was awake and they tried to ask him questions while he tried not to cry. I felt really bad for him but he did volunteer. I don’t usually give my stories a timeline but let’s go with it being in the future so Justin doesn’t have to worry about it just yet. Very cute; thank you my friend and I apologise if this brought back unpleasant memories. Cheers
