Very good work here. I loved the whole build up and suspense will they won’t they. Fantastic work loved every bit of it xx

Author's Response:

It's amazing how just a song title can inspire a story plot in me.  This was just one example.  I'm so happy that you enjoyed reading it, Vicki.  Thank you very much for your delightful comments.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!   It was great to see an adult Justin sticking to his guns and basically forcing Brian to admit his feelings for him.    I'm so happy that they got back together!!

Author's Response:

I love giving our boys a truly happy ending, and I'm really glad you enjoyed this one, Cullengirl.  Thank you very much for letting me know what you thought of it.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Just found this little gem of a story. As always you grab my attention. My only wish would that it be a multi-chaptered story as those are my very favorite. So glad you fell in love with the boys.

Author's Response:

What lovely comments.  Thank you so much, Suse.  It was easy to fall in love with such a dynamic couple like Brian and Justin.  Writing stories for them has been my greatest pleasure, and I'm so happy that you enjoyed this story in particular.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

This was so beautiful you thinking of doing a sequel

Author's Response:

I am so glad you enjoyed my story, Tasha.  This isn't one of the ones that I had ever planned to write a sequel to, but I really appreciate you asking about it.  And you can never predict what the future holds.  It has been a while since my last story, but hopefully I can get back to it in the near future.  Warm hugs, Grammy

So passionate! In honor of your anniversary, I'm going to read all your stories! That should keep me busy for a day or two! LOL! Off to the next one. . . TAG

Author's Response:

I love your comments, Tag.  This was one of the stories I wrote after my dry spell, when I'd almost quite writing for a while.  I'm so glad I still felt such strong love for the boys.  I am honored that you think my work is good enough to keep on checking out.  Thank you so much.  I look forward to anything you wish to write to me.  Huge hugs, Grammy

I loved it! Though you scared me for a moment there... I thought they were going to end up being separated.... ¬¬ But I always wondered what would've happened if Brian had really left for New York on the first season, I found that I like your version :) Hope to read you soon in another story! :) Kisses!

Author's Response:

You never have to be scared that Brian and Justin will be separated at the end of my stories, Mafita.  I am a hopeless romantic and simply can't do that to our boys.  I did write one story called 'Memories' which began with Brian's passing 60 years after he and Justin were together, but other than that, I have never parted them forever.  I really appreciate your lovely comments, Mafita.  Thank you so much.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Very nice story. They created for themselves!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for reading and commenting on my story, Saskya.  I love to imagine what might have been if the story had gone another way and I'm glad you enjoyed it.  Hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: Al (Anonymous) · Date: December 28, 2012 01:40 PM · On: Just Somebody That I Used to Know

I like the story! However, I wish it was longer. Like including what everyone in the family thought!? Otherwise it was nice. Short and Sweet!

Author's Response:

I apologize for my tardiness in responding to your comments, Al.  I was happy to hear from you.  I'm very glad you liked my story and I wish I had thought to add some perspective of the rest of the gang over the reunion.  In this case, my story simply centered on how Brian and Justin felt, but I might be able to give a more in depth peek into everyone else during another story.  I never know where my imagination will take me next.  Thank you again for taking the time to comment.  Hugs, Grammy

Very sweet.  Nicely done.  I love a strong, confident Justin.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Jackie Mag.  I love to think of Justin as being quite capable of handling himself, even when it concerns Brian.  LOL!  I'm glad you like that part of him too.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

Love it. Love it. Love it. I really enjoy a strong Justin and no matter what they would always end up together. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Cheers

Author's Response:

One of my favorite ways to write Justin is as a strong young man who knows how to stand up for himself.  I think it is one of his attributes, along with his gorgeous smile and adorable body, that Brian most loved about him.  I'm so glad you enjoyed this story, Flossee.  Thank you so much for the comments.  Warm hugs, Grammy

What alovely story. I'm glad Brians guest did not show up.and ruin the night.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, but I'm afraid the poor guy did show up.  Unfortunately for him, Brian and Justin were both far too busy getting 'reacquainted' to hear the buzzer when it kept going off.  LOL!  Poor guy had to go home and find another partner for the night.  His loss, Justin's gain.  LOL!  Huge hugs, Grammy

Such a moving story, so crushing at first then filled with hope when Justin showed his strength.  I loved it!

Author's Response:

One of my favorite things to do as a writer is to demonstrate how much Justin had grown up and his strength of character from the time Brian first spotted him to when he was in his twenties.  Your comments were so sweet.  Thank you very much, Kim.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

so good! i have seen this happening in my minds eye. so glad you put it to paper.:)

Author's Response:

What a wonderful compliment, Linda.  My goal is always to let my reader see the images I'm seeing when writing their stories, so you envisioning what I am is just what I want to hear.  Thank you so much.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

Love the storyline, love the way you write it.  Would LOVE to read more and find out where things went from there.  Also what happened with the guy Brian ordered online?

Author's Response:

I enjoyed your comments very much, YumYum.  Many folks have wondered what happened to the poor guy who lost out on a night with Brian.  It's really quite simple.  Brian and Justin were so deeply engrossed with renewing their love for one another that neither one of them even heard the buzzer when it went off in the midst of things.  The poor guy buzzed several times, but nothing.  Finally he got mad, cursed out the guy that had set up the date, and stormed off...heading home so he could get back online and leave a scathing comment for the jerk who had stood him up.  LOL!  I would have written that all out in the story, but I didn't want to interrupt Brian and Justin and what was happening to them.  Hope that answers your question.  Huge hugs, Grammy

That was great and I do love a ballsy Justin but what happened to the rent boy Brian ordered I kept thinking his appearance would cause a flutter lol

Author's Response:

You're not the first one to ask me about the trick.  LOL!  Like I told Bigpaw, in my opinion Brian and Justin were so wrapped up in each other that they never even heard the sound of the buzzer when the trick arrived to keep his date.  Poor guy must have given up when no one answered and left empty-handed...no Kinney sex for that poor guy.  LOL!  I'm glad you enjoyed my ballsy Justin.  I love to write him as a young man who stands up for himself because that's how I always see him, especially the older Justin.  Thanks for the wonderful comments, Chris.  Huge hugs, Grammy

So lovely!  Exactily what I was looking for - a little angst and wonderful reunion.  Bravo, lady, you wrote another winner!

All the best,

Laura

Author's Response:

Sometimes a little angst is needed as long as it always leads to that perfect reunion.  I'm so happy that you found this story enjoyable.  I appreciate your very kind comments very much, Laura.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

I always gasp with delight when I see something new from you. You always bring out the (not so well hidden) romantic in me. There are infinite alternate universe possibilities for this pair. This particular story is from one of the more bittersweet ones.

I waver between the belief that these two would have done much better to have first met when Justin was older and more mature, and the belief that Brian would never have let down his barriers at all without Justin's 'dewey-eyed schoolboy innocence' driving him to the edge of breaking every stalking law out there. Stories with separation time for them (like this one) somewhat mesh my two warring beliefs and usually, I think, turn out better for it. They meet and find a significance there, separate and let the memory of that significance worry them like a stray burr beneath a horse's saddle, and finally recognize the truth of that significance, of their destiny, when meeting again.

Damn, I love this couple! ;)

Thank you for this piece.

Roni

Author's Response:

This is such a wonderful review.  Thank you so much, Roni.  I absolutely love your comments about the earlier relationship between Brian and Justin and how things could have gone so differently.  I love the idea of them being apart and trying to move on with their lives, but never quite being able to shake their feelings for one another.  This story played into that notion perfectly.  I certainly understand your love for them.  Even though they made many mistakes in their relationship, there was something there that always showed through, even when they were angry or disappointed in one another.  Being an avowed romantic, I love honoring that connection.  Thank you again.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

I loved this story but I am was very worried about what was going to happen when Brian's hired guest was going to arrive. I don't think Justin would have wanted to include a third party, I think this was just a table for two! Now I am usually quick to defend Brian at all costs, even toss Justin to the lions if necessary but I think Brian could have really tried a little harder to try and stay in touch with his family. Did he really only keep in touch with Gus my Skype for the past 4-5 years? I think that is really bad parenting. He can do much better than that for his Sonny Boy. I know Justin is the one who encouraged him to take a more active role as a father but this is practically abuse. I hope that things will change now. I'm hoping Justin finds them a new home with a kid friendly back yard where Gus can have fun when he comes for his daddy time. Besides, Justin will need studio space. So will it be hard for Brian to give up all the one night stands? I don't think Justin will be willing to let that go on. He isn't going to willing to share Brian and he shouldn't have to.

So, do you think they managed to crawl off the floor and make it all the way to the bed? I hope there were warm towels in the bathroom because I'm sure at some point they needed bubbles and hot water splashing all around them.

Wonderful Story, as always. Can't wait for the next one.
Lori

Author's Response:

Oh dear, Lori, did I forget to mention that the trick did show up...but Brian and Justin were so wrapped up in each other they didn't even hear the buzzer going off from downstairs.  Poor guy had to go away empty-handed and broken-hearted.  His loss!

As for Gus, without Justin there to encourage him and make sure he knew what a great Dad he was capable of being, Brian simply let go and let the girls do their job as parents.  He did keep a close eye on Gus' upbringing, but only from the outside.  Of course, all that will have to change now that Justin is in the picture.  You don't really think that Justin has cut ties with Gus, now do you?  No way.  Brian will be a real Dad whether he likes it or not.  LOL!

Yep, no more one night stands for either of them...oh, there could be a 3 way or 4 way on occasion but only as a couple.  After all, variety is the spice of life.  LOL!  Thanks for your fantastic comments.  I love them.  Next one, as you know, is already on the boards.  See you then (if not sooner).  Huge hugs, Grammy

Howdy neighbor :)

Author's Response:

Howdy back at ya', neighbor!  And thank you so much for the stars.  They certainly make me smile.  Take care of yourself, and watch out for those maniacs on 30.  They can drive you into the lake without a glance backwards.  LOL!  Huge hugs, Grammy

Sad, yet lovely.

I had an idea to use this song during season 2-3.

But I loved this one so much!

~Nim*huggles*

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Nim.  I can easily picture the song being used as inspiration for many types of stories.  Good luck with your ideas.  There can never be too many B/J stories.  Huge hugs, Grammy
