‘he then had his hand between Justin’s thighs groping his nuts and rotating them between his fingers’ I found this to be interesting because really I think somewhere along the way Justin has lost his balls. Really your husband is out all night then brings you flowers. Grow a pair Justin and ask him where he has been. They may have an agreement but that doesn’t mean Justin has to be miserable just so he doesn’t upset Brian. That’s my rant. Sorry.

Please don’t let Vivian be the reason Rosalind is in the institution she is in, please let it be an illness as I couldn’t stomach a mother hurting a child. That’s my guess which is probably wrong but I like trying to read between the lines then getting a shock when I learn the truth.

I found this a frustrating chapter but I think it was meant to be, so thank you for the wonderful frustration and entertainment.

Cheers

Author's Response:

"That's my rant.  Sorry."  Oh, Flossee my dear, you never have to apologize to me.  Rant on my dear... rant on, lol!  It's all so GOOD.

they may have an agreement but Justin doesn't have to be so miserable.   What I try to do with my stories is stay kind of true to the originial QAF mood.  In the original Justin put up with all Brian's tricking and inability to fully commit to him and to say those three precious words I love you because he felt he had to put up with those things to stay inside a relationship with him. but he really didn't like it.  We knew that because it had a lot to do with him leaving Brian and going with Ethan and then in season five he finally left Brian for what seemed like for good; and Brian had to beg him to come back and make him some promises.

In this story Justin is doing something similar with the agreement, he's acting the way he's acting because he believes it has to be that way in order for him to stay inside a relationship with Brian.  And, in QAF it took him five years to bone up to the truth and tell Brian he wasn't taking it anymore.   In this story so far it's been barely a full two weeks before he started suspecting Brian is having an affair.  In fact, he hasn't quite made up his mind for sure if Brian is having an affair.  A part of him suspects it and another part of him doesn't feel like he is.  he's just so confused mostly because of it appearing to him that Brian is constantly on the phone with this man Harold and saying I love you to him all the time.  And although Justin doesn't understand that, he's hoping that that is all there is to it.  He's still holding on to what Brian said to him inside the car (when he told him that Justin is the only one he's ever loved and feels he would ever love).

I think he's more confused then anything else but in the event he is wrong, he just don't want to know and that's why he's afraid to bone up and just ask Brian.  But he tries, just like Brian tries to say 'l love you' to Justin.   They are two men who are struggling immensely with somethings that they both have to just get pass before it becomes to late for both of them.

Poor Jus - from ersonal experience, I've found it's ALWAYS bad news when your artner brings home flowers after being out all night with someone you don't know. TAG

Author's Response:

Bringing home the flowers.... I so agree with you there, TAG... and you can just BET who's going to drum that notion all the way home to Justin... one big hint:  Initials:  EG!

Now why didn't Brian say any one his love you's to Harold while he was with him in person??? He seemed rather hostile to him in the flesh. I think this birthday party is going to be very festive! I hope Gus doesn't suffer from any unwanted attention from the sparks that I'm sure are going to fly.

Author's Response:

"... why didn't Brian say one of his love you's to Harold while he was with him in person?"  Very good observation there, and that's a big clue in itself.   What does that says imparticularly about those telephone conversations?

And, you're right... he usually is hostile to Harold in person... so what does that tell you about the telephone conversations?  It's all about reading between the lines... and it has nothing to do with 'code' or 'spies' or any of that cool stuff.  But a lot to do with how those conversations BEGIN vs. how they END?

Now, this specific meeting wtih Harold, notice that the mood stayed consistent between Brian and Harold.  But during the other times did the mood appeared to be inconsistent?  If yes, why might it appear to be that way?   There are clues.
