Hi, Kim! I was ecstatic to see the update from you – I love this story dearly.

I loved Brian and Justin’s playful banter – they are so at ease with each other. And of course I love how passionate Brian is when it comes to his blond boy – he can barely keep his hands off him.

Wow, Brian riding the horse! I think it’s the first time in this story? It was amazing, I could almost see him! I love all those little incredible moments of their farm-life. Nature, wind, golden sun, laughter, horses… I wish I were there with them! 

Brian was so clearly excited – I loved it. He needed some distraction after that disastrous meeting with his so called parents.

The ending was shocking – why did you have to stop there? I look forward to seeing what Jared has to say. And how he will react to seeing Brian and Justin so very obviously in love.

As for the story, yes, there is a lot more to tell here.  And if you think THIS ending was shocking, it will be tame compared to the next one! (Ducking under desk..).  But I am so glad you are enjoying this. And I think once we get past the next chapter, things will be taking a lighter turn for the most part, although Brian still has to find a way to let his aunt and uncle know what he's doing (unless they find out first!).

I love the connection between the boys and the way you describe what Brian must feel on the racetrack. And moreover, I can't wait to read about Jared's visit. wonderful chapter--you go Brian. I knew this would happen. Hopefully he will win a big race for good money and give to aunt and uncle. No telling where that could lead, Now what does Jared want ???? Interesting!!! We are all well. Lee is off on his wild vacation HA!!! We will be waiting for stories and pictures yum!!! Hope you are ok and survived Mom's day. Dad's day will probably be harder for your family. Peace and love during that day. lol

So good to hear from you.;)  Yeah, Brian's feeling just a bit smug at the moment, but some of it could have just been some temporary serendipity.;)  And he hasn't encountered his aunt and uncle's reaction to what he's doing just yet. I will be exploring that in the upcoming chapter, along with Jared's purpose for being there. 

Mother's day wasn't too bad; next month will be, though. Not only do we have Father's Day, but also what would have been my mom and dad's 61st anniversary on 6/6.  That will be hard, but we'll just take it one day at a time. It will be difficult to have my first Father's Day without him here.  I still miss him terribly.

Really enjoyed this update.  I love harness racing.  Brian really enjoyed his first time out.  Now what is up with Jared.  Hopefully he will be happy for his brother and Brian.

I have never seen a harness race in person, but have seen a regular horse race.  I was always fascinated with the trotting horse, though; ever since I saw an old movie from the 50's.  I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Ah ha, the dreaded cliffy at the end, LOL. Another great chapter, Kim, Justin’s embarrassment at being caught ogling Brian’s bare chest at the beginning gave me a good chuckle, I really like the way these two interact in this story. Brian is really in his element on the track and I love the bond that he and True Blue are forming, I’m assuming they will eventually be on an actual race track competing against other horses and drivers,  it will be exciting to see what these two can do.

Wonderfully written.  I felt like I was on the track.  Something tells me that once Brian gets on the race track there will be no stopping him.  Do you suppose that Jared and Emmett could get together?
