This made me smile from start to finish. Tricky is one of my favorites and I hope we do see more of him. I teared up at Gus's present to his dad and Justin. I wished they lived closer. Such a beautiful chapter x

Really enjoyed this first story of the Tricky Universe series.  Got to love any story that portrays a realistic way in which our boys continue their relationship and I love anything that shows Brian's caring side in his undisguised love for Gus:-)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! I, too, really like including interaction between Brian and Gus in my stories. I always loved how tender Brian was with his son, despite his initial affirmation that he would remain only a 'sperm donor.' We all know it did not turn out that way, and I'm glad it didn't. Thank you for reading this story, and for the comments! *Hugs* ~Kim

This was such a wonderful story. I loved every word. Funny, emotinal, caring, loving....it had everything.

Thank you for sharing it xoxo

Thank you so much for reading this story and for your kind words. I'm so delighted that you enjoyed this.  BTW, there are three more stories with Tricky featured. I hope you will enjoy those as well if you get a chance.  Thank you again for the support! *Hugs* ~Kim

This was so sweet!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! So glad that you liked it, along with the second "Tricky" Story.  BTW, there are two more stories involving Tricky if you are interested and haven't read them:  "Fit to Be Dyed," and "The Dog Days of Summer."  I hope you will enjoy those if you get a chance. And I do intend to write a new Tricky story soon.  Thank you again for your support.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Love this story.  You always do such a great job with Gus in your stories.  Nice to reread this favorite.

Author's Response:

Thank you, Bill!  I really appreciate that.  I do enjoy writing Gus into a lot of stories, since it always touched me how Brian reacted so lovingly to him, despite his own horrid experiences with his own father.  Thank you for reading and for your kind comments.  BTW, noticed you might be having an issue with responding to comments on your story.  If you want me to edit them, I can. Just send me a PM.  Good luck on your own story, and welcome again to the site!  Let me know if I can be of any help to you, and I will work on a banner in the meantime. *Hugs*  ~Kim

I loved this sooooo much. Story for the month. Congrats, girl, you certainly deserve it.. Tricky is the best. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc! Thank you for the good wishes.  I'm happy that you enjoyed Tricky.  I will be most likely writing at least one more story with him, since I still have a wedding - not to mention Tricky's offspring - to deal with. I've actually started on it a little, but it will be a while before I can start writing it in earnest. Thanks again, my friend. You're the best, too.;) *Hugs*  Kim

Brian and Mel's worst nightmare.  LOL  I love Brian's quick wit and all the double entendres; add Tricky into the mix; hilarious.  Thanks for the entertainment.  Congratulations on the blue ribbon and being Feature Story for November.

Cheers

Author's Response:

Hi, Flossee! Thank you for reading and for your comments.;)  I'm glad that you enjoyed the interaction between Brian and his 'nemesis.'  The poor man is going to be tormented yet again at some point; it's just a matter of finding the time to write it! Hope your surgery went well. Thanks again.  ~Kim

PS - This was the perfect feature story for November and indeed earned its lovely blue ribbon!

Thank you! That means a lot to me. And thank you again for choosing to read my stories. That is greatly appreciated and means the world to me.  *Hugs* ~Kim

It appears that they couldn't wait until they got to their room.  At least they got it settled that Justin will be coming home so they can go to sleep and wake up together.  Have you notice that Gus is always happy to be with his dad, unlike Brian who always looked for ways to be somewheres else.  Goes to show he's a much better father then his own was.  Now I'm off to read more Tricky Tales.  Have you ever thought to add Tricky as a character?

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  LOL!  I never thought about adding him!  I guess unless someone else wanted to write about him it probably wouldn't matter. But I'm glad you like him so well.;)  And yes, it always amazed me how differently Brian treated his son and the tender expression  on his face when he look at him compared to the way that Jack treated HIM.  I always thought that one scene where Brian was agonizing over whether or not he would be a good father to Gus was so touching.  Thank you for all the comments and for reading this!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hello, Kim!

How I love their stories with Trick. They are wonderful and very fun. I love to see Bian surrendering to love for Justin and Gus. I believe that Brian only shows how truly is before their two boys. And you can capture these moments in a perfect way like no one else can.

A big hug, sweetie!

Fatima.

Author's Response:

I've read this story several times and loved it more and more. Tricky seems to be a doggy Brian, I've read your other stories with Gus and Tricky and each story just gets better, we all know regardless of what Brian says he's really a softy.

Author's Response:

Hello, there! Thank you for the comments and for reading this story, along with the other Tricky stories. I agree - I think Brian grumbles a lot about things, but when it comes to his two 'boys,' he IS a big softly underneath.  So glad that you enjoyed them!  I still want to write another one in this 'verse about their wedding - and another 'addition' to the family (wink, wink).  I hope to start on that in the near future. Thank you again for taking the time to comment on this story; it is greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hi!

I loved the story, especially Brian's interaction with Tricky. :)

Thank you!!!

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and for the feedback, Sasha!  I'm so glad you liked the story.:)  I actually had some of the same experiences with another dog - at least the eating at night part.  I was staying in D.C. at my friend's brother's place and he had a dog who decided to eat in the middle of the night just like Tricky.  Then we heard a cat fight going on outside right after that.  You had to laugh at that point, because it was all so ridiculous!  I really wanted to include the cat fight in the story, too, but I couldn't find a good way to do it.  Maybe in a Christmas sequel?  I'm going to try and include Tricky somewhere in another story if I can - I really like that guy - LOL!  Thanks again for reading and taking the time to comment, Sasha - that is so motivating to me!:)~Kimberly

I enjoyed every minute of reading this story! I love how it was upbeat and funny and loving at the same time. Tricky a.k.a Cujo definitely made the story :o) Great read for sure.

Author's Response:

Aww..thanks, Yvee!  It's nice to have a fluffy piece at times, especially with the angst going on in my other stories.:)  I'm so glad you liked Tricky - I will work hard to give him an encore performance sometime soon.:)  Thanks for all your support, my friend.:)

Reviewer: Armandyouidiot (Signed) · Date: November 26, 2011 10:30 PM · On: Make A Wish

Thank you for such a heartwarming, well written story.  Once again Tricky just seemed so real and such a good dog!  I am thrilled Justin thought of “if they drive down, Tricky could come too.”

Gus’ gift was so cute and sweet.  It was wonderful to hear him say “my other Daddy Jus’n.”  Leave it to our boys to have quick elevator-sex (shakes head with a smile); the taxi driver missed a show, heheh!  I loved that Justin brought the wishbone and they are going to make the wish happen!!

Author's Response:

Thank you, Kim!  I so glad you liked it!:)  I still see Justin as being the sentimental, romantic type; hence the wishbone.  I thought that might be a cute way of him trying to tell Brian how he felt, but Brian beat him to the punch - LOL!  I would love to write Tricky into the Christmas story I'm working on; I'm really going to try and do that if I can, but the story I'm thinking of will take place in New York initially and then perhaps move back to Britin.  Thanks again for all your support of my stories, Kim; hope you had a great Thanksgiving!:)

This is such a wonderful little story and I would love to see Tricky again. I think we will rename our dog Tequila to Tricky - they're just the same in their habits and attitude except for to coat color. The öetter from Gus is heartwrenching - I had tears in my eyes. You did a fantastic job again, thank you!

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  Thanks so much for reading this!  LOL!  I think the name of your dog is great, too.:)  I have some other ideas on how Tricky can continue to torment Brian, so hopefully he will make another appearance soon.:)  I'm dogsitting my neighbor's black lab mix this weekend, and he's giving me some other ideas.  For instance, why is it so appealing for dogs to hone in on something that is dead and promptly roll in it??  I never HAVE figured that out (BTW - he hasn't done that with me, thank goodness, but he made me think about when my own dogs did that!).  And why do male dogs always have to pee on every tree between the house and where you walk them?  LOL!  Thanks again for reading and commenting, my friend.  That means a lot to me.:P)  I am now moving onto the Elvis story.:)

Finally time to review.

I was reading this wonderful, HOT, funny, heartwarming (love Gus poem) chapter and helping my daughters with their surprises for "Sinterklaas" .

Don't think you know about Sinterklaas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinterklaas It's a kind of santa claus, but he's here for three weeks bringing little (and big) gifts and "pepernoten". When the children don't believe in Sinterklaas anymore they become creative in making surprises for other children in their class.

made by Belana (elephant)

Hope to see more of Tricky, I love that dog. And I was a bit sad for not seeing the iceskating part.

* big hug *

Oh my * giggles * hope the pictures are not too big * blushes * I'm gonna hit "submit" now * shutting my eyes *

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie!  I was able to see them just fine after pasting them in the browser.:)  Thanks for sending them to me.  VERY cute!!  I especially like the elephant.  And thanks for the link about Sinterklaas.  I like that tradition.:)  Someone else said they wanted to see the iceskating part and suggested taking Tricky.  I wish I had thought of that and I would have done it, but I told the other reader that maybe I could find a way for them to go iceskating at Britin instead in a Christmas story.:)

BTW - You sound like you have a very good relationship with your daughters, Marny, that's great!  I wish I had had kids; I suppose that's why I always spoil my nieces and nephews.:)  Thanks for reading and for your comments, my friend.  You are so good about that with my stories and I appreciate that so much.  *Big* hug to you.:)

Reviewer: Kym (Anonymous) · Date: November 26, 2011 05:10 AM · On: Make A Wish

I loved this story so much.  I read in your review responses you are writing a Christmas story with "maybe" Tricky.  That will be sweet.  Brian is going to wind up loving that dog.  Can't wait for that story.  I wanted to get this review in before now but have been really busy--more paperwork.  How many trees do we have to kill--really.  I hope you had a nice turkey day with your family.

Author's Response:

Hi, Kym!  You're so great about reviewing my stories - thank you so much, my friend!  I'm so glad you liked Tricky's tales - ha!  I think Tricky IS starting to grow on him, so I will work hard for him to make a return appearance in the Christmas story.  I'm dogsitting my neighbor's black lab mix this weekend, so maybe he'll give me some inspirations.:)  Had a nice Thanksgiving with the extended family, but ate way too much!!  I'm hoping to go to Cologne next June, so maybe that will give me the incentive I need to lose some of the pounds I gained beforehand - ha!  Hope you had a great holiday, too.  Thanks for taking the time to read and especially leave a comment, Kym.  I am very appreciative.:)  I am now moving onto Justin and Rob's teenage crush in the Elvis story.  Take care - *hugs*.

"He had to continually divert his attention from the road ahead back to his passengers as he observed the other man slowly slinking his way over toward the blond’s part of the seat."

The episodes in the cab and then in the elevator were hilarious and hot at the same time.

I liked the scene with Gus and his award winning poem. It was perfect.

I was surprised the wishbone was used to make a wish. I thought it was going to involve Tricky in some way. LOL

I happy that the wish kept the two of them from continuing their long distance realtionship. It was a perfect ending.

Thank you for the story! :)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your kind comments, my friend!  Probably wouldn't want to risk having Tricky choke on the wishbone - LOL!  Besides, I think Justin got a lot more use out of it, even though Brian DID cheat.:)  I'm so glad you enjoyed the story, and our canine character may make another appearance in an upcoming story.  Thanks for reading.:)

Reviewer: BigPaw (Signed) · Date: November 25, 2011 01:31 PM · On: Make A Wish

I'm far from America this year.  I saved this story to read on Thanksgiving.  I knew I was going to enjoy it for many reasons and of course it was even better than I could have imagined.  I am a world class dog lover so Tricky was a great addition to the family.  I love your way of telling a story.  You know how to develop a plot and move it along in a well paced manner.  Thanks so much for making my Thanksgiving Holiday!

Lori

Author's Response:

Aww....thank you, Lori, you're very kind.:)  I'm so glad you liked it.:)  I love labs - in fact, I will be dogsittng one for my neighbor this weekend while they're away; they're such sweet dogs.:)  I can't tell you how much your kind words about my writing mean to me.  That is pretty much the only reason why I write them, to know that others are enjoying them, so I appreciate that so much.  I'm going to try and include Tricky again at some point; for now, I'm moving onto Justin and his dilemma involving a certain teenager's crush on him.:)  Thanks again, dear friend, for reading.:)

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: November 25, 2011 11:08 AM · On: Make A Wish

Hold it right there!!! Where is the skating???  I wanted Brian falling down and Tricky rescueing him from all the other skaters.  A three person and one dog pile up!!!!

You have a plan for Brian and Justin to not be seperated so much and I want to read it.    More Gus, more Tricky, and much more Brian & Justin....together.

Author's Response:

LOL!  I wish I had thought about Tricky being included in the ice skating, because I might have been tempted to extend it just a little.:)  Great idea!  If you don't mind, maybe I'll try and include that in the Christmas story - maybe some ice skating on the lake at Britin?  I like it!!  Thanks for the idea.:)  I am definitely planning on writing a Christmas story that may involve our little troublemaking pooch, but it will start in NYC first.  Thank you for reading the first part of Tricky's adventures and for your comments - that is so motivating to me!  Hope you had a great Thanksgiving - I know the boys did - ha!:)

Reviewer: Reader (Anonymous) · Date: November 25, 2011 08:06 AM · On: Make A Wish

You are definately no two chapter wonder, why did you even entertain that idea(grin).... You talent and skill is in many many many chapters (thump up) so write on............

Particularly enjoyed the interaction between Brian and Tricky....

Author's Response:

Aww...thank you SO much for your comments! That really makes my day.:)  I'm so glad you liked it!  Yes, I should know better than to indicate I'm only going to write a chapter or two - sometimes I can but it's rare.:)  I think Tricky will be back - he's so enamored with Brian, there's just no way to keep them apart - ha!  I hope you will continue to enjoy more of my stories.  Thanks again for reading this and especially leaving me a comment - that is very motivating to me.:)  Hope you had a great Thanksgiving  - I'm sure the boys did!:)

Another amazing story, as usual. I can't wait for your next update or fanfiction :)

I would love to see a sequel to this, about christmas at Britin, but that's up to you.

Gabe x

Author's Response:

Aww...thanks so much, my friend!  That is so kind of you to say.:)  I am definitely planning on writing a Christmas story that I think will at least be loosely tied into this one; I hope you will enjoy that one as well.  Thanks for taking time out of your holiday to read my story and leave me your thoughts.  That is so motivating to me!  Thanks again - hope you have a great Thanksgiving!:)

what a sweet story this was.  cried again, guess it's because it's the holidays starting.  I get a bit maudlin at this time of year.  love these boys so much and love stories at this time of year.  seems i remember reading a while ago a christmas story by our gracious writer.  maybe another this year???  just hoping.  going to eat with my friends, families and the peeps.  things are a bit slower this week during thanksgiving, so we have a couple days off.  that's something to be thankful for as we are all a bit drained.  i hope you have a great day!!  lol

Author's Response:

Thanks so much, dear friend.:)  I hope you and your friends and family have a great day, too.  Say hello to all the peeps who have been so supportive of me over the past year - that means so much to me!  And yes!  I am definitely planning on writing a Christmas story - if it works out the way I think it does, it will be a 'jealous Brian' story - I love to torment that poor man - ha!  And if I can swing it, I think Tricky may be making a guest appearance.:)  And now I am onto the saga of poor Justin's dilemma with Rob and his crush in "Hunka, Hunka Burnin' Love."  Thanks again for reading so many of my stories, lindc!  Have a great day!:)
