How nice of Alex to pop up again. The only good thing I can think is there is no way he can handle twins, so I'm hoping that once he knows he will have to deal with twice the hate he'll realize that Justin isn't all that wonderful. Then of course a jealous Brian won't be a fun new friend for him to pal around with. I still think it would be best to to just kick Justin to the curb and move on, he does seem to have his fan club, even poor Gus is still captivated by his memories of the other father he loved so much. I hope something can change Justin back into the wonderful person they all loved before. Glad to see the two kitties are being well cared for, I hope in some way they can be returned to Kaylee. Even if they have to live in the barn with the horses!
I do so enjoy your stories, how lucky we are that you post them here for us...

I consider that a great compliment.:) I'll see what I can do about the dog (Alex) and the cats, too - ha! I think if Justin and Kaylee wind up at Britin the cats should definitely be a part of it. Good thing this is different than Tricky's stories; I don't think Tricky would be a cat lover, do you? I could just see him chasing them all over the house, knocking down expensive Ming vases and Tiffany lamps with his tail - LOL! But I'll try to make this version of Britin dog-free.
Alex can try, but I don't think he'll get very far in his pursuit of Justin; but you've given me an idea, though; perhaps he won't know there're two of them at first. Can you imagine double the torment against him? What a delicious idea! I may have to think about that!

Sometimes it is good to overhear things about ourselves, Justin is at last starting to hear Brian. He has been so angry for so long he could not hear Brian before. LOL I’m so pleased you are bringing Alex back as Brian might realize his ex is hot and other men want him but he stayed faithful when they were together. Yeah I’m like a dog with a bone, I won’t let it go. LOL Brian needs to grovel. Justin of course won’t go back to Alex but it can give Brian a little reality check. I am really trying to like this Brian but maybe bring on farmer Brian as I need to calm down. I can’t wait for this and the farmer update.

Author's Response: Hi, Sweetheart! Congratulations on the new wheels! I was secretly hoping for a red one - I'm assuming candy apple red from one of the names that was thrown out? (pardon the pun - ha!). Well, you DID say it was a 'she,' so that narrows it down and only 5 letters is a challenge. I was thinking maybe 'smokn' or 'flamn,' but let me give it some more thought. That kind of sounds too much like a Whoppe - LOL! Perhaps a combination of letters and numbers? I guess "Dopy" is out - ha! Speaking of the next chapter, what a wonderful review, Lee! I can't tell you what your words mean to me. How I wish I COULD get paid to just write; I really envy those people who are paid to do something that they love. I do like to teach, but honestly I can't quite say that I consider it a passion. Maybe one day I'll work up enough nerve to try and get a story published; who knows?

It seems like everyone's forgotten about Daphne. Considering that she has a good relationship with both Kaylee and Katie as well as with Brian and Justin it's surprising that no one's told her that the girls have been reunited and are in Pittsburgh and especially that Kaylee is in the hospital after almost being killed.
Author's Response: Hi, Rixa - thank you for reading and for your comments. Good point - actually, Daphne is due to pop up in the next chapter; I think Justin could use someone to confide in and to help push him in the right direction, which should help Brian's case when they finally have their talk. Part of the reason why she hasn't come up, I suppose, is partly logistics. I sometimes think I'm TOO wordy in my stories for some readers' tastes and maybe get too in-depth with details, and I get worried that if I try to include every possible character in the story, I'll never get finished - LOL! But I do think it's important as the biological mother that she be included at least somewhat in the plot, even though she has not had quite the extensive involvement with them that the fathers had, although she DID know of the plot to help reunite them. Not sure how Justin will feel about that little tidbit of information when he finds out, hopefully it will be addressed in the next chapter.
In any case, thank you again for the comments and for reading; despite my occasional misfirings, I DO hope it is not preventing you from enjoying the story. *Hugs* ~Kim

I can't help but get excited when I see a new update from you, especially, since all your stories are my favorite.
The kids are still scheming and they have Gus' help now -- good.
Justin pretended to be asleep was worthy of his twins.
Alex back in the picture makes things more interesting -- nice build up.
It's clear that Brian and Justin love each other and want to get back together. Brian just may have to do some major groveling and Justin may have to let go of the past.
